This vinyl mix Danny pays tribute to the late singer songwriter Christine McVie with music by Stevie Nicks, Cocteau Twins, Modern English, and more. Christine Anne McVie (/məkˈviː/;[1] née Perfect; 12 July 1943 – 30 November 2022) was an English musician and songwriter. She was principally known as a vocalist and keyboardist with the band Fleetwood Mac.A member of several bands on the mid-1960s British Blues scene, notably Chicken Shack, she began playing with Fleetwood Mac in 1968, initially as a contract session player, before formally joining the band in 1970. She started to emerge as a songwriter by 1971, with her first compositions appearing on her fourth album with the group, Future Games. She would remain with the band through many lineup changes for the next several decades, generally writing and performing lead vocals on about half of the tracks on all of their subsequent studio albums (though she had partially retired in 1998, and only appeared as a session musician on the band's last studio album, Say You Will. She also released three solo studio albums. Steve Leggett of AllMusic described her as an "unabashedly easy-on-the-ears singer/songwriter, and the prime mover behind some of Fleetwood Mac's biggest hits". Eight songs written or co-written by her, including "Don't Stop", "Everywhere", and "Little Lies", appeared on Fleetwood Mac's 1988 Greatest Hits album.As a member of Fleetwood Mac, McVie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music in 1998. The same year, after almost 30 years with the band, she opted to leave and lived in semi-retirement for nearly 15 years. She released a solo album in 2004. She appeared on stage with Fleetwood Mac at the O2 Arena in London in September 2013, before rejoining the band in 2014 prior to their On with the Show tour.McVie received a Gold Badge of Merit Award from BASCA, now The Ivors Academy, in 2006.[9] She received the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors in 2014 and was honoured with the Trailblazer Award at the UK Americana Awards in 2021. She was also the recipient of two Grammy Awards.

Family, loved ones and fans are mourning the unexpected death of comedian & actor Bob Saget. He is best known as the star of the ABC sitcom “Full House” and “America's Funniest Home Videos” - but Saget was also a fan of pro wrestling, and got involved in the business on a number of occasions. He played the role of commissioner of CHIKARA from 2006-2008. He also featured Roddy Piper, Dragon Gate USA, and more in a 2010 episode of his short-lived series “Strange Days”. Bob Saget was 65. Also over the weekend, we lost Deanna Booher (bore). She was best known as Matilda The Hun and Queen Kong in GLOW. Deanna Booher was 73. (STINGER: WWE) Sasha Banks says she is OUT of the Royal Rumble.. WWE announced over the weekend that she will be out of action for 6-to-8 weeks with a foot injury. It happened during a match at a non-televised show in Fayetteville, North Carolina last weekend. A title match is being promoted for tonight's RAW. Team RK-Bro is set to defend the RAW Tag Team Championship against the Alpha Academy. Also announced for tonight's RAW - Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. Doudrop. The winner challenges Becky Lynch for the RAW Women's Title at the Royal Rumble. (STINGER: Impact) Mickie James will enter the Royal Rumble later this month as Impact Wrestling's Knockouts Champion. She retained the title by beating Deonna Purrazzo in the Texas Death Match main event of Saturday night's Hard To Kill pay-per-view. Ring Of Honor Women's Champion Rok-C had a ringside seat for the match. She's set for a winner takes all title match against Purrazzo, who still holds AAA's women's title. Tasha Steelz will get the next shot at the Knockouts Title. She won the first-ever women's Ultimate X Match at Hard To Kill. Some other names from ROH showed up at Hard To Kill. Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Maria Kanellis…alongside PCO and Vincent. They orchestrated a surprise attack on Heath, Rhino, Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, and Willie Mack…after those five had just won a Hardcore War over the Impact Tag Champs the Good Brothers & Violent By Design. Rhino pinned Karl Anderson. Also on the show, Jonathan Gresham successfully defended the ROH World Championship against Chris Sabin. Moose held on to the Impact World Championship Saturday night. He pinned Matt Cardona to win a 3-way that also included W. Morrissey. Trey Miguel handed Steve Maclin his first loss in Impact. Miguel beat him to retain the X-Division Championship. Jeremy sits down with writer/director Nick Naveda to discuss his feature film debut SAY YOU WILL. The film tells the tale of a young conservatory-bound musician who tries to keep his life and his mother from falling apart after his father’s suicide. He finds solace in his troubled childhood crush in Nick Naveda’s semi-autobiographical indie drama.

Bill and Brian continue the Massive Month of Massive Albums That We Also Call Massivember by talking about Fleetwood Mac's Rumours (1977, Warner Bros.) The band's second album with its most well known lineup (and 11th overall!), found them flourishing under the leadership of guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and the mystical voice of Stevie Nicks. The band reached new heights, selling 40 million copies of this album worldwide, drawing inspiration from their recent breakups, within and without the band, and internal struggles. Bill and Brian do their best to explain the long and winding road that is the story of Fleetwood Mac and how it ended in the sound and production of this album. Along the way we share some of our own break up stories and how they led to better lives, what it would sound like if Bono and the Edge joined the Rolling Stones, Lindsey Buckingham's chops, what the band lacks on their 2003 album Say You Will, "easy listening," the Goo Goo Dolls, and as always a track by track review!
