On April 12th, 1903, Mrs. Frances Connors spotted a overcoat draped over a barrel at the corner of 11th Street and Avenue D in Manhattan's Alphabet City. The coat looked new, and it wasn't wet, even though it had been raining all night. "Who gets rid of a perfectly good overcoat?" Mrs. Connors wondered, and, "What's in that barrel?" Curiosity got the better of her, she sidled over to the barrel, lifted the coat, and SCREAMED...Call 888-MURDERY, that's 888-687-3379 to share your story of living with a disability, or, your real-life Kinda Murdery story, and YOU could inspire an episode of the show!Sources: The Ananconda Standard, "The Baffling Mystery of the Barrel Murder," by William J. Sara Rivers, formerly known as Sara Stokes from MTV's Making the Band 2 and a member of Da Band, filed a $60 million lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs alleging a pattern of sexual harassment, battery, psychological abuse, and professional sabotage. Rivers claims that Combs subjected her to degrading treatment throughout her time on the reality series and beyond, including groping her without consent, making sexually explicit comments, and mocking her bulimia. She further alleges that Combs controlled contestants' food, sleep, and movement, orchestrated humiliating stunts like the infamous "cheesecake walk," and forced her into uncompensated labor under exploitative conditions. According to the complaint, Rivers was made to sleep in exposed, unsafe quarters with male co-stars and denied basic dignity and protection. The lawsuit names more than two dozen other parties, including executives at Bad Boy, Universal Music Group, MTV, and even Combs's mother, asserting that they either enabled or failed to intervene in the abuse. Rivers accuses Combs of deliberately dismantling Da Band to assert dominance and retain control of her earnings, effectively sabotaging her career. She asserts that this behavior was not isolated but part of a systemic pattern of exploitation and intimidation that targeted young, vulnerable performers. Combs's legal team has dismissed the suit as meritless and opportunistic, noting it was filed just before the deadline under the New York City Gender-Motivated Violence Act. The case joins a growing list of lawsuits and criminal investigations currently surrounding Combs.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Sara cmplt
From the archives: 8-18-23Genetic genealogy is a field that combines traditional genealogy research with modern DNA testing techniques to trace familial relationships and ancestry through genetic information. It involves analyzing an individual's DNA to uncover their genetic heritage, connect with distant relatives, and map out family trees. This approach has gained significant popularity due to advancements in DNA sequencing technology, particularly in the form of direct-to-consumer DNA testing kits. Here's how genetic genealogy works and how it's used by investigators:DNA Testing: Individuals interested in exploring their genetic heritage and family history can submit their DNA samples through services provided by companies like AncestryDNA, 23andMe, and MyHeritageDNA. These companies analyze specific segments of the submitted DNA to identify genetic markers that are common among different populations and individuals.Genetic Markers: Certain sections of the DNA, particularly those found in the Y chromosome (passed from father to son) and the mitochondrial DNA (passed from mother to all offspring), contain genetic markers that can be used to identify ancestral lineages. Autosomal DNA, which is inherited from both parents, is also examined to find matches with other individuals in the testing company's database.Matching and Comparison: Testing companies compare an individual's genetic markers with those of other users in their databases. If two individuals share a significant amount of genetic material, they are considered genetic matches. The more segments of DNA they share, the closer their relationship is likely to be.Building Family Trees: Genetic genealogy involves constructing family trees using a combination of traditional genealogical research and the information gained from DNA matches. By connecting with other users who share segments of DNA, individuals can extend their family trees and discover new branches of their lineage.Identifying Common Ancestors: As more people participate in DNA testing, the chances of finding common ancestors increase. Overlapping segments of shared DNA can help identify specific ancestors or ancestral groups that are shared among related individuals.Forensic and Investigative Applications: Genetic genealogy has also found applications in criminal investigations. Law enforcement agencies have used DNA databases to identify unknown perpetrators of crimes like murder and sexual assault. In cases where traditional investigative methods have been unsuccessful, investigators can upload DNA profiles from crime scenes to genealogy databases and identify potential relatives of the suspect based on shared genetic markers.Building Family Trees for Identification: Once potential relatives of the suspect are identified, investigators work to build family trees using genealogical records, such as birth certificates, marriage records, and obituaries. By tracing the shared ancestry of these relatives, law enforcement can narrow down the list of potential suspects to a smaller pool.Narrowing Down Suspects: Investigative genetic genealogy can help law enforcement focus on specific individuals who fit the profile of the unknown suspect based on age, location, and other relevant factors. This process has led to the successful identification and capture of suspects in several high-profile cases. In this episode we take a look at the battle of the experts that is being set up by both sides in the Bryan Kohberger trial and how it will be an uphill battle for Bryan Kohberger.(commercial at 8:44)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:How DNA Dispute Could Impact Bryan Kohberger Case (newsweek.com)

On November 3, 2024, Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team submitted a letter to the federal judge overseeing his case, urgently requesting the implementation of a gag order. This plea was prompted by recent public statements from Courtney Burgess, a grand jury witness, who claimed to possess videos allegedly depicting Combs in compromising situations. Combs' attorneys argue that such statements have led to a "deluge of improper pretrial publicity," jeopardizing his right to a fair trial and undermining the integrity of the grand jury proceedings. In this episode, we dive into the latest developments and see where things stand.(commercial at 8:15)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Diddy makes shock attempt to silence grand jury witness who made bombshell claims about rapper's 'freak-off' parties | Daily Mail Online
Adria Sheri English has recently made strong statements about her intent to testify against Sean "Diddy" Combs in his upcoming federal trial. English, who previously accused Combs of sex trafficking, claimed that she was coerced into performing sexual acts with guests at his parties between 2004 and 2009. She expressed her commitment to ensuring that Combs is held accountable, stating that she hopes her testimony will lead to his imprisonment for life.English's legal team has emphasized that she felt manipulated by Combs' influence and power, describing how she was allegedly pressured to participate in these acts due to fear of being blacklisted from the music industry. English has also detailed how alcohol at these events was often laced with drugs, which further impaired her ability to resist. Her attorney has made it clear that English is eager to see justice served, and she has already filed both civil and criminal complaints against Combs.Combs' legal team has denied all allegations, dismissing them as baseless, and expressed confidence that he will prevail in court.(commercial at 14:02)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Sean 'Diddy' Combs forced women to have sex with guests at drugged-up parties — says dancer who wants rapper in jail 'for life' (nypost.com)
In a lawsuit filed in October 2024, a personal trainer, identified as "John Doe," accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting him during an after-party at Combs' Los Angeles mansion in June 2022. The trainer alleged that upon arrival, he was asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement and was given a drink that caused him to feel disoriented and weak. He claimed that Combs led him to a room where multiple individuals, including celebrities, were engaged in sexual activities. The trainer asserted that Combs removed his pants and performed non-consensual oral sex on him, then directed him to perform similar acts on another male celebrity. He described feeling incapacitated and unable to resist, stating that he was "passed around like a party favor" for others' sexual gratification. The lawsuit further alleged that the trainer experienced periods of unconsciousness during the assaults and later found himself outside his apartment without his shirt or phone, with no recollection of how he got there. He claimed that the incident led to severe emotional distress and financial losses. The lawsuit included a photograph of a container allegedly used by Combs or his associates to administer gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), a substance often linked to drug-facilitated sexual assault. Combs' legal team denied the allegations, labeling them as false and publicity-driven.(commercial at 7:58)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:gov.uscourts.nysd.630243.1.0.pdfBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Part 1 of 2: On the afternoon of July 24, 2002, Clara Harris learned that her husband, David Harris, was having an affair with his secretary. Incensed, Clara went to the hotel where the David and his mistress had just checked in and confronted the couple before being escorted out by hotel staff. However, the argument between David and Clara continued in the parking lot, only ending when Clara ran her husband down with her car, driving over him three separate times and killing him.The trial of Clara Harris proved to be as exciting and dramatic as the marriage and the explosive argument that ended David's life. The defense had tried to frame the murder as a crime of passion, an act of “sudden passion” committed by a woman rejected and scorned. That defense fell apart immediately when, without warning or expectation, Clara Harris decided to testify on her own behalf, at which point she essentially confessed to murder, sending the courtroom into chaos. The trial of Clara Harris for the murder of her husband garnered national attention, not only for the defense of “sudden passion,” but also for the unusually high amount of drama and scandalous details that emerged in the testimony at trial.Thank you to the Incredible Dave White of Bring Me the Axe Podcast for research and Writing support!ReferencesClara L. Ellen Greenberg's fiancé found her dead in their apartment with multiple stab wounds, yet investigators called it suicide. Dr. Phil uncovers troubling inconsistencies—the broken lock, missing evidence, and a sudden reversal in the medical examiner's ruling—that challenge the official narrative. He examines the actions of Sam Goldberg's relatives, who cleaned the crime scene and removed personal items just hours after Ellen's death. He also scrutinizes Ellen's mental health records, questioning whether her anxiety could explain her final moments—or if there's something much darker at play. Ellen's parents refuse to accept the suicide ruling. They've hired private investigators, pushed for independent reviews, and demanded answers that authorities have yet to provide. Dr. Phil pieces together expert analysis, witness accounts, and forensic details to reveal the truth: Was Ellen's death a tragic suicide, or is someone hiding a crime in plain sight? #EllenGreenberg #TrueCrimePodcast #DrPhil #MysteryAndMurder #CrimeSceneInvestigation #ForensicAnalysis #UnsolvedMystery #JusticeForEllen #CrimePodcast #ColdCase New episodes drop every Thursday. In State of Idaho v. Bryan C. Kohberger, Case No. CR01-24-31665, the defense submitted a reply challenging the State's opposition to its motion to continue the trial. Kohberger's legal team argues that the prosecution's objection ignores the complex and voluminous nature of discovery materials still being reviewed, which include thousands of pages of documents, hours of surveillance footage, and extensive forensic data. The defense emphasizes that proceeding without adequate time to evaluate this evidence would compromise Kohberger's constitutional right to a fair trial and effective assistance of counsel.Additionally, the reply underscores that this is a capital case with unique legal and investigative demands, requiring more preparation time than the prosecution acknowledges. The defense contends that rushing the proceedings would not serve justice and that the need for a continuance is both reasonable and necessary given the gravity of the charges and the scope of the case. They urge the court to grant the motion and reject the State's assertion that further delay is unwarranted.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:061625+Defendants+Reply+to+the+States+Opposition+to+Defendants+Motion+to+Continue.pdf

In the case of United States v. Sean Combs, 24 Cr. 542 (AS), the Government has responded to the defendant's recent claims regarding access to a laptop for reviewing discovery materials and the sharing of attorney visitation forms at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Brooklyn. The Government asserts that the defendant's requests for relief are either premature or moot. They argue that the MDC has provided the necessary accommodations to allow Combs to review discovery materials, implying that his access to resources for preparing his defense has not been unduly hinder.Additionally, the Government addresses the issue of attorney visitation forms, arguing that there is no substantiated infringement of Combs' rights in this regard. They contend that the provision of these forms does not amount to a breach of attorney-client privilege or impede the defendant's legal defense. By positioning the defendant's concerns as unwarranted at this stage, the Government suggests that the existing measures at MDC are adequate and that Combs' allegations lack sufficient merit to justify judicial intervention at this time.(commercial at 8:16)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:gov.uscourts.nysd.628425.99.0.pdf
The similarities between the indictment and conviction of R. Kelly and the indictment of Sean "Diddy" Combs are indeed striking and noteworthy. In this episode we take a look at some of the core parallels. Both R. Kelly and Diddy have been indicted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. This is significant because the RICO statute was traditionally used to prosecute organized crime but is now being applied to individuals accused of long-term patterns of sexual abuse. Prosecutors argue that both men ran "enterprises" through which they were able to commit and conceal their crimes. In R. Kelly's case, his team—managers, bodyguards, and assistants—helped him recruit, exploit, and silence victims. Similarly, Diddy is accused of using his business empire and staff to coerce women into sexual activity and to cover up the abuse. In both cases, the allegations point to systemic, decades-long abuse. R. Kelly's sexual abuse spanned decades, involving minors, child pornography, and coercion. Diddy's indictment, while focused on adult women, similarly accuses him of long-term, repeated abuse, where he allegedly leveraged his power and wealth to manipulate victims. Both R. Kelly and allegedly Diddy used their status as powerful figures in the music industry to facilitate their crimes. Their fame afforded them protection, access to vulnerable individuals, and influence over those around them, including their teams, who allegedly helped perpetuate and cover up the abuse. This exploitation of celebrity status is a central theme in both cases, as both men allegedly relied on their empires to intimidate victims and prevent them from coming forward. Both men are accused of manipulating and coercing victims into sexual activities. R. Kelly used coercion, often involving minors, to control and sexually exploit young women. Similarly, Diddy is accused of coercing adult women, with allegations of threats, violence, and manipulation, including using drugs to maintain control. In both cases, the prosecution has built a narrative that emphasizes the use of power to force complianceBoth cases involve sophisticated efforts to conceal the abuse. R. Kelly used his wealth and influence to silence victims and avoid legal consequences for years. Diddy's case also alleges that he used his network of business connections and financial resources to pay off victims, keep his actions hidden, and control the narrative around his conduct. Both men are accused of orchestrating a broad network of people and resources to maintain their abusive activities and evade justice. The similarities between the R. Kelly and Sean "Diddy" Combs cases lie in the pattern of long-term, systematic abuse, the use of celebrity status to facilitate and cover up crimes, and the application of RICO charges to hold these individuals accountable. In this episode we take a look at those similiarities.(commercial at 10:08)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:The Sean ‘Diddy' Combs case brings to mind R. Kelly criminal case | CNN
In the Memorandum of Law supporting Sean Combs's Motion to Dismiss Count Three of the Superseding Indictment in case 1:24-cr-00542-AS, the defense argues that the charge is legally insufficient and fails to meet the required statutory elements. They contend that the indictment lacks specificity, particularly in detailing the alleged conduct and its connection to the purported criminal enterprise. Furthermore, the defense asserts that the prosecution's interpretation of the statute is overly broad, potentially criminalizing behavior beyond the law's intent. They emphasize that without clear evidence linking Combs to the alleged illegal activities in Count Three, the charge should be dismissed to uphold the principles of fair notice and due process.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:gov.uscourts.nysd.628425.153.0.pdf
In the case of United States v. Combs, S3 24 Cr. 542 (AS), the Government filed a letter opposing the defendant's objections to certain exhibits intended to be introduced during the testimony of the witness identified as “Jane.” Despite ongoing discussions between the parties, two main areas of dispute remain. First, the defense argues that selected text message exchanges should be excluded under the rule of completeness, suggesting that the Government is presenting messages out of context. Second, the defense raises hearsay objections to specific exhibits, including a text message exchange, a screenshot of a media headline, and several personal notes written by Jane in her phone's Notes app.The Government maintains that these objections lack merit. Regarding the completeness argument, the prosecution contends that the messages they seek to introduce are independently admissible and not misleading or taken out of context. As for the hearsay objections, the Government argues that the exhibits in question either do not constitute hearsay, fall within recognized exceptions, or are not offered for the truth of the matter asserted. Ultimately, the Government urges the Court to overrule the objections and allow the contested materials to be admitted into evidence during Jane's testimony.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:gov.uscourts.nysd.628425.411.0_1.pdf
In United States v. Combs, the Government responds to the defendant's motion to strike portions of Mr. Mescudi's testimony. The defendant contends that certain parts of Mescudi's testimony should be excluded from the trial, asserting that they are irrelevant or prejudicial. The Government argues that Mescudi's testimony is both relevant and integral to its case, and it should not be excluded. They emphasize that Mescudi's statements provide important context and details that directly relate to the charges and help to establish key aspects of the prosecution's narrative.Additionally, the Government identifies disputed evidentiary issues regarding the upcoming testimony of Deonte Nash and Mia. The defense has raised objections about the admissibility of certain aspects of their testimonies, questioning their relevance and the potential for bias. The Government contends that both witnesses are critical to the case and their testimonies should be allowed to stand, as they provide essential evidence regarding the defendant's actions. Lori Vallow Daybell did not receive the death penalty due to a combination of factors primarily related to the management and timing of evidence disclosures by the prosecution. The defense argued that the prosecution's late submission of thousands of documents and pieces of evidence impeded their ability to adequately prepare for trial. Judge Steven Boyce ruled to remove the death penalty to ensure that Vallow Daybell's constitutional rights were protected, allowing her defense team sufficient time to review the evidence. The judge emphasized that his decision was not to penalize the state but to avoid potential reversible errors that could arise from discovery issues if a death sentence were imposed. The implications of this decision might influence Bryan Kohberger's case, as his defense team could leverage similar arguments regarding evidence handling and procedural fairness. Kohberger, charged with the murders of four University of Idaho students, is facing the death penalty. His defense has been actively challenging the prosecution on various procedural grounds, including the handling and disclosure of DNA evidence and other investigative materials. In this episode, we dive in and take a look at the possibility of Bryan Kohberger avoiding the death penalty due to prosecutorial misconduct.(commercial at 9:31)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Idaho suspect Bryan Kohberger's team could use same tactic as cult mom Lori Vallow to avoid death penalty if convicted | The US Sun (the-sun.com)

In the lawsuit filed by Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones against Diddy and associated entities, Universal Music Group (UMG) and its representatives, including Martha Brathwaite, have made significant moves to distance the label from the allegations. Jones accuses Diddy of various forms of misconduct, including an alleged shooting incident at a 2022 writing camp. In response, UMG's legal team, supported by Brathwaite's declaration, asserts that UMG and Motown Records were not responsible for organizing or providing security for the camp where the alleged shooting took place.Brathwaite's declaration clarifies that Diddy's Love Records, not UMG or Motown, oversaw and financed the camp, arguing that UMG should not be held accountable for any security failures or incidents that occurred. The label's legal filings aim to have UMG dismissed from the case, contending that Jones is inappropriately attempting to involve the label despite its lack of operational control or direct involvement in the events under dispute.Additionally, the legal strategy seeks to prevent the lawsuit from being amended further, with UMG lawyers arguing that any additional claims would be futile. The case exemplifies how UMG and other corporate entities named in the lawsuit are seeking to limit their exposure and sever any implied connections to Diddy's alleged misconduct during these events. This legal push reflects the complexities of liability when artists manage multiple companies across overlapping spheres.(commercial at 8:36)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
Attorney Tony Buzbee has revealed that numerous A-list celebrities are taking steps to distance themselves from Sean "Diddy" Combs following his arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. According to Buzbee, many of these celebrities have been scrubbing their social media accounts in an attempt to erase any association with Diddy, particularly as more victims come forward with allegations related to his notorious parties. Buzbee suggested that these efforts are likely intended to avoid public scrutiny and potential legal exposure.Buzbee further implied that some of these high-profile figures may have been aware of or even participated in illegal activities at Diddy's parties. He hinted that additional legal actions could involve more prominent names in the entertainment industry. The attorney is meticulously vetting the claims to ensure all relevant individuals are held accountable, warning that this case could implicate a broader network of individuals beyond Diddy himself. The allegations that Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs is currently facing are not new to him. In fact, he's been accused of things similar many times in the past. Now, with the dam breaking and many accusers coming forward, for those of us who have followed the Jeffrey Epstein case, the similarities are very, very apparent and when looking at the way things have transpired since these most recent allegations have been made, it's not hard to follow the thread connecting these civil allegations and the current criminal ones. In this episode we get a look at those allegations for ourselves and why this is looking like it's going to be a major RICO case against Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs. The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) is a United States federal law enacted in 1970 to combat organized crime. RICO targets individuals or groups involved in illegal enterprises, known as "racketeering activities," such as bribery, extortion, fraud, and money laundering.Key features of RICO include:Criminalization of Racketeering Activity: RICO makes it a federal crime to participate in, or conspire to participate in, the affairs of an enterprise through a pattern of racketeering activity.Enterprise: RICO applies to both legitimate and illegitimate enterprises, including corporations, partnerships, and other associations.Pattern of Racketeering Activity: A pattern is established by engaging in at least two instances of racketeering activity within ten years.Consequences: Individuals convicted under RICO can face substantial fines, forfeiture of assets, and imprisonment for up to 20 years per racketeering count, with potential enhancements for multiple offenses.RICO has been used extensively against organized crime syndicates, such as the Mafia, but it has also been employed in cases involving various other criminal enterprises, including drug trafficking, securities fraud, and corruption. Prosecutors often use RICO to dismantle criminal organizations by targeting not only the individuals directly involved in criminal activities but also those who facilitate or benefit from them, such as leaders, associates, and even legitimate businesses linked to the enterprise. To successfully prosecute under RICO, prosecutors must demonstrate the existence of an enterprise engaged in a pattern of racketeering activity, as well as the defendant's involvement in that enterprise and its illegal activities. RICO has been praised for its effectiveness in dismantling criminal organizations but has also faced criticism for its broad scope and potential for abuse in certain cases. In this episode, we get a look at the amended complaint that has been filed by Rodney Jones.(commercial at 7:38)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:gov.uscourts.nysd.616406.30.1.pdf (courtlistener.com)Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

A personal trainer, identified as John Doe, has filed a lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, alleging sexual assault and exploitation. The plaintiff claims that in 2018, during a training session at Combs' residence, Combs made unsolicited sexual advances, including inappropriate touching and suggestive remarks. Despite Doe's objections, Combs allegedly persisted, leading to an assault that caused significant emotional and psychological distress. The lawsuit further alleges that Combs leveraged his celebrity status and influence to intimidate Doe into silence, threatening to ruin his professional reputation if he disclosed the incident. This power dynamic, the suit claims, prevented Doe from coming forward sooner. The legal action seeks damages for the alleged assault, emotional suffering, and the impact on Doe's career. Kevin Hart has been actively distancing himself from the controversies surrounding Sean "Diddy" Combs, especially after Diddy's arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
