Follow Cindy on LinkedIn to continue the conversation and gain more insights into making impactful changes. linkedin.com/in/cindyrochaCindy Rocha has spent the last 15 years creating bridges between different sectors and managing programs to create positive change. This all started while she was a college student in Sinaloa, her home state in northern Mexico, and joined AIESEC, an international student association present in 100 countries. Founded after the 2nd World War with the mission of "peace and fulfillment of humankind's potential," AIESEC is a youth-led organization that facilitates international understanding through exchanges and leadership development programs. While those opportunities are readily available for students in the Global North, that was not the case in Cindy's local context. She worked for AIESEC at the national, regional and global level, joining AIESEC International, a multicultural team leading a network of more than 60,000 volunteers worldwide. In her final AIESEC position, Cindy was appointed Director for the Africa region, and became the first woman in that role in 60 years of organizational history. After AIESEC, Cindy has held a variety of jobs in the social impact field: She worked in corporate responsibility and process improvement for a multinational company, then as a UNDP consultant to engage the private sector in projects around the Sustainable Development Goals in Mexico, transitioned to the nonprofit sector in a disaster response organization, and currently focuses on mobilizing philanthropy to strengthen the ability of communities to withstand disasters and recover equitably when they occur. 00:00:17 today we pull from Peter Holland's new book The lifelong learner it contends that Humans have a startling tendency to gravitate toward the mundane, the monotonous, and the known.00:00:52 Judith Bardwick, a management theorist, used the term "comfort zone" in her 1991 work, Danger in the Comfort Zone.00:03:37 Abraham Maslow's (1943) theory of self-actualization posits that humans have an innate need to reach their full potential.00:04:06 Perhaps someone like Thomas Edison, the American inventor whose advancements to the light bulb made it a symbol of brilliance?00:04:31 According to renowned Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck in her book Mindset, it is not IQ, ability, or education that distinguishes successful people.00:06:05 Psychologist Andy Molinsky has dedicated his career to understanding why people resist leaving their comfort zones, and how they can overcome that resistance.00:06:59 Use the 3 Cs to Achieve Escape Velocity In his research, Molinsky discovered three techniques that people utilize to successfully venture outside of their comfort zones.00:09:27 Using the Three Cs: Conviction A sense of conviction is important in many aspects of life.00:10:17 Meet Barbara.00:15:00 Using the Three Cs: Customization In the world of fashion, customization is a process that allows you to take an existing piece of clothing and make it your own.00:18:20 What I do in those situations is go earlier than everyone else.00:22:45 Using the Three Cs: Clarity Clarity is gaining an objective, logical viewpoint of the difficulties you are facing.00:23:33 Psychotherapist Tori Rodriguez says that acknowledging and challenging negative thoughts can lead to greater clarity and understanding of life.00:28:25 Distorted thinking that results from a lack of clarity can also lead to frequent Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs).• Embracing the uncharted terrain of leaving your comfort zones aids in the development of confidence and resilience, allowing you to continue developing and learning for the rest of your life. This acquired understanding eventually means that your comfort zone has increased even further and you are now in the growth zone.• Psychologist Andy Molinsky has dedicated his career to understanding why people resist leaving their comfort zones, and how they can overcome that resistance using three Cs: conviction, customization, and clarity. You must develop strong convictions, which are your core beliefs, such as altruism, generosity, gratitude, integrity, accountability, and perseverance.• Customization relates to your ability to successfully adjust your behavior to your surroundings without losing yourself in the process. Consider it "fitting in" without fully "giving in." You're still you, just slightly altered (e.g., wearing your power suit, carrying your lucky charm, etc.) to trick yourself into feeling at ease and easily blending into your surroundings. Lastly, you must have clarity, which is obtaining an objective, rational perspective on the problems you are facing. By challenging your negative thoughts, you can gain a clearer picture of your challenges.#AbrahamMaslows #AutomaticNegativeThoughtsANTs #Carney #CarolDweck #CognitiveDistortions #ComfortZone #JudithBardwick #LebermanMartin #LifelongLearners #Molinsky #Molinskys #PositiveEnergy #ToriRodriguez #ThreeCs #From“ComfortZone”To“GrowthZone” #RussellNewton #NewtonMG #PeterHollins #TheScienceofSelf #LifelongLearnerPhoto by Pavel-Danilyuk and Pexels

So why aren't you growing? You're not growing because you refuse to get uncomfortable. You're not growing because you refuse to engage in new experiences. You're stagnant, way too deep into your comfort zone. Routines are great, habits are great and they do help us move forward... but we can end up getting stuck! Here's what you need to realize: Almost everything you need to achieve your goals requires new skills, habits, knowledge, and experiences. To go from where you are to where you want to be, you must do things you've never done before. You must be willing to get uncomfortable because discomfort is the only path to growth. There is no other way.Follow Rebecca on Instagram: https://instagram.com/rebeccasonuga?utm_medium=copy_link Connect with Rebecca on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rebecca.sonuga.9 Join the It Starts With Heart Facebook community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/269470371709788/ Subscribe to Rebecca's YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/channel/UCyEaGal_IQlX2ZFo_zx7aLA Follow Rebecca on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@rebeccasonuga?_t=8Ve1ChFAdJG&_r=1 Apply for 121 coaching with Rebecca: https://www.cognitoforms.com/RebeccaSonugaLtd/precoachingquestionnaireFollow Rebecca on Instagram: https://instagram.com/rebeccasonuga?utm_medium=copy_link Connect with Rebecca on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rebecca.sonuga.9 Join the It Starts With Heart Facebook community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/269470371709788/ Subscribe to Rebecca's YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/channel/UCyEaGal_IQlX2ZFo_zx7aLA Follow Rebecca on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@rebeccasonuga?_t=8Ve1ChFAdJG&_r=1 Apply for 121 coaching with Rebecca: https://www.cognitoforms.com/RebeccaSonugaLtd/precoachingquestionnaire

Welcome to the Spiritually Fit Yoga podcast! This episode includes a talk about moving into the Growth Zone followed by a 5 minute meditation. This episode invites you into awareness about where you can step into the growth zone and allow the transition from one door closing to another one opening. Setting your intentions during the Lion's Gate Portal is powerful when manifesting energies are amplified. The Lion's Gate Portal peaks on August 8th. Take time out for self-reflection. This meditation ends in silence for you to stay longer in a meditative state or to drift off into sleep. Repeat this meditation as often as desired. Daily meditations cultivate the habit to check-in with self, to calm the mind, relax the body, and invite in the energy of manifestation. If you want to skip the talk, start this episode around the 6 minute mark. The quote and theme for this episode: Growth is uncomfortable and so is staying somewhere you have outgrown. Hello Gorgeous Human! Today, I'm sharing about one of the biggest realizations I've had lately that changed everything for my growth, potential, leadership and business - fast. When we walk in the space of what's comfortable and the journey to where we're going - the big business, the fulfilling career, the effective leadership – this growth zone can bring up the urge to dip our toes in, only to dip our toes out when fears come up, feelings of not “enough,” fear of being seen. It's really in these moments where we are growing more into who we were born to be, more into our purpose and passions. When we are stepping into our next level it requires letting the true YOU shine. It requires being able to walk in your growth zone….this is what we're talking about in today's episode. This is something I'm walking through myself as I blaze trails for you, show you what's possible and help you unlock your potential, leadership, business AND life that you're obsessed with. I hope you love this one! Currently the HR and Payroll Manager at Flagsource, Samantha has focused on creating development sessions and training techniques for the leadership team she has worked with, aiming to improve internal growth. Having gone from a VIP Bartender to HR Manager, Samantha recognizes the importance of being able to identify talent and translatable skills on a deeper level rather than just what is written on a resume. In this episode Steve and Samantha discuss:Finding courage within Basing stability on work ethicReflecting on what you wantChoosing the scarier optionKey Takeaways: Find courage from within or draw it from the people around you that you've allowed to influence you. Don't let your stability come from external circumstances, but rather, from within. Cultivate a good work ethic and have some courage in facing the unknown. Look and reflect on what you want for your career. What do you want to learn? What do you want to be better at? When deciding on what to do between two options: one a less scary option and another a scarier option, always choose the scarier option. Surely, that scarier option will bring growth. “You're not going to progress if you're not learning new processes, procedures, reporting styles. If you have the same type of experience, you can't grow.” - Samantha PargaConnect with Samantha Parga:Website: www.Flagsource.comLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/samantha-parga-msmlConnect with Steve and Jason:LinkedIn: Jason or SteveWebsite: Rewire, Inc.: Transformed Thinking Email: grow@rewireinc.com

Strengthening our mental toughness is not about striving to become comfortable and then staying comfortable in a place that was once uncomfortable.Instead, mindpower is about throwing ourselves into the flames and defining “uncomfortable” as the new “comfortable.”Promise yourself you will only stay in one place if it's uncomfortable to be there. Any time you push the limits on your life or comfort zone, your limits will push back.Seek to leap out of your comfort zone continually and let's talk about it on this episode of the Mindpower Podcast.==========================

It's too easy to stay stuck in our comfort zones because we don't realize how much we are settling & leaving amazing opportunities on the table. I'm here to share with you how to progress from comfort zone to growth zone & start fully living your life with more joy.Show Notes:Despite how many times I have stepped outside of my comfort zone, it can still be scary to do it again & again & again. The challenges are new, the obstacles are new, the fears are new. But we know it's important to keep doing it, right? We know that if we continue to sit in our little zones of comfort & do nothing new, we will accomplish nothing new. Let's chat about some benefits of stepping outside of your comfort zone before we dive into how to step outside of it.Taking risks are opportunities for growthSettling in life leaves so much on the tableLearning to step outside your comfort zone helps you adapt to change easierStepping outside of your comfort zone helps you build new relationshipsHopefully, some of those benefits resonate with you & get you more excited about creeping out of that comfort zone. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it is worth it.Today I want to share with you How to Step Outside of Your Comfort Zone. The steps you need to take are based on a very common Venn diagram that displays the 4 zones many of us are in & the path to go from comfort zone to growth zone. We'll go through each zone so you can discover the way out. But please recognize that everyone will move through these zones at different speeds with different difficulties. Please don't compare your journey to others.Comfort Zone: This zone is where you fester in fear. This is your safe space. You know what will & won't happen & feel in control of your life. But with low risk, you have low reward. If you want more you'll need to do more than what's available to you in this zone.Fear Zone: This is your first step outside of your comfort zone. This is where you find any excuse you can to crawl back to your comfort zone because everything is scary & new at the moment. You still lack confidence in this zone because you still aren't sure how things are going to turn out, but hopeful enough to not be in your comfort zone. This is your first step in the right direction. If you are able to move forward from here, the likelihood of you reaching growth is exponential. Learning Zone: This is such a sweet spot because your confidence starts to grow again because you're doing new things, acquiring new skills & it's making you feel good about yourself. You start to face new & more challenges in this zone & learn how to problem-solve. Growth Zone: You have arrived! This is where you feel like you have stepped into your purpose & are actually living out your goals & dreams. You need to recognize how far you have come & even how much further you could go if you realize how believing in yourself & moving forward has helped you get to where you are. This is also the zone where you start setting new goals & try not to get too comfortable where you are now. (This is the fourth column in our six-part series on Understanding the Process of Growth and Change. If you missed one, you can find all of them HERE.) In early 2020 I, (Scott) distinctly remember saying to my work team that I could not ever see myself embracing the idea of working remotely. Being together at the office every day was my comfort zone. It was how I had worked for over thirty years, and therefore it was the only way I could imagine continuing to function. The thought of working remotely was way outside of my comfort zone at that time, and I saw no reason to change. Then the pandemic came, and there went my work comfort zone. No longer able to continue my old familiar patterns, I had no choice except to grow and change. With the help of our open-minded and flexible team, I am happy to say that I have come to enjoy working remotely and have embraced my new online world. I have also learned that some of the things we do, such as training others to use our materials, actually work better online. I love the statement, "Resisting change is like holding your breath; if you succeed, it usually doesn't end well." I like it because it describes how I initially responded to the work disruptions caused by COVID. I held my breath and said to myself, "This can't last very long. Surely I can hold my breath until we return to normal." Obviously, that plan didn't work out so well. I'm breathing easier these days and am grateful that my willingness to step out of my comfort zone regarding work gradually changed, and now I'm luckily breathing more easily while working from home. (In sharing this, I certainly realize how fortunate I am to have a job that could adapt to being online. And my heart goes out to those who have lost their jobs or had to work in extremely trying conditions because of COVID). In our Wellness Compass resources, we teach a model of change that includes three concentric circles. The inner circle is the Comfort Zone, the middle circle is the Growth Zone, and the outermost ring is the Panic Zone. This model reminds us that all growth is, by definition, uncomfortable because it is outside of our current Comfort Zone. It also shows us that sometimes we are thrown out of our Comfort Zone and land in the Panic Zone. That's where I was in terms of my work when the pandemic hit. With time, effort, and support, I eventually moved into the Growth Zone. Growth and change are uncomfortable. Sometimes they can even create feelings of panic. We hope this series on growth and change will help you breathe a little easier the next time you need to adapt to or make a significant change. Making It Personal: 1. When life invites you to change, how do you typically react? 2. Are you in a Panic Zone or Growth Zone right now in your life? Or do you know someone who is? 3. If you answered yes to question two, either for yourself or someone you know, what support do you or they need in order to breathe more easily in the midst of the change?

If you are still living, there is still room to grow, and you grow from challenges. Embrace them and ask yourself “what did I learn from my last challenge?” Oftentimes when life is easy, we aren't growing. Life will hand you challenges or you can choose challenges, but either way it is the challenges that change you into the next version of yourself. Both of them help you face life better in the future. I share in this podcast how the challenges I chose helped me face the challenges that life chose for me. How does real change happen? In this week's episode we dive into the sea of Cs. The C of our A. C. E. gift. The sea is a metaphor for how we really bridged the gap from where we are to where we want to be. The sea is where we become the next version of ourselves. We not only lose the weight, but we learn how to stick with it when the challenges come. We learn how to be consistent when the obstacles come up. And we learn how to stick with it know matter what. I share the four zone that Jon Acuff (acuff.me) shared in his full potientional course. It is the practice, apathy, chaos, and momentum zone. These are the zone that will get us to the other island that we want are trying to get to - the island of ExcelWe will be going over all of these things in more detail in January inside team elevate. In January, most of us will set a bunch of goals. And when we do, a lot of us go all in. We allow ourselves to get super excited about what it will mean to have the goal. How it can change our life. All the things. But soon after, many of us will quit. Research says it's like 27% quit by end of week one. 31% by end of week two. And finally, by the end of the first month, more than 50% of us have quit. Not just quit on our goals but quit on ourselves. I don't know if you can relate to this, but I certainly can. I've quit on a lot of my goals over the years. A LOT. But not all of them. Take this podcast for example. I started it on January 3rd, 2021, and when I started, I promised myself I'd do a new episode every Sunday. And I've done it. In just two weeks, I'll have achieved that goal. But it wasn't easy. I wanted to quit. So. Many. Times. I kept telling myself I didn't have the time. That it was too hard. That it was taking too long to build my audience. That there were other things I “should” be doing with the time I spend on the business. And there's a lot more excuses where that came from. Believe me. I could fill this podcast with my excuses. But I didn't quit. I kept going. Every week. And what I learned is that – no matter what the goal is – the biggest hurdle is mindset. It's about not letting yourself talk yourself out of the goal, out of doing the work, just because it feels a little uncomfortable on occasion. If we want to achieve a new goal, we must overcome the urge to quit. To keep going when we feel scared or uncertain or uncomfortable. To practice the self-command that it takes to stay consistent. Even when it's not fun. Even when you don't have time. Even when there's an unplanned emergency or whatever else is going on.And now, we'll get into today's topic which is The Four Zones of Growth. This series was inspired by an infographic I as I was doing some study on positive psychology, which is one of the key methodologies I use in my coaching practice. This infographic illustrates that the path to growth is divided into four zones.First is the Comfort Zone.Next is the Fear Zone.Following Fear is the Learning Zone. And last is the destination, the Growth Zone. And if you want to see the graphic visual, check out my Instagram or Facebook page today. And by the way, if you're not already doing so, please follow me over there. In all honesty, my social presence has left a lot to be desired this year but THAT just means that it's at the top of the list on my big goals for 2022. So, let's connect because there will be a lot of new goodness coming.Anyway, the Four Zones of Growth is a cool infographic. It instantly changed how I thought about fear and the very real struggle most of us feel when we try new things. And when I viewed growth in this new way – as four zones that we continually move in and out of – it gave me a sense of hope. And it made the fear associated with change seem less permanent. Less scary. Because this new graphic shows it as more a phase we move through and that just past that is the reward which is the excitement and passion that comes with learning new things and growing in ways that are important to you. The graphic is amazing. Head over the Instagram and check it out. I think you'll love it the way I do. Makes change and growth seem so much less scary. So, in this episode, I wanted to define each zone. And what it takes to get to next level growth. And the very real way that our need to feel safe and in control – by being in our comfort zone – prevents us from trying the new things we really want to do in our lives. For more give the episode a listen.

Change is hard, no matter its source. Some types are harder than others. And all types can be life-changing in a positive way. I see three types of change in my clients: You’re starting something new. You’re ready to start that business or embrace a new career or leave your comfortable gig for something else. This type of change involves leaving the Comfort Zone and creating new neural pathways that will support your success. It takes effort. You’re in a phase of growth. You’re accumulating tools and resources to grow personally and professionally. You’re in the Growth Zone. You already have the neurology to go after your goals. You’re building on top of your previous successes -- enriching your relationships, getting to a new level of physical health and strength, taking your business to the next level. When you’re in this phase of change, it’s self-initiated. You choose to grow. You choose to change. You’re forced to change. This is turbulent change. Life happened and you were, to some degree, caught off-guard. Divorce, a death, loss of a job, a breakup, a tragic accident... You didn’t choose this path of change. Life forced it on you. And you’re likely in survival mode. You’re in the Danger Zone. It’s a difficult place to be. But don’t despair. Turbulent change can lead to wonderful personal transformation, and you can get momentum that can propel you to a better place, built on a new, better foundation, one that is aligned with your values and beliefs. How to make the most out of changework, no matter the source? Start right where you are and acknowledge all the scary unknowns. I don’t typically advocate penning down scary stuff because we want to focus on the positive. But there’s a place for acknowledging and even writing down the worst thing that could happen, look at it squarely in the face, and determine if it’s something likely to happen, possibly could happen, or is unlikely to happen. Sometimes this simple exercise reduces a threat to something that is extremely unrealistic or even laughable. Identify opportunities. What are the potentials and possibilities wrapped up in this change? Take a step in the direction you want to go. Take action. Each win, each success will breed more wins and more success as you build your neural framework. I’m not saying it’s easy. But the steps are simple, and you’re worth it. Thanks for listening! (sorry for the confusion part one of this was released a few weeks ago, but there's no connection other than similar topics) Ethan and I talk about growth zones living your perfect life, said principle. Living within our comfort zones, contentment, and why we have to get outside of it. There are always a million reasons not to do something. Moving to Thailand by myself and how hard it was, yet how it was one of the best things I ever did. We talk about looking back at your life from your deathbed, and how everyone has regrets - except a certain group of people, who realized how to live life without regrets. Public speaking and poetry reading for the first time. Why we fear public speaking and how it's never as bad as you think.
Today’s episode looks at John Assaraf’s four stages in the journey toward growth: Comfort Zone, Fear Zone, Learning Zone, and finally Growth Zone. Being in your Comfort Zone might feel familiar and safe because you have control over your situation, but no real growth or change can come from there. Matt and Garrett explain why so many people find themselves stuck in their Comfort Zones, and what they can do about it. The first step is acknowledging what is holding you back, and analyzing your fears to the point where you can push through them to learn new skills. Matt cautions against becoming a Success Zombie, though - only accumulating new knowledge or designations without putting any of it into practice. Real growth can only happen when you take action and set goals that are connected to a purpose. Seeking out motivation, talking ideas out with others, and learning from masters can help lead you away from your Comfort Zone and Fear Zone. Garrett also talks about the inherent nature of making mistakes within the Learning Zone, and reminds us that every failure is a learning opportunity. Matt explains the importance of believing that you can get to the Growth Zone, letting go of excuses, and he and Garrett point out that you don’t have to go through this process by yourself. Surrounding yourself with people who ask more of you will allow you to see things from a different perspective and help push you to the Growth Zone, oftentimes faster than if you had embarked on the journey alone. Episode Highlights: John Assaraf’s The Answer and the idea of moving through your Comfort and Fear Zones into the Learning Zone, then finally to the Growth Zone Comfort Zone is where you feel safe and in control, even if you don’t particularly like the situation you’re in Fear Zone is characterized by a lack of self confidence, finding excuses, letting other people’s opinions affect you First step in to acknowledge what you’re afraid of and analyze what you’re truly concerned about Analyze it to death Seeking out motivation, inspiration, or a guide to help move you out of Comfort and Fear Zones Going back and doing something you understand versus pushing yourself to go learn something new The Fear Zone is internal, which is why speaking to others can help you push through fear into the Learning Zone Getting to the point where you’re open to learning so that you can seek out people to learn from and grow with Learning from masters is key, but you also don’t want to become a Success Zombie and get stuck in the Learning Zone, where you are taking in abundant information without putting any of it into practice Growth happens when you take action Setting new goals should come after Fear Zone - once you’ve moved past your fear, you’re ready to learn and figure out how to achieve them Make sure what you are learning is aligned with specific goals Connecting your goal with a purpose How to tell you’re actually in the Growth Zone versus just thinking you’re there Trial and Error of being in the Learning Zone - not everything will work, but you can’t let that set you all the way back to your Comfort Zone The belief system and not making excuses for why you can’t get to the Growth Zone Take a step back and look at how you can move yourself along this process and come up with a plan Don’t feel like you have to do this alone Quotes: “What is this Fear Zone that stops a lot of people from growing?” “I think Comfort [Zone] - your subconscious mind gets it. It’s comfortable with it. You know it. You know what to expect.” “I think the first thing is acknowledging what you’re afraid of, I think that’s the best way to move kind of through that Fear Zone.” “Analyze it to death.” “Finding somebody that can almost be a guide for you to go through the Fear Zone so that you know you’re not the only one, right? Everybody’s been there. Everybody goes through it.” “There are so many places you can go besides taking a step back and doing something you understand.” “We get a lot of people that...they’re like, Okay, I’m a bit in my Comfort Zone. I know all the stuff that I’m kind of fearful of and now I need help. Now I need something that can kind of get me to the Growth Zone. I think that’s what you need to get through to that Learning Zone, to be open to talking to a master, to talking to somebody that has the knowledge.” “That’s the part of where it shuts you down from being a learner, is if you’re not willing to learn from other masters around you.” “The Growth Zone is finding purpose, living those dreams, setting new goals, conquering objectives. And so all things that have to do with action.” “Once you are breaking through to the Learning Zone, now you can actually have the opportunity to set a goal that has purpose.” “When they get into the Growth...this is where miracles happen. It’s like all of a sudden there are results produced that are beyond what you could have dreamt.” “There is no failure. Every failure is just a learning opportunity.” “At some point you have to trust. Trust leads to belief, and then that’s what’s going to allow you to take action. Because if you don’t believe, then it’s going to be hard to push past the Learning Zone.” “It’s right there in Mastery, to surround yourself with those kinds of people who ask more of you than you do, and that’s going to help push you along this journey.” Links: www.TheNinjaSellingPodcast.com Email us at TSW@TheNinjaSellingPodcast.com Leave a voicemail at (208) MY-NINJA Ninja Selling www.NinjaSelling.com @ninjasellingofficial Ninja Coaching: www.NinjaCoaching.com @ninja.coaching Ninja Events www.NinjaSelling.com/Events Garrett garrett@ninjacoaching.com @ninjaredding Matt matt@ninjacoaching.com @matthewjbonelli The Ninja Selling Podcast Facebook Group John Assaraf’s The Answer
Part 2 of 4 of the Hope Series In this episode of Oh My Heath ... There's HOPE! Jana talks with Mark and Annette Anderson. Annette and Mark have found that living in the moment doesn’t need to be looked at as a destination, but a journey. Sometimes the journey takes a few unexpected detours and turns. How we react to life is a choice. While we can’t always control what happens to or around us, we can control the direction we choose to follow. Our goal is to Inspire, Grow, and Connect. We grow by gaining clarity while accepting that life’s less than perfect moments can be defining moments of learning. Personal and transformative growth should be a collaborative effort that comes from a village of those, not only those looking for hope but those who are willing to offer hope. We can all find joy in life’s journey. Our journeys are often difficult, sometimes unbelievable, but always fulfilling. Join our podcasts as we experience the journey of a lifetime. Get the daily success you deserve! Join MotivationToMove today! One of the most empowering mindsets you can own is knowing that you are never alone in this world. I received an email I wanted to share with you. Hi, Scott - I got something so positive from your message today. You talked about getting out of your comfort zone. I thought that all I have ever wanted was to experience a little Comfort Zone! I realized from today's podcast, people who have enjoyed living in their Comfort Zone have their struggles. It is hard to do scary things when you don't have to. So you stay where you are and feel frustrated. I have had success these last few years, but it has been challenging. I have had to take actions I didn't want to take. Dig deep when all I wanted to do was bury my head in the sand. I wanted a happy, stable life so bad, and it kept me going. With my bad marriage out of my life, selling my big burdensome house, and the bonus of cash in the bank from the sale, I feel a little Comfort Zone on my horizon. And honestly, I am ready. Am I wrong? Isn't the Comfort Zone a completely different place when you have had to fight so hard for it? A new Comfort Zone is not a different place when you fight for it. It's a state where Judith Bardwick said people operate in an anxiety-neutral condition. That's where most people live until you feel the need to change. When that happens, you will feel the need to transition from safe and in control and to something new. First, you enter the Fear Zone. If you keep fighting, you transition to the Learning Zone. Continue to drive yourself, and you will arrive at the Growth Zone. That's where you are now. I've always visualized a Comfort Zone as the bubble I live. As grow and expand, my bubble connects with the bubble next to it. When it does, I arrive in a new safe and in control Comfort Zone. From there, I explore the possibilities of life until I begin the process all over again. Why? Because according to Abraham Maslow's Theory of Human Motivation in 1943, "What a man can be, he must be." I guess we can say you are "musting" right now.
I’m inviting you to plan for your future self while still considering your current self, and this is where the Growth Zone comes in. Deliberately pushing yourself into the Growth Zone is the most compassionate, loving way to embrace the weight loss journey, and it’s truly the recipe for success. There was a distinct lack of motivation in my actions over the past few weeks that was starting to disturb me. We all have three relatively equal "zones" in which we live in our lives. We call these zones the Comfort Zone, the Growth Zone and the Panic Zone. In this brief episode of The Teamwork Advantage, Gregg Gregory shares how critical it is to understand these three zones, recognize when we are moving between zones, and how to grow, as individuals, within them.
We are the crazy ones. We are crazy enough to think we can change the world! If you're looking for a podcast that will push you in the right direction, then you've come to the right place. I will be putting together my experiences and everything I've learned. I invite you all to follow me on my own journey. It doesn't matter if you're in sales, engineering, or even a stay-at-home mom; you all have accomplishments that you want to achieve. In this episode, we talk about the growth moments in life and in business. Most of the time they aren't fun and sometimes really hurt. One saying that has helped me is that there is no comfort in the growth zone and no growth in the comfort zone.

What are the 3 things that business owners can do to maximize their business value? we are going to finish off with … Why is it so important to a business value that has a realistic foundation? We talk to the incredibly intelligent, honest and down to earth (and time-management expert!), Angela Lee, the Chief Innovation Officer and Associate Dean at Columbia Business School and the Founder of 37Angels. 37Angels is an all female investing network that has invested in 50 startups and activates new investors through an investment bootcamp. Angela talked with us about her "shadow careers" and "living in the growth zone". She also gives us great advice on using tools to outsource many brainless tasks and focus on what really matters to move our lives forward. We are thrilled to have Angela on our Council and to share our conversation with her.
