Families are our foundation of being. Maria Mirkovich noticed that dysfunctions begin with family life. Everything starts with our programming with parents and relatives. When children start having trouble, she looks at the family system and beliefs that the family holds. That was Maria's purpose to name her show Family Today. Valeria Teles interviews Maria Mirkovich - She is Life Coach, Host and Producer of the Family Today Tv Show, an author and a speaker. Maria is a Life Coach and has completed her certification for training. She earned the Inner Child Workshop certification in Arizona, and has also received certificate credits with John Bradshaw, a Relational Certification with Pia Melody and Terrance Real, Symposium at Princeton, attended workshops in South Hampton Symposium, and trained with Peak Potentials Maria works with a system that works with people's life purpose. Maria is currently writing the book: Visions Of Medjugorge and it will be published soon. She wrote a poem, “Waves of the Ocean” in a book of poetry in 2001 and is in the midst of writing another book. Maria was born in Croatia and lived in Italy prior to arriving in the USA. Before hosting and producing her own show, she hosted Mondo Italiano TV where she translated the news from Italian to English. Later on she had her own 20 minute segment. Maria was offered a cable tv show for a 1/2 hour. She became a host and producer of Family Today. She has many guests that appear on her show & mainly talk about family dynamics. On her live seminar her guests were very distinguished people who offered their topics. This included Bob Proctor representative (THE SECRET) and many other well-known teachers. The Greatest Love After Love of God The Greatness of Marriage and Family Today's Gospel starts with a question from the Pharisees. The story centers on marriage. Jesus states … “therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate”. The Pharisees miss the point by asking a question; Does God allow a person to obtain a divorce? The question misses the point. It is not what I am allowed to do, but what one should do! Jesus goes on and answers . . . what should one do. In the homily, it is stated that the love of man for his wife, and the wife's love for her husband (after the human heart's love for God), is the greatest of love. All other types of love are the child of this love. The Pharisees had an attitude of trying to trick Jesus. Because of their attitude, they did not understand marriage. They did not understand the beauty of the family. Jesus turns a question into a discussion on what marriage is and the importance of the family. He makes a statement on the God given greatness of marriage . . . a statement on the greatness of the family. Jesus talks about what God intended for marriage and the family. Jesus tells us of the dignity of marriage given to us by God! Hear more about this fundamental order within humans. For the average Latino family, it will take 84 years. Absent significant policy interventions, or a seismic change in the American  People of color will never close the gap. THE IMPORTANCE OF STAYING CONNECTED IN REAL LIFE Psychiatrist Discusses the Emotional Impact of Non-Digital Touchpoints in the Digital Age There are so many ways to reach out to and stay in touch with friends and family today, yet somehow, it’s common to feel less connected than ever, even with so many friends just a click away. With headlines about increasing loneliness a common theme, along with the constant bombardment of bad news from social media feeds and the 24-hour news cycle, many people now suffer from “compassion fatigue,” which can cause them to shut down emotionally—leading them to communicate via emojis more often than taking the time to share their true emotions. A new study by Hallmark shows that in the digital age, people are craving authentic connections, and with texts and social posts being such a common, everyday occurrence, a greeting card stands out as a more meaningful way to communicate. In fact, consumers agree they would prefer a card over a text with the same message. And, while people are more likely to send or receive cards for a specific occasion, receiving a card just because or for an unexpected moment is even more impactful. Surprisingly, the study also found that while millennials grew up during the technological revolution, they were the most likely to find expressing their feelings by putting pen to card as a meaningful way to strengthen a relationship. The Christian family has a unique role, by God's design. Based on today's standards, one might question that. Couples and their children are taking a closer look at what family life is meant to be and can be. Today, the battle for the family is evident! And, the family has become a target of humanism – the amoral, atheistic philosophy that pervades our whole culture. So the questions are, "How shall we go about protecting our home and our families? And what must we do?” We need to know what God intended and purposed for the family. Families have to be aware of and discern the influences that saturate our daily life – all those things that are contrary to God's Word. Then, once we know, believe and accept these, we can make a deliberate decision to live by God's standards. Our goal is to uncover the importance of the family and its role. We will discuss the number one enemy of the family. We will also examine the role of husband, wife, and children.  And, lastly, we ask that you please pray with us about how to survive the battle of the family. The "Bitter Root" in blended families is known by many names and damages children and parental relationships. Scripture shares in HEBREWS 12 : 14-15 ... '...make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.' God wants us to work to 'live in peace'...yet often a 'bitter root' from divorce damages and causes... Indoctrination. Parental Alienation. Brainwashing. Whatever it's called...it damages hearts and minds. Dan and Rebecca Snell hear often from step-families via mail and at their B3 Conferences (From Broken to Blended to BONDED) conferences about the hurtful nature of the 'other home' or the 'former spouse'. Or how a child has developed innocently a bitter root in their attitude toward a parent.
