This week we're taking a tumble — both literally and metaphorically — as we break down our Top 5 Falls in Movies and TV, followed by a closer look at the slow-burning, Palme d'Or-winning courtroom drama Anatomy of a Fall. No kids' section this time around — just a lot of bodies hitting the floor (sometimes figuratively).
Our guest this week is Randy Pierce of Concord, NH who is an author, avid outdoorsman, mountain climber, keynote speaker, president & CEO of Future In Sight New Hampshire, and who himself if blind. Randy and his wife, Tracy, have been married for 15 years. When Randy was in his early 20s he suddenly went blind in one eye and then over a number of years would lose sight in the other eye. If that wasn't challenging enough, Randy also lost the ability to walk for the better part of two years. After a series of medical procedures and through old fashion grit and determination, Randy regained his ability to walk and has become an avid outdoorsman and mountain climber. Professionally Randy is president & CEO of Future In Sight New Hampshire, a non-profit providing essential services and support for over 100 years to children, adults and elderly living in New Hampshire who are blind and visually impaired.Randy is also author of the book: See You At The Summit: My Blind Journey From The Depths Of Loss To The Heights Of Achievement, a brilliant and inspirational read. When I would travel the country for book signings, one of the most special combinations of people to arrive at my table would be mothers and daughters-in-law. It's always so touching when two of the most important women in a man's life actually like one another, and maybe even love each other. While it's sadly not the norm, I've always believed that when a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law can open their hearts to receive the blessing of their relationship ... Why are women's health concerns still being dismissed and what can we do about it? The healthcare system was not built for women. For many of us, especially in midlife, our health concerns are dismissed, misunderstood, or flat-out ignored. And when you're navigating the storm of divorce at the same time as perimenopause or menopause? It can feel like you're unraveling. I'm joined by Phoenix Rising member Kathy Gould, a holistic health coach, personal trainer, life coach, lactation consultant, and current grad student finishing her second Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. (I'm telling you, the women in Phoenix Rising are BADASS!) This episode started as a guest expert session inside Phoenix Rising (my divorce empowerment collective for women). The conversation was so powerful, I knew I had to bring it to the podcast. Kathy and I get into why the medical system has failed women, how we've been gaslit about our own bodies, and what it looks like to take our power back especially during times of massive upheaval like divorce. We are not meant to go through this quietly, and we are certainly not meant to go through it alone. What you'll hear about in this episode: Why women's health is dismissed, especially in midlife (6:11) The deep need for more open, supportive conversations around our wellness (12:14) The long-standing misconceptions about hormone replacement therapy (HRT) (16:41) What Kathy recommends for women going through both divorce and menopause at the same time (35:15) How to advocate for yourself when doctors aren't listening (especially if they're covered by insurance) (41:59) Learn more about Kathy Gould: Kathy is an integrative holistic health coach, life coach and personal trainer. She is also a certified lactation consultant. She holds a Masters Degree in Health Psychology and is currently finishing a second Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Kathy is passionate about women's health and wellness and has dedicated her career to women's physical and emotional wellness. Resources & Links: Follow The Divorce Survival Guide on YouTube! In today's episode, I sat down with Blair Jones - wellness advocate, astrologer, and conscious parenting mentor - for what turned into one of the most honest, moving, and expansive conversations I've had on the podcast. From building a wildly successful network marketing business to navigating motherhood, marriage, identity shifts, and the space in between — Blair holds nothing back. We talked about redefining success, releasing the hustle, rekindling intimacy, and what it looks like to be in a season of unknowns. If you've ever questioned what's next after “having it all,” this episode is going to hit home.

In Proverbs 6:30–35, Solomon contrasts the understandable act of a starving thief with the destructive sin of adultery. While a thief can repay what was stolen, the adulterer gains only dishonor and lasting reproach. This passage highlights the irreversible damage caused by betraying trust and violating covenant. What does it mean to truly start over after unimaginable loss? From learning how to ask for help in her "season of yes," to the strength it took to finally take off her wedding ring, Christie Salava's story is raw, honest, and inspiring—and a powerful reminder that you're never alone, even in your darkest moments! Here are 5 key takeaways:The Power of Saying "Yes" to Support Christie shared valuable advice she received early in her journey: embrace a "season of yes." She learned to accept help from friends, community, and anyone offering support—even when it felt uncomfortable or humbling. By saying yes, she allowed others to be part of her healing and recognized the importance of not walking through grief alone.Profound Shifts in Marriage and Caregiving Christie's story illustrates how illness can transform a loved one and a marriage. She discussed the pain of watching her husband Andy's personality change due to his brain tumor and treatments—moving quickly from the man she knew to someone unrecognizable, and the difficult task of protecting her children from those changes while navigating her own grief.Reminders That Healing and Moving Forward Aren't Betrayals The episode deeply explored the emotional complexity of moving forward—especially when it came to taking off her wedding ring and moving out of the family home. Christie expressed her internal tug-of-war between honoring Andy and embracing new chapters.Honesty as a Cornerstone of Healing Christie emphasized the importance of being honest—with herself, her children, her support system, and with God. She explained that allowing herself to voice her true feelings, needs, and struggles enabled her to receive comfort and support.Cultivating Hope for the Future While honoring her past, Christie shared her growing hope and openness to finding love again—without diminishing the love she still holds for Andy. She highlighted how both personal growth and the courage to tackle challenges (like solo road trips and relocating her family) have helped rebuild her confidence and inspire her children by example. This episode is full of heartfelt, vulnerable moments and practical wisdom for anyone navigating loss and the journey toward healing.Be sure to join us again for Part 2 with Christie in an upcoming episode!Need support for feeling more confident moving into your Chapter 2? In this episode of the Man Warrior King podcast, host Matt Hallock explores how the desire to please God can accidentally lead to passivity in marriage. He emphasizes the importance of taking action and partnering with God rather than constantly waiting FOR God. Through biblical examples, particularly the story of Jonathan, Matt encourages men to take initiative in their marriages and lives. He also discusses practical steps for change and highlights resources available for men seeking transformation.TakeawaysYour desire to please God can lead to inaction.Passivity in marriage can lead to deterioration.Women are attracted to men who take action.God desires partnership with us in our actions.Moses was rebuked for inaction; God wants us to move forward.Jonathan took initiative without direct revelation from God.Taking action can initiate God's miraculous work. You have a green light to act until told otherwise.Transformation can feel effortless with the right mindset.Resources like the Masculine Husband program can facilitate change.Pick up your copy of The DNA of a Man here: https://thrive.manwarriorking.com/dna-2025Join The Masculine Husband 3-month Marriage Intensive here: https://thrive.manwarriorking.com/masculinehusbandSubscribe to Matt and Man Warrior King on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/@manwarriorking/Chapters00:00 The Desire to Please God: A Double-Edged Sword07:25 Partnership with God: Action vs. Inaction12:56 Taking Initiative: The Story of Jonathan18:50 Practical Steps for Marital Improvement25:07 Transformative Change: The Masculine Husband Program27:27 Outro exported.mp3

Think about the deep neurobiological connection happening in your brain as you walk into a room and encounter someone who lights up at your presence, and the fulfilling sensation of knowing that person is beaming from the inside out with only one message, “I am so glad to be with YOU!” Without relational joy, there is no relational intelligence. Instead, relational joy is the antidote to the numbing out of our hurried lives because you walk around with a sense of knowing you are seen and loved. As we continue season 5 on relational intelligence, Josh provides what he calls the “JOY STARTS framework”—four principles and corresponding practices spelling the word JOYS to jumpstart relational joy in your life and in the lives of those around you. I dive into: Why resentment isn't about him—it's about what you're making it mean What to do when you feel stuck in your role How to reclaim your power, purpose, and agency without waiting for permission The truth about money, motherhood, and making decisions as a team What resentment is really trying to tell you (and how to use it to evolve) This is your guide to stop minimizing your role, stop giving your power away, and start leading your life with intention.
