Ob eksponentnem tehnološkem razvoju in hitri digitalizaciji sveta v zelo kratkem času namreč nastajajo povsem nove oblike jezika in pomenov. Jamieja Millerja, trinajstletnika, osumljenca umora sošolke (igra ga odlični Owen Cooper), privedejo na policijsko postajo in ga priprejo; sledi prihod medicinske sestre, odvetnika in socialnega delavca, pregled, telesna preiskava in zaslišanje. His first episode is a must-listen, so if you missed it, be sure to check it out on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.   If you're new to Kelly, here's a reintroduction: Kelly Leonard is the VP of Creative Strategy, Innovation, and Biz Dev @ The Second City where he's hired and developed shows with Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Steve Carell, Keegan-Michael Key, Amy Poehler, and others. On top of this, he wrote the best-selling book  "Yes, And" and hosts the "Getting to Yes, And" podcast for Second City and WGN Radio in Chicago.   Here's a preview of the gold he offers up in today's episode: If you want a raise in 2023, take a page from Ted Lasso's book and work on your soft skills. Why saying “yes, but” is just like saying “no” with a top hat. You'll never understand everything going on in a room - that's why selfless curiosity is mandatory. When you have an Amy Poehler on your team, find their place and don't waste their talent. Nothing truly innovative looks like it should make sense - otherwise it wouldn't be innovative. You achieve authenticity through your fiascos - not your perfections. He's worked for brands like Hennessy, Brooks Running, and Old Spice. After graduating from ONE School ATL, he spent time interning with agencies on the west and east coasts such as Wieden + Kennedy and Laundry Service before returning to his Ohio roots for his first full-time job at Curiosity.    On today's episode of Question Everything, we sit down with the architect himself to chat about his ad industry insights and what copywriting means to him. Between being a rising voice for Black creatives and setting the trends, Romond teaches us the importance of being a concept's #1 challenger - and not being afraid to reshape an idea until it resonates.    Here's some of his hot takes: The secret to doing it all is actually being a serial quitter. You have to always be asking for more – closed mouths don't get fed. The key to success on social media is writing like you're talking to a friend. As a copywriter, you don't actually have to like writing – he doesn't. As a Black creative – creating alongside people who look like you will push your ideas further. Being a first-generation college student has a silver lining, it's that you set the bar.   Connect with Romond on LinkedIn and Instagram.   A must-read mentioned this episode: The future is yesterday

Between star-studded stories and thought-provoking human insights, Kelly teaches us that embracing failure is often the key to success – breeding humility, vulnerability, and creativity within a team.   Here's a preview: You can make yourself shine by making others shine – improv is about building WITH someone. No one is interested in your success. We want to hear your fiasco. That's what makes you "backable." If you are well-versed in improvisation, you are well-versed in failing because you fail all the time.  See all obstacles as gifts. When someone makes a mistake on stage, it creates an opening – a way to take the story in a way we didn't think about before. Take the fucking note - the art of accepting feedback as a gift. In this video, we're going over the most recent filings submitted to the docket to get an understanding of what's happened with the court's decision-making process for Brian Warner's p/k/a Marilyn Manson's Motion to Conduct Limited Discovery. Where does this place the litigation? What does it all mean? We'll go over it all to demystify it for you. Come join!! FOR CONTEXT: Over the years since 2016, Evan Rachel Wood began speaking publicly about domestic violence, saying she had been abused by two unnamed men. On February 21, 2021, Wood named Brian Warner as one of her abusers, alleging that he abused her physically and emotionally during their romantic relationship which lasted between 2006 and 2010. On the same day, a handful of other women also made statements claiming to be victims of Warner's abuse. His alleged victims include Ashley Morgan Smithline, Esme Bianco, and Ashley Walters. In March 2022, Brian Warner, p/k/a Marilyn Manson, filed a lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood and Ashley Gore aka Illma Gore. In the lawsuit, he alleges four causes of action: defamation per se, intentional infliction of emotional distress, violation of computer hacking laws, and violation of laws barring impersonation over the internet. WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE: In April/May 2022, Wood and Gore filed Anti-SLAPP motions to try to dismiss the bulk of Manson's claims. Filing this kind of motion essentially "freezes" the case until the court decides on the issue. This means the parties cannot serve discovery requests on each other, except by specific request. So in July, Manson filed a Motion to Conduct Limited Discovery, asking to depose five witnesses--including Wood and Gore--arguing that he needs this discovery to oppose the Anti-SLAPP motions. Last week, Wood and Gore filed Oppositions to Manson's Motion. On 8/11/2011, Manson filed his Replies to both Oppositions. Let's go over it! - The lawsuit filed against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears has been voluntarily dismissed by the plaintiff. What's happening, what does it mean, and what does it mean for the future of this whole cluster of cases? CONTEXT: SMITHLINE V. MANSON Over the years since 2016, Evan Rachel Wood began speaking publicly about domestic violence, saying she had been abused by two unnamed men. On 2/21/2021, Wood named Brian Warner p/k/a Marilyn Manson as one of her abusers, alleging that he abused her physically and emotionally during their romantic relationship which lasted between 2006 and 2010. On the same day, a handful of other women also made statements claiming to be victims of Warner's abuse. His alleged victims include Ashley Morgan Smithline, Esme Bianco, and Ashley Walters. In 6/2022, Ashley Morgan Smithline filed a lawsuit against Marilyn Manson alleging all kinds of abuses against her during a romantic relationship. In 3/2022, Marilyn Manson, filed a lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood and Ashley Gore aka Illma Gore. In this video we're going over the latest filings in the case filed by Esme Bianco against Brian Warner p/k/a Marilyn Manson. In that case, Manson's attorneys have been trying to depose Ashley Morgan Smithline. Ms. Smithline is a plaintiff in her own case against Manson that is separate from Ms. Bianco's case, although they have alleged similar claims. Ms. Smithline's attorney, Jay Ellwanger, also has been representing Ms. Bianco in her case. Last week, Mr. Ellwanger filed in Ms. Smithline's case a motion to withdraw from representing Ms. Smithline, saying she had made representing her "unreasonably difficult." Then, in Ms. Bianco's case, he filed a request to modify the subpoena for Ms. Smithline's deposition, arguing that she needed time to get new counsel since he had just let her know he would no longer represented. NOW, Manson's attorney has filed an opposition to the Bianco motion, saying that Mr. Ellwanger didn't just quit the representation--Ms. Smithline fired him in April 2022, and produces receipts showing he's apparently been lying to the court, opposing counsel, and even Ms. Smithline. This. Is. NUTS. In this live stream, we're going over the Replies filed yesterday by Brian Warner p/k/a Marilyn Manson in response to Evan Rachel Wood and Illma Gore's Oppositions to his Motion to Conduct Limited Discovery. Come join us! FOR CONTEXT: Over the years since 2016, Evan Rachel Wood began speaking publicly about domestic violence, saying she had been abused by two unnamed men. Yes, it's the one and only Top Boy himself: Ashley Walters. As Dushane, the East London drug kingpin in Netflix's hit show Top Boy, Walters is our favourite kind of antihero - and it's a role he's about to reprise for the fourth series. He joins me to talk about his own upbringing in Peckham, South London, an only child raised on a council estate by his mother, Pamela, and what it was like combining that reality with a burgeoning love for acting which sometimes felt like a double life. Plus, his failure to have invented Deliveroo (it's a long story), what prison taught him, the failure of toxic masculinity, his failure to remember lines and what being recognised by strangers has made him feel about this inner worth. I love love LOVE this episode because Ashley was so open and vulnerable in a way that just adds to his power.
