Tonight, we have an opportunity to bring a piece of Le Mans to you, sharing in the Legend of Le Mans with guests from different eras of over 100 years of racing.  In 2007 Adrián Fernández made his debut at Le Mans taking home a second place in a V8 powered LMP2 prototype. This was the first podium for a Mexican driver at the Circuit de la Sarthe since the 1960s.  Three years later in 2010, Adrián found himself back at Le Mans this time behind the wheel of Aston Martin's LMP1 finishing fifth in class (6th overall).  Returning for the 80th running of Le Mans in 2012, Adrián and Aston Martin took home a third place finish in the GTE-Pro class covering 332 laps without failures or serious mechanical problems. With his help, the team achieved the fastest lap in their class at 3:54.928. And Adrián had the distinct honor of driving the Aston to the checkered flag. On September 12, 2012, Adrián announced his retirement from racing, thus concluding his relationship with Aston Martin Racing, but that wasn't the end of this involvement in the world of Motorsports. ===== (Oo---x---oO) ===== 00:00 Adrian Fernandez's Le Mans Journey 01:56 Early Racing Career and Challenges 03:20 Transition to Endurance Racing 07:54 First Le Mans Experience 10:50 Challenges and Triumphs at Le Mans 13:13 The Art of Endurance Racing 21:45 Aston Martin and Later Years 24:49 Transition to GT Racing 25:58 Final Race and Reflections 29:03 Advice for Aspiring Drivers 34:37 Changes in Motorsport: Safety Innovations 38:32 Historic Cars and Modern Racing 40:55 Life After Racing 45:35 Closing Thoughts and Farewell ==================== The Motoring Podcast Network : Years of racing, wrenching and Motorsports experience brings together a top notch collection of knowledge, stories and information. #everyonehasastory #gtmbreakfix - motoringpodcast.net More Information: https://www.motoringpodcast.net/ Become a VIP at: https://www.patreon.com/gtmotorsports Online Magazine: https://www.gtmotorsports.org/ To learn more about or to become a member of the ACO USA, look no further than www.lemans.org, Click on English in the upper right corner and then click on the ACO members tab for Club Offers. ¡vamos a divertirnos! Mucho.

'Why fit a Formula 1-inspired Judd V10 engine into a Toyota A90 Supra' is probably not a common question we are all struggling with regarding our own personal projects. Still, we love that people like Ryan Tuerck can answer it for us!Use ‘PODCAST75' for $75 off your first HPA course here: https://hpcdmy.co/hpa-tuned-inThis 4L 730hp (630hp ATW), 11,000 rpm capable Judd V10 powered 'Formula Supra' was at World Time Attack, and if you didn't see the car, you certainly heard it on song from all corners during its exhibition laps with Ryan Tuerck at the wheel. But how did the build come about, and what makes it tick? Before falling into Ryan's hands (while fistfuls of cash fell out of them in exchange), the Judd GV4 V10 itself was a spare for an old Benetton Formula 1 car (an everyday use case) and thanks to Ryan's solid relationship with Toyota, it found itself not at home in an A90 Toyota Supra chassis sporting a MoTeC electronics package and tuning from John Reed Racing including the venerable M150 ECU and PDM30 which help put the power to the ground through aa Hollinger RD6 sequential gearbox. Interestingly, a Ford Explorer 8.8 rear differential was chosen for its range of ratio options and lightweight compared to the usual Winter Quick Change rear end thanks to fabrication pro Dominic Biro.A lightweight Tilton Engineering 4 plate carbon clutch helps combat a thrust bearing design that doesn't suit drifting (LMP1 endurance cars only use their clutch to get the vehicle moving), with other help from Judd coming in the form of detailed manuals that cover the life expectancy of every party on the engine down to the exhaust manifold for ultimate reliability in an engine that was ultimately built to be hammered on for 24hours straight.

Few people know more about ultra-high-performance engine building than this week's guest, Terry Radbourne of Bourne HPP. In this episode, we're going to be discussing topics like creating engines for LMP1 and Mercedes' F1 team, truly getting the absolute most out of Honda's K series motor, as well as the odd controversial opinion that's sure to get the comment section fired up.Use “BOURNEHPP100” to get $100 OFF our HPA Engine Building package:https://hpcdmy.co/enginepackagebTerry brings an intriguing mix of expertise and insider knowledge — straight out of school, he found himself working for Advanced Engine Research and quickly became involved in some seriously high-end race engine design and building work. After a few years spent honing his craft — including a stint creating engines for the Mercedes Formula 1 team, Terry went on to found his own company, Bourne High Performance Powertrains, or Bourne HPP for short.Bourne HPP specialises in designing and building seriously aggressive motors — most commonly of the Honda K-series variety in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. This allows us to dive very deep into the intricacies of four-cylinder engine building, and time is spent discussing intake port design, cylinder sleeves, compression ratio, and a whole lot more.We also get stuck into the K-series motor itself, and Terry spends time talking us through exactly why he thinks this is one of the best engines ever produced and how to get the most out of it. As Bourne HPP is something of a one-stop-shop that does everything from engine rebuilds, to NA and turbocharged crate engine packages, to dyno tuning with the use of Syvecs and Lyfe Racing ECUs, Terry has an absolute oversupply of knowledge that he's (mostly) willing to share. If you want to get smarter, this episode with Terry Radbourne of Bourne HPP is not to be missed. As mentioned in the podcast, you can listen to our episode featuring Syvec's Ryan Griffiths here: https://hpcdmy.co/SyvecsFollow Bourne HPP here:IG: @bourne_hppFB: Bourne HPPWWW: bournehpp.comDon't forget, you can use “BOURNEHPP100” to get $100 OFF our HPA Engine Building package:https://hpcdmy.co/enginepackageb

Tesla Electric is expanding into the UK market to supply electricity to households with Tesla products. The plan involves storing cheap electricity and selling it back to the grid at higher prices, aiding the transition to 100% renewable energy. Luxury EV maker Lucid Group delivered fewer Air sedans than Wall Street estimates for Q2, amid concerns about demand. Despite having a backlog of reservations, Lucid only plans to produce 10,000 to 14,000 Airs in 2023. In June 2023, electric vehicles (EVs) made up a record 26.9% market share in France, up from 19.8% the previous year. The Tesla Model Y was the best-selling Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for the month. Audi's Hoonitron, an all-electric Quattro tribute, will be driven by nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen at the 2023 Festival of Speed. The car's power outperforms any of the Le Mans Prototype 1 (LMP1) cars Kristensen has raced. Ford is set to unveil a high-performance electric Mustang Mach-E at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed. A teaser suggests an off-road adventure edition, complementing Ford's ongoing work on a high-performance electric F-150 Lightning pickup. Dacia plans to reinvent its fourth-generation Sandero as an affordable electric supermini by 2027 or 2028. The company is investigating cheaper battery chemistries to maintain affordability. Fiat UK experienced a surge in inquiries about the electric Fiat 500 following the introduction of a £3000 E-Grant to encourage EV adoption. The grant was launched after the UK government withdrew similar incentives a year ago. China's New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) sales increased by 44.1% year-on-year in H1 2023, reaching nearly 3.75 million units. NEV exports also grew, with a 160% year-on-year expansion. Volkswagen (VW) is experiencing decreased demand for their electric models in Europe, with production reportedly decreasing at their Emden plant. VW produced 97,000 units from January to May but sold only 73,000. Electric car sales in Germany for Volkswagen are below targets, with some battery-electric models seeing demand drop to zero. Subsidy cuts, high inflation, and competition from other manufacturers are contributing factors. The European Parliament has approved legislation to expand EV charging and hydrogen infrastructure across the EU. By 2026, charging stations for electric cars should be available every 60 kilometers along main routes. EU member states have approved comprehensive battery market regulation, promoting a circular economy for all types of batteries. The regulation requires mandatory declarations and labels related to battery components and recycled content. A study shows a 29.5% drop in used Electric Vehicle (EV) prices following months of rising prices. Factors contributing to the price drop include Tesla's aggressive pricing cuts and a rise in supply. Amazon has introduced more than 3,000 custom electric delivery vans across the U.S., aiming to have 100,000 such vehicles on the road by 2030. Amazon plans to invest over 1 billion euros over the next five years to decarbonize and electrify its European transportation network. Several electric vehicles now support 800-volt DC fast-charging for rapid charging with lighter, thinner cables. Among the manufacturers offering this technology are Audi, Porsche, GMC, Hyundai, and Kia, while Tesla's upcoming V4 Supercharging will offer 1,000-volt capability.

Team building or team destruction? The most dangerous part of Peugeot's former factory 908 HDi FAP factory LMP1 program wasn't the driving; it was the pre-season team building events where bruises and broken bones were the norm, as Sebastien Bourdais and Simon Pagenaud share in Part 2 of our lookback on the great French endurance racing program that ran from 2007-2011. “It's OK, you're not going to die alone,” Bourdais said of one harrowing team exercise. The on-track action was also no picnic. To start, factory driver Franck Montagny, frequently mentioned as the center of Peugeot-related mayhem, hit a cat at 205mph while testing and the results weren't pleasant… They loved the original 908 model which ran through 2010: “It was just a perfect car,” Pagenaud said. The all-new car for 2011? “It was difficult,” he continued. “It was very pointy to drive. Man, the V8 diesel was a lot more vibration than the V12.” And how about another Montagny tale of ‘Days of Thunder' rental car racing on the highway to get to the airport after testing at Monza? Then there was the time Pagenaud threw up in the morning at Le Mans… And how much money did(n't) Peugeot pay Bourdais, its big national star? Take a listen to the conversation, and below, we have Part 1 with Bourdais, Anthony Davidson, and Pedro Lamy. [SPF]

How do you dyno tune an F1 car and how hard is it to replace their specialist electronics in order to keep the cars running?Originally touted as a 740bhp at 17,000 RPM 3L V10 engine, Milan of PerSysTec gives us a rundown on the 650HP, 16,000 RPM 1997 Williams FW19 car that helped earn both the constructors title plus first and second places in the driver's championship for Jacques Villeneuve and Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Discussed are how the electronics on what is now a classic F1 car can be modernized, the level of integration that involves along with some of the reasons this was required.Despite the car still being an impressive piece of kit and well ahead of the technology trend that we see filtering down to our own personal cars, unsurprisingly, there is not much on the Williams FW19 that was ever mass-produced to supply the car with spares 20+ years into the future. Combine this with the fact that computer technology from the time now has legacy status and many of the talented people who worked on tuning the original Magneti Marelli ECU have long since changed careers or retired, it's only natural a modern Cosworth ECU that is used at professional levels of motorsport today such as LMP1 and LMP2 is instead utilized. The original Williams VCM that controls the cars remaining hydraulic systems (clutch, gearbox) has been retained due to the fact parts and support are still available from the team. Interestingly, the latest version of CAN Bus was published in 1991 (CAN 2.0B) and utilized in F1 shortly after so it is surprisingly easy to integrate this into the modern Cosworth ECU right back to the 1992 FW14B. While capable of a lot more, in this application the Cosworth ECU is in some cases left in the backseat simply as a failsafe to shut down the engine if any other systems run into trouble. While all of this electronic work is essentially irreversible, it does mean that with some RPM limits and ignition cut safeties in place the car can still be driven by a professional driver at events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Hearing the V10 Renault RS9 run is certainly something we enjoy a lot more than staring at a static display piece personally.Want to learn how to EFI tune? When it comes to cars, the phrase “race on Sunday, sell on Monday” is never far behind, and there is probably nobody in the vintage, classic and competition car market who embodies it more fully than our guest this week: Gregor Fisken, of Fiskens Fine Historic Automobiles. Some of the world's greatest cars have passed over the cobbles of Gregor's premises in London's Queens Gate Place Mews, and Fiskens is universally recognised as one of the most important dealerships in the collector's car landscape. But that's not all - when he can spare a moment, Gregor is also a bona fide racing driver with multiple Le Mans appearances to his name, including time as a works driver for Courage in the LMP1 class and racing a factory-backed Larbre run Aston Martin DBR9 GT1. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to.   Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they’ve built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too.   FIRST LOOK AT THE NEW MINI COOPER EV " the Mini Cooper SE is the only EV in Mini's model lineup, delivering an EPA-rated range of 110 miles courtesy of an electric motor producing 181 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque. When the next-generation Mini Cooper arrives, it will be offered as a fully-electric hatchback, but a combustion-powered model will be sold alongside it. For the first time, our spy photographers have caught Mini testing the next-generation Cooper EV in the snow." says CarBuzz: "Development is clearly at an early stage as the prototype is heavily camouflaged and fitted with fake headlight rings, taillights, and a Cooper S-style hood air intake. Despite Mini's efforts to mask the car's identity, the prominent "electric test vehicle" sticker is an obvious giveaway. a close-up of the driver's side window reveals the prototype is fitted with a familiar-looking curved dual-screen display. This mirrors the dashboard layout of current BMW models, which may upset some Mini fans. It will be a radical departure from the current Cooper's funky cabin that's dominated by circular elements. The next-generation Mini Cooper is expected to arrive in 2023 and will it will be joined by two electric crossovers in the same year."   https://carbuzz.com/news/heres-your-first-look-at-the-new-mini-cooper-ev   JEEP WRANGLER 4XE OFFICIAL EPA RANGE "The 2021 Wrangler 4xe Plug-In Hybrid Has Been Rated By The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as capable of covering 21 miles (34 km) in zero-emissions mode." according to AutoEvolution: "That doesn’t compare favorably to Jeep’s initial estimates of a fully electric range of 25 miles (40 km). Additionally, it’s not a great number considering the Wrangler 4xe’s rather large battery pack of 17 kWh"   Erm...1.2 miles / kWh?   https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2021-jeep-wrangler-4xe-official-epa-range-is-a-bit-worse-than-stellantis-thought-157901.html   EVS ARE NEW IPHONE "Electric vehicles are the "next big product" for iPhone assembler Foxconn and are "very, very likely" to grow into a bigger business than electronics, Chairman and CEO Young Liu said." repotrs Nikkei Asia: "The Taiwanese group is weighing plans to produce electric vehicles in China and the U.S., entering a fast-growing segment of the auto market where tech players can compete with traditional automakers. Foxconn, which trades as Hon Hai Precision Industry, first revealed plans to assemble electric vehicles for automakers last October. The company has set a goal of capturing a 10% share of the global EV market between 2025 and 2027."   They say: "We think that regionalized or decentralized production will be the way to go for EVs. Automobiles are very big and difficult to ship. The shipping costs are much higher than shipping a cellphone."   So Byton will be first. Then Fisker.   https://asia.nikkei.com/Editor-s-Picks/Interview/EVs-are-new-iPhone-Foxconn-CEO-sees-next-earnings-driver   HUAWEI FILES TWO PATENTS RELATED TO ELECTRIC VEHICLES "Hhinese tech giant Huawei is planning to make electric cars under its own brand, and now a new report has claimed that the company has filed a couple of patents relating to the same." reports Ecoinomic Times: "Huawei is in talks with state-owned Changan Automobile and other automakers to use their car plants to make its electric vehicles (EVs). Huawei is also in discussions with Beijing-backed BAIC Group's BluePark New Energy Technology to manufacture its EVs. In addition, another Chinese tech company Xiaomi is also planning to build its own car and is considering it as a strategic decision, but specific details and the path it aims to take are yet to be determined."   https://auto.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/industry/huawei-files-two-patents-related-to-electric-vehicles-says-new-report/81384876   CHINESE COMPANY IS BUILDING THE NEXT GIGAFACTORY IN GERMANY "The Tesla Gigafactory in Grünheide near Berlin is not yet completely finished when another international company announced the construction of a Gigafactory on German land. The Chinese battery company Svolt Energy wants to build a gigafactory in Saarland." writes de24.news: "Not far from this actual battery production – which, according to media reports, should start as early as 2023 – assembly will then take place in Heusweiler, less than 25 kilometers away. The company announced this together with the Saarland Prime Minister Tobias Hans at a press conference. The factory is to be built on an area of 840,000 square meters and provide annual capacities of 24 gigawatt hours – enough for 300,000 to 500,000 e-cars."   https://www.de24.news/en/2021/03/chinese-company-is-building-the-next-gigafactory-in-germany-12.html   TESLA TO USE LOCAL INLAND PORT TO SHIP FROM GIGA BERLIN "there are already talks of how Tesla will ship its electric vehicles and one idea is that Tesla could give the port in Königs Wusterhausen new momentum, reports RBB. The port in Königs Wusterhausen is to handle all deliveries for Tesla from summer. To this end, the port area is to be expanded by 25,000 square meters. This is a godsend for the port and the region, because four years ago it was on the verge of collapse." says Torquenews: "The inland port has both a rail connection and a connection to the A10. Initially, ten Tesla containers will be handled here every day, later 100 per day."   https://www.torquenews.com/1/tesla-use-local-inland-port-ship-giga-berlin   PORSCHE’S FUTURE EV BATTERIES WILL BE DEVELOPED ON THE RACE TRACK Porsche CEO Oliver Blume said at VW Power Day: "The Le Mans-winning Porsche 919 provided a crucial basis for development of the all-electric Porsche Taycan. For the Taycan, we adopted the innovative 800-volt technology as well as the cooling concepts and virtual development methods, from our 919 LMP1 race car. This is all superior technology that successfully differentiates Porsche from the competition." "   But what does that mean? Because they only race in Formula E, but are leaving this year, and any the battery part of that series is spec and supllied by  athird party to every team. So they ouldn't have been talking about FE. Where ELSE are Audi racing? Are they going back to LeMans or maybe Formula 1?   The Drive reached out to Porsche to ask where this left its Formula E entry, to which a spokesperson replied: "VW Group's Power Day was about innovative high-performance cell chemistry which is intended for future use in high-performance, limited-production-run cars and in customer motorsport."   So Porsche want to develop high performance batteries of supercars and race cars, what what race cars?   https://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/39859/porsches-future-ev-batteries-will-be-developed-on-the-race-track     ANALYST PREDICTS £18K TESLA COULD BRING ABOUT EVEN CHEAPER £5K EV " As companies gain experience designing and manufacturing EVs and build them in higher volumes, analysts predict that the number of parts needed for an entire vehicle could at some point in the future drop from the 10,000 or so mark today to around 100 (or even less). But with mounting pressure by governments who now favour electric vehicles over ICE, manufacturers may not have a choice and focus more and more on EVs. In fact, the Morgan Stanley analysts say" reports Motor1: " The cheapest ‘real car’ with an electric powertrain that you can currently order in Europe is the Dacia Spring, a subcompact model that costs €16,990 (which equates to approximately £14,550) in France"   https://uk.motor1.com/news/495375/25k-tesla-could-bring-5k-ev/   CLASSIC MGS GET BACK ON THE OPEN ROAD WITH ELECTRIC MAKEOVER "A swathe of companies are now ripping out classic cars’ petrol engines and replacing them with battery systems, or even building all-new replicas of historic vehicles with the latest electric powertrains.  One of the newest entrants to this burgeoning market is Staffordshire-based RBW, which takes original MG designs to build entirely new cars fitted with the company's own electric drivetrain." writes Telegraph.co.uk: "RBW is now road-testing a pre-production model of its electric Roadster which is limited to an 80mph top speed, can hit 60mph in nine seconds and has a 160-mile range.  However, the new Roadster is not as true to the original MGs of the 1960s promise of driving thrills on a budget - RBW's car costs approaching £100,000 "   https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2021/03/20/classic-mgs-get-back-open-road-electric-makeover/   CONTACTLESS PAYMENT PREFERRED "NetX, the project behind a three-socket EV charger, has revealed the results of its charging survey. The Innovate UK-backed project asked both EV and non-EV drivers about how easy it is to charge an electric car, one of the biggest questions for prospective EV drivers according to the study." says CitiMagazine: "For payment solutions, 85% of people said they wanted to pay for public charging by contactless debit or credit card payment or automatic payment on plug in. Only 10% wanted to pay by smartphone app and less than 5% wanted to pay by RFID card or tag."   https://www.cittimagazine.co.uk/news/electric-vehicles-charging/contactless-payment-preferred-by-users-of-public-ev-chargers-study-finds.html     BILL GATES ON THE URGENT SHIFT TO EVS "Batteries are getting better, but it’s hard to see how they’ll ever close this gap. If we’re lucky, they may become up to three times as energy dense as they are now, in which case they would still be 12 times less energy dense than gas or jet fuel. Our best bet is to replace jet fuel with electrofuels and advanced biofuels, but there are hefty premiums that come with them. The same goes for cargo ships. The best conventional container ships can carry 200 times more cargo than either of the two electric ships now in operation, and they can run routes that are 400 times longer. Those are major advantages for ships that need to cross entire oceans. There are four ways to cut down on emissions from transportation. One is to do less of it. Another way to cut down on emissions is to use fewer carbon-intensive materials in making cars to begin with.  The third way to cut down on emissions is to use fuels more efficiently. the fourth — and most effective — way we can move toward zero emissions from transportation: switching to electric vehicles and alternative fuels. We can speed up the transition by adopting policies that encourage people to buy EVs and creating a network of charging stations so they’re more practical to own. Nationwide commitments can help drive up the supply of cars and drive down their cost."   How to Avoid a Climate Disaster: The Solutions We Have and the Breakthroughs We Need https://www.amazon.co.uk/shop/evnewsdaily?listId=3IATFD5L6SDMG&ref=cm_sw_em_r_inf_list_own_evnewsdaily_dp_ZMriPS74X78Nn You can listen to all 1028 previous episodes of this this for free, where you get your podcasts from, plus the blog https://www.evnewsdaily.com/ – remember to subscribe, which means you don’t have to think about downloading the show each day, plus you get it first and free and automatically.   It would mean a lot if you could take 2mins to leave a quick review on whichever platform you download the podcast.   And  if you have an Amazon Echo, download our Alexa Skill, search for EV News Daily and add it as a flash briefing.   Come and say hi on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter just search EV News Daily, have a wonderful day, I’ll catch you tomorrow and remember…there’s no such thing as a self-charging hybrid.     PHIL ROBERTS / ELECTRIC FUTURE (PREMIUM PARTNER) BRAD CROSBY (PREMIUM PARTNER) PORSCHE OF THE VILLAGE CINCINNATI (PREMIUM PARTNER) AUDI CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) VOLVO CARS CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) NATIONALCARCHARGING.COM and ALOHACHARGE.COM  (PREMIUM PARTNER) DEREK REILLY FROM THE EV REVIEW IRELAND YOUTUBE CHANNEL (PREMIUM PARTNER) RICHARD AT RSEV.CO.UK – FOR BUYING AND SELLING EVS IN THE UK (PREMIUM PARTNER)   DAVID AND LISA ALLEN (PARTNER) GARETH HAMER (PARTNER) eMOBILITY NORWAY HTTPS://WWW.EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM/  (PARTNER) BOB BOOTHBY FROM MILLBROOK COTTAGES – 5* GOLD SELF CATERING COTTAGES (PARTNER) DARIN MCLESKEY FROM DENOVO REAL ESTATE (PARTNER) JUKKA KUKONEN FROM WWW.SHIFT2ELECTRIC.COM RAJEEV NARAYAN (PARTNER) IAIN SEAR (PARTNER)   ADRIAN BOND (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALAN SHEDD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEX BANAHENE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEXANDER FRANK @ https://www.youtube.com/c/alexsuniverse42 ANDERS HOVE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ANDREA JEFFERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ANDREW GREEN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ANDY NANCARROW AND LILIAN KASS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASEER KHALID (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BÅRD FJUKSTAD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BLUNDERBUSS JONES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER BRIAN THOMPSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRUCE BOHANNAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHARLES HALL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHRIS HOPKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHRISTOPHER BARTH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) COLIN HENNESSY AND CAMBSEV (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG ROGERS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAMIEN DAVIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID FINCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID MOORE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PARTINGTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PRESCOTT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DC EV (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DON MCALLISTER / SCREENCASTSONLINE.COM (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ED CORTREEN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ERIC HANSEN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ERU KYEYUNE-NYOMBI (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) FREDRIK ROVIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GENE RUBIN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) HEDLEY WRIGHT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) HEINRICH LIESNER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN GRIFFITHS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN (WATTIE) WATKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JACK OAKLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JAMES STORR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JAVIER CARMELO DÍAZ PÉREZ (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JIM MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JOHN SCHROEDER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JON AKA BEARDY MCBEARDFACE FROM KENT EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JON MANCHAK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JUAN GONZALEZ (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEVIN MEYERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LAURENCE D ALLEN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LEE BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LUKE CULLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARCEL WARD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARTY YOUNG  (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIA OPPELSTRUP (PARTNER) MIKE WINTER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NATHAN GORE-BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NATHANIEL FREEDMAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NEIL E ROBERTS FROM SUSSEX EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) OHAD ASTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL STEPHENSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GLASS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GORTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETER & DEE ROBERTS FROM OXON EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHIL MOUCHET (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHILIP TRAUTMAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RAYMOND ROWLEDGE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENE KEEMIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENÉ SCHNEIDER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB FROM THE RSTHINKS EV CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROBERT GRACE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RUPERT MITCHELL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) SEIKI PAYNE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEPHEN PENN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEVE JOHN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) THOMAS J. Gears and Beers: The Unashamedly Unprofessional Automotive Podcast

We are back for episode 186 (though we say it’s 187, it’s not)! After usual bollocks, we talk about – and Mitch rants about – Subaru releasing a dual-cab ute called the Brumby, and seems like it’ll be based on the Toyota Hilux. Mitch then talk about Ferrari releasing the F171, a new 522kw ‘supercar’ powered by a hybrid V6, which is terribly sad, old man Enzo must be rolling in his grave, before talking about Ferrari making a return to LeMans in the new ‘Hypercar’ class (which replaces the LMP1 class). Matt then talks about the Australian automotive sales stats for February 2021. Then Matt goes on a bit of a rant about Volkswagen’s ridiculous SUV-focuses range, then the Range Rover and the Defender, and Matt talks about the RAM TRX (which we have already talked about, but whatever), and the new Hyundai Ioniq 5. Joseph then talks about the new Mitsubishi Express Van – which is just a rebadged Renault Traffic – being the first ever vehicle to get a zero-start ANCAP safety rating, and Mitch finally gets to talk about the new 5.0L Supercharged V8 coming to the Range Rover Defender. Then we talk about AliExpress, Mitch’s favourite website, and Joseph gives an update on how his new differential in his GT86 is going, and Matt talks about what’s being done to his LandCruiser.
