In this Episode Saul and Jolene talk about making a RPG from a computer game.  This was from a question that Saul read online about a father that wanted to make a RPG for his kids that played Destiny 2.  Saul thought he recognized the game and even thought he had the older computer game but he was thinking of Mass Effect 2.  Still Jolene and Saul discussed the trials and tribulations of making your own RPG.        It has been Saul's belief that making your own game would be a big work and time investment.  But a few years ago he saw the show Carnival Row.  He even downloaded a free version that used the Cypher System from Monte Cook Games.  It had a lot of the lore and art from the show but Saul didn't like the Cypher System for this game.  He set to port it to Free Leagues Year Zero Engine.  This was before Free League put out their SRD or their version of the OGL.         And just a couple of months ago Saul wrote up another game based on Year Zero about cuddly animals going on adventures in the spirit of The Wind the the Willows, Watership Down,  Books by Brian Jacques.  Saul wrote it in one day and with a bit of adjustments he made a playable game where he ran two separate adventures.      So it can be done.  Saul and Jolene also talk about writing a RPG with a big IP and whether its worth trying to publish such a RPG game.            Thank you all for Listening      Web Art by Jim Foster      Episode Art by Michael Shean-Jones     Music by Soul Understated, song Gonna Make It,  off the album Unreleased      Available from Tribeofnoise.com     Used Under the Creative Commons License 3.0     https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/

Kent Blazy is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. His credits include several singles for Garth Brooks, as well as singles by Gary Morris, Diamond Rio, Patty Loveless and Chris Young. He has a total of seven number one hits to his credit. In 1982, Gary Morris took "Headed for a Heartache" to number 5 on the charts. In the years that followed other artists, such as The Forrester Sisters, T. Graham Brown, Donna Fargo and Moe Bandy recorded Kent's tunes. In 1987, Kent was introduced to a new demo singer by Bob Doyle, then with ASCAP, soon to be the manager for this emerging talent, Garth Brooks. Garth became Kent's most requested demo singer and Bob Doyle also advised, “Garth writes a little bit too.” The first song Garth and Kent penned together was "If Tomorrow Never Comes" which became the first number one song for both. The friendship and writing partnership continued as Garth included eight more of their songs on his albums. Four more of theirs songs captured the number one slot: "Somewhere Other Than the Night", "Ain't Goin' Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up)", "It's Midnight Cinderella", and "She's Gonna Make It.” Brooks continued to record Blazy's material throughout the 1990s, including the singles “Cold Shoulder” and the George Jones duet “Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?).” He also co-wrote “That's What I Get for Lovin' You” by Diamond Rio and “Can't Get Enough” by Patty Loveless in the late 1990s. Kent's songwriting continues with established writing partnerships, as well as developing partnerships with new writers and artists. Many of his crafted works continue to be recorded by artists such as Diamond Rio, Kenny Chesney, Terri Clark, Clay Walker, Patty Loveless, Julie Roberts, Andy Griggs and Blaine Larsen, a new recording artist on RCA. Kent's latest #1 hit is Gettin' You Home (The Black Dress Song), recorded by Chris Young. Kent also has the title track on Reba's latest CD "All The Women I Am" It's also the name of her tour, tv special and her exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame. We live in a time when it's hard to feel good about the future. Our personal lives are messy, our relationships are complicated, and economic and environmental challenges have rocked our world. Even if we're not struggling with any of these challenges, we may live in a culture that makes it hard to feel good about ourselves or our own lives. It's easy to slide into feelings of "not enough" or "not good enough." But here's the thing: It's not just about how quickly you bounce back from adversity; it's about how resilient you are when life is a mess. Resilience isn't something we're born with; it's something we develop over time through practice. And that means anyone can learn to be more resilient no matter what life throws. In this episode of The His and Her Money Show, we are joined by Daniel Fusco, a pastor, and author of the best-selling book: You're Gonna Make It. His passion is to help people understand God in this messy world. Daniel explains how people can find resilience during hard times. He talks about the story behind the book: You're Gonna Make It, walking with God through adversity, and the character that goes with putting our hope in Jesus to thrive in hardships. He also shares insights on the resilience equation( hope+great=unstoppable resilience) and the pre-work to develop an exemplary character for the hard times. “Deconstruction” has become a buzzword in Christian and secular communities, with the concept meaning different things to many people and, in turn, sparking no shortage of controversy. With some well-known Christian leaders and celebrities renouncing their evangelical faith or, at the least, retracting from it, the social phenomenon of deconstruction has left many with questions about what's causing the dynamic and how much culture is responsible for these deconversions.Dominic Done, author of the book, “Your Longing Has a Name: Come Alive to the Story You Were Made For,” recently told Pastor Daniel Fusco what he believes is driving the phenomenon.“We've got to have conversations about [this],” Done said on a recent episode of Fusco's “You're Gonna Make It” podcast. “There are so many people who are wrestling with their faith, who are struggling with doubt.”The author said some who find themselves deconstructing are most certainly dealing with apologetics issues that can fuel doubt — but he has also found other elements driving deconstruction and moves away from the faith.“One of the things I've learned in our ministry is … many times it is an apologetic issue. They want to know where the Bible comes from or why is there evil and suffering in the world,” Done said. “But nine times out of 10, I'm discovering that what's fueling doubt and deconstruction often is a soul that's weary or disillusioned or struggling.”These struggles might come from a plethora of arenas, with Done adding some have “seen too much in the church” or have become disillusioned by Christianity due to issues happening socially or culturally. “Many times it's a soul issue,” he said. “And so that really encouraged me.”Done said much of the issue comes back to the health and wellness of a person's soul, breaking down the importance of being in a spiritually healthy place.“If our soul is flourishing and healthy, then nothing we go through can destroy us,” he said. “The health of our soul shapes the outcome of our life.”The author said he's hoping “Your Longing Has a Name” helps people find ways to get their souls to flourish, heal, and seek restoration.Done also spoke about the importance of differentiating between healthy doubt and questions of faith and the “cynical deconstruction” that has become a cultural movement of sorts, leading people to abandon churches and their childhood faith.Listen to everything Done had to say on this topic.CONNECT WITH DANIEL FUSCO:- Follow Daniel on Facebook- Follow Daniel on Instagram- Follow Daniel on Twitter

How do we manage money and giving? While money can be a powerful tool for advancing the Kingdom, the truth is: many people struggle with balancing, understanding, and properly using it.Author, blogger, and podcaster Bob Lotich takes a "deeply biblical" approach to helping Christians understand finances. He's the author of "Simple Money, Rich Life: Achieve True Financial Freedom and Design a Life of Eternal Impact," and he joins Daniel Fusco this week to reveal how a financial breaking point in his own life led him on a biblical path to helping others. "God I need help," he recalled saying years ago after he found himself struggling financially. "If you have another plan, I want to hear it."Lotich started exploring Scripture and pouring over Proverbs, a book he said is a rich source of financial wisdom."I opened the Bible and found out, 'Whoa, the Bible talks a lot about money," he said. Listen to Lotich talk about everything from giving to using money as a tool to advance the Gospel on this powerful episode of "You're Gonna Make It."CONNECT WITH DANIEL FUSCO:- Follow Daniel on Facebook- Follow Daniel on Instagram- Follow Daniel on Twitter

"You will find some of our friends with Aspbergers, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral palsy, you name it, serving on the front lines, greeting people, hospitality, working in the cafe," he said. In the premiere episode, Fusco guides listeners on how to walk through times of uncertainty, and breaks down the perils of worry."God knows that we're apt to worry. God knows that we're worry warts," Fusco said. "The problem with worry is, worry is functional atheism. When we worry, we act like God isn't in control, [like] He's not the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords."He continued, "We [act like we] don't believe that all things will work together for good ... When we choose to trust God, we're also abandoning worry."Listen to Fusco break it all down!CONNECT WITH DANIEL FUSCO:- Follow Daniel on Facebook- Follow Daniel on Instagram- Follow Daniel on Twitter

His credits include several singles for Garth Brooks, as well as singles by Gary Morris, Diamond Rio, Patty Loveless and Chris Young. Blazy has a total of seven number one hits to his credit. Kent Blazy was raised in Lexington, Kentucky. At an early age, he played rhythm guitar and sang in various local bands, citing The Byrds, Rodney Crowell and Joe Ely as influences. He later played for Canadian singer Ian Tyson. Later on, Blazy met former Exile member Mark Gray, who suggested that Blazy move to Nashville, Tennessee. Eventually, he signed to a publishing contract, but the publishing company closed; despite the loss of contract, Gary Morris sent Blazy's "Headed for a Heartache" into the top 5 on the country charts. By the late 1980s, Blazy met with a then-unknown Garth Brooks, who gave him the idea for a song entitled "If Tomorrow Never Comes." He and Brooks co-wrote the song, which went on to become Brooks' first number one hit. Brooks continued to record Blazy's material throughout the 1990s, including the singles "Ain't Goin' Down ('Til the Sun Comes Up)," "It's Midnight Cinderella," "She's Gonna Make It," "Somewhere Other Than the Night" and the George Jones duet "Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?)." He also co-wrote "That's What I Get for Lovin' You" by Diamond Rio and "Can't Get Enough" by Patty Loveless in the late 1990s. Blazy, along with songwriters Pat Alger, Tony Arata and Kim Williams, recorded an album entitled A Songwriters' Tribute to Garth Brooks, which included their renditions of songs that they had written for Brooks. This album was released in 2001 via VFR Records. Other songs that Blazy has co-written include "You Can Let Go" by Crystal Shawanda and "Gettin' You Home (The Black Dress Song)" by Chris Young from 2008 and 2009 respectively, as well as American Idol season 8 finalist Danny Gokey's debut single "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me."Intro music artist credit: Short Guitar Clip by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Artist: http://audionautix.com/

Suena extraordinario. El prensaje español también lo es. We talk about the nature and spectrum of small to extreme disturbances on the land We look at how disturbance can be a good thing in some situations and bad in others We talk about some of our favorite areas and some of the plants and animals we noticed We talk about our intent to walk slower and observe the land more intimately We talk about the zen of Beaver, and what we thought about when encountering extreme disturbances on the land by Beavers we speak to walking within the context of colonialization we talk about our culture shock in tourist towns Support the podcast on Patreon to contribute to our grassroots self-funding of this project.  Support the Ground Shots Project with a one time donation via Paypal at: paypal.me/petitfawn   Our website with backlog of episodes, plant profiles, travelogue and more: http://www.ofsedgeandsalt.com  Our Instagram page @goldenberries Join the Ground Shots Podcast Facebook Group to discuss the episodes Subscribe to our newsletter for updates on the Ground Shots Project Theme music: 'Sweat and Splinters' by Mother Marrow Additional music: ‘We're Gonna Make It' by Dunkin Hardee, recorded on the Colorado Trail Hosted by: Kelly Moody Produced by: Kelly Moody and Opia Creative we speak more on re-thinking ‘a war' on certain plants and how plants respond to the circumstances at hand we reflect on how putting lines on the land like ‘wilderness boundaries' can affect ecology we talk about questioning concepts of ‘pristine wilderness'
