Wishing a very Happy New Year to you and yours. I certainly hope your holidays afforded you time to enjoy some rest and rejuvenation, and that 2024 is the year that you're able to actualize some of your dreams and aspirations. And speaking of actualizing one's dreams, I think we can all take a page from my next guest as the term renaissance woman truly applies to Maria Pendolino. She's a multi-award-winning voice artist working in national television and radio commercials, and numerous other genres of voice work. Maria is also the President of the Board of Directors for Alleyway Theatre Inc., a professional theater company offering education & development programs to foster the talents of emergent artists from Western New York and beyond. She also identifies as disabled actor, due to psoriatic (sorry-attic) arthritis which she was diagnosed with during her rise as a stage and screen actor. She's proud to use her voice to advocate for disabled performers across the entertainment and media spectrum via The Disabled Voice Actors Database; an online directory of names and contact information of working voice actors who also happen to be people with disabilities. Adding to her talents are that of a freelance Television and Feature Film Writer with a goal of developing and writing stories about women and disabled people who are at the center of their own stories. This past October 2023, Maria garnered high praise when she joined USA Today's Top 10 list of Emerging Entrepreneurs for 2023. I'd say a huge congratulations are in order, and yet the recognition is a bit ironic given Maria has been a working actor going on 20 years. Maria will soon be adding Podcaster to her hugely impressive list of credits as she'll soon be launching the podcast ‘We Talk for a Living' where she'll be talking about the power of using one's voice, with guests from all different professions and backgrounds. Ben Leonard is an ecommerce consultant and the Co-founder of Ecom Brokers, a UK-based ecommerce brokerage that helps companies sell their businesses for an optimal price. Ben has been an entrepreneur since 2016 when he founded Beast Gear, a fitness equipment company that he grew to seven figures. After selling his business in 2019, Ben decided to spread his knowledge about achieving profitable ecommerce exits to other entrepreneurs. That same year, he was named the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year by Elevator Awards. In this episode… Traditionally, in the ecommerce M&A (mergers and acquisitions) landscape, private equity-backed brand aggregators have purchased low-valued businesses at high EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) multiples. But this has led to resource depletion, and brands are struggling to sell for an ideal price. So how can you evaluate today's buyer culture effectively to position your brand as a top choice? Ecommerce broker Ben Leonard notes that the most frequent mistake business owners make when exiting is determining a price based on brand goals. Selling depends mainly on a potential buyer's requirements, so it's imperative to structure your business accordingly. When positioning your company, you must consider five interrelated factors: brand identity, growth and profitability, risk, transferability, and documentation. Branding influences the other constituents, so developing quality products and understanding your target audience promotes longevity, decreases risk, and facilitates a seamless transfer to a buyer's existing system. Tune in to this episode of the eCommerce Profits Podcast as Joshua Chin welcomes the Co-founder of Ecom Brokers, Ben Leonard, back for his third interview to discuss preparing for a business acquisition. Ben explains the five central factors potential buyers consider, the importance of branding and marketing in ecommerce M&A, and advice for evaluating one buyer versus multiple buyers.

After listening to Kasonomics author GG Alcock's recent interview on the dynamism of township entrepreneurs, SA's globally respected futurist Clem Sunter prodded us into kicking off a series celebrating these emerging champions. Rantekoa is no stranger to media coverage, having won Emerging Entrepreneur competitions that brought him to the attention of global news networks like Bloomberg and Al Jazeera. But his achievements haven't yet registered where he actually needs it. The township bakery entrepreneur is struggling to raise capital from State agencies whose sole purpose is to support emerging entrepreneurs. Given the obstacles he has overcome and the dreams of this 30-something business creator, it's a mystery where the bureaucrats think they will unearth a more deserving candidate for taxpayer support. Will God answer your prayer if you don't end with, "In Jesus' name, Amen?" Learn what praying in the name of Jesus really means. I taught this week on the call of Abraham and the development of God's missionary call through the nation of Israel as they were responsible to communicate the truth of God to the cultures around them. They were given that great commission. The great commission didn't start in Matthew 28. It started with Abraham in Genesis 12 —the first three verses there —Abraham, chosen by God to raise up a nation who would then be God's priests to the world so that they would be a blessing to all of the nations. They had a unique role in the great monotheistic religion. The Jews were supposed to reflect morality to the world. Israel was to witness to the name of God. When they talked about the name of God and witnessing to God's name, that does not mean that they were to let everybody know what they called God, "Yahweh." Their goal wasn't to cover the countryside with evangelists who just let everybody know what the right word for God was. It meant something different. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ https://linktr.ee/jacksonlibon --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #face #instagram #amour #take #couple #garden #tiktok #psychology #beyou #near #love #foryou #money #ForYouPizza #fyp #irobot #theend #pups #TikToker #couplegoals #famille #relation #doudou #youtube #twitter #tiktokers #love #reeĺs #shorts #instagood #follow #like #ouy #oyu #babyshark #lilnasx #girl #happybirthday #movie #nbayoungboy #deviance #autotrader #trading #khan #academy #carter #carguru #ancestry #accords #abc #news #bts #cbs #huru #bluebook #socialmedia #whatsapp #music #google #photography #memes #marketing #india #followforfollowback #likeforlikes #a #insta #fashion #k #trending #digitalmarketing #covid #o #snapchat #socialmediamarketing

Ben says he's the classic millennial entrepreneur because he started a business from a laptop in a cupboard, grinding away in his spare time. In 2019, Ben decided to spread his knowledge about achieving profitable ecommerce exits to other entrepreneurs. That same year, he bagged the Elevator Awards' Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year. In this episode… The ecommerce industry has seen significant growth since the pandemic hit and has remained a thriving business. However, many ecommerce business owners still struggle to achieve the level of success their counterparts are reporting. It comes down to one thing: not building a sellable business — even if you don't plan to sell. How do you build a sellable ecommerce brand? What goes into preparing your business for a big exit? And when you're ready to sell, what are the routes to consider? Ben Leonard can show you. Find out about these and more on this episode of the eCommerce Profits Podcast where Joshua Chin talks with the Co-founder of Ecom Brokers, Ben Leonard. Have you ever heard the saying that "you will know it when you see it?" If you were to ask me how I can tell who will make it as an entrepreneur, that is probably the answer that I would receive. Sometimes you know what you know. In the case of our guest today, Anna Collins, this is a young lady who will make it as an entrepreneur if she chooses to be one. How do I know this? It is all about looking at the actions that she has already taken and realizing that people who are not serious about an enterprise do not do what she has. Anna loves horses, and she is determined to have her own business teaching others to ride and training. That sentence is not unique to Anna. You could make the same statement about many people who love horses and want to turn it into a full-time living. However, you could find countless people who have given up on that dream because they didn't have a farm or facilities or because there was too much liability. None of this has stopped Anna. In high school, Anna is already teaching people to ride and training horses, and she is doing it on another family's farm and in their facilities. I could not interview them about why they allow Anna to do this, but I think it is highly likely that they saw the same drive and dedication in Anna that I did, and they wanted to help her achieve her dream. So, even though Anna did not have a proper facility, she did not allow that to stop her, and she is underway. Putting other people's children on horseback and teaching them to ride is filled with potential liability. This is the type of issue in which you would expect a parent to step in and slow a high school student down to keep them from getting themselves or the property owners into hot water in a business like this. However, as I interviewed Anna, she had the correct answer to everything regarding civil liability. She is knowledgeable about business structures, waivers, insurance, etc. It is the fact that she has done the research, learned all about the business, and made the arrangements to shield everyone from liability that shows show clearly how devoted she is. People who are just talking don't go to the headache of learning what an LLC is. They don't scour the internet, finding the correct liability waiver for their particular business, but Anna did.

Quantum Quote: Margaret Mead “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” “With the greatest crises come the greatest opportunities. It's hard not to see what we can't accomplish as a state, a country, and globally to put ourselves back on a track and define what clean energy development can be.” Today, we hear how Ethan Blumenthal, a young entrepreneur just a few years out of law school, created Good Solar as a new way to provide low-cost community solar to nonprofit organizations, as well as low and moderate-income communities in North Carolina. Discover how North Carolina became the number two state for solar installations in the United States and how Ethan sees the current economic, environmental and social crisis as an unprecedented opportunity for the clean energy transformations we all want and so clearly need. Sign up for the AWESome EarthKind™ Clean Energy Master Class to discover 3 simple actions you can take to start saving money and make the world a better place - without having to learn complex technology Supernova 1: North Carolina is second only to California in the amount of installed solar. NC is also the second biggest financial hub in the US. Supernova 2: Everyone has solar opportunities, no matter where they live, or what their utility structure is like. While many states, like New York, have deregulated electricity supply, NC and other states have “vertically-integrated” utilities who generate, transmit and distribute their electricity. Supernova 3: Non-Profit organizations and governments can partner with for-profit companies to leverage capital, gain solar investment tax advantages – and provide solar to low and moderate income communities. Supernova 4: Look local to find success. Find a non-profit advocacy or work organization. Provide written testimony or speak to your government leaders. Supernova 5: Seek out and find a mentor – don't wait for one to find you. Supernova 6: The value of participation cannot be underestimated. There is always a way to have your voice heard. Reach out to your city council, county commission, local leaders, state legislators and governor. Let your voice be heard, whether you testify in person or submit written comments. Supernova 7: Change always takes a tremendously long time, much longer than you expect. Then, when it happens, it's always faster than you ever thought possible.
