More than 129 million Amerians live with at least one chronic disease, and millions struggle with chronic pain, fatigue, digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, and other persistent symptoms that remain difficult to explain or treat. For Chronic Disease Awareness Day July 10, USA Today Bestselling author and renowned holistic physician Dr. Bradley Nelson explains: Why Pain and Illness Persists: The Link to Unresolved Emotions Scientists have increasingly documented links between trauma, chronic stress, and long-term health outcomes. Research from the CDC's landmark Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) studies found that childhood trauma is associated with increased risks for numerous chronic health conditions later in life, including heart disease, diabetes, depression, and other serious illnesses. More recent research discovered a pathway between physical pain and emotional suffering. Dr. Nelson, author of the bestselling books “The Emotion Code,” “The Body Code,” and “The Heart Code,” believes unresolved emotional experiences are a missing piece of the chronic illness puzzle. Over almost two decades of clinical experience, he developed methods designed to help people identify and release what he calls “trapped emotions” — emotional energies he believes contribute to physical and emotional distress. “Much of our suffering is due to negative emotional energies that have become ‘trapped' within us,” Dr. Brad says. “The Emotion Code is about finding those old emotions and releasing them forever.” He can discuss topics including: ● What science is discovering about the connection between trauma, stress, and physical and emotional health. ● How emotional experiences can become embedded in the body. ● Why adverse childhood experiences continue to affect health decades later. ● How people with chronic pain and illness can learn to identify and release trapped emotions. ● Help and resources available through DiscoverHealing.com, his company that has trained more than 15,000 healing practitioners worldwide. Dr. Brad has touched the lives of more than 500 million people through over 1,700 media appearances worldwide — including television, radio, podcasts, and live interviews. His simple yet powerful methods help individuals release the emotional energy of trauma, opening the door to improved health, emotional balance, and greater peace of mind. This week's Torah portion offers us a list of forbidden and permissible foods, but Jewish tradition challenges us to look beyond what we eat and ask deeper questions about desire and limits, physical and spiritual hunger, gratitude and abundance, joy and responsibility.Join Rabbi Saltzman as we explore three powerful Torah stories: the forbidden fruit in Eden, manna in the wilderness, and the milk and honey of the Promised Land. Send Audrey a Text to get your question answered on the showLevamisole has become one of the most talked-about adjunct therapies for Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM), but should horse owners and practitioners be asking more questions? In this episode, Audrey McLaughlin, RN, MSN, Board-Certified Traditional Naturopath and equine nutrition practitioner, explores how working in both human and equine health reveals important crossover insights. We discuss why some veterinarians use levamisole for EPM, how it may influence the immune system, the recent European withdrawal of human levamisole products following concerns about inflammatory white matter disease, and what that does—and does not—mean for horses. You'll also learn about Th1 immunity, medicinal herbs like astragalus and andrographis, beta-glucans, and why optimizing nutrition and immune resilience may be just as important as immune stimulation. This episode is a balanced, evidence-informed discussion designed to help horse owners and equine professionals ask better questions about EPM treatment—not to replace veterinary care. Audrey breaks down why topline loss is rarely a protein problem, why sodium and mineral status matter more than most owners realize, and why chronic inflammation can block muscle building no matter what's in the bucket. Learn the real drivers behind a weak topline and what actually needs to change to build it back correctly. In this episode, Dave and Jamison answer these questions: I stayed too long at my first company and now my career is ruined? Hi both, long time listener. (Since I graduated university 4 years ago actually and felt I could never find a job but listening to you guys made me feel not like such an outcast in our field.) I graduated in 2022. Didn't really apply around much and almost immediately accepted the full time offer from the company I did my internship with during my degree. And fast forward to middle of 2026… I am still here. I've long stopped growing as an engineer and have actually been stuck on a simple CLI tool for almost 4 years now with little to no cloud/backend/etcetera experience to show in my 5 year career. I don't feel I am desirable in the job market at all due to this and waited way too long to look for a job because I was comfortable and happy. I feel paralyzed (no need to put on your space therapist hats BUT some career advice would be wonderful!) (Also did I mention I am in Canada and want to move to Europe and live the rest of my life there but visa sponsorship with my level of experience is impossible? Maybe that'll be for my next question…) Thanks for all you do, cheers! I have a non-CS engineering degree, and am looking to transition into Software Engineering. I have the option of pursuing a degree with Tuition Reimbursement from my job, but am in a bit of a strange situation deciding which degree. Basically, I've figured that with my current Engineering background I could pursue either a second Bachelor's degree through Universities offering a “Post-Baccalaureate” program in Computer Science, or a Master's degree, with maybe only a slightly longer program to get the Master's as opposed to the Bachelor's. Otherwise the total length/cost of the programs would be roughly the same. I have heard though that it might not be a great idea to go into a Master's program unless you know what specifically you want to study. I am curious what you think would be more “hire-able” between the two options for someone pursuing the career change into Software Engineering?
For the 1000th time, I sat down and hit record. This is a goal I have worked toward for 10 years. When I launched the podcast on March 15, 2016, my goal was to “feel this out.” I wanted to see if I liked podcasting as a medium for coaching, community building, and exploration. I quickly knew this was going to be my jam. If you don't know the origin story of this show, you might be surprised to learn that this little show that could largely exists as it does today because I was hit with a cease & desist within 48 hours of launching. The way that situation transpired lit a fire underneath me. In that messy moment of panic, I knew that if someone was going to try to take me down, I was taking this show TO THE TOP. The show became a Top 10 show in multiple categories on Apple Podcasts. Today, in a sea of 3.4 million podcasts, our show is ranked in the top 0.5% globally. The show has been downloaded over 7 million times in over 140 countries. It is currently a Top 30 Management show - a category of over 30,000 shows. These numbers are fun for me to see. But the story behind the numbers is so much more impactful. In this episode, I'm sharing the story of the show. From that cease & desist to building an international community of women, to landing on international stages to speak, to Glennon Doyle Zoom bombing our membership community, to a global shutdown, to failed IVF, PTSD/Anxiety/ADHD diagnoses, rebranding and renaming the show, a Masters Degree, returning to my roots in healthcare, and supporting Fortune 10 companies, this has been a wild ride I could have never predicted. The impact of the show is so much bigger than me. And, that was always the plan. That was the goal. You all showed up and listened. You did the work. You got uncomfortable. You changed your behavior. You made your life better. You modeled to others how to make their lives better. Collectively, we have changed lives. Thousands, if not millions, of lives impacted across 7 million downloads and 5.25 million hours of listening. For my fellow math nerds, that's 600 YEARS of continuous listening. I set out to do this alone. But I am never actually alone. At any given moment, someone somewhere is listening in. In every moment, one of you is with me. We are constantly in this together. And that means everything to me. In this with you. Always. Links Mentioned: Early Bird Enrollment is open for my Aligned Leadership Incubator! The auto industry didn't lose USMCA on July 1st. It lost the assumption that the rules would sit still. The agreement isn't dead. Nobody packed their boxes. But the US declined to renew the deal as written, and it opened what could be a 10-year renegotiation of the trade framework that governs somewhere between 1.6 and 2 trillion dollars a year, with autos at roughly 18% of that. The proposal on the table increases North American content from 75% to 82%, with half of that produced specifically in the US, and 25% tariffs still in place as leverage. In this episode, Jan Griffiths and Tom Roberts bring back QAD trade experts Ian Berman and Joshua Guy to separate what actually changed from what only sounds like it did. The headline reads like an attack on trade with Mexico and Canada. Ian reframes it fast: the real target is China and Mexico, as the bridge suppliers have used to skate on tariffs. If you've been finding loopholes, this is the light being pointed at them.Nothing changes tomorrow. That's the trap. The suppliers who wait for final rules will be doing origin math under deadline pressure that the prepared ones have already finished. Qualifying under the new content thresholds forces every supplier to expose its true bill of materials, and then to know its supplier's supplier's supplier. That's not a sourcing problem first. It's a data problem first.Joshua makes the same case from the trade-zone side. Foreign-Trade Zones won't erase the origin issue, but used well, they're a lever that mitigates duty exposure, with ROI that usually lands inside year one. 2025 was the largest growth year FTZ usage has seen, and DC is staffing up for another record in 2026. Underneath it all, the hosts keep returning to one message: data quality is the survival trait, systems turn that data into decisions fast enough to matter, and agility is the posture, because the volatility isn't a phase to wait out. This episode is a reminder that global trade is not back-office reporting. It is a strategic infrastructure. Leaders who treat it as such gain flexibility, cash flow timing advantages, and margin recovery. Those who do not will absorb the cost and call it unavoidable.Themes Discussed in This EpisodeWhat actually changed on July 1, and what didn'tWhy the new rules target China, with Mexico as the transshipment bridgeRising US-content and regional-value thresholds under revised rules of originOrigin qualification as a data problem before a sourcing problemKnowing your supplier's supplier's supplier across the bill of materialsClean upstream data as a tier-two competitive advantageForeign-Trade Zones as a duty-mitigation lever, not a loophole around originMoving from reactive compliance to proactive planning before the rules are finalFeatured GuestName: Ian BermanTitle: Global Trade and Transportation ExpertAbout: Ian is the Manager of Business Consulting with QAD Supply Chain. This is aimed at China and the Mexican bridge suppliers have used to skate tariffs, not at North American trade itself.[03:57] A Light on the True Bill of Materials: New content thresholds force origin math that exposes what a product is actually made of, and pushes visibility down to the supplier's supplier's supplier.[04:40] Tier Two Data Becomes an Advantage: Josh makes the case that clean, auditable upstream data is what separates the suppliers who survive this from the ones who scramble.[05:19] The Data Sensitivity Problem: Tom names the tension: OEMs want deeper visibility, and tier ones are wary of exposing their supply base and origin data outside their four walls.[09:02] FTZ as a Tool in the Toolbox: Josh explains what Foreign-Trade Zones can and can't do. They won't erase the origin issue, but they mitigate duty exposure in export-heavy flows.[11:06] A Record Year for Foreign-Trade Zones: 2025 was the largest FTZ growth year yet, and the DC board is staffing up for another record in 2026. Awareness of the lever is finally catching up.[13:04] The ROI Is a No-Brainer: Josh walks Tom through the math: most companies recoup FTZ setup and software costs inside year one or two, before the deeper savings even count.[15:50] Rules of Origin, in Plain Terms: Ian breaks down what a rule of origin actually is and why knowing your biggest BOM cost line matters more than any headline percentage.[19:48] Stress-Test the BOM Now: Jan lays out the starting move: run 82% regional and 50% US content against your bill of materials, prioritize the parts, then build the action plan.[22:32] The Monday-Morning Playbook: Ian, Josh, and Tom close on three moves: baseline your data, put systems in place, and stay agile, because the volatility isn't slowing down.Top Quotes[04:15] Ian Berman: “ If you're not doing FTA calculations and origin determinations today, my guess is you'll be doing them tomorrow because that's what's really gonna be tied in if you wanna keep being able to use these aspects.”[12:29] Joshua Guy: “You might not be able to get the full savings that you once might have had, but you can use these different tools available to squeeze out just enough margin to stay competitive.”[22:11] Jan Griffiths: “It's about reducing those decision-making cycle times, being able to grab the situation, grab the ball, and pivot and move with it quickly.”[24:40] Tom Roberts: “You got to have great data, and you got to make some decisions, and it's something you can't leave behind. You can't just kinda wait it out. It's good to get in front of it now.”Follow the Auto Supply Chain Champions Podcast for real conversations with leaders who are making hard choices, focusing their bets, and leading with intent.
Caleb Campbell joins Bob and David to discuss some of the content in his book, Disarming Leviathan: Loving Your Christian Nationalist Neighbor (InterVarsity Press, 2024). Caleb believes that while it's possible to be both a Christian and hold Christian nationalist ideas, Christian nationalism itself is an unchristian worldview, rooted in the desire for power that is irreconcilable with the Christian faith. We recorded the first part of this interview on August 29, 2025. This was before the assassination of one of the leading voices of Christian American Nationalism, Charlie Kirk. In light of that devastating event, we thought we'd table the episode and then revisit with Caleb and get his thoughts. So the first part of this interview is from last year, and the second part is from this year.* Caleb shares his personal story of how people in his congregation became more strident about political issues and how he suffered relational fallout because of it.* What is Leviathan? And why does Caleb think that American Christian Nationalism is “Leviathan”?* Many feel that the actual Leviathan that has gripped the country is liberal progressivism. Is Caleb equally concerned about what's happening with the secularist Left?* Politics seems to always revolve around anxiety and rage. But Christians should know better. We follow Jesus, who constantly told us, “Do not be afraid.” How do we help people move away from being so anxious and angry?* How do we engage with people who have become even more strident in light of the awful assassination of Charlie Kirk?* How is AI imagery creating iconography that creates a heretical syncretism of Christianity and Americana?* In the book, Caleb offers a “Field Guide for Responding to American Christian Nationalists.” The loose structure of our conversations looks like this:1. Clarifying Questions2. Possible Shared Values3. Shibboleths (vs Red Flags)4. Good things to honor, and then5. “Humble Subversion” with the gospel of Jesus Christ.* We reflect on Galatians 6:1-2, “If anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. And like clockwork, your horse comes up three-legged lame with a hot, throbbing foot. You call the vet. You call the farrier. Somebody says wet-dry cycles. Somebody says stone bruise. You soak, you wrap, you wait for it to blow, and everyone moves on until next year. This was an exciting episode sitting down to learn about Travis Burn's role at the Virginia Tech College. He's had a number of different roles at the college there throughout his time teaching there for 16 years. Was also great to learn how he was able to push himself to earn those Masters Degrees, as well as, becoming an FWCF through the Fellowship. Lot's of dedication and priorities to make that happen. Send Audrey a Text to get your question answered on the showToday we're talking about white line disease, and I want to approach this one a little differently than most of what you'll find online, because most of what you'll find online stops about halfway through the actual story. We're going to start at the beginning: what white line disease actually is, how it's typically treated, and why that treatment plan is necessary but often not enough on its own. Then we're going to talk about the piece that almost nobody brings up, which is what's happening on the inside of that horse and why that matters more than any topical treatment you can apply to the outside. Send Audrey a Text to get your question answered on the showToday's topic is the reason terrain gets out of balance in the first place. We're talking about the five biggest mistakes I see on the Minerals and Metals Mane Test, the MMMT, week after week, horse after horse. Here's the belief I want you to walk away questioning today: most horse owners are not making bad decisions. They're making nutrition decisions with incomplete information. There's a real difference between those two things, and once you see these five mistakes laid out, you'll understand why so many "we're doing everything right" horses are still stuck. Without question, Dr. Regina Beard, RN, loves people. As life has dealt her a few daunting obstacles, she hasn't wallowed in them, but instead has made it her mission to be a clarion example of what resilience and determination can achieve. Born in the midwestern community of Gary, IN, Dr. Beard professes that she was a failing student in high school. Yet, she persevered and would become a first-generation college graduate, and the very first in her immediate family to own a business. At the age of 20, Dr. Beard was the mother of two children. Being a young mother came with a lot of responsibility, and she was intent on providing a secure life for her family. Dr. Beard recalls that while she was a freshman at Andrean High School, her teacher, Coach Bob Buscher, gave her an assignment to explore a future career. "I told my dad, and he told me to become the kind of nurse who puts patients to sleep. My dad told me to become a CNA, and then a LPN, and instructed me to follow that with becoming an RN. I was so intrigued that I did the research and called Methodist Northlake, a local hospital, to find out more, and learned the correct title for that kind of nurse is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). It also required a Masters Degree. I would eventually fail Biology and decide that nursing wasn't for me, and give up on that dream." Life would continue to happen for Dr. Beard. In the back of her mind, her dream of becoming a nurse continued to fester, and she would seek new ways to fulfill that dream. "In 2003, I became intentional about my walk with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was a new journey and I was on fire for the Lord. All I wanted was to be in His presence and will. I was going through a fasting series with my church titled "Daring to Dream Again." That journey showed me that I had given up on my God-given dreams. I also realized that my dreams as a person were limited. I wanted more, but didn't know where to start. My new journey provided the tools to deepen my walk with Christ, and I began to utilize principles in the Bible to transform my life. I prayed to God about what He wanted me to do, and soon had a dream about going into the nursing program. I took all of my practical nursing courses at Ivy Tech, but still, I wasn't accepted into the nursing program, and I "My new journey provided the tools to deepen my walk with Christ, and I began to utilize principles in the Bible to transform my life." I began to doubt my dreams. I would eventually take the program three times and still wasn't accepted. I was in my last prerequisite when I overheard a couple of classmates discussing a new 16-month practical nursing program. I prayed to God to confirm if He wanted me to go in this direction. I also met with Purdue University and Brown Mackie to inquire more about their programs, and Brown Mackie said that I would only require 11 months with credit from my prerequisites at Ivy Tech. Purdue told me that as long as I passed NCLEx, I would be eligible to attend their program. That news was major, and I realized that I would be able to complete the PN program at Brown Mackie, pass the NCLEX, and eventually obtain my Associate's Degree from Purdue and become an RN. I enrolled and earned A's and B's, and completed the program in 2006," Dr. Beard says. She would return to school to get her other degrees, including a doctorate in Nursing. "Earning my Doctorate Degree wasn't a part of my dream, it was God's. God desires to use this degree for His glory." Fully armed academically, Dr. Beard set her sights on serving others. Today, in Hobart, IN, she manages several businesses, including a non-profit organization. One of her businesses is VicTory Training, which provides Healthcare Training for Nurse Aides, Qualified Medication Aides, Dental Assistants, Medical Assistants, Phlebotomists, Pharmacy Techs, and Electrocardiogram (EKG) Techs. Dr. Beard shares that VicTory Training came from one of the lowest seasons of her life. She was an unemployed Nurse and was taking care of her father, who was dealing with terminal cancer. "I realized that I had something living inside of me that every time I turned to it, it would prosper. I also realized that one of my greatest attributes is teaching, and I decided to use that gift to make money," she shares. Dr. Beard began teaching her Nurses Aide course in 2015. Another business that Dr. Beard owns is VicTory at Home-Indiana Home Care Agency. With this, she provides attendant care (bathing and grooming) and homemaker services (light housekeeping and cooking) for her clients. "We are dedicated to providing safe, caring and understanding companionship, personal care, skilled care and home support services to physically-challenged, convalescing and dependent individuals of all ages in the comfort of their own homes," she says. Her non-profit organization, VicTory 4 Kidz, encourages young people to fall in love with healthcare careers. Founded in 2022, VicTory 4 Kidz aims to inspire young children to pursue healthcare careers by exposing them to various healthcare careers. The program offers camp sessions, including a one week-long camp for children aged 10-13 years old. They also collaborate with various individuals and organizations to teach student campers valuable skills that will benefit them throughout their daily lives. "We teach, we inspire, and we transform," Dr. Beard says. With all of her academic and even personal accomplishments in life, Dr. Beard continues to find ways to serve others. Possibly, her actions and interests are a result of her life's journey. Regardless, Dr. Beard is living by purpose. "I am committed to having a lasting and profound impact on my community. My faith in God is what continues to drive and push me. I also find inspiration in my father, mother, aunt Monica Beard, and Maynard Beard Jr. I also draw inspiration from my grandmothers, my children, and spiritual leaders, including the late Apostle Jo Ann Long, Archbishop William Hudson III, and Prophet Andria Hudson," she shares. Most recently, she was honored as the NWI Non-Profit Influential Woman of the Year by the Northwest Indiana Influential Association for Women (NWI-IAW). As she looks to the future, she is focused on securing a legacy for her family, businesses, and organizations. "My desire is for them not to ever return to where we started. The goal is for us to ensure that our rental properties provide subsidized housing for a family or young mother to change the trajectory of their lives," she says. Her advice to others who may follow a similar path in life as hers is to pray and seek God's will for your life. "Be obedient about living a lifestyle that is pleasing and acceptable to Christ. You don't have to believe in the vision, but if you're obedient, you will see the vision come to pass." Send Audrey a Text to get your question answered on the showYour horse has had fecal water for months. You've tried the probiotics. You've added the gut supplements. You've done the paste. You switched hay. You called your vet. And every single time, you get some version of the same answer: it's probably stress, or maybe ulcers, or just how some horses are.And meanwhile your horse is standing there with stained legs, and you are standing there with an empty wallet and zero answers. Here's what I want to tell you today: the problem probably isn't your horse's gut. And it's definitely not your hay. The problem is that everyone — including well-meaning professionals — has been looking at the wrong end of the horse. Send Audrey a Text to get your question answered on the showToday we're tackling one of the most frequently cited studies in the world of equine hair tissue mineral analysis, or HTMA.If you've spent any time researching HTMA, you've probably heard someone say:"That 2022 Journal of Equine Veterinary Science study proved hair mineral testing doesn't work."And honestly, that's one of the reasons I wanted to record this episode.Because after reviewing more than 10,000 mane mineral analyses over the years, I think it's important thatwe discuss what the study actually found, what it didn't find, and perhaps most importantly, whether it waseven asking the same question that many HTMA practitioners are asking. Now before we begin, I want to be very clear. This is not an episode about dismissing research. It's not an episode about defending HTMA at all costs. In fact, I agree with some of the concerns raised by the study.I think it highlights important challenges within the industry. As we kick off our new series through Revelation we explore the revelation of Jesus Christ, the message to the seven churches, and what happens when people truly encounter Him. In this classic episode Greg Lawson is talking about his book 'Roswell: The After Action Report'. The Roswell Incident is possibly the most investigated and controversial UFO case in history. There are no shortages of beliefs and opinions to the actual events of this unusual happening. Dozens of corroborated witnesses and hundreds of professed witnesses have been interviewed, each with their varying degree of credibility. In Roswell: The After-Action Report, veteran detective Greg Lawson uses forensic statement analysis and his thousands of hours of training and experience to review the cultural influence, historical context, and eyewitness testimony of those closest involved. The results of his review prove once again, citizens should always be skeptical of those in charge. Bio Have you ever experienced something you could not explain? A feeling, a presence, a voice or a vision? If so, you are not alone. Millions of people have reported such experiences and they often dismiss them as misunderstandings. Still others hastily attribute them to ghosts, spirits, hauntings, the paranormal or the supernatural. Greg Lawson has traveled to over 40 countries visiting some of Earth's strangest sites and conducting his own investigation of their paranormal histories. Greg is a 30-year law enforcement officer, professional investigator, police academy instructor, college educator, and former expert witness for investigative procedures. He also researches and investigates human paranormal experience and locations known for spiritual or unusual activity. He has authored two books on the subject and specializes in providing alternative perspectives to explain human experience. Greg is also a 10-year military veteran with the US Army, Navy, and Air Force, (...yes you can do that...) and is currently a street patrol lieutenant in Central Texas. He uses the thousands of hours of training he has received through his profession and his experience as a detective along with his Masters Degree in Education to study paranormal human experience and physical anomalies. With deployments to Central America, Europe, Northern Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and two Western Pacific sea deployments, Greg is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and holds an honorary Admiral commission in the Texas Navy. Greg received his bachelors degree in applies arts and sciences and his master's degree in education, specializing in complex adaptive human systems. He is a proud alumni of Texas State University. Send Audrey a Text to get your question answered on the showToday, we are talking about longevity. About what it actually takes to build a horse that ages well. About why some horses peak later instead of declining earlier. And about what owners who have these horses did differently -- not just in their senior years, but years before anyone was thinking about senior years.Because the horses that stay sound longer? They usually aren't lucky. They're built that way. And it starts way earlier than most people think. Send Audrey a Text to get your question answered on the showWalk into the average horse barn and tell me what you see in the feed room.Bags of complete feed. Probably a senior formula. Maybe a ration balancer sitting next to a fat supplement sitting next to a joint supplement sitting next to a hoof supplement sitting next to something for ulcers. And somewhere in the back, a bucket of electrolytes that nobody's really sure if they still need. And the horse? Still ouchy. Still slow to recover. Still metabolically weird. Still not quite right. The owner? Trying harder. Buying more. Doing everything they've been told to do.Here's the thing nobody in the feed aisle or the feed store is going to tell you:The feed room is probably creating half the problems. Not because you're doing it wrong on purpose. But because the entire conventional approach to feeding horses was built around calories, weight, and convenience -- not around equine physiology. Not around what actually drives inflammation. Not around what horses were designed to eat.Today, we're going to get into all of it. What's hiding in your feed room. Why your horse can look totally fine on the outside and still be struggling at the cellular level. Why supplements keep stacking up and nothing ever really resolves. And what it actually looks like when you feed for physiology instead of feeding for appearances.Stay with me. This one's going to shift some things for you. Send Audrey a Text to get your question answered on the showThe horse industry has a dirty little secret. We've been calling deterioration a care plan.Joint injections at ten. Ulcers at seven. Behavioral issues blamed on attitude. Topline disappearing despite a full feed room. And everyone just… nods along. Like this is fine. Like this is just what horses do.It's not fine. And it's not inevitable. And today we are going to talk about why. We can't wait to experience miracles with you! Welcome to a new episode of the Future Generations podcast! This conversation between Ginny Yurich and Dr. Stanton Hom explores what it means to pursue freedom-focused care in a medical culture that often feels coercive and dismissive of parents' concerns. Drawing from personal stories of military service, chronic health struggles, home birth, vaccine injury in the family, and parenting, they unpack how belief systems around health are formed, and how they can be transformed. Across the episode, they dive into topics like chronic illness in children, epigenetics vs. "it's just genetic," the role of the nervous system and spinal health in child development, the power of nature and lifestyle, and how parents can step out of medical tyranny into a more empowered, collaborative model of care for their families. Highlights: "We should be working ourselves out of a job by empowering patients to need the system less over time." "Sometimes the core issue isn't another diagnosis; it's that we need to shift our belief system." "Kids are telling us, 'I feel old'—and that's not a small problem. That's a sign of a chronically ill culture." "Nature doesn't treat anxiety; children who live in healthy environments just don't express it the same way."
