Imagine a grand theater on the cusp of a captivating performance, each individual, from actors to orchestra to stagehands, contributing to a seamless spectacle that leaves the audience enchanted. This beautiful balance is strikingly akin to a successful business, where different departments - marketing, sales, product development, and customer success - perform harmoniously on the market stage to mesmerize their audience, the clientele. When marketing campaigns align perfectly with sales strategies, it creates a symphony that attracts and retains clients, thereby fostering customer satisfaction. This ensemble performance of a business is where our guest, Udi Ledergor, the Chief Evangelist at Gong, comes into play. Drawing from his expansive experience in harmonizing marketing initiatives with sales objectives, Udi provides valuable insights into nurturing cross-functional collaboration, akin to a director coordinating a multifaceted stage performance. In today's episode, we delve into Udi's expertise on aligning marketing and sales teams, building a cohesive company narrative, expanding product offerings, and crafting magical marketing moments that captivate customers.High-Level OverviewThe Evolution of the Marketing Team at Gong: In the early stages of Gong, marketing and sales teams were under the same leadership, allowing for seamless collaboration. As the company grew, the marketing team evolved into a more specialized function, still maintaining strong cross-functional ties with sales.Designing Sales and Marketing Alignment: Gong fosters a culture of mutual respect between sales and marketing by facilitating open conversations, aligning on shared metrics, and ensuring collaboration on larger objectives. By adopting this strategy, Gong has been able to drive its growth by better addressing market demands. How to Know if Growth Problems are Internal or External: Evaluating growth problems requires identifying if the limitation is the market size or an internal process. If a company is hitting its sales and marketing goals but still not growing, it's likely that the market size is the constraint.Challenging Best Practices: Gong believes in not simply accepting the status quo. They regularly challenge best practices by initiating unconventional and sometimes controversial strategies to provoke thought and incite conversations, leading to improved problem-solving and innovation. How Good Marketing Creates Magic: Drawing from his love of performing arts, Udi Ledergor emphasizes that successful marketing should create moments of magic and entertainment for its audience. In a world where people are inundated with content, creating an engaging and memorable experience can set a company apart.Benchmarking Growth Internally vs ExternallyBenchmarking growth in the business landscape involves a meticulous examination of both internal operations and external market factors. Distinguishing whether a growth problem is internal or external can be a challenging endeavor, but it is crucial for devising appropriate solutions. The following points provide a comprehensive breakdown of the process and strategies used at Gong, illustrating an effective approach to this challenge.Understanding Lead Quality: Gong's evaluation begins with an assessment of lead quality. By comparing new leads with historical conversion rates and data from over six years of sales, they can detect any significant shift in the type or quality of leads they're attracting.Analyzing the Sales Process: With leads in hand, attention is then directed to the sales process itself. Gong uses its own tool to ensure sales teams are using the most updated sales messages and decks, identifying and rectifying any deviations promptly.Win-Loss Analysis: Following this, Gong delves into reasons for lost deals. By categorizing and analyzing why business was lost, the team is able to discern whether issues like pricing, discounts, or competition played a role in the outcome.Adjusting Strategy Based on Findings: Armed with this insight, Gong then formulates responses to the common customer concerns identified. This includes strategies like flexible payment terms and offering free product trials, indicating a tailored approach to mitigating loss reasons. To summarize, benchmarking growth is a comprehensive process that delves into understanding lead quality, analyzing the sales process, and conducting a rigorous win-loss analysis. By dissecting these components, businesses can equip themselves with a deeper understanding of their growth issues, enabling them to develop targeted solutions and drive successful outcomes.Further LearningsFollow Udi on LinkedIn.

Today Laura and Kevin speak with Udi Ledergor of Gong about AI for Sales, the value of sales managers, marketing tactics and living in Israel, plus we get a whiskey recommendation!Udi Ledergor is a five-time Marketing leader at B2B start-ups and currently the Chief Evangelist at Gong. As Chief Evangelist, Udi oversees Gong's market leadership through new product launches and thought leadership. On his journey from Marketer #1 to Gong's Chief Marketing Officer, he led the creation of the revenue intelligence category, pioneered an iconic, human-centric brand, and led Gong's Marketing efforts from zero to hundreds of millions in revenue.Passionate about startups and brands during the day, whisky, music, and social activism at night, Udi is also an author, speaker, mentor, angel investor, board director, and advisor based in San Francisco.
A good start to the day for equities with the Nasdaq up on the back of NVIDIA earnings; this seems to be a direct result of AI income. Their market cap appears to have reached 1 trillion!? As a result of Nvidia, tech stocks are up roughly 2%. Notable mention that the CTO of NVIDIA was also quoted earlier this year saying crypto doesn't offer anything useful.Crypto bounced slightly in line with tech stocks but not really a noteworthy move price wise.We saw a move lower with Miladys, due to the BLEND downward pressure. Mutant apes are also suffering from the downward spiral effect of BLEND. It feels like the narrative is shifting around BLEND as projects experience an initial pump but then plummet, which to be fair is not the fault of the platform itself.0n1 Force aloha finally dropped, and they are said to have a new CTO which looks like the start to a strong team being built for the anime based collection.Hape Prime, from Jan 2022, made by Digimental Studio, was purchased by Vertex Labs for $12 million. Mando thinks this is a high price, and compares it to the recent valuation for Pudgy Penguins.10 new squiggles sold and there was some trading around the sales. There was also a blind auction that closed yesterday in the 19 ETH range featuring squiggles that are minted by @ArtOnBlockchain. There are now only 226 more Squiggles left unminted now.@DavidFBailey CEO of @bitcoinmagazine joined our stage along with the grand wizard @udiWertheimer.David joined the stream poolside but was rugged due to beautiful weather on the island. In 2018 the Bitcoin conference was built along with the resurrection of Bitcoin magazine, which was purchased from Vitalik Buterin! 2012 is when David found out about bitcoin and he originally thought it was a scam, and even tried to prove to his friend that it was. Obviously he failed, and this was the onset of his Maxi tendencies. He went all-in on BTC in 2013 and it's been history ever since. He also spoke about color coins, which were a paper written by Vitalik, and ordinals being a revamp of this original idea leading to a resurgence of this ancient tech.David describes layer 2 solutions that will be built in the future via the fees on bitcoin being created today, laying down and creating new infrastructure will usher BTC to be the accessible amazing tech that it has potential to be!BTC OG's and maxis are coming out of the woodwork to create on top of the ordinals protocol. David imagines 10's of millions of dollars being poured in and 100's of thousands of developers surfacing to push the bar.The platforms that drive the most fees to miners and carry the most influence will push the bar exponentially. There are many competing visions for what comes next in BTC, but anything that has been built on ETH has the potential to be built on bitcoin and tried for success.UDI points out that the reason many things were built on Ethereum were not a result of technical inability, but rather a cultural barrier that had never been overcome.@huuep spoke on how fees are low now but in the future when fees are high things will have to be done differently. For instance, inscribing art is affordable now so take advantage as it may be out of reach in years to come.GM Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Non lasciate i vostri Bitcoin sugli exchange!!!It's showtime!
Taproot was the trojan horse that opened the door to a new wave of Bitcoin innovation and culture. At the forefront of this culture are Udi, Eric, and Nic, the taproot wizards causing a shift in the world of Bitcoin. ------

In this episode, we brought on two guests: Kevin Capatch, the Director of Process Engineering for Geisinger, which is a regional health provider out of Pennsylvania that services roughly 3 million people across 45 different counties in Pennsylvania, and Vicky Lyle, she's the Vice President of Industry Relations for Owens and Minor. They both discuss medical recalls, the current process, and where we are going in the future. Today, we're making great strides into automation for these recalls, but we still have a lot more to do and we need everyone involved. Please join us as Kevin and Vicky dive into the challenges the healthcare industry faces in managing recalls for medical devices and how automation and data standards like Unique Device Identification (UDI) can address these issues. Key takeaways: The Internet is a powerful tool for collaboration and problem-solving, with significant untapped potential. There is a clear affinity for the Internet, citing its ability to connect people from different backgrounds and enable collaborative problem-solving. We are only starting to scratch the surface of what is possible with this technology, but there is still much to be discovered and leveraged in the years to come. Automation and UDI hold promise for improved recall management. Despite the challenges of recall management in healthcare, there are several promising advancements in the field. Automation has increased in recent years, improving efficiency in the recall management process. The implementation of UDIs (Unique Device Identifiers) has likewise shown promise, as they can help to quickly locate products during a recall and provide more specific information beyond a catalog number. Enriching medical records with specific product information can lead to more detailed analytics. There are a variety of potential benefits of enriching medical records with specific product information, such as catalog numbers and lot numbers. This data can provide medical professionals with more detailed analytics on patient outcomes and device performance, leading to better research opportunities and ultimately, better patient care.
