We're thinking of you at WH during this most November-y of Novembers. If you’re having a pretty grey day, we hope that today’s show will be a bit of a brightener. Rather than a conversation that homes in on how to achieve a specific health goal, we’ve got an interview for you with one of the most fun and interesting up-and-coming female stars on our screens right now. She’s AJ Odudu, the 32-year-old Blackburn-born presenter who you’ll know from TV shows including The Voice and Don’t Rock the Boat with Freddie Flintoff. Her on-screen brand is all high energy and warm smiles, but in today’s episode – in which she chats to WH’s digital fitness writer Morgan Fargo - she opens up about how tricky 2020 was to manage for someone as extroverted as herself. However, she tells us how lockdown has taught her some valuable lessons - not least the importance of establishing a solid workout routine and getting enough rest. AJ also speaks candidly about how the Black Lives Matter movement affected her emotionally, and why the article she wrote for Vogue (which was shared widely online - do have a Google and read it if you haven’t already) was a form of self-therapy. It’s a chat that’s sunny, energising - and really thought provoking.Follow AJ Odudu on Instagram: @ajoduduFollow Morgan Fargo on Instagram: @morganfargoFollow Women's Health on Instagram: @womenshealthukTopics:AJ Odudu on being an extrovert during lockdownLearning the importance of getting enough restHow affirmations help give her confidence presentingWhy the Black Lives Matter movement was a time of traumaHow she motivates herself to workoutLike what you’re hearing? While the nation is preoccupied with the first Tuesday in Novembers as it is Election Day, Boyd believes that it is {the first November Wednesday that truly matters more}. Because after all the polls close, after the votes are counted, and race winners declared, we still need to come together and function as a nation regardless of the results. Boyd reminds us that we are more unified as a nation than we believe and that divisive politics can fall away, and we can reclaim trust in our institutions, our politics, and each other. History has taught us over and over again that we can rebuild after tragedy, we can reunite after division, but it is up to the individual to open their minds and hearts to clear a path for such progress. ‘Inside Sources with Boyd Matheson,’ Opinion Editor at Deseret News, takes you inside the latest political news and current events, providing higher ground for today's discussions.

On this episode, Jared, Tyler and Blair get into an interesting. The Flames and Leafs have had two very similar Novembers. Both had 6 game losing streaks without the ability to score the first goal of a game. Where the similarities end though is how they are attempting to fix it. The Leafs have fired Mike Babcock while the Flames continue to look for a solution. Firing Peters does not seem to be an option. The Islanders are currently rocking a 16-game point streak where they have won 15 games. With only 20 total games played this season, they are absolutely on fire and Barry Trotz is looking like a wizard. The episode ends with a chat about two incredible saves from Marc-Andre Fleury and Tuukka Rask where we debate on which save is better. We also touch on the terrible stadium series jerseys for this years NHL outdoor games. Thanks for tuning in, we hope you enjoy.

This is the last program of the 2018 calendar year. One of my main passions is politics, so I thought I would speak to two individuals who also share a passion of the political gridiron- one from political left and one from the political right- to hear what they thought of the past year- a year that would never end.Due to the 24/7 wall to wall political coverage of the Trump Presidency, which typically goes from one scandal to to the next, sometimes scandals by Presidential Twitter design, it is harder and harder to keep track of time. Things just seem to be so blurry and keeping track of political data points continually is becoming tougher to do as our heads keep spinning. Congress doesn’t even convene until January 3rd, but the November election seems like it happened a year ago. The migrant children being taken into custody and put into change linked pens also seems like years ago, as does the Kim Jong Un/ Trump summit, but that too happened this past year. We speak to Patrick McGill- a Washington DC based Democratic political consultant who is currently very bullish after what he dubs Novembers election- a Blue Tsunami. We are then joined by a Western NY attorney and Trump supporter , Mario Fratto, who sees things very differently. He’s much more pessimistic about the months to come, especially with this new Democratically controlled Congress, and Fratto sadly believes the political tribalism the country witnessed this past fall during the Brett Kavanaugh Hearing will be more of what we come to expect as normal in 2019. For our countries sake, I hope that is not the case.So for this week it is two civil political conversations, from both sides of the aisles.Be sure to subscribe to Chilly Underground on your favorite Podcasting services including iTunes, Spotify, Spreaker.Listen to Chilly Underground live every Saturday 1pm on Radio RAMPA 620 AMFor more visit: www.ChillyUnderground.com

#KeriTV - Getting “REAL” about real estate

Hey guys! It’s Keri TV, and today I’m going to be talking about the myth of the Holidays.  Stay tuned.   [music]   So the myth of the holidays.  I’m talking about this today because it’s something that I’ve been discussing with so many different people over the last two or three weeks, maybe a month.  I always love to talk about topics that are super relevant.  The basis of Keri TV is not the encyclopedia of real estate, although some people think I am one, but more so really what I deal with day in day out and my experiences over the last, mm, thirteen or fourteen years.  Isn’t that crazy?  Live, breath, eat, sleep real estate, right?  Based on that, I wanted to talk a little about what’s happening in quarter four year.  It is the first week of December.  We’ve essentially got three weeks until it’s Christmas, and then we’ve got that week from Christmas to New Year’s where things can be a little bit more quiet.  What I’ve noticed over the last few years is every person, regardless of the time of year, has their own unique needs, wants, and desires.  If you think about it, if you’re a buyer who’s been trying to find something and something great comes up right around Christmas, and you’re in town, are you going to not go see that property just because it’s the holidays?  If you’re a seller and you get a job transfer or maybe you meet someone and you’re moving to Spain, are you not going to sell because of the holidays?  Think about people and pregnancies, divorce, things that happen that force people to move. Regardless of the time, every single person has a personal need and desire that could make them move or not move.   Also in California, in Los Angeles, we’re so lucky – I know it’s our first day of rain in a while – we don’t have to, what, shovel snow out of the way for showings.  We have Novembers with seventy-degree weather.  We don’t deal with the hardships of trying to get into properties and open houses with the snow, which we’re very lucky about.  A lot of people in LA don’t leave for the holidays.  This time is actually a great time for people to be out shopping.  They have a little time off.  If you’re a seller, sometimes it’s really cool to show your house when it’s all decorated for the holidays.  I just wanted to dispel the myth that it is a horrible time to sell or buy during the holidays.  What I will be honest with is every situation is really different.  If somebody is trying to give you a list of reasons of why you should sell right now versus waiting, you have to look at if they’re coming from my personal needs, wants and motivations, or based on their agenda?  An agent is supposed to listen to their clients and find out what their needs and wants are and how it relates to the current market.  As a buyer, there could be some advantages to looking right now.  There’s generally less competition around the holidays.  It’s a little bit easier to squeeze into a property.  As a seller, as I mentioned, it could be really beneficial to show your home when it’s so charming, beautiful and wonderful.  Now if you’re a seller who’s trying to test the market, get a higher price than normal, and you’ve got some challenges with your home, then the holidays are not necessarily the best time to try to do that.  If you’ve got a house in great condition, that’s showable, you’re ready to move, and it’s priced well, it’s never a bad time to put your home on the market.  As I mentioned for buyers, you can get a great deal around this time with less activity.   Now the market is shifting, as we all know.  Things are slowing down, so that heavy and high acceleration of prices has now stopped.  It’s not doom and gloom, which we’ve all mentioned.  There’s going to be less competition in the market in general.  Some of my personal experiences during the holidays, just thinking of last year, we listed a condo on Lincoln and Santa Monica the day before Thanksgiving.  We were just ironing out the best buyer.  We’d had three offers on the property, all the week before Thanksgiving.  The day right before Turkey day, we ended up accepting one.  Everybody was still a little bit active around that time.  This year right now, we’ve had a couple of properties go into escrow two weeks ago.  Thanksgiving was last week.  We’ve gotten offers on properties now.  We’ve got new listings coming up.  People are still out there and active.  Thinking of some of my Christmas time clients, I remember Anna and Rex Lee.  We were definitely right around Christmas or New Years, I think.  It was a while ago now.  Sandi Bass, I know we got something around the holidays.  Of course, Brendan, I’ll never forgot our conversations with eggnog when I congratulated you on getting that multiple offer accepted.  It’s definitely an awesome time to still be in the market, as you know.  Every year I see a slowdown this time of year, but people are still buying and selling properties this time of year.  Don’t discount the time of year.   As I always say, real estate is about your personal timing and needs.  Make sure that you’re in an emotional and financial ready position to buy or sell.  It is not a bad or good time to sell.  There’s a lot of different opportunities for buyers and sellers in this market.  I’ve worked a lot of Christmases around transactions.  If you’ve got any more questions on this subject, you know where to find me, and we will see you next week.  Cheers guys.   [music]

Rob returns to SRNY for fall steelhead fishing. The past two Novembers have not been productive. Heavy rains the week before raised the water levels by thousands of cubic feet per second. Will the water levels effect the fishing? The biggest salmon run in years is over. Will steelhead be in the river eating eggs? Be sure to check out Rob's blog for pictures of the trip. Last year "Sequel This" brought you "All the Halloween Sequels" this year.......The Saw is Family and so are you!  That's right we're doing all of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" sequels.  We've got 6 pitches for you this year, yes 6.  That's one more than last year.  That's because Dave and I each did our own pitch as opposed to a joint one.  Creative differences if you will.  Another change there is no guest judge host as there was last year, no instead we're calling on all the listeners to judge the pitches.  So please email us at Sequelthis@gmail.com or send us a personal message over Facebook or leave a comment on our Facebook wall.  We accept carrier pigeon as well.  Anyway you can get us that vote will work really!  We will declare the winner on Halloween night!   00:00:00 - 01:10:00 Dave and I discuss the life and unfortunate passing of Tobe Hooper.  We go over his films in general and talk about "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" franchise as a whole and finally do as we always do, and discuss the first we encountered the Chainsaw franchise.  And as always, Marc's story is embarressing.   01:10:00 - 01:25:00 First up is often times guest host, friend of the show Chris Barreras one of the three hosts over at "Throwing the Controller" podcast.  We then discuss his pitch briefly.   01:25:00 - 01:45:00 Our second guest in this chainsaw anthology is John Lehtimaki who you've recently heard on our "Cult of Chucky" show.  Now just a forewarning his audio is very low, Dave tried as he could but it just became distorted when attempting to raise the volume up, so please during this duration turn the volume up a smidge.     01:45:00 - 01:57:00 Our third contributer is Justin Lee who was recently on our "X-men Writer's Room" episode.  Dave and I discuss his pitch.  I mainly talk about how much I can't stand Justin Lee.  You'll see...   01:57:00 - 02:16:00 Our final guest for this anthology Ken Zuckerman, co-creator of "The Marc and Ken Video Store Podcast" which you can hear right over here on "The Speakeasy Podcast Network with yours truly Marc L. Rissmann.  Ken has also appeared on our "Christmas Carol 2" episode this last year.  So there's a lot of Ken.  We then discuss his pitch.   02:16:00 - 02:30:00 Dave finally unleashes his pitch on the masses.   02:30:00 - 02;47:00 Marc pitches his Chainsaw Sequel.  Is Dave impressed? Tune in to all the pitches to find out.   All the rest.....For the remainder of the show we talk about all the pitches.  We hope you all had fun with this years Halloween Anthology style Horror Sequel This Episode.  We can't wait to do it again next year.  If you guys want in on the fun, or if you want to appear on any show just drop us a line at Sequelthis@gmail.com and also please submit your vote for which pitch was the best this year!   NOTE:  The "Sequel This" theme performed by "Petrified Gumbo" was once again remixed by David Rodriguez.  No worries though, the normal BADASS theme will be back in fighting shape for Novembers show.  Thanks!

In this weeks show Phil & Paul continue with their series 3 retrospective with their take on Family of Blood.  To be honest, expect more of the same as last week as this is real love in as the pair of them sing the praises of this story and everyone involved and tip their hats to possibly the greatest two part story since the show came back in 2005.  And Phil gets to use the word "beastly". And in the news this week, the exciting announcement of extra tickets for this Novembers official convention and also the accouncement of the premier of An Adventure In Space And Time at the BFI which leads Phil & Paul to show their utter contempt for their listeners.  But in Omega's Tat Corner a piece of tat that is so unwarranted, unofficial and downright shameful gets chucked into the muckiest of Omega's corners.

Holding a residency at The Zoo Project, the most talked about Ibiza party right now, she is holding her own against some of houses greats. Creating her own productions, and always giving the crowd that melodic groove, a real sense of connection can be felt as she almost becomes part of the crowd and leaving no one in doubt that this girl really loves the music she plays. If your visiting Ibiza check her out in 2013 at Zoo Project. You wont be disappointed!
