Unser Opernexperte Richard Schmitz berichtet. Tatsächlich entpuppt sich dieses Oratorium von PietroMetastasio durchaus als bühnentauglich. Anfangs lässt uns die RegisseurinEva-Maria Hockmayr im Glauben, es handle sich um ein Konzert. Die fünf Solistensitzen und warten auf ihren Einsatz. Doch bald beginnen sie ihre Rollen auch zuspielen. Der Raum weitet sich zu einer spärlich möblierten Gründerzeit-Wohnung,in der Abraham und Isaak, Sara, Abrahams Frau, und Gamari - anfangs Freund Isaaks,später sein älterer Bruder, das bekannte biblische Geschehen reflektieren. Sehrsensibel – mit Kreuzen und einem Christbaum - wird auch zum Ausdruck gebracht,dass auch Gott seinen eigenen Sohn am Kreuze geopfert hat.Christian Senn schildert mit seiner angenehmen Stimme dieQualen des Vaters, der von Gott angeleitet wird, den eigenen Sohn zu opfern. SophieGordeladze differenziert ihre Gefühle als Mutter Sara mit viel Ausdruck. Dawird das Drama spürbar. Der Sopranist Dennis Orellana macht aus dem gehorsamenSohn, der bereit ist zu sterben, eine Person, mit der man mitleidet. Alle dreibringen aber auch die emotionalen Zwischentöne, die in Metastasios Text stehen,zum Ausdruck. Auch Anle Gou als Gamari kann da mithalten. Andjela Spaic singtden Engel mit klarer Stimme. Die Dirigentin Chiara Cattani unterstützt mit demBach-Consort Wien die Sänger bei ihrem Bemühen und bringt die Partitur zumBlühen.Metastasio hat nicht nur diesen großartigen Textgeschrieben, sondern auch an der Entwicklung der Komponistin entscheidendenEinfluss geübt. Seine Förderung reichte über seinen Tod hinaus, weil er sieauch finanziell sicherstellte, sodass sie bis an ihr Lebensende freikomponieren konnte. Die Uraufführung des Oratoriums im Hofburgtheater (!) warein großer Erfolg. Und das wundert mich nach dem gestrigen Abend nicht.Musikalisch geht das Werk über viele der wiederentdeckten Barockopern hinaus.Die zahlreichen Koloraturen dienen dem Text und nicht der Präsentation vonVirtuosität. Schön, dass diese Musik entdeckt wurde. Unser Freund Otto Biba warda auch nicht ganz unbeteiligt.   Dieser Abend zeigt, dass es schon zu Mozarts Zeitenaußergewöhnliche Komponistinnen gegeben hat und dass eine Regisseurin, eineDirigentin und die Primadonna ein Werk zum Erfolg machen können.
