The email was pages long, all about the problems in her marriage. Each line was about how her husband had ruined the marriage. She pointed out actions of her husband, and he did make mistakes (no abuse, mind you). She wanted to know what to do -- how to save her marriage -- given the fact that it wasn't her fault. She was clear that she wanted the marriage, but she just didn't know what to do, after all he had done to damage the relationship. NMF She was skidding down the fastest path to failing in her efforts. And she didn't see how she had anything to do with it. NMF When we talked on the phone, I asked a little bit more about the dynamics of the relationship. But I noticed she kept shifting back to "he did...," "he didn't...." She could point out his failures and shortcomings. And then she would return to her question: Given his actions, how could she save her marriage? NMF I had no doubt that she really wanted to save her marriage. And I had little doubt that she would be unsuccessful. Because she had fallen in the NMF trap. Figured it out yet? The NMF trap is "Not My Fault." Here is the problem with "Not My Fault": It leaves you stuck. It does relieve you of blame or fault. But it also tends to rob people of responsibility (Response-Ability). Let's talk about why this trap happens and how to avoid it. Listen below. On this episode I curse a LOT and the Holy Spirit loves me regardless. He actually gifted me something in a foreign language at the end. I speak about a book I am borrowing using the Interlibrary Loan program from another county's library since rich car insurance companies have stopped all my income for almost 3 months from a car wreck that was NOT MY FAULT. I will buy tons of copies and distribute to the masses once the people and organizations that have stolen from me and my family pay up. My husband's associations have been tracing everything so the more harassment I receive and delay of medical treatment, the bigger the lawsuit. Keep delaying and keep choosing to thin your own wallets

Overcoming Folly - Part 37 "It's Not My Fault!" With Rabbi Ari Sollish (Recorded live at the Intown Jewish Academy on October 31, 2021) It's not easy to accept responsibility. There seems to be a natural human tendency to deflect and blame and point fingers at others -- all in order to shift responsibility elsewhere. Instead of internalizing, we externalize. Of course, this shifting and blaming detracts from our ability to correct and grow. Yet, we seem to prefer the comfort of excuse to the discomfort of fault. Where does the need to blame come from? In this session of Kabbalah & Coffee, we will explore the origins of excuses and learn why human beings have such a difficult time accepting responsibility. We see how blame is sourced in some of the deepest crevices of the soul -- and at the same time discover some powerful tools to combat deflection.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Clay “Krucial” Perry III over Zoom video! Memphis’ newest hometown hero Clay “Krucial” Perry III released his major label mixtape debut, If We Must Die, via Tay Keith’s Drumatized label and Warner Records. Clay came to fame as a revered sound engineer who’s worked with artists like NBA Youngboy and Rico Nasty, but he’s since leapt from the mixing board to the booth. If We Must Die featuring Tripped Red and Tay Keith is an accomplished tape filled with emotional and sonically progressive trap anthems. Over booming drums, grinding guitars, and haunted keys provided by Drumatized producers, Clay details his indomitable rise in lyrics as vivid as they are poignant. Listen HERE. If We Must Die is equally banging and thoughtful, finding Clay weighing his success in the studio against all he’s survived. Lead single, “4TheDayiGo,” which received a powerful and cinematic video, is one of several pained ballads. Backed by a moody suite of sparse keys and thumping drums, Clay juxtaposes his constant grind with the mortal threat of street life: “I told you I ain't wanna live my life this way / Keep my strap on me, I could go die any day.” If We Must Die also features the rising single “Not My Fault.” In unforgettable auto-tuned croons, Clay swears retaliation for any opposition and affirms he’s working too hard to “smoke, kick, and talk.” Clay has been working for several years under the “Krucial” moniker, releasing well-received independent projects like Krucifix (2018), It Could’ve Been Different (2019), and The Hussle Theory (2019), which garnered the attention of prominent super-producer and fellow Memphis native Tay Keith. In 2020, Tay Keith signed Clay to his growing label, Drumatized, as its debut act. And yet, If We Must Die still feels like just the beginning for Clay. He’s ready to bring his label and his city with him as he takes his sound well beyond Memphis. We want to hear from you! "If you go looking for the truth, get the whole thing. It's like a good fuck: half is worse than none at all." — Maeve (Westworld) Welcome back to Homo In Training, the best podcast ever! We are continuing our Queer Sex Series for our "thotful moment" this week. We recorded this last summer and have 3 hours of material and wanted to release it in cute little CHUNKS. This is Part 2 out of 6 to come this year. J & Lesly are joined by some returning guests: Bella, Casey and our roommate Angel. They will be featured on all our Queer Sex Series episodes, so we hope you love them. Listen as we take a deep dive into what we as queer people, consider as “sex”, do people consider mutual masturbation or blow jobs as sex, and why is it that we only consider “penetration” as “real sex”? These are the question the gays ponder on this episode! On every episode J & Lesly feature something they’re loving right now called a Double Feature. We call it our DOUBLE FEATURE because there's two of us and we wanna feature some sh*t. ☺ It can be a podcast, tv show, music, book or anything! Our Double Feature for this episode is Princess Nokia's new song/music video "It's Not My Fault" and Lil Nas X's new song/music video "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)". SUPPORT BLACK LGBTQ ARTISTS! Did we mention we made a Spotify Playlist? Check it out! New playlist every month! If you haven't listened to Part 1 of our Queer Sex Series, please check out that episode! We reference it a lot. *Recorded June 27th As the first musical guest of the season, Rosewood Bape joins Chizz this week to talk about his music and big changes in his life. The Mattapan raised and lovable R&B singer/crooner gives listeners a side of him he's not accustomed to sharing. He first made a name for himself in 2015 with his first hit single "Taxi" which opened the door to a plethora of singles and his debut album RoseGold. Working with industry names like Zoey Dollaz & PNB Rock also helped broaden his stage on a national level. It's been 5 years since Rosewood Bape's first hit and he delivered with his most recent effort, "Not My Fault". The single is being played on a lot of radio stations, in and out of Boston! Another major milestone for Bape is him becoming a father at the beginning of this year as he and his lady welcomed their son. Tune in and learn how life has changed for Rosewood Bape and get a little more personal with one of your favorites! “Musical Chairs” premiered on March 19th, 2013. It was written by Becky Mode, and was directed by Broadway’s very own, Casey Nicholaw! The viewership was down again from the previous week, by about a quarter-million viewers, amounting to a total of 2.66 million. We saw two full original songs and two excerpts this week, which means, no pop covers! Our in-home team of Shaiman and Whitman wrote Liaisons’ Ce N’Est Pas Ma Faute (It’s Not My Fault) sung by Sean Hayes, and Bombshell’s The National Pastime, sung and tapped by Katherine McPhee and the Bombshell ensemble. From Hit List we heard a reprise of Heart Shaped Wreckage from last week, and a new opening song called Rewrite This Story, written by Pasek & Paul. Now that Derek is signed onto direct Hit List, Scott Nichols of Manhattan Theatre Workshop offers the theatre’s 80-seat underground space. He is afraid it doesn’t have much of an overwriting theme to appease his mainstage subscribers, but he will reconsider if stubborn Jimmy and agreeable Kyle are able to reinvent Hit List by Friday. Taking over the direction of Bombshell is harder than Tom anticipated - it’s like Tom and Karen are speaking different languages. In the absence of any legal agreements about using Derek’s concepts in Bombshell, Tom is forced to reinvent the show. And in the absence of Derek’s choreography, Tom’s staging on numbers like “The National Pastime” turn Bombshell into a sugar-induced headache. What the show also needs is to get rid of Jerry Rand as a producer. The silver bullet comes in the form of a contract Eileen signed with the Marilyn Monroe estate for the use of her journals - which heavily influenced Julia’s book. In a hostile takeover, the women of Bombshell force Jerry to sign over the show to Eileen. At Liaisons, Ivy has cemented her talent as “The Terry Whisperer,” but she and Terry both hate this “meh” version of the show and make a pact that it might as well go down in a blaze of glory. With an over-the-top version of a Terry Falls-helmed number called “It’s Not My Fault,” Liaisons announces that it will close at the end of the week, making Ivy a free agent. The musical chairs between Bombshell and Hit List come to a head at the opening night of Liasions, where everybody wants what they can’t have: Jerry and Karen want Derek to return Bombshell, while Derek wishes that he had a book writer like Julia and a star like Karen. It’s unclear what Jimmy wants, other than to not write a new opening number for his show. Karen starts the musical chairs in motion, acknowledging to Tom that she’s not his Marilyn - Ivy is. Derek also admits to Kyle and Jimmy that he believes in Hit List so much he will even direct the show in a 80-seat blackbox. But it turns out he doesn’t have to - when Jimmy writes Hit List a banger of a new opening called “Rewrite This Story.” Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this episode (Season 2 Episode 3) I give a few shout outs, and then we get down to today's episode theme. It's Not My Fault! As a child, I remember when I would do something wrong, or make a mistake, one of the first things I would do would be to go on the defensive and say it wasn't my fault, even before I had considered whether or not it was. For many of us, this carries on into adulthood and while momentarily that may spare us the consequences, the truth is, that when we don't take responsibility, we also relinquish our power to make the changes we need to make things right.Bad things will happen to us and around us and while those things are not always our fault, we really do have the responsibility to create a response that works in our favour, that sets us up to get back up after we have hit rock bottom. The state of your life is your fault. Now, what are you going to do about it?Follow Adam Online Here:Instagram: http://instagram.com/adambruxFacebook: http://facebook.com/adambruxukSnapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/adambruxWebsite: http://adambrux.co.ukSoundcloud | https://soundcloud.com/adambrux/Twitter: http://twitter.com/adambruxMedium: http://medium.com/@adambrux
Did you ever ask yourself why you've ever suffered despite having done everything right? After having an ultra-stressful week thanks to certain bottom-feeding scumbags that I had mistakenly allowed into my business circle, I had an epiphany that I would like to share with you. Fortunately it only took me three decades to get to this conclusion, but it's an important one. If you've been experiencing any suffering whatsoever, I urge you to read on so that you can start feeling good again, take control of your feelings, and live an amazing life free from pain. I'll start with my own story. Generally, I've always done things right in life. I was born with intelligence and logic. In addition to that, I spent years in school, always at the top of my class, never getting into trouble. I always follow the law, have never been charged with a crime, and have never even received a speeding ticket in my entire life. Financially, I am very conservative with my money and save well. On the health side, I exercise regularly, and eat an ultra-clean diet, low in meats yet high in proteins and necessary nutrients – I have a clean bill of health. I'm close with my parents and have a group of amazing friends. Despite all of this, I have found that there has been suffering in my life. When I say “suffering”, I'm referring to any pain, anguish or stress – basically any negative feelings – that I have felt. I realized there was a clear disconnect as this equation didn't make sense. It didn't make sense that I experienced suffering when I was doing everything “right”. I had to get to the bottom of this conundrum. Don't get me wrong. My life is amazing and always has been. I'm certainly not here to paint a bleak picture – I've travelled the world, was raised very well, and have lived a privileged life. More importantly, I've never been one to live a “glass half-empty” kind of life, ever. When things have gone wrong, I've always blamed myself because at the end of the day, even if someone else screws me over, my thought process is that it was my fault for letting them do so in the first place. But wanting more answers, I decided to figure out what exactly was the problem, so that I could find a solution and live an even better life. Enough was enough. PROBLEM I found the problem right away: I was suffering because of other people and for other people. Blame-game time. Rarely, almost never in fact, was I feeling pain because of my own unilateral actions. As a child, my suffering was caused by bullies at school who belittled me because of my skin color. At home, I suffered without even realizing it, as I had a family member that experienced depression for years. Even though the bullying ended around the age of eight, there was still pain thanks to the household situation. In latter years, a crazy girlfriend with her own issues would cause suffering. Now, as an attorney, I unfortunately found suffering all around me on a daily basis with overbearing clients trying to impose their poor life decisions on me not by simply hiring me to do legal work, but by wanting me to emotionally share in their grief. The final straw most recently was another attorney (not sure how he even has a license given his stupidity) who has spent his life making mistakes and yet blaming everyone else for his own incompetency and failures, desperately trying to draw innocent bystanders into his internal chaos. I call him “Mr. It's Not My Fault”. For someone like me who is hyper-sensitive to people's energies, these things are so emotionally draining and painful, that I found myself experiencing some form of suffering on a regular basis. Because it happened so gradually, I never took an opportunity to realize what was going on. As we adapt, feeling these negative emotions just became part of the job, or part of life, and I accepted it. Until now. What's the point in “doing everything right” in life,

Guest: Warren Hoemann, Industry Expert There is a recently started program from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration that allows trucking companies and truck drivers to remove crashes that were in no way their fault from federal safety records. Host Evan Lockridge speaks with Warren Hoemann, a former FMCSA deputy administrator and a past senior vice president with the American Trucking Associations about this demonstration program in the second installment of the two-part series “It’s Not My Fault.” They also discuss how people in trucking can use the program for their benefit, following an outcry from the trucking industry that non-preventable crashes were unfairly causing trucking safety records to be less than accurate. Eyes on the Road is the official podcast from PrePass, the premier weigh station bypass service for the trucking industry in North America.

Some times the messed up situations we find ourselves in are a result of someone else's mistake or maybe we chose to stand with someone in their trouble. As followers of Christ we cannot run from the messed up, we are called to stand, to forgive, and to keep moving toward Jesus. This is what Moses does when the Hebrews make a horrible mistake.
THE NFL offseason is upon us!!! This years offseason has gotten off to an amazing start, big Free Agency signings, huge trades, early round draft positioning, and through it all two things remain constant.... The JETS will somehow bungle this whole thing - and Green Bay needs to walk away from Mike McCarthy. The NMF boyz also welcome Joseph aka @Whattheduke & the What the Duke podcast on to discuss sports, and remind everyone that the Bulls really are not that good of a franchise. “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” ~ Proverbs 4: 23 Victim or Victor. Both words begin with the same four letters, but they are complete opposites in definition. Which one are you? Let's take a look at some of the characteristics of each. See where you fit in. VICTIMS: --believe they have little or no control over their lives. They are swept along by the desires of others and refuse to take responsibility for their lives. They often don't know how to say no. ---think that their past equals their future. They feel condemned and controlled by what happened to them and hopeless that things will ever change. --are ruled by their circumstances. Victims feel powerless to do anything about their circumstances and, hence, succumb to them. VICTORS: --believe that they alone are responsible for their lives. They do not allow others to control their lives. They "own" their lives and take charge of them under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. --know that their past does not equal their future. They feel empowered to make those choices that will create for them the kind of life they want to live. They believe that they have a free will that can change things. --are not ruled by their circumstances. Instead, they rule over their circumstances by the pro-active way in which they respond to their circumstances. So, which one are you? Victim or Victor? "You are a victor to the degree to which you take charge of your life." ~ Dr. MaryAnn Diorio If you discovered that you are a victim, you can change. If you discovered that you are a victor, keep doing what you're doing. But if, like most of us, you found yourself somewhere in-between, take heart. God is still working on us. The fact that we are still on this earth means that God has not finished with us yet. So, be encouraged. It is only by His power that we can be set free from a victim mentality and develop a victor mentality. Ask the Lord to help you see where your thinking is wrong and to change it. Depend on Him to help you break free of the chains of victimization and to walk in the freedom He died to give you. In their pivotal book, It's Not My Fault, Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend make a critically important statement: "You can be free from whatever situation surrounds you to the degree that you are willing to take responsibility and ownership for it, even it it's not your fault." So, whether you are a victim or a victor depends on whether or not you choose to take full responsibility for your life--in other words, whether or not you choose to "own" your life. Make that choice now! Choose to be a victor by taking responsbility for your thoughts, your words, and your actions. As you do, you will discover more and more that you are gaining victory over your life instead of being a victim of it. Now, it's YOUR turn: Are you a victim or a victor? How can you tell? Please leave your response in the Comment Box below. Thank you! On this episode of Black & A Half, Manny and Silas sit down with the hilarious author, Jacqui Brown. Jacqui talked about her newest book Drop Your Parachute, Not Your Party Pants! (https://web.archive.org/web/20140406014529/http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B7N7034/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00B7N7034&linkCode=as2&tag=nwcone-20) . Jacqui was very motivating and inspiring as a Canadian turned Mexican commercial actress, turned successful self-published author. About the Guest Jacqui Brown is known around the world for stealing the show, even though, as she says, many performances usually take place in the safety of her own home, or in many instances, in her own mind (and oh what a crazy mind it is!) Her humor is often R rated but crosses over seamlessly from Blue Dog Comedy to Laugh USA. Many people have claimed to spit their coffee right onto their computer when reading her Facebook updates, her twitter feed or her blog Shit My Vagina Says. She takes this as extreme flattery, but adamantly states that, “The ruination of your computer is NOT MY FAULT.” Her SMVS blog was turned into the book last year and has been selling like hotcakes. “BITCH PLEASE! has been raved about from all corners of the world. She’s been called everything from crass and vulgar to simply funny as hell. She’s been loved and hated for her honest and brutal recitations regarding the change. Yet, she’s also been compared to Erma Bombeck, writing in 21st century time, for her crazy outlook on life while traversing her sweaty, estrogen depleted menopause. Brown is a former reporter for The Los Angeles Times/TCN and is a contributing writer to Vibrant Nation and More Magazine. Other books by Brown include, “Dancing With The Devil”, “Recovery’s A Bitch…as if menopause alone wasn’t bad enough!”, ”Imagine Words”, “the MAZE”, “Drop Your Parachute, Not Your Party Pants!”, and will be releasing her NaNoWriMo winning book, “Trying To Avoid Cars” (book 1) and “The Long Road To Heaven” (book 2), which will be transformed into a screenplay adaption in 2013!
