I Sought The Lord, And He Heard, And He Answered!Psalm 34:4-5 “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”When I saw this verse this morning, I thought of an elevation song that is on the KLOVE radio station a lot. I know I have mentioned it before, but if you haven't checked out KLOVE, you really should. You can google what the closest station to you is, or you can get the KLOVE App and listen from there. Not only do they have great Christian music, but the DJs are great, too, and they are always talking about uplifting stuff and not the news or politics. It is great!Anyway, I thought I would share this song with you as the Lord does answer us when we seek Him out. He can deliver us from all of our fears if we let Him. I also like how the verse says that those who look upon him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. Imagine if you could live your life never being ashamed. Did you even know that was possible? All things are possible through Christ! The song is called Trust In The Lord and is sung by Elevation Worship. Here are the words:… Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mineHe's been my fourth man in the fire, time after timeI love this line. He's been the fourth man in the fire, time after time. Do you know what they are talking about here? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are three Jewish men from the Bible's Book of Daniel who were thrown into a fiery furnace for refusing to worship a golden statue set up by King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar had his servants turn the furnace up so that the fire was white hot. These three men were bound up and thrown into the fiery furnace. The king was watching the whole thing. But after they were thrown in, those watching didn't hear screams or anything. When the king looked in, he saw that the three men were standing in the fire, untouched by the flames and that there was a fourth man in the fire there with them. This is such a great story of God's power. My favorite part of that story is that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego didn't seem to be afraid at all about going into this fiery furnace. I love what they said before going into the furnace. Daniel 3:17-18, "If it is so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” Can you imagine how brave these men were? They weren't afraid to die for what they believed in. I love that they knew God could save them and yet they also knew that might not be what God had in store for them and yet were willing to risk it all anyway. What an incredible faith and trust in the Lord!Next, the song says,Born of His Spirit, washed in His bloodAnd what He did for me on Calvary is more than enoughI just had a conversation about this yesterday with a friend. Do we believe this? Do you believe that what Jesus did on Calvary is more than enough? We tend to get caught up in our sins and our past, and we can't seem to forgive ourselves. My friend said she had a conversation with the Lord once. He asked her three times if she believed He died on the cross for her. Each time, she said yes. Each time, God said that she didn't believe that was true. Finally, she asked the Lord why He kept saying it wasn't true, and He said that if she did, she would forgive herself. Isn't that powerful? God wants this freedom for all of us. He died to free us from our sins, our past mistakes, and all we have done. When we hold onto those mistakes, when we hold onto that sin, when we can't forgive ourselves, we are telling the Lord that what He did for us on Calvary wasn't enough. Is that what we really believe? If it was enough, why can't we forgive ourselves?Next the song says… I trust in God, my SaviorThe one who will never failHe will never failWe can trust in the Lord. He will never fail us. This can be hard for us to believe because people fail us all the time. However, God is not a person. He will never fail us. We can count on Him to be there for us. He is there in the good times, and He is there in the bad times. He is always there. He never leaves your side!Next, it says… Perfect submission, all is at restI know the author of tomorrow has ordered my stepsDid you know that God is the author of tomorrow? He is helping you write your story. He has ordered your steps. Does that mean you will never take a wrong step, no. God has laid out our steps before us, but we have free will, and sometimes we take the wrong path. However, God can always turn us around and get us on the right path again. If we are looking to God for direction. If our eyes are fixed on Him, we will see the path He has laid out for us, and we will follow it. We get lost when we take our eyes off the Lord.Next, the song says,So this is my story, and this is my songI'm praising my risen King and Savior all the day longI know I say this all the time, but this is the key to so much happiness and joy. We need to praise the risen King and Savior all day long! We need to praise the Lord when we are on the top of a mountain, and we need to praise Him when we are in a valley. It may be more important to praise Him when we are in a valley because we tend to forget how good He is when we are in a valley. We tend to turn away or feel lost when we are in a valley, and if we are praising the Lord, it will help remind us of His goodness. Another benefit to praising, especially when we are in the valley, is that it confuses the enemy. He doesn't understand why we would praise the Lord when we are feeling down, lost, or abandoned and so when He sees us doing this, He flees. Also, anytime evil spirits hear the name of the Lord, or especially the name of Jesus, they flee.Next, the song repeats, … I trust in God, my SaviorThe one who will never fail. He will never fail. A few times and then it says,… He didn't fail you thenHe won't fail you nowThis is a reminder of something we can do when we are scared the Lord won't come through. We can look back at our lives and see all the times God has come through for us in the past. If He didn't fail you when you called out to Him the last time, He won't fail you now, either. If you are struggling to believe this, look back to some previous times when you called out to the Lord. Did He fail you? Did He abandon you when you needed Him? The Lord is the same yesterday, today, and always. If He didn't abandon you then, He won't now either! The rest of the song repeats this chorus several times and then repeats some of the words from about.… I sought the Lord and He heard and He answeredI sought the Lord and He heard and He answeredI sought the Lord and He heard and He answeredThat's why I trust Him, that's why I trust HimWhat about you? Have you sought the Lord? Did He hear? Did He answer? That is how you know you can trust Him. God tells us in several places in the Bible that when we ask, He answers. This means that He hears us when we ask. Trust in Him!Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless all those listening! Lord, we love you, and we want to trust you. Please help us. Why is it so hard for us to trust you at times? Lord, we ask that you help us remember all the times you were there for us. Highlight the times that you answered our prayer, and yet we have forgotten. We love you, Lord, and we thank you for always being that fourth man in our fire time after time. We ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus's holy name. Amen!Thank you all for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. I look forward to bringing you a new witness tomorrow morning. Remember Jesus loves you and so do I! You know first hand the times when your daughter is down and out. Maybe she's feeling frustrated with her performance, she's being super negative, or maybe she's getting caught up in that downward spiral. We're going to talk about that today. How do you help support your athlete when she is beating herself up? Nod your head if you've ever heard any of these from your daughter:Only wants to talk about the things she did wrong in a gameEvery time you give her a compliment she turns it negative or says "you have to say that, you're my mom!"Nothing is ever good enoughI frequently ask moms in our community what they struggle with most in supporting their athlete daughter and "Negative Mindset" is always a top response! Here's what you need to know:Average athletes:Believe they have to be hard on themselves in order to play well, otherwise they're letting their guard down Don't want others to believe they think they're "too good." It's safer to focus on their flaws & mistakes... and be likedDon't know the difference between thought and fact; they believe everything they thinkAs her mom, you want:Believe in herselfNotice the positives tooRecognize all the great things she didKnow that she is good enough, no matter what anyone else might sayHave positive self-talkBe proud of herself So you...try to help by giving her advice and encouragement"Focus on the positives""You did so many great things out there today, too!""You're just as good as everyone else""You're not chubby, you're beautiful""You do belong on this team""They do like you"Unfortunately, telling isn't teaching. Just telling her things isn't actually teaching her how to overcome her own limiting beliefs and shift her negative self-talk into something more productive.Plus, your daughter doesn't need you telling her everything. Your daughter needs her mom... and then to learn the skill of shifting her own thoughts. You can't do this for her. This is one space where she has to learn the skills to do it herself. But there are a few things you must do to help...#1 - Stay in your role:Shape the environmentProvide opportunities#2 - Understand where she's coming from:Validate her experienceKnow that this is part of her psychology as a person & athleteRemember that the brain's #1 job is to keep us safeResearch shows that people tend to focus more on the negative as they try to make sense of their experiences (Negativity Bias)#3 - Provide HER the tools she needs to help herself. The could look like: Sharing our new Athlete Tip podcast episodesEnrolling her in The Elite Competitor ProgramHelping her strengthen her mental gameYour daughter's role is to start recognizing these negative thoughts, evaluate her performance, shift her thinking, not attach her self-worth to her performance. But she needs the tools to do this. It isn't innate for our brains to process in this manner unless we're taught how to do so. If you're anything like me, you've experienced this and know exactly what I'm talking about. It just starts with doing the work! You can get started by joining our free training for Sports Moms that is happening now! Learn exactly how to get started with mental training for your athlete daughter! Have you ever played the “victim-card”? I'm sure that we all have at one time or another. Why? We've all been duped into believing some of the Lies Victims Tell Themselves. Here's the deal, we all struggle with untrue recorded memos in our heads, whether about ourselves or other people, and those recordings are often set to repeat on endless loops. These untruths, or lies, that we tell ourselves usually manifest in two distinct ways: encouraging us to act as innocent victims or evil villains. Acting out, in either way, can be really unhealthy! On today's episode, we're going to take some time to examine our lives and make sure that we're living authentically by learning to interrupt these distorted thought patterns. So, what's the first step? We've got to recognize the lies holding us back from embracing the good life we're meant to live! I'm sure you're acquainted with at least a few of these:I'm not good enoughI'll never measure upEveryone's against meIt's not (ever) my fault! My life is just a messLife is out of controlDo any of those sound familiar? The “victim-mentality” lens colors everything we see, every event and interaction, as something that's happening “to us” - and not for our good. But, what happens when we wake up from victimhood? What happens when we discover that we are actually in control of our own thoughts, feelings, words and actions?Find out on today's episode!Grace and peace, Chris

Beyond Punishment and RewardWhen you think of the word and the meaning of up, what's the very next word that comes to mind?Is it down, or something else? And if it was something else, what would it be? When you think of the word…right? What do you think of next? Do you think of the opposite? Do you think of left or do you think of wrong? Where does your mind naturally go to when you consider words that have meanings, that appear to have opposite potentials When you think of the word here,As in I'm here, then where are you?Or where am I? Are we also here? Are we there? Are we over there? When you think of suffering, What comes to mind? What comes to heart? Is it pleasure or the release of suffering? We've largely been living in an enforced either/or construct, even though we're all aware of AND. Every concept has a spectrum of possibility.Yet humans through education and certain religions have come to create a kind of forced polarity competition and separationThis has resulted in a way of thinking and being that could be an illusionWhat do you think? Does it feel like an illusion, the vacillation between the either/or?For this politician or not for this politician, for this vaccination or not for this vaccination, a good person or not a good personEven when we generalize about regions of the world, this state is that color, this state is that color. and that means what?Generalizations about entire countriesas if that somehow impacts the soul of each personDoes it? What do you think? How much sovereignty does the individual have in determining their identity and their outcomes and what is the path of practice or the way to determine one's relationship with one's identity? Can we truly author it or are we just simply stuck with what ended up happening based on our life story? Do we truly reap what we sow? We want to think so, but then we wonder how people who are sewing, terrible things like the poisoning of water, the extraction of gas through the blowing up of rocksWe want to think that, what? What do you want to think about those activities? Have you even made that and either/orhas it informed your activism? The riddle of being is hereWe can't understand how someone who could be a part of extraction that leads to collapse…How could they do that? Don't they also have a familyand why are they not reaping what they're sewing or experiencing the karmic wheel sooner? Why aren't they stopped before they do more damage? Sometimes we wish it's more quick, whether we acknowledge it secretly or otherwiseWhat way do you live? Do you go about your day from waking, to dressing, to eating, to walking, to working, to being with the pets and the children, and your lover, your mother, your fatherWhat approach is it chosen or a default setting? I don't know about you all, but I'm interested in exploring something other than up/down, here/theregood/bad, left/ rightand the punishment and reward structures that have been seeped so deeply into our consciousnessSuch that we can barely get out from under it to think an original thoughtWhen I think of my path of practice, starting with leaving the corporate world, leaving the corporate education system, going to the mountain to study at the age of 24 now being 52 and what have I got to show for myself other than a chosen approach, but I guess that's what I was looking forAn approach, an approach I call intentional creativity, which isn't just a way of making art, but actually a way of living lifeAnd at the root of it is inquiry to question ourselves, our thoughts, our defaults, our hopes, our dreams, our desires, our relationship with suffering, our very relationship with up and down and not just to arrive at a middle path, a place of neutrality or even inner peace when the rest of the world is at war, but actually to just be at cause for doing the thinking at allFor asking the question, How might I free my own identity from the punishment and reward structures set up by power-over systems, by people I wouldn't invite to my dinner table? Why would I allow the worldview of peopleI wouldn't want to share a meal with,to shape my consciousness any further than I absolutely had to..?There comes a point a reckoning in all of our lives where we simply say enoughI must learn to think my own thoughtsI must discover the way to compassion on my own terms, but not just own as in alone, but on your own within the context of community itself, there's a continuity hereThere's a morphic field been building many, many, many, many years, many thousands of people practicingAnd there's an opportunity for the kind of discovery and waking and being that I know many of us seek because you tell me and because I seek it with youSo let us go forward together on a path of practice, an inquiry, discernment, the awakening of true compassion and the exit in each our own time from punishment and reward. What fertile deep, delicious place might existif we weren't always trying to avoid suffering in this life or the next or achieve reward in this life or the next, what is there when you remove that illusion and you sit right in the center of self or in my case, I meditate standingSo when I stand right in the center of my myself, it helps me stay alert to be in standing meditation and inquiry and ask the impossible questions of my heart and invite those along my red thread to journey with meI know there are more places for us to explore together and I'll be with you providing encouragement for our journey Big love, big love, big, beautiful love coming to you from right where I am here to right where you are, here, in my heart Thanks for reading Tea with the Muse! You are your biggest obstacleand the only one who can save youI love and hate this topicI need to speak on mindset issues because more entrepreneurs and ideas fail from inaction than lack of fundsEveryone has a million dollar idea and dreams die every day because people think they arent good enoughI hate this topic because it opens the door to evil, to the bloodsucking gurus and new age specters that plague personal development. They thrive off of mindset talks because if you fail...It isnt their fault. You just didnt believe the right way.Be wary of anyone selling you help without a deliverable.Lets talk imposter syndromeStoryWhen I started helping to design products ...When I started creating products, pitching products, speaking, mentoringRunning incubators, coaching, consulting ... I felt imposter syndromeNow, I ask what is my edge, my specialty instead of "why you"People with less experience and resources are doing what you want and living a life you dream about because you are not taking actionWhy do people think they are imposters?1. They are not sociopaths. Smart people see risks. Human brains evolved to detect the tiger in the grass.2. We are taught the lie of linear growth. Life follows a direct path from point to point. We are taught a system of false causality.3. They have not seen it. If you want to collapse the time it takes to achieve a thing, get around people who have done it.How does imposter syndrome hold you back?1. Authenticity. Some people are quiet and pretend that stealth mode is strategic. Some people fake it until they make it and let the lies eat them up2. Building the right team. the right people cant help you when you are pretending to be something you are not. no one can help you until you are taking action3. Pitching the deals deals. You can't play a next level game if you think you are not worthy.
Condolences are not enoughI want to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ashling Murphy. The spontaneous public outpouring of grief at her murder underlines the frustration and anger that exists at the habitual reports of violence against women.Condolences are not enough. Men, and I include myself in this, need to take responsibility for ensuring that every woman has the right to be safe and that there is zero tolerance of male violence against women. Our friend and Sinn Féin MLA Emma Sheerin says this better than I ever could. DOGS CAN THINK. Part 2So' I concluded ‘ Dogs are non verbal. They cant tell us what they think. But think they do. Its clear from their body language. They don't think the way we do and they don't write or read or stuff like that but they can be taught to do lots of other things. Our wee Anna has trained our Fiadh to do all kinds of fancy tricks.
This meditation was inspired by Marion Weinsteins teaching on words of power. This is a powerful all encompassing affirmation that when said repeatedly will change your life. Note I have designed this with a 15 minute induction in which we countdown from 100. This intended for those who struggle to concentrate and go into the proper alpha-theta brain wave state that is needed for the full implanting of this powerful affirmation There is one powerwhich is perfect abundance and fulfillmentAnd I am a perfect manifestation of this powerthe power working for me and through meprovides for me all the abundance and fulfillmentwhich is rightfully mineI draw to me and create in my life all that I need in the world of form to fulfill my needsthis may come specifically in the form of large sums of moneyI hereby release all cause, effect, manifestation, form and essenceand any channel within me which may have been preventing the appropriate flow of abundance in my lifeI draw upon the balance of resources in the universefor the good of allaccording to the free will of alland I affirm my own wisdom in understanding my needs and how to fulfill themI call to me resources knowing I deprive none and am not deprived myselfI have more than enoughI have just enoughAnd so it must be The meditation begins at 2:17 and the affirmation begins at 16:20 This simple process will tranform you life a variety of levels. Headphones are suggested as this is binaural meaning you will hear different words in each year. This is part of the induction that enhances a communication with the subconscious. "Erotic Sovereignty", "Ecstatic Aquatic Experience", and "Transformational Titi Massage"These were just some of the workshops I attended at this year's SoulPlay festival. There were many many more I could have attended and felt I SHOULD attend. Yet I didn't.What did I do?I went to sleep an hour before things ended the final night, and I left early the last day without attending any more events. Why?Between the workshops, the music, the nature, and the deep human connections I made, I had already experienced what many of us are often struggling to find: EnoughI felt complete. Nothing more was needed. There was no need to get HAVE IT ALL, I had already gotten all I required. I felt free. This show I talk about my experiences and how I ended up being SOUL FULL-filled that I was happy to leave early.Got a question or comment about the show? Let It GoPsalm 91:1-2 “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty”… Where does the almighty need to be if he is providing shade. Can a tree be on the other side of the yard and provide you shade? NO! The tree needs to be close to you. Or rather you need to be close to the tree. That is something the Lord keeps telling us. “Come close to me my children” is said in some form or another week after week in my prayer group. Does the Lord keep saying this because we are not listening? Think about your relationship with your heavenly Father. Do you feel he is calling you to come close to Him? What could you do this week to come closer to the Lord? Could you spend a few extra minutes in prayer? Could you sit quietly and just listen to hear what He has to say? Maybe you could spend a few extra minutes reading scripture? Or, maybe it is as simple as just spending a few extra minutes while you drink your coffee talking to Him. I am not sure what is right for you. Only you know that. I do know that He would not waste His time repeating this to us week after week if He didn't really want us to come closer. It goes on to say, “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”” The words refuge and fortress seem to come up a lot when talking about God. Or at least it seems I am hearing them often. I just looked it up and refuge appears in the Bible 88 times. God is our refuge, that seems pretty clear. So what is a refuge? Refuge is a shelter or protection from danger or distress. That sounds about right. God is definitely our protection from danger or distress. My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Are we trusting that he is our refuge and fortress? Are we getting close and leaning in and letting his shade cover us? God will rescue you from your storm. He tells us this again and again. Sometimes we would feel better if there was no storm. We would like God to spare us from the storm all together. Doesn't that sound nice? How great would it be to never have to worry about a storm, to just be safe all the time? Although that seems like it would be great, it wouldn't. The storms are where we grow, they are what make us stronger. If we did not have any storms we would not need the Lord to rescue us. I heard this description the other day. Imagine you are an arrow. And you are getting ready to take flight and travel an amazing distance to a brand new place. However, you do not have the power to do that until the bow is pulled backwards and builds the tension and then you have the energy you need to go forward. God uses our storms to build us up so that we have the energy and strength to make it to a new place. We are always stronger after a storm. Another way I have heard it explained by David Hollis is in reference to ships. If you are a ship, you are safe when you are in the harbor. You are less likely to encounter a storm when you are safe in the harbor. But that is not what ships were built for. Ships were built to leave the harbor and go out into the open seas. The same is true with you. You were not meant to sit by and watch the storms go by. You can't grow if you avoid all the storms in your life. Yes, they are hard and they are not fun. They can be devastating and yet they can also be a source of great stength. If you are stuck in a stormy season right now I urge you to lean into God. Let Him be your shelter and you will be so much stronger when it passes. It will pass, they always pass. God makes sure of that. I know sometimes it may seem like you have been getting hit with storm after storm and you are wondering when they will pass. I assure you the end is in sight. Keep fighting, keep holding on, God's got you. I know I just talked about a song yesterday and I have no idea if you enjoyed that or not, but when this verse came up today I knew I was supposed to share this song with you. It actually goes well with the past few episodes as well. The song is about letting go of our worries and anxieties while we are in the storm. God is forever telling us not to worry and not to be anxious and yet we still struggle with it because we are all human. If you find yourself struggling right now, or you find that you are worrying more than you'd like I then I would like to suggest you listen to this song on repeat. It not only has good lyrics, but a pretty catchy tune too. Do people still say catchy anymore? Anyway, I will not sing it for you, as I am sure you don't want that. I will go over some of my favorite parts, I will list all the words in the show notes, and I will also put a link so you can watch the lyric video if you like. (Click Here)Here are the lyrics:It's hard for me to let go, hard for me to breatheThinking that I gotta control it allI can feel my worry and anxietyWhen it's slipping through my fingers and I know itI've been losing my sleep, I've been losing my coolI can feel my heart go boom, boom, boomStarin' at the ceiling, feeling like a foolI'm going under and I know itHow many of us know exactly how he is feeling? How many of us feel like we have to control everything? We feel like if we don't everything will fall apart. Then we feel extra anxious when it feels like it is all slipping through our fingers because if we can't save it who will. Losing sleep and losing my cool is something that I have definitely experienced before. What about that line about feeling his heart go boom, boom, boom, how true is that. Can't you just feel his anxiety when you hear the beginning words. Don't worry, I am not going to leave you with that. The song goes on to say:But I hear You whisper to meIf I lose my grip I could seeThat You are carrying meThis is true for all of us. If we loosen up our grip we would see that God has actual control. He is carrying us so we don't have to worry about falling. But we can't see this if we don't loosen our grip. Oh, I'm gonna let itI'm gonna let it goOh, 'cause if I trust itI could move with Your flowBeing carried in the current of Your loveWhen I lean into Your arms, You're enoughI love love love this line. “Being carried in the current of your love.” I can just picture being swept away in a gently flowing current of God's love. First it says, if I trust it. This is the key. We can't take that leap into the current if we don't trust it will be there for us. Trust is hard and also so essential. God wants to help us trust Him, we just need to ask. I also love when it says “When I lean into your arms, You're Enough.” I just picture God's strong and gentle arms giving me a big hug as I lean in.Time for me to let go, time for me to breatheKnowing that He already holds it allTime for me to turn down this anxietyI can know my freedom in a moment'Cause when I lay it all down, You gonna lift me upWhen I pour it all out You gonna fill my cupYou're holding out Your arms and telling me to jumpOne, two, three, here I go, yeahWhat do you think is it time for you to let go, is it time for you to breathe? God is in control, as much as we feel like we are, its not the case. You can be free from this anxiety and worry. I love how he says, “When I lay it all down, your gonna lift me up. When I pour it all out, your gonna fill my cup.” This is exactly what happens. God lets us try to fix things ourselves if that is what we want. He only steps in when we put it down at His feet and ask Him to take over. Then He does. He will pick you up once you are ready to ask Him to. God is holding out His arms and He is asking you to jump. Are you ready? Dear Heavenly Father I ask you to bless all those listening to this episode today. Lord we ask that you give us strength in the storm. We thank you for being our refuge and fortress. We ask that you help us release control of our worries over to you. We thank you for the storms in our lives because we know that they are making us stronger. You are a good and faithful God and we love you. We want to jump into your arms Lord Jesus, help us. Give us the courage and the trust to take that leap of faith that you have been encouraging us to take. One, two three here were go Lord. We ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus' holy name, AmenI'm Gonna Let It Go By: Jason GrayIt's hard for me to let go, hard for me to breatheThinking that I gotta control it allI can feel my worry and anxietyWhen it's slipping through my fingers and I know itI've been losing my sleep, I've been losing my coolI can feel my heart go boom, boom, boomStarin' at the ceiling, feeling like a foolI'm going under and I know itBut I hear You whisper to meIf I lose my grip I could seeThat You are carrying meOh, I'm gonna let itI'm gonna let it goOh, 'cause if I trust itI could move with Your flowBeing carried in the current of Your loveWhen I lean into Your arms, You're enoughSo, I'm gonna let itI'm gonna let it goTime for me to let go, time for me to breatheKnowing that He already holds it allTime for me to turn down this anxietyI can know my freedom in a moment'Cause when I lay it all down, You gonna lift me upWhen I pour it all out You gonna fill my cupYou're holding out Your arms and telling me to jumpOne, two, three, here I go, yeah'Cause I hear You whisper to meIf I lose my grip I will seeYou're always carrying meOh, I'm gonna let itI'm gonna let it goOh, 'cause if I trustedI could move with Your flowBeing carried in the current of Your loveWhen I lean into Your arms, You're enoughSo, I'm gonna let itI'm gonna let it goLetting go of my worries (letting go of my worries)And my need to control things (and my need to control things)I'm gonna take You at Your word and (I'm gonna take You at Your word)I'm gonna lay down all my burdens (all my burdens)Letting go of my worries (letting go of my worries)And my need to control things (and my need to control things)I'm gonna take You at Your word andI'm gonna lay down all my burdens (all my burdens)Oh, I'm gonna let itI'm gonna let it goOh, 'cause if I trustedI could move with Your flowBeing carried in the current of Your loveWhen I lean into Your arms, You're enoughSo, I'm gonna let itI'm gonna let it go
Happy GratiTuesday, Today's breath is: the 4, 7, 8 Breath Which: Reduces Anxiety, Helps you go to sleep, manages craving and controls and reduces anger responsesHere's how to do it: you can do this sitting or on your back. You will inhale through your nose to the count of 4, hold to the count of 7, then exhale forcefully through your mouth pursing your lips and making a whoosh sound for 8 seconds Let's do this three times:Inhale through your nose to the count of 4, hold to the count of 7 and then forcefully exhale through your pursed lips for 8 seconds.Again: Inhale through your nose to the count of 4, hold to the count of 7 and then forcefully exhale through your pursed lips for 8 seconds.Last one: Inhale through your nose to the count of 4, hold to the count of 7 and then forcefully exhale through your pursed lips for 8 seconds. Now continue this breath while I give you your Morning Nudge! Today's nudge is: I am enough, I have enoughBe happy, proud and satisfied with who you are and what you are. Don't let others tell you that you need to be more. As long as you are being a productive, kind and good human being, then you are enough. You also don't need to keep accumulating stuff. You can't take it with you when you die. No one will ever remember you by all of the stuff that you had. They will remember you by the good human being that you were. Sometimes it is ok to be satisfied with where you are in life and just take a breather and let yourself just be. You are enough and you have enough! Let's repeat this nudge three times:I am enough, I have enoughI am enough, I have enoughI am enough, I have enough Have a great GratiTuesday!
I'm never good enoughI should be exercising more, eating less, eating healthier food, attend a mindfulness course, spend more time with my kids, focus more on work, make more money, spend less money, be involved in a charity, pay more attention to what I do with my waste, be nicer with my partner, stop eating meat, stop eating processed food, stop drinking alcohol, eat organic food, avoid gluten… What else?I'm pretty sure you have more things on your guilt list. The concept of New Year resolutions reinforces this idea that now is THE time to change things and become a better person. This whole idea is in fact very toxic. Most people already find it difficult to cope with all their responsibilities and have no idea how to get to this “ideal” life that's being advertised to them. I suggest that instead we take moments for ourselves to reflect on different aspects of our lives. -What are the things that I'm unhappy about and that I'd like to change?-How am I going to accomplish that in a safe way, in a way that I feel comfortable with?http://www.philippetahon.com

Show Up to Go UpEp 49 Change Your Thoughts, Change your LifeAll your beliefs start with your thoughts. The thoughts that you think about over and over again ultimately become your beliefs. If you struggle with limiting beliefs the good news is you can change those beliefs by changing your thoughts. Here's how...1.) Pay attention to the thought you have and the stories you tell yourself over and over again. Awareness is ALWAYS the first step.2.) Write down 5-10 limiting beliefs/doubts/negative things you tell yourself. Here are some examples...I'm not good enoughI'm too weird to fit inI'm not skinny enough3.) Recognize those things for what they are...LIES! You don't have to believe those things about yourself. They are just the stories you've been telling yourself but they don't have to be your truth! Cross out everything you wrote on your list!4.) Write an affirming statement that counters the limiting belief you wrote. Here are examples from the limiting belief examples...God created me for a reason. He made me perfect in his eyesMy weirdness is a gift because it makes me uniqueMy body is beautiful/strong5.) Look at your affirmation list daily and anytime you have a negative thought stop yourself and replace it with the matching affirmation.Remember - you have formed the habit of repeating your negative thoughts. You can for a different habit but it WILL take time. Give yourself grace but stay consistent. Keep showing up for yourself because if you do there is nowhere you can go but up!Head over to my website www.showuptogoup.com for a deeper dive.

My husband did the dishes last night when they kept stacking up. I am so grateful when people show up and intuitively know I could use help.On yesterday’s masterclass eight people weren’t able to get on because my tech person was booked for the day. No problems even exist when our focus and eyes are so centered on Christ. Because of the feedback I have received from Kathy I have a free 21 day challenge I introduced on the masterclass. I will share that content on The Lord’s Way to Wealth Facebook group. The charity in which we serve in our homes perpetuates Christ and His love. This is an abundant earth and we are designed to love and live abundantly.Today I give myself permission to see the divinity in people around meI AmI am increasing in charity, faith, and hopeI am sharing Christ’s messageHe always has enoughI am in complete alignment with ChristMy eyes are on ChristI have His power within meI am connected with everyoneI see people with Christ’s eyesI see the divinity in each person’s heartClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. Allow with no wish to control. I thought of the line “My pride ruled my will,” in the hymn Lead Kindly Light. In today’s Master Class – Harnessing the Power of Christ to conquer the storm, I am teaching about following Christ. “Lead kindly light amid the encircling gloom.” We have power to conquer over any storm.Last night meeting with Jennifer and we reviewed the dream alignment call from the Masterclass from June. It was a second witness that these things are the right processes at the right time.Christ is always there as we look back. All things are working in our favor. In the daily GPS planner at the end you go back and write all the inspired shortcuts and you can see Christ in your daily process. It also has really helped to connect all the dots like Malinda explained today from the Architecture of Life.Today I give myself permission to I am looking to GodI am readyChrist makes my efforts enoughI am doing my best and it is enoughMy experiences are just rightAll these things create compassion and charity in meI am being guided alwaysIt is all God’s planClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. I’ve been doing a study of charity for the past few weeks. It’s like this deep, vast well of information. Christ is charity. Assurity is eyes on Christ. My assurity is in Christ. Everything else is changeable. He is my center and grounded source.Robert recognized that Heavenly Father watches over us in confidence. Comfort. The way he is writing his book he feels that he has Charity because he had hope. There is synergy in faith hope and charityThere is peace in Christ knowing he helps us let go to step into faith.Today I give myself permission to feel the Assurance of the LordTo choose new is to choose ChristI go to sleep & wake up in peace with ChristI have Christ’s assurance I am enoughI am a loved good and faithful servantI live in Christ’s assurance todayI am on Christ’s timeI am always part of the OneI am seen and loved by GodI let go of the need to save myself and go to God for forgivenessI trust that the Atonement is enough for meClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. And my prayer is that people will see that Jesus is worth it.Common Objections:I don't know enoughI'm not qualifiedI don't have any influenceI'm not capableI'm too oldI'm too youngI'm not willingWe must remember God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called. God is not looking for ability. He's looking for availability.2 Corinthians I love. 2:1-5 – “When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power.”This is the Apostle Paul! You would think he entered the room like a professional with courage, eloquence, and charisma, but no! He said he came in “weakness with great fear and trembling.”Being used by God is simply a matter of saying yes to his will, his direction, and his leading. He sees in us what we do not see. What is a personal narrative, and what does it have to do with my teen? Personal narratives are the stories that we tell ourselves about ourselves, others, and our circumstances. These narratives are tied to our thoughts and our beliefs, which then influence our feelings and actions. Our personal narratives as parents are often reflected and copied by our children. The stories we tell ourselves, our personal narrative, become our reality because we begin to believe them. Some of my past personal narratives.I'm the first to admit that this is an area that I used to struggle with. As a teen I thought that there was something wrong with me. Those thoughts carried over into my adult years until I finally addressed them through coaching and using the model. I’m not good enoughI’m a trouble makerI’m not smart enough. I’m not coolI’ve ruined my lifeNobody likes meNarratives that I'm practicing today. You CAN change your personal narrative. You don't have to continue believing the harmful stories from your past. It isn't always easy, but it is totally doable. Here's a few narratives that are helping me right now. I am good enoughMy past troubles were actually preparing me for greatnessI can bounce back from anythingMy teen is resilientHe is doing his bestHis struggles are preparing him for greatness. So, where do I start?Lot's of parents want to change their teen's personal narrative. They say, "My teen doesn't have confidence because he's constantly telling us that he's 'not good enough.'" His narrative is definitely linked to his confidence, BUT you have to remember that you can only control YOUR NARRATIVE!You cannot change your teen's narrative. You can only have an impact on their narrative by controlling your own personal narrative. Here's a good place to start.Become aware of your personal narrative about yourselfThis is the most powerful place to start. If you have negative narratives about yourself, you are more likely to have narratives about others or even just your circumstances. Become aware of your personal narrative about your teen.Start to pay attention to the thoughts that you have about your teen. How you think about your teen impacts how you treat them. Explore your teen’s personal narrative through observation and conversation.Watch your teen. Look for clues as to what their narrative is. Listen to the things they say about themselves and others. Have a conversation with them about this. Become intentional about your personal narrative.Once you've become aware of exactly what your personal narrative sounds like, start the practice of becoming intentional. Practice over and over. I hope you were able to go to the show notes for Part I and ask yourself if any of the low self-worth descriptors applied to your life. Every once, and a while I will provide you with specific questions to help you reflect on where you stand and to challenge to create a better version of yourself. Listen, you can’t defeat what you can’t define. You can’t change what you are unwilling to confront. Self-awareness is key. Self-awareness is the conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires. Self-awareness requires three questions: what am I doing?, what am I feeling?, and what are my blindspots? As a master life coach I have clients fill out a personal SWOT analysis in order to help them become more self-aware. The personal SWOT analysis is somewhat like x-ray or MRI that helps individuals gain a better understanding of where they stand. It asks four important discovery questions: what are my strengths, what are my weaknesses, what are my opportunities, and what are my threats? Becoming self-aware takes your life off of auto-pilot and the cyclical monotony that takes you to the same dead end street every time. Self-awareness allows you to shift, adjust, and pivot your life in order to produce a different outcome. Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”People that repeatedly experience significant rejection by others end up believing that deserve to be rejected. They internalize the message and then reject themselves. This is especially true when the rejection is coming from those who are in authority and that the child depends on.Such children grow up replying in their minds the recorded messages, the rejections they received until that voice becomes their own internal voice. It is virtually impossible for children to replace the big booming voices of their parents with their own small inner voices. The words spoken over us by our parents and people in authority in our lives 90% of time become prophetic words that materialize in adulthood unless we are able to override such thoughts with the extreme polar opposite. Otherwise you end up developing self-limiting beliefs. In a nutshell limiting beliefs are those ideas that we have believed about ourselves and that keep us from moving forward.Henry Ford said “whether you think you can or you think you can’t you are absolutely right” In other words whatever you think about self becomes your reality.Self-limiting beliefs sound like this:I can’tI don’tI won’t everI’m too oldI’m too youngI’m too poorI’m too fat or too skinnyI am not smart enoughI am a mess, I am hopelessI don’t have enough timeMoney is the root of all evilOne day I will changeI will start tomorrowI will never be happyI don’t deserve nice thingsI have such bad luckI can’t changeWhy even try, I always fail3 Steps to change your life:1) Change your belief system (about yourself)2) Once your belief system has changed it will consequently produce different behavior3) Different behavior will produce a different outcome
am in am fulfilling my higher purpose with gratitude mean giving your life, but it can. Often with sincere sacrifice comes honor and respect. There is a balance between fighting and serving and protecting.Kathy watched a program yesterday which clarified Memorial Day is to Honor those who are dead and Veterans Day is to honor those still living.Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven. Mothers give their hearts in love in raising children. We can teach our children of people sacrificing to gain and protect freedoms versus people that give away or undermine our freedoms. We can honor those who have given a blood sacrifice by protecting our freedoms. One way we can do this is by overcoming our limiting beliefs and by following our God given directions.Today I give myself permission to serve and protectI am called of GodThrough Christ my sacrifice in love is enoughI am serving and protecting in loveI am choosing beautiful sacrifice everydayI am changed in sanctifying sacrificeI am in am fulfilling my higher purpose with gratitudeI am motivated to sacrifice from pure loveServing motivated by love is true sacrificeClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. Looking at the examples of Jesus healing blind men we all have the components and the strength within us to be healed. I can do all things in Christ.Limiting beliefs can block and limit healing. By finding one small area of our lives where are new beliefs are true we can declare them with power for all areas. We are designed to handle any challenge.Phil spoke today about applying resistance in physical strength, but resistance to our spiritual nature and spirit impedes spiritual growth. The “I will” mind finds a way to accomplish. “I will” is a companion declaration to “I am”.Today I give myself permission to work through my inner strengthI have all the components to healI am designed to handle any challengeI am a Disciple of Christ with positive expectationMy strength is enoughI am consistent in aligned habitsI am firm and solid in my faithI am resilient and I trust the Lord’s lightI am firm and solid in my faithClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. We are raised to think of all the things we're not. As ADHDers we hear 20000 more negative comments than our neurotypical peers as children (probably more if we're farther from societal ideals). We grow up hiding symptoms, apologising for ourselves and enduring school and other systems that don't work with our differences in mind (including our intersectional identities!). We grow up with a damaged sense of self and low self worth. If we've grown up with undiagnosed ADHD, we don't know what's going on at all and that can feel even worse. This episode shares a bit more about growing up and the messages I received about myself, how they shaped my experiences with undiagnosed ADHD, and what I'm trying to do now to be a lot kinder with myself as I explore becoming the person who I truly want to beWhat I Learned:1. Dear You- Creating A Happier, Motivated, Wiser Version Of You
Do you feel like you're behind in life? It's so easy to play the comparison game and feel like you're not working enoughI read this quote by Will Smith, "You don’t set out to build a wall. You don't say ‘I’m going to build the biggest, baddest, greatest wall that’s ever been built.’ You don’t start there. You say, ‘I’m going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid.’ You do that every single day. And soon you have a wall.” That changed my perspective. I think all of us feel this pressure of achieving things and maybe that's not even what we actually want.I hope this helps and motivates you :)Let me know @nabeelah.munshi
Last night when I went to bed I had a question in my mind. I awoke at 3:30 AM and had a thought, wrote it down, and went back to sleep. The questions I had, was surrounding my choices in the evening once I was done with my work for the day. The last couple weeks I have had back to back calls. I am pretty tired, and mentally done by the end of the day. I have been sitting and watching a TV series with my husband in the evenings.Last night I was questioning, if this was okay. I had some weird feelings inside me. I didn’t feel shameful, I just had the question, is it okay for me to sit here like this? When I woke up early in the morning the one statement that came to me, was “…man shall not live by bread alone”. (KJV Matthew 4:4) I know it’s okay to relax at the end of the day. God gave us time to rest. He took a whole day to rest when His work was complete. All that is required is that I do my inspired shortcut and whatever else happens during the day is bonus! We all need rest and rejuvenation. There are always improvements and growth possible. However, we can choose to acknowledge that we are enough, our efforts are enough and allow ourselves to feel a sense of satisfaction. Feeling satisfied can be found in every circumstance. We can know at all times that God is pleased with our efforts in the life we’re creating.Today, I Give Myself Permission To Know I am EnoughI am satisfied with where I am nowI have clear visionI am organized, efficient, and effectiveI create with passionI am powerful by being vulnerableI am in good standing with GodI am satisfied with all that has been created in my lifeI am creating balance in my lifeI am enjoying moments of stillness and movementI am grateful I live in a state of satisfaction alwaysClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. Superweek is a Hungarian conference hosted on the top of a hill, you can't run away, you can't hide. But Jente sais, he liked that, because everyone has to talk to everyone. To each his own :D Jente is on Linkedin here and if you would like to talk shop, chat him up on the business website. Here are the links to the things we talked about on the podcast: Generic Digital Data Layer framework opensource code: https://bitbucket.org/xploregroup/xploregroup-webanalytics-demo/src/master/ Measure Slack for the digital analytics community: https://www.measure.chat/ And here is the full presentation from his talk on Superweek so that you can follow along with the podcast. A vision for sustainable analytics implementations - Superweek 2020 from Jente De Ridder Here is the transcript of the talk we had: Jente: The framework has been implemented. What we've done is we've decided to make the framework open-source. It's available for everyone who wants to use it, it can be shared in the notes afterwards. Peter: This is time for marketing. The marketing podcast that will tell you everything you've missed when you didn't attend the marketing conference. Hello. Welcome to the time for marketing podcast, the podcast that brings you the best marketing conference speakers directly to your podcast listening app. My name is Peter and this episode number 32. Well, we will be going to a conference in Hungary. Before we do that, as you know, podcasts are usually things that people should listen to. You, yes you, can help me to get more people to listen to this podcast. If you like the speakers that I had in the past, and I know you will love today's speaker, just tell anyone. Just people that you've heard that are using podcast. Tell them time4marketing.com is a great website where you can get an interesting podcast. Now, we go directly to Belgium. With me today is Jente De Ridder. Jente, hello and welcome to the podcast. Jente: Hi, Peter. Thanks for having me here. Peter: How are you doing? How is Belgium? I've always imagined Belgium as one of the European cold countries, is this so? Jente: Well, we have global warming also here so it's getting better. [chuckles] It's true, we have a lot of rain but we do have our nice days as well. Peter: And loads of chocolates, everything is better in Belgium. Do you also have a lot of fries or is that only a Dutch thing? The fires [inaudible 00:02:06]? Jente: It's definitely a Belgium thing. We have the best fries in the world, the best chocolates, and also over 100 very good beers so for all those things, you should come to Belgium. Peter: All right. You should be paid by your tourist community to help promote Belgium. Jente, you are the managing partner and a digital analyst at a company called Stitched. Tell us a bit about the company, and more interesting tell us a bit more about what you do. What is your everyday work like? Jente: I'll start with Stitched. Stitched is a digital analytics boutique consultancy firm active in Belgium and in the Netherlands. What we do is we help enterprise clients to get more value out of their data. We are mostly focused on their digital data so our mission is actually to help those companies make use of the data they're gathering in tools like web analytics. Because what we often see is that those companies that have BI team or data scientists in-house that those teams are used to working with CRM data, point of sale data, but they don't really understand how the digital data is gathered. Because digital data it's imperfect data, of course, and this can be quite hard for them to get their minds around. What we do with Stitched is, from our experience in the digital data, we team up with those internal BI teams or the data scientists and we integrate the digital data in the entire data sets, the entire data warehouse of the company. We mainly focus on challenges like how do you cope with identification in a digital environment and those kinds of things. Peter: How did you get into analytics? Jente: I started analytics over eight years ago now by working in a online marketing agency. I learnt everything involved in online marketing there, the advertising part, social, content creation, search optimization, and also analytics. It was really that data part that motivate me the most. After a year, I decided to switch to another company I could pick up a full-time web analyst role and I've been building a team within that company since then. Mainly, everything that I know about digital analytics I learned it myself by reaching out to the measure community, reaching out to other people, reading blog posts. It's hard to start in digital analytics as there's not really an education course preparing you for it. It's really your own motivation and your drive to really understand things and go look them up yourself. Peter: I've invited you to the podcast because you had a very interesting presentation at the Superweek conference in Hungary. That's a conference at top of a hill, how was that? Jente: Well, it was a really nice experience. I've been to Superweek before also as a participant and I really love that conference. It's one of the leading conferences within web analytics or digital analytics in the world at the moment mainly because many of the thought leaders are there for the entire week and you have, of course, great presentations being given. The most valuable part is that everyone is there in the hotel for an entire week. There's nothing in the neighborhood around, so it's indeed on top of a hill, more than an hour drive away from Budapest. It's in the middle of nowhere and all you have is the hotel, the lobby bar, there is a big campfire every night outside, you have a hot tub, a swimming pool. There's a lot of room for exchanging ideas with your peers, really going into discussions about analytics and that's what makes the experience really nice. I would recommend it to everyone active in the digital analytics sphere. Peter: I've seen the pictures of bonfires at night at front of the hotel, that looks really, really interesting. Your presentation was called a vision for sustainable analytics implementation. We've chatted enoughI hink, let's go directly to your presentation. Jente, here are your five minutes. Jente: What we've done with the team of Stitched with one of our clients [unintelligible 00:06:43] in the Netherlands. It's energy supplier, they're a market leader in the Netherlands and over two years ago we were asked by them to implement a new data layer because they were switching from hardcoded [unintelligible 00:06:54] implementation to a Tag Manager implementation and they also [unintelligible 00:06:59] a new data layer. They have a really complex landscape, they have different departments, multiple brands, so many platforms. There were like eight different platforms with all different CMSs being managed by different development teams, different marketing teams. It's your typical enterprise environment where there's a lot of complex things and not everything is aligned. As a business they require to have numbers across those brands, across those platforms, and they want to compare those numbers only one dashboard, those kinds of things. We start thinking from there what is the best approach to implement a data layer here so one unified data layer across all those platforms. Also taking into account the challenges within the web analytics that we saw, where one of the biggest challenges was, of course, that's normal, the original web analytics is page-based, so you track every time your route changes. That is not really sufficient anymore because more and more development frameworks are modular, like Angular, for instance, you have single-page applications. It's not enough anymore to know that the page has changed but you want to know what was on the page at the moment. Same when you look at different devices being used, the screen size of people coming into your website is always different. What do they see actually, instead of which page has been loaded? Same when you look at personalization, we show different things to different people on our homepage, so just having a report where you know that your homepage has been seen 10,000 times doesn't tell you what was on that page at the moment people visited. Those challenges we also try to solve them with our approach that we're looking for. There was also the fact that the implementation of this new data layer would be really quite a heavy investment from the organization because of the scale of the platform. This was also something that they were willing to do, but of course they don't want to do this every two years for instance. What is the case in many companies that you see today is that there are new implementations happening every two or three years because all too often development implementation is based on the specific vision of one person. The person that's in charge of the implementation at the moment [unintelligible 00:09:13] for instance. Once that person switches roles or goes to another company, someone else comes in and he has his own vision and they must go through an entire implementation again. We want to prevent those kinds of situations and just make sure that the investment was worth it for doing it once and you don't have to do it every couple of years again. That's when we came up with a framework that we've called the Generic Digital Data Layer Framework, where we changed the vision of [unintelligible 00:09:40] starting from page-based tracking to event-based. Everything that happens on our webpage can be considered as an event because already it's all the user interactions happening that are already seen as browser events. For people who are familiar with a bit of customization policies they already work with those events probably. Again, we want to track things like someone clicks on a button, someone submits a form, a specific piece of content has been seen by the user, those are all events happening in the browser. What we've done is we've made those events abstract as possible. We start thinking, "Don't think on a specific page level." Don't look at what is on that page and what do we want to track now, just think on the component level of a CMS. Within your CMS, your developers, they build components which can then be used to create pages by Content Manager. It's based on those components, that level that you will start thinking about your tracking. Every time a button component, for instance, is being used we want to know if that button has been within the view of the visitor. Has the user seen that button, and we want to know if someone has clicked on it? Those are two events that you want to know for every button. We'll tell the developer start implementing those events on the component of the button and once [unintelligible 00:11:01] on the page, the track is already included and we don't need to edit them. This has some advantages. That one, it's clear where the responsibility is for implementing tracking, it cannot be forgotten because it's already present in the CMS. Also, as an analyst, you know that that tracking is available and you don't need to create specific briefings every time a new page is created by someone. There's a lot of time saved there for the web [unintelligible 00:11:27] that you would normally be spending on creating briefings you can now spend on analyzing data. That's how we start our vision, really abstract events happening on the page. We ended up with a list of I believe 15 components that are typically used within CMSs to build pages and on those 15 components, we had 20 or 25 different events happening. That's our entire list. We have a [unintelligible 00:11:54] with 25 events and then for every of those events, we just add in the variables that you need to know because as an analyst it's great to understand when something's happening, when is an event occurring. To make sense of it, to really be able to give advice based on those events you need to understand the context of events, that's when the variables come in. For every event, you define a couple of variables that need to be present to be able to make your analysis. For instance, again, back to the example of our button, for every button component we want to know the name and the placements for where is the button placed on the page and maybe also the text of the button. This can be different variables being used for every button that is in place on the page. That's the idea of the framework. The other challenge is you want to make it sustainable, you want to be able to be sure that you only do implement it once and not again every time someone comes in again, new people enter organization or when new tools are being used by the organization the organization switches from Adobe Analytics to Google Analytics. Those situations also would need [unintelligible 00:13:00]. What we've done, we want to make our framework completely [unintelligible 00:13:04] agnostic and we started there with not building a real data layer because the data layer is always agnostic, it uses specific syntax based on the tag manager you're using. Google tag manager has their own syntax, Adobe doesn't even really have a syntax that they prescribe, they refer to the W3C guidelines created almost three years ago, Tealium have their own syntax for data layer. All those vendors have their own syntax. What we've done is we decided to just all the implementation stuff, the implication of the event itself, we decide to stick with simple vanilla JavaScript and HTML data attributes for the variables. We've created these JavaScript that just listens to those events happening on the page. It puts them in an array, just like an event queue. We have an invent queue that builds up when those events happen on the page while the user goes through the websites and then we have a translator script that translates the entire event queue to the syntax that is expected by your tag manager. When you use Google Tag Manager, those events will be translated to a data layer low push syntax, if you have a Tealium the data layer will be translated in another way. What we have is JavaScript in HTML data attributes being implemented on the platform. That's the responsibility of your developer and he does that on the CMS template level, not on the page level. Next to that, you have one script that runs on the website which will listen to those events, which are our event subscriber and then you have a translator script that translates those events to the syntax as expected by your marketing tools. From then on, it's the responsibility of your web analyst that's in charge of the tag manager to decides what events need to be sent to where. He can decide we need the tag manager, I want these events to be sent to Google Analytics, to Adobe Analytics, to our marketing platforms, to our Facebook pixels, those kind of things. That's all in the tag manager. Again, you don't implement different codes for Facebook for Google, it's just one implementation, one event, and it can be sent to multiple tools but not by implementing the two specific code on your platform itself. The benefits are, of course, the mutation is much clearer hence all the vendor-specific or the tool-specific things those are-- you expect that the web analyst [unintelligible 00:15:23] people work with those tools, that they understand how those tools expect the data coming in. That's a bit the framework that we implemented and what we've done is-- [unintelligible 00:15:33] I present this framework I got a lot of nice feedback on it from the people present. We decide to make the framework open source so it's available for everyone who wants to use it. It's not something that we claim so the open-source codes can be shared in the notes of the podcast afterwards for those interested. Peter: We'll do that. That's excellent and good to opening your code up to people. Your framework sounds great, the question here is how big of a company should it be for it to be a good idea for them to switch to your framework and not go specific to one of the tools that they can implement themselves? Jente: Some of the ideas of the framework in there just best practices which I would recommend to everyone. Using event-driven approach is something that everyone should start using. It's also what you've seen with Google Analytics switching to the new prescribed measurements protocol, they are switching to more event-driven approach. Data analytics is something very specific so for the size of the company to make this useful, the benefits are larger for large corporations. To give you an idea, some of our clients that are using it at the moment is actually in the Netherlands with over 3,000 employees, multiple brands. We have Bose from the sounds systems, they have implemented it on their platforms worldwide, we have an insurance company in Belgium who has implemented also 2000 employees. It's the large corporations who are using it at the moment. The framework enables on any platform the thing is you need to do an entire new implementation of your data layer. What we mostly recommend to our customers is when you will do a new implementation anyway do it in this way. You know it's future proof, it doesn't matter if you will be changing tools somewhere in the future or not but if there's no need at the moment to redo your implementation or existing platform then just stick with what you have and you can continue building on that. Because it's still quite an investment to just implement your entire data layer over again. That's really useful when you go to a new platform or are switching tools at the moment or something like that. That's a good situation to implement this one. Peter: Will be a good idea when you're redoing your web page to also redo your whole data layer or would you first say that first to do all of the technical stuff for your new web page and then go do the analytics? Jente: No. If you would redo your website just take the data and the analytics part with it from the start, just make it one of the requirements that needs to be included. Because also in the organization we work with, within the definition of done for an organization working in a [unintelligible 00:18:28] way, the definition of done includes analytics components as well. Tracking needs to be present and needs to be verified by an analyst before something can be released. Peter: If people would like to talk to you about analytics implementation, where can they find you? Jente: They can always reach out to me via my LinkedIn profile or on the Measure Slack community. For people active professionally in analytics it's called Measure Slack, go look it up if you're not part of it yet. Peter: Add the link to the show notes to that? Jente: All right. We go into MeasureCamp Bratislava within a month, at the end of March. Probably I'm also at MeasureCamp Amsterdam but I don't have a ticket yet, I'm on the waiting list there, and also MeasureCamp Brussels later this year. I'm quite a fan of MeasureCamp. Peter: [chuckles] I wanted to ask you what conferences would you recommend to people to go to but it seems that Superweek and MeasureCamps are the places for analysts to go? Jente: Yes. Those are really community-driven events and I myself get the most value out of those events where you have a lot of time for networking and discussing with your peers. I often value those more than just really good keynotes but that's my point of view. Peter: All right, Jente, thank you very much for being the guest on the podcast number 32. It was great pleasure hearing about the framework for analytics that you've developed. I think that's it, you can say goodbye now. Jente: All right. Bye, and thanks for having me, Peter. Peter: Bye-bye. [music] [00:20:30] [END OF AUDIO]
There is great comfort in knowing, that there is knowledge beyond my own!I understand that within the universe, knowledge of everything exists. And even though I don’t personally have all knowledge, it’s out there, and I receive what I need at the perfect moment.I don’t have to know every little thing, and I am grateful for the comfort that comes with this understanding. An experience I had comes to mind, where I committed to work, in a type of partnership, with someone. Following taking action on moving forward with this, I received some new knowledge that created a sense of caution within me, in regards to this commitment.Even though I have already taken some action, as I received new knowledge, I can always make necessary adjustments.Allowing ourselves to be open to knowledge is important. As we receive knowledge, in many forms, we can be reminded of things we have possibly repressed, and receive inspiration that comes directly from our higher power of how to identify it and step beyond it.As I let go of my agenda, and follow this inspiration, there is always greater strength and wisdom that comes.Today, I Give Myself Permission To Be Open To The Perfect Knowledge For MeI am courageous, strong, and wise in letting goI receive the best knowledge at the best timeI am enoughI love what I know, and am effortlessly receiving more knowledgeI am strong, full of life, energy and vitalityI knowI know and trust GodI have limitless access to all knowledgeClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. Such a powerful call today, I barely could keep my emotions in check to facilitate the call. Thanks to all who attended live. This is definitely one to re-listen to and share.I am so grateful for Christ and my partnership with Him in working out my salvation, and just as important, in leading a fulfilling life on Earth.I can try and try, but it takes His grace and mercy to finish. My part is really minuscule, yet that is all I have time for.Christ is partnered with my relatives from generations past to help them finish, and so He is with my kids and future generations. The idea of Christ making up the difference may bring thoughts of unworthiness as for some on our call this morning. Let me assure you, these are limiting beliefs. His mission on Earth was specifically that! Our choice to be unworthy of it, doesn’t change the fact that it is available to us.Thanks to several on the call for helping us remember that we, by divine design, as babies being raised by earthly parents, learn by doing. We attempt, we fall down, we try again. Every attempt is a victory for a baby learning to walk! So why not live in success all the time?In fact…we CAN celebrate every step and rejoice in every attempt! We are partners with Christ, and in that knowledge, we can leap forward, risk everything, because He is there to lift us when we fall!Today, I Give Myself Permission to Do My PartI am worthyI am a perfect fit for my lifeI am on my own path with Christ as my partnerI support others in their path, as it aligns with my pathI am grateful I am following God’s plan for meI am enoughI am trusting my next stepI am confident in God’s presenceI give time to knowing my part and doing itI am in my comfort zone being and working alongside ChristI see and feel the contrast of what is my part and what is Christ’sI set my intentions based on my partI know my part and I allow others to do their partI conduct my life with Christ as my partner.Support the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
When I work with a client who is overcoming addiction, one of the first exercises I have them do is to create an art piece. The three ways we connect are:with Godwith ourselveswith othersCreating something artistic requires all three to be complete. We connect with God in the form of inspired ideas of what we want to createWe connect with ourselves as we take action on those inspired ideas by creating the art pieceWe connect with others as we share our creative workThe triad of connection fulfilled in an authentic way, is the recipe for the antidote to addiction…and the success that takes us beyond fulfilling our base needs.I remember being the room mom in my kids’ elementary school years. One of the most fun parts of the school day was ‘show and tell’. Remember? How cool it would be if we could all use our imagination to create something and then with the eagerness of a first grader, share it with our classmates! We all have the gift of receiving inspiration, and many other spiritual gifts. We just need to develop them. The Daily GPS process is the best way I know to perfect this skill. It takes daily seeking to be inspired on how we best serve, to know where we fit. We can all be instruments in God’s hands, if we only ask who we get to serve. Phil stated that our whole existence is reliant on knowing how we add value to help all of us become One.There is a great sea of knowledge out there, and we cannot know what is relevant to us individually unless we are open to receiving inspired ideas. Then, it’s like a breaching whale, easy to spot. (Thanks Felicia for that imagery)If we will listen, we will receive inspired ideas of how to prepare for the day. Michael, who is a handy-man said sometimes he is prompted to place tools in his van that he doesn’t think is necessary. But at some point during the day, that tool is exactly what is needed.Mary, on the call was grateful that she can receive inspired ideas throughout the day. We can constantly check in and say: “does this feel right?”Our ability to receive inspiration from the highest source requires that we be on the same frequency – like a radio station. If we are in an energy that is out of alignment with God, we may have lots of static that causes us to question what we hear. If we align ourselves with the highest truth, the messages come in loud and clearToday, I Give Myself Permission to Ask and Receive My Inspired MessagesI am enoughI am perfectI am wholeI am completeI am the greatest!I speak loud and proud, the inspired messages I receiveI trust GodI trust my source of inspirationI know, because God knows and I asked Him to tell meI excelI appreciate and enjoy success every day being guided by inspirationMy gift to the world is my show and tell from the heartClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. At the beginning of the year, I made a decision to dedicate the year to developing a new Christ-like trait. And the inspired thought came to me to choose a name that Christ is called that resonated with me.At that time, “The Word” was the name of Christ that most resonated with me. I love words for the power they hold in creating the life I choose.Within a month or so after I chose that character trait to develop, another name of Christ,”The Living Water” applied very deeply to my journey, so I added that to my character traits to deliberately learn about. For many months, I focused on these two and gained tremendous insight into Christ and His life and purpose using only those two names as a source of study. I also found how I can be The Word and the The Living Water for others in His stead.Just a couple months ago someone suggested that I am a healer. I pondered that word and really didn’t want to receive it. I think of Christ as The Healer, I am merely a facilitator of healing by leading souls to Christ for their healing. However, the thought occurred to me to add it to my Christ-like qualities to develop and see what happened.Just merely putting the words “I Am The Healer” on my vision board to repeat every day opened my spiritual eyes to new understanding of how I am that in my own life and in the lives of others! This exercise since January, 2019 has now enabled me to accept that I am:The WordThe Living WaterThe SurgeonThe HealerThe WayThe LightThe Good Physicianand now this morning – The RockOf course, there is only one who is all these things – our Savior Jesus Christ. I have covenanted with Him to take upon myself His name. These are all his names. Just as I took upon myself the name of Benson when I married my husband, I am taking upon myself these names and becoming part of His family, and acting as a daughter and sister of Christ. I act in His name in the capacity of the words I speak, in the life I give to those who are wilting, in showing the blind spots to my clients and inviting them to cut it out, in providing the means to release the pain and become whole, in sharing the inspired map to living a life of purpose, in reflecting the light of Christ, in being a solid place to lean on during change…and now I get to learn what it means to be The Rock. Each new trait I develop increases courage and confidence in who I am and in who others perceive me to be. All my traits together is the whole package of “Wylene”In the past, the whole package of “Wylene” may have represented fear, doubt, scarcity. Today, because of the perfect experiences in my past, my whole package represents something altogether different. When I am at the edge of what I know, it’s necessary to take a leap of faith to see what else I am made of. Today, on the call, I was reminded that I don’t have to do it alone. My Savior is always with me. And there are others who are taking the leap with me. I can surround myself with a support team that carries me to the next trait I need to develop and perfect for my next level of becoming.Today, I Give Myself Permission to Adopt A New TraitI trustI know I am worthyI am given all that is needed at the perfect momentI am wiling to learnI am eager to align more fully with the best meI am gaining momentum with each new trait I masterI am enoughI have faith that I am enoughClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the GrSupport the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
Nothing is more inspiring that to see courage and hope in the eyes of a new client. It takes courage to admit to yourself that you can’t do it alone. It takes even more courage to reach out to someone and ask for help.I see this as one of the most courageous things that a person can do, to trust another human being to help pull them up out of the mire and free them.In reality, Christ is the one who has done all that is necessary to free every person who will ever live on Earth. The work has already been done. The debt has already been paid. Asking is all that is required to be granted freedom. We unwittingly give our freedom away when we go through life with no ambition or vision of living in a higher way. We go to work every day, punching a time clock, feeling unfulfilled, but powerless to change our circumstances. Truly, we do have choice!Richard Lovelace wrote a poem while imprisoned in Gatehouse Prison adjoining Westminster Abbey to encourage the Clergy Act 1640 to be annulled. The first two lines of the final stanza of the poem are often quoted:…Stone walls do not a prison make,Nor iron bars a cage:Minds innocent and quiet takeThat for an hermitage. If I have freedom in my love,And in my soul am free,Angels alone, that soar above,Enjoy such liberty. Viktor Frankl is another who spoke of liberty while in a Jewish Concentration Camp in Germany:“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” ― Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for MeaningWe, in American, have the inalienable right, even the responsibility to freedom. If we look around, there are people everywhere who wish for someone else to make their choice for them. And, thankfully, there are people all around who stand for the Cause of Freedom.Find a cause, or start one. For if we stand not for the cause of freedom, we bind ourselves to the prison of doubt.Today I Give Myself Permission to Raise the Standard of FreedomI acknowledge my debts and I own my partI owe my life and my freedom to ChristI am in debt to God for every breath He freely gives meIn Jesus Christ, I am freeI claim my freedom, I receive His grace and it is enoughI borrow light from Christ and reflect it to othersI am God’s servant, He is my master.I am free to choose, and I choose obedience and eternal lifeI stand for freedom and my life reflects what I stand forI live in the land of prosperity and I claim my freedom to be prosperousClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. I just returned from a week long vacation. Other than our Daily Gratitude Call, I didn’t do much in the way of business. I played, relaxed, connected with family. All important tasks to sustain long term health and success.‘Back’ to school, means we have allowed ourselves a break. Summer vacation, a retreat from the day to day pressures of social and work life, is great! Michael, a live participant on our Gratitude Call, said he had a friend who received the sound advice to ‘date his wife’ to accomplish more. Seems counter-productive, but he took the advice. Not only did he improve his relationship with his wife, but he was taking time weekly to relax, AND he got more done in 40 hours than he had been able to accomplish in 80 hours previously.Coming back after a rest, there is anticipation and excitement for the vision of what can be! The problem is that our vision becomes hampered by the choices of others, and our feelings of inadequacy as we step into the classroom of learning foreign concepts. These situations that arise in ‘real life’ might be compared to bullies we encounter at school. A limiting belief is just as much a bully, as a person who takes your lunch money or trips you in the hall.I am grateful for the forced social interaction and structure that school provided for me as an introverted, socially awkward kid. Structure is what got me through each day. I held onto what I could control. I did my part and left the outcome up to the teacher. It was preparation for life. There are things we can control, and things we cannot control. Daily GPS is a tool to give us the structure we can hold onto, the divine tutoring that is so crucial in our daily development, while helping us suspend the bullies, or expel them altogether. We do our part, and the outcome is up to the Master Teacher.Today, I Give Myself Permission to Expel My BulliesI am enoughI am well and healthyI continue asking for and taking action on my assignmentsI control my commitmentI envision a positive result, and it invariably happens even better than I imagineI believe in myselfI trust the Master’s guidanceI always have enoughGod knows my needsI am an awesome student!I am grateful for the predictable structure of learning and growthI see evidence that I am greater than my circumstancesI have access to all the informationClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. We humans have been blessed with the capacity to feel extreme pain, fear, anger and other low vibration emotions. Some even live in a kind of darkness for years and still survive! We also have the capacity for extreme light. We feel the highs of Joy, Gratitude, Love and all the other high vibration emotions, in equal intensity to the lows.I shared with a client who had experienced a sustained period of disappointment in her business a month or so ago, to visualize the lows as a trampoline bounce. The deeper the bounce, the higher her ability to soar upward.Christ descended below us all, and therefore, is worthy to ascend to infinite glory. In our lives, we constantly experience fear as we consider stepping outside of our comfort zones. That fear of anticipation is quickly replaced with faith and calm as we courageously leap outside the bounds of our comfort zone into the ready arms of God who has been waiting patiently to catch us when we leap. When we give up the fears of the flesh and give all to God, we experience the emotions that exist within God’s realm. Only light, joy and purpose live where God is. All other emotions exist in the belief of our limitation that is only true within our minds. The design of life is to experience the highs and lows, pleasure and pain, health and sickness, good and evil. It was so in the Garden of Eden as Adam and Eve were faced with the choice to live in ignorant bliss or to partake of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and know opposition. And it is true for us today. Opposition brings growth and the wisdom of experience.Within our comfort zones is safety and predictability. Outside of our comfort zones is freedom to feel uncertainty and new adventure. Rather than to believe it’s more than you can handle, believe that it’s more than you can imagine. Human capacity can handle anything. Human imagination is the spiritual creation of what is to come. If you can imagine it, you can handle it.Today, I Give Myself Permission to Leap Beyond My Self-Imposed LimitsThe reality is better than I can imagineI choose freedomI am ready to experience the full range of human capacityI am enoughI leap into God’s waiting armsI am comfortable in God’s realm where creation happensI let go of my human limitations and give all to GodI have limitless capacity for joy, gratitude and loveI welcome the deeper bounce that produces the momentum to soar!Click Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. To have a 15 minute conversation with Wylene Benson about a new perspective on an area of your life you desire to change, contact her directly at this link: askwylene.comSupport the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
I am so grateful for a serendipitous connection with several people yesterday. Events transpired that brought everyone into the same 10′ x 10′ room at the same time! The result was nothing short of life-altering!If these friends had not been generous with their time, talents and purpose, we would have never had the experience.Felicia, one of our live callers, reminded us of uplifting music that stirs and enlarges the soul. How grateful I am for YouTube and other media channels where this inspiring medium can be shared freely and generously to create instant connection. I am so grateful for those who are gifted in creating and performing heart-warming music. We can all be richly blessed by the generosity of friends (known or anonymous) if we let rich blessings in. Mary commented on our call that if our hearts are open to receive, we will be filled with abundance through generous friends.God is generous. He is generous with His gifts and He is generous with His attention to me, even if I am not particularly conscious of Him. We all have the Light of Christ and, as Martha on our call mentioned, God is within each of us! There is a place within us that is our God Center. That is where generosity and all good aspects of our being come from. If I radiate the light and energy of God from that space when friends approach me, they literally can feel all fear disappear in the presence of God.Today, I Give Myself Permission to Open My Heart to Give AND ReceiveI radiate God’s loveI seek for opportunities to share God’s loveI have all I need and enough to shareMy presence is feltI am enoughI have enough to shareI am blessed with the generosity of othersI am exuding light and loveI am free to beI am generous with myselfI am inviting serendipitous experiences into my lifeI am creating a beautiful network of supportI am rejoicing in the angels surrounding meI am seeing and focusing on the abundance generosity within my reachI am bringing lost sheep to Christ through generously living my purpose(Thanks to Mary and Tyrie for sharing your new beliefs to create the list above)Click Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. To have a 15 minute conversation with Wylene Benson about a new perspective on an area of your life you desire to change, contact her directly at this link: askwylene.comSupport the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
I had a dream last night that I was teaching a class to about 10 individuals. These all were people who I have personal experience with. They are all part of my trusted network of support. The subject I was teaching was “You Are Enough”This morning during our silent meditation, that dream came back to me and I had the distinct impression that if there was one principle we were taught in our pre-earth experience to do our best to remember, it was to know that we are enough, we are loved, we are worthy. How do I know this? I know because “I am not enough” is the root of all limiting beliefs. If the author of all darkness and evil can get us to believe that, he has separated us from our network of support. It is the one hope that ties us to God and our first family. We have a divine network of support in our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, our ancestors and even spirits who are awaiting their time to be born on earth. And this one belief: “I am enough” depends on our being able to confidently connect with that network. On earth, we have a network of support in family and friends. Even strangers can be part of our support network as illustrated by Coleen, on our call today as she helped a little girl in the pool learn how to float on her back in the water. Our spouses, communicating compassionately are a key component in our network of support. Family and friends can lift us when we feel down. Everyone needs someone to go to at those times. The Lord is always there for us. But He knows that a physical person to offer a hug or a kind word can confirm our tentative and tender new beliefs that we are loved and worth another person’s time. Early summer is such a fun time of noticing the results of the hard work we put forth in spring. We have some tiny green tomatoes on our plants and hard little red berries on our blackberry bush. Not time to pick and eat, or course, but evidence that we will soon be able to enjoy the juicy ripe fruit! Our vision board goals are the juicy ripe fruit. We get to choose the evidence we want to show up in our lives by the seeds we plant (the goals we set). But unless we are willing to plant the seeds of vision, water them with daily inspired shortcuts, weed out negativity with our permission process, we will never experience the ripe sweetness of actually having the physical manifestation of our goals.Wisdom is the result of knowledge gained through experience. The evidence that comes from transformation can be viewed as either positive or negative. We choose our perception of aging, falling in love, going through a crisis. Sometimes the evidence comes in the form of others noticing the changes in us. One of our live callers today mentioned that as she has been with friends that past month or so, everyone asks: “What have you been doing differently? You look amazing!”She perhaps didn’t notice the small, seemingly insignificant changes. But now she is seeing that she is on the other side of change. And the evidence is in the comments she hears from others.Faith in action creates evidence. A desired end result manifests because a chain of aligned choices produces the inevitable outcome. What evidence do you want to create? Ask God for the courage to begin and then watch as the perfect pieces present themselves in the form of angels and partners.Today, I Give Myself Permission to See Evidence of SuccessI am enoughGod is enoughI am ready to becomeI am ready to receiveIt is enoughIt is the next step, and that is enoughI am changedI continue to changeI have all the right tools to changeClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. To have a 15 minute conversation with Wylene Benson about a new perspective on an area of your life you desire to change, contact her directly at this link: askwylene.comSupport the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
When I think of healing my body, it is a team effort. Think about it, there is often a doctor or holistic practitioner. There are herbal or medicinal comforts for balancing the body. My beliefs and attitude have a lot to do with how quickly I heal. God is a major part of our healing process as well.Yesterday, I walked through my home and took a moment to feel gratitude and love in every room and even in my front and back yards. There were memories and the energetic presence of people I love that added to my experience. When I came to one daughter’s bedroom, I found it difficult to stay in that energy of gratitude and love because the room itself looked like the clothing fairy had dumped her load from the night’s shenanigans right all over my daughter’s room.I had to actually close my eyes and envision the room being somewhat organized to be able to step easily back into that feeling of love and gratitude. This morning on our call, I realized that our environment plays a huge part in our healing. So even our habits and the habits of others are part of the team effort in our ability to be whole. When we invite others in to support us in our healing, it’s important to be conscious and discerning of who we invite in. And when others share their advice or insights, again, our intuition can guide us to know if that person is sharing from a neutral space based in love, or if they have an agenda based in fear.We all get to choose what we receive and what we reflect back to the other person. We can know simply by asking the question: “Is this mine?” In other words, is this valid information that truly will empower and uplift me? Or is it the other person’s stuff and they are just not in a place yet to be able to deal with it themselves? One of the most important catalysts to healing is recognizing the need to be healed. As mentioned, sometimes we see the problem in others before we see it in ourselves. It’s up to us to be mature enough to re-evaluate and see if we are healed, or if we need more support from our team. And also, as we are re-evaluating, we can know that when we are healed, we can let go of the crutch of needing to be supported, and instead, become the support that others need, always in patience and love.Today, I Give Myself Permission to Be WholeI am at peace now, and I welcome all new blessingsI have enough and I am enoughI have all the support required for my perfect healing processI love me and my choices reflect that loveI am fulfilling my vision of ‘enough’I am wholeI am perfect with who I am so farI love my body and it’s ability to healClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. To have a 15 minute conversation with Wylene Benson about a new perspective on an area of your life you desire to change, contact her directly at this link:askwylene.comSupport the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
I am so grateful that I don’t always get my way. If I had gotten my way about 15 years ago, I would be the CEO of a notable multi-million dollar company. I may never have had a heart attack because i would have been financially set and I would have had influence within that company. The two biggest contributing factors to my heart attach were feeling like I didn’t have a purpose or influence and financial stress (for the full story, get my book: “The Seven Gateways – Your Map to Integrity in Life and Business). Instead, what I got was influence around the world through our Daily Gratitude Call and with my books and sharing inspired guidance to help people connect with God in Daily GPS.Almost never, come to think of it, do I get my way. Nor does the vision ever play out the way I see it in the beginning. I think the early vision is just something exciting that gets me off my butt and inspires me to action. The scene changes with every choice and every inspired shortcut.Yesterday, I looked at my vision board and it was meaningless to me. I feel that a volume of my life is coming to a close and a sequel is about to be written. So with a blank canvas, I am doing something I have never done before. I am turning my life completely over to God. I have said that before, but if I am gut-level honest, what that meant, was I am taking God as my partner. I am really still in control, just asking God for confirmation. There is a difference. This time, it is not me with God. It is just God. I get to be blind for this next section of my life. I am willing, ready and prepared to be shaped into the highest version of me, to perform with purpose in a way that I have never considered.Interesting, as I take myself out of the picture, you would think that I would feel like nothing. But the opposite is true. As I take myself out of the equation, I feel the peace of wholeness settling within.I don’t even know what it really looks like to give it all to God, because I have never really done it before. I am completely at peace. I know from experience that I can trust Him. The only thing I have to be concerned with is remembering to be led and to keep my blindfold on. I get to discipline myself to be a disciple.Today, I Give Myself Permission to Be LedI am enoughI have enoughI am happy and fulfilledI am wholeI am completeI am so much more than I seeI am willing to discover the better version of life as it unfolds before my eyesClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook GroupTo have a 15 minute conversation with Wylene Benson about a new perspective on an area of your life you desire to change, contact her directly at this link: Contact WyleneSupport the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
Awesome call this morning! I awoke this morning with the sense that I was not giving my whole heart and soul to the mission and purpose I have been so committed to fulfilling. After my Daily GPS, the feeling that I came away with was one of surrender. The kind o surrender that brings peace after the battle.Surrender at the close of a war, can bring some fear if the surrendering army doesn’t know the intentions of the prevailing opponent. Same when we choose to surrender in life. If we can’t trust the one we are surrendering to, there is fear. However, we can easily surrender to something or someone we can trust implicitly. The only thing that is truly ours is our choice. If we give our power of choice to another person or to an entity whose sole purpose is to control, we are bound. If we keep our power of choice, and use it to trust God, we are free! It’s so interesting that I thought I had laid it all on the alter. I thought I was willing to trust and be obedient. But this morning I realized I was still holding back. I have more to give! Now, instead of fighting against God, I will be fighting FOR Him!I Give Myself Permission to be FREE!I am bold in proclaiming my messageI embrace freedom by choosing to be obedient to God’s guidanceI claim my free space!God guides meI know the next step and that is all that mattersI submit to loving guidance from a trusted Father in HeavenI trust GodGod is enoughI know my purpose and missionI trust my message will be received by those hearts that are readyI enjoy my freedomClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook GroupTo learn more about working more closely with Wylene Benson, contact her directly at this link: Contact WyleneSupport the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
In this podcast, you will learn how to hypnotize yourself easily and effectively using my 5-step process. I will guide you through these 5 steps so that you can use self-hypnosis to reprogram your subconscious mind. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, so even when you are being hypnotized by a hypnotherapist, it is actually you that is doing the hypnosis. This may seem hard to believe, especially if you have seen hypnosis on stage or on TV. I’ll explain how this works shortly.Learning how to hypnotize yourself is a wonderful skill to learn. It allows you to change unconscious habits, banish limiting beliefs and release or resolve troublesome emotions. It feels great too!Keep listening and you’ll discover how to hypnotize yourself so that you can make lasting changes to your life right now.Resources Mentioned in this podcast Suspend Belief StatementI consciously, deliberately and willingly suspend my existing beliefs about (desired outcome). Instead, I accept these new ideas as if they are completely true right now. My desire and belief are completely aligned just for now and that feels good. The 5 Positive Core BeliefsI am good enoughI am worthy enoughThe world is a safe place for meI am powerful and can influence my worldLove & Relationships = PleasureOther Videos MentionedHow to Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind For Successhttps://youtu.be/34xqNugh1l010 Steps to Transform Your Creative Visualization Skills https://youtu.be/vXy_KEEwtuw
This morning, I had the gift of having someone misunderstand me and not give me the opportunity to give a rebuttal. I really appreciated the time to calm down and get into a happy place again before starting our gratitude call. When there is a misunderstanding, choose compassion. I got to feel what it is like when someone doesn’t give you the benefit of the doubt. And I don’t like how it feels!I cannot control another person’s willingness to understand, but I can control my own ability to be patient and understand. I may have a gift of discernment, intuition and feeling another’s emotions (empathic). I can never know exactly what is going on inside an individual unless they share openly and honestly. I can always give the opportunity to share so we can get on the same page. I can control my ability to ask and listen. I also can control my ability to listen and understand my self. When I know that I am enough, I don’t have to take anything from anyone else, because I am whole and complete. When I see others as enough, I don’t have to fix them. I can allow them to have their issues and their emotions separate from me. When I see God as enough, I trust that He has me and He has everyone else in his hand.If we can do that, we can all keep our own stuff: me, God and others. I don’t have to play savior and I don’t have to take on the crisis that belongs to someone else.We all have a portion of Christ’s light within us. So we all feel compassion. But even Christ did not take on the pains and suffering of others during His ministry. He only did that as a single act that was pre-determined specifically for Him. He was not diminished by serving others. And neither should we be.New Ideas to Consider:I seek to understandI understand meI know my motivesI allow others their time to processI am compassionate I am grateful for the light of Christ that allows me to feel for everyone in the human familyI honor my space and I honor the space of othersI trust God, He is enoughI trust others are able, with God, to handle their own stuffI trust that I with God, can handle my own stuffFor more info on the Gratitude Call and joining live, go to “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook GroupTo learn more about working more closely with Wylene Benson, contact her directly at this link: Contact WyleneSupport the show (https://wylenebenson.com)
Find your voice - Episode 1 - Blind, Drunk a Lions tale by Kev DillonKev Dillon is a man of the people, who refuses to be average. Suffering with meningitis Kev suffered with blindness and his whole world was rocked upside down. His dream of being a boxer was shattered and he turned to a dark place in his life.Determined to never let this get to him however, Kev fought back, in true boxing style and jabbed and hooked his way to where he is today. He is a head boxing coach of Lions Boxing Club ABC in Brierly Hill, UK but more importantly than that he is all round genuinely lovable guy.Alongside this he is a father, a husband, a son and a friend and who would have thought a POET!Kev blindness has taught him more than many of us can imagine, forced to understand his limitations he refused to let them control him or stop him achieving his true desire, to help others. His mindset is unbreakable having been at rock bottom and the most beautiful thing about this story is, his journey is just beginning. He has a vision of a better future where people, no longer doubt themselves, hurt each other and see the beauty in the world.Kev's outro states:"Take care of yourselves and more importantly of each other. May your god bless you and if you don't believe in god, believe in yourself because someone who doesn't believe in anything, will always be lost" - Kev DillonThanks for listeningFree Audible book sign up: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Audible-Memb...Best book on Mindset by Carol Dweck: Mindset https://amzn.to/2QajMvZSupport the podcast: https://www.patreon.com/findyourvoice & check out our new sponsor: https://www.healthxcel.co.ukLinks to me:Website: https://www.arendeu.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/aren.deu/Twitter: https://twitter.com/arendeuFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/aren.singhLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/aren-deu-...Podcast: https://www.findyourvoicepodcast.comYouTube: http://tiny.cc/51lx6yLinks to guest:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kevlionsdillon/Boxing Club: Lions Boxing Club - Bull Street, Brierly Hill, DY3 3RA#JustDeuIt & #FindYourVoiceYouTube Transcripts:[Music]welcome to an episode of find your voicea movement led by yours trulyAren do a guy who has overcomecrippling anxiety adversity anddifficulty like so many of you in lifewhose main goal now is to help youcombat your excuses take control of yourlife write your own story and mostimportantly find your voice so nowwithout further ado I welcome the hostof the show himself mr. really stick to this butdeep down inside me it's always been apassion to sort of help people now thisis a strictly passion project and it'sliterally about just helping peoplebecause one thing I've realized in mylife is that everyone has a story totell and only when we find that courageand find our voice in order to tell thatstory are we able to have an impact on awider level and I suppose since I'vebeen sharing my story recently withother people and I'm very very gratefulfor some really nice comments frompeople I thought what in a secondthere's a lot more to tell but moreimportantly there's some absolutelyamazing people out there who I reckon Ican get in touch with and then hopefullyit can help you guys as listeners soI've got a whole range of guests on thispodcast which I'm really excited toshare with you bear with me because Ihave recorded some prior to this episodeand with each podcast episode as youknow with anything in life you alwaysget a little bit better so if there areone or two episodes and you're thinkinghold on a second he sounds a little bitnervous here it's probably because I ambecause my first one or two probablyweren't as natural as are supposed theyare now so it's all a learning curve I'menjoying it I mean so absolutelyfantastic people some who already knewsome who are brand new and happened toreach out or happen to reach out to themso anywaythat's pretty much enough of me for nowI'm gonna introduce my first guest nowI'm not joking he was probably the firstperson I've thought of having on thisone of the reasons was this individualhad a big impact on my life duringprobably the two happiest years of mylife if we don't count my marriagebecause that is obviously the best partof my lifeI know a lot and I just had a great timebeing around this individual I spent alot of time with himand it wasn't just so much the wholecoaching aspect from a physicalperspective but it was more about thementor lessons that I was getting themindset lessons I think that sounds alittle bit better and you know I grew alot as a person and we just becamereally really really good friends and Ithink it's been like what seven eightyears now and you know we're always intouch he's a fantastic person he's notjust got a great heart he comes from agreat family he's family a fantastic Iknow his family but he's someone who'shad ease levels of adversity in life andhe's not been doubt the best cards and Ithink some of us sit there and we alwaysthink the grass is greener on the otherside or we have it the worst but let meassure you that's not always the caseand Kev someone who may not have had thegreatest card out to him in life but Iassure you he's certainly playing to thebest of his ability so he's not only awonderful father and a loving husbandhe's also a son and more importantlyhe's one of my very very best friends inthe whole wide world and I'm very proudto have him on this especially as myfirst and I'd love to get him back onbecause I know he was dealing with a flubut bless him he managed to still comeso without further ado let's get thisfirst episode I find your voice on theway okay so I'm sitting here opposite avery good friend of mine kept Dylan whoI've explained a little bit about in theintroduction so I think it's importantnow firstly I just want to say thank youkeVwell coming on the show it's a pleasureso I appreciate you being here but Ithink it's more important that thelisteners get to understand you so oneof the things I always like to start theshow with is tell us about yourself fromthe moment you can remember to where youare now in life I'm 35 years oldI'm married to a beautiful woman calledKateDylan my father to a beautiful girlcalled Jasmine on the head coach for theboxing club in the Black Country calledthe Lions my life hasn't always beeneasywhile tragically lost my audience in 87through viral meningitis back then 32years ago flora meningitis was a bigthing where poor buggers were going inlosing limbs and I lost my eyesight mymom had been taking me in to the doctorsfor weeks and I said if glandular feverof the flu till one day I went to a comaand I well I was completely blind and itcomes a little bit come back in my righteye and it was tough as you can imaginebut life is tough and life gives youoptions you either carry on or you don'tand I think they are the two options oflifeyou carry on or you don't but a greaterGod I had very strong parents lookingbrother and grandparents and they helpedme to do what I could and that has beenmy attitude for life you do what you canhave the best ability did you can do Iwent to a promise called Church ofascension which is in war life and hadto leave there because I had bad eyes inreception when I went to Bromley Hillswhere me and another young lad JohnFrank coming the first blind kids to gothereso I have to travel out the district togo there we're at some fond memories funmembers who I met locked on friends Ihad empowering Shona Quinton helixeducation I'd say let me Darren becauseI had to have a support teacher itwasn't fun being a young lad as well asbeing pointed out you were different andI think that's what education can do badfor people instead of embracing ourdifferences sometimes would forced standout I was a young kid that's the worstthing you can do all you want to dois to be normal oh do you get you thinkwhat is normal and we go out of our wayto not be normal to be specialbut as a child and all you want to do isfit in it's excruciatinghowever I've got through school by hookand by crook aside roams poetry becausewhen I was a young lad I found it veryhard to express what I was feeling aboutblindness and about being different ormade two books except me by giving DylanPope in a vision I went to college domedia studies and then I was lostthrough depression and different formsof coping that psycho pin selfmedication of coping I've lost and wentoff the rails my dad said to me at theage of 17 when I bet you come and coachand because boxing was one of the onlythings I was ever good at see noseblowing got iron at reactions and I'mstrong and he got me coaching I passedmy level one at 18 level two at 19 andthat's been my push through lifeteaching others to do something that Iwasn't able to do wasn't allowed to doanother camp coach and I think that'sbeen one of my purposes in life to helppeople so I can talk to these young boysand girls men and women have beenexperiences I can talk to them aboutreal pain because I've felt pain butlife isn't always a bad pain anyone whosays life isn't tough has it livedenough but anyone who says life isn'tbeautiful and rewarding also as I livedin office yes yes it is tough but bygaudí it's wonderful as beautiful ifrewarding but here we look at itourselvesand seeing these young people of watchto grow up into men it's been greatmy greatest rewards haven't been the ABAchampions and the people who've gone toboxer England is being there for theForgotten well they've been forgottenbut maybe I ever been to them it's saidof pheromone the scrap people build theminto something good hopefully they feelvery proud of because I know I'm veryproud of them absolutely there's acouple of things that I mean um I'veknown Ken for a long time and we spokerecently about how long about you knowNita days it's quite it's quitesurprising but there's some stuff therethat I mean I didn't even know and Isuppose some of it is probably like theelephant in the room so just touching onyou men in joints and stuff you knowwe're very good friends I've neverreally discussed that with yourselfmaybe that's just me not being confidentbut did you findI mean you touched on it a little bitthere but the whole you know beingnormal but what is normal I suppose insociety and all this because obviouslyI've got foster siblings and they've gotADHD autism all that sort of stuff sothey're considered special I suppose butgrowing up with your condition did youever feel sorry for yourself or did youfeel different especially committing tothe cult in aspect where I mean I'vebeen in quite a few boxing gym before Ireally found home here at the lines andgym where obviously everyone'sable-bodied should we call it ininverted commas as a coach with so Ionly threw one I had to how did thatmake it you feeling sorry for yourselfwe all do it they'd have a big footballteam or it's okay to feel sorry foryourself but you shouldn't dwell on itand that's something I had to learn Isay to a lot of people in life you havetwo optionsyou carry on forwards or you don'tand my only option was going forwardsbut occupy falling down but crawlingthere by climbing up but in any meansnecessary toforward a lot of his difficult but it'sdifficult to everybody in anybodyit's like someone said to me fearthere's a rational fear and it's anirrational fearI'm Aladdin little King swim fin onFriday hippopotamuses there's a veryrare chance that he'll optimus he'sgonna come and get meas a young African living on a riverbankthat's a rational fear an irrationalfear Allah spidersin King's room for the Money spiderisn't gonna get me a lad in Australia itmight a rational fear my fears onfighting or embarrassment yes no I'lltake her back embarrassment is a bigfear my fears aren't through fighting orstanding up or telling my story so I'veovercome knows my fears are because I'mblind in my left eye I haven't got depthperception so like going down stairs orwhen I go out at night I'm not sure whatto shadow or is the lamppost or it's astep or said that is a rational fear soI'm not sure what can hurt me however itwon't deter me from doing so fantasticI'd be just to touch on that last bit Imean you said there's two choices youeither move or you don't and I think Ialways try and say this to peoplebecause I don't want people to havesomething bad happen in their lives forthem to really wake up and so moveforward in their lives or take a wholelittle bit I suppose and start writingtheir own story you've kind of maybedrew force initially had to do thatbecause you were left with the cardsthat you were dealt and you have tosolve move forward with thatI say kudos to you because your mindsetis something that I I've read more booksthan I care to remember and I'm alwaystrying to work on mindset because Ibelieve if you can conquer your mind youcan pretty much conquer anything and wesee that in the boxing gym through thegreat boxes and everyone I'm sure youcan probably elaborate on that and Ithink mindset is crucial one of thereasons I really wanted you on mypodcast and you were always going to bemy first episode is because your mindsetis to me at leastit's you know it's made of steel is it'svery it's somebody who could sit thereand feel sorry for themselves there'ssomebody you could always look at thenegative side but man you've been abetter fresher and I've said this beforebut the two years I spent with youpersonally when we were training but Ithink I've seen you more than one missusat the time we're two of the best yearsof my life and in that particular time Ijust want to put this out there to thelisteners is when you really focus onachieving goals and I really really wantto be become a great boxer and be be agreat boxer there's a lot of talk behindand it's sometimes it's from yourfriends your family the closest peopleto you and sometimes it's not alwaysuplifting talk and I think being aroundyou in your presence not just for yourcoaching skills which are fantasticwhich helped me develop so much but as aperson as I sort of as a coach and amentor you were always able to instillthat positive influence in me you'dalways say the right words at the righttime the encouragement and I just Idon't know I'm not sure if there's ananswer to this but what how do you dothat I suppose because I'm here and I'mtrying to do that and I'm obviouslyeducating myself and I'm reading overthe books and I'm following all thegreat lines but you kind of just I meanI'm not sure deep do you read books likehow I read and woody is it somethinginstilled from maybe your dad or justbeing around for people because we areso bad I am terrible at reading terriblyreading and after I'm a very large fontsor tried audiobooks all I'm a man wholoves music from 2pac to try to China toBob Dylan I can listen to any type ofmusic all day but an audiobook I switchoff from so my greatest form ofknowledge is by self experienceexperiencing myself that way I realizedif I like it down like it if frightensme or excited to me I also love talkingto people picking their brains aboutreligion and a better experience andabout what they did and travel isanother beautiful gift don't only livein your district and travel and ithasn't gonna be to Thailand he could beto go to Wales or going towhere every day's potat yourself out ofa comfort zone so if you're only evergoing on autopilot you're only going toat one placeyou've got to be willing to get losteven if it's only in the moment couldyou never know where it's gonna take youand that's the greatest form ofEducation I think life can give you andthat's probably one of the greatestforms of Education Isaac's just heardnow in the last year because everythingyou just said then I'm sure my listenersbecause I know a lot of people who areeager to listen to this episode we'reall habit readers and we listen toaudiobooks oh it's almost become a hobbyof ours and a lot of that the bestaudiobooks they would have the sameinformation or the same Isis fault oursupposed success leaves clues so there'salways the same kind of stuff in thereeverything you just said there and thisis why I find you fascinating is becauseyou normally this but you haven't readthe books it's just something thatyou've developed and this is kind of thepremise of this podcast is to findpeople like yourselves people who arereachable people who you can after thispodcast you can reach out to Kevin youknow it gives you the time of the dayyou can come see him at the lines Jimand I spend time with you these arepeople that we should be around andstaff experience of talking to people Ithink I think it's overlooked we're in asociety now where everyone's stuck totheir mobile phone I say that as I'mholding it up right nowand you know that's that's not the wayhumanity should be it should be aboutexperiencing new things as becoming newpeople and understanding so that's afantastic point mate and I'm alwaysthere's a very few people I come acrossin life who had that sort of emotionalintelligence that you've just displayedthere without having gone through whatI'm currently doing I reading all thebooks that I can possibly do so kudosmate and I do want to just move thisover a little bit because I'm just keenbecause because of the person you areand the impact you've had on my life Idon't know you've had many otherpeople's lives I just want to touch onyour daily routine so I'm a very bigbeliever that we are the resource of thethoughts that we think and our dailyhabits so if you could just give thelisteners a little bit about the momentcapital is alongfrom the morning to the moment yourestaurant no mate my alarm is a littlething called Jasmine Dillon she'snormally White's milk okay then I we getup we could add stairs we have breakfastwe watch some people I'm tellingnormally peppa pig is not I hate bluecoherently i watch penny about myselfand then we go up we have out wash theywould come down then I'll take it toschool they're not normally come up hereto the Lions if but if I have got timeand I'm not in the class then I'll goand pick her up if not many doors wouldnot stay Opia working with peopletalking to people because I'm up hereevery night and then I'm a boxing choiceit's very rare that I get to put mylittle girl to bed off from the weekendso in the day time for me I'vedaddy-daughter time and that's thatsacred to me but when I'm up here youcome in and you become a differentperson and don't think of me it's beenthis almighty confident person becauseconfidence is of the code do you justcome and put on it's a lifetime ofworking at it it's about people only seethe finished results that don't see theprogress they don't see ArnoldSchwarzenegger Jesus Christ he's a bigfella he wasn't born that way it's everylittle dumbbell every little exerciseeverthat's from him to our league to RobertDe Niro to Katie Price don't see thefinish resolved and that's on thepositive scowl exactly that's also haveseen that that drunk will not draw me onthe street you see the finished resultinstead of thinking what happened on hisjourney or her tunic to make them heresorry I went off to that's why that'swhy I think this great lesson is whatyou just said there I'll just I'll justwhining at Danny time less doesn't meanso the next question I'm thinking you'vekind of explained a little bit and wecan obviously jump back into it but Iwant you to think back in your time justone particularly event careif you could and I just want to say forthe listeners Kemp has no idea whatwe're gonna ask him so he hasn't askedfor the questions he's explained hedoesn't lie reading so this iscompletely straight from his heart butyou've been through a lot of adversityin your life as many of - deserve I wantto think of a time where you've justfaced something they really shit day orreally shit time or something Bad'shappened and I want you to if you couldtry and explain to the listeners how youovercome it what kind of practices youtake of one lessons you've taken fromthat you've touched on it previouslylike you've always got the the mind setup we either go forward or back but arethere any sort of key things that youeither tell yourself or you do actionlike work out or we'll be around certainpeople that you do to really try and getyou out of that situation of adversitynever ever be frightened of asking forthe help but when I go to a pub orsomewhere and I don't know where thetoilets are and for me it's embarrassingthere's a lot of people in then I don'tknow don't go it's over there okaywhich way to over there so but you willyou'll find your way I remember when Iused to go nightclubbing 18 17 18 19 andI remember going somewhere and I lost myfriends and it was pitch black thestrobes are going music so I've lost allmy senses are con here or I could seeshadows bumpy and who didn't get angrytalkin front of toilets I rememberwalking over to a wall and following thewall to try and get out and the bouncersthere give me a sword and a whale youcan add the club but starting a fight soI've got from' name because that was theonly way that I could see I've get himout of that situation but the way I'vedealt with things I see one of my goodfriends Nick Davis who's ahypnotherapist and through NLP he'shelped me to get through stuff inhypnosisI did a chemistry course myself yearsago and I didn't like came to me inbottom four metres a minute wrongwasn't for me but NLP and hypnosissuited me changing patterns in the brainand figuring out what is the trigger forsadness what is the trigger for beingangry or searching for and that helpedme but I always say to the lads of theclub your place will twenty pound orthirty pound for a dietitian or you'llpay someone for shredder condition earlybut we won't go and pay someone tofigure out why we're feeling sad and Ithink if we haven't got a a good mindthen nothing else will fall into placeit's something that I probably alreadylearned last year my mindset and Ikicked myself because in hindsight Imean you haven't gotta really be herebut when I was boxing with you I thoughtI had some good physical capabilitiesfor example you know it was okay quitestrong and I was able to lean down quitewell not to blow my own trumpet but thething that really let me down was mymindset you know on the pads and when wewere training got Phyllis Phares anyoneI was doing everything was easy rightbut you stick me in that ring man and itwas like it was like I was holding 20 kgdumbbells and I was or sometimes I wasgetting out of box by people who I wasthinking and that's not no disrespect tothese individuals he was just what - itwasn't right and it it's only now and Isometimes think I wish I could just turnback time a little bit because the way Ifeel now I'm just having that sense ofconfidence about myself I'd reckon I'dbe able to transform why didn't with youand all the lessons you told me whichI'm very grateful for in the ring and ihave had much better success basically Isuppose you work with that on your boxesas well in terms of the mind says wellwell mind is so important and it's thepeople we have around usyou can have someone up here five days aweek and that they're brilliant dreamboxes but then their dad or their uncleor someone puts their nerves on to thatperson not a creative personand it creates an anchor an auditoryanchor answer that's a funny old boogerand sometimes you can feel so good inyourself and that's not just food boxthat's on the pool it's I like her wellshe's too good-looking for you oh you'reright yeah oh I'm gonna get this job Ithink I'm like a Gregory Clare well youcan't lift that much no you this is avery hard thing not too late to get intoyour world all the people's doubts ifyou can try your best to stay strongwith yourself you'll have more successthan any other booger absolutely that'sall powerful nothing I've only startedrealizing that myself now my last sixmonths have changed so much just frombelieving in myself and not to make thisabout me but even this podcast which isit's me coming up become physical youknow me you know we're very good friendsbut on outside of the way I started thegym sorry I'm an anxious wreck what Iused to be and you just touched on a fewthings in terms of like anchors orpeople saying and saying things and Iand I suppose it creates this thingcalled limiting beliefs so I remembersomebody once said to me I mayunderstand your accent and I supposethat's probably why it's taken me 12months to release a podcast because Iwas so scared of putting my voice outthere and thinking who really wants tolisten to this sirbromine black country accent but then Ithought there's people out there thatactually do and then over time thosepeople resonate with my message alwaysbecoming more confident in myself and Ireally know somebody's one opinionbasically outweigh their opinion of somany other people but it's a funny thingisn't it because I suppose it dependswhere that opinion comes from so if itis say for instance your father or youruncle or somebody you hold your highesteem it can take a toll on you sodefinitely I think it's a it's a it's avery good point in terms of be consciousof the people you're around and if youdo happen to have that point ofaround you I'll show ya you made yeahleft okay because even if it is she diedwith you if someone is standing in theway of your goal or their person youwant around you if it's someone who'sgonna say you're gonna hurt yourself andlet they're pointing out as I said ifthere's someone who's pointed out thefear to you the danger then maybe we'vegot the best interest this up to you tofigure out if the painting of is worthit but someone who to put in obstaclesin there well how about if you felt haveit there is nothing at all wrong withour yeah it's just find out another waythat you shouldn't do it saluteabsolutely and I think that's what we'vebecome wrong because we're like an XFactor mr. Graham generation and it's Iwant to be a singer yeahthat doesn't mean you've got to godouble triple platinum don't why whatyou want to do but sit by the success ofit if it makes you happy don't send inyour local Boozer and you're working onschool just because you may never make aliving of eating who cares if it if youare happy to do it absolutely does thatis the reward of your action I'm justfinding happiness in but the silliestthings really finding gratitude andfulfillment I'm not having to go throughshit in life not needing to losesomebody in my family or you knowsomething bad happening it's you knowtheir worlds are beautiful placesbeautiful people out there and it'sabout just finding your passion so mypassion is to always happen is whypeople so yeah I'm going to be the bestpodcaster in the world but hopefullythis message will have all with a coupleof people and they can change theirlives you can then go on and inspire andchange other people's life so fantasticpoint mate I'm going to move it over andI'm gonna asking you another anotherquestion game think about it what isyour biggest fearand you're not allowed to say I'mcheating here you know I'd like to sayanything we listen to Justin okaymy biggest fear at 35 is different tohow I felt fear of 30 were 25 or when Iwas at school if you fast without when Iwas at school it had been asking a girleven have been read in acting class ithad been all these things but it shouldgrow now at 35 and it's as I say mysimple fears there's a big things to mebut nothing to you mmm-hmm I said goingto the toilet went on in in a in a pubmm-hmm an unfamiliar pub or going out atnight when I've got a walk down the roadanother so sad there not to shadow willto step I remember working with her NickDavis journalist subjects only slowlyagain and we did a seminar up here wehave to stoneboxers to super 88 boxes and we all satin a circle and he said to if we wentwhat five things have will frighten offand people went dying in my loved onedying getting hurt public speaking andall these things and then Nick said tome said embarrassment I missing what youmainly because you're all boxes doing itwould rather go into that ring and havethe snot knocked out of them for tworounds than to have to do a bit ofpublic speak you know go and ask thatgirl out too and everyone went in fromput the razor pointy you'd rather putyourself in physical danger than to dosomething that you might feel like aplonker live woman yeah and he said if Icould take you off now to Brazil and youcould fight a lot of super every way tome not your bed would you care whenNoakes it's not the physical thing it'sgood then why cuz cuz I don't know thatdon't caremy mom to see me so it's the fear ofmaking something a little punk wereletting people down and that that fearis the funniest book Raval isn't itwhere there's no feel physical bad cancome from it but the emotional it'salmost like a fear of rape you know it'sI think you've just hit the nail on thehead and I'm and I'm nodding herebecause you mention the physical dangerthing and I remember I was sitting in amastermind and I was letting the emotionthat you just touched on there almostconsumed me as if I was in like thewhole world of trouble yeah if you askme the same question would I ratherstand in a ring it be oh boy you're a bea champion mate I'll do that any day atleast I would have a few months ago andit's amazing that there's there's peopleout there I used to be one of thesepeople who would put myself throughphysical pain just in rod then insteadof looking like a plonker shariq say asa cowboy reference just for a fewseconds and like you said I can't hateyou unless you let it hear you unlessyou let those emotions consume you and Isuppose it's it's about understandingwhen something happens it's not whatactually what happens it's the meaningwe touch a touch to it so if if forinstance you get rejected by a girl ifyou touch and meaning to that such asI'm ugly I'm not worth it I'm not goodenough then obviously you're gonna feelabsolutely crap and you're gonna havesome negative impacts but if you justsay okay fair enoughI had a 50/50 chance there let's goagain hopefully the next one's betterand I think that's something I'mconsciously trying to do much better butI know I speak with a lot of people it'sit becomes crippling because then you'reyou're just hiding hiding in the shadowsand watching the world go by not doingthe things that you need to be doing andI really want people to hear what youjust said then you know stop it and playit back because that's really importantmessages there and also just if you'refollowing my journey however small issee that I'm coming out of my comfortzone as well and I'm trying to do thisyes I'm doing it one for myself becauseit makes me happy but two I'm doing itto let you guysthat if you're shy if you're anxious andyou all those that you've had in yourhead I guarantee 100% I've had it myselfbut I'm here you know I'm sitting hereput myself out there but myself arethere on social media every day becauseyou know we've got one life andtomorrow's I promisesilly as that science-based trip onethink I learned we we all think we'reindividuals will think we are the onlyperson who's ever felt this and yeahit's a load of nonsense gang we all wantto be low fuel get friedgonna have a laugh and anyone who saysdifferent is trying to sell yousomething you're not alone with all thismore you can talk to people about iteasier becomes a promise yeah Iunderstand agree mate and you're notalone we are gonna come to a fun part ofthe show now guys but just before thatjust wanna quickly yeah so I know yourmindset I know you know how motivatedyou are and especially towards thecommunity here you know you're trainingkids and all those women guys you knowpeople of all ages religious backgroundscoaches everything on a day where let'sjust say for instance you wake up inyour in a bit of a funk so anyone whotells you they're super motivated Iwonder percent of the time I thinkthey're lying I've yet to find anyonedoing that so on that day of the weeksay for instance when everything's fineyou know the day before nothing's gonewrong you haven't a damn accident oranything but you just build up a bitshit bit sloppy in that day what keepsyou going on that day as I said there'stwo options you do what you don't thefear of not doing it projector catapultsme into doing it fantastic okay so thenyou've heard it that's the buzzer goingoff and now we're at the fun part ofthis show so what I'm gonna do now isput Kevin through his paces I'm gonnaask him questions for 60 seconds andit's up to keV to see how many he cananswer so keV you ready yes okay buddylet's get the timer ready I'm gonna goin three two oneokay the ability to fly or be invisibleinvisible money or fame fame Netflix ourYouTube YouTube Corner Brook Brook Cokeor Pepsi would you rather not how youwould die or when you were dyingwait Ali or Tyson are like fury or AJ AJsummer or winter your favorite place inthe whole wide worldon the catch would be to girls speakfour languages must be able to speak toanimals or languages if you couldabolish one thing in the world whatwould it bethat's a cruelty skipping or running -burp running the best boxer ever are layor legs lose your favorite song everfastclaw Tracy Chapman and finalquestion would you rather read minds orpredict the future read mind fantasticokay so that was a quick fire right justa little bit of light fun there so youreally think AJ can be fury yeah reallyyeah I'm on the fence there I'm I'm moreof a fury fan but yeah let's not makethis a boxing podcast we can do thatsome other day okay so sadly we arecoming towards the end of the show nowso we've only got two more things that Ireally wanted to try and get from you inthis interview the next one's gonna beon reflection so high so it's awonderful thing and upon reflection wecan always think of ways where we canget to where we are quicker or do thingseasier or perhaps with less money orstress but I guess the journey teachersare so light as well I'm a firm believerthat everything happens for a reason sowhat I want to know is if you could goback in time to one moment where youreally struggled and suffered withadversity kind of like us I suppose whenyou when you're 17 and your dad got youto come to this gym and knowing what youknow now what would you tell your 17year old self that would help them ontheir journeydon't settle being averagenormals are variety and I'll be okay inthe morning so just keep tryingabsolutely I'll be all right in themorning fantastic okay so sadly we areactually at the end of the show now andI just want to gain taste more but justa quick thank keV because I'm sureyou'll agree has been a fantastic guestI promised you it would be good andhopefully I've delivered on that but thefinal question I always like to ask myguess is if in a hundred fifty yearstime we're all deadand science hasn't managed to keep usall in life and there's a book and allthe book has is the title which says keVDylan and on the back there's a blurb asummary and that explains a little bitabout what your life was and who keptDylan was what would that blow say aboutyou first of all want the book to saykeV Dylan blind drunk Alliance - -anything I ever want to be rememberedfor his it was a good bloke who helpedpeople when he could and if I can dothat if I can leave that as my legacya good man who helped when he could Ithink I left a good one absolutely andyour story's still being written nightbut my experience with you is you're anamazing person I'm proud to have you asa friend I genuinely mean that you'vealways improved my life you've alwaysbeen somebody who of how closed closedin my life I mean equal gone oncewithout us talking but it's always likewe just seen each other yesterday whenwe pick up and I think it's important tosurround yourself with people like yourkeV Dylan's in the world because Ibelieve there's any of us out there andsome of us may need to just find ourvoice and kind of come out of our shellsbut if you find a kept Dylan certainlyhold on to him now Ken's not tooinvolved in social media but I knowthere's a lion's Instagram page whichI'm following and I know there's aFacebook page but if there's a one waythat people can contact you keVbecause I really want people to kind ofreach out to maybe 100% recommend peopleof all shapes and sizes and ages to comedown to this gym it's a family communityit's run by a family it would like Isaid it was the best two years of mylife that I can remember being here I'dcertainly recommend it you're you're notonly fitting well enjoy it but you lookgood in the process as well no Icertainly get you through your paces butif there's one place where people couldreach out to you care what would thatone place be Eva as it's only scrapKevin Lyons Dillon okay or at the clubwhich is located Braulio Know and accept that you’re enough. Our guest for this week is Marisa Peer, a best-selling author, motivational speaker, a leading celebrity therapist and a pioneering hypnotherapist trainer.Marisa began her journey studying to become a child psychologist but has later built on her career by earning further qualifications at the institute from the Hypnosis Training Institute of Los Angeles and the Pritikin Longevity Centre. She possesses a deep insight into the world of nutrition as well and was introduced to it through her own personal struggles. Marisa herself had been battling with an eating disorder throughout the first 20 years of her life. Her title of a best-selling author came to be as a result of 4 remarkably successful books, on various subjects. From teaching you improve your life by reprogramming your brain, Marisa will help you establish healthier relationships with the food you eat, build and fortify your self-esteem and self-confidence, and even increase your fertility! The subject of her last book titled You Can Be Younger was a revolutionary approach to the age-old question of how to stay young. She elaborates on how positive thinking can lead to the arrest of the aging process, all made possible by the power of your subconscious mind.Marisa is also the UK’s leading motivational speaker, and over the years, her lectures and talks have become available all over the internet. She has held two Ted Talks, one on the topic of the gaining connection and avoiding rejection, and the other focusing on how training your mind can help you go beyond your perceived and constructed limits. Her YouTube channel also has a ton of free useful mini-courses you can explore and try out.Marisa’s renowned for her therapy work, with an astonishing list of clients that include many of the world’s finest international superstars, CEOs, Olympic athletes and even royalty! Aside from sharing her wonderful anecdotes, spot on analogies and profound wisdom, she will be giving us precious insight into her innovative process called Rapid Transformational Therapy, or RTT.A Case of a Modern Day Celebrity in Distress“I don’t do what other therapists do.” - Marisa PeerMany of Marisa’s clients are very popular celebrities and she was very kind to share details of a specific case involving an actor in time of mental crisis. He has refused to go to work, expressing symptoms and behavior Marisa immediately recognizes and shines a new light on the problems presented.“If I was a doctor giving you a diagnosis, here’s my diagnosis - you just don’t think you’re good enough do you?” - Marisa PeerThe first part of her process involves detective-like work, where she intends to quickly determine the root of the problem, usually dating to the period of early childhood. The second part is metaphorically compared to dentistry, as she is determined to pull out and remove all of the negativity clouding over her client. Her fast-paced approach to therapy has given her client the much needed mental clarity, a fresh definition of his problems and most importantly, a direct way of dealing with them. The self-conditioning and positive self-talk seek to imprint the mind with a simple, precise and a positive message - “I am enough”.At the end of the segment, she also reflects on a particular case in which her patient had a severe problem with alcohol. The main distinction Marisa made right off the bat was between the presenting and the underlying problem. While conventional therapy may suggest dealing with alcoholism as the key strategy, Marisa shifts focus to the underlying problem - the fact that her client has been perceiving himself as “unlovable”.“You can put someone like that in AA, you can detox them, but you’re detoxing the problem, and not what lies beneath.” - Marisa PeerThe Main Causes of Mental Health ProblemsWe are constantly hearing about many different mental health issues and disorders that we should be guarding ourselves against, but Marisa breaks them down into three basic concepts:I’m not enoughI’m differentWhat I want is not availableWe’ve gone through the first problem to some detail in the first part of our conversation, and some of his variations (eg. “I’m not lovable enough” or “I’m not wealthy enough”).The second issue is a matter of failing to fit in. Not being able to connect and avoid rejection, which are the fundamental needs we all need to fulfill in our everyday lives. The fear of being rejected often plays out as a self-fulfilling prophecy, leaving the person with a rationalization that they can not connect because they are different. The feeling that people troubled with this type of problem are left with is what is commonly referred to as depression. The last issue is the problem of not being able to have or acquire something that is desired. But in its core, wanting something that is not available, is a problem of having negative, destructive, unconscious beliefs that ultimately determine your life and prove to be self-fulfilling.“You make your beliefs, and then your beliefs make you.” - Marisa PeerThe Effects That Positive and Negative Self-talk Have on Your Mental Health“There’s nothing that will grow your self-esteem like praise, and nothing will diminish it like your own criticism.” - Marisa PeerThe self-dialogue is an essential tool that ultimately leads to change. Whether you decide to speak to yourself in a positive, optimistic way, or in a negative, pessimistic and at times fatalistic manner, your mind will react and adapt accordingly. Everyday conversations with ourselves leave a pattern in our subconscious, that inevitably affect the way we think and feel. These patterns are primarily imprinted in early childhood, and they determine our future character, personality and, ultimately, our behavior. The fear of rejection plays an enormous part in this process.“We don’t die from rejection but it still feels like we will.” - Marisa PeerMarisa demonstrates the power of self-dialogue and its effect on our mind through two very clever thought experiments. The Lemon Test, in which the listener is guided to visualize eating a lemon, which is inevitably followed by an increase in salivation.“Your mind doesn’t care if what you tell it is right or wrong, good or bad, healthy or unhealthy. It just lets it in.” - Marisa PeerThe other experiment explores the direct link between negative self-talk and our physical strength. When we say bad things to ourselves and think destructive thoughts we become weak. But it also works in the opposite direction. The better our thoughts are, the stronger we will feel.“Negative thoughts physically weaken your body.” - Marisa PeerWhat is RRT and How Does It Work? The main inspiration that has lead Marisa to develop Rapid Transformational Therapy came from a discrepancy between the fact that we live in a fast-track world, and that conventional therapy takes too long. RTT aims to determine the fundamental, underlying problem quickly, and resolve it within one or two therapy sessions. Using practical techniques based on hypnotherapy and self-dialogue, Marisa empowers her clients and gives them a practical way of rewiring their software and dealing with their issues. Finally, Marisa emphasizes the importance of recognizing when you’re in trouble, polluted by fears that can cause all sorts of rationalizations. It is crucial to find strength at that moment, be mindful and talk yourself out of it.“You’re allowed to make a mistake, you’re not allowed to beat yourself up and make yourself sick. Because you’re a human!” - Marisa PeerConnect with Marisa:Twitter: https://twitter.com/marisapeer?lang=enFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/marisa.peer.therapy/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/marisapeertherapy/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/user/MarisaPeer1Website:https://www.marisapeer.com/ See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

As a Core Energy Leadership Coach I’m often asked “What is the number one roadblock for your clients and how do they get over it?” The answer: Gremlin energy! Gremlin energy is your inner critic, that little voice in your head that tells you: YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH! The Gremlin has many variations but common themes sound something like this: I’m not smart enoughI’m not pretty enoughI’m not cool enoughI’m not worthy What makes gremlin energy so powerful is that you get block and can fail to take action on things that can lead to greater success. Gremlin energy is especially powerful because they are the most intimate and personal of the beliefs we have about our self and others. Join me January 24, 2016 at 8pm / 7pm CT when my guest and fellow Energy Leadership Coach Tracey MacDonald discuss Gremlin Energy: What it is and how to tame it!
