Send me a Text Message!I closed the last episode of this series, with the words, "Our hearts follow our treasures. If we aren't surrendering our treasures to God, then we're robbing God of our hearts." Do you understand God doesn't need our money. He wants our hearts. And if we chase God with all our hearts, He promises to open up the floodgates of heaven and pour out an uncontainable blessing. If we pursue God with all our hearts, here is the promise, God says, "I will open the floodgates of heaven and pour out uncontainable blessings."Ask yourself the question, "Is my life overflowing with God's blessings?"
Most people trying to get healthier are losing a battle they don't know they're fighting. It's not a lack of information. It's not even a lack of effort. It's something quieter — the stories running beneath the surface, the environments they've stopped noticing, the split-second decisions that feel small until they're not.Martin Silva has spent 20 years coaching people out of the patterns that keep them stuck. A former competitive natural bodybuilder who hit the aesthetic ceiling and found it hollow, he now works with high-achievers in their 40s and 50s — people who are disciplined in every area of life except this one.In this conversation, Martin unpacks the real architecture of lasting change: why willpower always fails, how your circle quietly shapes your body, why doing less in the gym often produces more, and what it actually takes to stop starting over. The information was never the problem.BIG IDEAIt's way easier to avoid temptation than it is to resist it — and no one gets healthy by relying on willpower.Martin Silva - Contact InfoWebsite: OptimiseYourBody.comPodcast: Martin Silva FitnessInstagram: Martin Silva FitnessSend Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. The truth and hope that we need in our daily lives is all in Scripture. Rather than assuming that we won't understand what's in it, we need to dive deeply into reading the Bible and learning from this text message that God wrote for us to teach us about Him and how to live our lives.
This week, Alex is joined by the math-crunching co-founder of the brand-new Fourth Location website: Lauren (Laurenwhatevs)! The duo kicks things off by celebrating the launch of Lauren's new ad-free hub for Marvel Snap content before diving into the latest game updates. They discuss the massive quality-of-life improvements from Wild Boosters and free Split Re-rolls, and share their hopes for the upcoming Hyper Cube Rush event easing the notoriously sweaty Ranked Ladder grind.Next, it's time for new card reviews! Alex and Lauren break down the latest releases:Sub-Mariner: Is this 1/2 scaling threat bugged? The hosts detail the frustrating lack of synergy with Venus and why the card is heavily underperforming.Namorita: Alex gets excited about slotting this 3/5 cost-reducer into Silver Surfer, while Lauren pitches a greedy, draw-heavy Thanos shell.Triton: A 3/4 that buffs the opponent? The hosts roast this card, calling it a 1.5-star skip whose only real use is accidentally ruining Cerebro decks. Finally, they tackle the massive Marvel Snap Monetization Debate. Prompted by the community mailbag, Alex and Lauren discuss the harsh reality of a bloated Series 5, why the RNG Token Shop carousel is actively driving players away, and why viewing the $10 Season Pass as a monthly subscription is the healthiest way to play the game.Join Alex Coccia and special guest Lauren as they chat about this and more on this episode of The Snap Chat—and catch Cozy and Alex every week as they discuss all things Marvel Snap.Have a question or comment for Cozy and Alex? Send me a Text Message! This message was given on Father's Day as part of our summer Psalms series. And here is the heart of the message. Before we ever talk about the kind of fathers we need to be, we need to talk about the Father we long for. I really believe that in every heart, there is a father we long for. I know we come with mixed emotions on Father's Day. But before we talk about the kind of fathers we want to be, weshould talk about the kind of Father we have. He's described in Psalm 103. We long for a Father, for a Father God who loves us unconditionally, unrelentingly, with His whole heart. See before I can be a good father, I need to have a good Father. And in the journey of become a good father, I need to understand where the journey starts. It's not about trying harder, it's about looking higher. He is the father our hearts long for...

In this episode, I explore Henry David Thoreau's essay Walking and what it can teach us about becoming better readers. Thoreau believed that walking could be transformed into something deeper than exercise—a practice of attention, presence, and discovery. I argue that reading can undergo the same transformation. I'll share four different reading speeds, explain why most readers spend too much time moving too fast, and discuss how to turn reading from information consumption into something closer to contemplation. I'll also share a book recommendation and a few updates from the community.Send Me a Text Message with Your Questions

Sangiovese is the classic example of how a wine can taste completely different depending on where it is from and how it is made, and this episode demonstrates that fact in spades. Sangiovese is one of the great Italian wine grapes, but because of its strong association with the wine Chianti, it has a bit of a mixed reputation. In its defense, Chianti is really a food wine which is where its acidity really shines. But Sangiovese itself is an amazing wine grape that can vary from light and fruity like a Gamay to velvety and smooth like a Merlot. On that note, it may surprise you to know that about half of all of the Sangiovese grown in Italy is not grown in Tuscany, and regions like Puglia, Emilia-Romagna and Marche are making fantastic versions of it. In this episode, we taste and review two wines made from 100% Sangiovese from Umbria and tiny Molise, and without spoiling it too much, we can tell you that they are very different wines, almost hard to tell they are from the same grape, and are different than Chianti. In a good way. Join us to find out more! Steven Spielberg has release his latest movie, which is his most recent take on the idea that Aliens have visited Earth…Disclosure Day. Anytime Spielberg releases a movie, it's a big deal, but when it's a Sci-Fi film, you know that the Regulars Joes will have opinions. This week, to celebrate the release of Disclosure Day, Dave and Barry decided to do a rewatch of Spielbergs first "Alien" movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The guys share their thoughts on both movies, one brand new and one thats almost 50 years old…to see how Spielbergs movies have evolved and how Sci-Fi movies in general have evolved since 1977. There's also the usual Random Topics including discussion of the YouTube video featuring a look inside Spielberg archives, and a round of What's in the Box featuring an item signed by Spielbergs Best Friend for over 50 years. Send me a Text Message!Malachi was a contemporary of Nehemiah and we are going to detour to some of Malachi's words in this episode. As the people make their commitment to return to God, Malachi's words seem so appropriate. Malachi tells God's people how to return to God, why they are missing God. Malachi spoke to a generation of Israelites who, like many of us today, were chasing everything other than God. Some of us keep wondering why we never run into God, but we can't run into God while we are chasing other stuff. There are really only two directions inlife, either chasing God or running from God. So how do we return? It could involve many things...but let's not miss the map God gave in Malachi's day. If you want to return, stop robbing God. We would probably expect God to say, "If you want to return to me, Pray more. Dive into the Bible." Both are incredibly important! But what does God say? "Stop robbing me." Are you robbing God?

Send me a Text Message!I believe that a sin-soaked heart is life's greatest problem. It keeps us from life and leads us to addiction. It ravages marriages, breaks families, and hardens hearts. It drains joy and reaps discouragement. It causes us to care about so much that matters so little. A sin-soaked heart is life's greatest problem. But even more importantly, or at least more personally, my sin-soaked heart is my greatest problem. But my greatest hope is that we are relentlessly pursued by a lavishly gracious, greatly merciful, fiercely loyal, patiently loving God. He is in pursuit of you. He's already pursued you all the way to the cross. If He went that far, He won't stop. Sometimes chasing God is as simple as stop running, and turn around. Give Him your ears. Give Him your heart. Become one of His love stories.

Send me a Text Message!Let's be honest, we don't like the concept of sin. Sin involves moral absolutes and judgement. Sin has consequences. We prefer the word mistake. A mistake is an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning. I'm not bad. I just didn't have all the information. I wasn't thinking clearly. Didn't know any better. I tried, but I'm not perfect. At worst I was careless, it's an oops, my bad, get over it. I'm sorry you were hurt, get over it.Oops, didn't mean to hurt you. Oops, I didn't know any better. Oops I got angry, but you made me. Oops didn't mean to say that... out loud. Be honest, would you rather be a sinner or an oopster? But here's the deal. What if we're not oopsters, we're sinners. If that's the case then, I desperately need the compassionate heart of a merciful, grace giving God!Are you an oopster?
Send Katie a Text Message!! One of the biggest misconceptions I see in the interior design industry is the belief that profitability automatically means your business is healthy. It doesn't.You can have beautiful projects, happy clients, strong revenue, and still be operating a business that can't handle another level of growth. In this episode, I'm breaking down the difference between a profitable design business and a scalable design firm—and why that distinction matters if you're trying to move from six figures to seven figures. We're talking about the hidden ways owners compensate for weak systems, how growth exposes structural problems, and why building a load-bearing business matters more than simply increasing revenue. In This Episode, We Cover:Why profitability and scalability are not the same thingThe signs your business may already be at capacityHow owner dependency creates hidden risksThe four load-bearing elements of a scalable design firmWhy more growth often reveals business weaknessesHow to run a simple load test on your businessThe CEO mindset required for sustainable growthIf you've ever felt like your business is working but something still feels off, this episode is for you.Because the goal isn't just to make more money. It's to build a business that can actually carry the success you're creating.Connect with KatieLinkedInBusiness Strategy Sessions for Interior Designers Free Resources for scaling your interior design firmWebsite

Send me a Text Message! You wouldn't necessarily expect to find it oozing out of the Old Testament, but Nehemiah 9 gives us a fresh look at the heart of God. Listen, there has never been a moment in your life where God's love for you has dipped below the red-line. It never fails. Unfailing love. There is no one else in your life who will not fail you. But his love never fails. You are relentlessly loved with an indiscriminate affection. That's the story he's writing. That's His voice you hear whispering, "Child come home." His heart is for you. And when we know his heart.. Our only response is to return. This is the essence of repentance. This is why we look deeply at our sin. It's not to lash our hearts with shame and guilt. It's not to motivate us to work harder. It's because this is what returning looks like. So, is it time to return?
Craig Emmerich spent a decade eating low-carb and feeling great — until he wasn't. What followed was a quarter-million dollars, a chronic Lyme diagnosis, and a hard-won education in what diet alone simply cannot do.In this conversation, Craig and Dr. Ovadia pull apart one of the most seductive myths in the metabolic health space: that the right food is always the right answer. They talk protein thresholds, personal fat limits, the case for bio-identical hormones, and the nuanced reality of GLP-1s — all filtered through 20-plus years of clinical observation and thousands of client testimonies. What emerges is a framework built not on ideology but on context. The question isn't which diet is correct. The question is what your body actually needs right now — and whether you're asking that question honestly.Craig and Maria Emmerich's new book, The Art of Metabolic Health, is available at ketomaria.com.BIG IDEAThe number one failure of any diet is noncompliance — and the number one failure of any health strategy is mistaking the tool for the answer.Craig Emmerich Contact InfoWebsiteKetoMaria.comhttps://ketomaria.com/Newest BookThe Art of Metabolic Health https://keto-adapted.com/product/the-art-of-metabolic-health/Send Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. Send me a Text Message! One of the ways that my stream of Christianity likes to describe our faith is with the words, "A personal relationship with God." It's not about religion, it's about relationship, a personal relationship with God. But what in the world does it mean to have a personal relationship with God? In Psalm 46:10, it starts with these words, "Be still and know that I am God."Usually when we think of the stillness, we think of quiet; a lack of distractions and in our world today, the noise is part of our problem. I'm not saying we don't need quiet. But when God says in Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God." it's a far deeper call than just "be quiet." The Hebrew word means stop striving. Literally let your arms hang down and your hands go slack. Stop fighting. Relax. Quit trying to measure up. Give up. Hands up. Let it go. And watch me be God. That's at the heart of this message in answer to the question, "Do you know God?"
Rochester Fire Chief Stefano Napolitano has spent nearly four decades in the fire service, leading with a mindset rooted in purpose, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to serving others in their most critical moments. From growing up as the son of immigrant parents who sacrificed everything to provide a better life, to leading Rochester Fire in one of the most diverse cities in New York, his leadership has been shaped by resilience, humility, and a deep understanding of people. That upbringing continues to influence how he leads today, with a focus on empathy, work ethic, and putting others before yourself. In this episode of The Chief Exchange, Chief Napolitano shares what it truly means to be at your best when others are at their worst, and why leadership is demonstrated through actions, not titles. We discuss how his experience running his own business shaped his obsession with customer service, why most leaders still have room to improve in how they serve others, and the small, intentional actions that make people feel valued. He breaks down the balance between being respected and being liked, the importance of mentorship from both sides of the relationship, and how to build a culture that drives retention by making people feel seen and appreciated. We also dive into lessons on patience, enjoying the journey rather than rushing to the destination, and even touch on modern communication habits like responsiveness and read receipts on text messages. From turnaround leadership to leading with empathy in a diverse community, this conversation is about perspective, growth, and lifting others as you climb.

You may think you know Pinot Grigio, but do you know Pinot Gris? Pinot Gris is the same grape as Pinot Grigio, but in taste, body, and just about every other way that matters, they can feel worlds apart. And, on a very interesting side note, Pinot Gris is also a color mutation of Pinot Noir, but that's another story. In this episode, we focus specifically on Pinot Gris from Alsace, France, a region famous for its white wines. And of all the white wines made there, Pinot Gris is one of the biggest and richest, which may surprise anyone whose idea of Pinot Grigio is something light, thin, and mostly harmless. This is not your grandma's Italian Pinot Grigio. Alsace Pinot Gris can be big, rich, and high in alcohol, and people who love a fuller-bodied Chardonnay may find a lot to like. Surprise! In our tasting, we were struck by just how different these wines were from the Pinot Grigio most people know. Same grape. Very different experience. Wines reviewed in this episode: 2020 Pierre Sparr Grande Réserve Pinot Gris and 2020 Frey-Sohler Vieilles Vignes Pinot GrisSend us a Text Message and we'll respond in our next episode!Contact The Wine Pair Podcast - we'd love to hear from you!Visit our website, leave a review, and reach out to us: https://thewinepairpodcast.com/Follow and DM us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thewinepairpodcast/Send us an email: joe@thewinepairpodcast.com

Send me a Text Message! In the last episode, I encouraged us to ask God for more. But here's the reality, too often we are satisfied to settle for something less than all God has for us. Why are we satisfied to settle for less? Are we satisfied to settle for less purity in our hearts? Are we satisfied to settle for less people following Jesus? Are we satisfied with the state of our relationships. Are we satisfied with the degree to which we know God and experience his presence in our lives? Or do we want more? In this episode, we'll ponder a couple of reasons why we settle for less and I will encourage you, "Don't be satisfied with less, because there is more!"
We'd love to hear from you! Please send us a Text Message! If you haven't heard it yet, start with Part 1. Think ballads and relaxed grooves. Take a break and cool out over the beauty and intimacy of some of Link's best ballads sung by 4 or 5 top vocalists who have worked with him over for 3 or 4 decades and are all still going strong. All that's required of you are a good pair of headphones, an easy chair and the time to do it. Get the inside stories on how and why the songs were written – the story behind the real life drama. Take a walk in the snow, an evening on the beach, a ride through the desert of the great Southwest, a night under the stars and so much more. Part 2 is the same concept as above presenting 9 more songs,Theater of the Imagination is presented by Watchfire Music
Send me a Text Message!Someone asked me years ago, "What do you picture when you keep talking about and praying for an awakening, for a revival. The question surprised me, not that it was asked but because I didn't have a quick answer. But as I've thought about it, while it is as varied as the creative work of God. If I could give it just one word, it would be the word, MORE. I just want more. More Jesus. More of His Spirit. More glory. More neighbors being loved. More holiness. More power in prayer. More people coming more alive to the glory of God and the love of Jesus. More joy. More presence.God cannot be manipulated, but He can be asked. So would you join me and ask God for more?

"Send later is not for affairs. That's what Signal is for." David Samson got a naked text from Chris Cote, and it led us to a revelation that he schedules his text messages to his significant other. Did you know that you can schedule text messages? Or do you fart them into the sky as Dan does? Plus, Samson is curious about why the Los Angeles Lakers' front-office changes didn't get more attention, discusses the reaction to Tom Dundon taking over the Portland Trail Blazers, and waxes poetic with us about pitchers wearing jackets.
