Und dennoch sind sich Patrik Kühnen, Turnierdirektor in München, Kitzbühel-Chef Alex Antonitsch und der deutsche Davis-Cup-Kapitän Michael Kohlmann darin einig, dass es Veränderungen braucht. Im südlich von Hamburg gelegenen Konzentrationslager Neuengamme waren insgesamt 100000 Menschen inhaftiert, von denen mindestens 50000 durch die schlechten Arbeits- und Lebensbedingungen, im Zuge der späteren Lagerräumung oder durch die Ermordung durch das Lagerpersonal ums Leben kamen. Anneliese Kohlmann war Aufseherin in zweien der Zahlreichen Unterlager des KZs und war hier für zahlreiche Misshandlungen an den Häftlingen beteiligt. Kohlmann schlug unzählige Frauen mit den Fäusten oder mittels einer Peitsche, dabei machte sie auch vor schwangeren nicht halt, trat auf diverse Opfer bis zur Bewusstlosigkeit ein und war dafür bekannt Häftlinge bei geringsten Vergehen zu bestrafen. Die aufgrund ihrer kurzen Haare von den Insassen als Bubi bezeichnete Kohlmann war homosexuell und nutze ihre Stellung als Aufseherin aus, um mit jungen weiblichen Häftlingen sexuelle Handlungen durchzuführen, teilweise auch ohne deren Zustimmung. Gegen Kriegsende verliebte sich Kohlmann in eine tschechische Jüdin, welche sie auf einem Todesmarsch nach Bergen-Belsen begleitete, und mischte sich später freiwillig als Häftling getarnt in das von Tod und Verderben gezeichnete Lager, nur um bei dieser bleiben zu können. Kohlmanns Geschichte als Aufseherin und ihr Schicksal nach dem Krieg sind absolut bizarr, insgesamt kaum zu fassen und erregten große mediale Aufmerksamkeit.

Kohlmann spricht über die Forschungsaktivitäten ihres Unternehmens, ihre Kindheit im Renn-Kart und die Frage, wozu sie Acrylfarben braucht.

Gleichzeitig wird in Saudi-Arabien schon von einigen Top-Profis wieder die Saison 2023 eingeläutet. Tennis ist ein Sport, der über 12 Monate gespielt wird. Die Diskussionen, dass die Saison zu lang ist, sind schon längere Zeit verstummt. In dieser Woche findet in Biberach auch die Deutsche Meisterschaft statt. Dort trafen wir Michael Kohlmann zum Gespräch. Das DTB-Spitzen-Herrentennis glich zwischendurch einem Lazarett. She then worked very PT as shampoo assistant for 6mo in eve a couple hours ''when you're a mom of 4 you have goals/plans'' so she wondered if chair rental would be the way to go even though she didn't have 1 client and no knowledge of color line other than Aveda. Luckily the busy stylists gave her their overflow! Post-pandemic, with one goal in mind: ''how do I service my clients!?'' A divine connection led to her finding her dream space + landlord and was up and running in 2 weeks where she has been for 2 years now! We all know the name Kohlmann. Kohlmann Hall, the Kohlmann Address at graduation, but who was Fr. Anthony Kohlmann, S.J., the man? Tim Nau'61 briefly wondered that question in 1957 on his way to JUG. But the thought passed. After attending his 50th reunion in 2011, Tim remembered the name Kohlmann, and again wondered who was Anthony Kohlmann? Soon Tim's personal search for answers was on. Nau ordered books, researched online, and even planned travel to Europe to meet with historians in the town where Kohlmann grew up. What did answers did Tim find about Gonzaga's Founder? Kohlmann was a much more fascinating and prominent figure in American Catholicism than he thought. In S1E14, Tim unpacks piece by piece Kohlmann, the man. From his formative days in Europe, and how the horror of the French Revolution impacted his worldview. What events led brought Kohlmann to America? And what massive American legal precedent belongs to Gonzaga’s Founder? Gonzaga doesn't make it 20 years, let alone 200 years, without a second, lesser-celebrated, but just as important founding father: Fr. William Matthews. Matthews was pivotal shortly before, and after Kohlmann, but doesn't really get the credit in Gonzaga lore. Matthews’ personality was a big part of why The Washington Catholic Seminary survived to become Gonzaga, as Tim explains in spellbinding detail. In 1821, two centuries ago, two very different men of God, in birthplace, motives, temperament, and vision, combined to lay the foundation that lives on in Gonzaga.
