What would happen if I gave God one year? Money tells the story of our hearts. Money Talks Matthew 6:21 // For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. If you'd like to change where your heart is, change where your money goes. Matthew 6:24 // “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” How can you know if your love for money competes with your love for God? You think your money belongs to you. Psalm 24:1 // The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Giving is what you do with your leftovers. Stingy Stealing You think this sermon is stupid. Deuteronomy 14:23 TLB // The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives. Me first living with a little giving Luke 12:16-21 // And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' 18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I'll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”' 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' 21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” Consumption Assumption: The assumption that everything that comes my way is for my consumption. 5 Things You Can Do With Money: 1. Saya membahas buku Time and How to Spend It karya James Wallman.

In this episode of Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade explains the concept of being happy and feeling fulfilled by having different experiences. We all understand that happiness is not a permanent feeling; it's not something that we feel at all times, day after day. Happiness is achieved during certain moments of life, depending on the context. What other feeling is actually permanent? Fulfillment is a very important emotion that we can carry with us throughout our whole lives. And in order to feel fulfilled, it's important to consider what we do with our time. Since our time is filled with life experiences, we should consider elevating these experiences. By explaining the acronym E.X.P.L.O.R.E., Dr. Jade shares how these life experiences can be created to foster feelings of fulfillment. Tune in! Did you know that, globally, the average amount of time people spend on social media is 147 minutes a day? If you live to be a hundred years old, that's almost seven years of your life.Time is the most precious resource we have–beyond being completely limited, it's not something that we can simply refund. The problem is that we often aren't consciously spending it on things that give us enough value. Is seven years out of a hundred something that you're comfortable spending on social media? Worauf bin ich stolz? Was wünsche ich mir für die Zukunft?Wo will ich hin? Wie möchte ich mich fühlen?Und zum Vollmond geht es dann um Aspekte wie diese:Was ist in den letzten zwei Wochen Schönes passiert? We are all dreaming of the next place we want to travel, and for many, Italy is at the top of their list. But is it time to reconsider our relationship with the world's most beloved destination? On this episode of Travel That Matters, travel journalist and Italy expert Maria Shollenbarger shares her secrets on how to experience the very best of the country in a more meaningful, sustainable, and insiderly way. Maria was an editor at large at Condé Nast Traveler and a senior editor at Travel & Leisure before taking on her current role as the travel editor for the Financial Times' How to Spend It. She has lived in several cities throughout Asia, Europe, and the U.S., and she's currently based in London and Rome. She speaks with Bruce about what it was like to be in Italy at a time when other Americans weren't able to visit, and how travelers can achieve that sense of insider access in the future. For one, Maria recommends finding the right travel designer, someone like Emily Fitzroy of Bellini Travel. But even with an expert's support, you need to do your research. Don't just walk into any pizza spot in Venice; take the time to find that hidden spot that's serving authentic Venetian cuisine. Her favorite way to enjoy Venetian fare isn't at a restaurant at all, but rather aboard a yacht called the Edipo Re, which takes guests and top local chefs far beyond the city to explore the lagoon and Adriatic and sample local delicacies along the way. Maria also offers up fabulous tips on Sicilian wine country, the Umbrian countryside, the island of Ischia, and more. But even with all the great insights on Italy, Travel That Matters wants more! Bruce encourages you to write to him on Twitter @TravelwithBruce or email him at Bruce@curtco.com and share some of your favorite destinations and secret spots throughout Europe. We know our listeners are experts, and we want to hear from you! "No Hands", " Money to Blow" to "Spend It". Those are a few of the records that multi-platinum producer Drumma Boy Fresh produced over his illustrious career. The Memphis native got his start producing 'Double Dose" for Southern rap legend Tela. From there he would go on to work with the likes of Gangsta Boo, Scarface and more. Today, Drumma runs his own label, Drum Squad Records, a sneaker boutique, House of Fresh and continues to produce hits. Drumma came by the show to share a blunt and some stories about how some of my favorite records of his came to be (the story about "No Hands" is epic), Memphis, his own legacy and more.
Hello my friends today, my guest is James Wallman. James is the author of Stuffocation: Why we’ve had enough of stuff and need experience more than ever, which he published in 2013 and in this conversation we explore ideas in his new book, Time and How to Spend it: The Seven Rules for Richer, Happier … Continue reading "James Wallman: Time and How to Spend It"
In Matthew 6 Jesus lays out three things that you can do with the life you've been given: you can Waste It, you can Spend It, or you can Invest It.
If the most precious thing we have is time, the most highly prized expertise should be knowing how to spend it well. Yet, busier than ever, do we really understand which experiences bring us joy and success, and which don’t? After all, we’ve learned how to spot the difference between junk foods and superfoods. When you discover the equivalent rules for time, it’ll change how you live your life. My guest on the show today is James Wallman, author of one of my favourite books, Stuffocation. And now in fact author of two of my favourite books, because James is back with his new book, Time and How to Spend It. In the book, James investigates the persistent problem of wasted, unfulfilling time, and finds a powerful answer ― a revolutionary approach to life based on the latest scientific discoveries. At the heart of Time and How to Spend It is the inspiring revelation that, when you play by the new rules, you can actively choose better experiences. This is one of my favourite podcast interviews to date, and that's saying something with more than 220 guest interviewed recorded for Informed Choice Radio. Listen out for James explaining why it's not a lack of free time that's the issue, but choosing to spend that free time on our mobile phones; and why charging your phone outside of the bedroom leads to better sleep and more sex. We talk about experience intelligence, biophilia, and how doing things for other people leads to more happiness, and success. Here's my conversation with James Wallman, author of Time and How to Spend It, in episode 429 of Informed Choice Radio.
We're all gay this episode! Nate plugs his new book and we discuss Pete Davidson's weekend update joke. We wonder where we would rob, and then start a pizza company. We talk about All That coming back, Kenan Thompson, and Nate's sexual frustration. Nicky has a new segment, then we get into some sneeze science. We talk the Fast and the Furious and the Rock, and Bam Margera. Nate wrote the story of Jesus with an alien, and we talk confirmed miracles, then we take a break. Joints of the week are "Pussy on Repeat" by Spillage Village, "Bahamas" by ASAP Mob and "Spend It" by Dae Dae. We talk Nick Young's affinity for coke, Todd Bridges, and phobias. Then we get into another edition of Nate's sexcapades. We talk 4 somes, and ponder the age old question; why hypocrite gay? Then we talk dead celebs, Jake has a joke, porno titles, our porn names, watersports, the heat of the urine. And the show ends with us talking the Kardashians, sirens, and succubi.
