George Russell Congratulations to Lewis (Hamilton). He drove a really impressive race today after being incredibly quick in Qualifying yesterday. Coming into the weekend, I don't think we expected that pace from Ferrari, so we know we've got a challenge coming from them in the races ahead. We will be working hard to tackle that challenge and get back to winning ways. On my side, the race today was not straightforward. I was struggling with the tyres towards the end of my second and third stints; the Virtual Safety Car didn't help us either and it would have been a fascinating race with Lewis without that. I will take the positives from this weekend though. It has been clean from the very start and I come away with 18 points, which is 18 points more than I managed across Canada and Monaco! We will regroup in the week ahead and look to improve for Austria. We've got a big double-header coming up with Spielberg and Silverstone and I am already excited for it. Kimi Antonelli It is very disappointing to retire from P2, but these things can happen in racing. George suffered an issue in Canada and now it's happened to me; we know our reliability is something we need to work on and I am sure the team will be pushing incredibly hard to improve that. It's more important points that we've lost but we must remember that it is the first year of these new regulations and we are all learning quickly. Congratulations to Lewis (Hamilton) on his victory today. He is a great driver and has been so much help in my career so far. I am pleased to see him up there once again as he really deserves it. I think we had the pace today to challenge him for the win, but the Virtual Safety Car came out at a bad time for us, and we didn't get to see how things would have played out. We have one week without racing before returning in Austria. We have seen our competitors take a step forward here this weekend and we will need to raise our game there if we want to fight for victory again. We will pick ourselves up, learn from this weekend, and come back stronger. MAX VERSTAPPEN - 4th "Today we just didn't have the pace to keep up with the cars ahead. I was really just doing my own race as we were a little bit behind the guys that finished in front of me. As a Team we did everything right, it was the winning strategy, so we made the right call there with the tyres. We were just too slow compared to the cars ahead on each compound, unfortunately. We tried our best and put everything into it but ultimately the whole weekend was a bit tough for us. We do struggle more with these high energy tracks with high degradation and we just need to work on things and try to find more pace in the upcoming races." ISACK HADJAR - 6th "I felt like I had good pace this weekend once we got to Qualifying and the race, but I had a shocker at the race start with so much wheelspin, so that's one aspect I really want to focus on before Red Bull Ring. We could have fought with Oscar if we had a good start, so it's a bit of a shame. I think we did way better than we thought we would this weekend given the track layout and conditions. Austria will be a better track for us, and we expect to have a stronger car. We just need to work on the starts." TOYOTA TAKE ITS SIXTH VICTORY AT LE MANS Toyota executed a perfect, textbook strategy throughout the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans to claim its first victory since 2022, securing a sixth overall triumph and equalling the tally of British marque Bentley. To spectacular fanfare, Japanese powerhouse Toyota Racing lifted the iconic trophy at a sun-kissed Circuit de la Sarthe for the first time in four years, in front of hundreds of thousands of spectators at the venue and millions more watching around the world. Drivers Kamui Kobayashi, Nyck de Vries and Mike Conway emerged as the team to beat at the end of the race, guiding the #7 Toyota to victory ahead of the sister #8 Toyota Racing entry, the #20 BMW M Team WRT and the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA machine in an epic four-way battle to the chequered flag – underlining the "Platinum Era" status that the Hypercar category is building. For Kobayashi, it was a second Le Mans victory. It marked a second triumph for British star Mike Conway and, for the first time in 38 years, a historic win for the Netherlands as Nyck de Vries became the latest Dutch driver to conquer Le Mans. It looked set to be another Toyota one-two, but BMW's never-say-die attitude ensured that the FIA World Endurance Championship points leaders – the #20 crew of Robin Frijns, René Rast and Sheldon van der Linde – claimed second overall and a valuable haul of championship points. Toyota could still be delighted with third place, although a few costly mistakes and strategy calls denied the #8 Toyota of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa another victory. Meanwhile, Cadillac can take plenty of plaudits once again. A crowd favourite throughout the week, the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA crew gave everything in pursuit of victory, and the pace they demonstrated at Le Mans suggests they will remain contenders for years to come. Inter Europol Competiton lock-out LMP2 It was a grandstand finish in LMP2 as Inter Europol Competition worked well overnight to bring both cars into the rostrum contention, but a second day charge from Forestier Racing by Panis had everyone on the edge of their seats, but after 24 hours of racing the Polish #43 ORECA with pilots Jakub Smiechowski, Tom Dillmann and Nicholas Yelloly win the penultimate race at Le Mans for this specification LMP2 car! Corvette charge back to the top! Corvette capture the magic of Le Mans once again with iconic yellow #33 Corvette run by TF Sport took LMGT3 laurels with Ben Keating, Jonny Edgar, Nicky Catsburg taking a popular leap onto the top step of the podium. Akkodis ASP Team put Lexus on the podium for the first time at Le Mans with the #78 car second and the #23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin joins in the celebrations in third. After powerful worship, preaching, and altar moments, the question becomes simple: how do we walk this out tomorrow? Mike Conway preached from Colossians 3 and gave students a practical word for coming down the mountain and returning home with clarity. Victory is not sustained by hype, human effort, or trying harder. It is sustained by a clear vision of Christ, seated at the right hand of God, and the truth that we have already been raised with Him. “There's victory with clear vision,” Mike said. He also reminded students, “The miracle is already yours.” This message calls us to set our hearts and minds on things above. Our old desires, false beliefs, destructive patterns, and earthly attachments no longer have the final word. The old life is dead, and our lives are now hidden with Christ in God. When old thoughts, temptations, anger, lies, and desires try to rise again, we do not have to believe them or return to them. We can see them for what they are and put them to death. Mike reminded students that freedom is not merely changed behavior. It is a transformed mind, a renewed heart, and a restored identity. God is making us image bearers again, people who reflect the Creator through love, patience, forgiveness, truth, and obedience. The application is simple: keep your eyes on the throne room. Set your heart on Christ. Set your mind on what is above. Put off the old self, put on the new self, and walk out the victory Jesus has already won.
Presentatie: Robert Denneman

“This is not a sunset—this is a sunrise.” In this powerful message from Mike Conway, we are invited into a deeper revelation of what it means to live unveiled—free from religious striving, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and transformed by the glory of God. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 3:7–18, Mike calls us to stop clinging to performance-based religion and instead surrender to the radiant love and presence of God. The law engraved on stone brought condemnation, but the ministry of the Spirit brings freedom and lasting transformation. What God is doing in you may look messy—but that's exactly where His glory shows up. “God doesn't want your effort—He wants your face.” “Hope glows in the dark.” “God's glory rests on the biggest mess.” Using the contrast between a veiled and unveiled life, this message challenges you to let go of fear, control, and performance and step into the childlike dependence that invites God's presence. You don't have to figure it all out—just reflect His light.

This past weekend the World Endurance Championship headed to Austin, Texas for Lone Star Le Mans at the Circuit of the Americas. And across an epic 6 Hours, the AF Corse #83 Ferrari of Yifei Yi, Robert Kubica and Robert Shwartzman held off the #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing team of Kamui Kobayashi, Nick De Vries and Mike Conway to win by just 1.7 seconds, marking Ferrari's first win in WEC outside of Le Mans since returning to full-time competition, and the sixth different winner in WEC in 2024. Kevin Turner sits down on this edition of the Autosport Podcast with Gary Watkins to break down how it was the Yellow Ferrari that came out on top, the controversial crash caused by Sebastien Buemi that led to penalty points on his license, and the state of the midfield in WEC with Fuji less than a fortnight away. There's also a full review of the LMGT3 class as the Heart of Racing Aston Martin team continued their excellent track record on home soil. Learn more about your ad choices. Listen as Mike Conway shares at TCSC's Spiritual Emphasis 2024. Our theme this year was "Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done."
Welcome to the Lovecars On The Grid motorsport podcast with Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman! This week, we have lots of action to report on, from Formula 1 in Azerbaijan, to WEC in Europe, Indylights and NASCAR in America, then to Australasia for Supercars, Superbikes back in the UK, plus Women's F1 in Austria! Sergio Perez won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix ahead of his team mate, Max Verstappen. We had the first Sprint Race in the season too. Red Bull brought the Formula 1 World Champion in just before a safety car was brought out. Who was your driver of the weekend? Let us know in the comments! In Formula 2, we congratulate 19 year old British Driver, Oliver Bearman, who took the win in Baku. The World Endurance Championship had a fantastic race at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. The win went to Mike Conway, Jose Maria Lopez and Kamui Kobayashi, who continue the unbeaten season for Toyota so far in 2023, with 1-2 finish. There were two nasty crashes in the Sprint Race at MotoGP in Jerez, Spain. Francesco Bagnaia took yet another win on his Ducati, followed by South African rider, Brad Binder and Australian rider, Jack Miller on their KTM bikes. Over on the other side of the World, we had Indycar at a beautiful track in Alabama, where ex-Formula 1 driver, Romain Grosjean took pole position, but was just beaten to 1st place by Scott McLaughlin. NASCAR was sadly rained off this weekend, but is instead taking place today! The Aussie Supercars were racing in Wanneroo. With the Camaros taking 1st and 2nd place in all three races. British Superbikes are back at Oulton Park, and are still racing this bank holiday, too! Next week, we have Formula 1 in Miami, Formula E in Monte Carlo, plus Superbikes in Barcelona, Formula 1 academy in Valencia, NASCAR in Kansas Speedway. In the UK, we have BTCC at Brands Hatch and British GT at Silverstone.
Welcome to episode 19 of the Lovecars on the Grid podcast! Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman return with another roundup of motorsport events from the past week. Unfortunately, our audio isn't quite as good as last week, as Tiff joins us on his mobile phone. Apologies for any inconvenience to our listeners! This week we have F1, W Series, British GT, Touring Cars and NASCAR! Kicking off in Miami with Formula 1! The event was very well hyped, with even a fake marina and boats on show! Red Bull driver, Max Verstappen performed a trademark, bold move on the first corner, and took the race win. Mercedes had a disappointing race, finishing in 5th and 6th with lots of porpoising going on. The W Series was supporting the F1 in Miami. It was a perfect win for Jamie Chadwick, with 2 wins this weekend. Last year's Winner, Alice Powell ended up stalling on the grid and finishing in 6th place. The World Endurance Championship was at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. It was typically Spa weather, with lots of rain. The #7 Toyota was victorious, driven by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez, beating Alpine in 2nd place. The World Touring Cars started their season with a reverse grid at the Circuit de Pau Ville. The win went to Argentine driver, Nestor Girolami. British GT was taking place at Silverstone, with a win for Barwell Motorsport in their Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO. NASCAR was at the famous old oval, Darlington. We had a very controversial ending, with some questionable driving for Winner Joey Logano, who drove into William Byron and put the leader into the wall. This weekend, we have Indycar at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. IMSA are at the mid-Ohio course. Moto GP is back at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit in France. Formula E has a double header in Berlin and then in Britain we have the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch!

Nearly a year into our Global Motorsport Podcast, Paul Woodman and Tiff Needell are back, with episode 34! We crowned 3 new champions this weekend, but we kick off with Formula 1 in Mexico. Unfortunately, it was quite an uneventful race, but Max Verstappen drove brilliantly and won the race, with Lewis Hamilton's Championship hopes are sadly dying away! Sergio Perez had the Mexican crowd behind him, finishing 3rd on the podium. The first corner seemed to hold the most action, with McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo managing to cause a five car collision and Mercedes boss, Toto Wolff calling for action against the driver. We have Brazil to look forward to at Interlagos, as well as Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the finale in Abu Dhabi The World Sportscar Championship came to an end this weekend too, with a back-to-back Championship win for Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lope in the #8 Toyota after a 2nd place at Bahrain. In NASCAR, it was a win for #5 with Kyle Larson at Phoenix Raceway, holding off the other four contenders in Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott. Larson's pit crew managed a pit stop in 11.8 seconds, which isn't great by Formula 1 standards, but very quick for NASCAR! Moto GP was at Portimao in Portugal. A win for Francesco Bagnaia on his Ducati, and it looks like Remi Gardner will take the championship in Moto 2, with a win on his Red Bul KTM Ajo. Moto 3 was won by Pedro Acosta on his KTM. Next week, we have one more title to be taken, with Moto GP at Valencia. We have the Brazilian Grand Prix, with Red Bull hot favourites with Max Verstappen! Who will win? Paul is also at the Race of Remembrance with Team Paddlup in a Caterham 270 race car! Fingers crossed for dry weather Paul!
Welcome to episode 33 of the Lovecars On The Grid Podcast! Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman are back for another week of roundups with the latest motorsport updates! We've been encouraging you all to watch NASCAR for weeks, but after an initially dull and boring race, the last round before the Grand Finale went right down the wire in the last 50 laps! Kyle Larson was caught speeding twice, but Alex Bowman took the win with a controversial clash with Denny Hamlin after the race! Hamlin managed to lock up all four wheels and ended up in front of Bowman! Hamlin still managed to get through to the final 4. Over in Bahrain we had the WEC. Jose Maria Lopez, Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi took a 50 second lead in the #7 Toyota for their 3rd consecutive win, giving the trio a 15 point lead ahead of the championship final coming up this weekend. In the GTE class, there was controversy as Ferrari were deducted 25HP by the FIA, giving the race to the Porsche's in the same race. Paul is taking part in his own endurance race, in the Race Of Remembrance at Anglesey Circuit in his Caterham Academy car on 13-14th November! This weekend was also the Formula Ford 50th Festival at Brands Hatch, with a win for B-M Racing's Jamie Sharp, and previous winners such as Jan Magnussen and Dennis Lind also driving. Tiff was actually at the first Festival all those years ago, and finished 7th! There was also the Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally, with the British Rally Championship, with a win for Osian Pryce in the VW Polo. He now leads the Championship as they go into their final round at the Modern Tyres Ulster Rally next weekend. We also have the Mexican Grand Prix coming up! The Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton battle continues with the S bends and track limits at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Will the Mexican crowd get behind Sergio Perez? WEC will be back in Bahrain, whilst the NASCAR finale is taking place in Phoenix. Moto GP is the Algarve Grand Prix, taking place in Portimao.
