Honda, con dudas. Una de las noticias más importantes a tratar son las dudas de Honda respecto al motor de 2026. Honda ha sido el último en pronunciarse al respecto, pero no el único. Y hay que hablar a fondo del tema. Por otro lado, y ya desde un punto de vista más lúdico, en este primer episodio de la semana se hablará de los salarios de los pilotos en 2025… ¿quién es el que más cobra? La FIA y las alas flexibles. La FIA actuará sobre las alas flexibles. Después de asegurar que no lo harían, la FIA prevé una normativa que será más dura desde el GP de España, en un intento de atajar las polémicas sobre el uso de la flexibilidad para mejorar las prestaciones. En Red Bull, por supuesto, están furiosos por esa nueva directiva técnica, pues afirman que esto les costará 600.000 euros y que la FIA lo ha hecho después de asegurar que no lo haría. ¿Porpoising de nuevo en 2025? Otro de los temas debatidos será el porpoising, que podría volver en 2025. Y es que los equipos temen que la nueva directiva técnica sobre flexibilidad tenga, además, este efecto negativo sobre los monoplazas. After two seasons of struggles, Mercedes abandoned its old car philosophy for something new in 2024. But although the W15 has shown flashes of speed, there were worrying signs in Saudi Arabia that the new machine is suffering from an affliction that has haunted the team since the start of the current ground effect era: Porpoising. Auf der traditionsreichen "Ardennen-Achterbahn" konnte Max Verstappen einen gnadenlos souveränen Sieg feiern. Der Weltmeister fuhr in 12 Runden von Platz 14 auf Platz 1 vor und machte so einen weiteren Schritt Richtung Titelverteidigung. Die Starting Grid-Reisegruppe, angeführt vom Moderatoren-Duo Kevin Scheuren und Sophie Affeldt, war live vor Ort. Heute gibt es mit Christian Nimmervoll, dem Chefredakteur des Motorsport Network Germany, nicht nur eine sportliche Analyse, sondern auch einen emotionalen Blick zurück auf ein Wochenende mit Camping, klettern und guter Laune! Max Verstappen uneinholbar, Lewis Hamilton fehlerhaft Eine Motorenstrafe kann Max Verstappen genauso wenig aufhalten wie die 13 Fahrer, die am Sonntag beim Großen Preis von Belgien vor ihm gestartet sind. Der Niederländer raste mit Vollgas nach vorne und sicherte sich einen komfortablen Sieg, der ihn immer näher zur zweiten Weltmeisterschaft führt. Sein ärgster Rivale der Vorsaison dagegen, Lewis Hamilton, erwischte ein Horrorwochenende. Der Mercedes war nie wirklich auf der Höhe und dann baute der Brite auch noch einen dummen Fehler in der ersten Runde ein. Nach einem Kontakt mit Fernando Alonso musste der Brite sein Auto abstellen. Der größte Gewinner und der größte Verlierer des Wochenendes in der Nachbesprechung. Ferrari und McLaren pfui, Alpine und Williams/Albon hui Wenn wir auf weitere Verlierer des Wochenendes und Sonntags schauen, dann landen wir unweigerlich bei Ferrari und McLaren. Bei den Roten scheint das Porpoising in Belgien heftiger gewesen zu sein und auch die Strategieabteilung erwies sich erneut als wenig hilfreich. Charles Leclerc musste während des Rennens eifrig über die Reifenwahl diskutieren, Carlos Sainz wurde in den größeren Verkehr geschickt und auch sonst scheint Red Bull enteilt zu sein. Bei McLaren suchte man das ganze Wochenende vergeblich den Grip in Kurve 1. Lando Norris und Daniel Ricciardo hatten ihre liebe Mühe und gingen am Ende beide leer aus. Mit vollen Punktetüten kommt Alpine nach Hause. Fernando Alonso und Esteban Ocon haben mächtig abgeliefert und sammelten wichtige Zähler im Zweikampf mit McLaren. Ebenso Grund zur Freude hatte Williams mit Alexander Albon, der ein herausragendes Rennen ablieferte! Audi steigt ein, Mick aber aus? Aus deutscher Sicht war das Wochenende in Spa eher durchwachsen. Sebastian Vettel kam zwar in die Punkte, die Performance des Aston Martin war aber erneut eher mau. Die Abschiedstour von Vettel unter tosendem Beifall der anwesenden Fans rund um die Strecke in Spa-Franchorchamps ging aber mit guten Gefühlen weiter. Ob Mick Schumacher diese guten Gefühle für Haas noch hat, das weiß niemand. Klar scheint aber, dass er sich am Ende der Saison von Ferrari trennen und seinen eigenen Weg in der Formel 1 gehen wird. In dieser Ausgabe haben wir vor der Verlautbarung dieser Information über die möglichen Alternativen gesprochen und einige Theorien gesponnen. Keine Theorie dagegen wird der Einstieg von Audi ab der Saison 2026 ein. Das gab man am Wochenende in Belgien bekannt. Alles dazu erzählt uns heute Christian Nimmervoll! F1 gucken mit Freunden - so wunderbar war es in Spa! Für das Starting Grid-Team war es ein tolles Wochenende. Nuevas ruedas, más peso y tamaño, mayor rigidez, efecto ala, porpoising… la pregunta es: ¿Son los Fórmula1 de 2022 más difíciles de conducir que sus antecesores? Según los pilotos e ingenieros, sin duda sí. Veamos por qué. Os voy a ayudar a “entender” cómo se comporta un F1. ¿Subviraje o sobreviraje? ¡Todo a la vez! Los F1 no son complicados de conducir ni muy complicados… ¡son complicadísimos! Por muchos motivos que contamos en el vídeo de “Cómo se conduce un F1: Guía práctica”. Pero hoy nos vamos a centrar en su comportamiento en curva. Los F1 tienen mucho apoyo aerodinámico y eso hace que sean muy rápidos en curva rápida, pero muy delicados, pues cuando pierden adherencia lo hacen de manera muy brusca. Pero en curva lenta, sin apoyo aerodinámico, les cuesta entrar en las curvas, es decir, son subviradores. Y al mismo tiempo, como son ligeros y muy potentes, si no eres cuidadoso con el acelerador, la potencia supera a la adherencia y son muy sobreviradores. Porpoising, un invitado inesperado. Me encanta la FIA, me parecen unos políticos de primer nivel. Mandan un comunicado diciendo que son conscientes de que no esperaban el fenómeno del porpoising y diciendo que es malo para los pilotos… eso ya lo sabíamos sin necesidad de que la FIA nos dijese nada. Pero añade que va a tomar medidas para evitarlo… pero no dice cuáles… y termina diciendo que aceptará las recomendaciones de los equipos… o sea, que no tienen ni idea y quiere que el problema que ellos han causado, se lo solucionen otros… Coches más rígidos. Con el efecto ala o suelo, como queráis llamarlo, la distancia del fondo del coche al suelo es crítica: Interesa que sea la menor posible y que no varíe. ¿En qué se traduce esto? Muy sencillo: En suspensiones más duras. Además, el propio chasis es más rígido. La suma de un chasis rígido y una suspensión dura tiene el resultado que todos podéis imaginar: El coche es más violento al límite. Una suspensión más suave o un chasis que flexa más, resultan menos eficientes, pero son más “amables” al límite. Los F1 2022 son más violentos que antes. Más bloqueos en frenada. Un coche más pesado tiene más inercia y si encima va pegando botes es fácil imaginar que va a pasar: El piloto frena y cuando el coche “bota” hacia arriba, la presión entre el neumático y el asfalto es menor y la rueda bloquea… esto lo vemos en cada G.P., en esta nueva F1 los bloqueos son más frecuentes. Aerodinámica: Peor en curva lenta. Los apéndices aerodinámicos y los alerones que llevaban los coches con el reglamento anterior impedían que los coche pudiesen ir uno tras otro, es decir, al rebufo. Pero eran más eficaces a baja velocidad. Los monoplazas 2022 generan la mayor parte del apoyo aerodinámico gracias al efecto suelo… que funciona bien cuando el coche va rápido. Así que estos nuevos monoplazas más grandes, más pesados, más rígidos, pero con menor apoyo aerodinámico, en curvas lentas son mucho menos eficaces, porque subviran, vamos que les cuesta entrar en la curva. Neumáticos: Mejor detrás que delante. Los neumáticos siempre son clave en la F1, pero ahora quizás más aún. Desde el principio en esta F1 2022 los pilotos se han quejado de subviraje y han alabado la motricidad de estos nuevos neumáticos. Y esa motricidad, en un coche de propulsión posterior, genera aún más subviraje, pues el coche “empuja” a las ruedas delanteras, aunque estén giradas. Así que los pilotos alaban los neumáticos posteriores, mientras que se quejan de subviraje y de bloqueos de las ruedas delanteras… por eso decíamos mejor delante que detrás. Muchos pensamos que el hecho de que los neumáticos sean únicos, en este caso Pirelli, no es bueno. Mejor que hubiese competencia. Los pilotos a prueba. Verstappen es un crack y eso lo demuestra en la pista, pero también en sus declaraciones. Este año cuando le han preguntado si los nuevos coches se adaptan a su estilo de conducción, su respuesta denota lo bueno que es: “Los pilotos que son buenos saben adaptarse a los diferentes coches y distintas situaciones”. ¡Bien dicho! Y este año hemos tenido la oportunidad de ver que hay pilotos capaces de adaptar su conducción a los nuevos coches y otros que no se adaptan o que les cuesta más… fijaos en Russel y Hamilton. Conclusión. Llevar rápido cualquier F1 de cualquier época y sea cual sea el reglamento es algo al alcance de muy pocos mortales. De muy pocos. Y cuanto más difícil es de conducir un determinado coche de una determinada categoría, más “discrimina” el piloto. Así que dejo la conclusión a Max Verstappen que dice: “Mi estilo es adaptarme al coche que tengo”. Este chico llegará muy lejos. Coche del día. El Alfa Romeo 4C ya ha sido coche del día. Pero me da igual, no me importa tener dos.

Was können wir von den Nummer-2-Fahrern Perez und Sainz erwarten? Das Vips-Drama und die Folgen Jüri Vips ist nicht mehr Teil der Red Bull Driver Academy. Seine rassistischen Äußerungen in einem Twitch-Livestream haben erst zu einer Suspendierung und am gestrigen Dienstag dann zur Entlassung des 21-Jährigen Esten geführt. Es ist eine bittere Gemengelage, denn just am gestrigen Tag kam ein Interview mit Ex-F1-Weltmeister Nelson Piquet nochmal auf die Gazetten dieser Welt, in dem er im November letzten Jahres zwei Mal vermutlich rassistische Äußerungen in Richtung Lewis Hamilton vom Stapel ließ. Red Bull blieb dementsprechend nahezu keine andere Wahl als Vips aus dem Vertrag zu entlassen. Ob das nun fair ist oder nicht, das muss jeder für sich entscheiden, aber Vips hat bei diesem Drama auch eine Chance auf Rehabilitation verdient, wenn dies nicht seine eigene Ideologie wiedergegeben hat. Alfa Romeo als Geheimtipp für Platz 4? Wenn es um den "best of the rest" geht, dann sprechen wir immer von Platz 4 in der Konstrukteurswertung. Sophie Affeldt versucht heute den Themendschungel zu durchkreuzen und spricht mit Kevin Scheuren und Christian Nimmervoll, Chefredakteur des Motorsport Network Germany, über einige Schlüsselmomente des Wochenendes am Kaspischen Meer. Ferrari raucht ab, Red Bull fliegt davon Für Charles Leclerc werden es immer mehr Schläge ins Selbstvertrauen. Die vierte Pole in Folge, aber schon wieder kein Sieg. Sowohl bei ihm als auch bei seinem Teamkollegen Carlos Sainz streikte die Technik, die Motorenprobleme nehmen zu. Woran liegt das aber? Ist der Ferrari-Motor zu weit aufgedreht oder war das Bouncing verantwortlich? So oder so steht fest, dass die Ergebnisse wieder in eine bessere Richtung gelenkt werden müssen. Die Moral lässt bei den Italienern gerne mal nach und das spielt Red Bull natürlich voll in die Karten. Die drehen richtig auf und haben mit Max Verstappen wieder eine absolute Maschine im Cockpit gehabt. Kein Fehler, toller Start und Nervenstärke par excellence. Auch Sergio Perez konnte ihn diesmal nicht schlagen. Schlägt Leistung Moral? Es rappelt in der Kiste Mercedes und das Porpoising - eine niemals endende Geschichte. An diesem Wochenende wurden sowohl George Russell als auch Lewis Hamilton wieder ordentlich durchgerüttelt. Besonders Hamilton klagte über Rückenschmerzen und hatte beim Aussteigen sichtlich Probleme. Ganz offensichtlich ist es auch so, dass sich Hamilton voll in den Dienst des Teams stellt. Während George Russell gute Ergebnisse einfährt, testet Hamilton munter Teile, Setups und steckt ordentlich ein. Eigentlich ein tolles Beispiel für einen Teamplayer, wenn man sich nicht die Frage stellen müsste, ob er das freiwillig tut oder vom Team dazu angeordnet wird? Die Geschichte, wenn er 2023 dann nicht nur den jungen Russell auf den Weg zu seinem achten Titel schlagen würde, könnte entschädigen. Steiner im Kreuzverhör - Nimmervoll und Scheuren im Zwiegespräch Es war DAS Aufregerthema in der deutschen Formel-1-Szene am Sonntag. Peter Hardenacke nahm Haas-Teamchef Günther Steiner in die Mangel und musste sich dafür ordentlich was anhören. Es wurde ein heißer Tanz am Mikrofon, bei dem Hardenacke große Hartnäckigkeit unter Beweis gestellt hat und Steiner eher dünnhäutig auf die Kritikpunkte des Reporters reagieren konnte. Auf den sozialen Netzwerken hat sich die Meinung zu diesem Gespräch eher gespalten, auch bei uns. Während Christian Nimmervoll voll des Lobes für das Interview und die Führung von Peter Hardenacke war, so ist es Kevin Scheuren, der nicht wirklich zufrieden mit der Berichterstattung des Bezahlsenders war. Das perfekte Paket aus Leistung und Kurvenlage könnte im Vorteil sein, es gab aber auch schon extrem verrückte Rennen. Tras un fin de semana intenso en el mundo del Motorsport (aunque no tan divertido como esperábamos en algunas de las categorías), los chicos del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 nos hacen un análisis de todas las competiciones disputadas y nos preparan para el próximo fin de semana, donde tendremos un icónico Gran Premio de Fórmula 1 de vuelta tras dos años. Baku decepciona. Pero hay que llevar un orden y, en el primer episodio de la semana, los chicos del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 analizan el Gran Premio de Azerbaijan. Una carrera decepcionante, bastante aburrida, sin muchos momentos para resaltar. Pocos cambios de guión, a excepción del abandono de los dos Ferrari, que fue una de las causas del aburrimiento. Este abandono, por otra parte, deja al equipo muy lejos de la lucha por el Campeonato. En cualquier caso, hubo actuaciones meritorias, como las de Checo Pérez, Alonso, Vettel, Russell - que consigue un nuevo podio - y la impecable victoria de Verstappen. Y también ha habido “lío”, esta vez entre Mercedes y el “porpoising” que tantos quebraderos está dando. A todos los equipos, pero especialmente a la marca alemana. Rendimiento en Clasificación y “Porpoising”. Antes de entrar a comentar lo poco que dio de sí la carrera, los chicos del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 nos hablarán de lo que ocurrió el sábado y, entre otras cosas, de un tema que está dando mucho que hablar, sobre todo tras ver las imágenes al final de la carrera de Hamilton, con grandes dolores de espalda debido a los botes del coche en recta, el denominado “porpoising”. En cualquier caso, Russell terminó por delante, una vez más, de su compañero, en 5ª posición. Por delante de él, Sainz, que parece que no termina de adaptarse y sacarle todo el partido, como ha hecho en años anteriores con peores máquinas, a este nuevo coche. Leclerc, una vez más, lo dio todo sin un fallo en el momento preciso, y se llevó la Pole, seguido de Pérez, que traía el momentum del GP de Mónaco y supero a su compañero, que sólo pudo ser 3º. Una salida magistral de Pérez y problemas para Ferrari. A pesar de que Leclerc salía primero, no pudo conservar esa posición ni tan sólo una vuelta, pues Pérez hizo una gran salida, robándole la posición. De hecho, ambos Ferrari, quizás no debido a sus pilotos, salieron peor que los Red Bull. Ya en la vuelta 6 oíamos una radio de Sainz en la que se decía que los Red Bull eran muy rápido: su ritmo, de hecho, fue peor que los 3 de delante en medio segundo. Y en la vuelta 9 empezaba el drama: el madrileño abandonaba por un problema hidráulico que le afectaba al brake by wire, problema derivado de la transmisión. Una acción curiosa fue que, en la vuelta 13, Vettel se pasa de frenada y se sale de la pista, reincorporándose de inmediato (de una forma quizás no muy segura). Esta acción, y otras muy acertadas, le serviría para terminar la carrera en 6ª posición. Quizás debido a órdenes de equipo, quizás porque, ciertamente, su ritmo no era el mejor, en la vuelta 15, Pérez deja pasar a Verstappen. Fue una comunicación de radio y en ningún momento el mexicano se mostró en desacuerdo. De hecho, en la vuelta 17, Pérez entraba a cambiar gomas, y en la siguiente lo hacía Verstappen. Leclerc, mientras, se mantuvo en pista, haciendo un overcut a ambos pilotos, y colocándose como líder destacado de la carrera. Pero en la vuelta 20 el monegasco abandonaba con un problema en el motor de combustión interna, que deja la unidad de potencia irrecuperable. Ferrari, en las últimas carreras está mostrando mucha debilidad en este campo y en este GP, en concreto, 4 de los 6 abandonos fueron de unidades de potencia Ferrari (Zhou, Magnussen, Sainz y Leclerc). Algunas actuaciones muy buenas. A partir del abandono de Leclerc, sin dos de los actores principales de la función que ameniza los domingos, la carrera fue un paseo militar para Red Bull… y un aburrimiento para nosotros. Sin embargo, hubo algunas actuaciones muy buenas y remontadas importantes, como fueron las de Alonso, Vettel, Russell (que se lleva un podio más), Gasly (que volvió a darle muchos problemas a Hamilton) y del propio Hamilton con unos geniales adelantamientos a Ocon, Tsunoda y Gasly. Por último, destacar el show de radio de McLaren, entre las vueltas 45 y 51, donde Ricciardo, supuestamente, debía dejar pasar a Norris (que nunca llegó a acercarse) para meter presión a Alonso y que el asturiano cometiera algún error. Así queda el Mundial. Tras esta carrera, y a la espera de la vuelta de Canadá el próximo fin de semana, el Campeonato de pilotos queda comandado por Verstappen, con 150 puntos, seguido por Pérez (129), Leclerc (116), Russell (99), Sainz (5º con 83 puntos), Hamilton (62), Norris (50), Bottas (40), Ocon (31) y Gasly, que es 10º con 16 puntos. En cuanto al Campeonato de constructores, como decíamos, tiene a Red Bull en primera posición con mucha ventaja sobre Ferrari (279 a 199 puntos). Tras ellos, Mercedes (161), McLaren (65), Alpine (47), Alfa Romeo (41), AlphaTauri (27), Haas (15), Aston Martin (15) y Williams (3). We're catching up with shows over the next few days, and first up, the 2022 Spanish grand Prix for Formula 1, and it was a newsworthy and actually somewhat interesting edition of the series at Catalunya. At the front, it was a war of attrition. A massivbe gust of wind (No, Nico Rosberg), blew over the track and put Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen in the gravel early doors. But Max would climb back to 3rd, until a DRS wing failure caused him to be stuck behind George Russell for multiple laps... until Charles Leclerc's power unit fails from a 14 second lead. Ouch. Max would then win but not via a controversial and maybe somewhat unnecessary team orders call from Red Bull to swap him, and then race leader Sergio Perez. Right call? Wrong call? We debate that and the Ferrari's shortcomings in depth. We also talk Mercedes and their upgrades. Porpoising be gone, but they still aren't that fast. We think. It doesn't help that Lewis Hamilton was put in the gravel on the opening lap thanks to a marginal clash between him and Kevin Magnussen. Can the Mercs make a comeback? We discuss that too! And we also give credit to guys like Fernando Alonso coming from the back to 9th. Even if its concerning that they're taking engine penalties 6 rounds into a 22 race season. Zum ersten großen Wurf in Sachen Updates will Ferrari aber wohl an diesem Wochenende ansetzen. Es wird Zeit, denn Red Bull ist kurz davor wieder an die Spitze zu fahren. An welchen Stellschrauben man bei Ferrari dreht, um bspw. das Porpoising in den Griff zu kriegen wissen wir natürlich nicht. Trotzdem stellt sich auch die Frage nach dem Geld, denn alle Teams müssen sich als Budget Cap halten. Keine leichte Aufgabe, die man auch bei Red Bull lösen muss. Es wird spannend! Zeit für ein B-Auto in British Racing Green? Bei Sebastian Vettel ist die Hoffnung sicher groß, dass sein Aston Martin-Team beim Spanien GP ein rundum erneuertes Auto an den Start bringen kann. Das sogenannte B-Auto soll die Wende schaffen. Die Frage ist dann nur, ob lediglich Lance Stroll in den Genuss dieses neuen Autos kommt oder Vettel selber auch profitiert. Klar ist, es muss was passieren, sonst rennt Aston Martin die ganze Saison weg. Wird das Update in Barcelona für den Aufschwung sorgen können? Den wünscht man sich auch dringend bei Mercedes. Der Weltmeister ist zwar schnell, aber hüpft zu viel. Um das zu kontrollieren, könnte man zum konservativen Seitenkastenkonzept von den Testfahrten im März zurückkehren. Aber macht man das? Will man das? Updateschlacht im Mittelfeld oder Vertrauen in alte Versionen? Alfa Romeo bringt was mit, Alpine auch, aber was machen McLaren und AlphaTauri? Nicht jedes Team lässt sich vor dem Wochenende in der spanischen Hitze in die Karten schauen, ob sie Updates in den LKWs haben oder nicht. Bei Alpine kommt noch die Frage dazu, ob Fernando Alonso auch 2023 noch fährt oder von Oscar Piastri ersetzt wird? Im Juli soll es dazu eine Entscheidung geben, aber wir sprechen heute mal drüber. Für Haas und Williams gibts wohl keine Updates, beide Teams sind nicht gerade auf finanziellen Rosen gebettet. Wohin kann es aber trotzdem gehen beim Großen Preis von Spanien? Besonders auf Alexander Albon schauen wir in diesen Tagen mal, denn der will auch im Qualifying mal für eine gute Startposition sorgen um vielleicht noch mehr Punkte einzuheimsen. La temporada 1977 un monoplaza revolucionó el Mundial: El Lotus 78 con su efecto suelo. En solo dos años los F1 pasaron de girar con una aceleración lateral de 2,3 g a casi el doble, 4,4 g. Lo prohibieron en 1982 calificándolo de peligroso… Ahora, 45 años después vuelve el efecto suelo a la F1. Es hora que sepas, con detalle, cómo se inventó y cómo funciona. El primer fin de semana de marzo, el sábado 5 y el domingo 6, se celebra de nuevo, ¡por fin! El Racing Legends. Allí estaremos Rodrigo y yo. ¡La bomba atómica! La revolución de 1977 ya estaba lista en agosto de 1976 cuando ya rodaba el Lotus 78. Pero Chapman de tonto no tenía un pelo y hay dos cosas que no todo el mundo sabe. Una, Chapman tenía claro que habían descubierto un arma definitiva, una bomba atómica, un arma que podía valer dos Mundiales, uno de pilotos y otro de marcas. Y la segunda cosa, Chapman también tenía claro que el Lotus 78 iba a ser inmediatamente copiado y seguramente superado. La evolución de la revolución. Mientras sus competidores trataban de entender porque el Lotus 78 iba tan bien, Chapman hizo el Lotus 79, que no era más que la evolución del revolucionario 78 pero afinado en los detalles y fiabilizado. Con ese coche hicieron doblete ese año en el Mundial. Cómo esperaba Chapman. Chapman no era tonto. Pero Gerard Decourage de Ligier y Patrick Head de Williams tampoco lo eran. Y no solo copiaron el Lotus, sino que tanto el Ligier JS11 como el Williams FW07 lo superaban… y lo superaron. “Porpoising”. Porpoising quiere decir, literalmente, “marsopa”. Pero en la F1 del efecto suelo se refería a una actitud del coche, causada por la aerodinámica, que hacia que el morro del coche subiese y bajase, igual que hace una marsopa cuando nada. Vamos a 2014. Me he saltado un montón de años para llegar al reglamento de 2014, para mí probablemente el peor de la historia de la F1. Un reglamento que ha propiciado que una marca gane 8 mundiales seguidos y un piloto, Hamilton, 5 de sus 7 mundiales. Pero, aerodinámicamente hablando, como me dijo un ingeniero, este reglamento es un “truño”. ¿Por qué? Porque la aerodinámica generada por los complejos alerones genera tantos remolinos y tanto “aire sucio” que los rebufos son imposibles y complica o impide totalmente los adelantamientos. Y esto es lo que pretende arreglar el reglamento de 2022, donde el efecto suelo sustituye en gran medida a los alerones. F1 2022: Con efecto suelo. El efecto suelo es mucho más eficaz que los alerones. Tienes dos importantes ventajas: Frenan menos al coche y provocan menos aire sucio. Vamos a explicarlas. Ya hemos contado cómo es un alerón, algo que convierte la resistencia aerodinámica en empuja hacia abajo. Efecto suelo no efecto ala. He leído muchas veces que el efecto suelo lo que hace es que los laterales de los F1, lo que se suele llamar pontones, gracias a su forma de ala invertida, actúen como un alerón…. Pues no es una explicación sencilla, sino una explicación equivocada. No, el efecto suelo no es un ala invertida. Se basa en el principio de Bernoulli que os voy a explicar en nuestra ¡Pizarra hermética! ¿Veremos más adelantamientos? En el video de “Maldito DRS” explicamos como este “invento” era para compensar la imposibilidad de hacer adelantamientos donde se han hecho toda la vida: En las apuradas de prenda y en plena curva. La FIA no las tiene todas consigo, pues de hecho no ha eliminado el DRS, aunque contempla esta posibilidad en función de cómo vayan las cosas. Así, entre tú y yo, que lo eliminasen seria una buena señal. Conclusión. En todo caso no estamos en los F1 de finales de los 79 y de los 80, cuando había inventos que, en breve espacio, hacían a unos equipos mucho más competitivos. En la F1 actual el reglamento deja menos espacio a la imaginación de los ingenieros y los plazos, en favor de la estabilidad, se alargan. Así que esperemos que haya más igualdad pero no esperemos milagros. Y si se producen, y el status quo de la F1 cambia radicalmente no olvidemos que se lo debemos al genio de Colin Chapman. Coche del día. He escogido el Porsche Cayman GT4. Creo que elegí este coche en otra ocasión… ¡pero disfrute tanto con esa prueba que hice en 2015! No tenia efecto suelo, pero este coche era y es de una eficacia demoledora.
