Connie's motivational quote for today is by – Nelson Mandella, “Do not judge me by my success; judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.” I love this quote. For a moment, think about how many times you've hit hard times or fallen. I'll bet it's a ton! We have all had hard times, uncertainty about the next best step to take, and most importantly, when things go poorly, we stand back up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again. I don't believe there is such a thing as an overnight success. It may appear that way looking from the outside, I bet most overnight successes took years to get there! Today I interview Dr. Peter Hammond, the president of Frontline Fellowship. Frontline is a mission organization taking the gospel throughout Africa and Europe. Peter was born and raised in Rhodesia and later moved to South Africa where he has worked for the last forty years. He has amazing stories to tell, including his first mission trip when he traveled into Communist territory, how God orchestrated a secret church service that lasted thirteen hours, and what happened when he led a march in South Africa against abortion and was called in to meet Nelson Mandella. This time we go Behind the Scenes with one of the great voices of BBC radio - an award-winning sports journalist, who The Spectator magazine described as ‘one of the best broadcasters in the country - The Poet Laurate of Sport'. Garry's remarkable career has spanned half a century, making him the longest serving member on Radio 4's flagship “Today Programme”. In that time he's reported on 5 Olympics, interviewed all the famous of international sport, including George Best, Denis Law, Tommy Docherty and Muhammed Ali. A great aficionado of comedy, Garry never misses the chance to slip in a quick quip or pass a welcome witty comment – little wonder he's also a much in demand after dinner speaker who also produced and presented an acclaimed documentary celebrating Sir Ken Dodd. In this episode of the Fed Watch podcast, we get interactive with the livestream team, talking about the history of Davos and the World Economic Forum, as well as getting into some Q&A about my Federal Reserve predictions. This week was a slightly slower news cycle in macro and bitcoin, so I took the opportunity to begin a new series of discussing the history of important international institutions, like central banks, the IMF, and this week the World Economic Forum. The history portion take up about 50% of the show this week, and the rest is the probing Q&A mentioned above. Fed Watch is the macro podcast for bitcoiners. Each episode we discuss current events in macro from across the globe, with an emphasis on central banks and currency matters. Beginnings of Davos and the World Economic Forum Davos is the name and place for the yearly meeting of the World Economic Forum. Originally called the European Management Forum, it was founded in 1971 by a business professor in Geneva, the infamous Klaus Schwab. That should be a familiar year to bitcoiners, because it is the same year President Nixon took the US off the remnant of the gold standard. At first, Davos was a small conference of European businessmen discussing Klaus Schwab's ideas of “stakeholder capitalism''. Compared to unbridled capitalism, this new stakeholder idea expanded the ethical duty of the corporation from serving customers and shareholders to also serving employees and suppliers in a socially responsible way. Schwab took this idea further down the slippery slope outlining an ethical duty to the community and “society”, as well. Shareholder capitalism is simply a subtle way to make capitalism more socialist. In 1987, the European Management Forum changed its name to the World Economic Forum and its yearly meeting to Davos. Achievements of Davos One would expect an institution as famous and well-regarded as the World Economic Forum would have many achievements to its name. However, it is a very short list, even after 50 years! It claims a hand in stopping a Turkish/Greek war in 1987, a role in German reunification, and helping to end apartied in South Africa by hosting a handshake between Nelson Mandella and Frederik de Klerk in 1992. And that's about it. Recently, they have claimed some victories on the environmentalism front, too. Then what has the WEF been up to all these years? This is where it gets interesting. In 2004, Klaus Schwab created the Forum of Young Global Leaders. It is a program that graduates roughly 100 rising young leaders from around the world who are destined to high offices, either in government, business or culture. The program boasts 1400 alumni that include Presidents and Prime Ministers, along with some of the wealthiest, most influential people in the world, like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. These young leaders are indoctrinated into the WEF's brand of Marxism, which you will commonly hear called “globalism”, the modern incarnation of stakeholder capitalism. You know something is pushing a global Marxist agenda when you hear terms like, “socially responsible”, “global governance”, “climate action”, and “management” of all sorts. Covid and The Great Reset Covid-19 gave the World Economic Forum and Klaus Schwab the break they were waiting for. He rapidly released his new book called the Great Reset, making headlines around the world. If you didn't know about the WEF prior to Covid, you do now. The Great Reset is a call for a complete remaking of our world along the lines of stakeholder capitalism and the WEF's brand of Marxism. Its famous marketing tagline is, “You will own nothing and be happy.” Yet again, a conspiracy theory becomes a conspiracy fact. “As we enter a unique window of opportunity to shape the recovery, this initiative will offer insights to help inform all those determining the future state of global relations, the direction of national economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons. Drawing from the vision and vast expertise of the leaders engaged across the Forum's communities, the Great Reset initiative has a set of dimensions to build a new social contract that honours the dignity of every human being.” - WEF Ideological Connections Klaus Schwab has a deep Marxist past that starts with Father Câmara from South America. He was invited to speak at the 1974 meeting of the then European Management Forum, and in that speech, Father Câmara called for wealth distribution in very clear language. He also became the first in a string of ‘Liberation Theology' priests to speak at the meeting over the years. Câmara was a well-known revolutionary Marxist and persona non grata to many governments, but also the person whom Schwab called his ‘spiritual father'. His influence was much more broad than just the WEF. Câmara also mentor to Paulo Freire, author of Pedagogy of the Oppressed, the third most cited book in the social sciences and underpins modern ‘Identity Marxism' that has infiltrated Western schools. A third disciple of Câmara is Pope Francis, known in some circles as the Marxist Pope. “If one person lacks what is necessary to live with dignity, it is because another person is detaining it. [...] the right to private property can only be considered a secondary natural right, derived from the principle of the universal destination of created goods.” - Pope Francis, emphasis added What we have here is the World Economic Forum playing a role in a large scale Marxist attack on our society. The three disciples of Câmara, one being Klaus Schwab, play major roles in education, religion and business. World Economic Forum on Stablecoins Before we move on to the Q&A segment of the show, I outline a few times the WEF has spoken about bitcoin. They are very much against bitcoin mining and often have levied attacks against it. In November of last year, they produced a series of white papers about stablecoins and CBDCs. These halfway steps are of course the WEF's preferred way to appear to embrace bitcoin's revolution, while not really embracing anything new. CBDC's in particular are a wonderful way for the WEF and likeminded globalists to co opt the bitcoin revolution and use it to increase their own power and influence. Q&A To wrap up the show, the guys from the livestream team, Chris and Q, ask several questions about the Federal Reserve and the US economic outlook for the next few months. It's a great segment and allows me to flesh out my macro predictions. You'll have to listen to find out! That does it for this week. Thanks to the watchers and listeners. Meirav is the CEO & alongside 3 others, she is a co-founder of Versatile, a leading ConstructionTech company. She just shared with me the amazing news of closing their B round of $80M within 2 weeks and no deck, led by Insight Partners and Tiger Global. Meirav shares how she grew up with a General Contractor father, who made her love construction, and a mother that didn't support her leaving the comfort zone at Intel. She talks a lot about being unemployed, and her brother, a real estate developer who lost a worker on his site. She remembers that evening clearly, including thinking to herself that there's a gap in data within construction sites - it has to be closed and allow managers to make better decisions. That's when Versatile was born. Meirav shares a lot of gratitude to those who accompanied her in the beginning - Tidhar group, Autodesk etc. Embracing a Growth Mindset Meirav sees Versatile's job in changing the sequence of events, and controlling the processes within the construction site. When I asked her about being a woman entrepreneur - she said that if you know what you're doing- gender is not an issue. From her point of view, you have to focus on your track, set goals, exceed them, and hit your targets. Meirav shares that when COVID hit, they had no idea what would happen. She believes in complete transparency with the team, sticking to the facts and doing everything she could within her power. That way, she kept her internal focus while showing her vulnerability, which helped her team feel more secure and committed. Failure is Only When we Fail to Learn A superpower in days of uncertainty and always is to be aware of how you respond, communicate, and respond to failures. She believes in Nelson Mandella's saying that “you either learn or win.” Meirav likes to see failures, as well-paid tuition. Her 1st ever project in Versatile was a complete failure - but it brought her the next investor. This failure made them understand exactly what they needed to improve - and the investor loved it. A Table of 4 Legs Meirav describes herself and her 3 co-founders like a 4 legged table - they too have a stable, synergistic, and harmonic relationship. Each co-founder has a strict domain which he leads and manages, and the CEO makes the final decision. Meirav describes her transition from being a Founder to acting as a CEO -as the company grows, you have to bring really good people, and that means - you also need to listen to them. She believes in growing your staff - hear all the voices around the table, but eventually - as CEO, DECIDE. Then, the others can ‘disagree & commit'. Meirav loves to checkmark ‘V' - changing ‘impossible' to ‘done'. That's how she raised a series A of $28.5M within 8 weeks, and 6 months after - a Series B of $80M within 3 week, which all happened during COVID-19. A strong proof of her attitude & spirit is that her investors have already invested in Versatile for the 4th time, which conveys trust and confidence in the vision and team. Meirav conveyed a strong message that “there is no better place to invest now than in a company in this area, aiming to disrupt the construction industry.”
Hi my name is Ryan and welcome to the show! This Amazing Life encourages and inspires YOU, the listener, to take action so that you can live your own AMAZING LIFE! Every week, I offer a new “Intention of the Week!” A tool, a mantra, or a guideline for you to use throughout your week on your own path to success. This week's Intention of the Week is "It Always Seems Impossible Until It's Done!" I recently came across this quote by Nelson Mandella and I'm excited to explore it with you during our workouts this week. "It always seems impossible until it's done!" How would you interpret this quote? How can we break this down into parts and make it relevant, realistic, or applicable for ourselves? Let's start off with some examples. What if I said to you any of the following: "In six months, you're going to run a marathon!" "Starting next week you're going to learn a new language!" "Before the end of the year, you're going to write a best selling novel!" "You're now going to have an amazing relationship with everyone in your extended family!" (hopefully I got a few chuckles out of that one) "You're going to have a positive impact on hundreds of people in your hometown!" "I'm going to completely eliminate deserts!" (I can hear the gasps already) While some of these examples may be realistic and others laughably overwhelming, it leads me to my first question for us to consider: how do we typically respond to adversity? When our backs are up against the wall and we are well beyond our comfort zones, how do we feel? Are we excited at the prospect of growth and accomplishment or do we start to feel a large knot forming in the pit of our stomachs? Both responses are perfectly normal but why do we feel one way over another? Is it our prevailing self-confidence or self-doubt? Is it an abundance or a lack of knowledge and experience? Are we surrounded by people who encourage us or unfortunately belittle us? Let's consider a different perspective for a moment. What if we're solving a problem or creating something that's never been done before? How are we going to keep ourselves encouraged and motivated until we make it to our destination? Can we look back on our own experiences, successes, and failures, to help guide us in the best direction possible? Or does the fear of the unknown overwhelm us into inaction? Regardless of how big or scary our goals or challenges may seem, this week let's try to recognize how far we've actually come, use all of our knowledge, skills, experience, and surround ourselves with people that will help ensure our best chances for success : ) Thank you so much for choosing to listen to the show. Toxic Environments Can Lead To Healthy Outcomes Jennifer K. Hill and Brandon Maslan discuss what makes a toxic environment and offer tips for coping with them. They discuss various types of toxic personalities and how shifting one's stance or perspective can shift the perceived toxicity. Hill emphasizes that creating healthy boundaries is the key to enduring a toxic environment or individual. Maslan explains that the more you build yourself up the less likely you are to be broken down by those who might seek to cause harm. Ultimately, it is important to know that even environments that may feel detrimental to our egos can still serve a purpose of confidence building, the key is to leave before they can do any permanent damage. To quote Nelson Mandella, “You are the captain of your fate."

Self-Soothing is your solution to reducing and releasing overwhelm. That anxiety, stress and pressure you feel each day. What is self-soothing? We learn how to self-soothe from the moment we enter this world. Some of our first acknowledgments of our mental feelings and our physical bodies occur as young as a newborn. Infants learn how to self-soothe through means of thumb-sucking. It is from this early age, that we begin to learn and understand that we are capable of healing ourselves, something that we should acknowledge and remember as we move through life. When we get hurt, physically or mentally, feel anxious, or depressed, we all hope to feel better. We seek feeling better by learning how to make ourselves heal and relieve anxieties, in both immediate and long term ways. In other words, we self soothe. Self soothing is a way in which we treat ourselves to feelings of betterment, so that we can move forward, past any negativity or pain. As caregivers, if we learn to self-soothe, it can be a huge solution to managing our mindset, improving our mood and maintaining our health. Finding those techniques that will keep you grounded and peaceful by self soothing. Good Self Soothing TechniquesTouch. Taking a bubble bath filled with Epsom salt to help relax your musclesTaste. Drinking a cup of herbal tea to help relax. Smell. Aromatherapy Sight. Distracting yourself with your favorite movie or television show. Sound. Listening to your favorite music. The sooner you release the anxiety and stress, the sooner you'll find joy, health and positivity. You don't want to be stuck there. If you are not self-soothing daily, you are not close to your real emotional powers. Most people go through the world reacting (anger, frustrations, biases) as if they don't have the ability to change that. It's not easy, but you can master your emotionsYou might say stress just happens to me. Emotions do too. But, emotions are a physical and immediate impulsive responses. Emotions are not a feeling. They are a conscious mental reaction (such as anger or fear) subjectively experienced as strong feeling usually directed toward a specific object and typically accompanied by physiological and behavioral changes in the body.Feelings are ongoing. Feelings are what we hold on to over time. Those feeling drive our mood. A belief, especially a vague or irrational one. That mood becomes an habitual pattern. Then that mood become our attitude and personality. Those moments of anxiety stress and overwhelm require you to do something with itSelf-sooth to reduce stress can be going for a walk, taking a bath, going to the gym, taking breaths or making your protein shake. Self-soothing is your competitive edge or your ticket to being a peaceful warrior. There are two people in a stressful situations (One person loses it and the other stays calm (peaceful warrior). When you see great leaders who are peaceful warriors (Nelson Mandella, Martin Luther King, Their ability to switch stress and anxiety into a peaceful flow is remarkable. They learned how to calm their self down. They learned how to teach themself to release the stress/ anxiety. How to build healthy self soothing habits. Be open to the idea of creating self-healing techniquesExperiment with different approaches and ways to calm yourselfStep outside of your comfort zone, you never know what might work for youTrack your progress

Problem is: None of these things affects reliability. Poor reliability stems from under-done R&D. It’s like, bad design plus crap implementation equals poor reliability. Longer warranty doesn’t change that. But reliability is only half of the customer satisfaction equation. Being dealt with fairly and expeditiously when you have a problem is the other half. No evidence yet that I’ve seen - on moving the needle there, away from ‘Idi Amin’ and towards ‘Nelson Mandella’ on that. Cultural change is very hard. Especially when you’ve got one organisation importing the product and separate businesses selling it, and they’re currently not profitable. Selling Jeeps cannot be profitable at the moment. My standard advice to would-be Jeep Buyers is: If you are truly committed to being a lab rat in this experiment, contact your friendly neighbourhood psychiatrist. Wait for some evidence before dropping the big bucks on an enduring bad idea. When you’re out there asking people their opinion, the needle moves all over the spectrum. Very confusing. "Just wanted some advice on this vehicle. A lot of people say not to buy and others say it’s a good car. I have heard Jeep has a bad reputation of reliability and service but I would just like to hear your thoughts on his please. Thank you, - Linda Let’s say you’re out there, researching a new car, asking people you know about their experiences. Everyone you ask seems to be representing their honestly held view, and yet these are often deeply polarised and seemingly irreconcilable with other people’s accounts. Jeep cannot be both stellar and also Satan in a Suit. And yet, owners you ask will vote either way. It’s very confusing for the would-be owner, like Linda. Most people considering these dud brands … they kinda know (or they strongly suspect) that it’s a bad idea. But they are also emotionally enamoured. The gravitational pull of a brand can be quite strong. And yet, the stories of under-done engineering and malevolent customer support are too prolific and credible to ignore completely. But these act on a different part of the brain. The attraction goes straight to the id, whereas the part that screams ‘bad idea’ hits you in the intellect. It’s a conflicted state, and because you know what you want, confirmation bias is so insidious: so perhaps you look for, and find, that dude who thrashed his Grand Cherokee for 300,000 kilometres and it was bulletproof. Despite never being serviced and all attempts to break it. So - there’s your evidence. Justification. Whatever. If you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail - that’s confirmation bias. The real problem here is metadata, and bad conclusions. Almost everyone takes their own personal experience of one vehicle, and they extrapolate it up to the brand. That’s the problem.

I was very excited this week to have on the show Arthie Moore. She is a facilitator and leadership coach. But as with all of my guests she is so much more. I met Artie when she was the lead coach in a daily coaching group. ( change your World every day) She was delivering 30minute slots daily for 2 weeks. She covered her take on life and communication techniques. It was clear to me in these daily live broadcasts that she has a passion and commitment to leadership skills and the empowerment of all. I should say Arthie lives in South Africa and of Indian descent and while she has always faced issues of race, she has never let it fazes her. She can walk into any situation and expect the best and manage the room and achieve it. You cannot help but like her. What was fascinating about this conversation is we explored how she grew up in a tight race-driven society. You did not cross the boundary of colour. This was in South Africa in the apartheid years. The change happened when Nelson Mandella was elected president and Arthie turned 18. She was one of the first of a generation that went to a mixed-race University. This podcast is not about race and diversity. It is about those experiences, the crucible that turned Arthie into the powerhouse that she is. As the director of 2 international companies, she keynotes on communication and Motivational Speaker. She is an International Facilitator of the Celebrating Humanity Programmes, on Transformational Teambuilding, Diversity Training, Leadership Training and Team Conflict Resolution Strategies. She has delivered these programmes across Africa, South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, the wider worlds USA, London and Hong Kong. As you will hear on the show, she has a clarity of purpose, that is about inspiration and empowerment. It is about positively impacting the World, using the African principles of Leadership. The most amazing part for me is that she started her journey at just 19 years old. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did
It takes a pretty special person to be honored with the award—Freemen of London. After all, you can’t apply for it. You have to make significant impact in your field in order to be invited by the Court of Common Council to accept the freedom. Past recipients include Sir Winston Churchill, Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela, Florence Nightingale, and J.K. Rowling just to name a few. Our guest for this episode is a unique individual who is responsible for regeneration of local allotments, a community orchard, and is heavily involved in the Campaign for Real Ale. Ian White is an unassuming man, but you don’t get to be awarded the highest honor the city of London can bestow unless you are special. “We have architectural students coming on a regular basis to study this building style because of its simplicity—but also because of what it can empower people to do.” [3:03] The property Ian lives in is part of a Lewisham Council self-build scheme from the mid 80’s. It was designed to allow people with no carpentry skills whatsoever to build their own homes. The architect responsible for these do-it-yourself style homes (which took about two years to build with nothing but a drill and saw) is Walter Segal—a north London resident. Once a year, Ian and a few other houses in the area do an open house on a Sunday where the general public can come and explore the unique, self-styled homes. [13:57] Ian takes a particular interest in the Campaign for Real Ale, or CAMRA for short. He remembers being a young boy, passing these mysterious public houses he couldn’t look into. When he came of age he started going to pubs, but quickly found out he had more interest in the pubs with historical value over the nearest watering hole. When he moved to London he attended a beer festival and was signed up to be a CAMRA member. After working a number of festivals Ian became more involved, running a cider bar and then found a group that promotes cider specifically: Apple. He ended up becoming Apple’s regional coordinator. He took on the allotment in around 1998 when they weren’t that popular. It was tough going at first, slugs seeming to enjoy living in abandoned lots. “…wishing good health to trees in the dark depths of winter, basically we read a poem to the trees, anoint it with some cider, and hang some toast up in the branches for the birds—because the birds will eat the insects.” [16:38 ] Through managing some allotments, Ian came into taking over a cider press and making his own cider—now labeled One Tree Hill. Since Ian has to manage every apple, mill it, crush it, and make the cider from scratch he only makes about 30 gallons a year, not quite enough to start marketing to public houses. The apples he uses he collects from people’s backyards and other lots where they would be left to rot on the ground. [19:21] We venture to Ian’s allotment and see why he pushes gardening in these spaces as a way to bolster local communities. He runs an open day for the public where he shows people how to turn apples into apple juice—the children especially loving squashing the apples. He shares with us and the birds chirping on an excellent London day just how he came about becoming a Freemen of the City of London. Personal branding Mike received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) with recognition from Her Majesty The Queen for his contribution to the UK digital economy. Personal branding was synonymous with success! In his business life Mike was CEO of Telecity, a company he helped successfully from a market cap of 6 Million to well over 3 Billion. Growing the company was quite a journey, with several acquisitions along the way. Mike tells me about his personal brand and how it helped him along the way and how it is more longer lived than a business brand. He now spreads his time between 14 different non executive roles in South Africa, USA, Moscow, Hong Kong, Spain,Belgium, Amsterdam and his homeland the United Kingdom. Mike also enjoys charity work and is passionate about the education and empowerment of children in particular. He ran 40 Marathons in 40 days for the Prince’s trust 4oth anniversary. He also sleeps in the street once a year to support action for children, an initiative to get children off the streets. When he was a CEO he wrote a book called “Forget Strategy Get Results” as a public company CEO the shareholders loved the book of course! He has his second book coming along in the next few months. Mike Shares His Personal Branding Strategies In terms of personal branding helping him in his career, it was incredible for him personally and synonymous with the businesses success. He had a caricature of himself on a business card and through an app called Blippar his character would pop up and start talking to you through your phone. It had an image of him with his shirt open three buttons down, he still wears the same necklace today. Another one of his business cards had Mike on it and if you needed any more information he probably didn’t want to speak to you anyway! When presenting the results for the company people would ask if his shirt buttons were done up or open and not even attend the briefing. He would leave the three buttons undone if the results were good and only one was open if they were not as good. Personal Branding is All About Personality We agreed personal branding is about personality and how that plays into the businesses he is involved with is crucial. You are always selling yourself first, personal branding is so important because you can be selling anything or doing anything at work and you are still always selling yourself; it is about building confidence and trust and creating the sense of trust between you and someone else. When Mike learnt how to sell the gentleman that taught him explained that every unsuccessful attempt only gets you one step closer to success. When you are a vacuum cleaner salesperson statistically you know that not all the houses in the street will buy, and the likelihood of success is low. When you knock on that door you should be happy as you are one step closer to selling the vacuum cleaner. If you get on a bicycle you will fall off, if you gave up the first time you tried you would never manage it and if you bought all the books in the world to help you to ride a bicycle you would still fall off when you first got on! Failure is almost part of success and you should embrace it as it is part of the journey. Finding Work/Life Balance Mike’s new book is called “Live, Love, Work,Prosper” we agreed the work life balance doesn’t exist, it is difficult to achieve harmony. Nelson Mandella is a great inspiration to Mike but his home life was a disaster and trying to be focused on your career and having a home life and a business life you need to integrate them somehow otherwise one element suffers. Mike puts his mobile on the table every time he goes to dinner and some people think this is rude, but he has businesses in every timezone in the world and if his phone is on the table at least he can see it when it rings. He thinks this is better than putting the phone in the briefcase as it wastes brain cycles th...
With Fozzy returning to Australia for the first time in five years this November, frontman Chris Jericho feels it is important to set the record straight as to where Fozzy sits when it comes to entertainment."We play rock and roll with a smile," he emphasized. "There's nothing wrong with going to a rock and roll show and having a great time. It's almost been a bad thing to say that for a while. We know fans of our band wanna have fun when they come to our shows. It's like AC/DC in 1979 and if you put on anything with Bon Scott there's the best vibes and they're rocking and having fun and that's what we do. That's kind of Fozzy's job is to have you come to our show and leave with a smile on your face and leave all the shit in your lives at home. We're not a band to preach about Nelson Mandella - and it's great if you wanna do that - but it's just not gonna happen at a Fozzy show. To us it's about drinking and chanting Fozzy and jumping up and down and showing your moves; just having a good time, and that's something that people need right now and it's something this band has staked our reputation on."Listen to the full interview to hear Chris discuss what Fozzy has in store for Australian fans, what he thinks of the bands current wave of success, some reflection on the latest album, 'Judas', that has catapulted the band into the upper echelon of music, his early interest in blending a rock career with his wrestling duties, why Fozzy's first two albums were mainly covers plus the use of some of the worlds most famous guest artists on Fozzy albums.
There are oddities afoot in this 7/18/18 installment of BSP, bringing more questions than you can shake your beef at. It's Nelson Mandella's would-be 100th Birthday, one Terry Bollea has once again been spotted in the WWE Hall of Fame, fans ruin a spectacular Intercontinental Championship main event, and Paystee eases into 30, the hard way. So sit back, crack a beer and let the Mandellamania Effect run wild on you, brother!
Episode watched: #76 "Do You Know Shakespeare?" In this episode, everything sucks! Everything sucks and is awful! The plot revolves around blackface, for fuck's sake! This week we talk about a dogshit episode, Kevin Blart, we might hate blue jacket, the fifth turtle, alternate timeline flag, sentimental on main, ugly flashback outfit, reverse Kim Possible, identical cartoon injuries, dude leg with gun, leisurly jet, clearing this rubble with my gun, mood ring changed to dead color, an extremely racist twist, starring Al Jolson as Nelson Mandella, Zenigata's crime kart, NASA gyro tanning, Worst by Worstwest, Lupin assassinates the president, a fuckpile of ladybugs, Lincoln vs. Bizarro Lincoln, and all the Andrews have been bad.
This week on A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal, we welcome longtime music scene photographer Johnny Nunez! Johnny talks getting Warren Buffett to throw up the Roc, traveling the world with Dame Dash, getting chased (at different times) by Ol Dirty Bastard and Colin Powell, and sneaking into Nelson Mandella's house. We discussed the racism Johnny experienced as a child in Brooklyn, his family's escape to Long Island, getting kicked out of medical school just short of his graduation, living out of his car and on the verge of selling drugs for an old high school classmate, until he saw a vision that led him into a career in photography. All that, plus witnessing Suge Knight and Jimmy Henchman's beef, shooting Sting, Mick Jagger and Harvey Weinstein in Cannes, watching Kid Rock throw someone off a yacht, and much more!
