Jib You've gotten so many “disappointment” questions about Shadow it's a bit of a bummer. So I was curious to hear what you like about Shadow, and if there's anything with his current portrayal that you do enjoy writing with, or witnessing being written with him. Maybe any moments in IDW too with him with that you enjoyed? Scurvy Piratehog (KoFi) Aside from Sonic, Eggman's other two most prominent enemies in comic history seems to be Zavok and Naugus. How do you think those two would get along? Would they like each other? hate each other? And who would win in a fight? Scruffymatt In the old SatAM cartoon, Robotnik had a habit of calling Sonic a "miserable rodent." This struck me as a bit odd, as Sonic is an incredibly upbeat character. Sure, he had his moments of sadness from time to time, but the only character in that show I would say was miserable was Snively (and possibly Antoine). So what's the deal? I mean... did Robotnik not know what that word means? Jeff G (KoFi) I'm a long time Sonic comic collector. I stopped when the Archie series went away, but I'm getting back into comics again thanks to your show! Question: How do you show off all these excellent books? It kills me to keep them in a longbox... AWF Breezie. Archie comics. Robot or not? Andrew D. You've spoken on multiple occasions about how SEGA would disagree on something that clearly was plausible such as the Master Emerald effecting the Chaos Emeralds. In those instances, have you ever attempted to call them out on their mistake by providing examples and asking what exactly was happening at that moment instead? I understand not wanting to bite the hand that feeds and that it is SEGA's property, but I wonder at times if they just need a reminder is all. Unless they're aiming for a retcon. Personally, if I was in charge of a property and you pointed out something like that, I don't think I could just ignore it, but that's just me I guess. Perhaps the difference is I'd care about my property's consistency when they don't? Or am I missing something? I'd like to think SEGA cares about their property enough to stay consistent. Speed Weed

It's a (non demoninational specific) holliday miracle! We got the legend, the myth, the organ donor, Geoffrey Eggleston on today. This week we chat about Geoffrey's big break up and then we end with a song. Big thanks to the fine folks at Speed Weed and Damn Good Candles for always making this happen.
The boys talk about failing at comedy and life and what not. Daniel has a mental breakdown and we had to spend time editing his cock out. There was a segment where we watched Evans first stand up tape but the audio fucked up so we had to cut like a half hour so there's a pretty jarring cut but it all worked out please stop harassing me mom. Special thanks to Speed Weed, Betterbox TV, and Damn Good Candles for making this all happen
The boys recount tales of boozing and someone stole Daniel's can of chowder. Who the fuck steals a can of chowder. This country is going to hell in a hand basket. This would never happen during the Reagan days. If you find Daniel's chowder please call the police. Shout out to Speed Weed and Betterbox TV for making this show good
We're back at this shit show again. We were going to start filming episodes but due to Gage's newest bout with Hepatitis we decided to just do the audio again. This week Evan's back with his new wife Shongedzai Jones are on to talk about their african weddings and the several orgies they've attended. Daniel shares a real sad coke story and bums everyone out. Big thanks to the folks at Betterbox TV, Speed Weed, and Damn Good Candles for letting us record our dumb podcast
Evan's out getting married and contracting venereal diseases with his new wife, so me and Gage sit down with Ken Breese and Anthony Witlox. Ken and Anthony work at and help run Better Box Studios, which has been kind enough to let us record our penis based podcast on their premises. Watch Ken's movie "My Alien Girlfriend" and watch his sketch group Night Pants. Catch Anthony slappin' that sweet bass for Arielle Beasely (i don't know if I spelt that right). Big shout out to our sponsors Speed Weed, Better Box TV, and Damn Good Candles

Executive producers Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim said. “In an unforgettable episode that will change ‘Arrow' forever, Katrina Law returns as the Daughter of the Demon, Nyssa Al Ghul. Nyssa comes to Star City to warn of an impending danger that will threaten everything we know and love.” http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/arrow-katrina-law-nyssa-al-ghul-1202675995/ GENERAL DC NEWS: Legends of Tomorrow adds Keiynan Lonsdale as series regular (Date: 19 Jan 2018) Welcome to the Waverider, Kid Flash! Following the departure of Franz Drameh and Victor Garber, Keiynan Lonsdale has joined the cast of DC's Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular, EW has learned. Executive producer Phil Klemmer said in a statement, “We loved working with Keiynan in our series premiere — the episode in which we learned that in between seasons 2 and 3 he had been fighting crime in Central City with Nick Zano's Nate Heywood. So when his character stepped away from Flash to go on walkabout, after being dumped and feeling somewhat estranged from his family and team, we knew that Wally West would fit in perfectly on Legends. After all, our show is about a collection of unlikely heroes who all began their journeys questioning who they are and where they belong — only to find those answers while traveling through time and having wacky adventures. So now, Wally West is not only back in the company of old friends from the Arrowverse, he's fighting alongside a former enemy and career arsonist Mick Rory/Dom Purcell. By the end of this season, Wally will learn that the Legends have a different definition of what it means to be a hero.” http://ew.com/tv/2018/01/19/legends-of-tomorrow-adds-keiynan-lonsdale-as-series-regular/ NEXT EPISODE Link to Promo: (Date: 01 Feb 2018) http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/02/02/arrow-season-6-episode-13-the-devils-greatest-trick/ Episode: “The Devil's Greatest Trick” [Season 6 Episode 13] Air Date: Thursday, February 8, 2018 Summary: Cayden James launches a full out attack when he uncovers a secret about the Green Arrow that puts him over the edge. Starling Tribune – ONE SHOT – Justice League 2017 (A CW Network Arrow Television Show Fan Podcast) ST177 The Official Arrow and Green Arrow Podcast of the Gonna Geek Network Covering DC Comics and CW Based DC Comic TV Shows JUSTICE LEAGUE Release date: November 17, 2017 (United States) Reported budget: $300 million Running time: 120 minutes Produced by: Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Jon Berg, and Geoff Johns Director: Zack Snyder (with help from Joss Whedon) Writing Credits: Screenplay by: Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon Story by: Chris Terrio & Zack Snyder Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster Justice League of America created by Gardner Fox Batman created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston Fourth World created by Jack Kirby - Jack Kirby's Fourth World is a turn of phrase commonly attributed to a family of titles created in the 1970s by writer/illustrator Jack Kirby. When Jack Kirby returned to working for DC Comics in the 1970s, he introduced what would become known as the Fourth World concept. He created a science-fiction based mythology revolving around ancient space deities known as the New Gods. Similar to the gods of Earth lore, the New Gods were larger than life, possessing fantastic powers, which they used in a never-ending struggle between good and evil. Fourth World characters include Steppenwolf and Darkseid. They spilt the Mother Boxes, hiding and protecting them. One is in Atlantis, one is on Themyscira, and the humans buried the third. Michelle – WHERE ARE THE GREEN LANTERNS??????????? Rate the movie SP - Chris - Michelle – Not better than Wonder Woman, but better than the Academy Award Winning Suicide Squad Would you like a sequel? SP - Chris - Michelle – Yes, but with Batman and Alfred as Watchtower Are you excited about other DC films? SP - Chris - Michelle – Aquamanbecause Momoa is wonderful and it seems as though Mera will have magic and be from Xebel. Some guy from the Bratva Some new character Lingering Questions / Issues Where does Ollie live? Bertinelli mentioned again - this better pay off ARROW NEWS: Arrow Episode 18 Gets A Title And Starts Production (Date: 18 Feb 2017) Executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared the cover page of the episode 18 script on Twitter, stating that it has started production. “Disbanded” is written by Rebecca Bellotto and directed by J.J. Makaro. The team has been in flux all season, with Diggle being out for certain periods of time, Artemis betraying the team, and the loss of Ragman. Curtis and Wild Dog have managed to stick around, though, and the team seems poised to finally get a new Black Canary full time. It would be unfortunate for Olliver's ragtag group to dissolve so quickly, but that definitely might be the case. Legends Of Tomorrow - "Land Of The Lost"— After capturing Rip , he forces the Waverider to crash, leaving the Legends stuck seventy million years in the past. The post raves about Daxamite technology, so it looks like Smith's episode will be resolving the ongoing mystery of Mon-El and the aliens who would see him captured. The other post has Smith teaming up with none other than Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter! This season has seen Carter taking up none other than the mantle of President of the United States, and the seal on the wall behind the two of them confirms that she is returning to reprise the role. Link:http://www.cbr.com/supergirl-kevin-smith-lynda-carter/ LEGENDS OF TOMORROW SEASON FINALE TO FEATURE JRR TOLKIEN (Date: 21 Feb 2017) According to a cast list for the upcoming season two finale, the show will soon include J.R.R. Tolkien. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared a cast list for the season finale episode, titled “Aruba,” on Twitter. The cast list includes all the usual suspects, like the “Legends” team and the members of the Legion of Doom. It also includes a surprise guest star: J.R.R. Tolkien, played by Jack Turner (Freeform's “Stitchers”). Since we haven't seen a synopsis for “Aruba” just yet, we don't actually know if this is the J.R.R. Tolkien or just another person with that incredibly specific and unique name. The cast list also includes a few other surprise names. Wentworth Miller and Katie Cassidy will reprise their roles as Leonard Snart and Laurel Lance, respectively. Poague's Accelerated Man will debut on February 28 in the episode “Attack on Central City.” A new photo from the episode reveals the comic-accurate look of Poague's Accelerated Man, who is a Speed Force Conduit and Earth-19's version of the Flash. In the comics, Earth-19 is ruled by the 21st Century's King George and has only just begun enjoying “electric technology.” As a Speed Force conduit in this strange dimension, Accelerated Man enjoys a massively increased heal rate, increased perception, the ability to phase through solid objects and, of course, super speed — basically, he's the Flash. (Don't worry, Arrow has already been renewed for season 6.) EW hit the set of the Vancouver-based series to get Amell's take on Oliver's current predicaments as the show builds toward its big season 5 finale. That certainly appears to match the aesthetic of director Patty Jenkins' film. Also notable is Diana's weapons of choice: Although her famed Lasso of Truth is slung on her belt, she wields a sword and shield, emphasizing her role as a warrior. In addition to the Amazon Princess, there will also be Pop! figures of Steve Trevor and Queen Hippolyta. CURRENT EPISODE DC EASTER EGGS & POP CULTURE REFERENCES Season Episode “Second Chances” (Date: 01 Feb 2017) Article: http://comicbook.com/2017/02/02/arrow-easter-eggs-and-things-you-might-have-missed-in-second-cha/ HUB CITY - Hub City, a fictional city in the DC Universe, is best known as the home to The Question, a self-taught urban shaman. The last time we saw the city on Arrow was when Esrin Fortuna helped Oliver take on Damien Darhk...and of course, when Hub City started to show up in showrunner Marc Guggenheim's tweets this year, there was plenty of speculation that he was teasing The Question. Turns out, he was teasing the Black Canary! BIG BELLY BURGER - Big Belly Burger, a fictional fast-food restaurant in the DC Universe, is the fast food of choice for people who are in hiding, in jail, or otherwise cut off from the world on The Flash. Here, we saw Team Arrow hanging out there in Hub City while Felicity got it delivered to her in the Arrowcave during her side quest. FAMILY SECRET - When Talia refers to her agelessness as a "family secret," it's the kind of cutesy clue that Nyssa used to drop in her early appearances, where she didn't directly name-drop Ra's al Ghul or the Lazarus Pit, but made references that were pretty clear to people in the know. Back then, of course, we always wondered whether Ra's would ever make an appearance. Now, he's come and gone, and we know that this kind of vague dialogue is mostly to keep continuity tidy so that Oliver doesn't realize exactly who he's dealing with when Ra's and Nyssa come in later. THE FLASH & CAPTAIN SINGH - In what Marc Guggenheim tweeted was the quickest crossover Arrow has ever done with The Flash, we got to see Barry speed (in costume) into his boss's office to vouch for Green Arrow. What's nice to see is Captain Singh, Barry's boss, who hasn't been seen much this season. It felt a bit like last night, when the long-absent Miss Tessmacher from Supergirl had a quick cameo on The Flash. SONUS - Sean Sonus, alias Discord is a sonic villain who fights Green Arrow and Black Canary. He first appeared in Green Arrow and Black Canary #15, and was co-created by Arrow EP Andrew Kreisberg and artist Mike Norton. DINAH DRAKE - "Dinah Drake" is actually the name of the original/Earth-2 Black Canary, who existed in the comics before Dinah Lance did. ARROW NEWS: New Arrow Episode Gets A Russian Title As It Begins Production (Date: 30 Jan 2017) Marc Guggenheim, the show's executive producer, shared a cover of the new episode's script, and let fans know that it was beginning production. Episode 17 will be titled 'Kapot', which is a Russian word meaning 'cowl' or 'hood'. Flashbacks reveal how Rene went from simple family man to a hero named Wild Dog. Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) must deal with the perpetrator behind the attack and realizes the best way to do so is as Mayor Queen instead of the Green Arrow. Tensions run high in the Arrow bunker. Kristin Windell directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim (#513). Actually, when TVLine last spoke to Wendy Mericle, the Arrow scribes were in the midst of hashing out a return scenario for Little Miss Benedict Arnold. “We have a really cool, exciting twist for how she's going to reappear,” the EP teased, noting: “The interesting thing about the choices Evelyn has made is that as much as she took the moral high ground when confronting Oliver, she has allied herself with someone who is even worse,” in Prometheus. “She's gone from the frying pan into the fire.” Link:http://tvline.com/2017/01/31/bones-final-season-spoilers-booth-gordon-wyatt/ Wayback Wednesday: Watch The First Ever Trailer For Arrow (Date: 01 Feb 2017) In honor of Wayback Wednesday - and a brand new episode of Arrow tonight - it's about time to take a look back at the first ever trailer for Arrow. This footage was seen in 2012, and it talked a lot about Oliver Queen's return to the real world, after he was thought to be dead. The trailer shows Oliver on the island, beard and all, as well as his assimilation back into society. Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/02/02/wayback-wednesday-watch-the-first-ever-trailer-for-arrow/ ARROW: TINA BOLAND'S REAL NAME WILL BE FAMILIAR TO DC COMICS FANS (Date: 01 Feb 207) “Tina Boland” is her undercover name; her real name is Dinah Drake. If that sounds familiar, that's because Dinah Drake is the name of the original Black Canary. Dinah debuted in 1947's “Flash Comics” #86 as Black Canary. Later, she married a man named Larry Lance and subsequently changed her name to Dinah Lance. Inspired by Dinah, her daughter Dinah Laurel Lance would go on to become a founding member of the Justice League. When the New 52 restarted DC Comics' continuity, the Black Canary legacy was retconned, and Dinah Drake was restored as the one and only Black Canary. This New 52 version of Dinah Drake was formerly married to Kurt Lance, but the two divorced. Link:http://www.cbr.com/arrow-tina-boland-black-canary-dinah-drake/ Arrow: What is Helix? (Date: 01 Feb 2017) Helix was a supervillain group led by Dr. Benjamin Love, aka Mr. Bones. The members were six mutated children who had been experimented on and then kidnapped by Love. They grew up to be a rather bizarre cast of characters, including Kritter (a human/dog hybrid) and Baby Boom (a young child who can cause explosions with her mind). It's safe to assume that any future appearances of Helix will certainly be way more grounded in reality - with any mention of the original characters probably being used as online screennames. This is similar to the inclusion of the secret organization Shadowspire in Arrow, which was given a much more realistic makeover. When recently discussing the dynamic between Felicity and Diggle going forward, Arrow executive-producer Wendy Mericle mentioned that the events in 'Second Chances' will play into the rest of the season. "Part of what kicks [Felicity] off down this darker path is she's going to find evidence to exonerate him -- and [Diggle's] going to have to deal with the fallout of the fact that Felicity is now going down a questionable path in part because of him." With that in mind, there's a very good chance that tonight's episode will not be the last time we hear of Helix on Arrow. Heroes Unite.” In the episode, a White Martian arrives in National City to capture M'gann and return her to Mars, where she's to be punished as a traitor. Unwilling to allow that to happen, Hank Henshaw and Supergirl bring M'gann to the Department of Extra-Normal Operations for protection, only for circumstances to turn from bad to worse. So there's a fair amount of Flash-ness going on in Legends. I wish I could say that we were so smart to take advantage of the new timeslot and do that, but we weren't that smart. We just had already sort of been doing that organically anyway when we found out about the new timeslot. I will say this: There's a love scene in episode 11 and we were in the editing room on it — it's a love scene, it gets a little steamy — and I was joking, ‘Let's take that 9 p.m. timeslot out for a spin.'” The article has the audio of the interview with Guggenheim. As for when we'll get to see the duo in action, it looks like episode twelve, titled "Untouchable," is a good bet as it'll feature a subplot with the Scarlet Speedster helping Kid Flash elevate his game to the next level. Check out the new "Lightning Strikes Twice" poster. Link:https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tv/dc/the_flash/two-speedsters-are-better-than-one-on-this-electrifying-new-a148532 The Flash: Robbie Amell teases his upcoming return (Date: 29 Jan 2017) Earlier this month, EW exclusively revealed that Robbie Amell is returning to The Flash for an upcoming episode. Details on his return are still scarce, but the actor gave EW a little tease of what to expect. “I was there last week,” he shared at Honda's “Hockey Goes Hollywood” event in Los Angeles. “I can tell you that my scenes are with Grant [Gustin] and Danielle [Panabaker]. And I may or may not be alive.” That last part is key, considering the last we saw of Ronnie, he died as a result of destroying the singularity that opened up the path to Earth-2, where that planet's Ronnie was a villain named Deathstorm. Being back on Flash is always a treat for Amell, who got to catch up with his TV wife and former superhero partner and have his first true Ronnie and Barry scene. Link:http://ew.com/tv/2017/01/29/the-flash-robbie-amell-return/ LEGENDS OF TOMORROW'S LETSCHER TEASES REVERSE FLASH'S PLAN, COLD'S RETURN (Date: 31 Jan 2017) Speaking to CBR, Letscher teased Reverse Flash's plan, and he promised that Thawne's motivation would be “a major reveal” in the next episode of “Legends of Tomorrow.” Letscher also discussed the Legion's dynamic, the upcoming return of Leonard “Captain Cold” Snart, Thawne's important “foreknowledge” of events and more. When asked about Captain Cold, he said, “He is going to be a full-fledged member of the Legion of Doom and be very valuable to them on multiple fronts. Eobard has done his homework in this regard, and he's recruited somebody who's fully on board with the Legion of Doom's mission and he also understands the complications that Captain Cold's relationship with the Legends… the psychological complications that inform Eobard and his plans.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/legends-of-tomorrow-matt-letscher-legion-of-doom-reverse-flash-captain-cold/ KEIYNAN LONSDALE TALKS WALLY'S TRANSFORMATION INTO KID FLASH (Date: 31 Jan 2017) Interview with CBR. When asked about Savitar, he said, “Savitar is the biggest threat that any of them have faced. Fortunately, Barry doesn't have to do this alone. He's always had Team Flash. Other people are getting powers. It's going to take everyone working together to stop him. Wally is super-crucial to that.” Also, he won't be singing in the musical episode. She wrote “Super Friend,” which will be performed by Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist. The episode will also feature an original song written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen) called “Runnin' Home to You” that Gustin will perform. Details of her character aren't known, but it's described by the CW as “a mysterious new role that will become the new Big Bad of Season 2.” Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg said of Hatcher's casting, “No offense to any of the wonderful actresses who have also played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all time favorite Lois Lane. To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, Greg, and the fans.” Link:http://deadline.com/2017/01/supergirl-teri-hatcher-season-2-cast-recurring-1201898430/ ‘Black Lightning' Drama Eyes Move To the CW To Join Greg Berlanti Comic Lineup (Date: 02 Feb 2017) Deadline has learned that Black Lightning, the high-profile drama based on the DC character, which had a big production commitment at Fox, is on the move and likely to land at the CW. The project comes from Greg Berlanti, king of the CW's DC universe. Fox brass ultimately decided that the superhero show was not a good fit. The CW is home of Berlanti Prods.'s four DC/WBTV superhero series — Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, which Berlanti also co-created. That makes the network a suitable home for Black Lightning, which would give the CW's DC universe its first major African American superhero. Black Lightning would be the only black superhero toplining his own broadcast series and the second currently on TV, joining Marvel's Luke Cage on Netflix. Amertek Industries is a weapons manufacturer, tech conglomerate and defense contractor arguably best known for their biggest gun (literally and figuratively), the "Toastmaster" BG-80. Designed by John Henry Irons, their brutality turned him off of weapons-making and he left Amertek to go into hiding, taking on the name Henry Johnson. The guns would later make their way into the hands of street gangs in Metropolis and Washington, DC. Seeing his weapons on the streets, coupled with the then-recent death of his idol Superman, led Irons to take on the armored superhero identity of Steel. Ragman - In the show, Ragman's family was killed when the missile hit Havenrock. In the comics, Ragman is a Gotham-based vigilante who wears the mystical Suit of Souls, from which his powers come. Created by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert, Ragman has a bit of a Ghost Rider thing going on, with the costume allowing him to take the souls of the guilty -- except that in the case of Ragman, he can summon their abilities later in battle. By being used in this way, the evil can actually earn redemption and passage to Heaven. ARROW NEWS: Supergirl and Arrow Boss Says Ollie and Kara won't get along (Date: 11 Oct 2016) As per Andrew Kreisberg regarding the crossover “Part of Oliver's [Stephen Amell] journey in those episodes is he's kind of hit his breaking point for things he's willing to accept. He's had Mirakuru soldiers, the Lazarus Pit, magic, and Damien Darhk, but flying aliens who can incinerate you with their eyes is one beyond the pale for him. He's keeping his distance, which is a very Oliver thing to do. Even Kara comments, ‘Does he not like me?' Barry's like, ‘No, that's kind of how he treats everybody.' It's basically a huge three-part story that also brings in Supergirl, so it's crossing over all four shows. It's telling one big epic movie of a story. It's not setting up any other spin-offs, it's just big, bombastic, huge action. There's also some really poignant character moments. There's a lot of plot lines, particularly I would say in Flash and Legends, that come to fruition in the crossover. It's by far the most ambitious thing we've ever attempted. I want to say it's by far one of the most ambitious things anyone in network television has ever attempted. Via Andrew Kresberg: “James has a pretty big turn coming up. These next few episodes are going to make him realize that being a photographer… is not enough for him, so he's going to go on a pretty exciting career trajectory that we're really pumped by. James is going to decide that he can no longer sit back and be a sidekick, so he's going to decide to become a vigilante and he's going to become Guardian — complete with the shield — which is going to cause a massive problem in his relationship with Kara [Melissa Benoist], because he has decided not to tell her. Now there's this new masked vigilante, and she has her own feelings about vigilantes, and it becomes a push and pull about who gets to decide who gets to be a hero? He's recruited Winn [Jeremy Jordan] to help him, Winn is his man in the van, so the two of them are doing this together. Winn and James together is comedy gold. Watching Winn, as he takes his job at the DEO, but then he's lying to everybody about how he's spending his nights, because he's going out with James, and how he walks in exhausted or walks in with a black eye and says he walked into a door, is the fun excitement of building these first 10 episodes.” Link: http://www.blastr.com/2016-10-12/james-olsen-become-dc-comics-vigilante-guardian-cws-supergirl Did Flashpoint create a future Legends of Tomorrow superhero? What's the Flashpoint connection? CURRENT EPISODE DC EASTER EGGS & POP CULTURE REFERENCES Article: http://comicbook.com/2016/10/05/arrow-easter-eggs-and-dc-comics-references-in-legacy (comicbook.com) Captain Pike - Is that a Star Trek reference? We really can't decide. Either way, per his nametag, that police captain talking to Thea in the opening scene appears to be "Captain Pike," the captain of the USS Enterprise immediately prior to James T. Kirk. Lonnie Machin - A recurring villain from season four of Arrow, Lonnie Machin (the first baddie Oliver fights in season five) is better known to DC Comics fans as the antihero Anarky. Wild Dog - the first new member of Team Arrow version 2.0 was introduced to the audience, in the form of Wild Dog, a hockey mask-wearing, gun-toting vigilante who was inspired by -- and then shot in the kneecap by -- Green Arrow. The character first appeared in Wild Dog #1 in 1987, making him one of the first new superheroes created following Crisis on Infinite Earths. Created by Road to Perdition writer Max Allan Collins, "his super power is guns." Konstantin Kovar - Konstantin Kovar is the father of Leonid Kovar, better known as Red Star. In the comics, Konstantin originally wasn't a villain, but a relatively benign figure: an archaeologist who unearthed a nasty bit of business that gave his son powers. But Red Star himself, a loyal communist in the Soviet era, was occasionally a problem for the other heroes before he turned his life around. Eventually, he would become a bad guy in service of the Soviet Union -- something that might make him an interesting figure going forward in case Anatoly Knyazev's comic book destiny of becoming the cybernetically-enhanced "KGBeast" is to become part of Arrow's story. Tobias Church - Church's nickname is apparently Charon, the ferryman of Hades from Greek mythology. There is a Charon in DC Comics, although he shares basically nothing in common with this version. This is something that will be repeated again in the episode: choosing a historical/mythological meaning instead of a contemporary/comics one. Vigilante - "Mr. Ski Goggles," as Felicity calls him, is actually Vigilante, a DC Comics antihero created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. Perez provided the police sketch seen on Felicity's computer screen. Created during Marv Wolfman's time on the New Teen Titans, Vigilante in the comics is a former New York district attorney who's set on the path of justice after hsi family is killed by the mob. The CW describes him similarly: Chase is "Star City's new district attorney and an ally of Mayor Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who aims to clean up the streets through the legal system." Hub City and Bludhaven - According to Detective Malone, before he made his way to Star City, apparently he haunted Hub City -- the home of The Question -- and Bludhaven, the home of Nightwing. Ross Paints - Is that a little bit of free advertising for comic book artist and painter Alex Ross on the side of the truck Tobias Church and his goons are driving to their crime spree? Bertinelli - Whoever the head of the Bertinelli crime family is now that Helena has killed her father, he makes an appearance here -- only to be immediately killed by Tobias Church's men. When asked about Prometheus, Stephen said, “ Prometheus is a villain that is a byproduct of Oliver Queen being Green Arrow. That's something that you get to do once you're five years into a show. In a lot of ways, I think the most success that we've had with a villain, in my mind, was with Manu Bennett as Deathstroke. One of the reasons is because we got to tell a really personal story. We got to tell the story, sort of the dueling time of their time on the island and then their time in the Starling City at the time. Because Prometheus is a villain of Oliver's creation, so to speak, I feel like it will bring in that personal element as well.” Link:http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/10/05/arrow-stephen-amell-talks-legacy-russia-and-why-prometheus-is-the-right-villain-for-season-5 Spartan's new helmet and a Diggle/Oliver-centric episode of Arrow is coming (Date: 02 Oct 2016) Bleeding Cool - Picture of Diggle in his new helmet.
