Wobei das nicht für alle Franzosen gilt, sondern insbesondere für die politischen Führungskräfte wie Präsident Emmanuel Macron. Der hat den zuvor gescheiterten Premierminister Sébastien Lecornu nun erneut beauftragt, eine neue Regierung zu bilden. Frankreichs Präsident scheint bestrebt zu sein, sein Land nicht aus der Krise zu führen, in die er es selbst geführt hat. Das geschah, indem er nach der vorfristig anberaumten Parlamentswahl am 30. Juni und 7. Juli 2024 nicht die Wahlgewinner vom linken Bündnis Nouveau Front Populaire (NFP, deutsch: Neue Volksfront) und auch nicht den Rassemblement National (RN, deutsch.: Nationaler Zusammenschluss – bis 2018: Front National) als stärkste Einzelpartei mit der Regierungsbildung beauftragte.RN war diejenige Einzelpartei, die jenseits der verschiedenen Bündnisse die meisten Sitze in der französischen Nationalversammlung erhalten hat. Auch wenn die Partei im Vergleich zu den Parteibündnissen als Verliererin aus der Wahl hervorging, erreichte die Anzahl ihrer Sitze im Parlament und der Stimmen, die für sie gestimmt haben, ein Rekordniveau. Doch die anderen politischen Kräfte taten alles, was ihnen möglich war, um einen tatsächlichen Erfolg des RN, geführt einst von Marine Le Pen und seit 2022 von Jordan Bardella, zu verhindern. In Frankreich ist das ähnlich wie hierzulande, wenn es um die Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) geht, die die anderen Parteien mit allen, auch undemokratischen Mitteln bekämpfen.Nebenbemerkung: Dabei gilt in beiden Fällen, dass es sich um Systemparteien handelt, auch wenn sie sich öffentlich gegen das etablierte „System“ stellen. Wenn es tatsächlich dazu kommt, dass der RN wie auch die AfD erwartungsgemäß eines Tages an der Regierung ihrer Länder beteiligt werden, werden viele ihrer Wähler ihr „blaues Wunder“ erleben. Germany's 2025 federal election saw the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) double its support to 20.8%, becoming the second largest party, while the Green Party fell from 14.8% to 11.6%. They would start investing again in nuclear power. They would start up natural gas generation. Wind and solar would be integral, but a small part, because they would need reliable, cheap energy to compete on the world market. They would join the United States and look at China and say, "This is intolerable, this system of mercantilism." They would close their borders. They would go to an assimilationist model and require immigrants that came legally to fully become Germans. They would do all of that. But instead, when one party is advocating much of what I just talked about, they demonize it because it's out of the norm. And the norm, unfortunately, in Germany today is national suicide.”

This prompted the United States to issue statements of condemnation, as German authorities crack down on growing dissent via the open use of domestic intelligence agencies.Germany: This afternoon a vehicle ramming incident was reported in Stuttgart after a vehicle collided with a group of people waiting at a bus stop. A total of 11x people were wounded and at least one victim has succumbed to their wounds. The driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene.AC: It's not immediately clear as to if this was a legitimate and deliberate terror attack, or if it was more of a tragic motor vehicle accident. Local authorities claim that the incident was merely a traffic accident, however German police have been known to openly lie about terrorist attacks being terror attacks, so this is an unreliable source for determining causation. It's going to be up to them".AC: The United States will probably not walk away from this war as much as one might be inclined to think based on this statement. This sentiment is probably intended to force both Russia and Ukraine back to the table and to get serious about a peace deal.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: The classification of the AfD party in Germany as an extremist group is completely unsurprising, especially as the latest polling data suggests the AfD might actually be the largest support base in the country. Interestingly enough, the agency that issued this label is the Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (BfD), or Germany's main domestic intelligence service. While most other nations frame their intelligence services as being foreign in nature (at least on paper), Germany does indeed have a modern day domestic equivalent to the STASI, the infamous intelligence service of the Cold War. What's perhaps most interesting is that the AfD party isn't really a right-wing or conservative party...even by European standards. It's generally described as a centrist party, at most. En 1984, aux élections européennes, la liste Front national qu'il conduit réalise un score frôlant les 11 %. En 2002, il parvient au second tour de l'élection présidentielle. Le succès de sa rhétorique anti-immigrés va croissant tandis que la crise économique s'amplifie. On parle de « lepénisation des esprits ». Si aujourd'hui la domination de Marine Le Pen au sein des catégories populaires est avérée, c'est Jean-Marie Le Pen qui a siphonné le premier l'électorat ouvrier. Dès la présidentielle de 1988 l'universitaire Pascal Perrineau a identifié ce qu'il a appelé le « gaucho-lepénisme ». En 2011, Jean-Marie Le Pen transmet à sa fille cadette Marine, la présidence d'un parti encore encombré d'une image raciste et antisémite. De cet ascendant biologique et politique, Marine Le Pen tente de s'affranchir. La « dédiabolisation » sera son grand projet, au vif désappointement du vieux chef quelle finit par exclure en 2015. Le Pen perd alors les tréteaux sur lesquels il joue le rôle de sa vie, la profanation.Au moment de sa disparition, l'héritage politique de Jean-Marie Le Pen est double. D'un côté, il reste toujours présent au Front national – devenu Rassemblement national – à travers le nom de famille Le Pen. Il laisse derrière lui deux héritières. Marine qui préside le groupe Rassemblement national, devenu le premier groupe de l'Assemblée nationale depuis la dissolution avec 121 députés, et Marion Maréchal ex – Le Pen, élue au Parlement européen à la tête de son parti Identités-Libertés. Les thématiques chères à leur père et grand-père, comme les dangers de la mondialisation et de l'immigration, ainsi que la préférence nationale, rebaptisée priorité nationale, restent les clefs de voûte du Rassemblement national. D'un autre côté, ses provocations et son exaltation se prolongent davantage depuis la présidentielle de 2022 à travers Éric Zemmour, nouveau représentant électoral et médiatique de l'extrême droite la plus dure. Nicolas Lebourg, historien spécialiste des mouvements liés à cette idéologie distingue deux legs importants : « L'un culturel, car le RN reste un parti profondément national-populiste, en gardant un discours autour d'une France menacée de décadence par des élites faillies. L'autre patrimonial, car aucun des députés frontistes ne pourrait être à cette place aujourd'hui si Jean-Marie Le Pen n'avait pas œuvré pendant des décennies pour sortir l'extrême-droite du désert. » Virginie Martin, politologue, enseignante-chercheuse à Kedge Business School observe que si « Jean-Marie Le Pen n'était pas un grand théoricien du politique, pas plus qu'il n'était un grand idéologue politique […] il a gagné la bataille culturelle sur la question de l'immigration comme sur celle de la sécurité ». À moins qu'il n'ait été que le visage et la grande gueule d'une évolution des opinions à l'œuvre dans toute l'Europe.TRUMP + MUSK = ?Avant même son investiture le 20 janvier prochain Donald Trump déclenche les polémiques, en affirmant que le Canada est un possible « 51ème État », en n'excluant pas l'usage de la force pour annexer le Groenland - un territoire semi-autonome qui appartient au Danemark -, en souhaitant renommer le Golfe du Mexique « Golfe de l'Amérique », ou en envisageant que « le canal de Panama soit restitué aux États-Unis ». Tensions en interne également : les États-Unis ont échappé in extremis au risque d'un shutdown – un arrêt temporaire des activités gouvernementales non essentielles -, faute de financement de l'État fédéral, en défiant les souhaits de Donald Trump et d'Elon Musk, nouveau perturbateur de la vie politique américaine. Au lieu de voter des législations séparées comme le préféraient les élus républicains, Trump aurait l'intention de faire voter une « méga-loi » MAGA (« Make America Great Again ») comprenant ses mesures prioritaires : réforme de la fiscalité, de l'immigration et de la politique énergétique. Le passage de cette loi devrait dominer les premiers mois de son mandat. La question des visas H-1B, destinés aux travailleurs hautement qualifiés a également déclenché des crispations entre les représentants historiques du mouvement MAGA, souvent nativistes et hostiles à l'immigration, y compris légale, et les « néo-MAGA », libéraux et soucieux avant tout d'efficacité. Elon Musk, lui-même né en Afrique du Sud et bénéficiaire de ce visa, a pris fait et cause pour ces visas qui attirent aux États-Unis les ingénieurs les plus talentueux venus du monde entier. Ces tensions se sont calmées après que Trump a choisi son camp en se rangeant auprès de Musk.L'homme le plus riche du monde ne quitte plus Donald Trump depuis la campagne électorale, qu'il a contribué à financer à hauteur d'un quart de milliard de dollars. Son installation à la direction du « DOGE » (Département de l'Efficacité gouvernementale), en tandem avec l'entrepreneur anti-woke, climatosceptique et ultra-conservateur Vivek Ramaswamy promet, elle aussi, d'être fracassante. L'inspiration doctrinale est moins celle des libertariens, réclamant toujours moins d'État pour restaurer la liberté, que celle de la « révolution » néo-conservatrice reaganienne. L'objectif affiché est de privatiser l'État fédéral, de le dépecer et in fine de le transformer en entreprise. Parmi les chantiers du quasi-ministre Musk, des plans de suppression d'emplois massifs, une dérégulation tous azimuts et une coupe dans les dépenses publiques de 2.000 milliards. Ces sabrages concerneraient l'éducation, les retraites, l'audiovisuel, le planning familial, etc. L'implication du milliardaire américain dans la politique européenne se fait toujours plus nette, comme son soutien aux droites radicales. Fin décembre, Elon Musk a ainsi apporté un soutien clair et sans ambiguïté à Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), le parti d'extrême-droite allemand, après avoir traité Olaf Scholz d'« idiot incapable ». After a career developing immunization technologies, he sells Euroinmun to to Perkin Elmer, a US megacorp, for $1.3B; his own majority stake would be worth $600M, so after taxes a German magazine estimated his net worth at circa $300M. After selling the company, he makes a variety of investments, like buying a nearby airport, and continues working on his own, smaller lab, Labor Stöcker. He also donates to the Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD), a German far right party, and positions himself as being against more immigration. Come COVID, the guy realizes that he has the relevant expertise, and in March 2020 develops a vaccine in his personal lab. He tests this vaccine on himself, and later on family and employees. After some experiments, he becomes sure of the vaccine's efficacy and harmlessness, as it uses the same mechanisms as e.g., Hepatitis vaccines. He decides that, in times of urgency, double blind trials would take too long, and organizes a vaccine drive on his airport. But the Paul Ehrlich Institute and the Landesamt für soziale Dienste sue him, and police interrupt the vaccine drive. After my resounding success with the first five immunizations (within my own family), I applied for approval for a corresponding study in September 2020 (Wednesday, 2 September 2020, 18:52) with the head of the Paul Ehrlich Institute, Klaus Cichutek. I tried to make it clear to him that within six months I could have immunized all of Germany safely and efficiently against Covid-19. And yet, instead of eliciting enthusiasm from this important senior civil servant, I aroused his displeasure, apparently because he felt overlooked. Or perhaps there were other interests involved. And so, he had me prosecuted (the proceedings were closed)... I'm not quite clear on the finer legal points, but although the vaccination drive at his airport seems to have been somehow illegal, Stöcker finds another legal interpretation such that individual doctors can order two vaccine components, an "antigen" and an "adjuvant" and join them together. Separate, they aren't a vaccine, and so its distribution isn't prohibited, per Stöcker's interpretation of the Arzneimittelgesetz. The story then continues, with Stöcker becoming convinced that his vaccine is superior to more recent mRNA vaccines, and winning some and losing other legal cases. Recently, he boasted of reaching 100,000 vaccinations. But he also received a €250K fine for the vaccination drive in his airport. Cichutek, the bureaucrat, received a Federal Order of Merit, but is no longer the chief of the Paul Ehrlich Institute. Overall, sources defending Stöcker's point of view are more numerous and accessible than sources presenting the opposite perspective. Still, here is a blog post outlining the lack of information about quality assurance processes, and other problems with the potential vaccine. Ultimately, it could be the case that the Lübeck vaccine was inferior, and that legal censure was indeed justified. However, my impression is that, on the balance of probabilities, that's not the case. Particularly on the early days of the pandemic, scaling a cheap method seems like it would have been much better than subjecting the population to the also uncertain effects of more infections. And as time goes on, having had different vaccines also seems like it would have been more robust. Still, there are many technical details that I don't understand. With this in mind, what are some possible lessons? One clear one seems that Stöcker's support of the AfD generated general antipathy, and reduced his freedom for action. It could have been the deciding factor in having hostile interactions with the opaque bureaucra...

Det er nemlig blevet afsløret, at der har været et tophemmeligt møde mellem højtstående medlemmer af partiet Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), højreekstreme grupperinger og stenrige lobbyister. C dans l'air du 23 janvier 2024 - Berlin, janvier 2024: "dehors les nazis!" Des manifestations massives se sont multipliées en Allemagne le week-end dernier contre le mouvement d'extrême droite Alternative für Deutschland (AfD). Une mobilisation d'ampleur dans tout le pays qui s'explique en grande partie par les révélations du médias Correctiv qui n'en finissent pas de faire des vagues outre-Rhin depuis le 10 janvier. Ce consortium de journalistes d'investigation a mis au jour une réunion secrète qui s'est tenue en novembre 2023 entre des membres de groupuscules d'extrême droite et néonazis européens avec plusieurs cadres de l'AfD. Au cours de cette rencontre, ils auraient discuté de politiques à mettre en œuvre dans l'éventualité d'une arrivée au pouvoir de l'AfD dont notamment un plan de "rémigration", l'expulser d'Allemagne d'étrangers, mais aussi des d'immigrés ayant acquis la nationalité allemande. L'AfD a affirmé qu'elle n'avait aucun lien organisationnel ou financier avec la réunion et que les membres qui y ont participé l'ont fait à titre purement personnel. Néanmoins, sa dirigeante Alice Weidel s'est séparée d'un conseiller qui était présent, tout en dénonçant le travail de Correctiv. La colère suscitée par cette enquête a relancé les appels dans le pays pour interdire l'AfD qui multiplie ces derniers mois les succès dans les urnes en particulier dans l'ex-Allemagne de l'Est. À l'approche des élections européennes, l'AFD ne cesse de progresser dans les sondages. Il est aujourd'hui le deuxième parti du pays avec 22 % des intentions de vote et entend cultiver une posture de rupture avec le reste de la classe politique. Sa présidente vient ainsi de vanter le Brexit dans une interview au Financial Times et de suggérer que si son parti arrive au pouvoir, il pourrait organiser un référendum pour un "Dexit", une sortie de l'Allemagne de l'Union. Une façon pour le parti d'extrême droite de fédérer les mécontentements divers, comme en ce moment, celui des agriculteurs, au-delà de ses fiefs de l'ex-RDA. En Italie, près de quinze mois après son arrivée au pouvoir Georgia Meloni est toujours populaire. La dirigeante d'extrême droite entend poursuivre le parcours de normalisation de son parti. Mais en échec sur sa promesse d'enrayer l'arrivée des migrants dans le pays, elle donne des gages aux plus radicaux en durcissant la législation contre la communauté LGBT. Elle est également sous pression depuis le 7 janvier, jour où des centaines de militants d'extrême droite ont fait des saluts fascistes lors d'un de leurs rassemblements annuels à Rome. Ils commémoraient l'assassinat pendant les années 1970 de deux membres des jeunesses du Mouvement social italien (MSI) l'héritier après-guerre du parti fasciste. C'est également celui dans lequel Giorgia Meloni a fait ses débuts en politique avant de fonder son parti Fratelli d'Italia dont le logo reprend la flamme, étendard du MSI, évoquant le tombeau du Duce. L'opposition a demandé la dissolution de l'organisation néofasciste CasaPound, le parquet a ouvert une enquête préliminaire sur les intentions de ces militants et Giorgia Meloni reste silencieuse. En France, le Rassemblement national, qui siège avec l'AfD au Parlement européen, est donné largement en tête aux prochaines élections européennes, avec 31 % d'intentions de vote, selon un sondage Odoxa. La route est encore longue avant le scrutin du 9 juin prochain mais la formation d'extrême droite de Marine Le Pen mobilise ses troupes et se porte au chevet des agriculteurs. Une stratégie qui s'est révélée payante aux Pays-Bas, avec l'explosion du vote populiste aux élections locales du printemps dernier et la victoire de l'extrême droite lors de législatives en fin d'année. Après les massacres du 7 octobre et la débâcle sécuritaire pour le pays, la feuille de route que s'est fixée le gouvernement israélien est « de parvenir à la destruction des capacités militaires et administratives du Hamas et du Jihad islamique de manière à les empêcher de menacer et d'attaquer les citoyens d'Israël pendant de nombreuses années ». Un objectif très proche de celui déjà formulé en 2008, au lendemain de la prise de contrôle par le Hamas de la bande de Gaza. Ce qui interroge sur sa faisabilité. Car le Hamas n'est pas seulement une organisation, elle est aussi une idéologie qui, elle, ne va pas mourir. Pour le chroniqueur du Monde, Alain Frachon « on peut même parier que le pilonnage aérien systématique, les destructions d'habitations, l'exil intérieur et les privations imposées à une population gazaouie martyrisée vont susciter la prochaine génération de djihadistes. » En poursuivant cette offensive coûteuse en vies humaines palestiniennes, l'armée israélienne se retrouve de fait sur le terrain choisi par le Hamas. Comme lors des incursions précédentes, nul doute que ses infrastructures et ses miliciens sont déjà durement touchés et le seront plus encore, mais l'éradication promise par les autorités israéliennes supposerait une campagne de plusieurs mois, étendue à la totalité de Gaza. Or, l'armée israélienne ne dispose pas d'une maîtrise totale du temps et la mondialisation du conflit ainsi que la sensibilité des opinions, que l'on peut déjà constater, jouent contre elle. Sa stratégie offensive pèse lourdement sur l'image d'Israël. Le décompte quotidien des pertes civiles à Gaza donné par le Hamas ne peut pas être vérifié, mais les images et les témoignages qui parviennent de l'enclave attestent qu'il y a de très nombreuses victimes, parmi lesquelles 60 journalistes, et de très nombreux enfants. Wassim Nasr journaliste à France 24 et membre du Soufan Center, créé par l'une des figures incontournables de l'anti-terrorisme, estime dans La Vie qu'« en libérant des femmes, des enfants et des personnes âgées, le Hamas renforce son image vis-à-vis d'un public déjà acquis à sa cause dans le monde ». Ainsi, la scénarisation des remises d'otages, pour faire un récit « positif » adapté aux réseaux sociaux, a été immédiate. Partout en Europe, les partis nationalistes ou d'extrême droite ont le vent en poupe. En Allemagne, Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) a progressé jusqu'à devenir le deuxième parti le plus populaire du pays. Son succès polarise la politique locale, et il pourrait remporter les élections en Thuringe l'an prochain. Le 22 novembre, aux Pays-Bas, le leader du Parti pour la liberté Geert Wilders a enlevé 37 des 150 sièges de la Chambre basse. Une avancée qui renforce le camp des pays menés par l'extrême droite, après celle de Roberto Fico en Slovaquie le 1er octobre. L'année prochaine, l'extrême droite pourrait encore accroître son influence à l'occasion des élections européennes de juin. Les sondages d'opinons n'excluent pas que Marine Le Pen remporte l'élection présidentielle en 2027. Si la plupart de ces partis sont toujours hostiles aux étrangers, l'expérience britannique a tempéré l'hostilité de certains envers l'UE et ils sont moins nombreux à vouloir abandonner la monnaie unique. Tous expriment de nouvelles inquiétudes, rejetant ostensiblement les politiques de lutte contre le changement climatique, qui, affirment-ils, serait une invention des élites. Ensuite, le soutien dont ils bénéficient a évolué. Selon les calculs de The Economist dans 15 des 27 États membres de l'UE existent aujourd'hui des partis d'extrême droite qui obtiennent 20 % ou plus dans les sondages, y compris dans tous les grands pays, sauf l'Espagne, où les nationalistes de Vox ont essuyé une défaite aux élections de juillet. Près des quatre cinquièmes de la population de l'UE vivent désormais dans des pays où l'extrême droite séduit au moins un cinquième de l'électorat. Toutefois, ces partis ont tendance à modérer leurs opinions quand ils sont endossent des responsabilités gouvernementales, comme le prouve Georgia Meloni, la première chef de gouvernement d'extrême droite dans un pays d'Europe occidentale depuis la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, qui n'a pas cherché querelle à l'Europe.
