Precisei me manter forte e leve.

The Battler from Baia Formosa and reigning Brazilian world champ, Italo Ferreira, joins the beating heart of the Brazilian Storm, Jadson Andre, LIVE from Narra De Janeiro. What a story it is. From starting out surfing on his fisherman father's esky lid to dominating Gabriel Medina in a Pipe Master's Showdown to claim his first World Title, Italo is the quintessential done-good battler. A village kid at heart who never forgets his roots and brings his battler kin along for the ride, he's a Core Lord, King Pin, Cone Fiend, Fly Guy, Swellian Spirit Animal of the highest order. And Jaddy....what more can you say about the man. The battler's battler, world tour surfing's most adored cult hero, born to parents who were 13 and 15 years old respectively, raised in poverty, leaving home on his own for Sao Paulo in his early teens, fighting his way onto the elite tour, beating Slater at his peak to win the Brazilian 'CT event, an aerial innovator who never got the respect he deserved, a decade plus swinging between the World Tour and World Qualifying Series, more grit than a mouthful of broken teeth. What an honour it was. Up the The Giant Killer Andre. Up the Fly Guy Ferreira. Up the Swellians. Hmmmmmmmmad. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Coco Ho is back hosting another episode of "Getting Heated," and as the Championship Tour enters Australia and surfers begin their time in quarantine she has a lot to talk about with three-time World Champ Mick Fanning and New School icon Ross Williams. They start the conversation with a spirited back-and-forth about who will be most effective in staying fit being competition ready after two weeks locked in a hotel room. For next round of fiery banter, the trio delve into who the most impactful Brazilian surfer on tour is. Given in the last six years we've seen three South American World Champs -- Adriano de Souza, Gabriel Medina and Italo Ferreira -- there's no shortage of stuff to unpack. The episode wraps with a timely question about 11-time World Champ Kelly Slater's future after withdrawing from the Australian leg of the tour. The new episode is here. O trio ainda cita recentes experiências pessoais no universo digital salgado pra engrossar a sopa e bate palma pro campeão mundial de 2020. Lendas nunca morrem! Saravá! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/boia/message
--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/boia/message
