Same Swamp, Different BroodThe DC Madam & the Secret That Still HumsClose your eyes: DC, late ‘90s into the 2000s. Suits at the Mayflower, steakhouse hush-hush deals on K Street, the kind of power that smells like dry-cleaned wool, stale cigars, and cheap cologne. There was no Tinder. No casual fling on a swipe. If you wanted vice, you went through the shadows — or you called Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the DC Madam. She didn't run some back-alley hustle. Pamela Martin & Associates was an escort network for the capital's respectable sinners: contractors, agency lifers, moralists with Bible verses on their lapels. Palfrey kept her insurance policy — a spiral notebook stuffed with names, numbers, and notes that could melt marble. The Black Book. She told the feds: If I go down, I take them with me. A threat like that should've cracked the swamp wide open. For a moment, it did. Randall Tobias — Bush's AIDS czar — out. Senator David Vitter — Mr. Family Values — outed, then forgiven by his base because, well, power forgives itself. But that was it. The machine dribbled out just enough names to keep the wolves fed, then buried the rest. The notebook vanished into sealed court files. And Palfrey? She swore to reporters she'd never kill herself. In 2008, they found her hanging in her mother's shed. Officially: suicide. Unofficially: she was the prototype for “Epstein didn't kill himself” a decade before Epstein was the punchline. That's the pattern: every so often, like a cicada brood clawing up through swamp mud, the black book returns. New names, new rumors. But the roots never get pulled. Epstein was the next cycle — kids instead of consenting adults, island flights instead of Mayflower hotel rooms, rumored Mossad cameras instead of a battered flip phone. The same cycle: names teased, a few low-levels tossed to the mob, the real ringmasters vanish behind sealed files. We like to think the moral panic back then was quaint — grown men sweating bullets over consenting sex work when now you can hook up on an app before your third cocktail. But the real taboo still stands: the blackmail, the kompromat, the buried evidence that would show just how much the moral scolds and law-and-order saints have always been the filthiest ones in the room.Pam Bondi teases Epstein files. Cash Patel shrugs there's no list. Elon Musk huffs about betrayal. The base fumes: Where's the list? They'll be fuming decades from now, too. Because the truth is, you're not on the team that gets to read it.Once, an escort scandal nearly cracked the Capitol. Now, even child trafficking by billionaires fizzles out behind a security badge and a sleepy courthouse clerk. Same secrets. Same hush. Same swamp. You feel that hum? It's the cicadas. They'll be back. The black book always comes back. The swamp always hums. It's not the scandal that ever dies — it's your hope that this time, the list might actually matter.

Today we're talking about what no one else will: The Trump administration has failed to release the Epstein client list — and that's not just a mistake, it's a betrayal. The powerful pedophiles of this world are being shielded, protected, and enabled while children are trafficked and raped. This is what happens when kings fear exposure more than they fear God.We're connecting the dots: Epstein wasn't just a creep with an island — he was part of a global blackmail machine. And it's time we ask why a man with a Jewish surname, operating with international impunity, ended up so close to the Mossad, Israeli intelligence, and foreign interests. Why is Trump suddenly all-in on Israel and Netanyahu? Is it coincidence… or is this the whole game?If Trump is serious about justice, he needs to act like it. No more hiding behind Kash Patel. No more empty speeches while Pam Bondi sits on a “truckload” of Epstein files. Fire them. Release the list. Stand before God and the people, or be counted among the wicked. The blood of the innocent cries out from the ground. And if our so-called leaders won't deliver justice — then we will.—https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

Major players in the auto and powersports industries continue to adapt to the rapidly changing macroeconomic environment teeming with the effects of tariffs and rising inflation. Where some see opportunity, others see indications of a challenging fiscal year. As consumers continue to grapple with affordability, which has been further pressured by tariffs, auto refinancers see an opportunity as delinquencies rise. TransUnion's Q1 2025 Credit Industry Insights Report shows the 60-plus day delinquency rate at 1.38%, the highest first-quarter peak since 2009 during the Great Recession. As consumers search for ways to save on costs, PenFed Credit Union's refinance applications are up 75%, according to Chris Kleczynski, vice president and head of auto lending product strategy. Another tariff shakeup occurred last week after a federal court ruled President Donald Trump's unilateral levies were unconstitutional, though an appeals court reversed the block within 24 hours. With a backdrop of tariffs, consumer spending growth slowed, with personal spending up 0.1% in April compared to a 0.7% growth a month prior. While some parts of the auto industry are experiencing upticks in sales and pricing in this uncertain environment, the powersports market is declining. Towable vehicle values dropped 9.3% year over year in April. Eric Lawrence, Black Book's principal automotive analyst, said that the motorhome and towable market will likely experience further decline in the coming months. Part 1 Stop Signs by Yves Engler Summary"Stop Signs: Immigration Politics and the Interruption of the Globalized Labour Force" by Yves Engler explores the complexities of immigration policies in Canada and their interplay with global labor dynamics. Engler critiques the restrictive immigration measures and presents a compelling argument for a more humane and equitable approach to immigration, emphasizing the need to acknowledge the contributions of immigrants to society and the economy. Key Themes:Globalization and Labor: Engler discusses how globalization has influenced labor migration, creating a demand for flexible and cheap labor. He points out the contradiction in how countries benefit from the labor of immigrants while simultaneously imposing strict immigration controls.Political and Economic Factors: The book delves into the politics behind immigration policy, highlighting how economic interests often drive decisions that affect the lives of migrants. Engler argues that policies are often designed to serve capitalist needs rather than human rights.Human Rights Perspective: Engler advocates for an immigration system based on human rights rather than on economic utility. He stresses the negative impact of deportations and temporary work permits on immigrant communities.Activism and Response: Engler encourages activism and public discourse around immigration rights. He suggests that recognizing the contributions of immigrants to society can lead to a more just and inclusive immigration system. Conclusion:"Stop Signs" serves as a powerful critique of current immigration practices in Canada, urging readers to reconsider the policies that restrict the movement of people across borders. Engler calls for systemic change that prioritizes the well-being of individuals and communities over economic gain, fostering a more inclusive society.Part 2 Stop Signs AuthorYves Engler is a Canadian author and political activist known for his critical views on Canadian foreign policy and social justice issues. Book Release: "Stop Signs: Cars and Capitalism on the Road to the Future" was released in October 2021. The book argues against car culture and examines the broader implications of automobile-centric planning on urban life and society. Other Works:Yves Engler has authored several books, including:"The Black Book of Canadian Foreign Policy" – A critical examination of Canada's role in international affairs."Canada in Africa: 300 Years of Aid and Exploitation" – Explores Canada's involvement in Africa through colonialism and foreign aid."Left, Right: Marching to the Beat of Imperialism" – A critique that looks at various Canadian political parties and their stances on imperialism."The Ugly Canadian: Stephen Harper's Foreign Policy" – An analysis of the Harper government's foreign policy."A Propaganda System: How Canada's Government, Corporations, Media and Academia Sell War and Exploitation" – Discusses the relationship between Canadian institutions and propaganda."The Trouble with Canada: A Canadian History" – A critique of Canadian nationalism and its impacts on various social issues. Best Editions:While opinions on which of Yves Engler's books is the best may vary depending on the reader's interests, "The Black Book of Canadian Foreign Policy" is often regarded as one of his most significant works due to its comprehensive analysis of Canada's historical and contemporary actions on the global stage. With its insightful critique of government policies, it has received notable attention and can be seen as a seminal work in Engler's oeuvre.Part 3 Stop Signs Chapters"Stop Signs" by Yves Engler is a critical examination of Canadian foreign policy, particularly its impacts on global socio-political dynamics and its alignment with U.S. imperial interests. Writing histories of communism and "really existing socialism" have been fraught with political tension for decades. On the one hand, sectarian debates in the global left too often overlooked the nuances of really existing socialism and cutting edge academic research in order to align with specific ideological orientations. On the other hand, and far more consequential, Cold War-era anti-communism (and the collapse of the Soviet Union that followed) engendered generations of historians - both professional and not - with an implicit hostility to communism as an intellectual starting point. While many historians have directly opposed anti-communist History writing, and successfully shaped and contributed to academic and popular discussions, anti-communism persists in the academy and popular discourses globally. So how should we assess and understand "anti-communism" and its relationship with History? And how do popular memory politics, nationalist imaginations, global political shifts, archival access and academic trends play into it? And what does all this mean for the left and socialist politics today? On today's episode we discuss all this and more with Stefan Gužvica, using his recent article in Jacobin on the notorious "Black Book of Communism" as a starting point. You can read the article here:https://jacobin.com/2025/01/black-book-communism-courtois-historyStefan Gužvica is assistant professor at the Department of History of the Higher School of Economics in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation. He is the author of Before Tito: The Communist Party of Yugoslavia during the Great Purge, 1936–1940. He is currently working on a book based off his doctoral dissertation defended at the University of Regensburg in 2022, titled "Sickle without a Hammer: Revolution and Nation-Building in the Balkans, 1900s–1930s."(episode image is a French anti-communist poster circa 1950/51 entitled "Caucasian Dance" produced by the movement "Peace and Freedom". Jeffrey Epstein's powerful associates, including politicians, celebrities, and business magnates. Prosecutors sought to introduce the book to demonstrate Maxwell's role in Epstein's operations, though the defense attempted to limit its admissibility. A former Epstein employee testified about maintaining the book, confirming its authenticity and its use in managing Epstein's social and business network. A second black book emerged separately, adding another layer of intrigue to the case. This version, reportedly belonging to one of Epstein's pilots, contained overlapping names with the first book but also included additional contacts and flight details. Unlike the original book, which was linked directly to Maxwell's trial, this second book reinforced allegations about Epstein's extensive connections and travel records. The revelation of a second book fueled further speculation about who might have been involved with Epstein's network. In this episode we take a look at both.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com
