I get this question all the time. What would I do if I had to build a personal brand from scratch in one year? In today's episode, I'm sharing the seven habits that would catapult my personal brand to seven figures if I had just one year to start from scratch. I'll walk you through what I believe it takes to build an authentic, profitable brand. While I've built multiple brands over the years, one thing remains constant: consistency. The habits I'm about to share are the exact actions I've taken to shift my mindset, grow my visibility, and keep my audience engaged. These habits will help you become the person you need to be to stand confidently in front of your audience and grow a personal brand in a way that feels like second nature. If you're serious about growth, start putting these into action today. Listen to the full episode to learn how you can start making progress toward your personal or business branding goals. Apologies to our listeners using Apple Podcasts - an upload snafu caused you to get a repeat of last week's episode. Here's this week's One Year! It's malaise time—or is it? This week, Alex, Cam, Tyler, and Beck choose their top five vehicles from the model year 1980 in an impromptu, nearly unprepped episode. Spoiler alert: you've heard Tyler talk about bikes, but it's a widely known "secret" around the halls of BaT that his taste in cars is...well, weird. The crew talk about their surprisingly fun research, skin-deep beauty, and the wide variety of cultural ways in which 1980 was a transitional periodThey also narrowly avoid a prolonged version of the usual "what is a supercar" debate; slightly cheat with Euro cars; spend a surprising amount of time on the Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trail Duster; stump Alex (again) but allow him out of perpetual loserhood; talk about the various trips one might take in a Vanagon; discovered all sorts of eagles glee; recount a worse "learning to drive stick" story than most of you have, thankfully; and take an unexpected but welcome diversion into the land (sea?) of Boston Whaler center consoles.Mentioned in this episode:8:42 Ex-Steve McQueen 1952 Chevrolet 3800 Pickup with Camper and Husqvarna CR2509:45 Ex-Steve McQueen bikes on BaT17:42 1980 BMW M121:33 1980 Honda CBX Super Sport and 29-Years-Owned 1980 Honda CBX Super Sport23:36 Euro 1980 Porsche 930 Turbo26:34 1980 Ferrari 512 BB28:34 1980 Ferrari 308 GTBi30:04 1980 Plymouth Trail Duster31:56 1978 Dodge Ramcharger Top Hand 4×432:31 Dodge Ramcharger / Plymouth Trail Duster model page34:04 Ex-CHP 1982 Dodge Ramcharger 4×435:07 One-Family-Owned 1980 Volkswagen Scirocco S 5-Speed38:50 Single-Family-Owned 1980 Porsche 911SC Coupe Weissach43:05 Euro 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.945:00 1980 Cadillac Seville52:31 1979 Ford Pinto Wagon 4-Speed52:47 Time Machine: A Success Story in Motion from BaT and Pennzoil53:38 1980 Ford Pinto Rallye Pack Wagon 4-Speed56:01 1980 AMC Eagle 2-Door Sedan58:03 1979 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle 4-Speed1:01:12 1980 GL 4WD - US Ski Team Wagon1:04:07 1980 Mercedes-Benz 280GE Cabriolet 4-Speed1:06:44 8k-Mile 1980 Ford Mustang McLaren M-811:10:03 1984 Zimmer Golden Spirit Classic1:12:23 Single-Family-Owned 1986 Boston Whaler Montauk 17′ Project1:14:28 Porsche 935 K31:21:20 V8-Powered 1980 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV 5-Speed1:24:38 1980 Toyota Celica RA45 GT2000 RallyGot suggestions for our next guest from the BaT community, One Year Garage episode, or (B)aT the Movies subject? How to Trade Stocks and Options Podcast by 10minutestocktrader.com
Are you looking to save time, make money, and start winning with less risk? Then head to https://www.ovtlyr.com.What does it actually look like to take 37,000 trades in a year… and still finish with a 230% return? In this conversation, Forte opens up about what high-level scalping really demands. Not the highlight reel. Not the rented supercar narrative. The real, gritty version that includes drawdowns, emotional mistakes, and constant adaptation. At 29 years old, Forte finished sixth in the U.S. Investing Championship with a verified 230% return in a single year. His focus? Ultra-fast scalps in U.S. equities, often holding positions for under 60 seconds. Some days it's 200 trades. Other days it's 600. Fully manual execution. Tight risk. No autopilot. What makes this powerful is the transparency. There's honest talk about taking a 40% drawdown. About hesitating on exits. About how even after years in the market, emotional discipline can slip for a moment and cost real money. The discussion goes deep into studying Market Wizards, Jesse Livermore, and why reading about other traders blowing up might be the fastest way to avoid doing it yourself.Inside this conversation:✅ Why stocks trending up on the daily chart are easier to scalp✅ How position sizing expands only when a real edge appears✅ Why two losing months can still be completely normal✅ The myth of consistent monthly income from trading✅ How mental resilience separates average traders from competitorsOne theme stands out. There is no timeless strategy. Markets evolve. Edges fade. What worked last year might stop next month. The only constant is discipline, adaptability, and cutting losses without hesitation.Forte also shares insights on execution costs, liquidity traps, illiquid stocks, and the psychological pressure of competing publicly with verified results. If you're serious about day trading, scalping, and building a durable edge in the stock market, this conversation will challenge how you think about consistency, risk, and long-term survival.Watch it all the way through. The depth hits differently when it comes from someone actively in the arena.Subscribe to OVTLYR for disciplined trading strategies that actually make sense.

It's a panel discussion on the podcast today as Dr. Scott Waller, Dr. Matt Van Hook and Dustin Steeve rejoin the podcast to unpack the arguable normal first year of Trump 2.0 despite the consequential vibes. Bottom line, despite movement on key campaign promises with measurable results, Waller notes that the Trump administration's first year is something of a “normal” presidency, and Van Hook makes the point that what makes it feel consequential is that the Biden administration was just so poor in its execution that “normal” presidential behavior makes it seem extreme. Steeve underscores that point by unpacking the extent of the Biden administration's dereliction of duty on immigration, in particular. With the midterm election cycle taking shape and voters registering some displeasure with the economy and the handling of immigration, my guests all agree that the Trump administration has leaned into doing the hard work of governing, even if it means short term pain in the approval ratings, a posture for which we give the Trump administration high marks, even as we wait to see how a lot of these efforts play out.Subscribe to Tim Talks Politics on Substack for the full show notes (30% off for podcast listeners)!

Erica started High Five Ceramics just over a year ago and in her first year in business, she went from “brand new” to booked out fast. She hit her revenue goal, booked 560 appointments and was highly visible in her community through pop-up shops and markets. This created the kind of local demand that forced her to hire help and expand her space sooner than she expected. In this episode, Erica breaks down what actually drove that momentum (spoiler: it wasn't doing it alone), and the behind-the-scenes lessons that helped her grow fast without burning out.In this episode you'll learn:How Erica managed the fear of growing too fast and the simple ways she controls demand locally so her calendar stays full without becoming overwhelmed. The collaboration strategy that helped her tap into other local businesses' audiences and get seen by thousands of people in her city. The market learning curve that took her from zero sales at her first market to booking 40 appointments... plus what she changed in her setup, messaging, and offer to make events actually convert.Mentioned in this episode:Work with me inside The Localpreneur AcademyFollow me on Instagram @lesliepresnallDownload my Free Guide: How To Grow Your Local Instagram FollowingFollow Erica on Instagram at @highfive_ceramics and Facebook at High Five CeramicsVisit High Five Ceramics' WebsiteIf you're ready to grow your local business and bring in a steady stream of clients, you need to check out The Localpreneur Academy. A wildfire can take your house in minutes. What it can't take—if you fight for it—is your ability to choose what comes next. We open up about losing our Altadena home in the Eaton Fire, the chaotic evacuation with two poodles and two cats, and the gritty, unglamorous path to rebuilding when Parkinson's is part of daily life. From “well begun is half done” to letting go of what can burn, this conversation moves from shock to action, and from paperwork to purpose. We break down the steps that turned grief into motion: hiring an architect and contractor within weeks, surviving a nine-month “fast-tracked” permit maze, and navigating two rounds of temporary housing that taught us what accessibility really means. The details matter—no-step entries, wide halls, curbless showers, reachable storage, induction cooking, and lighting that respects tired eyes. These choices aren't luxuries; they're the difference between conserving strength for what you love and spending it on doorways and drawers. There's a human core to all of it: what you grab when time collapses, how you forgive yourself for what stays behind, and why presence beats perfection. Along the way, there's real joy—road trips to reconnect, an Iceland photo that placed in a juried show, and the launch of Faces of Parkinson's, Volume Two. Community shows up too, from neighbors repurposing historic homes to friends who keep asking the right questions. If you're staring down big change, here's a roadmap built from fire and faith: start sooner than you feel ready, design for the body you have and the future you can't predict, and keep space for art, pets, and laughter. What does it feel like to work professionally as an artist for 23 years but still feel like you're treading water? In this episode of Art Problems, I speak with Boston-based artist Yuko Oda about joining Netvvrk just over a year ago after graduating from RISD in 2002 and spending two decades feeling confused about her trajectory. She was saying yes to everything, spreading herself too thin, and missing opportunities she should have seized—like a group show in Tokyo where she wasn't happy with the work she submitted. In just over a year, Yuko sold her first major piece directly to a collector, secured a three-piece commission for a downtown Boston high-rise, exhibited work in Rome that she calls her best art experience ever, and learned to set boundaries that protect her momentum. We talk about overcoming hesitation to invest in yourself, how accountability groups helped navigate everything from invoices to artist-consultant contract splits, and what it feels like to finally know where you are on your career path instead of floating like a bubble. In this episode, recorded a few weeks before our Denver trip, Bradshaw shares about reaching his one-year sober milestone. We talk about it all — the struggles that led him to drinking, what shifting away from alcohol looked like, how friends can truly support someone in recovery, and the tools that have helped him stay sober. We even reflect on retreats and running a business before and after drinking, and what has changed along the way.Giana steps into more of an interviewer role, creating space for Bradshaw to share openly, and he does so with honesty and vulnerability. This conversation is real, sensitive, and deeply human. If you or someone you love is navigating addiction, please know you're not alone. There are many paths and tools available, and we hope this episode helps you feel supported. And if you're the friend walking alongside someone in recovery, we hope this offers insight into how individual and personal that journey can be.Join us in celebrating Bradshaw's one-year anniversary, and thank you for listening with an open heart.Want to support our podcast? Jim Peeler lives in Hickory, a small city in North Carolina's foothills. He and his wife, Diana, have two adult children who both live in the mountains of western NC, and one grandson. Jim is a financial controller for a logistics company.Jim has just passed his two-year anniversary of fasting on February 1, 2026. This past year, Jim has completed his first year of maintenance and offers great insight in this episode. Now 65 years old, Jim has struggled with weight issues at least since the 5th grade of elementary school, at theage of ten. He has lost hundreds of pounds over the years, using various methods, but has always regained even more once the diet ended. The hope is that intermittent fasting will hold the key to finally losing significant weight for good. Looking back, Jim realises that over his life he had reached a tipping point roughly every 10 years that prompted him to start a serious weight-loss attempt, with numerous attempts in between that never lasted very long. Jim was successful at losing weight in these serious attempts, shedding more and more pounds each time, but the diet rollercoaster led him to heavier weights with each try until he reached a maximum weight of 245 pounds in late 2018. And at only 5 feet, 4 inches, he was seriously morbidly obese. Through 2019 and 2020, he successfully reached150 pounds through calorie reduction and walking, but by 2024, he had once again risen to 215 pounds following a job change and the loss of his mother, among other stressful situations. He had heard of intermittent fasting some time before, but had never seriously considered it until he decided to give it a try in February 2024. Since then, he has lived a fasting lifestyle and is on the path to long-term maintenance, thanks to intermittent fasting. Graeme's Links to connect with me directly. Can your business make a million in one year? Most people will say no. Not because it's impossible, but because they're thinking about it the wrong way. Making your first $1 Million is not about hustle. It's not about stacking side projects. It's not about 14 income streams and burnout disguised as ambition. It's about leverage.Leverage over effort.Outcomes over deliverables.Focus over distraction. If your income is tied directly to your time, you're capped. If you're solving small problems, you're paid small money. If you're scattered across too many offers, too many audiences, too many channels, you're diluted. The path to $1 Million requires three uncomfortable shifts:Obsess over leverage, not effort.Solve a $10 Million problem to earn $1 Million.Go narrower to go bigger with one flagship offer, one defined buyer, and one primary distribution engine. This episode also confronts the uncomfortable truth about wealth: if it costs you your family, your health, or your identity, that's not success. That's ego dressed up as ambition. The real question becomes this: " If you had to build a $1 Million business with only one offer, one audience, and one channel… what would you choose?"Your answer will reveal everything...What You'll Learn:Why leverage beats effort if you want real scaleHow to reverse-engineer $1 Million without the hustle trapThe “solve a $10 Million problem” mindset shiftWhy outcomes sell and deliverables get negotiated downHow focus becomes your unfair advantage when discomfort hitsThe one-offer, one-audience, one-channel test that clarifies everythingHow to build recurring revenue while protecting your energyBeyond The Episode Gems:Buy My Book, Strategize Up: The Blueprint To Scale Your Business: StrategizeUpBook.comDiscover All Podcasts On The HubSpot Podcast NetworkGet Free HubSpot Marketing Tools To Help You Grow Your BusinessGrow Your Business Faster Using HubSpot's CRM PlatformListen to My First Million on the HubSpot Podcast NetworkSupport The Podcast & Connect With Troy: Rate & Review iDigress: iDigress.fm/ReviewsFollow Troy's Socials @FindTroy: LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, TikTokSubscribe to Troy's YouTube Channel For Strategy Videos & See Masterclass EpisodesNeed Growth Strategy, A Keynote Speaker, Or Want To Sponsor The Podcast? Can you believe it? We are officially one year into The Work podcast! It's been exactly a year since we dropped our first episode on Valentine's Day 2025, and what a ride it's been. This show started as a creative outlet and a way to give you guys real-time updates, and the support from this community has been incredible. In today's episode, we're diving into some "gym talk" rants and observations from the week. We touch on the strange culture of negativity on social media—specifically the "venom" found on platforms like Threads—and why it seems like people are looking for any reason to be offended. We also get into a pretty candid conversation about the state of masculinity today, the "warrior poet" concept, and why self-imposed hardship is necessary to build character.I also give a (possibly final) update on my high-fiber experiment. I went from 5 grams to nearly 35 grams of fiber a day this month, and the results... well, they weren't what the "experts" promised. From systemic inflammation to feeling like a 97-year-old man, I'm breaking down why I might be calling it quits on the veggies to get back to peak performance before our upcoming Tough Mudder. In this episode:One Year Anniversary: Reflecting on a year of recording and why most podcasts don't make it past episode three. The "Threads" Phenotype: Why certain social media platforms become breeding grounds for negativity and victim mentality. The Devolved Man: Our take on the current dating pool, the lack of "capable" men, and why you need both a hard and soft side to be well-rounded.The Fiber Update: How 30g of fiber and increased carbs impacted my inflammation, sleep, and training recovery.Abundance vs. Scarcity: My new strategy for the building phase—eating to satiety and simply doing more rather than cutting back.Minnesota Trip Recap: A look at the massive Los Campeones gym and the "Conquer Convenience" giveaway.Sunday is the final day to enter our massive Conquer Convenience Giveaway (valued at over $6,500!). In this episode, I sit down with singer-songwriter CJ Hooper to talk about building songs—and confidence—as an independent artist without rushing the process. We dig into how moving from Texas to Washington shaped his musical perspective, and why honest, story-driven country music seems to resonate no matter where you live.CJ and I talk about releasing Over Yonder, his second album just a year after his debut, and the surprisingly self-confronting experience of hearing your own voice back in the studio. We also get into early cassette-tape influences, playing in a band with musicians decades older than him, cutting his teeth at open mics, and slowly figuring out how his original songs want to live in the world. It's a conversation about patience, craft, and letting the work grow naturally—one song at a time.Music from the Episode:Burn it Down (CJ Hooper)Lookie Over Yonder (CJ Hooper)Rain Song (CJ Hooper)Thank you for listening. Are you in the middle of a storm you didn't ask for? Divorce. Sickness. Emotional stress. There is hope for you. In this episode of Chosen By Jesus, Kelley and Taylor Tyan speak to the woman who is carrying more than she ever expected and quietly wondering how to stay grounded when life feels unsteady. Storms don't mean your faith is weak. They reveal how deep your roots are. This conversation explores the difference between emotional faith and anchored faith—and why anchored faith doesn't stop storms, but it does stop drifting. You'll be reminded that faith doesn't remove pressure, but it steadies us in the middle of it. ⸻ In this episode, we talk about: • Why dark seasons don't ask permission • How pressure exposes what's underneath • Why faith steadies us instead of removing storms • What you return to when overwhelmed—and why it matters • How small, daily spiritual rhythms build deep roots ⸻ Scripture referenced: Hebrews 6:19 Jeremiah 17:7–8 Isaiah 40:31 Romans 15:13 ⸻ Anchors don't stop waves. They stop drifting. Storms will come—but rooted women don't drift. They stand. ⸻ PRAYER FOR THOSE IN A STORM Divorce • Sickness • Stress Lord, For the one listening in the middle of a storm they didn't ask for—be their refuge. For the one navigating divorce, bring wisdom, peace, and protection. For the one facing sickness, bring strength, comfort, and hope. For the one under emotional stress, bring rest to their mind and calm to their body. Remind them they are not drifting. They are being held. Give them courage for today—not the whole journey, just today. Help them stay planted, even when the wind is strong. Chris Cuomo delivers a one-year report card on Donald Trump's second term, grading the presidency category by category based on what Americans are actually experiencing. From immigration enforcement and civil rights to the economy, foreign policy, and the country's overall sense of stability, Cuomo lays out where the administration delivered, where it fell short, and where the consequences have been unmistakable. Cuomo argues that Trump identified issues with broad public support — border enforcement, cost of living, projecting strength — but repeatedly undermined those advantages through escalation, rhetoric, and governing by provocation. He explains how immigration became a political loser despite majority support for enforcement, why tariffs and manufactured chaos haven't helped everyday Americans, and how the administration keeps turning momentum into self-inflicted damage. The analysis also digs into radicalization, outrage-driven media, and why politics increasingly resembles performance instead of leadership. Cuomo closes with a blunt question at the one-year mark: is this presidency making life better for most Americans — or simply louder, harsher, and more divided?
