Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 27ú lá de mí Dheireadh Fómhair, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1978 saolaíodh bean ceathrairíní sa tír agus tháinig sé amach go raibh sé rud speisialta mar ag an am níor tharla sé seo an iomarca. Dúirt an bhean bhí an bhreith go breá. I 2006 dhearbhaigh Aer Lingus an oíche roimhe go mbeadh gearradh siar ar bpost chun airgead a shábháil agus gan a bheith I gcomórtas le Ryanair. I 2001 bhí agóid ag bunscoil Bishop Harty I Ballinree chun aird a tharraingt ar na bail uafásach a bhí ann. Bhí mic léinn agus tuismitheoirí ann le rudaí scríofa ar plaiceard. Bhí páistí ann chomh hóg le cúig bliana ag rá nach raibh siad sásta leis na bail uafásach a bhí ann. I 2009 bhí plean nua ag teacht chun cinn I gcóir áis iontach do spórt, fóillíocht agus siamsaíocht. Tháinig sé amach go mbeadh sé ar shuíomh 800 acra I nDurlas. Leis an chostas de 460 milliúin euro – tháinig sé amach go mbeadh a lán rudaí eile ann cosúil le ráschúrsa, casaíne, óstán agus a lán rudaí eile. Chomh maith tháinig sé amach go mbeadh atógáil den White House. Sin My Chemical Romance le Welcome To The Black Parade – an t-amhrán is mó ar an lá seo I 2006. Ag lean ar aghaidh le nuacht cheoil ar an lá seo I 2006 tháinig Amy Winehouse amach lena dara halbam Back To Black agus bhí sé seo a albam deireanach. I 2007 mháirseáil Keith Richards leis an lucht agóide a raibh ag agóid I gcoinne gearradh siar san ospidéal I Sussex. Agus ar deireadh breithlá daoine cáiliúla ar an lá seo rugadh Kelly Osbourne sa Bhreatain I 1984 agus rugadh aisteoir John Cleese sa Bhreatain ar an lá seo I 1939 agus seo chuid de na rudaí a rinne sé. Beidh mé ar ais libh amárach le heagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo. Welcome back to another edition of Ar An Lá Seo on the 27th of October, with me Lauren Ní Loingsigh 1978: Ireland's one in a million mother rested contentedly and said the birth of her qauds was no different to normal birth. 2006: Aer Lingus confirmed last night it had warned union representatives that job cuts would be necessary to see off the competitive threat posed by ryanair. 2001- Bishop Harty National School in Ballinree staged a planned protest at the school in a bid to highlight the deplorable conditions that exist there. 1. Inspiration Beyond the BrainThe book challenges the materialist view that creativity is a left-brain, analytical function. Instead, it presents music as a right-brain, paranormal process. Many iconic songs are received through instantaneous “downloads” or vivid dreams. Keith Richards famously dreamt the riff for “(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction,” even recording his snoring afterward. These dream-sourced compositions often arrive fully formed, with clarity unlike typical dream content.2. Musicians as ChannelsMany legendary artists describe themselves as vessels rather than creators. John Lennon said he was “just the channel” for the “music of the spheres.” Michael Jackson believed his best songs were “works of God” that dropped into his lap. Notably, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix couldn't read or write music—suggesting that genius may bypass formal training and arise from external sources.3. A Historical PatternThis phenomenon isn't limited to rock and pop. Classical composers also reported receiving music from beyond. Mozart described his compositions as arriving “almost complete” in dreams. Brahms spoke of entering a trance-like state where ideas flowed “directly from God.” Such accounts suggest a long-standing tradition of non-local inspiration.4. UFOs and MusiciansThe book documents a striking number of UFO encounters among musicians. If cataloged, the list would include hundreds of high-profile names. John Lennon had a daylight sighting in 1974; Mick Jagger saw a UFO over the crowd at the 1969 Altamont concert. 5. Alien OriginsSome musicians believe they are extraterrestrial in origin. John Denver referenced the constellation Lyra as his home. Elvis Presley claimed he came from Orion, saying, “I am not of this world.” Lee Scratch Perry declared, “I am an alien from outer space… from Krypton.” Kurt Cobain expressed a lifelong feeling of being “homesick,” imagining himself as an alien baby found in a spaceship.6. Messages of Oneness and LoveThe themes expressed in music often mirror those reported by UFO experiencers. The central message is Oneness—the idea that all existence is interconnected. Lennon's lyric “I am he as you are he as you are me…” reflects this unity. His slogan “Love is the Answer. What was the Question?” and the anthem “All You Need is Love” serve as spiritual propaganda for this shift from fear to love.7. Environmental and Nuclear WarningsA recurring theme is planetary survival. Musicians often channel messages warning of ecological collapse and nuclear danger. Neil Young's “After the Gold Rush” describes “silver spaceships” rescuing the chosen ones.8. Targeting YouthMusicians are seen as strategic messengers to reach younger generations—the “ultimate swing voters.” Youth are more open to ideas that transcend traditional structures like religion and politics. Carlos Santana reported that the entity Metatron told him he'd be tuned into a “radio airwave frequency” to deliver a “new menu” of existence, helping students realize they are “multi-dimensional spirits.”9. Dreams and Altered StatesSongs often arrive during altered states—dreams, meditation, or automatic writing. Sting received “Every Breath You Take” in 15 minutes through automatic writing. Billy Joel dreamt many of his songs fully formed. Music heard during near-death experiences is described as “floating,” ethereal, and profoundly beautiful—often called the “music of the spheres.”10. Music and Quantum ConsciousnessThe book concludes by challenging the materialist worldview. It suggests that the universe operates through a quantum reality where consciousness is primary. Musicians report accessing a non-local field of awareness, consistent with quantum experiments showing that consciousness precedes matter. In this view, the brain doesn't create consciousness—consciousness creates the brain. Music becomes a delivery system for awakening, love, and planetary stewardship.

Looking Through The Glass Onion

The Stones go punk, disco, and full swagger. Billy, Matthew and Ryan drop the needle on The Rolling Stones' Some Girls, the album that dragged classic rock into the late ‘70s with grit, groove and a wink. From “Miss You” to “Beast of a Burden”, “Far Away Eyes,” and “Shattered,” the brothers break down Mick Jagger's NYC swagger, Keith Richards' guitar alchemy, and the band's most dangerous comeback. It's a deep dive into the punk vs. disco era, the Pathé Marconi sessions, and how Some Girls proved the Stones could still out-cool everyone.

The music business from the late '60s through the '90s was an exciting time that mirrored the music and the musicians making it. It was also a time of new and creative ideas on how to market this groundbreaking cultural phenomenon. Eccentric characters were everywhere, and often the managers, promoters, disc jockeys, and record company staff were just as big a show as the performers themselves. And nobody was bigger and better in promoting rock records than Rap. Paul "Rap" Rappaport enjoyed a storied (and very appropriate) 33 1/3 year career in rock promotion at Columbia Records, where he was instrumental in the careers of an amazing roster of legends, including Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Elvis Costello, Billy Joel, Blue Oyster Cult, Judas Priest, Alice In Chains, and many, many more. Gliders Over Hollywood: Airships, Airplay and the Art of Rock Promotion is Rap's dynamic, entertaining memoir captures the magic of these times and the people who made it happen, revealing the never-before-heard secrets of the promotion and marketing that turned the music industry on its head. From creating the Pink Floyd airship to sword-fighting with Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden and receiving a guitar lesson from Keith Richards, it's a book packed full of extraordinary adventures with some of the biggest names in rock. The Hunt for Ben Solo. Jim Carrey als Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean? The Curse of the Black Pearl. Heute bringen The Lemonheads ihr 11. „It's About Time“, dass bei Stereo.Typen mal The Lemonheads geehrt werden. Zusammen mit Achim Launert, Fan (fast) der ersten Stunde. "I can't get no satisfaction. Gonna try and I try and I try..." Those lyrics were written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards back in 1965. And from what little I know about their lives, I'm not sure they ever found it. There is a hunger in the soul of every person that demands to be satisfied. And there are a myriad of options that humanity has used to attempt to fill the void. It might be food, shopping, adrenaline, busyness, or any number of other things. But our satisfaction strategy is faulty. Because we're not really hungry for a what... what the soul longs for is a Who. And only He will ever completely, fully, utterly satisfy that hunger within. ----------------------------------- TAKE YOUR NEXT STEP ----------------------------------- Let us know that you were watching with us and you will be entered to receive a free prize by completing our Connection Card: http://dsf.church/ecard   Give Online: https://www.simplechurchgiving.net/App/Giving/dsf Message Notes: https://www.dayspringfellowship.com/messages   Like, comment & subscribe to stay updated!   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dayspringkeizer Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DayspringKeizer YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/dayspringfellowship Website: http://dsf.church   #dayspringkeizer #dayspringfellowship #2025sermon ___________________ Thanks for watching Dayspring Fellowship's worship service! Slovenly music is this week's theme on Listening Lyrics, Oct. 10, 2025

So, the word of the day is slovenly. Yeah — slovenly. What do I mean by that? Well, to me, it's music that's a little messy, kinda careless, maybe even a bit dirty. Songs that aren't trying too hard to be perfect — they just are. Sometimes that sound comes from the artist or producer just being… slovenly, plain and simple. Other times, it's totally intentional — they want that rough edge, that human touch. Think of folks like Keith Richards or Jim Morrison — total geniuses who could make something brilliant while still sounding like they just rolled out of bed. So today, I've pulled together a few tunes that, in my mind, really capture that slovenly vibe — songs that don't need to be cleaned up, because the grit makes them great.

It's you?– Yes, it's me.– It is you!? You've written som crap about me. Programmet gjordes och programleddes av Siri Hill hösten 2025Producent Alexandra SannemalmExekutiv producent Lars TruedsonSlutmix Fredrik NilssonP3 Musikdokumentär produceras av Tredje Statsmakten MediaLjudklippen i programmet kommer från: Howard Stern Show (2023), W5 (1998), Radio Luxemburg (1960), The Dick Cavett Show (1972), Jimmy Fallon Show (2023, )dokumentärfilmerna Gimme Shelter (1970) och Stones on The Road ‘76 (1976) samt Youtubekontona LayitPlayitDown, The Rolling Stones, ReelinInTheYears66, Schillid, Archive 33, Rolling Stones Data, The Rare Music Archive Collection, ScottishTeeVee och elnegrovilla.

Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast

Kevin Nash and Sean Oliver kick things off with a deep dive into the chaos and charisma of Charlie Sheen. From wild stories to surprising moments of honesty, the Sheen documentary sparks a conversation about fame, family, and how excess shapes a legacy. Kev shares personal encounters that reveal just how unpredictable Hollywood icons can be. The talk doesn't stay in one lane. Wrestling fans will find plenty to chew on, from Kevin's blunt thoughts about Becky Lynch's current presentation to the state of WWE storytelling. When storylines feel flat, Nash is the first to call it out, and this week is no exception. The back and forth captures the frustration of longtime fans who know the business can deliver more. Sports sneak into the mix as Kev and Sean debate what makes a coach respectable. Is it brains, fitness, or results on the scoreboard? The conversation weaves from NBA classics to Andy Reid's record, highlighting how different standards apply depending on the stage. It's sharp, funny, and brutally honest. The episode also zooms out to bigger issues. Tariffs, grocery bills, and Ford's financial struggles all come under the microscope. Nash connects the dots between policy and everyday life, reminding listeners that business decisions always hit the consumer first. It's a conversation that flips between personal anecdotes and hard numbers without losing momentum. By the end, you've traveled from Springfield arenas to Saudi mega deals, sitcom paychecks to the question of whether Kev would ever open up in a documentary about his own life. It's unpredictable, unfiltered, and filled with the kind of honesty that makes Kliq This stand apart. In The Past: Garage Rock Podcast

What the heck is Keith Richards doing on the Rolling Stones' "Empty Heart"? If you know him, ask him. The tune is a down n dirty bluesy number from the band's early days and even Ian Stewart gets in on the action. Thee Midniters did a groovy rendition in '65 - but are the happy horns too much? Later that same year The First Four covered the tune and hoo-boy! is it garagey!! Totally rockin' - and we rename the whole band to fit their sound ... Prepare for FUZZ!  when Florida's The Mods get their clean hands on the song. The lead singer has some lung power! The Wallflower Complexion had three guitarists and two of 'em are noodlin' all over their version, but all you need is that string-slingin' rhythm guitarist ... The Laughing Kind put out a weird take on the song that kinda sounds like The Hombres and features FUZZ Organ!! No stick!!

This episode of The Other Side of the Bell, featuring our own podcast host and trumpeter John Snell, is brought to you by Bob Reeves Brass. This episode also appears as a video episode on our YouTube channel, you can find it here: "Getting to know John Snell"   Who is the man behind the microphone?   You've been asking for a long time, 12.5 years and 138 episodes in fact, and today's the day: it's time to put John Snell himself on the other side of the bell!   John is the steadfast presence at Bob Reeves Brass, from the shop to the studio to the numerous conferences and events he attends every year. Many of you have met him in person over the years, and with our increasing number of video episodes, you have a better sense for what he's like.   Yet his story has only emerged in bits and pieces over all that time and all those episodes, and warrants the spotlight just as much as any of the wonderful guests who have stopped by the podcast since 2013.   And who better to interview John than the gregariously awesome Vinnie Ciesielski, who was himself a guest on The Other Side of the Bell, Episode #93 back in September of 2021.   Vinnie and John chat about how John grew up to follow in the footsteps of his professional trumpet-playing father, Keith Snell, yet forged his own path through his education, musical styles and interests, before a sudden complete career U-turn that proved to give him another solid professional foundation, alongside his continued passion for music.   And behind it all, for the past 20+ years, there's been Bob Reeves Brass. John talks about first meeting Bob and being taken under his wing, before returning with a law degree in hand to rescue the business, provide stability for Bob and his wife into retirement, and maintaining Bob's principled approach to business and customer service.   Thank you to Vinnie for encouraging the idea and bringing this episode to life, and thank you to all of our wonderful listeners and viewers for your continued support.   Don't forget to share this and other episodes with your friends in the trumpet world and beyond, and send us your thoughts and feedback! After an extensive apprenticeship, he became the company's lead valve alignment technician, personally working on thousands of instruments. Since 2010, John has also managed the business, guiding its growth while maintaining its reputation for uncompromising craftsmanship.   An accomplished trumpet player, John has performed with ensembles including The California Brass Ensemble, The California Brass Quintet, The Northridge Brass Quintet, the San Bernardino Symphony, and as lead trumpet in the Big Band of Barristers - a busy big band made up of lawyers, judges, and law students.   He hosts three popular podcasts - The Other Side of the Bell, The Trombone Corner, and The Horn Signal - interviewing top brass musicians worldwide. John regularly presents clinics on trumpet, equipment, and mindset across the U.S., Europe, Japan, and Australia.     About Vinnie Ciesielski:   Attending Towson University in Maryland, Vinnie Ciesielski majored in music performance on trumpet. The Rolling Stones' Biggest Hit

I Can't Get No Satisfaction was released in Britain on 20th August, 1965 - having already reached No. 1 for four weeks Stateside.  With its distorted guitar riff, raw energy, and thinly veiled sexual frustration, it became the Rolling Stones' biggest global hit - but initially could only be heard on pirate radio stations in the UK, thanks to the band's label wanting the Stones back from their US tour to promote it in person; and it was banned by the BBC from mainstream airplay for being too sexually suggestive.  Satisfaction wasn't just a smash hit; it was a cultural shift, setting the Stones apart from their fellow British Invasion stars, the Beatles, by establishing them as a lurid, horny counterpoint to Lennon and McCartney's more wholesome music-hall stylings.  And the story of that famous riff? Keith Richards literally dreamed it up, woke in the middle of the night, grabbed his cassette recorder, played the now-iconic “da-da-da da-da-da-da” line, and promptly fell back asleep - leaving an hour of his own snoring on the tape. In this episode, recorded to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of this iconic single, Arion, Rebecca and Olly reveal why Richards wanted a horn section, not a fuzzy guitar; unpick  Mick Jagger's surprising and satirical lyrics; and consider how, with Satisfaction, the Rolling Stones finally found their sound… Further Reading: • ‘The Story Behind The Song: ‘(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction', The Rolling Stones' classic they wrote in their sleep' (Far Out Magazine, 2020): https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/rolling-stones-satisfaction-story-jagger-richards-song/• ‘(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' (Library of Congress, 2006): https://www.loc.gov/static/programs/national-recording-preservation-board/documents/CantGetNoSatisfaction_LeRoy.pdf • ‘The Rolling Stones - (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' (ABKCO Music & Records, Inc., 1965): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrIPxlFzDi0 Love the show?
