LEARN ABOUT THE FREQUENCY PROJECT HEREAre you ready to market yourself in a way that actually feels good?In this episode, we're diving deep into Human Design profiles—specifically, how your profile archetype shapes the way you connect, influence, and attract your audience. Your profile lines are your natural way of showing up, and when you align your marketing with them, everything starts to feel more effortless (and more magnetic). We'll break down the twelve profile archetypes and how each one brings a unique energy to branding and business. You'll learn how the 1-3 Explorer blends deep research with trial-and-error storytelling to create trust, why the 2-4 Ingenue thrives on natural talent and intimate connections, and how profiles like the Matriarch and the Exemplar can use their gifts to lead and inspire. This isn't about forcing yourself into another marketing strategy that doesn't fit. It's about recognizing your natural strengths and using them to build an aligned, thriving brand. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your message, this episode will help you ditch the guesswork and market in a way that feels like YOU.Hit play now! SORRY, CHARLIE (Miracle Media) is another film in which an actor spends most of the running time on her own, talking to people on a phone. Can this film do enough to stand out from the rest? Check out our review! YOU CAN'T RUN FOREVER (Signature Entertainment) finds the always excellent J K Simmons as a psychotic killer hunting down a traumatised teen...   Our Short Shot is LACKADAISY: INGENUE - this is the latest animated short about a gang of bootleggers in the  Prohibition era. Zibby speaks to Paris-based author Rachel Kapelke-Dale about The Ingenue, an exhilarating new suspense novel about a former piano prodigy who returns to her hometown for her mother's funeral and discovers her massive family estate will be given to someone else. Rachel talks about her journey to becoming a writer, from Brown University to a Ph.D. in London to life in Paris, and the themes she enjoyed exploring in her book–mother-daughter relationships, real estate, and the darkness in her protagonist. She also talks about her earlier book, The Ballerinas (inspired by her own career in ballet and, of course, Judy Blume), and the book she is working on now (hint: it's a Yale equestrian mystery). Some of her fondest childhood memories involve long afternoons at the library and then reading late into the night. More than ten years ago, she began journaling about the books she read and turned that passion into writing about books. Her first forays were as a guest reviewer on a friend's blog, but she soon realized she wanted to be reviewing and talking about books on a blog of her own. From there, Novel Visits was born. That was in 2016 and, though the learning curve was steep, she loves being a part of the book community. Novel Visits focuses on new novel reviews (print and audio), previews of upcoming releases, and musings on all things bookish.

Sophie B. Hawkins dominated the airwaves with her 1992 debut single, “Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover,” a song with homoerotic overtones that were rare in mainstream pop at the time. If they went unnoticed by many listeners, she fought nearly every step of the way to express her progressive views and maintain her independence at her label, and struggled to find her place in the LGBTQ community. Meanwhile, k.d. lang's 1992 hit “Constant Craving” and her album Ingenue ushered her out of Nashville and into the Top 40 spotlight. After she came out, picketers protested her Grammy nominations, but her star quickly rose, with Vanity Fair tapping her for one of its most memorable, provocative covers and cementing her status as a sex symbol and a queer icon. In this episode, we explore how the two artists navigated the music industry and their sexual orientations as they were thrust into the public eye. With special guest Sophie B. Where are all the Canadians, eh?If you take a close look at the Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums list you'll see a bunch of Canadians - The Band, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, etc. - who have one thing in common: they spent a huge portion of their careers in the United States. It does seem like Rolling Stone has a bit of a *gasp* American bias.Well, the good folks at Record Roulette would like to help Rolling Stone correct this bias, so we've picked three albums from Canadian artists that have a serious claim to the list and debated which one is best. Eamon O'Flynn chose Gordon Lightfoot's “Sundown,” Sonya Walton chose kd lang's “Ingenue” and Nathan Smith chose Rufus Wainwright's self-titled debut album.Which one should make the list? This week in Deeper Digs in Rock, The Rock N Roll Archaeologist sits down with guest, author Andrew Grant Jackson. In great detail Christian and Andrew discuss his 2015 book, '1965: The Most Revolutionary Year in Music'. Is it really the most revolutionary year in the rock n roll age? We will find out! Fifty years ago, friendly rivalry between musicians turned 1965 into the year rock evolved into the premier art form of its time and accelerated the drive for personal freedom throughout the Western world. The Beatles made their first artistic statement with Rubber Soul. Bob Dylan released "Like a Rolling Stone, arguably the greatest song of all time, and went electric at the Newport Folk Festival. The Rolling Stones's "Satisfaction" catapulted the band to world-wide success. New genres such as funk, psychedelia, folk rock, proto-punk, and baroque pop were born. Soul music became a prime force of desegregation as Motown crossed over from the R&B charts to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Country music reached new heights with Nashville and the Bakersfield sound. Musicians raced to innovate sonically and lyrically against the backdrop of seismic cultural shifts wrought by the Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam, psychedelics, the Pill, long hair for men, and designer Mary Quant’s introduction of the miniskirt. In 1965, Andrew Grant Jackson combines fascinating and often surprising personal stories with a panoramic historical narrative. Andrew Grant Jackson is the author of Still the Greatest: The Essential Songs of the Beatles' Solo Careers and Where's Ringo? He has written for Rolling Stone, Yahoo!, Slate's "Blogging the Beatles," Baseline Studio System, music magazines Burn Lounge, Mean Street, and Dispatch, and copyedited the Hollywood monthly magazine Ingenue. He directed and cowrote the feature film The Discontents starring Perry King and Amy Madigan and served as actor Jeff Bridges's development associate at AsIs Productions. A pairing of styles and passions curated by two well known Chicago artists and performers, Ingénue, as the name implies, brings the melodic innocence of Deep House and the unique sex appeal of Motown R&B together in an effortless wave of genius. Never without a side plot, the two creatives infuse a live show with all original content – mixed, performed and produced on stage. Ingénue caters to one of the fastest growing fan bases in the country…….. those in search of an authentic experience. In the first month of the new year, Ingénue releases the “Winter 2017 Mixtape”……… a 26-track, all original production. With over two hours of new compositions, the artists set the tone for a year of transformative growth and musical development. The foundation of the “2017 Winter Mixtape” album will allow the young talent to expand on their passion and ride the spring into festival season and finally a Fall tour. Pulling on their inspirations, Dylan Hyde Castle and Marc Miller bring their audience into the sexual harmony of meticulously orchestrated house and tropical techno jet streams. Their music has been, and will continue to be, the perfect accompaniment for their already impressive list of peers……. performing along side such notable artists as Moon Boots, Kill Frenzy, Solumun Grey and a long list of well known creatives at their Reaction NYE debut in Chicago. 2017 is set to be the year of continuous movement for Ingénue and all of those along for the journey.

Hosted By: QueensMind and Mowfpeace Featuring:  Aphro Ingenue "Who is Aphro Ingenue?..." Bred in NYC, Aphro grew up with full understanding of the necessity to articulate. Coming up, she was able to do so by journaling, singing into broomstick handles, playing the saxophone and writing short stories/poems with the full backing of her family. As an adult, life circumstances shut down her penchant to speak for herself with her voice in 2003, when it all came back in Fall of 2013. Aphro has joyfully been unable to contain her gratitude for this facet returning since then. To her credit so far, Aphro has participated in a written anthology and a had spot in a local arts magazine; making her a published Author. She has also forayed into spoken word; recording an EP-esque project titled "Who Is Aphro Ingenue?" in Fall 2014. Aphro has also been fortunate to complete four features via Internet radio; this one being her fifth. She is very excited and humbled by it all. As for the future, a book to be released this Winter 2015 is full swing preparation. Aphro's slated debut book will be titled "Soulstice". In addition, she plans to grace physical mics; with eyes on the Universe and feet planted on the ground.
