Tracy Christian is the founder and head designer for luxury plus size clothing line, Sante Grace. She'd been working in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years as an agent and usually had to create her own apparel for events like Cannes, Oscar parties etc. After designing her own wardrobe for so long she figured that there must be other plus size professional women in similar situations and created Sante Grace which launched during the pandemic in Los Angeles. The line is famous for its almost exclusive use of luxury textiles like cashmeres and silks (which is unusual for plus size clothing). https://www.facebook.com/SanteGraceOfficial https://www.instagram.com/santegrace/ https://www.tiktok.com/@santegrace https://santegrace.com/ Catch new episodes of the CayVin Universe every week on YouTube and all audio apps! |The Squanchy Show & Bonus content https://www.patreon.com/cayvin |Merch (CayVin.com) https://cayvinuniverse.square.site/

Love should last all year, not just on Valentine's Day!We'll talk about a surprise wedding in New Orleans over Mardi Gras, with a very surprise marriage "officiant". Our friend's nuptials remind us that love can be as simple as it is profound, and even more so when wrapped in the spontaneous joy of a Mardi Gras celebration. We'll share Kristi's exhilarating experience of officiating their ceremony. As Producer Reagan joins the mic for the first time, we explore what the Five Love Languages mean for different people, and for both men and women, whether it's through a handwritten card, or a visit to a food kitchen or nursing home, and how recognizing and embracing these diverse languages of love isn't just about chocolate and fondue. We explore the empowerment that comes from boudoir photography, demonstrating how self-love can also be powerful in our lives. Join us for stories that celebrate love in all its forms and the simple acts that make it all the more special.00:00 - Start00:20- Valentine's Day "BS" 02:06 - Mardi Gras in New Orleans 03:24 - Surprise Wedding, and Kristi's Surprise Role 05:00 - A little "ordination bureaucracy" 07:09 - You need a wedding cake 09:52 - The Ceremony, and Usher 14:40 - The five love languages, and Alissa's Grandma20:34 - The love of family and tribe23:52 - Confidence and self-love with Boudoir Artistry26:51 - Body Empowerment for Women29:15 - Simple gifts31:08 - If it's important, write me a letter 34:17 - Wednesday's Guest - So you've got talent?
The Making of Moon Man“So, as we started talking and going through what this could look like. I run a creator-owned superhero universe at Image Comics called the Massive-Verse, which is spearheaded by the main book I write called Radiant Black. I like to describe it as it's like Power Rangers with adult problems. It's very contemporary kind of reimaginings of superhero storytelling for the 2020s. So in that context, talking about what any type of new superhero and, in this case, what a new black superhero in 2024 could look like, what the threats would be, what the world might look like if it's maybe not even five minutes in the future. I would argue it's like two and a half minutes in the future. And then what kind of really complex, emotionally layered journey we could put this character through?”Kyle Higgins is an Eisner award-nominated #1 New York Times best-selling comic book author and award-winning filmmaker known for his work on DC Comics' Batman titles as well as his critically-acclaimed reinventions of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for Boom! “When I was younger, I used to draw all the time, so cartoons, comic books, anything visual just got me really quickly when I was younger. And I wanted to be a cartoonist up until I was 14, 15. And then I had this idea to be a rapper, but animation cartoons, these were things that I was super passionate about. It's something that never changed throughout my life. You know, as I grew older, I still had an interest in comics. I still had an interest in animation. And reading comics as a kidas a lot of my fans know, this Moon Man thing has been kind of my theme from the very beginning. And I think it wasn't until my fourth album, Indicud, where I really started to conjure up a world where this Moon Man character existed. A couple years ago, it kind of got to this point where I was like, man, this is something that I want to actually bring to life. And I thought telling it in comic form would be the best way. Karina, you mentioned Kyle, and I just did my research, and I was like, ‘Yes, he's the guy!' You know, it was like a no-brainer. The irony is that now so many of those science fiction stories have probably been used to feed the AI training algorithms that they are now repurposing and ripping off. So it's very ironic in that regard to me. I've heard artists refer to AI as a plagiarism machine, and I do think that's a very apt descriptor. I have a lot of friends who are affected by this. And these tech companies think if we can make it easier and cheaper to capture some aspect of the human spirit and then, by God, isn't that best for shareholders?” -Kyle Higginsmoonmancomics.com https://imagecomics.comhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm3556462/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1www.creativeprocess.infowww.oneplanetpodcast.orgIG www.instagram.com/creativeprocesspodcastAudio of Scott Mescudi courtesy of Mad Solar and Moon Man Comic Book Release and Revenge Of (Eagle Rock, CA, Jan 31, 2024)

Today's episode is the third part from my conversation with my agent from Buchwald Talent in LA. Marion came by and spoke to our virtual 10,000 NOs Insiders Community on one of our monthly VIP Zooms and the reaction to her our first two episodes from this convo (What Talent Agents Are Looking for In An Actor and Help Me Help You) were so well received that we cut this together to glean some more gems from her perspective. Marion points out that you don't need to be a social media influencer to be an actor (two very different things), gives some tips on giving a good meeting with an agent or manager, and covers many other topics in answering our members' questions in the Q & A portion of our talk. If you're an actor, I highly recommend. As with most of our guests who have, by now, found a foothold in this industry, hearing Pej's warmth, humility and grit is refreshing and yet another reminder that we are not alone in our struggles to get to the point where we are being paid to work on great material with great collaborators in this game of professional make-believe.10,000 NOs podcast is now in it's 2.0 phase: after a long pause from late 2021 to late 2023, it has returned in a more raw format: shorter episodes, like the Monday Morsels of yesteryear (they may be short, solo riffs by Matt on central themes of the pod, excerpts from Matt's 10,000 NOs Insiders Community Zooms, or excerpts from Insiders VIP sessions with VIPs from the entertainment interview and beyond). Be on the look out as, every now and then, we will likely drop some old school, long-form, classic 10,000 NOs interviews as bonus episodes. Prefer to WATCH (versus listen)? We aim to educate & inspire you with stories and conversations with others who have traveled a path that may look enviable now, but it was not always that way. It is not the critic who counts. If you've been knocked down... get up, dust yourself off, and get back in the arena. This one is a must-listen for actors. Talent Agent Marion Campbell of Buchwald Talent in Los Angeles, who joined us as one of our monthly Guest VIP Zoom calls with the 10,000 NOs Insiders Community, advises our actor-members on their approach to handling, and pursuing, representatives. Much of her advice comes down to a few tenets: know yourself, know the business, know your place within the business, and then figure out, and express to your agent, what kinds of material, roles and collaborators you want to pursue. And, as promised, here is the link to our past episode from 2021 with Marion: What Are Talent Agents Looking For in an Actor10,000 NOs podcast is now in it's 2.0 phase: after a long pause from late 2021 to late 2023, it has returned in a more raw format: shorter episodes, like the Monday Morsels of yesteryear (they may be short, solo riffs by Matt on central themes of the pod, excerpts from Matt's 10,000 NOs Insiders Community Zooms, or excerpts from Insiders VIP sessions with VIPs from the entertainment interview and beyond).
