“Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.” (Galatians 6:1 NLT) After observing the behavior of some believers, you’d think that they have a verse in their Bibles that says, “Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, go and tell as many people as possible. And then set about trying to drive that person away from the faith.” But that’s not what Scripture tells us to do. Jesus addressed the topic in Matthew 18:15–20. If a fellow believer appears to have fallen into sin, our first responsibility is to approach the person in a spirit of love and say, “I heard that you __________. Is that true?” If the person confesses and repents, the matter is settled. Unfortunately, that’s not what usually happens. Instead of confronting the person directly, people whisper behind the person’s back. They spread rumors. And many times, they end up slandering an innocent person. If you’ve ever had that happen to you, you know how painful and destructive it can be. But that’s not the end of the damage. The apostle Paul warned in Galatians 5:9 that a little yeast spreads through a whole batch of dough. In the context of a person suspected of falling into sin, the point is that the fallout from mishandling the situation doesn’t stay isolated between the two people involved. Instead, it works its way through the entire body of believers as people take sides. So dealing in gossip and slander isn’t just cruel, it’s also self-defeating. In 1 Corinthians 12:12, the apostle Paul wrote, “The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ” (NLT). And in verse 26, he reminded believers what this means: “If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad” (NLT). We have a vested interest in the spiritual and emotional well-being of our fellow believers. If one person is damaged by innuendo, gossip, or slander, everyone suffers. If you’re faced with confronting someone suspected of falling into sin, there are a few things to keep in mind. The spirit in which you approach the person is key. In Galatians 6:1, Paul emphasizes the importance of gentleness and humility. “Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself” (NLT). And instead of getting caught up in sordid details, keep your eye on what’s really happening. Remember that the devil wants to turn believers against each other. He’ll attack us from the outside, but many times, when that doesn’t work, he’ll try to infiltrate our ranks and divide us. Jesus said, “Love one another” (John 13:34 NIV). With that love comes responsibility. And sometimes that means stepping out of your comfort zone. But if you love someone enough to seek the truth and confront, when necessary, you will strengthen not only the bond between the two of you, but also the entire body of Christ. Why do we suffer? You and I have lived long enough to see and experience suffering. It comes to us all. Suffering is no respecter of persons. There is coming a day when all suffering will cease. When we are in the eternal presence of our God. He will wipe away all tears. But for now, suffering is a part of our human existence. Main Points:1. Suffering exists for several reasons. The first of which is that we live in a fallen world that is corrupted by sin. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden, sin entered the world and that started all of the pollution, chaos, and downgrading that's been taking place ever since.2. Sometimes suffering is caused by our own sins and mistakes. Occasionally, suffering is the work of Satan. Other times, though we don't like to admit it, suffering occurs because of the will of God.3. We must understand that God knew the trials were coming into our lives. He allowed them for His purpose. He is using them to teach us. He is drawing us close. He is deepening our faith and character. He is preparing us for something eternal.Today's Scripture Verses:1 Peter 5:10 - “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”Galatians 6:7 "Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”1 Peter 5:8 "Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him. Stand firm in the faith because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering.”1 Peter 4:19 - “So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”2 Corinthians 4:18 - “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group

Are the Ten Commandments, God's Law which He Gave to Us, Becoming Irrelevant for America? MESSAGE SUMMARY: Today, are we saying that the Ten Commandments are irrelevant for America? Are the Ten Commandments becoming illegal in America? If so, why? As a nation, we no longer teach or practice the Ten Commandments. We have made it illegal to post the Ten Commandments, which are God's Law to us, on most walls of our courts and government schools. From a spiritual perspective, how can God, the Creator of the Universe, bless a nation which mocks and/or ignores Him? Paul, in Galatians 6:6-7, cautions both us and our governments regarding the mocking of God: “Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”. From a practical perspective, how can a society and a government function when their foundation has been removed? Our form of government was founded on the ethical base of the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments were in the thoughts and cultural norms of the people that created our country. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, everything in me resists following you into the garden of Gethsemane to fall on my face to the ground before you. Grant me the courage to follow you all the way to the cross, whatever that might mean for my life. And then, by your grace, lead me to resurrection life and power. In Jesus' name, amen. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). Galatians 2:1-7a, 8b, 10 - [Paul wrote:] “Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along with me. I went up because of a revelation and set before them (though privately before those who seemed influential) the Gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles, in order to make sure I was not running or had not run in vain. But even Titus, who was with me, was not forced to be circumcised, though he was a Greek. Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the Gospel might be preserved for you. And from those who seemed to be influential (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)—those, I say, who seemed influential added nothing to me. On the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the Gospel … to the Gentiles … and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the [Jews]. Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.”

Galatians, Grace, and Gospel: Paul's Passion and Our Freedom In this episode of the Exploring More Podcast, Michael Thompson and SJ Jennings open a brand-new journey through the book of Galatians. With passion and insight, they explore Paul's missionary travels, his dramatic transformation from Pharisee to apostle, and the cultural tension between Jewish and Gentile believers in the early church. This episode lays the foundation for the Galatians series—a deep dive into one of Paul's most emotional and urgent letters. Michael and SJ unpack themes of identity, freedom, grace, and spiritual warfare, and examine how Paul's personal encounters with the resurrected Christ shaped his bold message of salvation by grace, not by works. Alongside historical and theological context, the conversation gets personal: What are we adding to the gospel? Where are we still performing for acceptance? Through honest reflection and practical application, the hosts invite listeners to confront performance-based faith and embrace grace as the empowering presence of God. Whether you're listening alone or with a small group, this series invites you into the heart of the gospel—a life of freedom, identity, and unshakable belonging in Christ. We hope you enjoy this episode and invite you to connect with us!
Galatians 1:15-17But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, 16 was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone; 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
Join the Torah Teachers, Ray Harrison, Pete Rambo, and Mark Call as they continue the study of the 'most twisted Book in the Bible,' the apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians. There is no doubt that much of what he wrote about, even warned about, has literally been "turned on its head." And this week, they explore what may be the most twisted CHAPTERS in the Book as well, 3 and 4. All three of them recommend Avi ben Mordechai's excellent book, "Galatians: Torah-Basd Commentary in First Century Hebraic Context." Pete Rambo also referenced a video that he did a while back related to the topic, "Who Are the Modern Pharisees," https://youtu.be/CsfeBfhxW5s
Here in Galatians, Paul tells us that “the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ.” The interesting Greek word he uses to describe the role of the law is _paidagogos. _ And while it's often translated as “schoolmaster,” “tutor” or “guardian,” another good word to describe it is “nanny.” That's because the role of the law is temporary. Just like a child's nanny, it serves an important role until that role is no longer needed. Wait until you hear the wonderful reason why!

Send us a textBut the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23You can't Learn fruit. Fruit is the Byproduct of who we are. On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.In the same way a Levite also came there, went over and looked at the man, and then walked on by on the other side. “Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. Luke 10:25-33I can Keep My Distance I can be Curious but Uncaring I can Show Kindness 1. Luke 10:33Stop asking: What's wrong with them?Ask: What Happened to them? 3. I must seize the Moment to help. Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Luke 10:34I must be willing to Be Interrupted. I have to be willing to Face my fears. 4. I must spend whatever it takes. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I'll pay you the next time I'm here.' “What do you think? Which of the three became a neighbor to the man attacked by robbers?” “The one who treated him kindly,” the religion scholar responded. Following Jesus isn’t a one-time declaration—it’s a daily act of courage. In this powerful devotional, Heidi Vegh reminds us that discipleship is built in the quiet choices, the small sacrifices, and the surrendered moments where we say “yes” to Christ and “no” to our flesh. Whether you're facing conflict, battling pride, or resisting worldly pressures, this prayer equips you to walk boldly and consistently in God's truth.
In today's Spiritual Foundation Episode, I talk about Galatians 3: 23-29. I share how the big picture is vital but can be overwhelming. I also talk about how our journey to Christlike often starts with the small things. Show Notes and Resources.

God Blesses You in Your Obedience, but God Leaves You to the Consequences of Your Sin in Your Disobedience MESSAGE SUMMARY: Your relationship with God is only between you and God. God desires relationships with each of us, individually, even though you may have been fortunate enough to have a Godly mother, father, siblings, and/or a spouse. God has given us covenants upon which to build His relationship with you, as Paul tells us in Romans 8:34-35: “Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?". The people of the Old Testament found that living apart from God's covenant relationship brought disaster. God is a covenant God; He will bless you if you obey Him. If you disobey God, God leaves you to the consequences of your sins. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, you know how difficult it is for me to be in silence before you. At times it feels almost impossible, given the demands, distractions, and noise all around me. I invite you to lead me to a quiet, silent place before you — to a place where I can hear you as Elijah did. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 24th of June, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Book of Galatians 3:1: “O foolish Galatians!” (Oh foolish John! Oh foolish Mary! Oh foolish Jenny! Oh foolish Matthew!) We go down then to verse 2: “This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?”Yes, what we are asking ourselves is a question. We started this race in the Spirit, remember Jesus saved us. Remember, we were falling apart, we had come to the end, we couldn't go on anymore. We cried out to God, and He saved us. Now He has restored us! Have we now forgotten where we came from? Sometimes it is good to look back and remind yourself that if it wasn't for the Lord, I would be lost indeed. Don't try and finish the job that you started in the Spirit by doing it in your own strength. That is what the Lord is saying. That is why that hymn that is so popular, Amazing Grace - that's what it's all about. John Newton found the Lord. Remember how it went?“Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; I was blind, but now I see.”You were blind, you called out to God, He saved you, He saved me. Now that we can see, let us not go back to where we came from.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.

Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com Here are the key themes and teachings: 1. God's Impartiality as a Model: The Bible frequently states that God shows no favoritism or partiality. This is a foundational aspect of His character and justice. Deuteronomy 10:17: "For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes." Romans 2:11: "For God does not show favoritism." Acts 10:34-35: Peter, recognizing a significant theological truth, declared, "Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him." Because God is impartial, His judgment is fair and applies to everyone equally, regardless of their background, status, or identity. 2. Condemnation of Favoritism and Partiality: The Bible explicitly condemns showing partiality, particularly based on wealth, social status, or outward appearance. James 2:1-4: This passage is a strong rebuke against favoritism within the church, illustrating the sin of giving preferential treatment to the rich over the poor. It states, "My brothers, as you hold out your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, do not show favoritism. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, 'You sit here in a good place,' while you say to the poor man, 'You stand over there,' or, 'Sit down at my feet,' have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?" James 2:9: "But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers." This verse elevates favoritism to the level of sin. Leviticus 19:15: "You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor." This Old Testament law highlights the importance of fairness in judgment. Proverbs 24:23: "These also are sayings of the wise: To show partiality in judgment is not good." 3. Call to Impartiality and Love for All: Believers are called to emulate God's impartiality in all their dealings. 1 Timothy 5:21: Paul charges Timothy, a church leader, "I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing out of partiality." Galatians 3:28: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." This verse emphasizes the unity and equality of all believers in Christ, transcending social and cultural distinctions. Matthew 7:1-3: While not using the word "bias" directly, Jesus warns against being a critic "full of bias toward others," emphasizing that we will be judged by the same standard we use for others. Love your neighbor: The "royal law" (James 2:8) to "love your neighbor as yourself" implicitly demands impartiality, as it means treating others with the same care and respect you desire for yourself, regardless of who they are. In essence, the Bible views bias, partiality, and favoritism as contrary to God's righteous character and a hinderance to justice, love, and unity among people. It calls believers to strive for impartiality, treating all individuals with fairness, dignity, and love, reflecting the nature of God. mind like water-when you drop a pebble, stone or a boulder into a lake lt always responds appropriately.
Galatians 3 is Paul's bold rebuke to any religion that adds effort to grace—and that includes modern Mormonism. In this episode, we unpack Paul's powerful message that salvation doesn't come through priesthoods, ordinances, or performance—but by faith alone. From Abraham to the cross to the new covenant, God's promise has always been simple: Trust in Jesus, and you belong. Mormonism complicates what God made clear. This chapter shows why that matters.--The Unveiling Mormonism podcast pulls back the curtain on Mormon history, culture and doctrine. Join us for new episodes every Monday. Tucker Carlson and Senator Ted Cruz recently reignited a centuries-old theological debate: Should Christians automatically support the modern nation of Israel? In this thought-provoking episode, Joel Settecase dives deep into the Scriptures—Genesis, Romans, Galatians—to dissect whether the Bible actually teaches unconditional support for the state of Israel. What does it mean to be a descendant of Abraham? Has the land promise already been fulfilled? And how should Christians view the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in light of the Gospel? This is not just a political episode—it's a biblical one. Whether you're pro-Israel, skeptical, or just want biblical clarity, this episode will challenge and sharpen your understanding.
Are you living as a slave or as a child of God? You are not an employee in God's kingdom. You are not hired help trying to keep your spot. You are His child. This message from Pastor Juan Sanchez is a bold and beautiful reminder that the law was never meant to be a finish line — it was always a signpost pointing us to Jesus. Straight from Galatians, we are reminded that we don't earn our way in, we are invited in. Not because we got it all right, but because Jesus already did. If you've been carrying pressure, performance, or the weight of wondering if you belong, this sermon will breathe life into your soul. Pastor Juan shares personal stories, spiritual truth, and the kind of clarity that sets hearts free. God is not looking for perfect servants. He is calling His sons and daughters home. Imagine investing everything into someone's freedom, only to watch them willingly return to what enslaves. That's the angst and heartbreak we discover in Galatians 5:1-15. Are you truly living in the radical freedom Jesus brings, or are you subtly allowing old patterns, or even new teachings, to drag you back into slavery?
