Eric Schneck and Michael Bellifemini break down all the story lines coming out of Las Vegas on this week's edition of Stock Car Scoop.
At first I thought some apocalyptic event had hit our town. Schools were all empty, there wasn't a school bus in sight, lots of people suddenly disappeared. Not to worry. It was just Spring Break. Of course, for many of America's young people, Spring Break is code for "party like there's no tomorrow, baby." Well, after downing lots of booze and sometimes drugs, your internal censors just go off duty. So a lot of folks come back from break with little memory of some big mistakes. Partying that lasts for a night; regrets and scars that can last a lifetime. Going for "break" and coming back broken. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Timeout Tragedies." There's this lie that sets people up for expensive choices, hurtful choices. What you do when you're away, or when you're alone, or when you're anonymous doesn't count. It's not just a lie students fall for. Businessmen on trips, women home alone, guys on the Internet, girls texting, people on vacation or at a party. I'm almost sure there's someone listening right now who would do anything to erase what they did when they believed it wouldn't matter. It does, doesn't it? Because while you can turn off your internal controls, you can't turn off your conscience. It picks up every wrong thing we do - or, in God's vocabulary, every sin. As observed by the wife of a governor who was disgraced by the discovery of his long - distance affair, she said, "You can pick your sin; you can't pick your consequences." It's so true. So your conscience is always running and so is your calculator. It's adding up the consequences, because as the Bible says, "whatever a man sows, he reaps." That's an inescapable law of the universe. Worst of all, the camera's always running, too. In our word for today from the Word of God, God's camera is described this way, "A man's ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all his paths." You know that "Sin City" commercial that says, "What you do here stays here"? No, forget about it! If God knows, you're caught. Oh, believe me, God knows. It doesn't matter how drunk you are, how depressed you are, how devious you are, how deserving you think you are. The Bible says, "be sure your sin will find you out" (Numbers 32:23). So, first the thrill, then the bill. The fear of discovery, the trail of cover-up deceit, the guilt, the shame, the loss of self-respect, the ugly consequences, and the judgment of Almighty God. "For," as the Bible says, "God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil" (Ecclesiastes 12:14). See, nothing good happens when we blow past God's stop signs. That's why we've got to run from the rocks that we've been drifting toward and saying "no!" to that seductive, but devilish voice that says "Forget about tomorrow; now is all that matters." Oh, tomorrow really does matter. But what about the memories? What about the shame of the mistakes that it's too late to change? Well, there's hope in a word called "forgiven." The very God whose plans for us we trash has made this stunning promise: "I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more" (Hebrews 8:12). Like the wonderful feeling of a shower when you're disgustingly dirty, God says He'll make us clean inside; every sin erased from His book, with our eternal sin-bill paid in full because of a cross. Where Jesus, God's one and only Son, in the Bible's words, "carried our sins in His own body on the tree" (1 Peter 2:24) and He absorbed the judgment I deserve: The choices that accuse us. Gone! Forgiven! That's what happens when a sinner grabs the Savior. It's nothing less than a new beginning. And that's why our website is called ANewStory.com. It's where you can find the information that will help you begin your new story with Jesus Christ. Please go there. The rebirth miracle is within your reach right now if you'll just tell Jesus, "I'm Yours from today on."

James Lott Jr sits down with the prolific author Dale Perelman about his fun, true stories, latest book.James Lott Jr sits down with the prolific author Dale Perelman about his fun, true stories, latest book. As turmoil rocked New Castle in the 1970s, a group of young men completed their military service and came home to a bleak future. Without college degrees or marketable skills, they found few options in Western Pennsylvania. Looking for a better life, they turned their eyes west. Las Vegas promised women, gambling, excitement, and the chance to make a buck. Over their decades on the floors of Sin City's casinos, they would rub shoulders with gangsters and stars and keep a sharp eye out for opportunity―and for card counters. Based on hours of exclusive interviews, author Dale Perelman unfolds this cavalier group's frolicking adventures as they navigated their way from the belly of the downtown Golden Gate to some of the Strip's premier casinos, all while teetering along the right side of the law. And Dale has a famous Actor son! The book is out now on Amazon.com

When in Las Vegas, most magicians plan to see shows by other magicians like Mike Hammer, Mac King, David Copperfield, and others. But there are other attractions not to be missed whilst visiting Sin City. One major attraction (in terms of both scope and physical size) is the Neon Museum. Just a few blocks from the downtown Fremont Street Experience lies one of the best kept secrets of the city. As casinos, hotels, motels, coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants turn out their lights for their last time, the glitz lives on at this outdoor museum. It is a feast for the eyes whether you go during the day or night. Both deliver extraordinary visual awe as you view the past to see some of these iconic signs that don't just live in history but now reside in their own “boneyard.” This week, Johann Rucker, one of the museum's curators tells us about the history of the museum and, perhaps why it is of historical importance to magicians. View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize Among the many signs and lights in the museum lies the statue of Siegfried and Roy. When the Mirage was torn down along with the Secret Garden, that left the statue of the legendary duo standing alone on the Strip. To preserve it from seeing the wrecking ball or local dump (or going in someone's private museum), the Neon Museum decided to preserve and display it in their outdoor exhibit. Though it has no neon lights adorning or shining on it, it stands now preserved among the rest of the historical landmarks as Siegfried and Roy take their spot in history for the world to see and remember how they changed the face of Las Vegas forever. The official unveiling of the statue is expected to take place on April 25, 2026. Download this podcast in an MP3 file by Clicking Here and then right click to save the file.
Incident Recap: On February 18, 2026, around 9:30 p.m., Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) officers attempted to stop Da'Quain Johnson (32, Black man) on a bicycle near Eastern Avenue SE, suspecting he was armed (he was a convicted felon on parole with a prior gun charge). Johnson fled into an apartment complex parking lot. Officers deployed a K-9, leading to a struggle on the ground. An officer fired 3 shots into Johnson while he was face-down (K-9 biting his arm/neck area). Johnson died early February 19 at a hospital. Two Videos & Conflicting Narratives:GRPD Bodycam/Dashcam Footage (released February 19–20): Shows chase, K-9 deployment, struggle. Officers yell "He's got a f***ing gun!" and claim Johnson pointed a firearm at an officer's face ("I saw the barrel pointed right at my face"). A handgun was recovered beneath Johnson; police say he resisted and posed imminent threat.Bystander Video (viral on social media, shared by activists and Commissioner Robert Womack): Shows Johnson face-down on the ground, hands possibly behind his back, K-9 still biting, officer firing from above. Family and community dispute police narrative, calling it an "execution" or "lynching"—mother Angelica Johnson said after viewing his body: "They shot him in the back of the head... the photos will speak for themselves." No gun clearly visible in bystander clip.Current Status: Four agencies investigating (GRPD internal, Michigan State Police, Kent County Prosecutor, possibly federal). No charges against officer yet (on leave). Community outrage growing—vigils, marches, press conferences demanding full footage, independent autopsy, accountability. Amnesty International USA called for truth/systemic change. Still local/regional (WOOD-TV, FOX 17, MLive, Michigan Advance)—no national pickup (CNN/FOX/CBS/NBC/GMA) as of now.Panel Angle: Disputing narratives, police use of force, K-9 tactics, racial justice—how this hits MC communities facing similar scrutiny.Woman Pleads Guilty to Drive-By Shooting at Hells Angels Clubhouse in EvelethIncident: On September 4, 2024, Adrien Marie Gunderson (40, Forbes, MN) fired multiple shots at the front door of the Hells Angels clubhouse in Eveleth, Minnesota (St. Louis County, Iron Range area). She got out of her vehicle, approached the door, and shot—charged with drive-by shooting toward an occupied building and unlawful possession of a firearm (felon).Plea & Outcome: On February 23–24, 2026, Gunderson pleaded guilty to felony drive-by shooting. Plea agreement allows her to argue for departure from guidelines (presumptive 50+ months prison due to history). Sentencing set for May 2026—faces up to 4 years or more. No injuries reported; motive unclear (possible dispute/personal grudge).Context: Highlights ongoing tensions targeting Hells Angels properties—rare for a woman perpetrator.UNBELIEVABLE! 1%ers Outcast, Hells Lovers & Sin City Party Together St. LouisEvent: A recent "all Black" or unity party in St. Louis, Missouri, brought together chapters of Outcast MC, Hells Lovers MC, and Sin City (likely Sin City Disciples or similar)—three 1%er clubs known for rivalries or territorial history.Details: Outcast held the east wall, Sin City the south, Hells Lovers the stage. Reports describe it as peaceful—peace, fun, love, no drama. Shared widely on biker pages (e.g., Black Dragon Biker Facebook, Biker Liberty) as "UNBELIEVABLE" unity amid MC chaos elsewhere.Significance: Rare cross-club gathering—highlights shifting alliances or respect in the scene. Ties into broader MC unity themes.MC Protocol: Stopping Brothers from Sabotaging Your Marriage/RelationshipCore Discussion: In MC culture, "brothers" can unintentionally (or intentionally) interfere in members' personal lives—e.g., encouraging wild behavior, late nights, or drama that strains marriages/old lady relationships.Protocol Tips:Set boundaries early: Communicate with your old lady and club about expectations (e.g., no solo partying, respect for committed status).Club support: Lean on trusted brothers for accountability (e.g., "call me out if I'm slipping").Old lady role: Many view old ladies as partners—protect the relationship as club priority.Consequences: Sabotage can lead to internal drama or expulsion if it harms brotherhood.Panel Angle: Real-talk on loyalty vs. personal life—how to balance club life without letting it wreck marriages.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-dragon-s-lair-motorcycle-chaos--3267493/support.Sponsor the channel by signing up for our channel memberships. We feel this is a major accomplishment considering much of our target audience hasn't yet discovered podcasts, much less decided to incorporate them into their daily lives. Send us a textWhat happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Not today. Welcome back, everyone, to the conclusion of my interview with retired Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sergeant Jenn Benjamins. Jenn Benjamins is a retired sergeant from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department with nearly 22 years of real-world experience in patrol, case investigations, and covert/undercover operations. Her interest in undercover work led her to the Vice Section, where she refused to be limited by traditional expectations. While excelling in female undercover roles, Jenn was determined - and succeeded - in working undercover alongside her male counterparts. She developed a specialized training program within the Vice Section, implemented policy, and conducted department-wide training on vice crimes and related laws.Throughout her career, Jenn worked a wide variety of undercover assignments throughout Las Vegas, collaborating not only with specialized units such as narcotics but also with federal partners, including the ATF, DEA, and FBI. Recognizing a critical need, Jenn founded Covert Blue, where she makes it her mission to provide specialized training for women in undercover roles - programs that build technical expertise while also addressing the unique dynamics and challenges women face in the field. Please enjoy this very real and informative interview with someone who has lived a life that is found more often in movies and books. God has all kinds of reasons for why He gives us what He does but we may not always understand what He's given us or why. Today, we're going to look at Exodus 16, when the Lord gives His people quail, manna and the Sabbath and yet they still complained! Today, we'll look into these blessings of God how to rejoice in all that God gives to us. Join us! DISCUSSION AND STUDY QUESTIONS: 1. As we turn to Exodus 16, the events of this passage took place in the Valley of Sin. What this "sin" like in "Sin City" or did the term "sin" speak to something else? 2. In verse 3, the people were remembering their slavery with fondness and complaining to Moses about their present lack of food. How can a present difficulty cause us to glamorize things in the past, or more importantly, how can present difficulty sometimes cause us to be unhappy with God's blessings in our present situation? 3. This chapter is mostly about God's provision of manna. Do you think this was a blessing from the Lord? Why? 4. Why did the people have to gather manna every day? What would happen if they tried to store it on any day but the Sabbath? What happened when they stored it over the Sabbath? How would this have shown the people that the manna was directly from the Lord and not some natural phenomena? 5. What did the Lord want they people to do on the Sabbath in verses 29 & 30? What was the Sabbath supposed to be about? Why do you think this would have been a blessing to the people? 6. Is the Sabbath still binding for New Covenant Christians? If not, what principles of the Sabbath still carry over into our lives today? What does this show us about the principle of carving out time each week to rest and renew in the Lord? 7. Later in John 6:35, Jesus calls Himself the "Bread of Life". In light of this passage's teaching on manna, what do you think Christ meant when He called Himself this? What does this point to in our present-day relationship with Jesus? 8. The end of the podcast mentions that Exodus 18 and Leviticus 7 & 11 seem to imply that the Jews had other foods to eat besides just manna, yet manna was clearly a key part of their diet. Why do you think the people complained so much about something that was so graciously and miraculously given to them by God? How should we respond to God's work in our life when it's not what we'd like, but it is what we need? 9. Is there any place in your personal life, where you're tempted to complain with the life situation that you're in? First, trust that God knows your pain and suffering. Then, be prayerfully watching and waiting for His work in your situation. What provisions has He given to you to help you not only endure but even to thrive in your situation? Send us a textWhat happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Not today. Welcome, everyone, to part one of my interview with retired Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sergeant Jenn Benjamins. The conclusion of this interview will be next Sunday!Jenn Benjamins is a retired sergeant from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department with nearly 22 years of real-world experience in patrol, case investigations, and covert/undercover operations. She began her career in patrol before moving into Community Oriented Policing, serving in one of the newest area commands in the oldest, most historic parts of Las Vegas. Her interest in undercover work led her to the Vice Section, where she refused to be limited by traditional expectations. While excelling in female undercover roles, Jenn was determined - and succeeded - in working undercover alongside her male counterparts. She went on to develop a specialized training program within the Vice Section, implement policy, and conduct department-wide training on vice crimes and related laws.Throughout her career, Jenn worked a wide variety of undercover assignments throughout Las Vegas, collaborating not only with specialized units such as narcotics but also with federal partners, including the ATF, DEA, and FBI. Recognizing a critical need, Jenn founded Covert Blue, where she makes it her mission to provide specialized training for women in undercover roles - programs that build technical expertise while also addressing the unique dynamics and challenges women face in the field. Please enjoy this eye-opening, entertaining, and informative interview with someone who has lived a life that is found more often in movies and books. In today's episode, we discuss:· Where and how she got interested in law enforcement. · Why be a cop in Vegas?· Jenn's experience in the police academy being one of the few females in her class.· Her first day of field training.· An armed suspect firing at an airship on her first assignment.· Her first day going out solo when she finished field training. · First time riding the lightning (Taser) during training.· Jenn's crazy pepper spray story.· How soon she started doing undercover work. Was she ready?· Her first time being an undercover prostitute and an interesting question she didn't know how to answer.· Arresting pimps and other prostitutes for pandering. Les casinos explosent après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, souvent avec l'argent de la mafia, et la ville se transforme en un gigantesque parc lumineux, entre spectacles, mariages express et répliques de monuments célèbres du monde entier.
