In the second half of the episode, we take the discussion deeper into the evolution of sport science and the challenges of applying it across different environments. Emaly and I talk about how athletes transition from national teams to their college or professional programs and the difficulties that come with inconsistent resources and data. We also explore how sports scientists are learning to balance the practical realities of technology with the need for accurate and reliable data. The conversation touches on real issues like injury prevention, pain management, and how performance staff can use individualized approaches to make the biggest impact. This part of the episode also focuses on how the role of sports science has become more athlete-facing. It is no longer just about the back-end data. It is about trust, education, and helping athletes make better choices for themselves. We discuss strategies that go beyond the lab, from sleep education to recovery tools, and how coaches and scientists can better listen to athletes about what matters to them. The takeaway here is that true performance progress happens when the science is individualized and when athletes feel empowered to take ownership of their development. Look at us, we're back! More prepared, but with slightly less clothing. This was another quick and fun episode covering yet another crazy couple of weeks.Mom and Dad had a great night out at Crusader Knight, the big fundraising gala for our kids' school. Danielle was the belle of the ball and was excited to show off the look she's been working so hard on. It was such a great night with even better company, the Galindos.Like everything we do, it didn't come without its fair share of stress. Leo had a bunch of dental work the same day, but thank God for Dr. Lindsay Row at Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry, because everything went great (only a few meltdowns).Danielle wants to work with Mackin, but she still has no idea what he actually does, so he's still interviewing other candidates and rebranding the marketing agency. We also attended Danielle's 20-year high school reunion and got to see so many old friends, most of whom Mackin had to remind Danielle of by name. Shoutout to the Mormons who gave us their drink tickets!Mackin also ranked the kids a little more accurately this episode. Leo is working on subtraction, Dean has a newfound appreciation for cologne, Viv is locking into middle school, and Dom's broken wrist has healed. And yes, it all counts toward their ranking on Mackin's list.Thank you all for listening, and remember, if you don't rank your kids, you're just lying to yourself because you do.

Katie Friday is a sales engineer who took the scenic route into manufacturing. She started in social work, battled through an engineering pivot at WVU, worked her way from project engineering to sales, and now lives at the intersection of customers, controls, and culture. We talk about resilient learning, why great SOPs read like fifth grade science, the reality of safety projects, and how leadership sets the tone for teams. There is a rom-com opening scene, a baby blue Beetle, and a giant robot in Wilmington. Most of all, there is a clear picture of how supportive culture turns new hires into future leaders. Why this conversation mattersCulture is a team sport and leadership is the lever. Katie shows how cross-functional respect between engineering, maintenance, and operations speeds projects up, how good documentation creates confidence on the floor, and why automation does not erase jobs. It raises the skill ceiling and demands better training.Conversation highlightsMeeting story at IMTS and a friendship that started in an elevator.Katie's rom-com life pitch featuring a 2013 baby blue Beetle and a bee.Switching from social work to industrial engineering and learning resilience the hard way. From receptionist to project engineer to sales engineer and why talking to customers clicked. The coolest project sighting, a towering broadcast robot and the crews that build stages for NASCAR, ESPN, and even the Super Bowl.Safety projects move first and fast, and the scheduling whiplash that brings.SOPs that actually teach, pictures over jargon, and testing docs with non engineers.Women navigating a male heavy field, boundaries, and a shoutout to mentor Kimberly Pelke. Why new adopters of automation are the next wave and how AI will show up on the plant floor.Topics coveredCompany culture as daily behavior, not a poster on the wall.Leadership modeling communication and teamwork.Sales engineering as translator between customers and controls teams.Budget timing, stakeholders, and the real blockers to moving from design to execution.Operator training that matches the tech.Automation as job shifter and skill builder, not a job eraser.Women in STEM, representation that changes decisions, and early pipeline programs.Quotes“I do not mind being the dumbest in the room. It just means I am learning.”“Good culture feels like a team that actually communicates and still pulls toward the same goal.”“Automation does not eliminate people. It asks them to learn new skills.”“Great SOPs should read like fifth grade science. This month we've explored modular construction from the ground up — financing, DIY systems, community scale, and stigma-busting. But in this episode, we step into the human soul of modular housing. Architect-engineer Charles Bloszies brings a fresh, humanitarian lens to offsite construction. He doesn't just build units—he designs legacies. Chuck's work in transitional, interim housing and his hybrid modular / prefabricated approach reveal how design, context, and care can distinguish mere shelter from a sanctuary. What makes this episode different:We explore how modular can restore dignity, especially in homelessness response.Rather than technology-first, we center mission-first design philosophy. We talk about coordination risk, vendor realities, and hybrid systems — not just ideal scenarios. We consider architecture as a contributor to community fabric, legacy, and calm environments.Key Takeaways:4:12 — The philosophical shift: modular as a tool for dignity, not just efficiency.7:43 — Collaboration is essential: architects, vendors, planners, community all at the table.10:09 — The origin story: how Chuck's wife's hospital work sparked his social housing focus.13:02 — The Redwood City modular project: a 240-bed modular housing campus and lessons from the field.17:01 — The horizon: hybrid systems and mass timber as modular tools of the future.21:03 — Micro touches that matter: “mean design” vs. nurturing materials, corner windows in small units.Connect with Charles:Website: https://archengine.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/charles-bloszies-3956748Email Address: chuck@archengine.com Connect with Corwyn:Contact Number: 843-619-3005Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/exitstrategiesradioshow/FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/exitstrategiessc/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxoSuynJd5c4qQ_eDXLJaZAWebsite: https://www.exitstrategiesradioshow.comLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cmelette/Shoutout to our Sponsor: Mellifund Capital, LLCNeed funding for your next real estate flip or build? Did you know that premature ejaculation is the most common form of sexual dysfunction on the planet? In a similar vein, experts estimate that erectile dysfunction impacts a staggering 30-50 million men in the U.S. alone. And some studies suggest that 1 in 10 men experiences delayed ejaculation. The truth is, sexual dysfunction affects millions and millions of men, but the experience is often one of being alone. Helpless. Feeling stuck or out of control. Common thoughts:"Why can't I get hard when I want the sex? I feel like my body's betraying me.""I'm so frustrated about cumming so fast -- I want sex to last.""What's the point of even going on a date if I know it's eventually gonna end up in the bedroom?""I'm terrified that I won't satisfy her sexually, and then she'll either humiliate me, leave me, or both.""What's wrong with me?"---Here, Luke reveals the one primary and often overlooked yet vitally important commonality that exists between all sexual dysfunction. As he puts it, “Western medicine has reduced it to it being all about blood flow...” and it's about way more than that.As a doctor of Chinese medicine, Luke brings a unique and potent perspective on the topic. The plain truth is that overcoming sexual dysfunction like erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and delayed ejaculation is simply not about what you think it's about.---Work with usReady to go deeper than the podcast and take action? Let's talk about your relationships.”“I could not RECEIVE help … like it could not get into my body.”“Your cock is your compass.”“This isn't about sex; this is about power.”“It's literally a miracle.”---Mentioned on this episode:Luke Adler: https://lukeadlerhealing.com/To book a call with me to discuss Sexual Mastery, just email me at dearmenpodcast at gmail dot com

What if one random podcast episode on a Tuesday completely changed your career trajectory? Agne Maria Moa is a content strategist at Notus, one of Europe's leading personal branding agencies, where she helps founders build their LinkedIn presence. Her journey started when she accidentally listened to a podcast by Rory Vaden about how personal brands impact sales. The next day, she posted her first piece of content. While still a university student in Lithuania, Agne worked unpaid for six months at an early-stage agency while her peers worked as baristas. Agne takes a different approach that goes beyond chasing virality. She's learned that breakthrough comes from pushing through when you have zero engagement and nobody's responding. She starts with deep interviews to understand clients' backgrounds and goals before creating anything. Rather than copying what works for others, she helps founders figure out what makes them unique and builds strategies around their personal experiences. This conversation gets into building a personal brand from scratch. Agne shares how she dealt with impostor syndrome as a student with no experience, why she did things differently when everyone questioned her, and how focusing on value attracted opportunities.  Key Takeaways: Do Something Different to Build Success. Building an extraordinary life means doing what others aren't doing, even when it feels uncomfortable. Push Through the Uncomfortable Period. Breakthrough happens after you gain momentum, but you have to keep posting when nobody's engaging. Strategy Before Content. Understand your goals, target audience, and what makes you unique before creating posts or chasing engagement. Personal Stories Beat Tactical Advice. Content that ties personal experience to insights performs significantly better than generic how-to posts. Don't Chase Virality at the Expense of Positioning. High engagement doesn't matter if it positions you wrong or attracts people who won't become clients. Test Different Content Pillars. Mix tactical advice, personal stories, industry insights, and aspirational content to find what resonates. We gather today to “celebrate” the Five of Cups, aka the grief card. The traditional card depicts a darkened figure staring at cups that are spilled, while other full cups are visible on the other side. At the time of recording, the Cardslingers had to deal with personal grief, as well as the country's collective grief. Jaymi discusses the power of emotional grief. Melissa expands on the need for memory and meaning. Hilary reminds us that this card contains a bit of the “what if” game and how nothing good comes from playing that game. The past is not our home. Honor the things we've lost and remember what we still have. Feel your feelings fully. We've still got a long way to go! Homework: Create an ancestor altar. A bowl, a container, a box, a shelf, and add the names of your beloved dead to it. You can also add items to ease the soreness.   Melissa now has a Patreon! This week, the gang dives into a grim economic landscape, tackling the week's bad news with their signature candor before scraping for some silver linings. The bad news hits hard: the U.S. government shutdown, now in its eighth day, is costing $7-15 billion weekly, furloughing 1.9 million workers and delaying critical jobs data, with ADP and Moody's signaling near-zero job growth in September, concentrated in healthcare and large firms. American farmers face bankruptcy risks as tariffs inflate prices and competitors like Argentina and Brazil snag deals with China. J.P. Morgan pegs recession odds at 40% by year-end, and tech stocks, puffed up by AI hype, teeter on the edge of a bust. Chad rants about tariffs, ICE raids, and H1B visa hikes pushing talent away, calling the economy “cataclysmic,” while J.T. laments the understated jobs crisis, with six-figure earners jobless for months. Joel highlights the plight of farmers, noting the regressive impact of tariffs on the poor and the absurdity of subsidizing competitors like Argentina. Switching to good news, the trio finds some hope: Upwork's CEO Hayden Brown reports a 50%+ surge in demand for AI skills like prompt engineering, with Gen Z poised to benefit from freelance opportunities. A Yale study suggests ChatGPT hasn't yet disrupted U.S. jobs significantly, and Workday's expanded real estate footprint and Netflix's $700,000 AI product manager role signal niche growth. J.T. sees promise in fractional work for seasoned professionals, while Chad warns AI is quietly automating tasks (like scheduling at GM, cutting 100+ jobs) and questions the longevity of roles like prompt engineering. Joel agrees, likening AI jobs to short-lived 90s webmaster roles, predicting they'll train systems to replace themselves. The episode also covers LinkedIn's lawsuit against Pro APIs for scraping millions of profiles with fake accounts, a growing headache as AI amplifies such schemes, and the launch of Filament, a $10.7M-funded, invite-only LinkedIn rival that Chad dismisses as redundant given existing group chats on WhatsApp and Slack. Finally, they tackle Gen X's financial woes, with only 25% holding retirement accounts and student debt crushing the rest. J.T. sees universal basic income (UBI) as a potential bridge for Gen X to pivot careers, but Joel balks at the idea, citing their fiercely independent ethos, while Chad ties the crisis to the shift from pensions to 401ks and broader systemic failures. The episode closes with a heated debate on whether UBI or corporate reinvestment in communities could stem the tide, leaving listeners with a mix of grim realities and cautious optimism for a creative, freelance-driven future.
