Most people try to think their way to healing. But true transformation starts in stillness. In this deeply moving and energetically charged conversation, George sits down with “The Facilitator of Miracles”, Jerry Sargeant, to explore what it really takes to shift your frequency, break generational pain cycles, and connect to your highest self. Jerry shares his path from darkness and destruction to spiritual awakening, and teaches how to hold space for healing that goes beyond the logical mind. This episode is not just about personal development — it's about frequency, forgiveness, presence, and true energetic alignment. If you've ever felt blocked, stuck, or caught in an emotional loop, Jerry's words will land where most strategies can't reach. What You'll Learn in This Episode:The role of forgiveness in emotional, spiritual, and physical healingHow stillness creates space for the truth to emergeWhat it means to live in resonance — and how to spot when you're out of itWhy “doing more” often delays your healingHow to feel and integrate pain instead of bypassing itThe power of presence in your leadership, parenting, and relationshipsHow frequency and intention co-create your reality Key Takeaways:✔️Stillness is not punishment — it's an invitation.✔️Your frequency is the foundation of everything you attract and allow.✔️Forgiveness isn't for the other person — it's for you.✔️Most people aren't afraid of failure — they're afraid of stillness.✔️What you suppress, your children inherit.✔️When you shift your energy, everything around you shifts too.✔️Miracles are not magic — they're alignment. In this episode we speak with three runners from Team Abbott — a community of runners who have faced serious health challenges but didn't let those challenges define them! [powerpress] About Our Guests Elizabeth Pehota (Boston, MA): Three days out from running the 2022 Berlin Marathon, Elizabeth Pehota experienced a feeling of pins and needles in her hands, feet and thighs, and an unnatural resistance while running. Soon after, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system. As someone who shares her daily life on social media, Elizabeth, @healthy_cheers on Instagram, only recently opened up about her diagnosis, but has already formed relationships with other MS patients around the world. Elizabeth is an Abbott World Marathon Major Six Star Finisher and received her seventh star in Sydney. Ed Barnes (Douglas, MA): Ed was born with a congenital heart condition and at age 15 he started to experience frequent dizziness - to the point of nearly passing out - leading him to undergo open heart surgery to receive an Abbott artificial aortic heart valve. This year, after completing the Boston Marathon, Ed became the first person with an artificial heart valve to finish all seven Abbott World Marathon Majors. Mary Tawney Suarez (Fullerton, CA): Just before the pandemic, Mary started experiencing seizures and was diagnosed with Epilepsy and a brain cyst. One year later, she started experiencing back pain and numbness in her legs, which was revealed to be the degeneration of the cerebral and lower part of her spine. Despite these obstacles, Mary has continued running, and just finished the Berlin Marathon. [box] Links Mentioned in This Episode Run Coaching. Work with an expert MTA running Coach. Okay, real talk: I love my people, but when life gets ambitious, friendship is the first thing that slides off my calendar. Work, kids, and even rest often feel easier to prioritize than grabbing coffee with a friend. But here's what I've learned: friendship isn't optional — it's survival. In this episode, I unpack: Why friendship matters for ambitious women (spoiler: it literally improves your health and longevity). My own struggles with friendship guilt when I've been “too busy” or spread too thin. The barriers that get in the way of friendships as we move through different seasons of life. Practical strategies to tend to friendships — even when schedules are packed. This is your reminder that friendships don't have to be perfect to matter, and they don't have to be fancy to be meaningful. Whether it's a quick text or a monthly coffee date, tending to your friendships will make you a better leader, partner, parent, and human. Key Takeaways: Friendship is survival — it's not extra, it's essential. Friendships don't have to be perfect to matter. It doesn't have to be fancy to be meaningful. You can always restart and reprioritize your friendships, no matter the season you're in. Resources & Links: Dear Nina Podcast Share this episode with a friend you're recommitting to today. The best leaders aren't the ones doing it all — they're the ones who learned they don't have to.In a world that glorifies hustle and self-reliance, we're often rewarded for being the one who carries it all. But what if real leadership begins when we finally let go?In this powerful episode, George sits down with entrepreneur and systems strategist Kate Perkovic for a raw, insightful, and often hilarious conversation about evolving leadership, emotional intelligence, and what it actually means to grow your business without burning yourself out. Together, they explore the subtle shifts required to move from “I've got this” to “We've got this.”Whether you're a solopreneur trying to do it all or a seasoned leader learning to trust your team, this episode will challenge and expand your definition of leadership, legacy, and leverage. What You'll Learn in This Episode:The hidden cost of being the “strong one” in leadershipHow to stop outsourcing your worth to your accomplishmentsWhy systems aren't about control — they're about creating capacityHow Kate rewrote her relationship with achievement and restWhen leadership is really ego in disguise (and how to catch it)What to do when growth feels boring, hard, or lonely Key Takeaways:✔️Hyper-independence is a trauma response — not a badge of honor.✔️If your leadership requires you to disappear, it's not sustainable.✔️Control is not the opposite of chaos — trust is.✔️Your business will only grow to the level of your nervous system's capacity.✔️Letting go is a strategy, not a failure.✔️No one wants your burnout badge on their vision board.✔️Systems aren't for perfection — they're for protection.✔️Leading well means healing first. This week we're doing something a little different on the Awake & Winning Podcast. Instead of Kaylor in the host chair, we're sharing an interview where he was the guest. Our friend Barb Moylan, the powerhouse behind Bam Fit 4 Life, brought Kaylor on her Facebook Live show for a raw conversation about ADHD, depression, and what it really takes to take back control of your life. Kaylor gets vulnerable about the years he felt like he was stuck “in the trunk” of his own life, the rock-bottom moment that cracked everything open, and how he flipped the script on ADHD, seeing it as a superpower instead of a disability. He also breaks down the simple but powerful fundamentals that changed everything: testing for root causes, dialing in sleep and nutrition, training hard, and keeping promises to himself. Barb's mission to help women reclaim strength and sovereignty is the perfect match for this convo, and you'll walk away inspired to rethink health, purpose, and freedom on your own terms. Episode Highlights: ADHD reframe, root-cause testing, circadian rhythm, clean nutrition, strength training, anxiety tools, promises to self, entrepreneurship, mission first, men's mental health, pharmaceutical trade-offs, sovereignty Takeaways: You are not a victim Reframe ADHD as a superpower and align your work Test for root causes before you treat Regulate sleep and light exposure daily Balance blood sugar and lower inflammation Keep promises to yourself to crush anxiety Build a mission that's bigger than you If this episode lit a fire under you, don't keep it to yourself. In this episode of Her Revision, Jasmine Lashae gets all the way real about the quiet things we avoid — the decisions, the boundaries, the truths — and how avoidance often disguises itself as peace, rest, or even loyalty. From untangling your worth from being the “teacher,” to naming the emotional clutter that keeps you stuck, this episode is a spiritual gut check. No fluff. No performative softness. Just truth, reflection, and that loving push you've been avoiding.
The Unapologetic Vixen Podcast: Owning Pleasure As A Black Woman
In this powerful episode of Owning Pleasure as a Black Woman, I dismantle one of the biggest lies we've been sold: that our worth equals our productivity. If you've ever felt guilty about resting, equated being busy with being valuable, or can't sit still without your brain creating a to-do list, this episode is for you. I explore the historical roots of productivity scripts in the Black community, reveal whose voices are really in your head when you call yourself "lazy," and expose what the productivity trap is actually costing you—your connection to your body, your authentic desires, and your relationships.Key Takeaways:● The Productivity Script Isn't Yours: Those voices calling you lazy are inherited survival scripts from generations who had to work twice as hard to survive. The "strong Black woman" mythology equating struggle with worth was a survival strategy, not your identity.● Your Worth ≠ Other People's Comfort: Productivity often becomes a way to avoid disappointing others through people-pleasing tendencies. Your rest isn't stealing from anyone—their discomfort with your boundaries is information, not instruction.● The Real Cost of the Productivity Lie: Constant busyness disconnects you from your body's signals, causes you to lose touch with your authentic desires, and prevents present-moment connections in your relationships. This Week's Action Plan:The Voice Detective Practice: Every time you feel guilty about resting, pause and ask "Whose voice is this really?" Write down the exact words and ask if you'd say this to someone you love. The Values Check: Before saying yes to anything, ask yourself: "Am I doing this because it aligns with my values, or because I'm afraid of someone's discomfort?"Body Wisdom Reset: Set three daily alarms. When they go off, ask your body "What do you need right now?" and give it one small thing it's asking for.Ready to Transform Your Relationship with Rest?Join Natasha's FREE 7-Day Self-Care Reset and go from feeling guilty about your needs to confidently putting yourself first without the shame. Over seven days, you'll:Give yourself permission to matterRecognize inherited productivity scriptsQuiet the mental chatter that never lets you restReconnect with your body's wisdomRediscover what YOU actually want (not what you think you should want)Create a sustainable plan that works with your real lifeStart your transformation today: www.javerywellness.com/resetConnect with Natasha:● Instagram: @natasha_is_satisfied ● Website: www.javerywellness.comLove This Episode? If this episode hit home for you, please take 30 seconds to rate and review this podcast! You've probably seen people on TikTok say GEO is the new SEO. But here's the problem… most of them are mixing up two completely different GEOs. One is Generative Engine Optimization, how AI engines like ChatGPT decide who to recommend. The other is geo-positioning, making sure your service and location actually show up together online. Both matter. And if you don't get this straight, you'll stay invisible in 2025. In this episode of Branding Momentum, I'm breaking down: The difference between GEO, AEO, and SEO (and why service pros can't ignore them) Why AI doesn't care about your Instagram if your service and city aren't paired clearly A simple real-world example of who AI chooses first… and who gets erased
After a summer pause, I'm back — and this isn't just a 'continuation', it's a LEVELING UP. The podcast has a new name, a new look, and an even deeper mission:Reclaiming Food, Freedom & The Last 10. For the past 10 years and 420+ episodes, I've been teaching you how to lose the weight you've been struggling with. And that's still true. But here's the thing—this work has always been about so much MORE. Because this isn't just about weight loss. It's about self-liberation. It's about reclaiming your relationship with food—one filled with trust and peace. It's about living in a body that feels like home (instead of constantly feeling at war with it). In this episode, I'm sharing why this shift matters—and why I know it's going to set you free. I'm also introducing you to the movement: #ThisIsMyFreedom. This isn't just a hashtag. It's a declaration. A way for us to claim our power in this area of our lives and celebrate our freedom—with food, in our bodies, and in our lives. Next week, I'll share where you can officially join the movement, take The Quiz, and sign up for my new LIVE workshop happening on October 21st. Here's what you can do right now: Go look at the new cover art. Screenshot it. Tag me on IG with the hashtag #ThisIsMyFreedom and tell me what freedom means to you. xo Brenda

Walking transformed anxiety into vitality for 69-year-old entrepreneur Ande Lyons, who discovered from a book-on-cassette that 35 minutes daily helped manage her symptoms and eventually led to her current six-mile routine despite facing osteoporosis. Ande argues that movement is a privilege rather than a chore, and that community connections matter more than almost anything else for healthy aging, while encouraging people to "take center stage" instead of becoming invisible as they age. Her journey from hiding her age in the startup world to becoming a pro-aging advocate demonstrates how shifting from apathy to action can redefine what thriving looks like in our later decades. For years, we told ourselves lies about our businesses. Lies that kept us playing small, holding us back, and making us think success looked one certain way. We thought we had to shoot destination weddings to “arrive.” We thought buying the newest gear would finally level us up. We thought charging higher prices would mean more difficult clients. None of that was true. The truth is, you don't need to chase every shiny object to succeed. You don't need to go viral on Instagram or say yes to every opportunity that crosses your path. You need clarity, strategy, and the courage to stop letting fear make decisions for you. Once we realized that, our businesses and our mindsets shifted in ways we never thought possible. You are capable of building a profitable, fulfilling business right where you are. Fall is here and we're not tiptoeing into it. Today we talk about going all in without burning out, rebuilding stamina after a slow season, and choosing sustainable momentum over shiny sprints. In this conversation, we welcome back my dear friend Audrey Hall, a creative, builder, and wholehearted go-for-it gal who knows what it takes to strategically ramp back up. Together, we unpack what “locking in” looks like when you're balancing real life: kids, careers, recovery seasons, and the call to create again. We talk about scheduling as stewardship, fluid structure (yes to time blocks, no to rigidity), and the crucial difference between capacity and consistency. You'll hear us reject the tired binary of “hustle harder” vs. “slow way down” and instead build a practice that honors both ambition and sustainability. From self-mastery to seasonality, we explore why momentum sticks when it's grounded in honest constraints, hydration-and-all.We also get practical: experimenting with expectations, noticing when to pause before you tip into burnout, and re-training your stamina at work, in your body, and in your calendar. If you've felt the nudge to go all in but you're wary of old patterns, this one is your invitation.Listen In For …Why pairing structure with fluidity lets you move fast without snapping your bandwidth. How to treat scheduling as stewardship of time, energy, and attention.A simple lens for “capacity before consistency” so your progress is sustainable. The mindset shift from binary choices to both/and thinking (success and ease). How to rebuild stamina after a long rest without shaming your pace.A practical reframe for goals: train for the distance, check your direction, take water breaks. What it means to practice self-mastery now (not who you were at 25, 30, or last year). Why “locking in” can include Slime Sundays, date nights, Bible study, and all the parts of a real life, on purpose.TL;DR (Minute by Minute)Times are approximate.00:00 Opening: why we're “locking in” for fall and inviting you into the conversation.04:00 Calendars as clarity: scheduling that feels empowering.08:45 Coming out of hibernation: Audrey on starting from “zero” and finding traction.12:30 Capacity before consistency: the stamina metaphor and sustainable progress.16:40 Seasonality in real life: mom-mode, build-mode, and rejecting scarcity.21:15 Fluid structure: observing burnout signals and knowing when to set it down.26:00 Self-mastery in this season: goals, pace, water breaks, and course checks.31:20 The middle ground: ditching the hustle/slow binary and choosing both/and.35:10 Permission slip: “Lock in with us” and how to start today.38:30 Wrap-up + six-week check-in invitation for accountability.Where to Go From HereQuestion for you: What's your first non-negotiable as you lock in for fall—the one practice that makes everything else easier?
