Absolute Power comes to an end with issue 4 by Mark Waid, Dan Mora, Alejandro Sanchez, Ariana Maher and company! The Speakers of Geek give their thoughts on the finale and the all out battle against Amanda Waller to reclaim the DC Universe. Varios dirigentes del Partido Nacional cuestionaron en los últimos días las “prioridades para gobernar” que el candidato del Frente Amplio Yamandú Orsi dio a conocer el lunes de la semana pasada. El presidenciable blanco Álvaro Delgado, por ejemplo, le reprocha a la oposición que no explica cómo va a llevar a la práctica esas prioridades. "No dicen el cómo. Dicen los titulares. En algunos de forma muy voluntarista. En otros, que detallan un poco más, coinciden con nosotros". Ayer en un largo hilo en sus redes sociales, Delgado ahondó en su planteo. “Estimado Orsi, a un mes de las elecciones, seguimos esperando el Programa de Gobierno del Frente Amplio”, escribió. Delgado criticó a la coalición de izquierdas ya que a su juicio esa fuerza política viene “postergando” el anuncio de su programa. “A fin del año pasado el FA anunció las ‘Bases' que subieron a la web en Diciembre. Tras las críticas recibidas sobre dicho contenido y cuando Cosse sacó sus Bases durante la interna, declaraste que luego de la elección el candidato ganador definiría el contenido. Cuando se anunció la fórmula, dijeron que el Programa se presentaría en la Convención del FA. Pero se postergó. Anunciaron que se presentaría el Día del Comité el 25/08. Y se volvió a postergar”. Luego, el candidato blanco aseguró que las prioridades para gobernar presentadas el lunes 16 en Colonia, son “7 páginas con 48 propuestas sin el respaldo técnico que explique cómo las van a concretar”. ¿De eso deberíamos opinar?, se preguntó. Como contrapartida, Delgado destacó que el 2 de mayo pasado él “presentó un programa de gobierno con 300 propuestas” y le recordó a Orsi que se ha negado a debatir cuándo él lo ha invitado. “Durante 4 años el FA se opuso sistemáticamente a todo lo que hizo nuestro gobierno. Siendo tan implacables para la crítica, esperábamos un Programa que diera respuestas a todas esas críticas realizadas”, aseguró. “No parece honesto, a un mes de las elecciones, que un partido importante como el FA, pretenda ganarlas sin tener acordado un Programa de Gobierno”, concluyó. A las críticas se sumó la economista Laura Raffo, que sostuvo, aquí En Perspectiva que las prioridades para gobernar son meros “eslóganes” que “no dan certeza a la ciudadanía”. En la misma línea, se ha expresado el senador Sebastián Da Silva. En un acto, de la Lista 40 que se realizó este sábado en Montevideo, Da Silva llevó un muñeco de Tribilín con una mordaza. “Tribilín, es hora de que empieces a hablar. Es hora de que abras la boca. Que por favor te saquen esa mordaza”. Ayer el senador Alejandro Sanchez respondió a Delgado, en la misma red social. “Estimado Álvaro, entiendo que no encuentres el programa del Frente Amplio, ya que quien te asesora es adepto a destruir documentos en el piso 11 de Torre Ejecutiva”, escribió Sánchez, aludiendo al publicista Roberto Lafluff. Sanchez posteó un link a las bases programáticas que el Frente Amplio aprobó en diciembre del año pasado. En un acto en Durazno, Orsi cuestionó al oficialismo por no responder al fondo de sus propuestas. El candidato del Frente Amplio mencionó, durante su alocución, varias iniciativas entre ellas “fortalecer” la custodia de las fronteras, instalar “policía especializada” en los barrios para “estudiar el delito”, ampliar las becas Butiá para los estudiantes de Secundaria o aumentar el monto de la Tarjeta Uruguay Social. “Queremos saber si están de acuerdo o en desacuerdo, porque hasta ahora no nos han dicho nada. Nos gustaría hablar de esas cosas”, sintetizó Orsi. El documento titulado “Prioridades para Gobernar”, divulgado el lunes pasado contiene un listado de 48 medidas focalizadas en desarrollo económico, protección social, y seguridad pública. El jueves de la semana pasada el Frente Amplio divulgó un nuevo documento de 28 páginas donde detalla y fundamenta las propuestas. About the lecture: This presentation will discuss current relations between the Russian Federation and Latin American and Caribbean states. Apart from addressing Moscow's relations with “the usual suspects” (e.g. Cuba and Venezuela), we will also explore initiatives with other regional states at the diplomatic, defense and economic level. We will conclude by discussing whether the Russian government currently has an overall strategy towards Latin America and the Caribbean and what new initiatives we can expect in the near future. About the speaker: W. Alejandro Sanchez is an international affairs analyst who focuses on geopolitical and defense issues in the Western Hemisphere. A member of the Forum on the Arms Trade, he is a regular contributor to IHS Jane's Defense Weekly, the Center for International Maritime Security, Living in Peru, among others. His analyses have appeared in journals including Small Wars and Insurgencies, Defence Studies, the Journal of Slavic Military Studies, European Security, Studies in Conflict and Terrorismand Perspectivas. He received his B.A. from Ursinus College, his M.A. from American University, his Certificate on Caribbean Defense and Security from the National Defense University (Washington, DC) and his Certificate on International Politics from the Institute of World Politics.
