Welcome to the Podcast of Southwest Bible Fellowship in Tempe, Arizona. WHO ARE WE? • We are a group of people who are committed to living the grace life as set forth by the apostle of the Gentiles, the Apostle Paul. • We come together to study our Bibles, and yes, we believe we have God's perfect Word in the King James Bible. It and it alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice! • We do not come together and study our Bibles for the intent of being smarter than others. We understand that knowledge for the sake of knowledge is purely vain and serves no Godly purpose. • We do come together and study our Bibles for the intent of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:10) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that we have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. (Galatians 2:20) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that because Jesus Christ shed His blood for us and we should not live for ourselves but for Him, who died for us and rose again. (2 Cor. 5:15) • We do not claim to have attained to these lofty goals, but we press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14) You can donate to this ministry through www.butnow.org and the PayPal button on the homepage.

Seven Ways to Know You're in the Will of God • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Seven Ways to Know You're in the Will of God (And How You Know When You're Not) Let me tell you something up front: The will of God is not a mystery! Religion paints this picture like God is hiding His will from you, and you've got to stumble around in the dark hoping you trip into it. No! God's will is clear, God's will is knowable, and God's will brings you into blessing and kingdom advancement. If you're not in the will of God, you're wasting time, spinning your wheels, and giving the devil a foothold in your life. But when you're in His will, you don't just survive—you multiply, you advance, and you shake the nations for Christ. 1. Peace in Your Spirit Scripture: “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.” — Colossians 3:15 (NKJV) 2. Confirmation by the Word of God Scripture: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (NKJV) 3. Fruitfulness and Multiplication Scripture: “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?” — Matthew 7:16 (NKJV) 4. Open Doors by God's Hand Scripture: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” — Revelation 3:8 (NKJV) 5. The Witness of the Holy Spirit Scripture: “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” — Romans 8:16 (NKJV) 6. Provision in the Assignment Scripture: “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) 7. Advancing the Kingdom of God Scripture: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) How You Know You're NOT in the Will of God Let me hit this quickly and clearly. The Bible shows us markers of being outside His will: 1. Confusion and unrest. “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.” — 1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV) 2. Compromise against Scripture. “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you… let him be accursed.” — Galatians 1:8 (NKJV) 3. Lack of fruit. “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered.” — John 15:6 (NKJV) 4. Constant striving with no breakthrough. “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) 5. Ignoring conviction. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” — Ephesians 4:30 (NKJV) 6. Living in lack. “You have sown much, and bring in little… he who earns wages, earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” — Haggai 1:6 (NKJV) 7. Self-glory instead of God's glory. “I am the Lord, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another.” — Isaiah 42:8 (NKJV) Conclusion Friend, the will of God is not something you have to stumble into—it's something you step into by faith and obedience. When you're in His will, peace rules your heart, doors open, fruit multiplies, provision flows, and the Kingdom advances. When you're out of it, confusion reigns, doors slam shut, provision dries up, and your life feels like pushing a boulder uphill. Make up your mind tonight: I will live in the center of God's will. I will not be distracted. I will not compromise. I will not settle. Because when you're in His will—you're unstoppable. CCLI: 21943673

Growing In God Podcast Title: The Bread We Know Not Of   Web Description: Is it really possible to run without getting tired or to walk without becoming weary? That is not our normal experience, but it is God's. He is never weary or tired, and He promises to give us His strength if we wait on Him. Christ knew how to do this. The food that sustained Him was in His connection to the Father, and we are connected to the Father through Him. Isn't it time for us to learn how to draw from Him?   Show Notes: Isaiah 40 contains a familiar passage about waiting on the Lord. This passage tells us that when we wait for the Lord, we gain new strength. God wants us to have a new strength that is beyond any strength we have ever known because it is His strength. Unlike our strength, His strength never dissipates. Whereas the strongest and most vigorous human will grow weary, God never gets tired. He does not need to rest or eat because He always has energy. And this is the energy He has promised us if we wait on Him.   As humans we get our energy from food. But Yeshua (Jesus) told His disciples that He had food to eat that they did not know of. There is a spiritual food that He knew how to partake of. He knew how to connect with the Father's unlimited energy. In His weariness in the flesh as a human being, Yeshua reached into God the Father and was energized without eating natural food. Unfortunately, we do not know of this food, but we are supposed to learn about it. We are supposed to learn how to wait on the Lord and connect with the energy that God provides.   If we are not drawing this energy, then have we really learned how to wait on the Lord? Let us set aside any passivity or conditioning we might have and put the force of our faith behind what God has said in His Word is ours. Let us learn to walk in the spirit as Christ did and wait on the Spirit of God until He dwells within us. According to the Word, if the power of the Father that raised Christ from the dead dwells within us, our mortal bodies will be energized. We will run and not get tired. We will walk and not become weary. Let us reach into it. Let us learn to wait on the Lord.   Key Verses:   •       Isaiah 40:28–31. “Those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength.” •       John 4:31–34. “I have food to eat that you do not know about.” •       John 3:3–5. “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” •       Galatians 5:25. “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.” •       Romans 8:10–11. “He … will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”   Quotes:   •       “If we are really tuning into His strength, then it becomes evident to us that it is His strength. Why? Because it doesn't dissipate. His strength doesn't grow weary. He doesn't lack. He doesn't grow tired. All of these aspects of God's energy are extremely different than the human energy that we are used to.” •       “We have to be born into another world, into another relationship with the Father. That's different than just relating to Him at arms distance from this material world that we live in.” •       “I know I live physically by the food I eat. But is there a life that can come to me, and even come to my flesh, that comes through this relationship with Christ and having the Father—the Spirit of the Father—dwell within me?”   Takeaways:   1.    After many years of reading the Scriptures, we tend to become conditioned in our response to God's Word. And we might not put the emphasis and force of faith we need to behind experiencing what God is speaking to us. 2.    God promises in His Word that if we wait on Him, we will renew our strength. How real is that in our lives? Are we drawing on His power daily for a strength that never dissipates? Or is our strength continually dissipating because we look to our human flesh for our enabling? 3.    Physically we gain energy and sustain our strength through food. But Yeshua said He had food that was not known about on the physical level. He was energized and strengthened by His connection to the Father. Because Christ reconciled us to the Father, we can learn to draw that energy, strength, and life to our physical bodies.

Asking for a Friend – Week 3 How do I grow as a follower of Christ? This week, Pastor Shannon tackles one of the most common questions Christians ask: What does it really mean to grow as a disciple? Through John 16, Acts 2, and Galatians 5, we see that growth doesn't happen by trying harder—it happens by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual growth comes when we prayerfully expect the Spirit to move in every part of our lives. We also introduce 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, an opportunity for our church family to create space for God to work in powerful ways.

Today's Political and Religious Climates Harden Hearts of Many “Believers” Who Turn Away from God - Jesus Followers Are to and Can Help Those with Hardening Hearts MESSAGE SUMMARY: No matter the hardness of a person's heart, who has walked away from God, they will respond to your initiatives that are based on your love and trust. However, so many of us Christians are so focused on doing their religious or spiritual things and keeping to their “busy” schedules that they do not have time to love and care for the needs of other – physical and/or spiritual. Is there anything you can do for someone with a calloused heart or who has walked away from God because they were not discipled? Yes, you must start by praying for them – asking God to move in their lives; asking God to intervene in their life situations; asking God to break up the hardness of their heart. Also, you must build a better personal relationship, with this person, through your trust and caring love. In Mathew 18:12-13, Jesus presents God's perspective regarding the pursuit of even one person that has walked away: “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish."   TODAY'S PRAYER: Father, to you I acknowledge that I don't want to go the way of powerlessness and humility. Like Peter, I want to know what you are doing with those around me. I love you. Help me to trust you with this day, with tomorrow, and with my whole life. In Jesus' name, amen.        Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 92). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Compulsions. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Patience. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). We gathered to reflect on faith, love, and the biblical meaning of the Covenant of Salt, exploring its symbolism in both the Old and New Testaments. Together, we considered how salt represents preservation, purity, and enduring grace, pointing us to the transforming power of God's love. The discussion emphasized the need to walk in faith expressed through love, to rely on grace rather than the flesh, and to maintain spiritual health through humility, truth, and purity. We concluded by recognizing that grace is God's abundant gift, empowering us both personally and as a community to live faithfully in His covenant.

We gathered to study fellowship, love, and spiritual growth through Galatians and 1 John. We reflected on how true fellowship is Christ-centered, requiring us to lay aside personal agendas and embrace self-sacrificial love. Using the story of Mary and Martha, we considered how humility, sitting at Jesus' feet, and receiving His life represent the heart of genuine fellowship. We examined the dangers of serving with personal motives, recognizing that such distractions hinder intimacy with Christ and disrupt unity in the local assembly. God's Word was seen as precise, convicting, and protective—sharper than any reasoning of man. We concluded that teachability, submission to proper teaching, and prayer are essential to avoid pseudo-service and to experience real fellowship in Christ.

We gathered in prayer and shared on biblical principles of restoration, unity, and burden-bearing within the body of Christ. We reflected on Galatians 6:2, considering how humility and submission allow us to bear one another's burdens and fulfill the law of Christ. Together we explored how spiritual growth and intimacy flow from right order—our relationship with God, then marriage, then the local assembly. The conversation also touched on Daniel's faith as an example of humility and dependence, showing how God's sovereignty works in the midst of human limitations. We emphasized that restoration is both personal and corporate, requiring us to be teachable, willing to receive comfort from others, and committed to walking in the Spirit. We concluded with prayer requests, reflections on sanctification as an ongoing process, and plans for fellowship, including an upcoming men's trip.

In this episode, Zach and Michael trace the stunning promises God gave to Abraham—land, offspring, and blessing to the nations—and how they stretch all the way to Jesus Christ. From Genesis 12 to Galatians 3, we unpack how God's unilateral covenant, formalized through land grants and sealed with circumcision, finds ultimate fulfillment in the gospel. Send us a textGalatians 4Before Jesus, the Galatians were like children under guardians, enslaved to the world's principles. But when the time was right, God sent His Son to redeem them so they could be adopted as His children. Because they are His children, He has given them the Spirit, allowing them to call Him “Abba, Father.” Paul warns them not to return to bondage under the Law, reminding them of their initial joy in the gospel. He expresses deep concern for them, longing for Christ to be fully formed in them. Using the story of Sarah and Hagar, Paul illustrates the difference between living under God's promise versus slavery to the Law. He urges them to embrace their identity as children of the free woman and to live in the freedom of Christ. We are deeply indebted to God for all He has done to redeem us from our sins. He sent Jesus through a woman, born under the Law, to redeem mankind from the burden of justification through law-keeping. He poured the Spirit of His Son into our hearts to help us call out to our Father. The grace of God frees us, adopted and cherished as His children. It would be foolish to forsake liberty in our Savior for the bondage of life without Him. This occurs when we act in pride by trying to justify our claim to be with God through our adherence to any law separate from Christ. The result is bondage. We must choose freedom under Christ's covenant.   Faithful God, thank You for adopting us as Your children through Christ. Help us to live in the freedom You have given us and not return to anything that enslaves us, especially our pride and self-justification. Fill our hearts with Your Spirit so that we may know You as our loving Father. Guard us from anything that pulls us away from the truth of the gospel. Strengthen our faith, and let Christ be fully formed in us. Teach us to embrace our identity as heirs of Your promise and to walk in the joy and freedom of Your grace. Thought Questions: -       Are you living joyously in freedom as God's child, or do you get distraught by your own imperfect law-keeping? Are you a saved child of God? -       Sadly, false religious teachers turned some Christians against Paul. Why does this still happen today, and how do we avoid such sinfulness? -       You live under the new law of freedom in Jesus Christ. What does that mean to you, and how does it motivate you to obey Him with gratitude?

He would either be a lunatic-on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg-or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. — Galatians 2:11 After his formative, life-changing encounter with Cornelius the centurion, Peter and others led the early church in understanding God's grace for all people (see Acts 10-11, 15). Later, however, Peter tended to favor Jesus' Jewish followers, while Paul continued working for the Lord as a missionary to Gentiles (Acts 9, 13-14, 16-28). Though Peter believed that Jesus' love was for all people, he sometimes slipped back into ethnic prejudices, avoiding eating with Gentiles for fear of offending Jewish believers. In Antioch, Paul confronted Peter (Cephas) as a hypocrite for separating himself from Gentiles. Though Paul's response may have been excessive, we can thank God that Paul did not go along with twisting Jesus' gospel of love and unity. And, sadly, again we see Peter, “a pillar” of the early church, showing weakness in the face of peer pressure from Jewish hardliners. Yet Peter didn't completely collapse here. From his later teaching we can tell that he accepted Paul's reprimand and moved on without holding a grudge. In a letter to Christians in Galatia and other parts of Asia Minor (present-day Turkey), Peter describes Paul as “our dear brother,” who had also written to them “with the wisdom that God gave him” (2 Peter 3:15). Like Peter, we can expect to fail at times. As we grow in becoming disciples, though, we can also, like Peter, humbly accept correction and continue to follow Jesus. Lord, by your grace, may we continue to follow and serve you. Amen.

Pastor Micah Stephens delivers a convicting message from 1 Corinthians 10, urging believers to navigate Christian liberty with discernment in a pagan culture akin to modern California. Drawing from the church's anchored reading program, he contrasts Rome's theological legalism with Corinth's moral struggles, using the example of eating meat offered to idols to illustrate the tension between what's permissible and what's edifying. Stephens shares a personal anecdote about his six young children testing boundaries, likening it to Christians flirting with sin's edge, and challenges the congregation to prioritize glorifying God and building others up over selfish desires. His closing prayer seeks conviction and humility, aligning with Godspeak's mission to apply biblical truth amidst cultural challenges like AB 495, which he references as a threat to parental rights.Reference VersesRomans 15 verse 1, Romans 16 verses 17–18, 1 Corinthians 10 verses 20–21, 1 Corinthians 10 verses 23–33, 1 Corinthians 11 verse 1, Romans 8 verse 1, James 2 verses 14–26, Romans 5 verse 20, Romans 6 verse 1, Hebrews 10 verse 25, Galatians 5 verse 13, 1 Corinthians 8 verse 7, Deuteronomy 14 verse 26, Psalm 127 verses 3–5Make sure you subscribe to this channel and follow us on all our platforms to always stay up to date with our latest content! And you can always head over to our website for any general information! https://godspeak.comPrayer/NeedsIf you have any needs, or have a willingness to be used to meet various need in the body, please email info@godspeak.com.
