In 2022, Lady Gaga embarked on The Chromatica Ball – a stadium tour featuring a stage that Gaga herself referred to as her "museum of brutality." Three years later, this idea of a brutalist enshrining of all things Monster can come to represent her new studio album MAYHEM. Over the course of fourteen tracks, Gaga is "unafraid to reference or not reference," invoking not just the pop weirdos of a past era like Prince and Bowie, but also her contemporaries, in this gothic and chaotic web of a record. This episode of Switched On Pop, Little Monster-in-residence Reanna takes Charlie and Nate on a tour through the Gaga-seum, showcasing Gaga's ability to pay tribute to her inspirations, her imitators, and her biggest icon: herself. I think it's pretty obvious that one of the biggest stars in my galaxy is the legendary (lovers) Katy Perry. She's rumored to be dropping new music any day now and I am beyond excited. I watched the Chromatica Ball this weekend on MAX and I suggest that everyone watch it. Watch it with the best surround sound that money can buy. It was edited and produced by our living queen, Lady Gaga. Gaga also hinted that she has new music on the horizon. This year has been an absolute feast in the music industry and I am thriving. Someone who is not thriving right now is Nicki Minaj. She was arrested in Amsterdam over the weekend and had to cancel her show in Manchester. Sean Kingston probably isn't singing to beautiful girls right now seeing as he is also in police custody for alleged fraud. A person who should be arrested right now is one of the security guards at the Cannes Film Festival for harassing and shoving other women on the red carpet. Our educated queen, Bridgit Mendler, has graduated Harvard Law school adding to her roster of talents and degrees. Miley Cyrus will be on the new season of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. In the preview she talks about what it was like to audition and play the pop sensation superstar, Hannah Montana. Another star, Chris Hemsworth, was honored with a star on the Walk Of Fame over the weekend. The new season of the Kardashians has started and it's giving Keeping Up with the Kardashians energy, which I am obsessed with. And lastly, Celine Dion has a documentary coming out about the struggles and challenges she is facing with her rare sickness, Stiff Person Syndrome. Thanks for listening!

Fashions biggest night was kind of a snooze fest this year. Womp womp. There's been a shake up in the Eras Tour, Taylor added Troubled Poets Department to her setlist and I have major FOMO. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has started filming and they have added a few new faces to the lineup. Roar has reached 4 billion views on YouTube, the most watched female music videos of all time. Lady Gaga will add the Chromatica Ball the concert movie to MAX on May 25th. Tiffany Haddish has a new memoir coming out about her career in Hollywood. It's called I CURSE YOU WITH JOY. Travis Kelce will act in a new Ryan Murphy show called Grotesqurie. Pregnancy is in the air, Hilary Duff just had a baby girl and Hailey Bieber announced that she is pregnant. And lastly Amazon has green lit a sequel to Red White and Royal Blue. Thanks for listening!
Lady Gaga has a new concert special coming to MAX and Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are teaming back up for a new show.

We're back with two very different musicals to review in this episode. First up we review the new London production of Sister Act, starring Beverly Knight and Jennifer Saunders; followed by a much smaller and weirder musical, the spiritual prequel to one of our favourite musicals Urinetown, Yeast Nation at The Southwark Playhouse. We also discuss Lady Gaga's Chromatica Ball, and make heavenly Bloody Marys inspired by Sister Act. --Opening/Closing Music: Little Lily Swing by Tri-Tachyonis: licensed under a CC Attribution License
