The Olympics is all about flying the flag for your home country, shoulder to shoulder with your team-mates. But what if you have no team-mates? At this year's Olympic games, four countries had just ONE competitor. Like Sean Gill from Belize, Somalian runner Ali Idow Hassan, or Romano Püntener, a mountain-biker representing Liechtenstein. This got us thinking about The Only One. The panel discuss what it must be like to be an ‘Endling' – the last remaining animal of an otherwise extinct species, and wonder if there might be ways to bring them back. We delve into the intriguing psychology behind the urge to collect things, why collectors are so entranced by rare items, and how the psychological pull of ‘exclusivity' and ‘limited editions' can make us vulnerable to marketing scams. And what about a baby, born of only one parent? A ‘virgin birth' – a miracle perhaps? Not so, as we discover that females giving birth without any help from males is surprisingly common! It's called ‘Parthenogenesis', and although humans can't do it, a dizzying array of animals can. On this episode of “Your One Black Friend” Podcast, Joli begins by recounting a conversation with her editor Allwin, who expressed existential concerns about aging, suffering, and the cycle of life and death. Joli challenges conventional views on death, suggesting it may be an illusion rooted in societal conditioning (rather than an absolute end.) She proposes that our fear of death stems from a limited understanding of consciousness and reality. Drawing on various philosophical and scientific concepts, Joli presents alternative perspectives on the continuity of consciousness beyond physical death. Joli delves into topics such as simulation theory, reincarnation, and the cyclical nature of existence. She then explores ideas about the relationship between masculine and feminine energies, the fall of Matriarchy and shift to Patriarchy (from moon to sun worship,) and offers a speculative narrative about the origins of gender and civilization spanning Mars, Venus, and Earth. Throughout the episode, Joli encourages listeners to question mainstream beliefs about aging, mortality, and the nature of reality. She emphasizes the power of individual belief systems in shaping one's experience of life and suggests that embracing alternative perspectives can lead to a more fulfilling and less fearful existence. Joli concludes by advocating for personal exploration of these existential questions, urging listeners to develop their own philosophies and beliefs to navigate life's challenges. She presents her ideas as possibilities to consider rather than absolute truths, inviting the audience to engage in deeper contemplation about existence. A Brazilian rainbow boa constrictor in England has recently given birth to 14 snake babies with no sexual partner. It is a case of asexual reproduction called parthenogenesis, or virgin birth. The boa was the third documented case in captivity, at least for this particular snake. A stingray in North Carolina likewise produced offspring with no sexual partner earlier this year. This was documented with a shark in 2001, too, and in certain insects, reptiles, and although not fully developed, even in humans - resulting in a tumor. Perhaps we could reassess the story of Mary and the virgin birth of Jesus.  -FREE ARCHIVE & RSS: https://www.spreaker.com/show/the-secret-teachingsTwitter: https://twitter.com/TST___RadioFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/thesecretteachingsWEBSITE (BOOKS, RESUBSCRIBE for early show access): http://thesecretteachings.infoPaypal: rdgable@yahoo.comCashApp: $rdgableBuy Me a Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/tstradioSUBSCRIBE TO NETWORK: http://aftermath.mediaEMAIL: rdgable@yahoo.com / TSTRadio@protonmail.com

This process essentially enables the stingray to clone itself, passing on its genes without the need for a mate. Researchers at the Aquarium and Shark Lab in North Carolina were astonished to discover that Charlotte, a stingray in their care, was pregnant with four pups despite being alone in her tank for the past eight years. Andrew Lewin explains in the podcast that parthenogenesis involves the egg fusing with the mother's cell, triggering cell division and leading to the development of an embryo. This results in offspring that are genetic clones of the mother, ensuring the continuation of her genetic lineage. This unique reproductive strategy allows animals like stingrays to adapt and survive in situations where mates are not available, as seen with Charlotte. The episode delves into the importance of genetic diversity in species survival. While sexual reproduction typically provides the optimal mix of genes for offspring, parthenogenesis offers a workaround for solitary individuals like Charlotte. By producing genetically identical offspring, the stingray ensures that at least a portion of its genes are passed on to the next generation, maintaining some level of genetic continuity. Andrew Lewin highlights how parthenogenesis is not exclusive to stingrays and has been observed in other sea creatures as well. This natural phenomenon showcases the resilience and adaptability of marine species, allowing them to reproduce and propagate their genes even in challenging circumstances. The episode emphasizes the significance of genetic diversity in species conservation and the role of unique reproductive strategies like parthenogenesis in ensuring the survival of populations. The podcast episode sheds light on the remarkable abilities of marine animals to navigate reproductive challenges and underscores the intricate mechanisms at play in the natural world. It serves as a reminder of the diverse and fascinating ways in which marine life continues to evolve and thrive in various environments. Genetic diversity plays a crucial role in the survival of species, allowing them to adapt to changing environments and ensuring resilience in the face of challenges. In the podcast episode, Andrew Lewin discusses how genetic diversity is essential for species survival, using the example of the round stingray Charlotte's unique situation. In the case of Charlotte, a round stingray at the Aquarium and Shark Lab in North Carolina, her ability to reproduce through parthenogenesis highlights the importance of genetic diversity. Parthenogenesis, a phenomenon where an egg fuses with the mother's cell, triggers cell division, leading to the creation of embryos that are essentially clones of the mother. While this form of reproduction ensures the passing on of genes, it limits genetic diversity as the offspring are exact replicas of the parent. Andrew explains that in the wild, genetic diversity is crucial for species to thrive and adapt to changing conditions. Animals, like stingrays and sharks, rely on genetic variation to ensure that the fittest individuals survive and pass on their genes to the next generation. This diversity allows for adaptation to environmental changes, such as shifts in prey availability or water quality, ensuring the species' resilience in the face of challenges. The host emphasizes the significance of genetic diversity in maintaining healthy populations and preventing inbreeding, which can lead to genetic disorders and reduced fitness. He mentions how conservation efforts in zoos and aquariums focus on preserving genetic diversity through breeding programs that match individuals with diverse genetic backgrounds to enhance the overall gene pool. By highlighting Charlotte's unique reproductive strategy and the importance of genetic diversity, the episode underscores the critical role diversity plays in species survival. It showcases how nature's ability to adapt and innovate, even in the absence of traditional mating opportunities, underscores the resilience and ingenuity of marine life in facing environmental challenges. Conservation efforts in aquariums and zoos are crucial for maintaining genetic diversity and preserving biodiversity. The episode discusses how these institutions play a vital role in ensuring the survival of species through breeding programs and species plans. In the podcast, Andrew Lewin highlights the importance of genetic diversity in species survival. He explains that genetic diversity is essential for species to adapt to changing environments and thrive in the wild. By maintaining a diverse gene pool, animals have a better chance of surviving environmental challenges and evolving to meet new threats. Andrew emphasizes the role of aquariums and zoos in preserving genetic diversity through carefully managed breeding programs. These institutions keep detailed records of individual animals' genetic makeup and use this information to match compatible mates for breeding. By selectively breeding animals with diverse genetic backgrounds, aquariums and zoos help prevent inbreeding and maintain healthy populations. The host also touches on the collaborative efforts among aquariums and zoos to ensure genetic diversity across different facilities. He explains how institutions share information and coordinate breeding programs to maximize genetic variation within captive populations. This collaboration allows for the exchange of animals between facilities, promoting genetic mixing and reducing the risk of genetic bottlenecks. Furthermore, Andrew discusses the concept of species plans, which outline strategies for managing captive populations to support species conservation. These plans include guidelines for breeding, reintroduction into the wild, and genetic management to ensure the long-term viability of endangered species. By following species plans, aquariums and zoos contribute to global conservation efforts and help safeguard vulnerable species from extinction. Overall, the episode underscores the critical role of aquariums and zoos in maintaining genetic diversity and preserving biodiversity. Through their dedicated conservation efforts, these institutions contribute to the protection of species and ecosystems, highlighting the importance of collaborative conservation initiatives in safeguarding the planet's natural heritage.

Parthenogenesis is the ability to reproduce without a mate. Boa constrictors, monitor lizards, and komodo dragons can do this naturally. Humans cannot. Vitro Gametogenesis can change that. This is a process of taking a woman's cells and turning them into either eggs and or sperm for singular reproduction. Besides the dinosaurs, this was a strong current in the Jurassic World finale. Keen observers would have also picked up on the fact that a genetic condition was cured in the movie by transferring genetic material via an altered pathogen into the human body via syringe to change DNA. Pathogens don't need to cause disease, but instead could be engineering to transfer new genetic material. The same was done with insects released into nature. The field of biosafety materials promises us in the real world a technology that can adapt to pathogenic mutations with potential for necessary redesigns within the system. On June 9, 2022, MIT researchers announced they discovered the direct function of every human gene, greatly opening the door for new forms of genetic engineering. We are one step closer to both 'Jurassic Park' and A Brave New World wherein babies are born in laboratories and there is no need for mating or parental oversight.

A while back I heard a feminist talking about the idea of Parthenogenesis or the concept that a female organism can give birth to its own offspring without the need for a male to fertilize its egg. This feminist said that Parthenogenesis could explain the immaculate conception of Jesus Christ. She even said that parthenogenesis only creates female offspring so either Jesus was a woman pretending to man or it was truly a miracle. It's quite clear that she wanted to paint Christianity as a female invention and at this time I'm not going to bring up her identity. On this channel and many other MGTOW channels I have often spoken about the idea of artificial wombs, gestational surrogacy and the idea that once we have these technologies traditional mothers will become an endangered species or perhaps natural childbirth will be something that only happens to savage human beings like the ones found in Aldous Huxley's book' Brave New World. But I haven't run into anyone talking about parthenogenesis in the MGTOW movement. And it makes me wonder, what would happen if women could fertilize their own eggs without men? And how would society change as a result of immaculate pregnancies? As far as I'm concerned there is no way that Jesus could have been woman. If Jesus was really a woman then she was the worst woman imaginable. Jesus flips over the money changers money at the temple. Many women would want a cut of the money to buy some new sandals or a new purse. And she probably wouldn't be trying to run the money lenders out of town. Regardless of what you think about this idea, it's quite plausible that feminists might startpromoting the idea that Jesus was a Chick. If Conchita Wurst grew out her beard she could pass for a female version of Jesus. Anyways, after about parthenogenesis got me thinking about it and researching it for myself. I started to realize that in many species, including fish, amphibians, reptiles and the odd bird here and there that it does happen. And that technically it is possible for human women to fertilize their own eggs.Evidence of parthenogenetic origin of ovarian teratoma: Case reporthttp://humrep.oxfordjournals.org/cont...Photo Licenses For Video: Sources with Proof of Commercial Licenses Attached (Editorial Use - Photos in Order of Appearance)Albin Olsson - Wikimedia Commonshttps://www.flickr.com/photos/1214833...https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...Matthew Roth - A model at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in between takeshttps://www.flickr.com/photos/matthew...https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...SFU Public Affairs and Media Relations - Biology undergrads at SFU Surrey can now do their first and second year lab work on campushttps://www.flickr.com/photos/sfupamr...https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...University of Michigan - SNRE graduate student Amanda Garzio‐Hadzick (left) and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology graduate student Iman Sylvainhttps://www.flickr.com/photos/snre/63...https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...Joshua Ommen - text, :) hope u can handle it!https://www.flickr.com/photos/joshuao...https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...wagdi.co.uk - It's the Orthodox Christmas today. Sometimes surprising discoveries happen when scientists aren't looking for them. While analyzing biological samples from California Condors as part of a conservation effort, a team at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance discovered an unusual phenomenon: two condors born in captivity that contained only maternal DNA. This startling observation confirmed a rare event known as facultative parthenogenesis - a form of asexual reproduction in females that typically reproduce sexually. From that team, Dr. Oliver Ryder joins the Lab Out Loud podcast to discuss his work in conservation biology, how his team made this discovery, and what implications it might have for the endangered California Condor and other species. About Our Guest Dr. Oliver Ryder, Ph.D., is the Kleberg Endowed Director of Conservation Genetics at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, where he oversees research activities in the areas of molecular genetics, genomic studies, and genetic rescue efforts, including stem cell applications – all focused on reducing extinction risk and contributing to species recovery and sustainable populations. In a scenario that is also playing out elsewhere, Colorado is finding out that the cost of allowing so much ignorance about vaccination among its citizens is its hospitals becoming completely overwhelmed by mostly those who refuse the vaccine. Not only does that harm the benighted patients in the ICU, it also keeps hospitals from being able to admit others who need their services, forcing non-COVID patients to be turned away even from emergency care. Then, we look at the much-exaggerated "rough night" the Democratic Party had on 11/2/2021 - the losses were easily predictable, despite what the corporate media wants you to think, and they are being used as leverage to push Dems even FURTHER from action that would inspire people to come out in support of them. Finally, we talk about a pair of exciting new discoveries in the world of science: successful parthenogenesis in birds (specifically condors) being observed for the first time, and the ability to use a brain implant prosthesis to allow a blind person to 'see". Controlling aphids It’s the time for aphids to explode in your garden. Whether you are growing roses, peaches, or at least another 400 different plant hosts, aphids will turn up at some stage in your life. Aphids are known as sap-sucking insects. But most importantly, aphids are great at transmitting virus diseases, from which a host plant rarely recovers. Aphids will continue to be a pain right through the summer and well into autumn, so get ready! Parthenogenesis is their game: females produce live young daughters who – in turn – will be able to produce their own off-spring within 10 days or so. This can explode quite quickly! Control has to be swift, to reduce female populations quickly. “Digital control” is the art of squashing the blighters between thumb and forefingers. It’s easy and organic – no pesticides! Biological control has many different versions: Buy yourself some parasitic wasps (Aphidius is the parasite to look for) and you can get them on-line. Alternatively, get some ladybird beetles that devour aphids, or some larval lacewings. Mind you the trick is to attract these goodies, by providing them with the right flowers with pollen and nectar, so they will breed and multiply and lay eggs among the aphid colonies. The right flowers are Phacelia (the blue tansy), buckwheat, parsley flowers and carrot flowers, as well as dill, fennel, borage, queen Anne’s lace, and such umbelliferous delights. Sprays are tricky, as they can kill the good buggers that will hunt your aphids. Organic sprays are pyrethrum (which will indiscriminately kill any insect, to be frank) and neem oil, which may not affect hard-bodied critters, such as parasitic wasps and predatory beetles. Spraying oil (Conqueror Oil etc) will often smother the aphids and sometimes also the beneficials, depending on the dose-age. Then there is Insecticidal soap, also known as “fatty acids”, containing potassium salts. This is the ancient version of abrasive soap; the stuff we used to see on TV commercials with “Madge, you’re soaking in it!!”. The more abrasive the soap, the more it rips the skin off an aphid; no wonder the insecticidal soap or fatty acids (knowns as “Yates Nature's Way Vegie & Herb Spray) works pretty well! This stuff is usually rather survivable for predators and parasitoids So far, I have only mentioned organic materials that would be great for food crops. The trick is to spray at the sides on which the aphids are active – often the under-side of leaves. The other thing to consider is that it pays to repeat the spray process at least three times on a weekly basis. That way you’ll get the next generation of sucking bugs that weren’t killed by the earlier sprays. It means you really reduce the populations on your plants…so keep at it!  LISTEN TO AUDIO ABOVE

THE DOOMED & STONED SHOW ~Season 5, Episode 42~ "Is this the day? Is this the beginning of the end? There is no time to wonder. No time to ask why is it happening, why is it finally happening. There is time only for fear, for the piercing pain of panic. Do we pray? Or do we merely run now and pray later? Will there be a later? Or is this the day?" This week's show is inspired by The Outer Limits, a classic science fiction television show that ran from 1963 to 1965. My favorite episode is called "The Architects of Fear." In response to Cold War fears of total nuclear annihilation, a secretive scientific order plots to unite the world against a common enemy -- a monster from outer space, to be precise. Only the monster would need to come from their own ranks, a volunteer who would undergo a risky surgery that would transform his entire being into one from the planet Theta. Names are put in a bowl and Dr. Allen Leighton (played by Robert Culp) ends up being selected to undergo the dangerous metamorphosis. Meanwhile, his spacecraft is being prepared for a dramatic landing at UN headquarters when the transformation is complete. The episode was directed by Byron Haskin, who a decade earlier had brought War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells to the big screen. PLAYLIST: IS THIS THE DAY? (00:00) 1. PLEASE NOTE: THIS EPISODE IS MY MOST HERETICAL TO DATE. RELIGIOUS DOGMA AND REALITY ARE CHALLENGED. PROCEED WITH CAUTION. I think Dan Brown, author of the 2003 mystery thriller “Da Vinci Code,” got it wrong. The Holy Grail was is not the body (of DNA) of Mary Magdalene. The Holy Grail is the bloodline of the women who were capable of Parthenogenesis, self-conception. We are taught that Jesus was the only individual who was conceived without the aid of the male sperm, but that dogma may not be accurate. My research revealed my all of the leaders of the major religions were products of Parthenogenesis and moreover, the bloodline of Jesus was littered with figures who owe their life to only their mothers. Noah, Isaac, and Melchizedek are all Biblical figures who were said to be born through Self-Conception by their mothers. In fact, Mary, the virgin mother of Jesus, was said to have been conceived in the same way that Jesus was conceived, via Parthenogenesis.Based on these revelations, I have several questions that need to be answered: 1.If these women were carriers of the perfect blood and capable of Parthenogenesis, why are they treated like goddesses and exalted in the Bible? 2.Are these women carriers of the perfect bloodline part of a lineage of Repto-Mammals?3.If you accept Parthenogenesis as the method through which Jesus was born, does that mean that Jesus is a clone of Mary (and Mary is a clone of Anne, her mother)?4. If Jesus is a Clone of Mary, why aren’t Mary (and Anna, who Cloned Mary), treated like Daughters of God in the Bible?5.Did Leonardo Da Vinci know this secret about the lineage of Jesus and capture that secret in his paintings of the Mona Lisa and Salvator Mundi? 6.Why is the Church suppressing this knowledge and women’s role in the Church? As I have stated in several episodes, the blood is the key to consciousness and this the fork in the road where we understand the link between the consciousness imbued upon us and nature of the corruption that has linked our communication with God. This is my most heretical episode to date, but these are questions that must be answered if we are to proceed towards the truth.Think I have lost my mind yet? When it comes to finding a potential mate for female Australian walking sticks, they can afford to “swipe left” all day. That’s because many species of walking sticks (or phasmids) are parthenogenic, meaning they can successfully produce offspring without needing to mate. This is a form of asexual reproduction where the growth and development of an embryo occurs without fertilization.

Welcome to this podcast. I am Ken Aldrich, Chairman and co-founder of International Stem Cell Corporation. International Stem Cell Corporation recently announced that our scientific team, led by our Chief Scientist, Dr. Elena Revazova, has created a new class of human stem cell lines that do not involve the use of fertilized eggs and may enable hundreds of millions of people of different sex, ages and racial groups to benefit from cell based therapy with cells that will not be rejected by the patients own immune system after transplanting. The article was published in the on line edition of the well known peer-review publication, Cloning and Stem Cells on December 19, 2007 Since that time, we at International Stem Cell Corporation have received many questions about this discovery, most of which revolve around two basic questions: how are these cells different from what already exists and why does it matter? Since we are a public company that trades on the Bulletin Board--our symbol for those who are curious is ISCO.OB--a great deal of information about these questions has already been filed with the SEC and also been posted to our website, but I think a summary will be helpful, particular for those unfamiliar with the science of therapeutic cell implantation. The 20th Century saw the development of whole organ transplants as a means to treat injury or diseases affecting the heart, liver, kidneys and other organs. The 21st Century has already seen the beginnings of a newer and even more promising therapy: the transplantation of human cells to enable damaged organs to begin functioning again on their own. Some of the new cell based treatments are quite advanced; others are in development, but all transplant programs to date share three basic problems: First, the only source of organs or cells has been human donation, usually from cadavers, or cells derived from fertilized embryos. The need for cadavers has meant that only a tiny portion of the patients who needed cell or organ therapy could obtain a donation. Second, until now, the only source of cells that had the potential produce cells in unlimited quantity for any organ of the body have been cells derived from fertilized embryos. That has raised religious and ethical questions that have hampered research and continue to do so. Finally, all of treatments available so far require heavy use of immune suppressing drugs to prevent rejection of the new cells by the patient’s immune system. That is why Dr. Revazova’s two recent discoveries are so important. They open the door to obtaining an unlimited supply of cells, without the use of cadavers or fertilized embryos, and that can be immune matched to hundreds of millions of patients so that that they will not be immune rejected after transplantation. Our cell lines are known by the tongue twisting name of “Parthenogenetic HLA-homozygous” lines, and you can expect to be hearing a lot more in the months to come about Parthenogenesis, HLA matching and “homozygous” cell lines. However, the easiest way to think of what we are doing is to think of a blood bank in which a physician can find blood to match the need of any patient. HLA matching is more complex, but the concept is the same—provide cells that will not be rejected after transplanting. To put that in perspective, if you are a 5 year old child whose immune system is still developing and you are diagnosed with a dreaded disease, there may cell transplant treatments already being tested or in use that might provide a cure, but they will be of no use to you because of the difficulty of finding a tissue match and the danger to a young child of taking large doses of immune suppressing drugs. The drugs could be far more dangerous to a child than the disease itself. We have just taken the first giant step toward solving that problem. Our cells also have great potential in the treatment of genetic disorders such as Alzheimer’s, diabetes, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, and many others because we can provide cells from cell lines that do not carry the same genetic defects, but that is a complex subject that is better left to a later discussion. There is still much work to be done to make cell based therapy available to all who could use it and no one company can do it all. That is why, although our scientists are the only people in the world who have perfected a technique for creating parthenogenetic HLA-homozygous cells, we have filed patents that describe how such cells can be created so that we can share with others the secrets of how to do it. Our goal is to work with researchers throughout the world to assure that, in time, no person who could be helped by a cell transplant need ever go without that help because there were not enough cells available that were compatible with his or her immune system.

This mix (part 2 of 2) dedicated to the ocean's poor sharks, who, as recently verified via DNA, must resort to parthenogenisis to survive, as the females cannot find adequate mates due to dwindling populations, caused by overfishing and pollution. Parthenogenisis = virgin births, having children without sperm, much like the virgin mary. Seems that some lizards can do this as well.
