In this episode of The Brainy Business podcast, you will hear an insightful conversation between host Melina Palmer and guest Ben Guttmann, author of Attention!: The Power of Simple Decisions in a Distracted World. Guttmann shares his expertise on the importance of simplicity in communication and offers practical advice on creating messages that resonate with the audience. Through examples and analogies, Guttmann highlights the "Frankenstein problem" of overloading messages with too much information, stressing the need for focus and clarity. He emphasizes the concept of fluency in messaging and how it leads to simplicity and resonance.  The episode also delves into the paradox of choice, the difference between nice and kind messaging, and the significance of context in crafting effective messages. If you're a communicator or marketer looking to improve your messaging and connect with your audience on a deeper level, this episode is a must-listen. In this episode: Master the art of simplicity in communication to captivate your audience and convey your message with clarity and impact. Create messages that cut through the noise and resonate with your target audience, leading to higher engagement and conversion rates. Harness the power of context in your messaging to ensure your audience understands the relevance and importance of your message, increasing its effectiveness. Craft messages that leave a lasting impact on your audience, turning them into loyal customers and advocates for your brand. Avoid the pitfalls of fragmented communication by delivering cohesive and consistent messages that strengthen your brand and build trust with your audience. Show Notes: 00:00:00 - Introduction, Melina Palmer introduces Ben Guttmann, author of the book Simply Put, and provides a brief overview of his background in marketing and communications. 00:03:10 - Example of Simple Messaging Ben shares an example of a project he worked on for a power plant in New York City. The power plant needed an internal rallying cry to help employees feel a sense of identity and purpose. The slogan they developed, "Making New York Happen," became a powerful message that resonated with the employees. 00:06:47 - Internal Messaging with External Potential Ben discusses another project he worked on, a pro bono campaign to combat littering in New York City parks. The campaign aimed to tap into the identity of being a "real New Yorker" and encourage people to not litter. Although the campaign was not launched due to timing issues, it demonstrates how internal messaging can have external potential. 00:10:57 - Empathy in Messaging Ben emphasizes the importance of empathy in messaging. He explains that effective messaging should meet people where they are and speak their language. Understanding the audience's perspective and using language that resonates with them is key to creating impactful messages. 00:12:50 - Simplifying Complex Messages Ben and Melina discuss the challenge of simplifying complex messages. Ben highlights the importance of finding the core message and eliminating unnecessary complexity. By focusing on the key point and delivering it clearly, messages can become more memorable and effective. 00:14:49 - The Problem of Having Too Much Stuff in Your Message Ben discusses the common problem of having too much information in a message, leading to a lack of focus and effectiveness. He uses the analogy of a website redesign and refers to his own website as "Franken-site" to illustrate this issue. 00:17:14 - The Frankenstein Idea in Communication Ben introduces the concept of the "Frankenstein idea" in communication, where multiple components are put together in a message without considering their compatibility. He compares it to the monster in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, highlighting the importance of focus and coherence in communication. 00:20:56 - The Sender and Receiver in Communication Ben emphasizes the distinction between senders and receivers in communication. He explains that as senders, it is our responsibility to ensure our message is heard and understood by the receivers, as they are not inherently interested in what we have to say. Humility and effective messaging are key. 00:23:03 - The Burden of the Sender Ben discusses the burden of the sender in communication. He highlights that it is the sender's responsibility to create a message that is valuable and engaging for the receiver, as they do not wake up wanting to hear the sender's message. The sender must pay the postage to ensure their message is heard. 00:29:41 - The Power of Focusing on One Idea It's better to pick one piece of an idea and focus on it, even if it's not the strongest. Commitment leads to better messaging and concept development. 00:31:26 - Mediocre Feedback vs. Love or Hate Mediocre feedback is worse than receiving love or hate for your work. The distance between love and hate is shorter than between apathy and passion. A little bit of nuance and commitment can turn an imperfect concept into something better. 00:33:22 - The Paradox of Choice Having too many options can lead to indecision and apathy. When there are fewer options, people are more likely to rally behind and appreciate what they have chosen. 00:35:04 - The Importance of Kindness in Messaging Kindness in messaging goes beyond being nice. It means caring about the well-being and outcome of the receiver. Simple and clear messages, like a parking sign that says "Don't even think about parking here," can be kind and effective. 00:39:57 - Respecting People's Time It's important to respect people's time and not waste it with cluttered or irrelevant messaging. When messages are concise and get to the point, people are more likely to pay attention and take action. 00:44:22 - The Importance of Contrast Ben emphasizes the importance of contrast in communication, stating that without quiet, there can be no loud. He explains that knowing what exists is crucial in order to stand out and connect with your audience. 00:44:56 - Standing Out and Resonating Ben discusses the significance of context and resonating with your audience. He highlights the need to understand what resonates with your audience in order to make an impact. 00:45:20 - Connecting and Getting More Information Ben directs listeners to his website, Benguttmann.com, where they can find his blog, sign up for his newsletter, and download the first chapter of his book for free. He encourages connecting with him on LinkedIn or other platforms. 00:45:53 -  Conclusion, Melina's top insights from the conversation. What stuck with you while listening to the episode? Stories have a tremendous impact on the way we perceive the world and make decisions. They are deeply rooted in our human nature and can be incredibly effective for marketing and brand strategy. Utilizing storytelling in marketing creates an emotional connection with the audience, which is integral for influencing decisions and shaping behavior. During the podcast, Michelle Auerbach shared the importance of focusing on a specific character or situation when crafting a story, to achieve a strong emotional impact. Instead, ask them to tell you about their own experiences. 00:41:26 - Storytelling for Behavior Change, Michelle shares her experience in Japan, where a doorman's story about wearing masks "for politeness" helped her quickly change her behavior. When telling stories, it's important to share your own motivations rather than telling people what to do or feel. 00:43:20 - The Power of Story, Michelle explains that storytelling has been part of human culture for thousands of years. She shares that stories are powerful because they evoke emotions, which are needed to make decisions. A good story is relatable and makes abstract concepts more tangible. By telling stories, you can help people understand and feel your message. 00:44:16 - Everyone Can Tell a Story, Michelle encourages people to embrace their storytelling skills. She says that everyone is born with the ability to tell a story and it's a skill that can be developed. Michelle suggests that to become a better storyteller, you should listen to stories and figure out your own storytelling style. Don't try to be someone else because it will be inauthentic and not work as well. 00:45:30 - Using Storytelling in Business, Michelle explains that storytelling can be used in business to help with change management, persuasive presentations, and creating compelling sales pitches. She recommends using a simple structure to tell stories, answering the questions: what's going on, what did you do, and what happened. The right metaphors and connections can make a story more powerful. 00:48:30 - Connecting Through Stories, Michelle shares that she includes a recipe in her weekly newsletter because food is part of cultural stories. She believes that by sharing stories and experiences, you can create connections with people. Michelle encourages people to use stories to engage with others and make them feel something. 00:49:13 - Conclusion, Melina's top insights from the conversation, a recap of Michelle's three-part storytelling framework, and items for you to consider as you implement what you learned. This week we're covering the artists behind the official White House portraits, the artist and singer-songwriter Issy Wood, enslaved pottery artists, and American outsider artist Nellie Mae Rowe.  Official Obama Portraits Unveiled at the White House  The White House held a ceremony to unveil the official portraits of President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama. Better late than never, right?   Artist Robert McCurdy painted the official portrait of President Obama. He tells his subjects not to smile and to look directly into the camera to capture a transcendental moment.   Michelle Obama selected artist Sharon Sprung. Mrs. Obama's statement about how a girl like her was never meant to be in the White House is inspiring.   For more information on the Smithsonian portraits, check out podcast episode 127, Rise of the Black Portrait Artist  Portrait Artist Sharon Sprung  The identity of the presidential portrait artists is top secret, and it's usually revealed about a year after a former president leaves office.   Sharon Sprung painted the official portrait of first lady Michelle Obama. Although she completed it in 9 months, she had to keep the portrait and the fact that she'd done this important work secret for over 5 years!   She was inspired to paint portraits by the early death and memory of her father.   If you think you'd like to paint portraits, you can take my free class, 5 Simple Steps to Painting Portraits That Your Friends and Family Love  Art and Albums: Artist and Singer Songwriter Issy Wood  Artist and singer-songwriter Issy Woods (as well as Joni Mitchell) proves that it's possible to be a multi-passionate artist.   Her art and her music are provocative, and like the trial-blazer she is, her album is titled My Body Your Choice.   She's outspoken, opinionated, talented, and not afraid to let her art reflect her passions.   If you'd like to know more about how to generate hype around your work, you'll love hearing my conversation with Michael Schein, The Hype Handbook with Michael F. Schein  Enslaved Potters   There is a new exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art - Hear Me Now: The Black Potters of Old Edgefield, South Carolina.   One of the items exhibited by artist Dave Drake is a piece of pottery signed with his name Dave and the word “concatenation”   When I was researching and writing my book, Artpreneur, I was intentional about being inclusive. Too many books about art only talk about white, cisgendered men. Sharing the story of artists like Dave is important to  inspire the next generation of artists.  It isn't out until January, but you can get pre-order bonuses now!  The Art of Nellie Mae Rowe  The American artist Nellie Mae Rowe was in her 60's when she began to transform her Atlanta home into what she called her playhouse. It became a destination for artists until she passed away in 1982.  Check out her art in the book Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe.

Last Saturday Gualter Amarelo talked about the fastest, quickest, and highest-level method to become a millionaire, i.e., through Power of Partnerships. "Without my partners, I wouldn't be where I am today" Watch the video here Power is the potentiality of energy. It is something that exists or is perceived only when it's used. It's the ability to move something. For example, when a battery is simply placed then no one notices it. But if you connect it to power, then it starts providing a lot of energy. In your business, if you are the integrator, if you're the person who has built a good business, a really good product, and you're good at doing and doing and doing, then your right partner would be a marketer, salesperson, a series of salespeople or maybe a sales manager. If you're a salesperson or an influencer with millions of followers, then your right partner would be the person who can deliver just the right product or a series of products. The person who has the biggest audience can make the most money if done right. If you can connect and add value to the person with the biggest audience, you could be making just the same money or close to it, this is how Partnerships make wonders. Now, how do we find the right partner than can make both ourselves a lot of money? When you are looking for a Partner, 6 core principles take you exactly where you ought to be, in terms of partners. These principles are explained by Michael Schein in his course, “Power of Partnerships” available on Alchemist Nation. Every millionaire's goal is to achieve greater economic security and stability so they have multiple sources of income. This is a good way of safeguarding your business against a downturn in one particular stream. It can give you and your business stability and the opportunity to grow. For yesterday's episode of 100 Millionaires Podcast, Gualter Amarelo together with Michael Schein and Mitch Jaworksi shared the most notable 7 Streams of Income that Millionaires have and discussed the ones that make the most sense for wealth builders at all stages. Below are the Seven Streams of Income: 1. Active income 2. Rental Income 3. Dividend Income 4. Interest 5. Capital Gains 6. Profits (from business) 7. Royalties You can have multiple of those streams. We knew young people who had 50 streams, 100 streams. There are the ones who now have seven or five streams. Gary Keller mentioned in one of his books that he had 153 streams of income because he counted every house as a stream of income. This is interesting, right? Gualter shared one of his favorites which is the Rental Income. He used to be a huge fan of dividend income and then he started to look for capital gains because they were easier to make: You don't have to pay any taxes until you finally went and sold the property. Moreover, you can just build your net worth for capital appreciation. Mike mentioned that you can always reinvest your dividends. Mike shared some lithium stocks they invested in as they were getting capital gains. As you may not know, Mike is obsessed with Tesla, so he has done a lot of research. If you start reviewing all the Tesla stuff, you will learn the world is battery-constrained. Fascinating. In the next 10 to 20 maybe 30 years, every battery that any company produces, not just Tesla produces, will be used somewhere either in solar, backup, or cars. What this means is there will be plenty of opportunities. But one of the chemicals that goes into batteries is lithium, and if you do more research online, you will find a bunch of lithium stocks. At the moment, Mike is invested in Sayona Mining, Lake Resources, and Lepidico Ltd. Mitch also shared that he invested in Lake Resources and Novonix. His biggest position on investment is with Lake Resources since his money went tripled. Gualter is also crushing on Core Lithium and Sayona. In the last couple of weeks, people in the Alchemist community have hung out with billionaires, including 10X with Grant Cardone. Gualter and Mike also had an opportunity to hang out with a billionaire who's crushing on his investments and the size of deals and the leverage that they use are what changes the game. Learn how to make "hype" powerfully work for you This was an amazing interview. I met Michael Schein when he interviewed me for an article he was writing for Psychology Today about my podcast, On the Brink with Andi Simon. That's right, the one you are listening to right now. Our conversation led to today's wonderful opportunity to interview him and share his big ideas about how to embrace “hype” and use it to build success. I know “hype” sounds suspect, but in Michael's case, it involves learning about how people make decisions, and how charismatic leaders capture our attention and cause us to follow them, even when what they are pushing is a hoax or a sham. Here's your chance to learn from an expert how to capitalize on hype, in a good way! Watch and listen to our conversation here Grow your big idea into a big success In our talk, Michael outlines some of his tricks so you can try them. Here are several which we use at SAMC, and you can as well: Develop a simple slogan that captures the essence of who you are and what you do. For us, it's "We turn observation into innovation." Produce a visual symbol that stands for you. Make it bold and simple and then imbue it with meaning. Remember how Nike so powerfully did that with their swoosh. To the right is ours: Embrace repetition. You can never say it, sing it, or show it too much. It takes a lot of time for a message to become yours. About Michael Schein  Michael F. The word “hype” is defined as extravagant or intensive publicity and often associated with something considered trivial, faddish, and inconsequential. Hype is used to cloak artifice, create a psychological sleight of hand, and to distract us from normal, rational thought. . At worst, hype is sinister and malign and used to sew division, discord, and resentment. Hype is a key tool in the playbook used by certain political figures on the extremities of the political spectrum, but can hype be positive? Can hype be turned from the malignant to the benign and actually be used as a force for good? Can leaders, organisations, and movements use hype to reinforce their positive purpose and agenda? My guest Michael F Schein  made it his mission to deconstruct 'hype' and  distilled the approach into 12 specific strategies employed by the world's greatest propagandists, self-promoters, cult leaders, mischief-makers, and boundary breakers. His brilliant book "The Hype Handbook' has been described as the Rosetta Stone for spreading the word about an idea, a product, or a service.Looking at HR and Management Thinkers in particular, Michael Schein questions our slavish devotion to individuals such as Simon Sinek.  As Michael says: "... he's not a social scientist. He's not a scientist of any sort. He worked in ad agencies before he became a professional guru. So, his best talent is selling stuff. "Hype aside, this interview is fun, punchy, thought-provoking and alternative.  A real tonic!https://michaelfschein.com

In this episode of the Alchemist Nation Real Estate Podcast, I talk to Michael Schein, The closing Attorney, the book of the week reviewer in the 52 Wealth Principles, and also the co-host of the 100 millionaires podcast. We were joking earlier before that the podcast had run out of guests to host which isn't the truth, in fact, there are so many people that would love to be on this podcast. The real reason why he is back is that the Alchemist Nation Real Estate Podcast is moving into the final stages of a book and the book is called The 100 Millionaires Vol.1 and I want to make sure that he is part of it. Before I get to know what he is doing apparently, I wanted how Mike got into real estate in the first place. He says that they had a start and stumbles like 10 or 15 years ago where they jumped into a property but that time it was kind of accidental because his wife's mom was living with them and it was getting a little crowded for everybody and then the universe manifested a one-bedroom cottage down the streets two miles away which was perfect for Nana. So they snapped it up for like $160K which was a little cottage with beach rights for a lady in England who wasn't going there anymore who sold it to them. Unfortunately, when Brenda's mom passed away, they learned about Airbnb which they did for a whole year, and then they discovered that it would be better to rent it out, so they did and now they have an amazing tenant. Mike offers 3 pieces of advice to 20-year-old Mike on how to be successful. 1) - Jump into real estate early. 2) - Not to wait for Dad's approval on certain things he was doing. 3) - Take more risks and chances. One thing most businesses have in common, especially when it comes to marketing, is they need to get noticed. The attention of followers and potential customers is the key to marketing success. What if you could drastically increase your followers? What if your product or business was at the top of everybody's mind? This recognition would ultimately lead to more sales and business success.    It's actually possible to create legitimate recognition through hype. This is the process of getting more eyeballs on your business by generating and leveraging hype for positive purposes. Hype can be used to create legitimate business success. It can be used to help people. It can also be a catalyst for effecting positive change in your community.    Michael Schein is the author of The Hype Handbook: 12 Indispensable Success Secrets From the World's Greatest Propagandists, Self-Promoters, Cult Leaders, Mischief Makers, and Boundary Breakers. He is here today to talk about how recognition and hype can be used for legitimate business recognition. We get to learn how his book and the idea of hype is the culmination of his life's work. We dive into several of the book's concepts, and Michael breaks it all down along with several real-life examples.   Michael is the CEO of Microfame Media, A marketing agency that turns consultants into celebrities in their chosen niche. He has also facilitated content creation and production for companies like the Medici Group, Magento, LinkedIn, and more. He has a degree from the University of Pennsylvania and got his start at Spin the Bottle Inc., which is the production company behind the VH1 show Pop Up Video. He has wanted to be a writer since he was 5 years old, and he's also a contributor to several major online publications. I'm happy to have him here with us today.   And be sure to subscribe to The Self-Employed Life in Apple podcasts or follow us on Spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts so you don't miss an episode.   Everything you need can all be found at jeffreyshaw.com    Michael Schein thank you so much for being here!   Remember, you might be in business FOR yourself but you are not in business BY yourself.  Be your best self. Sign up here!   Highlights –   [02:34] Michael is excited about his book coming out. It's the culmination of his life's work. He's wanted to be a writer since he was 5 years old. [03:52] Recognition and hype are legitimate strategies in business today. A business's biggest challenge is getting eyeballs. [05:58] Human beings respond emotionally to very different stimuli the same way.  [06:23] Michael defines hype as any activity that creates a large emotional reaction in a large number of people to get them to take an action.  [09:18] It's Michael's goal to help great people doing great things use the strategy of hype. [11:48] Picking fights and making enemies. Michael was struggling to get visibility. He wrote a column disagreeing with Gary Vaynerchuk. He received a personal response from Gary Vaynerchuk.   [14:32] Positioning his ideas against Gary Vaynerchuk's ideas launched his career. [17:14] Tribal mentality. The tribal tendency is why creating the us versus them dynamic works so well. We're all tribal about something like an idea or an identity. [20:22] People often get meaning through their tribal identity.  [21:50] Inverting norms. Not all disruption and publicity is created equal. With inverting norms there is already a conversation or trend happening. You want to ride on the coattails of that by flipping it upside down.  [23:34] An example of inverting norms is when the Rolling Stones became the anti Beatles. [24:06] Find your mini Oprah's. She makes careers. Find your niche or area and find an Oprah equivalent in that space and partner.  [26:28] People struggle with change. Small steps make it much easier. [28:39] Are influencers legitimate? Some are really just a new kind of star, but some really do have influence. If the real influencer spread the word about you, you will become noticed. [31:30] Narrative arc. Everyone thinks of themselves as a protagonist in a drama. If you understand that you aren't the protagonist, but the other people are, and what you are offering is the tool to get them where they want to be. [35:06] Start small and reframe what you're doing to help other people's lives. [35:46] Michael tackles the Rapid Round and shares how he calms himself, why you need to find your mini Oprah, and more.    Guest Contact –   Michael Schein Microfame Media Michael Schein LinkedIn Michael Schein Twitter Michael Schein Facebook The Hype Handbook: 12 Indispensable Success Secrets From the World's Greatest Propagandists, Self-Promoters, Cult Leaders, Mischief Makers, and Boundary Breakers Get the HYPE Book Reading Recommendations   Contact Jeffrey – Website Coaching support My book, LINGO: Discover Your Ideal Customer's Secret Language and Make Your Business Irresistible is now available! This involves moving ourselves in the direction of what makes us grow. Our spirit will guide us because we are designed to follow our dreams and live a joyful, abundant, energetic life. When we follow our dreams, this is when we have the least resistance. Which is the goal isn't it? Sam helps guide his listeners on a journey by motivating them to quiet the nay-sayers around them and go with their own intuition. Sam shares it won't always be easy, but it will lead you to happiness. *Segment 2* Sam welcomes Founder, President and Author, Michael Schein. Michael tells the story of how he found himself deep into the corporate world after his dreams had quote on quote “failed.” After years of moving up the corporate ladder, Michael decided he had enough savings to quit his position of VP. He found himself wanting more and starting from scratch, which he says took a lot of courage to come to terms with and even more to take action. *Segment 3* Michael talks politics and blames the aftermath of the pandemic on the current president of the United States, President Donald J. Trump. Michael suggests that his opponent in the 2020 election, Vice President Biden, will be able to stop the virus in a way Trump could not. He says he is shocked Trump's supporters haven't switched sides because previous presidents lost their supporters over “gas prices.” *Segment 4* Sam asks Michael to share his insight on how someone can cope with the bad things they've done. Michael says the most evil person he writes about in his book is Charles Manson. He talks of his time emerging from prison and how he found middle class kids to bounce ideas off of. He used a strategy of asking questions until he essentially guided them into “coming up with” whatever idea he wanted them to. This leads them into deeper discussion of cults. How do you feel about marketing? If you’re in sales or have a business, it may be your life blood. But we are all consumers, and sometimes we may feel a bit overwhelmed, spammed and scammed. If that resonates with you, then you’re going to like this episode with Michael Schein, sort of a guerrilla Seth Godin in my opinion.  Michael is the CEO of MicroFame Media, a digital marketing company that implements systems and process that turn businesses into recognized authorities in their fields. His approach is as refreshing as it is successful. He has created or facilitated the production of content for companies such as eBay, LinkedIn, TESLA, and Citrix to name a few. Michael graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with Honors and got his start at Spin the Bottle, the production company behind the VH1 hit show, Pop Up Video. He also created, ran, and moderated the New York Tech Alliance’s Interactive Marketing panel series. Michael was an original co-host of the podcast “Access to Anyone” with Michael Roderick, he writes regularly for publications such as Fortune, Forbes.com, Huffington Post, and Inc. I first came across his work via two pieces he had written—one on Tony Robins and the other on Gary Vaynerchuk, both of which took a bit of a different view than that of many—somewhat of an Emperor and no clothes perspective, and I liked that. No drinking of the Kool Aide in this episode where he discusses the response he got back from Gary following his post, and the counter-tribe that evolved following that. In some ways, this may be one of the most controversial episodes to date, as Michael takes on some of the proverbial sacred cows of the marketing industry with an intelligent and informed point of view. It’s not to be missed no matter what you do. Michael is a sharp-witted writer in an entrepreneur’s clothing. His perspectives on “hype” are historically informed and used for good rather than evil. He lives his life in full, and is not afraid to take more challenging, authentic paths in his work.

Michael Roderick is the Founder of Small Pond Enterprises LLC., a company that offers consulting services, workshops, and events to promote and facilitate entrepreneurship and connecting opportunities. This episode is created for people who want to learn more about: How to navigate significant shifts in careers (average employment today in 2018 is 4.6 years) How to gain access to anyone, across industries  Michael went through a number of significant and unlikely career changes. For example, he went from working as a high school teacher to a successful Broadway producer in under two years. He founded The Connecting Connectors Conference (ConnectorCon). He also started an arts incubator program to teach more artists about building and growing their own businesses (PLAE). Access to Anyone is Michael Roderick's podcast, which he co-hosted with Michael Schein.  Careers, especially the ones where you find fulfillment and desire to stick to for a long time, don't surface on their own. His podcast explores the tools, methods, and technology that will get you the meetings, friends, and connections you want. What I personally love the most about the show is that it's rich in content and lighthearted in execution. One approach that I can relate to the most is the idea to Connect Across Industries. Because our own podcast, Feisoworld, has historically gone after people from different walks of life, many of the guests have come together to start new and interesting projects, such as video production and web development. We've heard a lot of you reach out and ask a simple question: How do I find a mentor? Most of us realize that we can live a richer life by upgrading the five people we spend the most time with, but first, we need guidance from people who have already achieved what we want to achieve. We were honored to have Geoff Woods featured on the Access to Anyone podcast with Michael Schein & Michael Roderick, and the episode was so valuable that we wanted to share it with you. This conversation will help you build real relationships, improve your networking, and find a mentor that will help you achieve more.   The ONE Thing to Implement From This Episode: Today, in just one interaction, approach someone with the intention of being more interested in them than trying to get them to think you're interesting. Can you approach them with a sincere and genuine curiosity about where they need help, and if you can help them? You may be surprised by the reaction.   In this episode you will learn... [5:50] How you can build better relationships with ONE simple lesson. [9:10] Why high achievers give without expecting anything in return. [16:00] How you can make an appealing ask and avoid taking from potential mentors. [23:20] How to choose where to invest your most valuable asset – your time. [34:45] Why you should make goals based on what matters to you (and how to ignore what society says your goals should be).
