The Starbucks holiday cups are here, and last week if FINALLY started to feel like Fall here in Southern California. Usually, the traditional Fall market for housing, where you start to see both supply and demand steadily drop, starts at the end of September. This year however, because of the delayed start to the Summer market as well as historically low interest rates, the housing market has been firing on all cylinders all the way through October and is now just starting to see some indications of slowing down. The Winter market for real estate in So Cal usually starts around Thanksgiving as buyers and sellers shift their focus away from housing. So this year, the Fall market will most likely only last a few weeks before we start seeing a more dramatic dip in both supply and demand that will start in about 2-3 weeks. Buyers: with the new reports on the vaccine’s effectiveness as well as the presidential race mostly behind us, some of the uncertainly has been taken out of the market which leads to more confidence, which ultimately will lead to higher interest rates. However, the country is still hurting economically and cases are spiking again so this should help continue to keep rates down through the remainder of the year. Demand is dropping slightly faster than supply which means the market is trending to be slightly better for you, however in many prices ranges, the impact is hard to see because it just not a dramatic swing. Inventory will traditionally diminish during this time of year so don’t expect a huge batch of home to look at but as we get further into the Winter market, your competition will start to give up and throw in the towel for the holiday season which might mean you only have to deal with a few other offers instead of 5-10 on every home. If you are thinking of giving up the home search, DON’T. We are still seeing appreciation happening month after month so if you wait until next year to look again you’ll be paying more for a home than if you are able to lock in something right now. I know it can be discouraging placing offer after offer, but your future self will thank you if you are able to get into a home in the next two months and lock in the lowest interest rates we have ever seen for a mortgage. Sellers: As demand finally start its traditionally decline, sellers are still in a very good spot finishing as we finish out the year. Although there might be less buyers as the weeks go on, demand is still over 25% higher than last year and inventory is at historic lows. Yes, there is still a good chance for you to sell your home quickly and for top dollar throughout the holidays this year, however, as I say in almost every market update, if you don’t price your home correctly the first time it hits the market, the chances of you selling quickly and for top dollar go down dramatically. Buyers have been in the market looking for homes longer than usual and in many cases placing offers on many different homes which means many of them have a very good idea of what homes should be going for. If you over price your home, it will sit longer, and every week that goes by from now until the end of the year, demand will traditionally continue to shrink bringing you less opportunities. Having the right marketing materials to give buyers the maximum amount of information about your home without them having to physically tour your home is still going to be extremely important in determining how successful you are in this market as Covid cases are continuing to spike with no real end in site over the coming weeks. Between now and early December, you will be picking the health plan that will cover you and yours — during what may be one of the greatest pandemics in history — in 2021. This is not one where you throw a dart at a board and pick whatever gets hit. This requires some homework. To help us with that we are joined by Walton Francis, longtime editor of the Washington Consumers Checkbook Guide to Health Plans.

Hey Fried Fans,   This week’s #straightfromcait episode is the answer to a fan question (I love those, so if you have one that YOU want answered, shoot me an email at cait@caitdonovan.com with the subject: FAN QUESTION and I’ll get to it, it usually takes me about a month to get the episode out and it’s so much fun for me to give you exactly what you need.Here’s the Q:So, the holidays are coming up and if you’re the boss of a department it’s kinda expected that everyone else can take vacation time around the holidays but not you, because someone has to be on deck. So this means, year after year, you work the week of Thanksgiving and the week of Xmas. How do you juggle the expectation that if you’re the boss, your needs come second to your subordinate without getting burnt?OK, my friend. Let’s break this down a little. First, we need to look at the assumptions in this Q. You state: it’s ‘kinda expected’ that everyone else can take vacation time around the holidays but not you.Is this 100% true or is this a story that you told yourself because you took the responsibility on because YOU learned at some point in your life that this is how you think it ‘should’ be (if you missed the episode on shoulding, head back a few weeks and listen in, it’s a good one).You start juggling this expectation by checking yourself. Use these Q’s: Where did this expectation come from? Why do you believe it? What actions have you taken as the boss in previous years that may lead you to believe this is true? What actions have you taken as the boss in previous years that may lead your team to believe that this is true?The basic facts of the matter are this: your needs DON’T come second to your team’s needs. But now, you’re going to have to change the rules of the game on them and you’ll have to expect some blowback. Here’s how it goes:First, you need to decide on a new system. Are you going to rotate the holidays within your team, so one person takes thanksgiving and the other xmas? Is one person going to get the whole year of holidays and then the next 2 or 3 years off (depending on the size of your team) or is there a better solution that you see? I can’t tell you what all the options are without knowing more specifics about the business and the team, but suffice it to say, there’s a better system than leaving all the responsibility eggs in the leaders basket.Second, you need to decide how to present the new system - WITHOUT EMOTION and WITHOUT MENTIONING that you’ve done it in the past for years and years and now you need a break. YOU’RE THE BOSS - you make the rules. Turning yourself into a victim for working the past years will make whoever gets this year’s holidays feel like THEY are the victim.So, it might sound something like this:Hi Everyone, The holidays are coming up and the system for who works the holidays is changing this year. We are going to start rotating who works the week of Thanksgiving and Xmas so that everyone has the opportunity to take real time off during the holidays. This Thanksgiving will be (team member a) and Xmas will be (team member b). If you need to switch with each other, that’s no problem - just be sure that the communication is clear and the person who will be responsible for those days is available. If you’re going to make any changes amongst each other, please let me know by the end of next week. Thank you! :)Third, you actually have to have this conversation. Open your zoom room and get chatting. Remember to be as neutral as possible, this is NOT an emotional conversation and it will work better if it’s presented that way. Prepare yourself for discord and blowback. Changing the rules in the middle of the game will be met with some grunting and disapproval. That’s okay. Brene Brown and Oprah remind us that we cannot live brave lives without disappointing some people.They will survive. The Devil will appear alive, in person at the End of Days. The End of Days on earth is also called the Great Tribulation in the Book of Revelation. It will last exactly 1,335 days. During this time Lucifer the Devil will be active on earth causing death and destruction by working his evil influence through the SEA Beast from Revelation 13:1. Initially the Devil will be restricted to ‘pulling the strings’ of his evil surrogate... the SEA Beast. The Sea Beast is a 7 Headed Religious Organization formed from the major religions on earth. In Rev 13:1 this Beast is said to have 7 Heads with each head having a Blasphemous name written on its head. All of these religions are an insult to the God of heaven. The issue that this 7 headed religious group will address is to find a way to appease God so that no further destruction will occur to the earth. At this point the first four trumpets of Revelation will have released God's wrath on earth killing billions of people. I know this sounds unbelievable but the Bible teaches this truth. Don't forget that God is wrapping up the sin issues on earth and this is how he's going to separate everyone into either worshiping him as a sheep or worshiping the devil as a goat. The SEA Beast will be empowered for 42 months or using a day for a day formula for determining the time this amounts to 1,260 days. During the first 2/3 of the 1,260 days the Devil will not actually be seen, or be visible on earth. This will change at the 5th trumpet when God allows the Devil to impersonate Jesus. The Devil and his 200 million strong band of evil Angels will descend on earth from the sky and impersonate Jesus. The Devil will be very majestic, beautiful, and will fool many people into thinking that he really is Jesus. The Devil will use all his evil power to trick as many people as he can into following him. Only by being grounded in the Bible and end time prophecies will a person be able to discern the Truth and resist his tricks. Many people will not be interested in the Truth but will follow the impostor Lucifer also called Satan for the earthly benefits the Devil can immediately supply. When Lucifer appears on earth at approximately the 880th day… he will be kind like Jesus but after tricking everyone (except the Bible grounded saints) for 5 months with his Lamb Like impersonation of Jesus he will change character into a Dragon like evil tyrant. Lucifer the Devil will dissolve all the religions of the world and set up a Theocracy with him at it’s head. In Revelation this is called the IMAGE to the Beast. It’s a one world government with Lucifer as it’s Religious Head and as it’s Civil Government’s Head. He will rule the world during the 6th Trumpet. As world ruler Lucifer will eliminate all opposition to his rule and will issue a decree that if you DON’T have his mark… the dreaded 666 tattoo you cannot buy or sell. You can’t purchase the necessities of life. In addition to this decree he orders the KILLING of 1/3 of the population on earth – ALL his enemies and those who won’t bow their knee to his Theocracy. Over the weekend I saw at least two memes on social media talking about spanking. The one that REALLY got me read, “my parents spanked me as a child. As a result, I now suffer from a psychological condition known as ‘respect for others.’” This belief has two really big problems with it. One, it assumes that that spanking kids is a good thing. It also suggests that children who are spanked develop increased respect for others. I think these memes should be required to cite their sources—and no, I don’t mean “as believed by this faithful believer in Facebook memes!” What was just as interesting is that, when I searched for this meme on the web, I found the same one with thumbs up and thumbs down voting buttons. And this was as disturbing to me as the meme itself. For this meme there were 2379 thumbs up and 998 thumbs down. Of the 3,377 people who chose to vote on the sentiment, over 70%, said to themselves, “yep . . . for sure . . . kids need to be hit in order to whip ‘em into shape.” You’ve likely seen dozens of memes, social media posts, and direct statements from devout believers in spanking that the problem with kids today is that they just aren’t hit enough; they need to be hit to keep them in line! I know there are a lot of people out there who like to dismiss research—rather, it seems that there are people out there who like to pick and choose the research they believe in based upon their preferred habits, belief systems, and morals. So, in some ways I know that despite the huge, vast, amount of incredibly credible research that denounces any benefits of spanking kids there are going to be those that stand their ground, saying, “I don’t know . . . I was hit as a kid and I turned out great.” ---maybe one of the benefits of spanking is that the kids will turn out being unable to distinguish between and subjective reality. So I thought I would talk a bit about the research that strongly points to spanking as entirely detrimental to kids—with no benefit whatsoever—at least no benefit that can’t be gained from other parenting approaches that DON’T have all of the negative consequences. Ok, so this is an important point . . . the reality is that any credible research out there supports the hypothesis that even if spanking can get parents the outcome they are looking for, it carries with it many enduring negative consequences to kids; and that it is very possible to get the same benefits—which really is compliance—we want our kids to comply with authority. But it is very possible that we parents can get our children to comply with authority using parenting approaches that actually add ADDITIONAL benefits with regard to our children’s emotional, psychological, and behavioral health. What is Spanking? Spanking is open handed hitting that doesn’t physically harm the child and is done with the purpose of modifying the child’s behavior—and this has been done for many generations. But in the past 10 years or so, as the evidence has accumulated, you will find no major professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, supporting the practice of hitting our kids in order to change their behavior. In fact, I implore you to send me one convincing article from a peer reviewed academic journal—kind of the gold standard in reporting research results—or one statement from a respected professional organization that supports the practice of spanking or hitting our kids. Guys, it doesn’t work! In fact, in one article from a journal called Child Development Perspectives in 2013, they found that spanking is actually associated with LESS compliance from our children and can actually cause our kids to act out more than they were before—they can actually become MORE aggressive than they were before. Now, I would imagine that the person who posted the meme supporting a link between being hit and being respectful is saying right now,

Today we’re going to chat about when trying to save money on the wedding can totally BACKFIRE. Yikes ... right? Aside of college educations, new homes and new cars, your wedding likely has one of the biggest price tags you’ve ever paid. You’re spending tens of thousands of dollars - of course you’re trying to save money! You’re not out there researching the most expensive venue in your area, or ways to spend more money on your invitations. When a potential photographer or caterer gives you a quote for services, you probably don’t say “well that sounds OK, but do you have anything that costs more?” If you've been listening for a while, I hope you know me well enough now to know that I’m NOT the wedding professional who’s going to tell you NEVER to try to cut this corner, or don’t DARE hire a friend to do x, y, z. I see this type of messaging a lot. If you do your own wedding day hair and makeup it will totally fail, and you should hire a professional to do it for you. If you skimp on a photographer, you will regret it for the rest of your life. If you have your cousin make your cake, it will probably be a complete disaster, you should really hire a professional for that. If you take your dress to a neighborhood tailor instead of the big box bridal store where you bought it, it’s going to end up in shreds and you’ll have no dress to wear. The trouble is, professional service providers in pretty much any industry have an agenda - to sell their product or service. And whether you hear from a wedding professional on a podcast, read their articles on a blog, or see their posts on Instagram, their position is probably that hiring a professional is THE BEST way to go. "After all", they say, "this is your wedding - you can’t afford to cut corners on the best day of your life." Well, for lots of this, I call BS. Sure, if you have a wedding budget in the 6-figures, then “hire a professional” is a great option for everything I just listed. But most of us DON’T have $100,000 to spend on our wedding, so making swaps and saves here and there is a necessary part of planning so that we don’t go thousands of dollars into debt - NEVER a good idea. Here’s a doozy for you - we hired our wedding photographer off craigslist for $500. True story. And I’m NOT here to tell you that it was a horrible idea that backfired and you should never trust any wedding photographer who hasn’t shot 500 weddings and costs less than $5000. That’s not me, not my style. BUT, I’m also not here to tell you that YOU should definitely hire a photographer off craigslist, and it will work out perfectly and there’s no risk involved and you can live happy ever after and sleep soundly knowing that you saved a couple thousand dollars! To be clear - there’s no right or wrong, one-size-fits all solution to the myriad of wedding decisions you have to make over the next few months. I’ll always encourage you to use your intuition, and use our weekly time together to review all the options you have available, and select what feels best for you and your unique situation. I feel so strongly about what we’re talking about today, and I really want to set things up right. The truth is, sometimes no matter how much research you do, or how many great reviews someone has, or how confident you feel that you’re making the right decision, things can just go wrong. You’ll probably have a wedding backfire, or two, or three over the course of getting everything lined up. This is part of life, and definitely a part of wedding planning. I wish I could wave a magical wand that would shield you against anything bad happening, but of course - that’s not realistic. Sooooo, the next best thing to that … In today's show, let’s explore some common areas of wedding planning where couples to try to cut a corner, save some money, leave something out, and then sadly have it backfire in terms of lost money, lost time, lost sanity - and sometimes all three. If you find yourselves at a cost-saving opportunity crossroads and you don’t know which way to turn, I have some smart questions to ask yourselves, and potential vendors, that I hope will guide you towards making the best decisions for you and your wedding day. So when you find yourself wondering, hmmmmm ... should we cut that corner? What are the potential outcomes or pitfalls that might come of it? Hopefully after today’s show, you’ll have some solid answers to some of the most common situations, so that you can make the best decision for you. On this week’s episode of the Market Like a Boss podcast, I’m talking about why you’re afraid to niche down and pick an audience. Spoiler: it’s not because you have so many choices and you don’t know which one to choose. It goes much deeper than that.    Let’s dive in!   Don’t make the same mistake I did   When I first started my business over four years ago, I niched down to small business owners. Yes, that was as deep as I got. And I wondered why I didn’t land clients consistently! My clients also got a variety of different results, which didn't make me feel confident as an expert.   Specific sells. To get more clients you need to be MORE specific about who you target. This goes counterintuitive to what most people think, which is that you need to have a big pool of potential clients to make the money you want.   Why are you afraid to niche down?   A lot of women say that they don’t know which audience to choose. They act like it’s all the different choices holding them back from making a decision. I call BS. The REAL reason you’re scared to niche down is because you don’t want to alienate anyone. It’s because you’re so afraid that if you make your pool of potential clients smaller, there won’t be anyone left to serve.   There’s also another fear that crops up here: if you choose your target audience and you start landing clients, then you actually have to serve them. And you’re not so confident in your ability to do that.   These fears all tie back to lack of trust. Lack of trust that there are more than enough clients out there. Lack of trust in yourself to deliver for your clients.    Why niching down is so powerful for your marketing   Here’s what you need to understand: when you niche down, you’re not alienating anyone. In fact, you’re able to help your clients even MORE because you’re actually targeting people who need your help and are best set up to get results working with you. That’s when you become known as a trusted expert and have more of the right clients coming to you through referrals. You also retain more of your clients because they’re happier - which means more money for less marketing.   It’s also important to note that when you niche down and target the people you’re best meant to serve, you won’t have to undercharge just to land a client. That client will already want to work with you because you have the solution to their problem.   By trying to include everyone you’re actually creating the reality you DON’T want...a lack of consistent clients. The only way to shift things is by narrowing who you serve. And here’s the thing: when you narrow who you serve, everybody notices. Which means there will be people who don’t fit your target audience description coming to you and asking if they’re a good fit. TREK IT OUT by Jake Morgan The Captain and the Master Talk Tomato This week, SIR Patrick Stewart and Star Wars’ Luke Skywalker - Mark Hamill - sat down with Charles Thorp of Men’s Health to discuss their new advertisement campaign for the food delivery service - “Uber Eats”. In the three ad series, Captain Picard portrayer Sir Patrick faces off against Luke Skywalker Stager Mark Hamill in Connect Four, Air Hockey, and some - well - let’s call them deep-rooted family issues. Besides talking about the similarities and differences between the two franchises, the pair recalled their time on-set. Sir Patrick discussed his first day of shooting, saying ”I was doing my first scene where I appeared on camera as Jean-Luc Picard. I was walking down one of the Enterprise corridors, and one of the sliding automated doors opened on my left and there was Commander Riker played by Jonathan Frakes. The script had him saying something to me, and I was just supposed to nod and then walk away. The director called, “Cut!” Then Jonathan yelled out, “That’s what they call British face-acting!” The whole crew laughed, and I remember gratefully thinking that I was going to be spending all of this time with funny people. Stewart had some interesting comments regarding his unknowing inspiration for Captain Picard, telling Men’s Journal in part ”I trained and worked out for years before I ever got in front of the camera playing Picard. For every gentleman from the outside looking in, he was a superstar. Jonathan Frakes Talks Disco Season 3 Sir Patrick’s “The Next Generation” co-star - and prolific television director - Jonathan Frakes Rikered a chair to talk with friends of the network, Trekmovie.com. Hot off his Galaxycon Event, Frakes chatted with Anthony Pascale about the characters, events, and shooting of Star Trek: Discovery, season three - and in true Frakes fashion, probably told us more than he should have. When asked to confirm his directing of three episodes this season, Frakes gave away some plot beats, saying ”Yes, I did. I actually just rewatched 303 a couple of days ago. Season three is really wonderful on Discovery, by the way. So the first episode is Michael Burnham alone in Iceland [for location shoot], which is a foreign land. And she meets “Book” [David Ajala]. The second episode is the entire crew on Discovery. And the third episode, which is the one I was fortunate enough to get, is their reunion. And it is very heavy on the emo.” Later in the interview, Frakes discussed Trek’s newest stars. He showered praise on Book actor David Ajala before moving on to the newly announced Blu del Barrio (Adira)). ”Blu is so well cast that as the character reveals themself, I think they’ll be a new favorite. Much like Tilly—do you remember how offbeat and non-Star Trek Tilly felt in the beginning? Blu brings a different dynamic and a different color totally, but a brand new color to the palette of the group. Much in the way Tig [Notaro] did.” Star Trek: Discovery’s Pilot Doesn’t Soar on CBS In episode 476 of Priority One - released on September 4th - we told you about Star Trek: Discovery’s re-airing of its pilot - “The Vulcan Hello”. Want to know how that went? Are you sure? “The Vulcan Hello”, which originally aired on September 24, 2017, was repeated for terrestrial television audiences exactly three years later - September 24, 2020. Back in 2017, the series premiere - which aired at 8:30pm EST - pulled in a solid 9.5 million same-day-viewers, according to USA Today. Three years later, Variety reported  that viewership had dropped to a disappointing 1.7 million viewers, losing out to ABC’s season 5 premiere of “The Match Game” (2.9 million viewers). So what does that mean? Well, right now, it only means that “The Vulcan Hello” had 1.7 million viewers.  The three year old episode was, as mentioned previously, a repeat - even to Network television viewers. There’s no need to panic. Right? H. Jon Benjamin Talks Tribbles One of Star Trek’s most divisive episodes seems to be the Season 2 episode of “Short Treks” titled “The Trouble With Edward”. From the IMDB summary “Newly minted Captain Lynne Lucero is excited to take command of the U.S.S. Cabot. That is, until she meets Edward Larkin, an ornery scientist who believes he has found a revolutionary new use for tribbles.” You remember Larkin, right? The guy who wanted to breed Tribbles for food. That Edward Larkin. This week, Edward Larkin himself - H. Jon Benjamin - did absolutely nothing to ingratiate himself with the episode detractors. Benjamin sat down with telegram.com to talk about Bob’s Burgers, Archer, and “The Trouble With Edward”. Benjamin admitted to report Craig S. Semon ”I never thought I would make it in the ‘Star Trek’ universe but I did.  I was a ‘Star Trek’ fan when I was a kid. It was really cool. I was thrilled to be asked.” On playing the - unique - character, Benjamin said ”It wasn’t particularly hard to play that guy, because he was oblivious. I’m not sure he knew how despicable he was. So that was the fun of it. From what I gathered, there are some ‘Star Trek’ fans that took issue with that the way tribbles were discovered. People get very deep into everything working perfectly or logically based on the ‘Star Trek’ universe. Maybe that was a problem, but that’s not my problem.” Finally, Benjamin addressed the fact that he may have been the first person to eat a Tribble, saying ”That’s true. But you never know. You never know if Scotty drunk ate one.” Star Trek Gaming News by Shane Hoover and Thomas Reynolds Cryptic Studios Announces Collaboration with Gameheads This week, it was announced that Cryptic Studios - the game development studio that designs Neverwinter, Champions Online, the upcoming Magic: Legends, and -- of course -- Star Trek Online --- has teamed up with a local organization called Gameheads. What’s important about this particular nonprofit organization, is that it welcomes low-income youth and youth of color between the ages of 15 to 24 in the Bay Area into a program that trains them in video game design, development, and DevOps.  Together, these young adults will work with experienced game developers at Cryptic to  “provide discipline-specific discussions, panels, and presentations and mentor students in their desired fields, such as Environment Art, Level Design, or Narrative Design.” Additionally, Cryptic has made a financial donation to Gameheads as well as the NAACP Personally, I believe this is an excellent partnership. You see, there is substantial evidence that points to a systemically racial barrier that makes it incredibly difficult for low-income youth of color to move up and out of poverty. Additionally, there’s evidence establishing inherent racism in technology… and no, I’m not saying your toaster burns your toast cuz you’re Carribean. But, what I am saying is that current algorithms -- those that drive facial recognition technology for example -- have time and again misidentified individuals of color. You see, to the ghost in the machine, anyone who’s not white pretty much looks the same…. But, the thing is… that ghost is programmed by an industry led -- predominantly - by white people. So, helping students break into the tech industry is one positive way of ensuring that the tech industry remains inclusive and equitable… for the consumer and for developers.. A New Event! A New Event Prize Concept! By Shane Hoover In a blog posted Tuesday September 29th, Ambassador Kael announced an upcoming event to accompany the next Year of Klingon content release. This “Widening Gyre” event runs from October 6th through November 5th on PC. No details are provided yet about the Event itself, but the Grand Prize is breaking new ground for STO events. By completing 20 daily progress cycles in the Widening Gyre, Captains can obtain an entire 4 piece space equipment set, the Imperial Rift Space Set. So far details are scant on the set pieces, but the descriptions provided in the blog point toward a Science-based set that is trying to synergize control abilities with energy weapons. It’s too soon to give you a verdict on how we think it’ll perform, but stay tuned, Captains. Once the stats are released, you can bet we’ll be sharing our evaluations on the next show! It is said that reputation is everything. Ah, the daily grind. It’s just part of the MMO experience, right? You run the same missions over and over to gain a reward that takes days, months or years to complete. However, if you’re tired of grinding marks for another reputation system in STO, then you will be pleased with the latest news. You can now skip the grind. Well, you can skip some of the grind. Well, you can now skip some of the grind in one section of one part of the systems available to grind in STO.  Now available for purchase -  a Tier V Reputation buyout from the Zen store.  Starting at 3,000 Zen, you can pass go and proceed immediately to Tier V for a single reputation on a single character. Although, the price is reduced proportionately, depending on how much progress in that reputation you’ve already made. For example, if you’ve made it to Tier 3 and just are not able or willing to continue earning those marks and running the daily project, then the price of 3,000 zen is reduced proportionately. Keep in mind, if you thought you were getting around the grind - ha - nope. You will still have to spend at least 60 days getting to Tier 6. But, this is manageable with the Tier V mark reward amount, since you get at least 600 marks when you achieve Tier V - but you still have to run those daily projects What does this mean for you, the player - what type of player are you? New: Players new to the game should avoid this purchase as the process of leveling the reputation is something you will need to do anyway, unless you plan on buying it for all reputations, and even then, because this only goes up to tier 5 which isn’t even half the progress to tier 6.  Casual: Casual players may feel like this is a decent deal, skipping what seems like a significant in-game time sink. But if you consider yourself a casual player, 3000 Zen is probably not a small investment for you, and that can get you things you’ll use to play the game. Like an account-wide T6 ship, for instance. And if you’re paying to avoid playing the game, then...is this really the hobby for you? Experienced: Experienced players will have a better understanding of exactly what they are getting out of the purchase and be better placed to evaluate if it’s worth the price to skip ahead a little. But in general? No. No player should purchase this.  Elite: Honestly, this seems like it’d be heresy to an elite player. Who already has all their reps finished anyway. Rainbow Tribbles, Because We’re Better Together By Thomas Reynolds Well, captains, the 2020 Summer Event has come and gone like a beautiful Risian sunset. You know, back when Risa had sunsets. And while we’ve all enjoyed our fast ships and fabulous costumes, there’s one event item that’s snuck in under the tachyon grid and into our hearts. The Rainbow Tribble grants you a 2.5% critical chance in ground combat when you pet it. That in itself is pretty good--but it stacks with each active Rainbow Tribble on your team. Hand one out to everyone on your away team, and you’ll be looking at a 12.5% crit chance buff to every team member. Rainbow Tribbles go for 50 Lohlunat Favors from the event store, or 1 million EC on the exchange at the time of writing--a pittance for this kind of power. Like Myers-Briggs, the Enneagram, and many other profiling systems, Human Design is a personality model used to dive deeper in the understanding of the self.   Human Design combines layers of ancient modalities like the Sephirot of the Kabbalah, the Hindu-Brahmin Chakra system, the Chinese I’Ching, and Western Astrology with modern sciences like Biochemistry, Astronomy, Quantum Mechanics, and Genetics.   This system helps us understand our unique personal blueprint for our energy, how we make decisions, our strengths and weaknesses, where we are prone to conditioning, and so much more. It illuminates where we’re in alignment with our authentic selves–and where we’re not–so we can work towards more ease and less stress (and ditch the things that DON’T work for us!).   My guest today, Nikki Brafman, is a Human Design Reader, Business Coach, Mama to 1-year-old Julian, and Speaker. Sometimes, you just need to BELIEVE. Believing is creating. And, if you want to re-wire your reality to be better, more what you for, what you dream of.. it all starts there!In truth, that whole idea.. is a but easier said than done. Yet, like anything.. with a little training of oneself, you can get there.. Sometimes, like learning any new skill we need a little more support to get there.. a buddy a co-creator, someone to remind us of who you are.. Someone to shed the light. Sometimes, maybe I can kickstart that for you. Maybe sometimes you’ll get there on your own. Yet, getting there.. is the point..Without believing in something it simply doesn’t exist!You cannot manifest what you don’t know and believe exists. And, you don’t see what is there, what exists.. when you are stuck in a downward spiral or pattern that does not energize you, your relationship and your family. It’s too easy to keep repeating the same thing over and over again.. creating a groove that is hard to get OUT of. Pornography is all over the place. It plagues so many lives and is incredibly addictive. Justin says that pornography is evil and works in secrecy. It thrives in shame. Satan takes advantage of the powerful gifts that God has given us (the power of procreation) and tricks us into believing false things about those gifts. One of those trickeries is pornography. David says that we all know pornography isn’t of God. He said that we need to move past our focus on the fact that it’s bad but to focus on repentance and change. If you are addicted to pornography, DON’T give up on yourself. Do not feel like you are weak. Everyone on this earth is imperfect and it’s our great opportunity to repent and change.
