But now Leanne has a new title to add to her name: print magazine creator.Leanne recently launched a quarterly print magazine on art and home design called Feel Free. If you follow Leanne, you'll agree that this name is just so fitting for who she is and what she represents. In This Episode We Talk About: The FEEL FREE magazine — what Leanne also calls a workbook — with the hope that people write on it, rip on it, put it on their wall, and get it messy!Creating the magazine to expose people to artists, art, and to inspire people to live freely. (Because being perfect just isn't a thing.)The generosity of the artists who shared their artwork with Leanne to feature in the magazine (and for all of us to rip out!) – along with their tips on how to create art. This magazine is for everyone, no matter what you want to create, whether it's curating an online shop or writing that book you've been dreaming of.Where Leanne gets her biggest inspiration (hint: it's not design). How the freedom to create is contagious. How her 3 ½ year old daughter is in her prime creative time — and how inspiring it is to Leanne. Steve Cordony is a master of interior style and life styling. What a treat to have him for my latest episode of Tea with Jules. I first met Steve when he waved his magic style wand over our house for a shoot we did with Belle Magazine Australia where he sits as Style Director at Large. He struck me as kind, generous with information and meticulous with his impeccable taste, and he has absolutely lived up to that first impression. With so many of us spending so much time at home right now, it is lovely to hear Steve talk about how he gives his home a soul. Steve shares with me how growing up he always felt that coming out, might be a risk or an unachievable dream to have his own perfect image of home life. Remaining neutral, was safer. He believes that everything happens for a reason at the right time, and with a moment of complete honesty with himself and those around him, he was released into his truest identity. Once he stepped into that, the sky has been the limit. We talk about the secret sauce of a successful relationship, what is the soul, finding purpose and of COURSE I wouldn't let him get away without asking him some very important home styling questions!I loved this chat and Steve's wonderful insight into life, love and career. He is a true gem-I hope you enjoy too. Oh, and please check out his and Michael's current dream home renovation Rosedale Farm. It is serious #housegoals

So, Robert started doing thirty-minute portfolio sessions; he gives designers the gift of time. Then, Robert speaks about why professional photography is so important. After shooting, the film needs to have a certain mystique. Plus, Robert explains why hiring a stylist is absolutely necessary and the importance of collaboration on any shoot. In This Episode: [00:40] About Robert Rufino and his thirty-minute portfolio sessions.  [09:00] When Robert is looking at a project, he is looking for a message.  [15:50] Professional photography is so important; the film has to have mystery, surprise, and it needs to look unique.  [25:00] Robert reveals one of the most unique and memorable shoots that he did. [28:20] What Robert wanted to be when he grew up.   [36:40] Collaboration is critical on a shoot; Robert tells a story of collaboration when shooting Tiffany's in 1996.  [38:50] What Robert has up his sleeve as we enter this new age of 2021. Key Takeaways: Portfolios should have a surprise element that the reader is going to learn something from -  the reader should want to be in that room. A portfolio should inspire you to rip out a page, put it in your folder, or pin it up on your bulletin board. Hire a stylist; your photos will be 100 times better if you match a good photographer with a stylist.  You never know where a good idea is going to come from when you’re on a shoot; collaboration is critical. Bio:  Robert is a native New Yorker. His career began at Henri Bendel where he was in charge of window presentation and store design. From there, he ventured into the world of magazines. Today I sit down with Style Director and Educator Jess Sutherland. Jess is an extremely experienced stylist, and she is no stranger to a photoshoot or competition. We talk about the hard reality and stigma around hairdressing and becoming a hairstylist and how this initially deterred us both from following our dreams.I love how similar our storys are. We both did a lot of extra curricular activities and were a bit "average" at almost everything until we found hairdressing.‘Hi Mum, I've decided I'm going to be a hairdresser. I've quit my job and I start tomorrow' was the beginning of Jessica Sutherland's career as a hairdresser. Jess had previously studied graphic design and had multiple retail jobs but could never quite find what she was looking for. Hopefully this was is it… Jess started her apprenticeship 2010, after 6 months she moved to another salon, where she was thrown straight into a fully booked clientele of cutting, colouring, blow drying and styling. This was the start of big things to come….. She studied at the Aveda Institute at Box Hill TAFE. Jess loved every minute of trade school and flew through her studies, finishing up in 2012- she completed the rest of her apprenticeship working and building a clientele in the salon. She had a lot of success in her time at the Aveda Institute, and took every opportunity that was given to her, some of them include.•   Entrant in World skills competition 2011•   Finalist for Apprentice of the year two years running•   Winner Apprentice of the Year 2012 (Aveda Institute)•   Finalist for the Alan Broadhead Student of The year (Box Hill Institute)•   Winner of Alan Broadhead Student of the Year•   Scholarship sponsored by Toni Hair Gem•   1st place Ladies cutting (open day competition)•   1st place female photographic competition She realised she had found what she had been looking for, a career that fulfilled her. Once qualified Jessica took her career to the next level – being offered a position with Rokk Ebony Salon in Toorak. Jessica's dreams were about to come to life! For episode 66 of Offline, host Alison Rice sits down with New York City style director, Danielle Prescod. Danielle is currently the Style Director at Black Entertainment Television, and before that, she held fashion roles at Marie Claire, Elle, Teen Vogue and Interview. The New Yorker is as authentic as it gets on Instagram. One of the things Alison loves most about her presence on the platform, is it has nothing to do with her job. She’s never pushing her followers to buy things. Instead, she chooses to use her platform to educate. If you follow Danielle, you’ll know that she leads social conversations centered on calling out systemic racism daily, and she’s a guiding light when it comes to holding the fashion industry, influencers and media accountable, for our ongoing failure to acknowledge, support and elevate Black people, their voices and their work.Alison and Danielle recorded this episode in March 2020. Australia was about to go into lockdown and being in the States, Danielle had already been in isolation for some time. Since then, to say a lot has happened is an understatement. Danielle has been a key voice within New York City’s fashion community during the Black Lives Matter movement — directing Alison and other white people to the resources she was sharing years before we finally started to listen with the intent to learn. And she’s also developing new resources. For free. For our benefit. In this episode’s introduction, Alison calls out her failure to ask Danielle any direct questions about racism and allyship. This is an example of her privilege and her ignorance. She shares that her failure to give airtime to an experience that doesn’t impact her or her world as a white woman makes her complicit in the silencing of Black voices and experiences. Despite Alison’s failure, their pair cover an interesting set of topics in this honest conversation. Danielle shares how she’s producing content for women during an international pandemic, how she thinks about telling stories, giving up Instagram twice, the benefits of therapy, her decision to freeze her eggs at age 30 and her advice to brands and businesses on getting representation and inclusion right.Follow Danielle on InstagramRead Danielle’s work MORE FROM OFFLINE AND ALISON RICE Become a student of Self StudyIf you’re interested in learning about True Self, conscious success and more, become a student of Self Study — a series of considered online courses. Today Max Wilker from Better Homes & Gardens is here to talk about the trends and decorating motifs that are sweeping the housing industry. Today’s guest Max Wilker is the Style Director at Better Homes & Gardens, so he definitely has his finger on the pulse of the hottest trends in home decorating. He’s here today to share some insight about what’s in and what’s out in terms of home decor. Max informs me that butterflies, bugs, and insects are increasingly popular decorating motifs. This includes things like stylized dragonflies on dinnerware and/or butterflies on pillows. Additionally, textures are a huge trend right now, and manufacturers are coming up with unique ways to tap into it. For example, Max showed me a butterfly pillow where the butterfly itself was printed onto the fabric, but then an embroidery overlay was added to give the image some texture and depth. “A decorative motif that brings the outdoors inward can definitely give your home a warm, inviting, and comfortable feel.” Next, realistic bird motifs are gaining popularity. In the past, more whimsical bird motifs were popular, but the market has circled back around to realism, including things such as lifelike illustrations of native birds on dinnerware, fabric patterns, clocks, and more. Continuing in the vein of bringing the outdoors into the home, botanical prints are also coming back to the market. Whether they’re stylized and monochrome or they’re detailed and lifelike, these motifs are a classic, beautiful addition to a home that can give it an upscale feel. They would look great in a modern loft or an industrial farmhouse. Finally, given how bold, natural motifs are surging forward in the market, it follows that furniture, light fixtures, accessories, and decorative pieces made from rattan, bamboo, and reeds are becoming popular, too. Especially here in Iowa, where the winter gets bitter and everything outside is buried in snow, having a decorative motif that brings the outdoors inward can definitely give your home a warm, inviting, and comfortable feel. If you have any questions about this or other real estate topics, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’d love to help you.

And, of course, one of fashion + design’s most recognizable faces’ had cameo roles in The Devil Wears Prada and The September Issue. These days, when it comes to awards show red carpets, Robert’s been cranking out his one of a kind “Meme-Girls”: his red carpet comparisons that have Instagram and social media abuzz. One of the fashion industry’s top editors of all time, Sasha has over thirty years of magazine experience. She’s worked for Allure, Harper’s Bazaar, Mirabella, Seventeen, Elle, Vanity Fair, The Village Voice and more. She was the fashion director at US Weekly for 10 years, and is author of the book, Secrets Of Stylists. She’s appeared as an expert on Fox News, E! CNN, VH1, MTV and so much more, and she’s currently Style Director at CBS Watch. Aliza, also with a background in fashion editorial, is a Creative Brand Marketing and Digital Consultant. She was long time Donna Karan + DKNY Senior VP of Global Communications, where she was also award-winning social media personality, @dknyprgirl, organically buildinga multi-platform community of over 1.5 million followers. She was EVP of Brand Marketing and Communications at Alice + Olivia, and is the creator and host of the Leave Your Mark podcast, an offshoot of her book, the career bible of the same name. Aliza is also a Forbes contributor. Each of the experts discuss their individual, personal connections to the red carpet, what they’d like to see change in terms of today’s on-camera experts, and what they want to see change regarding the stars walking the carpet and the stylists who dress them. We get into the making of Robert’s witty memes, how Sasha assesses her favorite red carpet looks having had to look at literally all of Hollywood’s fashion for so many years, and Aliza’s giving us the brand perspective and insider stories on how a look actually makes it to the red carpet. We get into all the specifics of who wore what at the 2020 Globes, and we also talk about our thoughts on labelling things “best” and “worst”. Very important: if you love this podcast, be sure to rate and review and let us know because we’re hoping to bring you our red carpet round ups, on the regular.

RÉFÉRENCES DANS L’ÉPISODE ICARTTAJAN https://www.tajan.com/ Ralph Lauren https://www.ralphlauren.fr/ Double RL https://www.ralphlauren.fr/fr/marques/double-rl/hommes/70201 VINTED https://www.vinted.fr/ Doug Bilheimer Acheteur Vintage de Ralph Lauren Vintage Showroom http://www.thevintageshowroom.com/ Cassie Mercantile http://www.cassiemercantile.com/ Ramdane Touhami  https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramdane_Touhami Franck Durand www.franckdurand.com/ Holiday Café https://www.holiday-paris.fr/cafe.php Beige habilleur https://www.beige-habilleur.com/en/ Super Stitch https://www.instagram.com/superstitchparis/?hl=fr Kdpresse https://www.instagram.com/kdpresse/?hl=fr Camber https://www.camberusa.com/ Hense https://www.hanes.com/shop/hanes/hanes-beefy-t-short-sleeve-t-shirt-6307?redirectLoop=true&originalReferrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.fr%2F Cash Investigation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IRtRnV92AM Julien Hamon http://jthamon.tumblr.com/ Nicolas Gabar de Husband http://www.husbands-paris.com/ Feedly https://feedly.com/ Photographe http://www.henryleutwyler.com/Pierre Maheo Officine Générale Les tumblrs : http://melancholiceuphoria.tumblr.com / http://kitty-n-classe.tumblr.com / http://gersaintbeaupre.tumblr.com / http://joeinct.tumblr.com

It takes into consideration how you approach things--how you tend to make decisions, how you take in and process information, where your comfort zone is--things like that.  After she takes you through the different design dispositions and outlines the 5 things you'll need to consider for every style decision you make, there are all of  these little "ah ha" moments sprinkled throughout the book. It's so helpful!   Ok, let's get started.
