It was nice to see our system of justice prevail in New York. The jury unanimously convicted the ex-president, but his allies in the media and Congress, rather than supporting it, are bent on tearing down the justice system for their own power and money. Here's a short commentary on these folks whose conduct is unbecoming officers of the U.S.A. I hope you'll listen.

8 more movie reviews for you today, and lets dive right in. Wait! Hold up for just a second, cause today we also do a lil mini celebration of having reviewed over 225 films here. Just about halfway for film reviews according to my ever expanding list. So we share some of our favorites and not so favs from the list. Ok back to it. We start off today with (Cold Turkey 1971). Here we have Dick van Dyke Pippa Scott and pretty much every big character actor workin in the 70's. This was directed by Norman Lear, who actually did not direct much, he was more of a writer and producer, and can y'all believe he is still with us at 101. He showed up the oscars and I was pretty amazed. Damn let's go, this is a movie about a town that wants to make a name for itself by taking an odd bet from big Tobacco that a town can't quit smoking for a month. Will the succeed/ is this film any good, well we will certainly give our hot takes on this 52 year old movie. Here I screwed up the chronological flow of things and engaged in our Pink Panther movie early, apologies, but it's (the Pink Panther strikes again 1976) More apologies to slapstick fans, for my treatment of the so called genre, just imagine me falling down a lot and having a rake hit me in the face……. While I solve crime, that could make you happy again. Moving on to (the Snow Goose 1971) spoiler with little remorse, it's the most trippy 70's way to tell the story of Dunkirk ever. Listen to our review of the snow goose then listen to Camel's amazing progressive rock masterpiece, the snow goose, for some musical insight into this. Why not? Next up is (the Other 1972) Ha, we couldn't quite figure it out while reviewing this drama horror mystery film, but right here on IMDB it says it takes place in 1935, and that's very important to know, NOT. It can bug us when we just can't tell while viewing, when a movie is supposed to take place, I thought that Touched by Love just had everyone dressing basic and a lil hipster, but it took place in the 50's apparently. What else to say………… I think this kid might be trouble. Let's continue with another creepy one we wanted to get on the tape before halloween but as usual didn't. Please enjoy now our review of (Don't look now 1973) Ha, no review here, you gotta listen, but why would you be here and not. This one is weird and I think it's meant to be. Fans of Julie Christie, Donald Sutherland, and director Nicolas Roeg, must sometimes find their way here, whether they love it or not. Moving on again to (Conduct Unbecoming 1975). The guy from sound of music who was apparently at least half drunk the whole shoot is here in this, he was also in Star Trek 6, also the guy from Jurrassic park that says “welcome to Jurrasic park.' Is here too sooooo it's got to be great of course. F**k don't forget the guy from Logan's Run, the guy from Cheech and Chongs Up in Smoke, and the Officer who says “my vow of celibacy is on record.” In Star Trek the motion picture, she's here, as well as Susan York from superman 2. Everyone's here so this is just gonna rule, right? Next up is Henry Wrinker in (the One and Only 1978). Will the Fonz who is the absolute most annoying self obsessed college student, find balance, and have a healthy home and work relationship? Let's see, Henry is a great actor so even in cringe it's nice, at least for me to watch him cook. Kim Darby from the STOS episode MIRI and True grit is here, along with Mrs Deagle from Gremlins who gets sent through the roof in the stair chair device. Finally today we review (GoldenGirl 1979). This, long long on my list of buried 70's films with a very intriguing premise has finally been re-released on DVD. Will it live up to the hype in my head? Susan Anton is here, singing the theme song, and training constantly. Hey, 70's film fans, I hope this finds you well, and seriously, thanks for reading this, and listening.

“In this business, in this show-fucking-business, you have to reinvent yourself so many times. The attention span is zero and you have to also realize that most people who hire actors or any kind of performer or artist, will remember you from the first time they saw you. That will stick in their head, so reinventing oneself is a necessary evil. But you have to branch out as you grow as a person. Let your art grow. Multi-hyphenates do not sit on their laurels.” - Judy Gold on Multi-Hyphenating Judy Gold knows the value of a good joke – and the steep price of silencing comedians. Unnerved and infuriated, Judy shares her reverence for the intimacy of collective laughter and her passion for the vital work comedians do to bring us together, make us think, and speak truth to power. Based on her book “Yes, I Can Say That: When They Come for the Comedians, We Are All in Trouble,” the comedy veteran is taking the stage to tell the fascists and crybabies to shove their hate and political correctness up their respective asses. This wickedly funny new one-woman show is a big-mouthed and big-hearted call for truth, kindness, common sense, and most of all, laughter. The show runs through April 16th, 2023 at 59E59 Theatres. The contemporary setting of Todd Field's new TÁR has inspired some to label it a movie about the modern idea of “cancel culture,” but the film's baseline ideas about sex and power are more timeless, and its story of a woman using her social influence to manipulate others, and her attendant downfall, links it specifically to 1988's DANGEROUS LIAISONS. While we could have easily spent this entire episode and then some dissecting and debating the many small, nuanced details that bring TÁR to life, we do eventually bring our discussion around to the other film in this pairing to consider what it shares with DANGEROUS LIAISONS in its depiction of feminine power in a patriarchal society, sexual gamesmanship, and public humiliation as comeuppance. Plus, we use Your Next Picture Show to consider the other highlights of Todd Field's small but mighty directorial filmography. Please share your comments, thoughts, and questions about DANGEROUS LIAISONS, TÁR, or anything else in the world of film, by sending an email to comments@nextpictureshow.net, leaving a short voicemail at 773-234-9730, or commenting on our Patreon (patreon.com/NextPictureShow), where you can also find bonus episodes and more. The abuse of power and resulting fall from grace in Todd Field's new TAR put us in mind of another cautionary tale of entitlement and bad behavior, in the form of 1988's DANGEROUS LIAISONS. So this week we're revisiting Stephen Frears' lush, lavish depiction of not-so-secret affairs among the French aristocracy to consider what keeps this 17th-century period piece from feeling stodgy, the cruel intentions at work in its many romantic pairings, and what distinguishes its final shot as one of the all-time greats. Plus, listeners bring some of their own interpretation and insight to our recent pairing of BRIEF ENCOUNTER and DECISION TO LEAVE. Please share your comments, thoughts, and questions about DANGEROUS LIAISONS, TAR, or anything else in the world of film, by sending an email to comments@nextpictureshow.net, or leaving a short voicemail at (773) 234-9730. Self-controlled, respectable, gentle, and not quarrelsome. These are some of the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 for an overseer of the church. Peter exhorted the elders to shepherd the flock of God without compulsion, shameful gain, and without being domineering in 1 Peter 5:1-4. In the hyper charismatic/NAR churches, it is sadly not uncommon to find church overseers and leaders exemplifying traits contrary to instruction in Scripture. Join me as we take a look at Scripture regarding Godly leaders along with modern day examples in this movement. We are more polarized than ever and there is a specific reason for that. The internet has made life more homogenous, the same attracts the same.No longer do you have to live in the community where you actually live. You can associate with those you agree with and you never have to see the people you don't. We have even learned that social media algorithms keep the views we don't want to see off our feeds. But is this good? Or is this separation leading creating a pressure cooker that will eventually blow up in everyone's face?Today on ChurchPublic we learn that who you are is actually who you are.The youths say, live your truth. The only catch here is, that there IS an actual truth and you actually have to live by that. You don't get to change it as much as you want to try.You don't get to tell gravity what to do.You don't get to change biology or reality to match whatever new fad you want to entertain. There is a truth, there is a God and you are not in control of either. While that may be difficult to hear for some, the fact is, you should actually feel free that YOU don't have to decide who or whose you are.To those searching for identity in a lost world, you can be found in Jesus, if you will only follow him.Today we will look at the Prime Minister of Finland who is in some controversy over leaked party videos.A Florida Christian school is in hot water because they are following the BIBLE! Gasp! The leftist outlet the Atlantic actually prints something I agree with and of course we are looking at all of these current events from a Christian perspective. Thanks for watching! Followers of Christ must live their lives in a manner consistent with the Gospel of Christ for unbelievers to believe. Sadly, the conduct of most of those who claim to be Christians in the 21st century is the opposite. As a result, unbelievers do not believe because they don't see any difference between them and most of those who claim to be Christians. The broadcast exhorts faithful believers to become even more active in witnessing. They should redouble their efforts as the time of the impending doom of God's judgment for those who refuse His love and His Son's sacrifice draws very near. ——— Are you aware that you can watch more than 100 videos (videos you can share, use in Sunday schools, teach others, and evangelize) in high definition on our YouTube channel? One officer in Los Angeles used car inspections to hit on women. Three hundred miles away in the San Francisco Bay Area, another woman says an officer used police resources to harass and stalk her. This episode investigates these two cases of sexual misconduct by California Highway Patrol officers. While the officers were fired, the agency did not refer potential crimes to prosecutors. And the files show some women who came forward were met with suspicion, discouragement, or what one woman saw as intimidation. Snap presents, “Conduct Unbecoming,” the second episode of On Our Watch, an investigative podcast from NPR & KQED. This episode contains instances of sexual misconduct but it does not contain sexual assault. Sensitive listeners, please be advised. Thank you, Sukey Lewis, Sandhya Dirks, Alex Emslie, and the entire On Our Watch team! On Our Watch is an amazing seven-part podcast series, hosted by Sukey Lewis. It was created after a new police transparency law unsealed scores of internal affairs files. NPR and KQED reporters set out to examine these cases and the shadow world of police discipline. A police officer in Los Angeles told women he'd let their cars pass inspection if they had sex with him. In the San Francisco, Bay Area, another woman says an officer used police resources to harass and stalk her. The California Highway Patrol quietly fired both men for sexual harassment, but never looked into whether their misconduct was criminal. The second episode of the NPR series On Our Watch examines the system of accountability for officers who abuse their power for sex and exposes where that system falls short.
While some people are breaking the rules or being unprofessional, the PCP boys are keeping it above board while talking about anything movie-related. Pull up seat and enjoy.

Over the weekend, two women had separately alleged that police officers had sexually harassed them when stopped at roadblocks. In recounting their experiences, the women said a police officer had recorded their personal details, including phone numbers. One of the women said she received an unsolicited text message after the encounter, while the other said she was asked to expose herself in order to avoid being fined. Realtors are tasked with helping families make the biggest financial decision of their lives. To that end, NAR wants to preserve the idea of a realtor as an intelligent professional. And when an agent engages in conduct unbecoming of a realtor (like posting racial slurs on social media, having sex in an empty listing, or threatening the life of a broker who takes a job at Zillow), the association can and should protect the realtor brand and let that agent go. On this episode of the podcast, Rob and Greg are discussing the series of speech code proposals made by the NAR Professional Standards Committee to prevent realtors from discriminating against the protected classes and using harassing or hate speech, epithets or slurs in both their personal and professional lives. Rob and Greg go on to explore the problems with the committee’s proposal, explaining why it’s difficult to define what qualifies as harassing or hate speech and how the rules don’t address other kinds of unprofessional behavior. Listen in for insight on how a Conduct Unbecoming Clause would work as an alternative to protect the realtor brand from behavior that is ‘disgraceful, unprofessional and unbecoming’ of an agent. What’s Discussed: An overview of the series of proposals made by the NAR Professional Standards Committee --Policy Statement 29 applies NAR Code of Ethics to conduct outside of real estate --Standard of Practice 10-5 prohibits harassing/hate speech, epithets or slurs of protected classes --Definition of ‘public trust’ expanded to include all discrimination against protected classes The problems Rob sees with the committee’s proposal --Difficult to define what qualifies as harassing or hate speech --Leaves out threats, harassment of unprotected classes --Many conservative realtors feel targeted by changes The benefits of Rob’s alternative Conduct Unbecoming Clause How the history of race in America informs the way NAR is approaching the proposed changes The value in protecting the realtor brand from conduct that is disgraceful, unprofessional and unbecoming of an agent Connect with Rob and Greg: Rob’s Website Greg’s Website Resources: NAR’s Proposed Speech Code Regulations Rob’s Post on the Proposed Speech Code Regs The NAR Professional Standards Committee ‘NAR Proposes Ethics Changes to Crack Down on Social Media Harassment’ in Inman ‘NAR’s Proposed Ethics Changes Miss the Mark’ in Inman Raise the Bar in Real Estate Facebook Group Canadian Real Estate Association CREA’s Conduct Unbecoming Clause Rob’s Post on the Reputation of Realtors Racism in Real Estate on Industry Relations EP052 Our Sponsors: Cloud Agent Suite Notorious VIP

Nika King’s talents as a comedian and actor are versatile and dynamic. King is best known for her comedic abilities but in her new breakout role playing Leslie, on the Emmy winning HBO series Euphoria opposite Zendaya and Storm Reid, King showcases a much more dramatic side of herself. In this role, King pulls from her early life in the projects of Liberty City watching her mother and uncles battle addiction and triumphantly overcoming. It is from that resolve and resilience that King offers a dramatic perspective and newfound depth in this role. Watching her mother work hard as a postal worker while battling and defeating addiction shaped King’s perseverance. Her passion for performance started at the early age of five years old. Armed with a silly sense of humor, King started reciting cheeky poems by Langston Hughes. After graduating from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a degree in Theatre Performance, King went on to hone her comedy improv skills at the Groundlings Improv School. King’s comedy has landed her roles on Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black, 2 Broke Girls and the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, Canada. She's also produced and wrote on the hilarious web series Funny Married Stuff and her podcast King Confessions. Striving to be more than just an actor, King created Jeli, a technology company that reimagines Hollywood through diversity and inclusion. It’s a platform for people of color to navigate the entertainment industry in a supported way by connecting with industry leaders to develop their personal roadmap to success. If you’ve served in the military or watched any war movies, you’ve probably heard the phrase, “conduct unbecoming an officer.” It’s a charge with sometimes severe consequences if an officer does something that an officer shouldn’t do. As Christians, we are supposed to act like Christ — Strive to be Christ-like. It’s expected of us. In Paul’s letter to the Philippians, he stresses this: Philippians 1:27a: Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. What’s important are the first two words: “whatever happens” – that means at all times, in all circumstances, no matter what. There’s no Excuse for not Behaving like a Christian! It’s not easy. But God gave us two invaluable tools: the Bible and the Holy Spirit. Read more.... We have freedom in Christ, but where is the corrective when that freedom goes overboard? Tune in we continue our sermon series through the letter of 1 Corinthians. Pastor Jon Shaffer looks at Paul's ctriticism of the conduct unbecoming he has gotten wind of within the church.
Episode 155: This week, we’re pulling on our robes and passing all kinds of judgment – which means more of same from us. Erin kicks this episode off slipping down a Facebook rabbit hole only to find a troll who’s sole interest seems to be stirring the pot by comparing schoolyard bullying to attempted sexual assault. Wonderland it isn’t! Next, D. Marie discusses the “humble” return of Louis CK to stand-up comedy after admitting to sexual misconduct with multiple women. Remorse never sounded less funny. Of course, we can’t be entirely serious, so D. Marie serves up a last call discussion on our favorite euphemisms for our private parts. Don’t let the Minnesota accents fool ya! These two gays and two gals are solving the world’s problems one drink at an ever-lovin’ time. Features Strong Language, Mature Themes, and Midwest Advice from the Twin Cities. In this episode Morgan and Isabeau tackle some of Isabeau's particular tipples--namely 1776 Fanfiction, America in general, and what it means to want to love things that are problematic. If you've ever had questions about fanfiction, what Mr. Feeney did before Boy Meets World, or if you're looking for a safe harbor in an increasingly bleak place--this episode is for you. This week on Very Special Episode the guys take on a new television program and an old subject with the 'Major Dad' episode "Conduct Unbecoming". Do all Major's make their kids call them Major? What kind of a Bozo interrupts a guy watching a Bulls game? Was this abusive Major Tom the same one that David Bowie was talking about? Was this basketball B plot really worth mentioning? Slmb and Todd dicuss these topics and some more fresh talk about abuse in the home. Check back next week for the 52nd show and 1 year anniversary. Enjoy the show! THIS IS VERY SPECIAL EPISODE!
This week, we'll listen to the percussive side of World Music. Seven bands will add subtle electronics to the inherently primitive act of striking a note. Providing the variation for us are Sub Dub, Conduct Unbecoming, Fraud Fix, Lendi Vexer, DJ Diganta, Queenie and Siberian Newspaper.
This week, we'll revel in elegance. To some it's an antiquated old world charm but in troubled times it really more a last stand against barbarism in all its forms. Showing their poise on this episode of Idyllic Music are Elsiane, Big Wheel, Conduct Unbecoming, Radium88 and Bitkit.
Again I am reminded of just how small our world has become and the richness given to our lives when we experience the music and culture of others around the globe. Contributing to that wealth this week are Irina Mikhailova, Dreaming Blue, Conduct Unbecoming, Alchemystic and Salam.
