Send us a textII Corinthians 2 Paul explains that he is postponing his trip to Corinth to avoid causing great sorrow. He writes this letter, urging the church to forgive and restore a repentant member who had previously been disciplined, emphasizing that excessive punishment could lead to despair. Paul reminds them that forgiveness strengthens unity and prevents Satan from exploiting their division. He then describes his ministry, explaining how God guides believers in a triumphant mission to spread the fragrance of Christ everywhere. For those who will be saved, the message is received openly as a welcomed scent, while those who reject it perceive the gospel as the smell of death. For Paul and believers, the responsibility remains to keep sharing the truth sincerely with everyone.  The most essential mission in life is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. Many may not listen, but the Word of God is powerful when it touches receptive hearts. Our goal, like that of the apostles, is to genuinely share the Lord with others. Satan's mission is to hinder us. He uses many tactics, one of which is to keep God's people focused on each other in unproductive ways. Sometimes, this means continuing to punish, judge, or remain distant from a Christian long after they have repented. This creates division and serves the adversary's will. We must forgive our fellow believers for any offenses so we can unite in Christ and engage in His important work.  Benevolent God, thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness. Teach us to extend that same grace to others, restoring those who repent with love instead of judgment. Help us to stand firm against the enemy's schemes, uniting in Christ rather than allowing division to take root. May our lives spread the fragrance of Christ, bringing life to those who seek You. Keep our hearts sincere as we share the gospel, not for personal gain but for Your glory. Lead us in triumph, reminding us that we are called to reflect Your love and the truth about Jesus in the world.  Thought Questions: -       Why does Paul emphasize the importance of forgiving a repentant believer, and how important is it to do so fully and with openly shown love? -       How does a lack of forgiveness or affection toward a brother give Satan opportunities? What will he try to do in those situations? -       What does it mean to be “a fragrance of Christ to God” among the world? How will that assignment affect your daily behavior and attitude?

Sunday Service: Revelation 2:12–17 is a message from Jesus to the church in Pergamum, a city known as the place "where Satan has his throne." Jesus introduces Himself as the one with the sharp two-edged sword, symbolizing His authority, judgment, and the piercing power of God's Word to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. He commends the church for holding fast to their faith even in the face of martyrdom, but rebukes them for tolerating false teachers like the Nicolaitans who were leading God's people into sexual immorality and idolatry. The issue of eating food offered to idols wasn't about the food itself, but the spiritual compromise and confusion it created among believers. Jesus calls the church to repent—meaning to change their way of thinking to align with God's truth—or else He will personally confront and remove the corrupting influence. He is not fighting the faithful but the deceivers among them. To those who overcome, Jesus promises hidden manna (salvation in Jesus), a white stone (symbolizing acquittal, victory, and acceptance), and a new name—representing a personal, intimate identity in Christ known only to the one who receives it. Why is it important to live a holy life? In the sixth episode of "Holiness," Duane Sheriff challenges common misconceptions about holiness and presents a grace-based perspective on righteous living. Holiness is not about earning God's love or salvation but rather about living out our new nature in Christ, loving God and others, and preventing Satan from gaining influence in our lives. This episode connects love and holiness, referencing Romans 6, which teaches that we are dead to sin and alive in Christ. Our new identity encourages us to live differently—not out of obligation but as a natural expression of our transformed selves. Holiness becomes a natural outflow of God's love in our lives rather than a burdensome list of dos and don'ts.https://pastorduane.com/holiness/

“Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes.” (2 Corinthians 2:11 NLT) Last month, we focused on the topic of revival, beginning or re-energizing a personal relationship with Christ. But we need to be aware that revival never goes unopposed. If the devil sees the embers of a spiritual awakening or renewal, he will do everything he can to douse them. So, in the next few weeks, we’re going to look at ways to protect ourselves from his attacks. The first thing we need to know about our enemy is that he tends to use the same tactics over and over again. I suppose he operates by the old adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” He has used the same techniques and plans since the Garden of Eden, and they have worked with great effect to bring down countless people. Therefore, he just keeps bringing them back, generation after generation. That’s the bad news. The good news is that we know how to plan for them. That’s why the apostle Paul wrote, “Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes” (2 Corinthians 2:11 NLT). The devil’s strategies are no mystery to people who study Scripture. The apostle Peter wrote, “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8 NLT). Paul wrote, “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14 NLT). And Jesus Himself said, “He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44 NLT). Because he’s a master of disguise and a skilled liar, we must always be on guard. One of his go-to moves is to catch you off guard with a temptation that exploits a vulnerable area of your life. He’ll make the temptation as enticing as possible while downplaying its harmful potential. He’ll whisper things like, “Trust me on this. Stop resisting and give in to your desires. Live a little. Quit thinking about the consequences. You can get away with it. Who’s it going to hurt?” So, you take the bait and give in to temptation. And that’s when the devil shouts, “What a hypocrite! Do you think God would ever hear your prayers after what you’ve done? And don’t even bother showing your face in church again!” Sadly, many people fall for his routine and allow their guilt and shame to separate them from God, His Word, and His people—the things they need most. Just remember, no matter what you’ve done, no matter what temptation you’ve given in to, no matter what sin you’ve committed, God is always ready to forgive you if you’ll turn away from your sin and return to Him. Don’t let the devil isolate you from God’s Word and God’s people, because that’s exactly what he’s trying to do. Don’t let the devil outsmart you. Meat During the Nine Days – Ill Patients, Children, Se'udat Misva

Although it is customary to refrain from eating meat during the Nine Days (from the 2 nd of Ab through Tisha B'Ab), Hacham Ovadia Yosef ruled that eating meat is allowed for health purposes. For example, if a physician advised a patient to eat meat for his health, or if a patient is recovering from illness or from a procedure and he wishes to eat meat to make him feel stronger, he may do so. In fact, Hacham Ovadia ruled that since meat during the Nine Days is forbidden by force of custom, and not according to the strict Halacha, there is room to allow anyone who feels a medical need to eat meat to do so. However, Hacham Ovadia cautioned that a healthy person who has no need for meat, but simply wants to eat some meat during the Nine Days, must not do so, and violating this custom without a valid reason constitutes a grievous sin. Additionally, if a patient's medical need can be met by eating fish, then this should be preferred. A pregnant woman who experiences a craving for meat may – and, in fact, must – be given meat, as failing to satisfy a craving for a particular food during pregnancy could endanger the fetus. A woman within thirty days after childbirth, and a woman who is nursing an infant, may eat meat in order to maintain her strength. Hacham Ovadia considered the possibility of allowing even a woman during menstruation to eat meat if she feels the need, as she might be weakened by the loss of blood, though he remained uncertain about this leniency. One who eats meat during the Nine Days for medical reasons does not require Hatarat Nedarim (annulment of vows) before eating meat. Normally, one who discontinues a custom must first perform Hatarat Nedarim, but in this case, since the custom allows eating meat for health purposes, the patient does not break the "vow" by eating meat. However, a patient with a chronic condition that will always require him to eat meat during the Nine Days, who thus needs to permanently discontinue the practice of refraining from meat, should perform Hatarat Nedarim. Is it permissible to feed meat to children during the Nine Days? When it comes to non-kosher food, there is a debate among the Rishonim as to whether one may feed children food that is forbidden Mi'de'rabbanan – by force of Rabbinic enactment. All agree that one may not feed a child food that the Torah itself forbids, but the Rashba (Rav Shlomo Ben Aderet of Barcelona, Spain, 1235-1310) maintained that foods proscribed by the Rabbis may be fed to children. According to the Rashba, it would certainly be permissible to feed children meat during the Nine Days, as meat is forbidden in this period only by force of custom. The Rambam, however, ruled that no forbidden food may be fed to children, even food which the Torah permits but the Sages prohibited. Accordingly, the Mishna Berura ruled that one may not feed meat even to very young children during the Nine Days. Hacham Ovadia Yosef, however, disagreed, arguing that meat is not forbidden at all during the Nine Days, and we refrain from meat only by force of custom. Moreover, the Magen Abraham (Rav Abraham Gombiner, Poland, 1635-1682) maintained that the custom to refrain from meat during the Nine Days from the outset did not include children. Another reason to permit feeding meat to children is that according to some opinions, this custom has the status of a vow, and children are allowed to eat food proscribed merely by force a vow. Additionally, a number of Poskim noted the frailty of children, particularly in modern times, such that denying meat to children who are accustomed to eating meat could adversely affect their health. And, it is permissible to feed children food whose permissibility is subject to a debate among the Poskim, and the practice to refrain from meat during the Nine Days is not universally accepted. For all these reasons, Hacham Ovadia maintained that children should not be denied meat during the Nine Days. The only exception he made was for a twelve-year-old boy, who, since he will soon become a bar-mitzvah, should be trained not to eat meat during this period. (It is worth noting that when it comes to fasting, Hacham Ovadia felt very strongly that children should not be allowed to fast, as they require food for their health. He ruled that children under the age of bar-mitzvah – even twelve-year-olds – should not fast, even on Yom Kippur, and that Rabbis should announce in the synagogue on Yom Kippur that parents should return home to make sure their children eat.) It is permissible during the Nine Days to eat meat and drink wine at a Se'udat Misva – meaning, a meal that constitutes a Misva. One who wishes to eat meat at a Se'udat Misva does not require Hatarat Nedarim, because the custom itself allows eating meat at such an event, and thus the "vow" is not being broken. One example is the meal celebrating a Berit Mila. All guests who were invited to participate in the meal may partake of meat and wine, but clearly a person who does not know the family cannot just show up at the meal in order to enjoy meat and wine. Although it is permissible to eat meat at a Berit, one may not take some meat home from the meal; eating meat is allowed only at the meal itself. The leftover meat should either be frozen or distributed to the needy. However, the infant's father, the Mohel and the Sandak are allowed to eat meat that entire day. For them, the day of the Berit is a Yom Tob, and so they may eat meat at any point during that day, even after the meal. Meat may be eaten at a Berit even in the case of a "Mila She'lo Bi'zmanah" – a Berit that was performed after the infant's eighth day because he was sick and unfit for circumcision on the eighth day. However, if the baby was deemed healthy enough for a Berit Mila before the Nine Days, the Berit may not be delayed until the Nine Days for the purpose of serving meat and wine, as it is forbidden to unnecessarily delay a Berit. And if the Berit was unnecessarily postponed until the Nine Days, meat and wine may not be eaten at the meal. Hacham Bension Abba Shaul (Israel, 1924-1998) ruled that if the Berit was cancelled at the last minute because the infant became sick and unfit for circumcision, the meat that was prepared for the Se'uda may be eaten, despite the fact that no Berit took place. He bases this ruling on the principle that if a person genuinely tried performing a Misva, but was unsuccessful due to circumstances beyond his control, he is nevertheless credited with the fulfillment of a Misva. Since he planned to perform the Misva and attempted to do so, he receives credit for a Misva despite the outcome. Hence, if the infant suddenly became unfit for Berit Mila, the parents are nevertheless considered to have fulfilled the Misva of giving him a Berit that day, and thus the meal qualifies as a Se'udat Misva, where meat and wine may be served. The customary Zohar recitation conducted on the night before a Berit does not qualify as a Se'udat Misva, and thus meat may not be eaten at this event. This is the ruling of Hacham Ovadia Yosef. The meal at a Pidyon Ha'ben is considered a Se'udat Misva, and thus meat is allowed. If a boy turns thirteen during the Nine Days, and a meal is held on his birthday to celebrate the occasion, then this meal qualifies as a Se'udat Misva, and meat may be served. However, if the meal is held on a different day, and not on his birthday, then meat may not be eaten at the meal. If the boy's birthday is Ereb Rosh Hodesh Ab, the meal should be postponed until after Tisha B'Ab. A Siyum celebration following the completion of the study of a Masechet (tractate of Gemara) constitutes a Se'udat Misva, and meat may be eaten at such an event. All those invited to participate in the meal may eat meat, even if they were not involved at all in the learning of the Masechet. If a Siyum is made in a meat restaurant, those who happen to be in the restaurant may listen to the Siyum and eat meat (though it would certainly be inappropriate to intentionally go around to meat restaurants in the hope of finding a Siyum). Hacham Ovadia Yosef ruled that it is permissible to specifically schedule the completion of a Masechet for the Nine Days, though one who finished a Masechet before the Nine Days may not intentionally leave the final line for the Nine Days for the purpose of eating meat. Although some people look askance at the widespread practice to arrange Siyum celebrations for the Nine Days in order to permit meat, many great Rabbis not only approved of this practice, but even encouraged it. Some explained that by celebrating Torah learning we actually make a significant contribution to the rebuilding of the Bet Ha'mikdash. And it is told that the Ba'al Shem Tob (founder of Hasidism, 1698-1760) specifically arranged his Torah learning such that he would make a Siyum during the Nine Days – not because he craved meat and wine, but rather because this weakened the power of the Satan. The Satan wields great strength during this time of year, and one way we overpower the Satan is by increasing our Torah learning and celebrating our learning accomplishments. In fact, the letters that spell Satan's name – Samech, Mem, Alef and Lamed – can be read as an acrostic representing the phrase "Siyum Masechet En La'asot" – "Do not make a Siyum of a Masechet," or "Se'udat Misva En La'asot" – "Do not make a Se'udat Misva." The Satan specifically does not want us to conduct Siyum celebrations, and so we are encouraged to do so during this period when the Satan's strength is at its height. Thus, as many great Sages encouraged making Siyum celebrations during the Nine Days – and especially in light of the fact that to begin with, meat and wine are forbidden during this period only by force of custom – one should not object to those who make Siyumim for the sake of permitting meat and wine. Hacham Ovadia writes that it is improper for several people to divide a Masechet between them, such that each studies only a small portion, for the sake of conducting a joint Siyum. The Jewish community of Izmir, Turkey, had the custom not to allow meat at a Siyum during the Nine Days, and to eat fish, instead. Hacham Ovadia ruled that members of that community who settled in Eretz Yisrael may adopt the lenient practice of eating meat at a Siyum. A mourner in the twelve-month period of mourning for a parent, Heaven forbid, may attend a Siyum celebration as long as no music is played. As music is not permitted at a Se'udat Misva during the Nine Days, a mourner is allowed to attend and partake of meat and wine.

The changes were on the second floor immediately above that pile where two small offices had just become one large office. A man from our staff went in, and went after that temporary wall that divided the people in that room, and ripped it out in no time. I'll tell you, it felt pretty different in there with that wall gone! Wish they were all that easy to tear down. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "The Great Wall Destroyer." Let's go to another upstairs room with a lot of walls in it. This room is an upper room in Acts 2, where we find our word for today from the Word of God. In a sense, there were a lot of walls there. It tells us when the disciples arrived they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. And then it lists some of the people who were there. It mentions Peter. Of course, Peter was very different from somebody else listed there, like Thomas. Peter was sort of a walking gland; he's like all emotions. Thomas - not his type. Thomas - cerebral, the thinker - always got an intellectual question. And then it talks about Matthew. Well, he had worked for the government as a tax collector. And then it mentions Simon the Zealot. He'd been a revolutionary, trying to overthrow the very same government that Matthew worked for. In fact, only a few weeks before, all of these guys who were in this upper room together, had been arguing over who was going to be the greatest. They were, each one, trying to win "king of the hill" against each other. Listen to what happens. "They all joined constantly in prayer." Chapter 2, verse 1: "On the Day of Pentecost they were all together in one place." Chapter 2, verse 42 says, "The new Christians had devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." That word fellowship is koinonia; it means intimate closeness. Verse 44: "After they prayed together, all the believers were together and had everything in common." The book of Acts goes on talking about times when the people will pray together and it literally brings them together. Listen, if you want to tear down a wall between rooms, use a crowbar. If you want to tear down walls between people, you use prayer. You can't get really, really close until you really, really pray together. Oh, sure, sometimes prayer can be a time when people still keep their masks on, keep it superficial, stick to the general praying kind of stuff. But real prayer is where people come together and express how they really need the Lord. You know, worship Him with specific thanks for specific things He's done recently. You fight together on your knees for the lives of people you care about. You come against Satan. You come against the stronghold of darkness that you both know is there. You admit your struggle, you passionately seek His strength, His answers, and walls start coming down. Every married couple needs to pray together daily. It is the ultimate glue between people: Christian coworkers, parents and their children, Christian friends, even if it starts out feeling awkward. Go to your Father together. In fact, the person you're having the most difficulty with is probably the one you most need to be praying with. When we go into the Father's presence sort of distant from each other, we almost always come out of His presence closer. Prayer softens hearts; prayer helps us see people and situations through God's eyes. And prayer is the great wall destroyer.

He urges believers to watch out for those who cause divisions and teach contrary to sound doctrine, warning that such people deceive others with smooth words and serve their own desires rather than Christ. He commends the Roman believers for their obedience but encourages them to be wise about what is good and innocent about what is evil. Paul assures them that God will soon crush Satan under their feet. He then sends greetings from his co-laborers and concludes with a doxology, giving glory to God who is able to establish them through the gospel and the revelation of Jesus Christ, a mystery once hidden but now revealed to bring all nations to obedience of faith. Growing In God with Gary Hargrave

Growing In God Podcast   Web Description: How do we walk through the end times? By walking with God! It is during these times that Christ's redemption and the Kingdom of God are nearer to us than ever before. Therefore, we look up. We are not focused on what is happening in the world. We are already seated with Christ in the heavenly places. And from there we appropriate His great power to be His effective instruments in the world.   Show Notes: It is easy to study the Bible at home or in a nice study group. But it is in circumstances that challenge us and demand something of us personally where we begin to implement what we have studied in the Bible. We need an atmosphere where we can turn our knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures into an enabling to walk in and execute what we have learned. This shows us how to think about the end times.   We can look at all the turmoil and spiritual conflict in the world and be concerned, even fearful, that we are entering the end times. But the end-time offers us a unique opportunity to have our faith tested and refined like pure gold. These times enable us to reach into the power of the Holy Spirit and move in the gifts and ministries required for this day. You could say, “But the events will be so terrifying that people's hearts will fail them out of fear!” It all depends on what you are focused on.   Yeshua (Jesus) said, “When you see these things happen, look up! Lift up your heads because your salvation is drawing near. The Kingdom of God is near!” Put your focus on Christ who is seated in the heavenly places with the Father, who in His great love has also seated us there with Him. We are able now to dwell in His Kingdom. It is closer in these times than it has ever been. Now is the time to look up and reach into this great authority and power the Father has given us in Christ. We take this opportunity to appropriate everything we have learned in the Scriptures and apply them.   Key Verses:   •       Matthew 16:21–23. “But He turned and said to Peter, ‘Get behind Me, Satan!'” •       Luke 22:31–32. “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat.” •       1 Peter 1:6–7. “… the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold.” •       Malachi 3:3. “He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold.” •       Luke 21:25–28. “When these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads.” •       Luke 21:29–31. “When you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.” •       Ephesians 2:1–6. “God … seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”   Quotes:   •       “We can't just study the Scriptures. We can't just talk about our faith and have that faith disconnected from what is necessary for us to walk in these things.” •       “The Kingdom of God is near to us, and we can bring ourselves into that Kingdom. We can experience the things of the Kingdom, the fulfillments of the Kingdom now, if we are looking up.” •       “If God made this available that He has raised us up—it's past tense. Don't say, ‘Well, when I die, I am going to heaven.' No. When we're here right now, we have the ability to rise up and be with Him where He is at the right hand of the Father and to move in our walk with God from that place.”   Takeaways:   1.    We live in the age where God has placed us. We should be grateful to Him that we are a part of His family and part of those who are walking in the knowledge of the gospel during these times. 2.    When you are in a time of need, you learn to appropriate all that the Scriptures are saying. So rather than succumbing to fearfulness about the end times, we should recognize the opportunity that we have as individual believers to walk in these days in a way that glorifies the Lord, brings His strength and blessing, and appropriates all that we need. 3.    In the end times the Lord commands us to look up because His redemption and His Kingdom draw near. In these difficult times we have a greater ability to minister God's redemption to the world and to walk in His Kingdom. 4.    We are to be in the heavenly places seated with Christ and the Father in the Holy Spirit. From there we move in the earth as God's chosen people and His instruments right now in this day and through the time of the end.

Here's one fun question to ask at a dinner party: What is your favorite conspiracy theory? There's the idea that the CIA killed John F. Kennedy. The moon landing was fake, and 9/11 was an inside job. Covid was designed by the Gates Foundation to control the world—and the Covid vaccine had a microchip. There's the deep state. Chemtrails. QAnon. The Illuminati. Reptilian overlords. Pizzagate—which says that high-ranking Democrats were running a child sex-trafficking ring out of a D.C. pizzeria. That one, Pizzagate, is rivaled only by the idea that there is a group of Satan-worshipping globalists and Hollywood celebrities who traffic children in order to harvest adrenochrome, a chemical which, in this scenario, is extracted from their blood. Why? It's obvious: They inject it in order to stay young. It's easy to joke about these theories. It's much harder to reckon with the fact that many Americans believe them sincerely—and their justification is grounded in the fact that some conspiracy theories turn out to not be theories, but fact. The government was poisoning alcohol during Prohibition. The FBI was illegally spying on civil-rights activists like MLK. The U.S. government did let some few hundred black men with syphilis go untreated to study the effects. And Covid likely came from a lab in Wuhan, China.  The question is how to tolerate and even encourage healthy speculation and investigation? How do we allow for skepticism of received wisdom, which may actually be wrong, without it leading to reptilian Jewish overlords?  In the past few weeks, the speculation surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's life and death is a perfect example of this conundrum. It's a story filled with smoke and unanswered questions: How did Epstein get so rich in the first place? Was his wealth connected to his crimes? Was he acting alone? Was there a client list—and if so, who was on it? Why did he get such a sweetheart deal? And on and on. And then things get more far-fetched: Was Epstein's suicide faked? Who could have killed him? Was he connected to foreign intelligence? And my favorite: Was he running a Jewish cabal? To help us understand why conspiracy theories are so compelling—and how we might better engage with those who believe them—is Ross Douthat. Ross Douthat is an opinion columnist at The New York Times and host of the Interesting Times podcast. He has been covering conspiratorial thinking—how to understand it, and what to do about it—for years. In 2020, he wrote: “It's a mistake to believe most conspiracy theories, but it's also a mistake to assume that they bear no relation to reality. Some are just insane emanations or deliberate misinformation. But others exaggerate and misread important trends rather than denying them, or offer implausible explanations for mysteries that nonetheless linger unexplained.” Which we thought perfectly encapsulated the conundrum of handling conspiracy theories today. So today on Honestly, Bari asks Ross: What is the state of conspiracy theories in America? How do we dispel conspiracy theories that are clearly false—without relying on establishment sources the public no longer trusts? And what are the consequences when these theories go unchecked? “Tú has enviado Tu Palabra a mi corazón. Redemption E8 — Both in his public ministry and sacrificial death, Jesus redeems people from humanity's cosmic “pharaohs,” the Satan, sin, and death. Jesus' miracles show more clearly how this redemption works, but he says very little about how his death serves as a redemption. In fact, the most substantial thing we get is his symbolic body and blood language during the Last Supper Passover meal. And even this still feels cryptic! Later in the New Testament, one writer offers much more explanation on how Jesus' death works to redeem people. In this episode, Jon and Tim explore the letter to the Romans, where the Apostle Paul crafts a detailed explanation of how Jesus joins with us in death to transfer us from the domain of death into his Kingdom of life.CHAPTERSRecap and Setup for the Apostle Paul (0:00-15:09)Paul's Condensed Redemption Story (15:09-22:03)A Gift of Redemption in Romans 3 (22:03-44:21)The Transfer from Death to Life in Romans 6 (44:21-58:34)OFFICIAL EPISODE TRANSCRIPTView this episode's official transcript.REFERENCED RESOURCESYou can view annotations for this episode—plus our entire library of videos, podcasts, articles, and classes—in the BibleProject app, available for Android and iOS.Check out Tim's extensive collection of recommended books here.SHOW MUSIC“Mist Of Blessing ft. Follow Everyday Prayers @MillionPrayingMoms A Prayer for Church HurtReference: Psalm 94:19 Can we truly find joy and comfort in God's promises even in moments of suffering, even suffering caused by another believer? Today's prayer is a reminder that we can cling to God's truth in the face of oppression and remember that while Satan seeks to divide the church, God's Word is our anchor. Through scripture and prayer, we are encouraged to resist the temptation to withdraw from God and instead seek comfort, healing, and strength in His Word. Prayer Father, I so easily become anxious and look for ways that I can control what's going on around me. Yet all I need to do is simply lift my eyes to you and offer you my anxiety. Thank you for the reminder in Psalm 46 -10 to be still and know that you are God. For your word is the only place that I find comfort and refreshment. Your consolation brings me joy in the midst of difficult circumstances. In Jesus' name, amen.
