April marked a very special month for the Listen Up Landlords team, with our first LIVE podcast recording – complete with studio audience – at Manchester's MediaCity. Hot on the heels of our 50th episode earlier this year our team of expert speakers addressed all the major issues affecting the sector at the moment, from the impact of the impending Renters' Rights Bill to proposed new Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards. William Reeve, chief executive of Goodlord and Carlyn Jermyn, solicitor and chief executive of Woodstock Legal Services discussed the Renters' Rights Bill, with Anna Moore, chief executive of retrofit experts – and event sponsors – Domna and James Kent, chief innovation officer at the NRLA and founder of Safe2 taking on Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES). Experienced investor, developer and NRLA trainer Henry Davis and James Donohue of Landlord Property Exchange completed the line-up, looking at the health of the sector – and any up-and-coming investment hotspots. Fronted, as ever, by our presenters NRLA chief executive Ben Beadle and landlord Richard Blanco, the chat show-style discussion covered everything from how landlords could get caught out under the new Bill, to what you can do now to prepare for change up ahead – with the panel also answering questions submitted by NRLA members. To watch Listen Up landlords Live! in the studio click here. As ever, if you enjoy the show, please spread the word on your social media channels using the hashtag #listenuplandlords. Today we head back to the vitally important issue of housing and attempt to understand the UK's complex, and some might say, largely dysfunctional housing retrofit market. It is a market that is rapidly evolving, driven by ambitious government policies, rising energy costs, and increasing public demand for sustainable, lower cost living. But with a housing stock that is among the oldest in Europe, the UK faces significant headwinds to meet this challenge. But my guest today has embraced this challenge whole heartedly and two years ago quit a successful career with global consultancy McKinsey and Co to strike out on her own. Anna Moore formed Hestia, now rebranded as Domna, as a brand-new business to transform our approach to domestic retrofit and, at the same time, lever in large amounts of much needed private sector investment. It's a tough market. Because, as Anna knows I am sure, while the government's commitment to building 1.5 million new homes continues to grab the headlines as the key to driving up living standards and revitalising communities, the need to retrofit our huge existing stock has been left something of an overlooked, Cinderella sector.Yes, recent initiatives, such as the Future Homes Standard and the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund – now renamed the Warm Homes Grant, have boosted the focus on retrofitting to enhance energy efficiency, lower emissions, and reduce fuel poverty. And the market is seeing growing interest in innovations like heat pumps, solar panels, insulation upgrades, and smart energy systems. However, the sector faces hurdles, including supply chain constraints, skilled labour shortages, and the challenge of balancing affordability with high-quality retrofits. That said Anna has just secured a £70M cash injection into the business which she hopes will open up a £500bn opportunity that will help the business to play a critical role in creating healthier, more efficient homes for residents. So, let's find out how. ResourcesAbout Domna GroupInsights from Donna Group on retrofittingDomna post on £70 financing dealBuilding Centre New Homes in New Ways ExhibitionAnna Moore Linked In

While there have been significant improvements in breast cancer detection and treatment, the outlook for metastatic breast cancer remains bleak, with only a 30% five-year survival rate. This is largely due to existing therapies' inability to effectively target the unique characteristics of metastatic cells. One key factor in metastasis is miR-10b, a small noncoding RNA known to influence cancer cell invasion, migration, viability, and proliferation. In their paper, researchers Alan Halim, Nasreen Al-Qadi, Elizabeth Kenyon, Kayla N. Conner, Sujan Kumar Mondal, Zdravka Medarova, and Anna Moore from Michigan State University's Precision Health Program, College of Human Medicine, and College of Veterinary Medicine, and Transcode Therapeutics Inc. in Newton, Massachusetts, shared findings showing that inhibiting miR-10b impairs breast cancer cell stemness. Their research paper, entitled, “Inhibition of miR-10b treats metastatic breast cancer by targeting stem cell-like properties” was published in Volume 15 of Oncotarget on August 26, 2024. BUFFALO, NY- August 28, 2024 – A new #research paper was #published in Oncotarget's Volume 15 on August 26, 2024, entitled, “Inhibition of miR-10b treats metastatic breast cancer by targeting stem cell-like properties.” As stated within the Abstract of the paper, despite advances in breast cancer screening and treatment, the prognosis for metastatic disease remains dismal, with only a 30% five-year survival rate. This poor outcome is largely due to the failure of current therapeutics to target the unique properties of metastatic cells. One of the key drivers of metastasis is miR-10b, a small noncoding RNA implicated in cancer cell invasion, migration, viability, and proliferation. Researchers Alan Halim, Nasreen Al-Qadi, Elizabeth Kenyon, Kayla N. Conner, Sujan Kumar Mondal, Zdravka Medarova, and Anna Moore from Michigan State University's Precision Health Program, College of Human Medicine, and College of Veterinary Medicine, and Transcode Therapeutics Inc. in Newton, Massachusetts, provide transcriptional evidence that inhibiting miR-10b with MN-anti-miR10b—a nanodrug designed to deliver anti-miR-10b antisense oligomers to cancer cells—activates developmental processes in cancer cells. They observed increased miR-10b expression in stem-like cancer cells. In mouse models of metastatic triple-negative breast cancer, MN-anti-miR10b has been shown to prevent the onset of metastasis and eliminate existing metastases when combined with chemotherapy, even after treatment has been discontinued. "Our results demonstrate that inhibition of miR-10b using MN-anti-miR10b decreases the stemness of breast cancer cells, supporting dedifferentiation as a mechanism through which the nanodrug may function as a therapy." Mike Di Lorenzo has a history in music that is marked by passion, devotion, and an unwavering quest for musical brilliance. Di Lorenzo's musical foundation was established at an early age, within the context of the culturally diverse United States. His first musical instrument was the piano, which he soon found to be an extension of his own expression. The silky sounds of R&B, the emotional depth of jazz, and the emotive intensity of soul music had a profound effect on him as a young performer. Both Mike Di Lorenzo's musical prowess and his educational background are astounding. He refined his craft in esteemed universities, delving deeply into the theoretical and technical facets of music while ever losing sight of its fundamental emotional content. His reputation has grown over time as a creative and adaptable musician who can merge genres with ease and produce music that has a profound emotional impact. Throughout his career, Mike Di Lorenzo has collaborated with numerous talented artists, each partnership adding a new dimension to his musical repertoire. His collaborations with Anna Moore have been particularly noteworthy. They have collaborated to produce a number of songs that, with their combination of technical mastery and intense emotion, have mesmerized listeners. Their reputation as a formidable combination in the music business has been cemented by hits like “Holding All My Love,” “Play It Cool,” and “What We Need.” With the release of their single, “It Wasn't You,” on June 28th, 2024, Mike Di Lorenzo and Anna Moore have once again demonstrated their musical harmony.
Mike Di Lorenzo has explored everything from R&B and Jazz to Latin and Gospel and everything in between, backing up and recording with a wide range of artists in the New York area. In addition to his love for jazz, Mike has performed with a wide range of artists including Whitney Houston, Cissy Houston and the grammy-award winning NJ Mass Choir, Gerald Alston, Regina Belle to Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry, to name a few. His current collaboration with the one and only Anna Moore in creating, “It Wasn't You” has a mystical quality throughout. Your soul will definitely tingle as you listen to this exquisite fusion of jazz, R&B, and soul. This song demonstrates Mike Di Lorenzo and Anna Moore's extraordinary talent and chemistry. It is astounding what they are capable of producing such a technically flawless and intensely emotive piece of music. The music evoked strong emotions in me as I listened, leaving a lasting impression long after the last note faded. For everyone who values music's artistic quality and its profound ability to affect one's spirit, this song is a must-listen.

Local Artist Anna Moore sits down with Host, Kaylin RIchardson, to chat about her work on the Burns Reimagined art installation at Deer Valley. For this project, upcycled chairs from the recently retired Burns Chairlift, one of the first chairlifts at the resort and a staple for Ski School, served as a blank canvas for each artist to design and capture the essence of Deer Valley. From stunning scenics to portraits of Deer Valley legends like Stein Eriksen, they delivered — and you can now find these chairlifts-turned-masterpieces displayed around Deer Valley. Anna is a Utah-based painter who finds inspiration in the untamed lands of the West. After nine years of living in the Wasatch, she has found her mountain muse for life. As an artist, her deepest joy comes from physically tracing the landscape with her body (skiing, hiking, climbing, biking...) and then immortalizing that experience in paint. For the Burns Reimagined chairlift project, Anna wanted to feature the two types of winter weather we get at Deer Valley: “Bluebird” and “Powder Day." For the “Bluebird” design, she combined her favorite view (Clayton Peak from atop Empire lift) with a native Utah bluebird — the Scrub Jay. The “Powder Day” design uses more muted tones and features fluffy, pillowy pine trees and the first ski tracks after a fresh coat of snow. View more of her work at annaleighmoore.com.

It's been a week of wild weather around the world, with extreme heat in North America, China and in Southern Europe. Some parts of the US and China have exceeded 50C - while parts of Southern Europe face temperatures in the mid-40s.Temperatures like these are expected to become common during summer months due to our warming climate - but what does 50C heat do to the human body? And can we adapt? On this week's ClimateCast Tom Heap speaks to science correspondent Thomas Moore who has spent time as a 'guinea pig' in a 50C heat chamber to measure how his body reacted. They're joined by Dr Anna Moore who specialises in how heat impacts the human body and explains why the climate crisis is also a health crisis.Producer: Emma Rae WoodhouseEditor: Paul Stanworth
Hello and welcome back to Breakfast with Mom.Today I want to tell you about Anna Moore, she was the first immigrant to pass through Ellis Island, New York. For those of you that do not know or remember, Ellis Island is a federally owned island in New York Harbor, situated within the U.S. states of New Jersey and New York, that was the busiest immigrant inspection and processing station in the United States. From 1892 to 1954, nearly 12 million immigrants arriving at the Port of New York and New Jersey were processed there under federal law. Today, it is part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument and is accessible to the public only by ferry. The north side of the island is the site of the main building, now a national museum of immigration. The south side of the island, including the Ellis Island Immigrant Hospital, is open to the public only through guided tours.Resources:https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/16193022/annie-moorehttps://www.cnn.com/2023/03/17/us/irish-history-ellis-island-annie-moore-cec/index.htmlhttps://www.irishcentral.com/roots/history/annie-moore-first-immigrant-ellis-islandhttps://www.statueofliberty.org/discover/famous-passengers/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_American_Cultural_Institutehttps://www.history.com/news/remembering-annie-moore-ellis-islands-first-immigranthttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fulton_Fish_Markethttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guion_Linehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellis_Islandhttps://www.statueofliberty.org/ellis-island/overview-history/“Say What?”: https://apnews.com/article/california-beach-ancient-mastodon-tooth-cfcd32d4b9008523d111714a84dea604Credits:Music: "A Sip of Coffee to Relieve Stress" by Katzen TupasLogo Artwork: Strawbeary Studios https://www.youtube.com/@StrawbearyStudios/featuredEpisode was researched, written and edited by ShanoaSocial Media: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090200010112 https://twitter.com/breakfastmompodEmail: breakfastwithmompodcast@gmail.com

Dennis Larkin is disappointed that a few Munster fans were dressed in La Rochelle gear at the Heineken Cup final between the French side and Leinster. Anna Moore, the 'Mammy of Irish Boxing', salutes Katie Taylor after her loss over the weekend.
Dr. Mark Sawusch was a successful Ophthalmologist working in the Pacific Palisades while living in a multi-million-dollar beach front home in Malibu, California. Unfortunately, in 2016 Mark burned his hands so badly he was unable to perform surgery anymore. He went to his favorite ice cream shop one day in the summer of 2017 and came across Anthony Flores and Anna Moore and the three hit it off. Mark was struggling with his mental health, so he befriended the couple and allowed them to live at his home rent free in order to help him with daily life. Although that decision would disrupt his life even more.
Mike Di Lorenzo and Anna Moore's newest single dropping on March 24th, 2023 "Holding All My Love" is a modern throwback to the 90's r&b/pop/dance sound. Stylish, slick, bold with compelling textures topped off by the radiantly beautiful, soulful voice of Anna Moore. Her emotion is intertwined perfectly with Mike's jazzy-pop groove which will remind many of us of the vibes that we grew up on. Mike's most recent 2022 album “What We Need” also featured contemporary R&B artist Anna Moore, whose sultry vocal styling can be heard on the title track and other songs along with world-class pop singer and media sensation Sonna Rele, Multi-Grammy Award-winning artist Joel Kibble of the vocal group Take 6 along with exceptional contributions from vocalists Denise Stewart, CaiNo with Frank Elmo on saxophone. The album has placed up to 4 tracks in the top ten Smooth Jazz Global Listener Countdown (the world's only smooth jazz singles chart decided by listeners) including the title track sitting at #1 for 3 consecutive weeks.
Net zero doesn't have to mean zero sum. In this episode of The McKinsey Podcast, McKinsey partner Anna Moore and senior partner Humayun Tai talk to global editorial director Lucia Rahilly about the “devilish duality” leaders have faced since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine—and about how to follow through on longer-term decarbonization commitments while managing short-term energy disruptions successfully. After, hear how investors can use their capital and influence to help reverse the impact of climate change, from Columbia professor Bruce Usher. He spoke with us about his book, Investing in the Era of Climate Change (Columbia University Press, October 2022), as part of our Author Talks series. Rose Anna Moore grew up in Tioga County, PA, where she hunted and fished the trout streams of the Pine Creek Gorge. Learning outdoor skills and having an interest in sustainable living helped Rose develop an adaptable and agile nature. While most of her childhood was spent moving from one environment to another or from one home to another, Rose has always found a way to make the changes and curveballs work for her as she navigates through life's journey. Because of her lifestyle, travels, core beliefs, daily practices, and lessons learned, Rose believes that her drive and determination to never quit will put her at an advantage. Season 8 of Alone was one of the most challenging adventures of Rose's journey, and now she is looking forward to putting all of her skills together to create a sustainable life for herself in the wilderness. The night 2 teenage girls climbed through the ropes not just to to fight each other - but to fight for the right of every Irish girl to box in the future. On that historic Halloween night in 2001, they travelled to the world famous South Circular Road ‘Stadium’ for what has since become a historic, momentous occasion. Katie Taylor and Alanna Audley helped change the face of female boxing in Ireland. Both have gone on to carve out their own paths in the sport and, 20 years on, Al speaks to Irish News journalist and boxing expert Neil Loughran on his memories. And we also hear from Anna Moore - the Irish team manager who travelled from Newbridge to New Dehli, Limerick to Limasol and all the other arenas around the world as Katie Taylor boxed her way into history. But she was also present the night that journey began and tells us what she saw that night.

We interviewed Anna Moore and Lise Smith, members of the Bidwell Parks and Recreation Commission in Chico. Our interview was sparked by an excellent letter they wrote to the Chico Enterprise Record, regarding homeless camping in Bidwell Park. Unlike many, they do not call for the homeless to be rousted; instead they urge the city to create a campground where the homeless can safely live. The City thus far has dodged the issue, and Chico's newly installed conservative City Council is looking toward enforcement and issuing misdemeanor citations rather than helping the homeless. In addition to exploring this issue, Lise and Anna also filled us in on other issues facing the commission, from access to fire danger to funding.

This coronavirus has stopped pretty much everything, but luckily the SoulBack podcast is still here! On this episode we talk about new music from K'Jon, Brian McKnight, Kiana Lede and JoJo. We also touch on album pushbacks from Alicia Keys and Bobby V and debate what the best way to announce it to the fans is in 2020. We also talk about the Danity Kane discography and if we look at them as a Pop or R&B group. Lastly we discuss the latest with Dru Hill and decide whether it was the right move for the brand with the Playa inclusion as just the new Dru Hill or whether the brands should have kept separate. Hello Wealth Hackers!! Welcome to the Truth About Real Estate Show!! If you’ve ever felt like an underdog or that project or investment you wanted to start looks insurmountable then please just think of this podcast. Everyone and everything starts from the bottom. If you did me the displeasure of listening to the first few episodes of this show, you know how bad it was. I was nervous like heck, I spent hours to prepare and produce the show as part of a six episode experiment. I stuttered more than usual. I like to experiment, a test, so if a project fails, you move on to the next thing, learn lessons and move forward. I knew from the beginning, I wouldn’t be the most well spoken, our music is well, something I put together on GarageBand, our audio quality won’t be the best as my guests are hundreds if not thousands of kilometers away plus driving is just a time vampire. I’m not sure what happened in the last month but we’ve had an overwhelming inflow of positive feedback. Shout out to Jody Fleck, you’re email still makes me smile and happy to hear you connected with Anna Moore who is a past guest of this show and doing amazing things in affordable housing for retirees. This morning, I checked our reviews of this podcast as a barometer as I’m updating our Marketing from time to time and in the whole world of business podcasts on iTunes, this little podcast that could is ranked 88th. Lucky number 88. A podcast with a niche of investing and for Canadians. Want to know the crazy part? There are only three Canadian Business Podcast ahead of the Truth About Real Estate Investing including the CBC who has a lot more funding than I do. LOL. None of the three are about real estate so I’m just speechless. Please do keep sending in your feedback, it does help me guide where we go with the show. One consistent feedback we have been getting is how we much truth we are sharing on this show about failures, especially mine. I’ve shared how I'm selling my now AirBnb as it doesn’t generate enough income above and beyond a long term rental and before that, it was a student rental that didn’t work out thanks to a mentally ill student tenant who was just a nightmare. I’ve said it from the beginning, this is the Truth About Real Estate. It’s not always perfect and many influencers out there do have an agenda to promote their businesses and as a marketer, you don’t want to share the scary parts and there isn’t really enough time for it in our format. However as the host of this show, I have a lot more talk time and to make it easy on myself, I speak off the cuff, unrehearsed, just telling it like it is. In case you missed it, the property I offered for short term rental, didn’t work out for me hence I’m selling it to do some stocks with a goal to earn higher cash flow returns like my friend Adriano, my electrician from Etobicoke who earned $120,000 or 30% returns in his first year as a stock hacker. I can’t thank Adriano enough for getting me off my ass to believe I could be an option trader too and he is the guest of this week’s show! How An Electrician Learnt to Hack Stocks and Earn Six Figures From His Smart Phone with Adriano Adriano is a wealth hacker, he operates a six figure business, owns a mid sized apartment building plus three other investment properties, and he’s a six figure stock hacker. Adriano is also only a few years away from joining Canada’s top 1% of income earners. Let that sink in. Someone who’s formal education is Electrician college and he will out earn 99 out of 100 Canadians. I want the same as Adriano hence I’m selling one of my ten properties to fund this investment strategy. Call it diversity, call it a cash flow play, I just want for another six figure stream of income. Adriano is mentored for Omar Khan and Matthew Todman, both past guest of this show from a 2-3 weeks ago. If you haven’t already, have a listen to those episodes after this one. If you’d like to take a deeper dive, you will want to see Matthew and Omar present on Nov 9th at the Wealth Hacker Conference where we have some of the world’s leading experts on growing a business, investing in real estate and stocks. Our keynote speaker is Grant Cardone who also has multiple streams of income totalling over $100 million in revenues and his real estate company manages 1.2 billion of real estate. As a special bonus to fans of this show and those interested in learning how to hack stocks like Adriano the electrician, use the promo code stock when buying your ticket and we will send you an exclusive video of a private presentation Omar and Matthew and Adriano did for my members only iWIN group. All you need to do is go to www.wealthhacker.ca and just before selecting what level ticket you want, click on the promo code blue hyperlink and enter stock. Or use the direct link in the show notes: Link: https://wealthhacker.eventbrite.ca?discount=stock If you don’t like stocks, that’s ok, I didn’t either, I was almost wiped out in 2008 with my stocks. The Truth is I chose very young companies, highly speculative ones that didn’t pay dividends. Now I only want to own the cream of the crop of blue chip companies with decades of track record paying dividends. Only boring stocks for me as I despise speculation and gambling.
In Episode 1 of "Inside the Growing Mind," Westminster's President Keith Evans and Director of Student Support Dr. Anna Moore talk about bringing your family's goals into focus. We also spend a few minutes discussing what Student Support is and why it's important.
I början av 2000-talet startade hon sitt egna bolag Moore To Be, där hon frilansade inom samma områden. Professor Anna Moore has some bold predictions for the future of space technology … and how it might affect Australia.
I first met Anna after seeing a piece by CTV Barrie on how an area student landlord was switching gears and renting to seniors instead, link below. Anna has been in the student rental business for 25 years and after the straw that broke the camel’s back, another abused rental property by the student tenants and thousands of repairs and clean up bills, she switched gears in renting to seniors. As a student rental investor myself, I immediately reached out to AMR Property Management to speak to owner Anna Moore and here is our recorded discussion. Anna is a veteran business owner with a successful printing company, she currently manages 200 doors, many are her own investments, and she vacations much of the winter in the Bahamas and Europe in the summer. Yet another lifestyle success story for you listeners as it’s not about the investment, it’s about what our investments afford us in lifestyles and Anna is living the dream plus her business is every improving as she goes from five senior rentals to offering as many as 50 this spring. Without further ado, I give you Anna Moore of AMR Property Management Link to CTV coverage of Anna: Company turning student homes into shared housing for seniors Website: www.amrpropertymanagement.com

Composting and recycling at school isn’t just about eco-friendly waste diversion. It also provides students with a powerful lesson in sound environmental practice that they’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives. The message is simple: what comes from the earth can be returned to enrich it, so it can provide for us again and again. How to get started? Today’s guests, from San Francisco, CA and Northampton, MA, will tell you how: Start small. Champion your early adopters. Develop educational and marketing tools to enlist the support of the entire school community. Or use materials from other districts–there’s lots out there already! Thanks to today’s sponsor, Cain Vineyard & Winery. “A big part of San Francisco’s ‘Zero Waste’ initiative hopes to be achieved through education… we have a 63% landfill diversion rate in San Francisco schools.” [6:00] “We prefer starting with the kids and hope the adults catch on… We understand the power that kids have.” [14:20] — Tamar Hurwitz on Inside School Food “We did underestimate how difficult it would be to get all of the students to sort their food waste properly; it was difficult to get everyone on board.” [27:30] — Anna Moore on Inside School Food
