Robin Davis and Carol Saltzman were the type of friends that did everything together. They went grocery shopping together, moved out of town and got new jobs together, and even lived together for a few years. But when Robin's husband turned up dead, on a rural road near his home, police believed they knew just how far Carol would go for her bestie. In December 2013, the untimely and mysterious death of Christy Appleby raised eyebrows and sparked speculation. Fast forward to January 2017, when Colin Arey vanished without a trace, leaving behind a cloud of uncertainty. The following year, in June 2017, Robin Davis also met a suspicious fate, further deepening the intrigue surrounding these events. Just six months later, in December 2017, Kirk Davis similarly succumbed to an enigmatic demise. All these incidents unfolded in the small town of Bucksport, Maine, and they share a chilling connection: each individual was last seen in the company of David Appleby, a figure now shrouded in suspicion. Tonight we are joined by Jacqui Fulton an investigative journalist who has worked to bring justice for the Bucksport four, and private investigator Jen Dorman who has took on the fight to help bring forth enough evidence to finally make David Appleby answer for his involvement in each case. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/locatingthelost/support

In the latest twist of an ongoing legal saga, Adam Montgomery's trial over the alleged 2019 murder of his 5-year-old daughter, Harmony, is set to be postponed. Montgomery, already in the legal limelight following convictions on unrelated felony weapons charges, now awaits a crucial decision on the rescheduling of his upcoming trial. Public defender Caroline Smith, representing Montgomery, filed a request on Wednesday seeking the trial's delay, citing the necessity for a new co-counsel. Scheduled originally to kick off with jury selection on November 20, Montgomery has chosen to waive his right to a speedy trial in light of these developments. "The circumstances leading up to this delay are intricate and essential for the court and public to understand," states the request. Robin Davis, formerly Merrimack County Attorney, had been listed as the co-counsel. However, in an unforeseen turn of events, Davis has accepted a non-lawyer position within the public defender's office. Clarifying the rationale behind the reshuffle, Smith mentioned, "The new position, and especially the reasons that have caused her to need to leave her attorney position and seek the non-attorney position, prevent her from continuing as co-counsel in this matter." Efforts to obtain comments from Sarah Rothman, the executive director of the New Hampshire Public Defender Office, proved futile on Wednesday, leaving many details surrounding this development obscured from public knowledge. With the introduction of a new co-counsel into the mix, the delay is seen as a pragmatic move to grant adequate preparation time. "A trial of this magnitude and sensitivity demands meticulous preparation, ensuring all involved parties are adequately equipped for the proceedings," a legal expert commented on the case's latest developments. To add further complexity to Montgomery's legal circumstances, back in June, a separate jury delivered a guilty verdict on six unrelated felony weapons charges leveled against him. He has since directed his legal efforts towards an appeal to the state Supreme Court. The core of this appeal hinges on the legitimacy of allowing testimony from Montgomery's estranged wife, Kayla, during the four-day jury trial which culminated in his conviction. Judge Amy Messer's decision to sentence Montgomery to a minimum of 32 years in state prison on those charges stands as a testament to the gravity of the crimes. Nonetheless, during the pronouncement of the sentence, Montgomery took the opportunity to assert his innocence regarding his daughter's death. "I love my daughter unconditionally and I didn't kill her,” adamantly proclaimed Montgomery, urging the jury to separate his prior convictions from the murder allegations. The state's pursuit of justice for Harmony Montgomery has garnered national attention, sparking debates on the efficiency and challenges within the legal system. With the trial's impending delay, one thing remains clear: the pursuit of truth and justice for Harmony is a path laden with unexpected twists and legal intricacies. As the legal proceedings unfold, the public watches with bated breath, hoping for a conclusion that serves justice. For now, all eyes are set on September 28th, the scheduled date for the hearing to decide on the trial's delay. It serves as yet another crucial juncture in this convoluted journey to justice for Harmony Montgomery. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Here at the RFP Success Company, we get some of the same questions over and over. And in episode 129, we covered eight of the most common questions we get from our clients and community. On this episode of The RFP Success Show, I'm answering seven more FAQs, explaining why you can't wait until orals to go into detail on your requirements and what to do if you don't think the procuring agency is asking the right questions. I discuss why you shouldn't assume the evaluators aren't going to read your entire response (even though they may not) and challenge you not to use the answer, ‘Yes, we will meet the requirement.' Listen in for insight on the benefit of including graphics and tables in your proposal response and learn how to use the client's language in an RFP—without repeating the question word for word. Key Takeaways Why you can't wait until orals to go into detail on your requirements for an RFP How to provide enough information about your qualifications without overwhelming the evaluators How to guide the agency in your response if you think they're not asking the right questions What to do if you're uncertain about the client's objective in an RFP Why ‘yes, we will meet the requirement' usually isn't a good enough answer Why you shouldn't assume the evaluators aren't going to read your entire response (even though they may not) The benefit of using graphics and tables vs. answering with a wall of text What to consider before you add an ‘additional notes' column to the RFP Excel doc The problem with copy-pasting the exact wording of the question in your response How to use the client's language without repeating the question word for word Connect with Lisa Lisa's Website Lisa on Twitter Lisa on Facebook Lisa on LinkedIn The RFP Success Company on YouTube The RFP Success Company on LinkedIn Subscribe on iTunes Email podcast@rfpsuccess.com Resources Robin Davis on RFP Success EP067 Book a Call with the RFP Success Company Dare to Be Influential: Maximizing Your Positive Influence While Still Being True to You by Lisa Rehurek The RFP Success Book by Lisa Rehurek The RFP Success Institute

Litigation is not cost-free, particularly when we talk about intellectual property cases that can be driven by myriad factual inquiries. Those inquiries can result in significant discovery. Multiple expert witnesses may need to be retained. E-discovery costs are not insignificant. And the list goes on. Not everyone can afford the costs that must be incurred to see their rights protected. Not everyone wants to face the inherent risks of litigation. That leads to a sense of injustice. Are there alternatives? We're going to talk about one option. In this episode, Jeff Harty, Robin Davis, and Bob Koneck discuss: The complexity of IP litigation and how that affects the costs of litigation. Why IP disputes tend to lend themselves to litigation funding. What types of cases are suited to litigation financing. Different approaches to funding IP cases. Key Takeaways: The perception may be that only boutique firms use litigation funding, but big firms also use litigation funding; it is becoming more common throughout firms of all sizes. Litigation funders are passive investors. While they don't get a say in the case, they are aligned with the funded parties and their case. Trends and studies show that litigation financing is going to become more common. LItigation financing is not just for small and medium-sized entities. “One of the trends that we're seeing now is that more larger, sophisticated companies that do have their own significant in-house legal budgets are utilizing funding to take the risk and the pressure of the cost of litigation off their balance sheet.” —Robin Davis About Robin Davis: Robin Davis is Woodsford's chief investment officer for the United States. She oversees all of Woodsford's investments in American civil litigation and intellectual property. Under Robin's direction, Woodsford has become a preeminent investor in IP litigation and works with top-tier law firms, public and private companies, universities, and independent inventors. Before joining Woodsford, Robin spent a decade as a litigator in private practice, with a specialty in patent litigation, at firms including Quinn Emanuel and Radulescu LLP. She has a J.D. from Cornell Law School and a B.S. in materials science and engineering from MIT. About Bob Koneck: Bob Koneck is a lawyer and former litigator. As director of litigation finance and legal counsel for Woodsford, Bob now focuses on working with plaintiffs and their counsel to explore whether litigation financing can facilitate a successful litigation. Prior to joining Woodsford, Bob worked as a commercial litigator and completed federal clerkships at the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the U.S. Court of International Trade. Bob received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and his B.A. from St. Olaf College. A distinguished panel of industry veterans shared their perceptions and personal stories, including Jean Trewhella, GlobalFoundries; Susan Trulli, Raytheon; Shelby Nelson, Mosaic Microsystems; Urmi Ray, Saras Micro Devices, and KT Moore, Cadence. Davis provided a framework for the conversation, explaining the difference between Equal and Equity: Equality means each employee gets the same bicycle to ride, and equity means that everyone gets the bicycle that suits their needs. The panelists then also offered tips for how to overcome our own unconscious bias to create a culture of DEI at our own workplaces.Contact the Panelists on LinkedInRobin Davis, Deca Jean Trewhella, GlobalFoundriesSusan Trulli, RatheonShelby Nelson, Mosaic Microsystems Urmi Ray, Saras MicrodevicesKT Moore, Cadence Deca Deca's technology empowers the transformation of electronic interconnects for the chiplet era. Chiplets are the new “It” heterogeneous integration technology. Many believe they provide the solution to power, performance, area and cost (PPAC) for everything from mobile computing and automotive applications, to 5G, high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence. In this podcast episode, Françoise speaks with 3D InCites' Community Members, Kevin Rinebold of Siemens EDA, and Robin Davis of Deca to explore how successful chiplet integration begins with a collaborative design flow. To get started, we'll get some of the chiplet back-stories, beginning with the advantages of disaggregating SoC into hardened IP blocks of different nodes, and reintegrating them on an “interconnect fabric.” From there, we define what we mean by chiplets, what differentiates them from system-in-package, and how different advanced packaging architectures can be implemented to create chiplet packaging. We also discuss the main challenges of designing chiplet packages; such as who owns the design? Is it the IC designer or package designer? How do we manage the die shift? How do we manage multiple designs?Additionally, Kevin and Robin talk about their companies' respective design kits, and how they are working together to enable a chiplet ecosystem.Papers/presentations referenced by Kevin and Robin include: Using a System Technology Co-Optimization Approach for 2.5/3D Heterogeneous Semiconductor Integration – Siemens EDA Adaptive Patterning Techniques for the Chiplet Era – Deca Contact the Speakers on LinkedIn: Kevin Rinebold Robin (Gabriel) DavisKiterocket A global strategic marketing agency serving the semiconductor and sustainability industries.
I first met Jon Stickley in 2004 in North Carolina, two days before we were set to record with Andy Thorn (Leftover Salmon), Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass), and Robin Davis. The band was Broke Mountain and the rest is still unfolding, but needless to say that was a seminal point in all of our lives and careers. Jon is one of my best friends and favorite musicians and one of the reasons I moved to Western North Carolina. The COVID-19 pandemic has not affected everyone equally, and people of colour have paid a particularly high price, whether in terms of lives lost among vulnerable frontline workers or higher unemployment and economic hardship, or even by being left out of vaccine rollouts. The coronavirus crisis has exposed the need to step up the fight against racism and discrimination, spurred on by global protests and campaigns such as Black Lives Matter, and the OECD is urging policymakers to make sure everyone gets their fair share in the economic recovery phase. Valerie Wilson, Director of the Economic Policy Institute’s Program on Race, Ethnicity and the Economy in the United States, spoke with Robin Davis about what must be done to put an end to these racial injustices once and for all. The major league baseball season that’s been greatly affected by COVID-19 continues for the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers lost their final game of the shortened regular season Sunday. But when two teams next to them in the standings also lost, the Brewers won the final seed in the expanded eight-team National League playoffs. At Miller Park, the Brewers kept their team apparel store open late, and a small but consistent stream of shoppers celebrated by buying gear. Robin Davis left with a bagful of items. "I got some shoes. I got a shirt. I got something for my dog,” she said, laughing. The Brewers had a losing record in the 60-game season, and fans weren't allowed into Miller Park or any of the other baseball stadiums to see the games due to the coronavirus. But Davis says it's still exciting to know her team is in the playoffs. "I love being here, and we haven't. It's been over a year since we've been to the ballpark and I miss it. But we support baseball in any way we possibly can

It is a very informative interview as they discuss their journey to getting their product in over 2500 stores across the country. They also share the three P's to their success. Their food is amazing! Click here for more information about CBS Foods and how you can locate their food in your area. Click here to find us on iTunes. Also, CLICK HERE to Like Us on Facebook.
