She recently completed the TV pilot SICK and was also recently seen in the film JL RANCH opposite Jon Voight and in KIDS VS. MONSTERS opposite Malcolm McDowell and in LOVE AT FIRST GLANCE opposite Amy Smart. In her extensive career, this acclaimed actress has earned numerous film, television and stage credits, including her role as “Louise St. Laurent” on the international TV series DUE SOUTH and as the sultry step-mom in the iconic film VALLEY GIRL with Nicholas Cage. What fun and gorgeousness! Time flew with two-time Emmy-nominated actress, Lee Purcell, and, world's collided all over the place. It is a small world, after all. From her runway days at three (I know!), Native American ancestry, multi-generational military mantle, to dancing, singing, regional TVing', Lee went on to best 500 hopefuls, handpicked by Steve McQueen hisself (who mentored Lee in all things life, career & fitness––sweet surprise story there), to co-star with Kirk's son, fairly green, Michael Douglas. Lee later co-starred with Kirk, and they're not her only father/son dynasty co-stars. Not a bad place to start. Follow that teaming with Orson Welles, earning an Emmy nomination alongside Mark Harmon, and then another co-starring with Beau Bridges, and father Lloyd. In fact, Lee had lots of Bridges. Hysterical. Old friends with Jeff and his later girlfriend, Candy Clark, well, there are stories then and now, there, too. There's Malcolm McDowell, Chadwick Bostwick, Jon Voight, a brand spanking new, Nicolas Cage, in Valley Girl (his first feature film), and that's barely scratching the Lee Hollywood leading men, surface. The most guest-starring roles on Murder She Wrote, and loads of other TV appearances, cross-genres. We talked fabulous friends, Donny Most, Anson Williams, Geri Jewell, Roslyn Kind, Joey Travolta, and his important inclusion film, Carol of the Bells, and the wondrous Donna Pescow––how we connected, and how those soul sisters found each other and just knew. What a delightful, easy, breezy sit down with this stunning, age-defying beauty, who managed to manifest her dreams and continues to do so. Looking forward to her upcoming, Chocolate Is Not Better Than Sex. You're telling me. In sync with Autism Awareness Month (April) and Day (April 2nd), listen to this inspiring conversation about How Autism Influencer and Animator Dani Bowman builds Brand Buzz through Word-of-Mouth Marketing with 8-Second Branding Podcast Host and Goody PR Founder Liz H Kelly. Dani's goal is to be the Temple Grandin “role model” of her generation by breaking barriers and encouraging others. She started her DaniMation Entertainment company at age 14, and is now working on a PhD. Through social media, Bowman openly shares her life with fans, and often gets 200-400 likes on Facebook posts. Dani also promotes her brand by actively participating in industry events, public speaking, receiving awards, having partnerships, and premiering nine animated short films at San Diego Comic-Con International over the past seven years. As a social entrepreneur, her goal is to reduce the “grim” autism unemployment numbers (90% are unemployed or under-employed, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics) by empowering youth with animation skills through her classes and jobs. Dani's taught 2000+ youth on the autism spectrum and other abilities how to do animation at Joey Travolta's Inclusion Films summer boot camps and DaniMation Entertainment classes (and taught one-on-one classes during the pandemic, that will continue.) Bowman's work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Animation World Network, OC Weekly, BBC Spotlight Evening News (DaniMation UK) and more. If you were thinking of the show where a mysterious ghost in a neighborhood bookstore brings together four kids who must work together to free fictional characters from works of literature, you are thinking of the wrong Ghost Writer. In this Ghost Writer, from 1989, a dead 1950's era starlet is stuck in limbo and must enlist the help of a Hollywood beat writer to help her pass onto the other side with plenty of crazy antics along the way. This Ghost Writer couldn't be more opposite than that beloved 90's PBS series, unless that show also starred Joey Travolta (yes, brother of John) as a guy so obsessed with the dead starlet that he carries around her death notice in his wallet, which we're 95% certain it did not. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bmoviebreakdown/support

An exciting episode of BEHIND THE LENS this week thanks to EMMA DECKERS and JOEY TRAVOLTA! Originally scheduled to appear live on #BTLRadioShow, due to academic commitments she was unable to call in live, but EMMA DECKERS graciously agreed to do a prerecorded interview expressly for this show. Listen as Emma talks about her latest films and the craft of acting as an up and comer in the industry. With several films under her belt already, including a lead role in Dakota Gorman's NATURAL DISASTERS, Emma talks about her theatre training, the audition process, balancing work and school (she's working on her degree right now!), stage vs screen, and gaining experience in the producing world as well. Engaging and articulate with a wonderful sense of humor, I think you'll agree when you listen to Emma, the common sense approach and dedication she has to her craft, training, and life comes from her parents and a grounded and supportive upbringing. Can't wait to have Emma back on the show! And then there's JOEY TRAVOLTA. Wow! Many rave about Joey's brother John, but for my money, actor/producer/director Joey is the one who gets my applause. As with Emma, Joey wasn't available to do a live call-in to the show on Monday but connected with me earlier for an exclusive interview talking about his company, INCLUSION FILMS, and their first narrative feature CAROL OF THE BELLS (available on digital and DVD March 3rd). What makes Joey and Inclusion and this film so special and important is that CAROL OF THE BELLS is the first feature film to feature a 70% neuro-diverse cast and crew. Listen as Joey goes in-depth talking about Inclusion Films and its mission of training neuro-diverse/developmentally disabled individuals for careers in filmmaking in every job capacity. And then hear the story of how CAROL OF THE BELLS found its way to Joey and Inclusion and the process of making the film from casting to camera to location to editing to score. http://behindthelensonline.net http://eliasentertainmentnetwork.com

Carol of the Bells (2019) 1h 40min | Drama | 19 October 2019 (USA) A young man with a troubled past seeks out his biological mother. His world is turned upside down upon discovering that she is developmentally disabled. WATCH the TRAILER A crew of 70% individuals with developmental disabilities recently produced Inclusion Films’ first feature length film, Carol of the Bells, directed by Joey Travolta. Fresh from earning the Audience Favorite Feature award at the San Diego International Film Festival in October - Carol of the Bells will release in multiple cities in December. Travolta teaches filmmaking to individuals with developmental disabilities at 6 partner studios across California via Inclusion Films. Carol of the Bells was produced in association with Futures Explored, Inc. and Options for All. “Carol of the Bells” was the world's first feature film production, where up to 70% of the crew had a developmental disability. Under the network and resources of Inclusion Films, this film was made within two weeks in Bakersfield, California. Synopsis: A young father battles his past to find peace with his wife and son. Scott Johnson has always struggled with his secret adoption, and his life-changing moment as a child at Christmas time. Now, Scott has the answer to his greatest fear. Can he take the final step to bridge the truth about his first family and heal his wounds? Director/Producer Joey Travolta shared “Carol of the Bells is a beautiful story by itself, but the way it was made is even more beautiful. Working with a crew where 70% are developmentally different offers insight into just how much they bring to the table when offered the opportunity. Having the opportunity is the key. Inclusion Films has a mission of inclusion - to train people with different abilities in the art of filmmaking. The soft skills learned in the training program can then be applied to other jobs and all aspects of their life.” When asked what drives his passion for inclusion, Travolta shared “My father raised us in an environment of inclusivity. Family was important, kindness was important, everyone was equal and everyone was welcome. That’s what first led me to being a special education educator. Partnering that passion for equality with filmmaking has become my life’s work. I want everyone to have that sense of belonging when they are trained by us, come to our camps or work with us on a film. That sense of belonging brought out the best in everyone - and allowed for an environment for this talented diverse team to create an award winning feature film. No small feat. I’m looking forward to sharing their work on Carol of the Bells and helping to create a shift in employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.”

What year is it? Did we transport to 1984? In this episode of Miami Vice we have two cases of Deja Vu. First, this is the final episode for the evil Frank Mosca & he definitely gets what he deserves. Yes, we’re excited we actually get closure to the story. But, this episode is almost a mirror image of “Give a Little, Take a Little” from season 1. Yet, we have a ton of fun with this episode that tackles a very serious topic. Dominic is impressed with the use of a forklift as a torture device. John is seriously concerned for the spaghetti factory now that both Cook and Mosca are gone. Melissa has some strong words for the Vice teams judgy-faces. Plus we all learn about the show we desperately want to revive that includes Frank Stallone, Don Swayze and Joey Travolta.
