He started off in a role where he was doing client development, having spent four and a half years with the Allegis Group. He soon became the fixer. This guy would go to different offices and effectively turn them around. He started in London, then went to Singapore, and then he spent six years in Germany where he walked into a team of 12 recruiters and six years later left with over 180 staff, with one of the highest performing teams in FRG globally. He went through two events with the business where he realised some wealth and he finished up at the start of this year to take some time out before starting his next opportunity. Computing First-Passage Times with the Functional Renormalisation Group by Gerasimos Rigopoulos et al. on Monday 21 November We use Functional Renormalisation Group (FRG) techniques to analyse the behaviour of a spectator field, $sigma$, during inflation that obeys an overdamped Langevin equation. We briefly review how a derivative expansion of the FRG can be used to obtain Effective Equations of Motion (EEOM) for the one- and two-point function and derive the EEOM for the three-point function. We show how to compute quantities like the amplitude of the power spectrum and the spectral tilt from the FRG. We do this explicitly for a potential with multiple barriers and show that in general many different potentials will give identical predictions for the spectral tilt suggesting that observations are agnostic to localised features in the potential. Finally we use the EEOM to compute first-passage time (FPT) quantities for the spectator field. The EEOM for the one- and two-point function are enough to accurately predict the average time taken $leftlangle mathcal{N}rightrangle$ to travel between two field values with a barrier in between and the variation in that time $delta mathcal{N}^2$. It can also accurately resolve the full PDF for time taken $rho (mathcal{N})$, predicting the correct exponential tail. This suggests that an extension of this analysis to the inflaton can correctly capture the exponential tail that is expected in models producing Primordial Black Holes. arXiv: http://arxiv.org/abs/http://arxiv.org/abs/2211.09649v1

Beginning in 1955, West Germany recruited millions of people as guest workers from Yugoslavia, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, and especially Turkey. This labor force was essential to creating the postwar German economic miracle. Employers fantasized that foreign "guest workers" would provide labor power in their prime productive years without having to pay for their education, pensions, or medical care. They especially hoped that the workers would leave behind their spouses and children and not encumber the German state or society with the cost of caring for them. As Lauren Stokes argues in Fear of the Family: Guest Workers and Family Migration in the Federal Republic of Germany (Oxford UP, 2022), the Federal Republic of Germany turned fear of this foreign family into the basis of policymaking, while at the same time implementing policies that inflicted fear in foreign families. Workers did not always prove willing to live their work lives in the FRG and their family lives elsewhere. They consistently challenged the state's assumption that "family" and "labor" could be cleanly divided, defied restrictive and discriminatory policies, staged political protests, and took their deportation orders to court. In 1973, the federal court legally recognized the constitutional right to family reunification, but almost immediately after the decision, the migration bureaucracy sought to limit that right in practice. Officials derided family migrants as a group of burdensome dependents seeking to defraud the welfare state and demonized them as a dangerous source of foreign values on German soil. We continuously strive to eradicate Military Sexual Trauma. This ongoing fight though daunting, is necessary, and we will continue to fight on until sexual assaults are no more!!* If you have been a victim of Sexual Assault and need someone to talk to. we hope you consider reaching out to Dr. Poe and or myself for advocacy support and at a minimum a listening ear. Dr. Diandra Poe has been a noteworthy leader in the war against Sexual Assault and Harassment.  Dr. Poe is a servant leader championing the causes of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment prevention and education.  Her extensive background consists of counseling, psychoeducation and psychotherapy. Serving her country first as a spouse and leader in the Family Readiness Group area, Dr. Poe loved her country and the men and women she served while assisting her in the FRG. At the behest of her military mentor, she joined the ROTC program at Bowie State University to continue her service. A survivor herself, Dr. Poe has taken her story to leaders and future generations.  She is the voice of the Glass Soldier podcast. She has been a featured guest on Never Alone, HUSH No More, Vet w/ a mic and on local radio stations here in D.C., Baltimore, Virginia area. She founded Glass Soldier in 2020, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating Sexual Assault and Harassment from the military force.  Her efforts are designed to enhance their core values of accountability, collaboration, and transparency.  She takes the Glass Soldier's mission to key decision makers for implementable change.  Glass Soldier's initial work was the development of a new reporting mechanism, centered around technology to combine social innovation for a real solution. Since inception it has taken on other initiatives for Veterans and our global society. The Dr. Diandra Poe Impact Center, opened on 18 December 2021 to provide a space for further research, resources for servicemembers and other local nonprofit organizations to collaborate. When she is not advocating for servicemembers, she is a strong advocate and therapist for at-risk and confirmed survivors of Human Trafficking with a faith-based nonprofit in Baltimore, Maryland. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Bowie State University, a master's degree in Social Work from University of Texas in Arlington, and a Doctor of Social Work from The University of Southern California.  If you have been a victim of Sexual Assault please know that you do not need to suffer with the after effects alone.Consider sharing your story with  us.Email:   podcast@thecarybrand.com.
