AI For Humans
We Tested The Mystery AI That Showed Up Out Of Nowhere

AI For Humans

AI news this week: a mystery AI called 0x Alpha appeared out of nowhere. It's completely free (for now), it's really good at coding, nobody will say who made it. So obviously we tested it. On today's AI For Humans, Kevin Pereira and Gavin Purcell dig into where 0x Alpha might have come from, the continual learning conspiracy theories, and exactly how you can try it yourself right now for free. Then Gavin spends fifty hard earned Patreon dollars testing MiniMax H3 Max, the supposedly super fast new AI video model from Fal, and... look, we'll just tell you what happened. Also: the World Humanoid Robot Games happened in Beijing, and it was the greatest event in AI For Humans history. A robot sprinter beat Usain Bolt's 100m time, robots set high jump and long jump records, and a whole lot of other robots fell down in ways that will make you feel much better about the future. Plus: Mr. Beast quietly goes back to AI thumbnails, Dr. Dre has thoughts about AI and creativity, Delta wants AI to set your ticket price, someone seeded a fake product to the top of ChatGPT's recommendations, and Apple Messages may be blocking ChatGPT. And an AI See What You Did There with week four of the fishing game built entirely with AI and all of San Francisco as a playable video game. NOBODY MADE IT. EVERYBODY'S TESTING IT. WE'D LIKE TO EAT SOME WORMS.   // Show Links // 0x Alpha, the mystery model free on OpenRouter https://openrouter.ai/stealth/ox-alpha https://x.com/opencode/status/2090544355824038300?s=20 Rumors 0x Alpha is "continually learning" (and the doubters) https://x.com/Bhavani_00007/status/2091936998730940699?s=20 The continual learning "conspiracy" https://x.com/Hesamation/status/2092157700608053751?s=20 https://x.com/TimJayas/status/2091779605921460563?s=20 Gavin's Claude Code called 0x Alpha cocky https://x.com/gavinpurcell/status/2092106801638760591?s=20 MiniMax H3 Max, post-trained by Fal https://x.com/gorkem/status/2091945568411255288?s=20 The H3 Max promise https://x.com/gokayfem/status/2091991790219841875?s=20 Magnific's MiniMax H3 Max promo https://x.com/magnific/status/2091922612989706432?s=20 Free two weeks of MiniMax H3 https://x.com/MiniMax_AI/status/2091948930124947941?s=20 Ink/smoke graphic prompt to try https://x.com/techhalla/status/2091483350934397091?s=20 Convert 16x9 to 9x16 prompts https://x.com/Framer_X/status/2091964772656799810?s=20 Create sprites & animations for games https://x.com/andrew_n_carr/status/2091560238558429560?s=20 A robot sprinter beat Usain Bolt's 100m time https://www.cbsnews.com/news/china-robot-usain-bolt-sprint-run-record-faster/ https://x.com/EHuanglu/status/2091213372717179143?s=20 Did robots discover a new running method? https://x.com/ErenChenAI/status/2091714982572409241?s=20 https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202608/1368875.shtml?ref=explainx Standing high jump record https://x.com/RT_com/status/2091204407954178459 Long jump record https://x.com/ViralRushX/status/2091811768364605512?s=20 Weightlifting fails https://x.com/WHRGFUN/status/2091897948787372368?s=20 Obstacle course fails https://x.com/WHRGFUN/status/2092011943594737838?s=20 https://x.com/clankrmedia/status/2091862394146312291?s=20 Faceplant off the box https://x.com/takumi_k_jpn/status/2091796599924220077?s=20 Robot dance fail https://x.com/pianhangx/status/2091934123019637157?s=20 Gavin's robot tennis fail video https://x.com/gavinpurcell/status/2091366474984390872?s=20 Mr. Beast back to AI thumbnails (sorta) https://x.com/mws/status/2091631742411022670?s=20 Dr. Dre on AI https://x.com/Variety/status/2091515812087480538?s=20 Delta to use AI for dynamic pricing https://x.com/HedgieMarkets/status/2090855841050120512?s=20 Week 4 of the fishing game made entirely with AI https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeAI/comments/1vxdnw6/week_4_of_making_my_fishing_game_entirely_with_ai/ All of San Francisco as a video game https://x.com/cdngdev/status/2091909073038082139?s=20 https://sf.thijs.gg   // Join the AI For Humans community // Join the AI For Humans Discord https://discord.gg/muD2TYgC8f Support AI For Humans on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/AIForHumansShow Subscribe to the AI For Humans newsletter https://aiforhumans.beehiiv.com/ Follow AI For Humans on X: @AIForHumansShow https://x.com/AIForHumansShow Follow AI For Humans on TikTok: @aiforhumansshow https://www.tiktok.com/@aiforhumansshow Speaking and booking https://www.aiforhumans.show/

What Is The Best Way To Accomplish Your Dreams? | Meditate With Robert AcevesWhat if accomplishing your dreams wasn't just about motivation, but about having the right mental strategy? One of the best techniques I've learned for achieving goals is called WOOP, a science-backed goal-setting strategy developed by psychologists Gabriele Oettingen and Peter Gollwitzer.WOOP stands for Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, and Plan.First, you identify your Wish and clearly define what you want to accomplish. Then, you visualize the Outcome and imagine what your life will look and feel like once you achieve your goal. But here's where WOOP becomes especially powerful: instead of only thinking positively, you identify the Obstacles that could get in your way. These might be old habits, limiting thoughts, distractions, your environment, procrastination, or other challenges. Finally, you create a Plan for overcoming those obstacles before they happen.By combining goal setting, visualization, obstacle planning, and intentional action, the WOOP method can help you turn your dreams into realistic, achievable goals.Try this simple psychology-based technique with one of your goals and let me know in the comments how it goes. And if you know someone who could benefit from WOOP, share this video with them!#WOOP #GoalSetting #AchieveYourGoals #PersonalDevelopment #SelfImprovement #SuccessMindset #Motivation #Psychology #MentalTraining #GoalAchievement #DreamBig #RobertAcevesMusic by epidemicsound.com : Wonder - Henry Miles

My new book, Own Or Be Owned, is all about building a business so good it doesn't need you. More profit, less pain. It's out September 18, grab your ticket to the launch event here: https://contrarianthinking.biz/oobo_bigdeal - cs You've been visualizing success. Watching the vision board. Repeating the affirmations. Trusting the universe to deliver. Here's the truth: the more vividly you fantasize about success, the worse you perform. And the science proves it. The Secret sold 30 million copies by promising that if you visualize wealth hard enough, the universe will deliver it. But two decades of research shows the opposite. NYU psychologists tracked college graduates and found that students who spent the most time in positive fantasies about their dream jobs sent out fewer applications, got fewer offers, and earned lower salaries two years later. Your brain books the fantasy as a partial payment on the real thing, giving you the reward before you've done the work. Manifestation isn't fuel. It's anesthesia. This episode breaks down the exact frameworks elite builders use instead, why Buddhist monks sit with decaying bodies to rehearse death, and the three anti-manifestation moves that turn goals into reality. From the Stoic practice of premeditation of evils to the WHOOP method that doubles your odds of success, you'll learn why imagining failure makes you stronger and how to engineer systems that make your obituary impossible. In this episode, you'll learn: Why NYU research proves that positive fantasies kill performance and how students who visualized success earned 24 pounds less in weight loss studies and lower salaries than peers who confronted reality The five step anti-manifestation practice: write your business obituary, name what caused the death, run the survival check, extract the system, and put it on the calendar quarterly The Stockdale Paradox: why optimists died in Vietnam POW camps and how brutal faith in the destination plus brutal honesty about the path is what separates winners from wishful thinkers Why announcing goals out loud makes you quit 33% faster and how premature applause becomes a paycheck your brain cashes before the work exists The WHOOP framework: Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan, and how this method doubles your odds of hitting goals by naming the exact moment resistance shows up and engineering the if-then response in advance And one more thing for the business owners: stop making million dollar decisions alone! In this episode, I sit down with Jon Sheldon, founder of BelleauWood Coaching, to explore the leadership pressure test through lessons he learned as a Marine squad leader and Fortune 500 sales executive.Jon explains why clear decisions begin with knowing yourself. His professional blueprint centers on purpose, vision, the environment where you thrive, and what motivates you. Then he pressure-tests those answers against real behavior. Courage is more than a value on paper. A leader has to show where courage held and where it gave way.We also talk about radical honesty, the cost of making firm calls, and the discipline of keeping the mission in view when emotion runs high. Jon shares a simple framework for those moments: define the mission, name the obstacle, and choose the first action. The episode explored key life transitions, organizational impact in the veteran community, and the importance of fostering meaningful connections.Key Themes and Discussions⬛ Family and FatherhoodA key theme that emerged was the importance of family, particularly the joys and challenges of fatherhood. Experiences as a parent to two young boys were described as deeply fulfilling, emphasizing the value of being present for family and children's formative years. The discussion explored how personal upbringing and a father's military experience influenced approaches to parenting and personal growth 25:52–29:41.⬛ Veteran Wellness and Social ConnectionThe discussion explored the results of a recent study conducted with Vet Tix, highlighting how event tickets for veterans (such as concerts or sports) are less about the event itself and more about fostering connections and a sense of belonging. Several points were raised, including the significant improvements measured: a 70% increase in wellness and 86% improvement in family bonds, demonstrating that social connection is a crucial driver of veteran wellness 02:52–04:21.⬛ Purpose-Driven Impact and the Role of IMPCT GroupOne concept discussed was the idea of “purpose-driven profitability” and how businesses can achieve both financial and social returns by embedding purpose into their core operations. The episode delved into how Impact Group works with organizations to create strategies that generate economic opportunities for the military community, aiming to unlock $1 billion in economic opportunity by 2035 06:52–08:34.⬛ MCON: Creating Community and Celebrating Military ServiceThe conversation detailed the creation and growth of MCON, a large-scale event designed to celebrate military culture, facilitate healing, and combat isolation. The motivation for MCON stemmed from a perceived lack of large-scale, celebratory events within the military community similar to those in other industries. The festival's goal is to both celebrate positive aspects of military service and provide resources and support for those in need 16:11–20:16.⬛ Leadership and Personal Development InfluencesThe discussion explored the influence of books such as The Obstacle Is the Way and the Daily Dad newsletter by Ryan Holiday. These works informed perspectives on overcoming adversity, showing up for family, and the ongoing question of personal development: “Who are you becoming?” 25:24–33:13.⬛ Community, Collaboration, and LegacySeveral points were raised regarding the need for greater collaboration and efficiency among organizations serving the veteran community, especially as funding becomes scarcer. The conversation closed with reflections on legacy, leadership advice (“take an interest in others”), and the ongoing goal to connect with other mission-driven leaders 36:33.Overall, the episode offered both practical insights and reflections on leadership, family, the veteran experience, and the power of collective action to foster thriving, resilient communities.Support the showConnect with Passing The Torch: Facebook and IG: @torchmartinMore Amazing Stories:Episode 41: Lee Ellis – Freeing You From Bond That Make You InsecureEpisode 81: Kurt Warner – Perseverance, Humility, and Lighting the Way Episode 90: Michelle 'MACE' Curran – How to Turn Fear into Fuel------------© 2026 TORCH LEAP®, LLC. Have you ever found yourself putting off the very marketing task that could help your farm grow? Writing the email. Launching the promotion. Recording the video. Raising your prices. Building the sales page. You know it needs to get done... but every time you think about it, you feel that heavy sense of dread. In this episode, I share a personal discovery that is challenging the the way I think about procrastination, marketing, and business growth. After catching myself avoiding two important projects this month, I realized something surprising: I wasn't avoiding the work. I was avoiding the story I was telling myself about the work. In this episode, we'll explore why your brain creates dread in the first place, why we often mistake uncertainty for difficulty, and why many farmers wrongly conclude they're "bad at marketing" when they're really just avoiding uncomfortable marketing tasks. Most importantly, I'll show you how to reinterpret dread -- not as a stop sign, but as a possible indicator that you're standing at the edge of growth. If you've been procrastinating on marketing, struggling to take action, or feeling stuck in your farm business, this episode will give you a completely new way to think about what's really holding you back. You're inspired and excited about it. Yet you find that you keep putting off taking the actions that will start moving you toward that big thing. You have lots of good reasons for that. Now's not a good time. Maybe when things calm down a little, we can focus on that, but right now we have too many urgent things to deal with. Or maybe it's, I'm not ready yet. First I need to learn more or plan more, research more, etc. If that's what's going on, you are not alone. This is a super common problem, and I want to let you in on what's actually going on when that's happening.  Those all sound like real rational things that are true, right? Things are crazy right now. We have too much going on. We can't possibly be doing the stretch thing right now. I'll do that later. I'll do that soon.  Here's the thing. What's really going on is that is your subconscious tricking you into staying right where you are. Your subconscious will always tell you that now is not the right time, that you're not ready yet, and so on, and so on. That's why we so often put off going after that big, scary goal, the big bodacious vision or dream. Because it feels really scary to the subconscious. It does not like change. It regards anything new as a threat, and it will do whatever it takes to stop you from walking into that threat. But we don't have to let that happen.  We can absolutely hack our subconscious to align with our ambitions, and to do amazing things for us.  In this episode, we share:The two types of resistance your subconscious will put up to stop you from pursuing your big thingHow to calm your subconscious and get it to drop its resistanceHow to recognize tricks of the subconscious that masquerade as rational thoughtThe simplest way to harness your subconscious and get it working with you to achieve your big goalHow to start stepping into the identities that align with your big ambitious goal or vision How to deal with other people's (board and team) subconscious efforts to derail your ambitions If you found value in this episode, please share it with other progressive nonprofit leaders.  And I'd be grateful if you would leave a rating and review on Apple podcasts, which will help even more people find out about this podcast. Thanks!

See what the team at The Successful Bookkeeper has on right now → Amanda McKinney is back, and this conversation picks up right where the field is most uncomfortable: the place where your own capability quietly becomes the ceiling on your growth. If you've ever thought "it's faster if I just do it myself," this episode was made for you. Amanda brings her accountability coaching lens to the real-world pressures bookkeepers face — the revolving door of client work, the resistance to delegation, and the habits that quietly drain capacity before burnout ever arrives. Chapters [00:00] The 3-Times System Rule [01:18] Welcome and Guest Introduction [03:30] Amanda's Journey Since 2023 [08:30] Working With Teams Long-Term [13:00] When Capability Becomes an Obstacle [17:00] Warning Signs of Unsustainable Pace [21:00] The Case for Hobbies [25:00] Building Systems to Delegate [29:00] SOPs in Practice: Quarterly Taxes [32:30] Amanda's Podcast Pause The Highly Capable Trap Being good at your work is a genuine asset — right up until it isn't. Amanda explains that capability creates capacity, and capacity gets filled. "The problem with being capable is that it opens up more capacity. And when you have more capacity, you get more work. Either it's given to you or you give it to yourself." For bookkeepers, where the work never truly stops, this cycle can accelerate fast. Recognizing the pattern is the first step out of it. Warning Signs Worth Watching Amanda walks through the early signals that something needs to change — before burnout forces the issue. Physical heaviness when someone asks how you're doing, or the moment you realize your only answer to "what do you do for fun?" is your work. She shared that in 2024, that was her own reality. "I realized, oh my gosh, I have no hobbies. I don't have anything that I do just for fun." Intentionally adding even 15 minutes of something non-work-related a week can start shifting that. The 3-Times Rule for Systems This is the practical core of the episode. Amanda's rule of thumb: if you do something more than 3 times, it needs a system. She uses invoicing as a quick gut-check — if you can't describe your process fast, you're spending unnecessary brainpower every single time. The fix is straightforward: the next time you do that task, record yourself walking through it using a screen recorder like Loom or Neato (free). That recording becomes your SOP, and that SOP becomes your delegation tool. She applied this to her own quarterly tax payments: "I did it in like 15 minutes. Whereas that would have taken me an hour or two if I didn't have those steps written out." Delegation Without the Dread Most bookkeepers resist handing work off because training someone else feels slower than doing it themselves. Amanda reframes this: a documented system removes most of that training burden. The SOP does the heavy lifting, and the person you're delegating to — whether human or software — gets a clear path to follow your standards. As Michael put it during the conversation, "SOPs are the pathway to profitability." Sustainable Growth Requires a Pause Amanda recently did something that surprised her own audience: she intentionally paused her podcast after eight straight years of weekly content. The flood of concerned emails she received made her realize how rarely people pause before something forces them to. The message for bookkeepers is the same — growth that lasts has to be built on something sustainable. Waiting for a crisis to rest isn't a strategy. "You don't have to be burnt out before you make a decision to change something." 29th June 2026 In this Satsang, Sanjay discussed the path of self-realization and ego dissolution. The discussion centered on how reality cannot be known while the ego remains intact, emphasizing that seekers must focus on destroying the ego rather than seeking experiences or powers. Sanjay explained techniques for observing the mind inwardly, including watching thoughts as an observer rather than an involved participant, and practicing self-inquiry by asking "who am I?" He described the process of transitioning from being involved in thoughts to becoming a witness, noting that this requires consistent effort and practice. The session covered how to recognize when ego dissolution is occurring through feelings of contentment and peace, and emphasized that while techniques help, the ultimate transformation comes from sincere effort and remaining uninvolved with the world of form and name. These are teachings and pointers from ongoing NDA(Non-duality awareness)/Advaitic Satsangs held at Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi Centre in Melbourne, Australia. In this episode, Alex Pardo sits down with his longtime co-host and student Dan Wenzel for a season two wind-down conversation centered on the one thing no underwriting spreadsheet can measure: mindset. After 37 episodes of documenting Dan's journey into self storage investing, Alex and Dan pull back the curtain on the real growth that's happened, from near-paralysis on cold calls to confident conversations with storage owners across the country. This episode is a raw and honest look at how confidence is built through repetition, collaboration, and showing up even when you don't feel ready. If you've ever let fear, self-doubt, or the need for a perfect outcome keep you from taking action in your storage investing journey, this one is for you. You'll Learn How To: Build real confidence through consistent reps rather than waiting for a result to validate you Stop letting fear of rejection keep you from picking up the phone and calling storage owners Understand why collaboration with other investors accelerates growth faster than solo study Develop a "be, do, have" identity framework before the results show up Reframe a fumbled call or missed deal as a rep, not a failure Leverage broker relationships over time to sharpen your underwriting instincts Recognize the internal signals (nervousness, butterflies) that tell you to lean in, not back off What You'll Learn in This Episode [0:56] Alex opens the episode with the real obstacle holding most investors back from their first storage facility [1:20] Why mindset, confidence, and identity are the through-line of the entire season two journey [2:34] Alex breaks down the "be, do, have" framework and why most people have it backwards [3:26] Dan reflects on his biggest growth from episode one to episode 37 [4:32] How underwriting reps with other Storage Winners built Dan's confidence from the inside out [5:36] Was there a single light-bulb moment or was confidence an evolution? Dan answers directly [6:08] How an open broker relationship gave Dan a live benchmark to validate his own offers [7:24] Alex shares his ten-year podcasting anniversary and what a decade of reps actually produces [9:14] Why collaboration and a mastermind mentality separate investors who grow from those who stagnate [10:03] What no book or YouTube video can teach you: reading the human being behind the storage facility [13:48] What Dan can confidently do today that would have paralyzed him a year ago [16:34] Alex's personal story about a big opportunity that gave him butterflies, and what his wife said that snapped him back [18:17] Why not closing a deal by the end of the season doesn't define success or identity [20:11] Alex's closing challenge and how to connect with him for your first storage discovery call Who This Episode Is For: Investors who keep learning but haven't made their first offer yet People who freeze up at the idea of cold-calling storage owners Anyone tying their self-worth to whether a deal closes New and mid-stage storage investors who feel like they're "just going through the motions" Entrepreneurs who understand the technical side but struggle with the mental side Anyone who has consumed a lot of content and needs a push to take action instead Why You Should Listen: Season two of Storage Wins was supposed to be about buying a storage facility. And while that goal is still within reach, this episode makes the case that the most important thing Dan built over 37 episodes wasn't a portfolio. It was a version of himself capable of building one. Alex and Dan don't sugarcoat it. Confidence isn't something you feel before you start. It's something you earn through repetitions, through calls that go awkward, through underwriting deals alongside people who are a few steps ahead of you, and through showing up to record a podcast even on the weeks when the journey felt heavy. The "be, do, have" framework Alex references early in the episode is the spine of this conversation: you have to become the person first. The results follow. What makes this episode worth your time, whether you're brand new or already a few facilities in, is the reminder that growth is non-linear and often invisible until you look back. Dan couldn't have articulated his own evolution in episode one. But 37 episodes later, he can talk to any storage owner like the back of his hand. That's not luck. That's what happens when you put the reps in and refuse to quit. Follow Alex Pardo here: Website: https://storagewins.com Schedule a call: https://storagewins.com/call Facebook Group: Storage Wins Community Instagram: @alexpardo25 YouTube: Storage Wins Podcast If this episode stirred something in you, the best next step is simple: pick up the phone. There are 50,000 to 60,000 storage facilities in this country, with 64% owned by mom and pops. The blue ocean is real. Know Yourself: The Humility Practice That Quiets Rumination and Builds Emotional Resilience [269]

Joy Lab Podcast

Humility is a powerful (and mostly misunderstood) mental health skill that's grounded by self-knowledge and self-compassion. Humility is also a powerful antidote to rumination and harsh self-criticism and a tool to support mood and emotional resilience. We'll build up humility through this series by taking a positive psychology approach along with Dr. Daryl Van Tongeren's framework to build humility (know yourself, check yourself, go beyond yourself.) This episode is all about Step 1 (know yourself) and it turns out it's both the most uncomfortable and the most freeing place to start. About: The Joy Lab Podcast is an Ambie-nominated podcast that blends science and soul to help you cope better with stress, anxiety, and depression. It's hosted by integrative psychiatrist Dr. Henry Emmons and holistic mental health researcher Dr. Aimee Prasek. The podcast is best paired with the Joy Lab Program. Wendell Berry's book Standing by Words   Key moments: [00:00] Why self-knowledge comes first in the humility framework — and why skipping it makes the rest of the work harder. [02:00] The humility paradox: who scores highest on self-reported humility? People with narcissistic traits. What this reveals about why self-knowledge matters. [04:30] Reflection vs. rumination: same self-focused action, completely different energy — and very different effects on anxiety and depression. [07:30] Clark Griswold on the roundabout: Aimee's perfect visual for rumination, plus Van Tongeren's concept of "right-sizing yourself." [09:30] Obstacle #1: The idealized self. When the gap between who you are and who you think you should be stops motivating and starts deflating. [12:00] Obstacle #2: The better-than-average effect. Most of us rank ourselves above average — and that's statistically impossible. How this positivity bias quietly inflates us. [14:30] Obstacle #3: The harsh inner critic disguised as self-awareness. Why beating yourself up isn't humility — it's ego turned inward. [17:00] Dr. Kristin Neff's insight: self-compassion is the foundation of honest self-awareness. You can look clearly when you're not afraid of what you'll find. [19:30] Rumination as an internal courtroom — and Aimee's personal story about chronic lateness, hard feedback from a friend, and what it took to actually receive it. [23:30] Henry's simple journaling practice: notice what you observed about yourself this week. No analysis, no judgment — just patterns, held gently. [25:30] Preview of next week's "Check Yourself" episode, and a closing note from Aristotle.   Full transcript here   Please remember that this content is for informational and educational purposes only. Brett Connors joins the podcast to recap an entertaining first round at Roland Garros, where Americans Taylor Fritz and Jessica Pegula were knocked out. Connors reacts to another early exit for Daniil Medvedev, Learner Tien's impressive game on clay, and Casper Ruud finding a way to survive and advance. The producer and podcast host looks at Novak Djokovic's path to a deep run, Alexander Zverev's opportunity to finally change the narrative, and who can challenge Jannik Sinner's quest for the career-slam. Connors also dives into the women's draw, where we are on the verge of Iga Swiatek facing Jelena Ostapenko, who she has never beaten. The co-host of "Advantage Connors" discusses Mirra Andreeva and Iva Jovic's potential, the unfortunate injury to Alexander BlockX that involved the Roland Garros tarp, and some R2 matches he has his eyes on. This week on the KORE Women podcast, Dr. Summer Watson is joined by Sharon Schanzer, who is the founder of RLDGROUP, her long-running design studio, and What's Your Boulder. She is a strategic execution advisor, who helps leaders finally move the things that have been sitting in the background for far too long. Sharon challenges the common belief that we don't move forward, because we lack time, but instead shows how friction, overthinking, unclear communication, and unnecessary complexity are often the real barriers. In this conversation, we talk about how to identify the one thing that's actually holding you back, how to simplify execution, and how leaders unintentionally become bottlenecks in their own organizations. If you have something that's been sitting on your list for months or even years, this episode will give you a new way to approach it and finally move it forward. Every time your mind wanders during meditation is a great opportunity. The wandering mind can be exactly where the real yoga begins. In this episode Raghunath welcomes back Kaustubha, fresh off a pilgrimage to Vrindavan, India — unpacking his bags and his insights in equal measure, starting with a nugget from William James, the father of American psychology. James called it the very root of character, will, and judgment: the ability to bring back wandering attention, over and over again. The Bhagavad Gita agrees — and so does a striking passage from the Srimad Bhagavatam, an ancient Sanskrit text on consciousness and devotion, describing how love deepens through hearing, contemplation, and the steady return of attention to the highest spiritual content. Wisdom of the Sages exists for exactly that — to keep the mind returning, day after day, to what matters most. ******************************************************************** LOVE THE PODCAST?
