Internal Affairs (2002) (Hong Kong)   Infernal Affairs is a 2002 Hong Kong action thriller film co-directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak. Jointly written by Mak and Felix Chong, it stars Andy Lau, Tony Leung, Anthony Wong, Eric Tsang, Sammi Cheng and Kelly Chen. The film follows an undercover Hong Kong Police Force officer who infiltrates a Triad, and another officer who is secretly a spy for the same Triad. It is the first in the Infernal Affairs series and is followed by Infernal Affairs II and Infernal Affairs III. The film was selected as the Hong Kong entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 76th Academy Awards but was not nominated. Instant Hotel is an Australian reality television series which began airing on the Seven Network on 7 November 2017.[1] The series follows homeowners who have transformed their homes into hotels and are individually judged by each other to receive the highest scores with the winner to win an ultimate prize.   The Before trilogy consists of three films directed by Richard Linklater, and starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy as lovers Jesse and Céline at three different parts of their lives. The trilogy consists of the films Before Sunrise (1995), Before Sunset (2004) and Before Midnight (2013). Filmed and set at nine-year intervals, each film takes place over the course of a few hours. A short sequence in the animated anthology film Waking Life also features the characters.

The 2005 live action Chinese film based on the Manga. Featuring mega star triple threat Jay Chou in his first leading role, and Anthony Wong as Bunta, his abusive dad. We have Ip Man fight choreographer and kung fu expert Leo Au Yeung on the show today. Leo is a Hong Kong-born Wing Chun expert who teaches in London. From an early age, he was taught the close-combat Wing Chun style by Ip Chun - the son of legendary kung fu master, Ip Man, who would go on to teach a young Bruce Lee. We talk about Ip Chun's teaching methods as well as his now iconic father. In 2008, Leo was asked to be involved in a film which would depict the early life of Ip Man. The subsequent movie, Ip Man, starred Donnie Yen in the lead role with action supervised by Sammo Hung and was a huge international hit. In 2010, Leo was asked to be involved in another Ip Man movie, The Legend is Born: Ip Man, a prequel to the original 2008 film. Ip Chun appears in the film as Leung Bik - Ip Man's master - and features in a Wing Chun sequence choreographed by Leo. Leo also choreographed and appeared in the 2013 film, Ip Man: The Final Fight, with Anthony Wong in the title role. With so many Ip Man movies, Leo and I have a discussion about how he feels the films portray not just the man, but also the style he practiced.

Anthony Wong es uno de esos actores que tienen una trayectoria de lo más curiosa. Comenzó siendo el rey de la exploitation chunga de los 90 y ha acabado en el mainstream más comercial protagonizando dramas y comedias como la que nos ocupa.Producida por Jackie Chan, House of Fury es un ligero e intrascendente entretenimiento que al menos cuenta con Wong como eje de unión, interpretando a un cabeza de familia que se vanagloria de un fantasioso pasado de espía... hasta que resulta que todo es verdad y sus hijos tienen que ir a rescatarlo, pateando todos los culos posibles en el intento. "The Four" is the kind of movie that explains why imported films dominate more than 70 percent of market share in Chinese cinemas. For the duration of the film, you do not sense much serious commitment other than the commitment to profit. Director Gordon Chan has a habit of providing the public with whatever is missing in the market. And, apparently, he has found that Chinese movie-goers are missing a movie adaptation of a Gongfu novel written by Wen Rui'an, who is perhaps the third most popular Gongfu novelist in China. But "The Four" is not so much about Gongfu as it is about superheroes and sorcery. The screenwriters, led by the director, have stripped the original work of its Gongfu essence, keeping the names to lure an audience. The major characters, including the four constables, possess abilities that are often seen in science fiction: werewolf powers, telepathy, elemental powers, and other things that remind you of the X-Men series. These are all cheap and easy ways to entertain the audience, but the online comments suggest that the viewers are not pleased. Other noticeable efforts include the use of the camera rail system. This technique does lend a third dimension to a 2D action film. Apart from that, there is hardly any professional use of cameras. The film seems to consist of too many close shots in numerous short takes, perhaps a little too many for viewers who have stomach problems. Fortunately, you may only have to endure the close-up assault for the first 15 minutes. After that, your can focus on other parts of the film. For example, you can concentrate on the beautiful face of actresses Liu Yifei. Her role in the film is that of a female constable named Wuqing or, and here I quote the appalling subtitles, Emotionless. This role, Emotionless, may sound challenging for Hollywood actresses, but not for Chinese ones. For an actress to be popular in China, she needs to have two faces: a pretty face and a poker face. Liu Yifei has both and therefore nails the character without much effort. Almost every other actor and actress fails to create an impact, including the stage veteran Anthony Wong. The only other exception is actor Wu Xiubo who saved the day. His acting is perhaps the only thing about the film that makes the viewers ask for more. Nonetheless, more will come. "The Four" is just a prequel in a Gongfu film series, and that means we will see more poker-faces and superheroes. So, it seems there are profits to make in the Chinese movie industry after all, enough to encourage investors and directors to make more films, regardless of the quality and viewers' opinions. For the matter at hand, I give "The Four" a three out of ten.
