MLB went from no drug policy in 2002 to anonymous testing in 2003, to counseling for positive tests in 2004, to a dozen 10-day suspensions this year. Starting next year, an initial positive test will result in a 50-game suspension, and players will be tested for amphetamines for the first time, with penalties for a second positive result.MLB took similar shots in 1973, many people don't realize this, but they were on the hot seat by the Staggers Committee that found steroid and amphetamine use in baseball was alarming in November of 1973. Bowie Kuhn was there and testified under oath along with Bud Selig. They did vow to clean up the game and congress let them off easy and never reviled the names of the players, unlike 2003. Dealt to the St. Louis Cardinals early in his career, Smith became one of the most popular players in franchise history. He had several great moments in the postseason, including a game-winning homer in Game 3 of the 1966 World Series, and a leaping catch the next day to prevent a home run.In 1970, Blair was hit in the cheek, under his left eye, by a fastball from Ken Tatum of the Angels. It shattered about four different bones in his face and he underwent surgery. He missed 21 games but rebounded to play another 10 seasons. This morning I will be changing Topics. Instead of continuing in the Book of Revelation, I thought it best if I were to talk about the Birth of Yahshua Messiah or as many Christians say Jesus Christ. Now I know that next Sunday many churches in Sussex County and across this great nation and throughout the world will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ or as I like to say Yahshua Messiah. But here lies the question that I am asking you, the listeners this morning, “Was Yahshua Messiah really born on our December 25?Can your pastor or reverend tell you without batting an eye that Yahshua Messiah was born on December 25th? Many pastors will tell you that we may not know the exact date, but that's okay, because this is the day that the church fathers of old picked! My dear friends, the problem with that answer is the fact that December 25 is actually a pagan holiday! That's right, you heard me, a pagan holiday!Paul wrote in Colossians 2:8, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Yahshua Messiah.” Luke Chapter 1 verse 5Abijah = This was the eighth of the priestly courses of ministration in the Temple (1 Chronicles 24:10), and occurred, as did the others, twice in the year. The "Courses" were changed every week, beginning each with a Sabbath. The reckoning commenced on the 22nd day of Tisri Bearing in mind that all the courses served together at the three Great Feasts, the dates for the two yearly "ministrations" of Abiah will be seen to fall as follows: The first 9 ministration was from 12-18 Chisleu = December 6-12. The second ministration was from 12-18 Sivan = June 13-19. The announcement therefore to Zacharias in the Temple as to the conception of John the Baptist took place between 12-18 SIVAN (June 13-19), in the year 5 B.C. After finishing his "ministration", the aged priest "departed to his own house" (Luke 1:23), which was in a city10 in "the hill country" of Juda (verse 39). The day following the end of the "Course of Abia" being a Sabbath (Sivan 19), he would not be able to leave Jerusalem before the 20th. The thirty miles journey would probably occupy, for an old man, a couple of days at least. He would therefore arrive at his house on the 21st or 22nd. This leaves ample time for the miraculous "conception" of Elizabeth to take place on or about 23rd of SIVAN 11 - which would correspond to June 23-24 of that year. The fact of the conception and its date would necessarily be known at the time and afterwards, and hence the 23rd SIVAN would henceforth be associated with the conception of John Baptist as the 1st TEBETH would be with that of our Lord. The conception of John Baptist | on or about 23rd SIVAN = June 24 | in the year 5 B.C. The Gennesis (Begetting) of our Lord | on or about 1st TEBETH = December 25 | in the year 5 B.C. The birth of John Baptist | on or about 4th-7th NISAN = March 25-28 | in the year 4 B.C. The birth of our Lord | on or about 15th TISRI = September 29 | in the year 4 B.C. 280 days = 40 weeks - forty sevens, the perfect period of human gestation7x5x8=280]. The Component Numbers of 280 are highly significant in this connection. 7 denotes Spiritual Perfection. 5 denotes Divine Grace. 8 denotes Resurrection, Regeneration, Join me as we go Chapter by Chapter, Verse by Verse, Unraveling the Words of Yahweh!Have any questions? THE CENTURION: A TALE OF THE CRUCIFIXION by Joe Mack High In the days of the Roman Empire, Animus’s family was not landowners, but part of the land with the forests and fields. Animus has never been away from home. But when the land can no longer support his family, he travels to Tarsus to join Pompey’s navy and fights in the war against Cilician pirates threatening grain shipments and other goods destined for Rome. After Animus sets into motion events that ultimately transform him into a landowner and lift his family from poverty, his son, Cyrus, attends the University of Tarsus, marries well, and provides an environment that further prepares his own son, Cornelius, for his destiny. When Cornelius joins the Roman legion and becomes First Centurion of the Tenth Legion under Pontius Pilate, he befriends Jesus. The intertwining paths of these two men bring them together for a final encounter when Cornelius requests that Pilate put him in command of the crucifixion party. The Centurion: A Tale of the Crucifixion traces three generations in an adventurous, thought-provoking story as a Roman soldier sets out on a journey of self-discovery to meet his destiny. Born December 22, 1924, Yancey County, North Carolina. the heart of Appalachia: no electricity, no indoor plumbing, no telephone, no newspaper, no paved road, but an Eden on Earth to me. Graduated from high school June 1942 Joined Marine Corps January 1943, afraid the war would be over before I could get there. Trained as a telephone lineman to lay telephone lines up and down beach and into command posts. Made four assault landings. Discharged November 1945, rank: Pfc. I had planned to return to Yancey County, buy some land and farm, but my parents insisted I enroll in a small liberal arts college. I survived the first term and fell in love with coursework. I majored in business and had minors in English and philosophy. I graduated in May 1949. I enrolled in graduate school and received a Masters Degree in Economics and Accounting, graduating in May 1950 North Korea invaded South Korea in June 1950. I was recalled to active duty with the Marine Corp, but did not get to Korea. I was discharged with rank of Corporal in summer of 951 I began a career in accounting, passed the CPA exam, and taught accounting at a small college. As a second job, I worked as an auditor for a local CPA firm, and began to build my own tax practice. In 2015 - 2016 my eyesight began to fail and I gave up my practice. I had married in 1947, now had two grown children, two grandchildren, and now five great grandchildren. A Marine friend, seriously wounded in Vietnam, had written a well-received autobiography. He encouraged me to consider writing. I asked a client, about my age, a retired English teacher at the University of Tennessee, to take on the task of teaching me to write. She was a hard taskmaster, but finally turned my experience writing audit reports into acceptable prose. In two years, with her coaching, I had a 700 page novel called The Centurion. A local editor, a teacher of creative writing, marked up the text. As I was unable to do so, another editor agreed to help me in the editing of the novel, reducing it to about 350 pages. The two editors made the novel. My life has been a great adventure. Except for the debauchery in Rome, the novel is the story of my life. https://www.amazon.com/Centurion-Crucifixion-Joe-Mack-High-ebook/dp/B07H6FZ7KZ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Joe+Mack+High&qid=1598971617&s=books&sr=1-1 www.TheCenturionNovel.com http://www.bluefunkbroadcasting.com/root/twia/josmackhigh.mp3

Born December 11th 1971, Cameron Shayne is considered the father of the mixed movement arts culture. He is a social philosopher, educator, fighter, yogi, satirist, artist, writer, and founder of Budokon University. Based in Los Angeles, CA, during the 90's, the mecca for yoga in the Western world, Cameron established himself as one of the pioneering voices and transmitters of contemporary yoga and martial arts. As a teacher of teachers, he is renown for his founding of the Budokon Yoga style, the Budokon Mixed Movement Arts System, and his inspiring and provocative writings on the contemporary movement scene. His radically honest and transparent style of teaching through critical analysis has established him as a guiding voice for modern yoga and the movement culture. Cameron and Kyle cover a lot of ground in this conversation. Cameron discusses developing an athletic foundation, and the ability to move between various movement languages, rather than only being focussed on tricks. He talks about teaching, studentship, learning, and mastery of craft; qualities that can be confused or lost in the age of social media. He also shares how education of the various modalities of his Budokon system are integrated. And, he talks about the illusion of an objective reality.

We welcome back Dr. Bill Andrews of Sierra Sciences to further expand on research into telomeres and telomerase for extending lifespan. Dr. Andrews explains how the existing research shows that there are potential telomere lengtheners, but they are still losing the tug-of-war with telomere shortening. He talks about how lack of funding may be the primary obstacle for telomere breakthroughs. Dr. Andrews also explains the actual link between telomerase and cancer, which is often misunderstood. They also consider the implications of gene therapy and gene editing in terms of producing telomerase. The main cause of telomere shortening is a lack of telomerase, though some things accelerate the process, like oxidative stress and inflammation. The doctors list a number of things people can do to reduce oxidative stress, including lifestyle changes and supplements that can help. Learn more about products by defytime® here. For information on IsaGenesis®/Product B, visit here. Learn more about Life Length: https://lifelength.com/ Learn more about RAADfest. On This Week on Longevity Science, Robb Taylor talks about the potential of Vitamin C to help in cancer therapy. Read more on the blog. Ask yourself: How serious am I about altering my lifestyle to protect my telomere lengths, and how much of my life, thought process and financial resources should I devote to this? Special Guest: Dr. Bill Andrews is the President and CEO of Sierra Sciences. As a scientist, athlete and executive, he continually pushes the envelope and challenges convention. He has been featured in Popular Science, The Today Show and numerous documentaries on the topic of life extension, including, most recently, the movie The Immortalists in which he co-stars with Aubrey de Grey. Since 1981, Bill Andrews has focused on finding ways to extend the human lifespan and healthspan through telomere maintenance. As one of the principal discoverers of both the RNA and protein components of human telomerase, Dr. Andrews was awarded 2nd place as "National Inventor of the Year" in 1997. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular and Population Genetics at the University of Georgia in 1981. He has served as Senior Scientist at Armos Corporation and Codon Corporation, Director of Molecular Biology at Berlex Biosciences and at Geron Corporation, and Director of Technology Development at EOS Biosciences. He is also a named inventor on over 50+ US issued patents on telomerase and author of numerous scientific research studies published in peer reviewed scientific journals. Bill is also an avid ultra-marathon runner. Born December 10, 1951, he regularly competes in 100k and 100+ mile runs often finishing at the top of his age group. These grueling races have taken him all over the world to race in some of the most extreme environments, from Death Valley to the Himalayas. His running is presently featured in the movie The High. On this episode, we’re featuring a special RAAD Fest discussion from last year between Dr. Gladden and Dr. Bill Andrews, one of the leading scientists in telomere research. Dr. Andrews explains how telomeres work and how the length impacts your life expectancy. Put simply, longer telomeres are always good, and the shortening of them is always associated with disease and cell death. Dr. Andrews mentions the book, The Telomere Effect by Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn and Dr. Elissa Epel, regarding slowing the shortening of telomeres. They discuss the research into telomerase activators and the hope for working toward lengthening telomeres. He discusses TAM-818 and TA-65® as means to reduce the rate of telomere shortening and offers up his top three suggestions on what people can do to extend their lives. Born December 21st, 1990; Matthew Ryan Herget is an emerging self-taught artist from Miami, FL. After attending University for two years, Herget opted to leave formal education to pursue his personal calling in life; to live as a contemporary explorer. Herget's work is what he calls, a "constant collaboration" between himself at all points in his life. The evolution of his work mimics the evolution of his own self - a student of life, the mind, nature, and spirituality; Herget continues to explore anew without losing the childlike confidence that propelled him to the person he is today. Earlier paintings consist of juxtapositions of visual metaphors that tend to represent overcoming personal fears and limitations. These juxtapositions mix serious tones with playful imagery: an ode to finding who he is while at the same time never forgetting where he was. Newer paintings jump in and out of the boundaries of form and abstraction. Occasionally paintings are figurative while others take the shape of full on abstraction: a reflection of where Matthew is currently in his personal journey. Matthew's process in the studio is that of high-energy and adventure. Paintings usually begin with no set concept and evolve into a dialogue of mark-making and feeling between the painter and painting. Dozens of paintings are often worked on at the same time and rotated throughout the studio. His painting style relies heavily on instinct, risk, and uncertainty. Things that are learned today may be dropped tomorrow in an effort to consistently keep oneself open to change and discovery. Herget's main focus is making the process the reward, and to allowing that process and inner voice to mold and evolve what comes of the process, as it pleases. “Each piece is a journey in-and-of itself. I’m constantly trying to take it somewhere that I haven’t been before. The way I paint is kind of a metaphor for who I am, and why I’m here. It’s not about taking it to a point where you can see something; it’s about bringing it to a place where you can feel something. We all have a space suit on; whether it sits in the closet or goes to the moon is a choice we get to make. It’s a constant mission of finding ourselves. I think that pursuit is nurtured by consistently pushing ourselves further than we did yesterday. That’s how we change, grow, and evolve. That’s what these paintings are about. It’s pretty simple, but means a lot to me." Matthew Ryan Herget currently works out of Los Angeles, CA. Welcome the extrodinary Randy Hansen to NWP! Francis Ford Coppola personally called Randy Hansen in 1979 to compose music for his upcoming fillm, Apocalypse Now. Randy accepted and composed the first 17 minutes of the soundtrack that won the Academy Award for Best Soundtrack in 1980 and remains a cult classic today. Born December 8, 1954 in Seattle, Washington Randy is a U.S. guitarist, best known for his emulation of Jimi Hendrix. He clearly has a bit of physical resemblance to Hendrix in his facial features, and carries that resemblance further by emulating such signatures of Hendrix's style as playing a guitar with his teeth or behind his back. Randy is one of only a couple guitarist offically endorsed by the Hendrix family. Hansen's high energy guitar work has earned praise from fellow Dutch-American, legendary guitarist, Eddie Van Halen (in Guitar Player magazine), among others. He also was a good friend of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan (writing a song about him called "Texas Twister" from his Old Dogs New Tricks CD). He has toured and played with literally hundreds of famous musicians and groups. I talk to Randy about "the call" from Coppola, his career and all the amazing artists he has worked with over his career. PLUS lets hear more stories from the rock & roll road! www.randyhansen.com In the second half of my show, I welcome Caspian Coberly. Caspian is the Jr. High guitar phenom heading out on tour with some of the biggest names in rock and roll!
