AI search is a game changer for content creation. To be a winner, create powerful brand messaging in your own brand voice BASED ON your unique brand persona. Although AI can automate tasks and create content, it does not create a unique brand voice based on a brand persona. AI can be a tool to amplify a brand voice, but never a substitute for it.  But it is exactly with an authentic and humanized brand voice, based on a powerful brand persona, that brand trust is developed. Although AI is still very much in its infancy, it's clear that the basic skills of drawing and painting, of music, and much more, are becoming redundant. Why spend 5 years in art school when you can create a Turner or a Dutch Master with a few computer commands? In 1972, Rabbi Yaakov Asher Sinclair opened SARM Studios the first 24-track recording studio in Europe where Queen mixed “Bohemian Rhapsody”. His music publishing company, Druidcrest Music published the music for The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1973) and as a record producer, he co-produced the quadruple-platinum debut album by American band “Foreigner” (1976). American Top ten singles from this album included, “Feels Like The First Time”, “Cold as Ice” and “Long, Long Way from Home”. Other production work included “The Enid – In the Region of the Summer Stars”, “The Curves”, and “Nutz” as well as singles based on The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy with Douglas Adams and Richard O'Brien. Other artists who used SARM included: ABC, Alison Moyet, Art of Noise, Brian May, The Buggles, The Clash, Dina Carroll, Dollar, Flintlock, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Grace Jones, It Bites, Malcolm McLaren, Nik Kershaw, Propaganda, Rush, Rik Mayall, Stephen Duffy, and Yes. In 1987, he settled in Jerusalem to immerse himself in the study of Torah. His two Torah books The Color of Heaven, on the weekly Torah portion, and Seasons of the Moon met with great critical acclaim. Seasons of the Moon, a unique fine-art black-and-white photography book combining poetry and Torah essays, has now sold out and is much sought as a collector's item fetching up to $250 for a mint copy. He is much in demand as an inspirational speaker both in Israel, Great Britain and the United States. He was Plenary Keynote Speaker at the Agudas Yisrael Convention, and Keynote Speaker at Project Inspire in 2018. Rabbi Sinclair lectures in Talmud and Jewish Philosophy at Ohr Somayach/Tannenbaum College of Judaic studies in Jerusalem and is a senior staff writer of the Torah internet publications Ohrnet and Torah Weekly. His articles have been published in The Jewish Observer, American Jewish Spirit, AJOP Newsletter, Zurich's Die Jüdische Zeitung, South African Jewish Report and many others. Rabbi Sinclair was born in London, and lives with his family in Jerusalem. He was educated at St. Anthony's Preparatory School in Hampstead, Clifton College, and Bristol University. Jeannette tackles common myths surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on the business landscape. She emphasises that while AI will change the nature of work, it will not replace all jobs; instead, it will create new roles and enhance human capabilities. Jeannette also debunks ten prevalent misconceptions about AI, such as its infallibility and the belief that it is only for large companies. KEY TAKEAWAYS While AI will change the nature of work, it will not eliminate all jobs. Instead, it will create new roles and foster a hybrid work environment where humans and AI collaborate. AI's Accuracy Depends on Data: AI is only as accurate as the data it processes. It is essential for humans to oversee and input data to ensure AI's effectiveness. Although AI can analyse data and generate ideas, it does not possess emotions or the ability to think creatively like humans. AI is not just for large corporations; small and medium-sized businesses can also benefit significantly from AI tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. BEST MOMENTS "AI is going to replace all jobs... the truth is that with the use of technology, actually, the world of work will change." "AI is only as accurate as the data that has been put into it. It is not going to be 100% accurate." "AI can analyse data fantastically well, but it lacks emotion. So it will never be able to have human-like intelligence exactly." "AI is perfect for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as large organisations." This is the perfect time to get focused on what YOU want to really achieve in your business, career, and life. He shares the pros and cons of building great relationships with company CMOs, his agency's challenges improving at self-promotion, and how he sees AI has affecting the very human art of storytelling. Building a Reputation That Attracts Big Brands Over thirty years ago, Marc, then the owner of a cosmetic company, met a branding specialist who had carved out his niche in the luxury sector. Their initial collaboration proved so successful that when Christian Dior acquired Marc's cosmetic company, the two of them saw an opportunity to create something bigger together and joined forces as DMA United. According to Marc, their agency's approach has never been about self-promotion or chasing after marquee clients for the sake of reputation. Instead, Marc and his partner built their reputation on letting the work speak for itself. By focusing on the work rather than the accolades, DMA United has built a reputation that attracts clients organically, including industry giants like Sony Music, Warner Brothers Entertainment, and Pepsi. Pros and Cons of Getting in Bed with a CMO Starting with their first big clients, Kerastase (a L'Oreal subsidiary), Marc's agency was able to move to working with other big names thanks in part to the relationships they built with CMOs. As CMOs move from one company to another, they often bring their trusted agency partners, creating a network of opportunities based on proven performance. Some of these CMOs have worked with his agency for their entire careers from big brand to big brand. This dynamic also presents challenges. When a CMO leaves, the new leadership may seek to reinvent their brand strategy, often leading to the loss of established partnerships. Marc acknowledges this double-edged sword but suggests agencies can mitigate this risk by diversifying their offerings. By expanding their skill set beyond traditional marketing and into emerging technologies like blockchain, Web3, and artificial intelligence, his agency has created a unique value proposition that makes it harder for people to let go of them. AI Integration Done Right: A Strategic Framework for Agency Innovation As a proponent and an author on AI integration in agency operations, Marc has developed a nuanced approach to incorporating artificial intelligence into his agency's work, focusing primarily on two areas: data analysis and content creation. In the fashion and lifestyle sectors where Marc's agency operates, traditional data analysis often poses significant challenges. Executive teams typically struggle with multiple data sets and time-consuming reporting processes, making swift market responses difficult. AI technology addresses this pain point by enabling real-time data analysis, allowing executives to make informed decisions instantly. CEOs and CMOs can now evaluate marketing campaign performance across platforms immediately and adjust budget allocations dynamically for optimal results. However, Marc's enthusiasm for AI comes with careful consideration of its limitations, particularly in creative work. While AI excels at generating quick visual content and creating operational efficiencies, his agency maintains a balanced approach. The technology's current state, still in its infancy, serves best as a complementary tool rather than a replacement for human creativity. The core of effective storytelling and branding, Marc argues, remains rooted in human insight and emotional intelligence. Overall, his vision isn't about surrendering creativity to algorithms but rather about leveraging AI's strengths while preserving the irreplaceable human element in creative work and that, rather than a threat, businesses should focus on harnessing its potential to enhance their operations and drive innovation. Therefore, the future of creativity lies not in the replacement of human input but in the collaboration between human ingenuity and AI capabilities. Did AI Kill Storytelling? While artificial intelligence excels at producing high-volume, short-form content for our attention-starved digital landscape, he questions whether this marks the end of meaningful storytelling or perhaps signals an impending shift in consumer preferences. The current media environment, saturated with brief clips and advertisements, has created a paradox: content is more abundant than ever, yet authentic engagement seems increasingly rare. Although AI helps meet the demand for constant content production, its output often lacks the emotional resonance and nuanced understanding that human creators naturally bring to their work. There are growing signs of content fatigue among audiences which suggests a potential revival of long-form storytelling that weaves narratives that consumers can relate to. Brands can certainly benefit from this return to long-form that allows them to become educators and storytellers, providing insights that empower consumers in their decision-making processes. AI can still be a center component in the creation of this longer content, of course, Marc just emphasizes it'll always need human overseeing to give it the relatability that will really engage people and keep them coming back. Highlights2025 Expectations (02:07)Ashe has had the opportunity to meet with and hear from customers about the challenges they're facing so SignUp can determine the kind of support customers need. A common theme that he has noticed is around "measuring what matters and trying to see how they can move to a predictive model because there's a lot of uncertainty." When business leaders are looking at solutions like ExFlow by SignUp, Ashe explains that it's "something that when we get through our implementation, we feel like we've got a path for them to be able to help meet those goals and, hopefully, improve their relationships with their vendors and reduce some of those risks."ExFlow as an Enabler (05:30)ExFlow focuses on AP automation within Dynamics 365 on both F&O and BC. The office of the CFO is changing to be more strategic with investments, mitigating risks, and predicting potential opportunities. ExFlow takes the amount of time that an organization spends on invoicing, for instance, and compresses it to reduce potential errors and give time back to the business. It also helps organizations measure key elements so they can re-architect their business to be more efficient and plan more effectively. "I think that's where a lot of the real value comes from," Ashe says.Future of AI (08:10)AI will continue to have a huge impact, Ashe considers. For most organizations, AI will have a wider impact of a big-bang approach. "I think some organizations are prepared for that...People are going to slowly but surely get more used to just having an autonomous agent there to help them do their jobs."Previously, Hedin has discussed the premise of three horizons of AI that can be aligned with strategic decision-making and financial control. He elaborates on these horizons: The first horizon is having an immediate impact now, as it includes using copilots to optimize processes and models to become more efficient. The second horizon involves using AI to drive the setup of systems. The third horizon is more autonomous, allowing agents to manage reoccurring tasks, for example.Driving an AI-Strategic View into 2025 (14:46)"We're actually doing what we've always been doing," Hedin confirms. "We've been 100% a Microsoft-dedication ISV." He describes how SignUp Software builds on Microsoft's platform for industry-specific, horizontal solutions. "We need to be smart and use what they are doing and then build the last touch on top of that." This enables the company to build AI models that become better and better with each new generation.Although AI and its evolution is becoming faster and faster, as people are increasingly absorbing the technology, the learning curve still takes time. While AI technology is being adoption, it still requires knowledge to work through prompts, asking the right questions, and fine-tuning models. We need to be maybe one to two years patient before achieving the real autonomous level, Hedin explains, but there are a lot of efficient processes on the way.

Gregor Pryor of Reed Smith's Entertainment & Media Group in London describes why it's important for law firms to train their lawyers in how to use AI. Although AI-powered tools do not exceed living lawyers in all aspects of legal practice, their powers of calculation bring immense yields in efficiency and can be a powerful accelerator for law firms delivering services. ----more---- Transcript: Intro: Hello, and welcome to Tech Law Talks, a podcast brought to you by Reed Smith's Emerging Technologies Group. In each episode of this podcast, we will discuss cutting-edge issues on technology, data, and the law. We will provide practical observations on a wide variety of technology and data topics to give you quick and actionable tips to address the issues you are dealing with every day.  Gregor: Hi, everybody, and welcome to our new series on artificial intelligence. Over the coming months, we'll explore some of the key challenges and opportunities within the rapidly evolving AI landscape. And today we're going to focus on artificial intelligence within law firms and hopefully give a bit more context about how Reed Smith is deploying artificial intelligence in the delivery of its services to clients. The first thing I would say is that certainly in my day job as an entertainment lawyer, AI has been a very controversial subject, mostly as it pertains to training. And as we'll discover as I explain more about how Reed Smith is using AI, training and the ability for law firms to use data that it obtains, is highly contingent on clients agreeing to that training or being comfortable with the manner in which law firms are deploying the technology to improve and make their services more efficient. So the first thing I want to talk about is how we are using AI and what our future plans are. So there's a whole lot of buzz and hype, I think, about how AI is impacting the way that law firms are operating. There's been a number of surveys. phase, most of them say that AI will transform the business of law and having been in the business of law for 25 years. I've heard that for the whole 25 years, but now feels like the time when it actually is happening and the decisions that firms are making to adopt AI are having an impact on how they perform. Most of the global 200 firms have policies about how they use generative AI. There's a high level of governance and risk management concerning client data, as I mentioned. But not all of those firms have a policy concerning how they use AI. We've been working and have worked on ours for a number of years and continue to iterate as the technology improves and client perspectives on the use of AI change. We think that there's likely a gap between preparedness and managing risk and the implementation of AI and we've been being very careful as we prepare our infrastructure to integrate and use AI carefully. Obviously the bigger the law firm, the more they are able to leverage AI and invest, but not that many firms are working with clients on AI projects. We've just finished a trial of about seven different providers. We've used them on a beta basis through limited rollout. We're not putting all our eggs in one basket. We're trying to figure out which AI has proper utility, which machines generate real-time efficiencies and help us in the delivery of our service. I think it's fair to say that some of them are nowhere near as impressive as we'd hoped, but we are still continuing to invest. One of the things that we've been very careful about is organizing our data and making sure it's hygienic. That means not using client data for AI without permission and also making sure that we have organized ourselves so that our data doesn't get unnecessarily or incorrectly commingled. One of the other topics that comes up is how AI can improve efficiency and productivity. I think there's some really obvious ways, such as summarizing documents, helping translate things, creating text or drafting. It gets a bit more complex. I think decision tree software has been around for a long time, but that's evolved so that you have a much more of a chatbot style interaction with AI. Of course, how do we address ethical, security, confidentiality concerns? These are all going to be developed in conjunction with clients. We don't think that we have the right or privilege of dictating to our clients how we use technology. But we do want to be a first mover where we can be because that will give us an advantage over other providers, other firms. We think that training our lawyers how to use AI is almost as important as the technology itself. It's no use having these incredible tools, but not being able to have lawyers that are well-versed in using them. And indeed, that is a trend that we're seeing within our clients as well. So we've been delivering prompt training, use case training for lawyers, because unless lawyers themselves change the way they work and adopt the use of the machines, then the machines will be pretty useless. One of the things I often get asked is whether I perceive AI as a competitive advantage for law firms. I'm not sure that it's necessarily only AI. And I do think there are quite tight limits on the use of AI. One bit of feedback we had from a particular client was that they preferred their lawyers to understand how the law works. And just reading case summaries generated by AI was no substitute for human learning. And to a great extent, I agree with that. Although I do think that there are ways in which lawyers learn and the change in the way that we practice over the past 20 years has been huge. I remember, I'm making myself seem very old, but I remember going to photocopying rooms and delivering faxes and carrying around big bundles of documents. Things that seem very arcane to us now in the early 20s, but actually when I qualified 20 years ago they were real things that we had to do. We've seen some clients use AI in really interesting and clever ways. We're fortunate that many of the clients we represent, huge technology companies who already have very sophisticated artificial intelligence applications and utilities. So that gives us an insight into how they expect us to adapt and align with them. One of the challenges we face is that exact issue, given that many of our clients have their own thoughts, processes, ethics, rollout, timetables for AI, and we have to align our delivery with what they're doing. And then finally, I guess one of the things that I should talk about is the limitations of AI. What can it do and what can it not do? Where would we struggle to use it? I still think when it comes to advocacy and negotiation. Particularly live and in real time, there's still a very strong place for lawyers with talent, with a keen intellect, who are quick on their feet, and who can see through a client's objectives very capably. I don't see a computer doing that anytime soon. We can look at case predictors or outcome predictive models, certainly to try and streamline the transactional process or find a way to reduce litigation costs. But having lawyers that can think however powerful the AI is to human brains is typically much more powerful. And so long as we are able to leverage, educate ourselves, use the technology to our advantage, and leverage it for a better outcome for our clients, then I think AI can be an incredibly powerful accelerator for us in the delivery of our services at retail. Whether there are any particularly outlandish or wild predictions related to the use of AI in the next decade or so. I could see a couple of things. Firstly, I could see is for low-level legal services. The use of “robolawyers” or entirely automated services to conclude transactions or effectuate things that you want to do as a consumer or an SME, almost certainly that's going to happen we're already seeing it in the venture capital space we're already seeing it with some of the automated services you see coming out of silicon valley why would you pay hundreds of pounds of dollars or thousands for a lawyer when you can just have a machine that would give you an outcome that's if you know provided you're prepared to accept a little bit of risk I could see robolawyers being a standalone service that's one thing I could see happening. The other thing that I could see happening within the next decade is the abolition or at least firms operating with complete abandonment of an hourly rate. It's something that Reed Smith has been examining closely. We've got client value teams. We've got a bunch of alternative billing models. We give clients options and choices about how they might want to pay for what we're delivering. But for law firms, there's a real opportunity there. If we've invested in and can leverage technology to deliver something much more quickly or to a better standard than a competitor, it doesn't necessarily follow that we would charge less. It may be that we can deliver it for a lower cost and our margin would increase, but that doesn't necessarily mean we're going to price it. There's a race to the bottom on pricing. So I'm quite bullish on some of the opportunities that are afforded by AI if a firm can gain a competitive advantage. If everyone's using the same technology, then inevitably the prices will go down because clients will see, why would I pay more if you're all using the same thing? So the prize, if you like, will be for law firms who can figure out ways to create products or services more efficiently and to a higher standard, and then still be able to charge well for them and increase their margin. So law firms typically have a high margin, they're high margin businesses. We don't want to be greedy. We want to deliver great value to clients. But equally, if there are opportunities to make money through the use of AI, we'll pursue them. And I think one of the ways to do that is to really critically challenge and question the use of the hourly rate, which has a bunch of built-in inefficiency.  Outro: Tech Law Talks is a Reed Smith production. The future is here. AI is getting increasingly powerful, and as every new update improves, we are all beginning to take some serious issues to heart: what will this do for our jobs? A recent article has just been published by Business Insider outlining how AI is eliminating more jobs than anyone realizes. Potentially 300 million jobs worldwide could be replaced by AI. But what kind of jobs are these exactly? Will there be mass unemployment and layoffs? And are the Democrats trying to leverage this to further their woke agendas?  Many fear that a Brave New World future lies ahead of us in this technologically advanced revolution, but I think this could be a great opportunity for patriots. Although AI may be replacing potentially 300 million jobs, perhaps it will be a great disruptor, just like the internet, rather than a great obliterator. Join the bizmktg.com team as they discuss the movie "Her" and AI. In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, the movie "Her" serves as a poignant exploration of the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence (AI). The film delves into the emotional and ethical complexities that arise when a man forms a deep connection with his AI operating system. But how far are we from this fictional narrative becoming a reality? The Emotional Depth of AIAs AI technologies like chatbots and virtual assistants become increasingly sophisticated, questions arise about their potential to offer emotional support and companionship. While these systems are designed to understand and respond to human language, can they ever truly comprehend human emotion? The general consensus is one of caution. Although AI has made significant strides, replacing human interaction with machine-generated responses could lead to a society where genuine relationships are devalued.Privacy Concerns and Ethical DilemmasAnother pressing issue is the ethical implications of AI, especially when it comes to privacy and data security. In the movie “Her,” the AI system knows intimate details about the protagonist's life, raising concerns about how much personal information these systems should have access to. This leads to a broader discussion about the urgent need for legislation to regulate these rapidly advancing technologies. Trust in AI is not just about the algorithms; it's also about the people programming them. As AI continues to evolve, so should the laws that govern its use.The Existential QuestionsFinally, the advent of AI brings forth existential questions about the future of humanity. Can we coexist with increasingly advanced AI, or are we setting ourselves on a path to obsolescence? Opinions are divided. Some argue that AI could mark “the beginning of the end for humanity,” while others are more optimistic. They believe that humanity has the resilience and ingenuity to adapt and thrive, even in a world increasingly influenced by AI.—In conclusion, the movie “Her” serves as a compelling lens through which to examine the ethical and emotional implications of AI. As we continue to integrate these technologies into our daily lives, it's crucial to approach them with a sense of caution and responsibility, always considering the broader impact they may have on society.

In this episode of BackTable Urology, Dr. Silva and Dr. Zamip Patel, a urologist specializing in male infertility and andrology at Southeast Male Infertility and Urology/Andrology, discuss infertility trends and causes, as well as artificial intelligence in surgical robotics and fertility. --- SHOW NOTES First, the doctors discuss the rising rate of infertility in the US and around the world, and the potential causes behind it. They consider the impact of obesity and environmental cues, like endocrine disruptors, on fertility rates. Then, they transition to reflecting on the rapidly changing landscape of infertility treatments and how insurance coverage and third party providers are playing a role in treatment selection. They also examine the impact of government mandates on fertility coverage, and the implications for employers who want to provide fertility benefits to their employees. Next, they explore the challenges of diagnosing infertility, such as lack of awareness and the importance of optimizing the male side to improve IVF outcomes. Zamip then explains artificial intelligence (AI) can augment male fertility diagnostics and therapeutics. Advanced neural networks have enabled us to identify candidate genes in large sets of data that weren't available before, leading to a more accurate diagnosis. AI can also help the fertilization process, as it can aid in selecting the most viable sperm and egg, and identify the best embryos for implantation. Zamip also adds that AI can assist in the genetic analysis of blastocysts and how it may help avoid discarding embryos unnecessarily. We consider the potential benefits of AI alongside the ethical implications of using AI in such delicate procedures. Although AI can dramatically improve the healthcare industry and revolutionize treatments for men's health, both doctors agree that there is a need for a humanistic touch in the medical field, even as AI becomes more advanced. --- RESOURCES WellPrept https://wellprept.com/

Marketing in 2023 Small Business Talk With Cathy Smith Brought to you by CATCO Enterprises In episode 205 of Small Business Talk, Cathy Smith delves into her experiences from the past week, highlighting the challenge of choosing a topic amidst an array of conferences, podcasts, and audiobooks she has engaged with. The primary discussion of this episode is the role and implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the realm of 2023 marketing. Cathy shares insights from the State of Social conference she attended, where AI emerged as a central theme of the second day. There was a substantial emphasis on the need for businesses to harness AI while safeguarding their brand values and ensuring genuine authenticity. While AI offers immense potential, especially in hastening tasks and possibly supplanting stock photos, Cathy advocates treating AI with the same caution as a new hire. It's essential to supervise its activities to ensure outputs are accurate and aligned with the brand. She emphasises the irreplaceable nature of human connections in business. Although AI can amplify efforts, it can't entirely replace the human touch. As AI embeds itself into the modern marketing toolkit, businesses should capitalise on its strengths, particularly in data processing and generating quick results, without becoming overly dependent on it. Beyond AI, Cathy underscores the value of brand authenticity. She stresses the need for businesses to ensure consistent experiences across all touchpoints, be it physical storefronts or digital interactions. The customer's journey, often guided by the customers themselves, demands flexibility and adaptability on the business's part. Consistency, akin to the predictable quality found in fast-food chains, is essential for building and maintaining brand trust. The episode also highlights the advantages of collaborative ventures, pushing for mutual benefit partnerships that align with brand values and engage diverse subcultures. Cathy accentuates the essence of delegation for entrepreneurs. She recommends focusing on core competencies and offloading tasks that don't align with one's strengths. Such an approach not only boosts efficiency but is a safeguard against burnout. Business owners can focus their energies on more lucrative endeavours by hiring experts, like bookkeepers familiar with the latest regulations. Episode 205 of Small Business Talk with Cathy Smith offers a comprehensive overview of the current marketing landscape, the rising significance of AI, and the perennial need for genuine human touchpoints in business operations. While AI has been around for a while, it has recently gained significant attention in mainstream media and among marketers and business owners. Shaun believes that many people view AI as complicated and unimaginable for business owners, but he emphasizes that AI can be manageable, comparing it to another team member or hired person. Shaun discusses how AI can assist with tasks such as writing copy and improving content, particularly through a main AI terminology called chat GBT. However, it's important to note that the AI's performance relies on the quality of the content it has access to, and its knowledge is limited to learnings up until 2019. To address this limitation, plugins are available to enable referencing the internet. Nevertheless, the AI cannot differentiate between good and bad content, potentially leading to inaccurate or unreliable information. Thus, it is crucial for users to review all information provided by the AI for accuracy. Shaun emphasizes the importance of creating initial content in various formats, such as writing, videos, or podcasts. He mentions the existence of tools that can help reach a larger audience by repurposing content. Specifically, he refers to a tool that can transcribe and analyze full podcast episodes, providing timestamps and keywords. This tool can also be used for creating YouTube videos. Furthermore, Shaun discusses another tool that provides TikTok scripts for Instagram reels, LinkedIn posts, emails, and follow-up discussion questions. While acknowledging that this tool makes a big promise, Shaun believes it has done a pretty good job so far. Without this tool, creating all that content would have taken a considerable amount of time. However, he emphasizes the importance of reviewing the generated content to ensure it aligns with the intended message. Shaun found a powerful feature in a video tool that allows him to click on it and watch it back. Below the video, there is functionality that provides next action steps, enhancing productivity through AI. During meetings, this tool itemizes tasks and assignments in bullet points, with the responsible party and task description. Although AI has the ability to generate images, Shaun acknowledges that its current performance in this area is only satisfactory. He encourages business owners to approach AI with an open mind and excitement, promising that matching the right tool with a task will yield significant benefits. Shaun offers to discuss AI further via email at hello@bluecowmarketing.com, providing an opportunity for listeners to explore the topic in more depth. He also mentions a tool that uses AI to transcribe and cut uploaded videos into different reels for various platforms. This tool also provides descriptions, keywords, and hashtags for the videos. However, Shaun finds the editing capabilities of this tool unsatisfactory and plans to stop using it in the future, anticipating the release of a better alternative tool. In conclusion, Shaun advises business owners not to view AI as something that will entirely replace their role. He shares a technique he has been using in client and sales meetings, which has proven effective in capturing important information without the need for writing. He recommends a tool called Descript, which costs $20 a month but also offers a free version, for transcription and script generation. Shaun personally uses Adobe Audition to record episodes and then imports the audio into Descript for transcription. The Descript transcript is then utilized in chat GPT to generate five to seven quotes. Timestamps: [00:01:09] Artificial intelligence can simplify business tasks. FOMO is fear of missing out. While FOMO has always been part of SEO because of constantly changing algorithms, 2023 has presented the highest dosage of FOMO in recent memory. The primary culprit for this trend is the onset of AI technology, particularly concerning the mass production of website content. Some roofing companies feel like they're missing out by NOT mass-producing AI-generated content for their website. But unfortunately, search engines have already penalized websites engaging in such mass production. A few listeners have pushed back by citing Google's recent guidelines where they leave room for using AI content when it serves the user. But, of course, this is semantics because most AI content is inherently created to take shortcuts. Therefore, unless the website makes AI content uniquely, it will violate the spirit of search engine guidelines. Some SEO agencies attempt to disguise AI-generated content to make it appear human-generated. However, entering a rat race that requires your process to continuously trick search engines is a race you will undoubtedly lose over time.Although AI-powered techniques are at the forefront of roofing SEO FOMO in 2023, it is not the only example. The prophet Isaiah speaks of the foolishness of those who bow down to the work of their own hands, idols made of wood that cannot speak and have no power of their own. And yet the irony of idolatry is that idols come to have a strange power over us and our actions. John Wyatt of the Faraday Institute sees this biblical image of the idol as a powerful lens for assessing the spiritual, ethical, and philosophical repercussions of AI. Although AI is developed with the goal of helping mankind shape a better future, in many ways it is us who are changed by the technology we've created. From children forming relationships with analogous persons like Siri and Alexa, to engineers who believe that programs can become sentient, to people who prefer interacting with chatbots over human relationships—in these and many other ways, we are only beginning to feel the impact of AI on the human person. John and Gretchen discuss these issues and more, and bring up important questions that Christians must ask in the age of AI. If we are image bearers created in the likeness of God, is mankind then making AI in its own image? How do we respond to the desire to “upgrade” humanity in light of the Incarnation and Resurrection?

How To Deliver Effective Hyper-Personalized Experiences

The Modern Customer Podcast

It's no secret that modern customers crave personalization. Efforts to tailor experiences to customers' needs are foundational to a strong CX strategy.  But the next step of personalization is here: hyper-personalization.  According to Raj Badarinath, CMO of Algonomy, hyper-personalization has three main characteristics: It focuses on individuals, not segments. Even if two customers have some similar qualities, they each have a unique experience that meets their exact needs. It creates experiences in real-time. Hyper-personalization delivers offers right when customers need them most. It uses AI and machine learning to improve over time. Hyper-personalization efforts get better as the technology and company learn more about each customer.  Instead of simply providing a certain experience for a customer depending on their demographic or preference segment, hyper-personalization considers the context to choose the right offer and experience in real-time. Hyper-personalization uses technology to look at countless variables and know what a customer is looking for and what they need at that exact moment.  Badarinath gives the example of a customer shopping in a store, likely while also using the store's mobile app to look up products and get information. The store knows the customer's preferences and that they are close by and can use hyper-personalization to send an offer that considers the context and meets their exact needs at that moment, perhaps by recommending a product that is relevant to what they are already buying or a discount on a brand they have bought in the past.  At the heart of hyper-personalization is strong digital solutions, especially around AI and machine learning. Badarinath says companies have to consider the digital maturity of their systems when making decisions. Some AI solutions only have the maturity of a three-year-old, while others have the maturity of a 30-year-old. That maturity impacts the decisions the technology makes and how it learns and grows. The same hyper-personalization strategy won't work on all levels of maturity.  Although AI and technology are important, hyper-personalization is most effective with a human touch. The best companies provide their human employees with tools to access customer data and preferences in real-time to deliver those hyper-personalized offers human-to-human.  In today's connected world, companies are no longer just competing against other brands within their industry—they are competing against every company. Hyper-personalization sets the standard and drives a strong customer experience and long-term loyalty to fuel business growth. *Sponsored by Algonomy  _______________ Blake Morgan is a customer experience futurist, keynote speaker, and author of the bestselling book The Customer Of The Future. For regular updates on customer experience, sign up for her weekly newsletter here.  Join the waitlist now for the new Customer Experience Community here.

Ep 78: Will AI take over internet marketing? (Title written by AI)

Agency Exposed Podcast

Summary: In this week's episode, we explore the scientific world of AI and specifically AI copywriting. We discuss the pros and cons of AI in marketing and life. Throughout this episode, we dissect the importance of the human element, truth in marketing, the future, and false narratives. We also breakdown the difference between machine learning and AI. Although AI can eliminate tedious tasks and create opportunities for more creativity, there has to be a balance because, without failure, we will never improve or grow. It's important to understand how to apply AI to certain areas of your agency to improve your marketing or make it more efficient while maintaining a genuine customer experience.   Top 3 Curtain Pulls in this episode:    There are many pros and cons with AI. AI can be an awesome tool for marketing and improving efficiency, but it also makes mistakes, lacks depth, and can even put people out of jobs. Your perspective and priorities are what will help you determine whether you need AI in your agency or not. “it depends on what you measure, in your mind as the most important”  AI makes mistakes. Nobody, even AI, is perfect. It's limited in its understanding of human emotions and nuances. Because of this, it's important to use AI in marketing as an assistant in a way that reduces the potential for error. “AI gets a lot of things wrong, that humans wouldn't get wrong” AI can never replace the human element. Although AI can bring massive efficiency to the way businesses market their products, it will never be able to add the human element. This is why it's important to maintain an imaginative, genuine side to your agency. “What AI can't do is the human element, which is storytelling, nuance, and creativity.”      For more tips, discussion, and behind the scenes: Follow us on Instagram @AgencyPodcast Join our closed Facebook community for agency leaders About The Guys:  Bob Hutchins: Founder of BuzzPlant, a digital agency that he ran from 2000-2017. [6:42] Brad asks if there is a difference between machine learning and AI.  [7:19] Bob explains his interpretation of the difference between programming and artificial intelligence. “Programming a computer to do certain tasks is machine learning. Intelligence is you take those things and ideas and reasoning and put them together and output something that appears to be something that only a human can do.” [8:21] Ken gives his analysis on AI and machine learning. “Almost all AI right now, will use machine learning to get smarter. Machine learning is just taking inputs and adjusting the way you do things based on the results, good or bad, and then improving.” [8:47] Brad points out that because of how advanced AI has become, many people believe that AI will be the demise of the human race. [9:22] Ken mentions how AI can make mistakes and how this poses a danger to society.  [10:11] Brad draws a comparison between how advanced AI is today and the movie Minority Report. [10:20] Bob reminds the listeners that “AI can only do what it's programmed to do.”   [10:29] Ken points out that while AI can use past data to try to project into the future, only humans have an imagination and can create the future out of nothing.   [12:20] Bob talks about how people can understand emotions and nuance while AI can mistake these for things they are not. “Machines only understand ones and zeros, blacks and whites, and yes and nos.” [12:44] Brad mentions that while there can be numerous negative effects to AI, it also has a positive impact on marketing. [14:09] Brad asks, “what have you guys been using that you would consider AI that you felt are valuable in your work?” [14:21] Bob contemplates how often we take AI for granted and the role it plays in everyday life. [16:37] Brad talks about how people always talk about AI from an antagonistic point of view and the fear of AI. [18:45] Bob considers how the narrative about AI may have become twisted and uses sharks as an example. “How many other things in my life do I just assume that that's the narrative? And that's the way it is when actually, well, maybe sharks don't hate humans, and don't want to bite their arms off every single time. Maybe they're actually kind creatures that we can pat and get to know if we would take the time to do that. I think it's  the same thing with AI.” [19:42] Bob points out that by using AI in a positive way, we can become kinder and more creative. [20:04] Brad talks about how Apple is leading the way with privacy and how focused they are on it. He also questions their reasoning and motivation behind this dedication to privacy. [22:00] Ken talks about how businesses are made to make money and the difference between a nonprofit business and a for profit business. [24:04] Ken talks about how AI is a double edged sword and it takes wisdom and discernment to prevent harm. “The more power the more responsibility” [27:40] Brad chats about how AI and automation can take away jobs and how scary that is.  [28:12] Brad considers the future of AI and asks, “Is there a point where your brand will be disingenuous and we know that it's all being generated by AI and it's all fake?” [29:14] Bob talks about how AI can never replace the human element. “What AI can't do is the human element, which is storytelling, nuance, and creativity.”  [31:37] Ken contemplates the idea that AI could take over all marketing. [33:56] Ken talks about the challenge to find the truth and determine what is real in AI marketing.“Will the internet become just an AI? A machine? And you don't know what's real and what's not.” [36:37] Brad talks about how our laziness and the convenience of AI doing research for us allows the AI to create the truth. “When I think about people, I think that they're mostly just sheep half the time.” “They don't want a challenge. They just want to take content and repurpose it as truth.  [37:39] Bob mentions an email he received about an AI marketing tool.  “They have some kind of facial recognition that will tell you people's response during that video and what ads are creating an emotional response and which ones are not.” [39:44] Bob summarizes his opinion on AI and machine learning. [41:20] Brad talks about the importance of human interaction and failure. “If we don't fail in life, we'll never grow.” [44:13] Ken talks about the pros and cons of AI and how, “it depends on what you measure, in your mind as the most important”  [44:43] Ken asks, “if you run an agency, how do you use AI?”  [46:59] Ken gives his take on practical application of AI. “as much as you can leverage effectively, you should, without degrading the quality of your work.”  [51:54] Brad talks about humanity's potential and how we are not just data to be analyzed.  [53:43] Brad discusses the search for identity and how AI could potentially manipulate that.  [56:44] Brad mentions his experience with AI and its impact on the healthcare/telehealth industry. [1:00:06] Brad has one last tip for the listeners. “Even if you're not using a lot of AI in your practice or work, understand AI because every business is going to rely on it. And the more you understand your clients business, the better marketer you're going to be.”

Sarah also talks with Klaus-Robert Müller, a professor of machine learning at the Technical University of Berlin, about an artificial intelligence (AI) trained in the sport of curling—often described as a cross between bowling and chess. Although AI has succeeded in chess, Go, and poker, the constantly changing environment of curling is far harder for a nonhuman mind to adapt to. Although AI brings forth a wide array of possibilities, it raises many questions. Will AI systems substitute workers? Does AI increase inequality and job polarisation? Will the overall quality of work decrease? What are the recommended policy actions to minimise the associated concerns for workers? Technological development and digitalisation have major implications for the workforce and the future of labour markets. The current so-called AI revolution is not the first, as we have experienced 3 industrial revolutions since the 18th century based on technological breakthroughs. That being said, AI technologies have some specific features that differentiate them from the previous revolutions, such as machines that can learn and become more capable to perform specific tasks. For that reason, the first important question discussed at this event was: Is it different this time?

In order for businesses to maintain a competitive advantage in the years to come, SMB's need to introduce AI into their sales processes sooner rather than later. Although AI may seem like something well beyond an SMB’s needs—the truth is that AI already plays a major part in sales team operations. In fact, by 2020, 30% of all companies will employ AI to augment at least one of their primary sales processes. Software Advice is a Gartner company that was an obvious choice for me to invite onto my daily tech podcast. The fact that Software Advice has already advised over 599,000 buyers on the best software solutions completely under my radar captured my curiosity. Software Advice is an online service for businesses navigating the software selection process. Advisors provide free, personalized software recommendations, helping companies of all sizes find products that meet their business needs. Software Advice also features objective research by industry experts and reviews from validated users, saving buyers time and resources. Andrew Friedenthal talks about how businesses can future-proof themselves against competitors adopting AI.

Will AI machines destroy humanity as we know it? Actually, quite the contrary. AI matters to the everyday business owner more than they might know. There’s a lot to be learned in prediction technology and today’s guest shares advice on how you can use this knowledge to grow your marketing and sales potential.   Avi Goldfarb is the Ellison Professor of Marketing at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Avi is also Chief Data Scientist at the Creative Destruction Lab, Senior Editor at Marketing Science, and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Avi is also the author of Prediction Machines, which he will be discussing on today’s show!   In 2012, there were only a couple of companies at the time that were calling themselves AI companies. However, that slowly grew and by 2015, Avi had seen a huge increase of at least 50 companies being created a year. Avi and his co-authors decided to investigate and research what this technology meant for our modern society.   The Mosaic web browser made the internet accessible to the general population, but it took us about a decade to figure out how to really commercialize it. Avi believes the same will hold true with AI. We are going to see businesses use AI tools in various ways to solve key problems.   Although AI will not improve the general intelligence of your company, prediction is still really, really valuable. Why? Because it cuts down on all the unknown variables in your decision-making process when you are faced with uncertainty. Through prediction, you can be much more confident (and you have the data to prove it) on what’s the correct direction to take your business in.   Interview Links: Avigoldfarb.com Creativedestructionlab.com   Resources: Scaling Up for Business Growth Workshops: Take the first step to mastering the Rockefeller Habits by attending one of our workshops.
