Suddenly the world record conversation has two names in it. We discuss Werro's emergence and potential, the tactical error that may have cost Hodgkinson slightly, and what this means for the possibilities that the oldest world record in the sport falls this yearWhere does Femke Bol fit into all this? The Dutch 400m hurdles star changed events in search of new challenges, but the event is evolving so fast that the challenge looks significantly greater and she's not even raced outdoors yet! We discuss whether her 400 meter speed is a genuine weapon or whether the 400-800 double is as rare as it is for good reasonCooper Lutkenhaus is the most exciting teenager in track and field, already a world indoor champion, and now a Diamond League winner. Global Athlete has responded with a proposal for interim payments and a breakdown of the IOC's finances that is staggering. The IOC is sitting on nearly five billion dollars in reserves, and Global Athlete are asking for eight percent of the Paris broadcasting revenue. We ponder why Coventry made that statement knowing it would invite significant blowback, and what it reveals about the pressure she is under from inside the IOC. We also speculate on whether there are any good reasons to avoid paying Olympic athletesAnna van der Breggen lost the women's Giro on the final day from the pink jersey, her second Grand Tour lead lost this year. So are Chicago and Arlington Heights really out of the running? Will the fans follow the team to Hammond? How did we get here? In The Loop digs in. Our panel today: Indiana State Rep. Still not betraying you. But somewhere along the way — through puberty, pregnancy, and perimenopause — we got the same message dressed up in different language: your body is the problem. Control it. Fix it. Fight it. In this episode, I'm calling that out. Because the hormone conversation happening everywhere right now? It sounds a lot like the diet culture conversation we were having decades ago — just with fancier buzzwords. We're talking about: The Body Distrust Cycle that follows women through every life stage Why consuming more health information than ever has left so many of us feeling more disconnected from our bodies The three foundations you need before you can actually hear what your body is telling you How to tell the difference between a hormone problem and a fueling problem Your body has been adapting and communicating and keeping you alive through all of it. June arrives with a very different energy than May. If the past month felt intense, fast-moving, or emotionally charged, intuitive astrologer Stevie Calista says this month offers something many of us desperately need: space to slow down, reflect, and integrate. We're being invited to pause, review, and reconnect with what truly matters. In This Episode, We're Covering This + MoreThe lingering energy of the rare Sagittarius Blue Moon and what it revealed about your purpose, truth, and vision for the future. The powerful Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer and how it encourages deeper connection, family healing, self-care, and emotional expansion.Chiron, the "Wounded Healer," moves into Taurus on June 19, beginning a major collective healing cycle around self-worth, security, safety, money, and our relationship with the body. The Summer Solstice on June 21 and the beginning of Cancer Season—a time to reconnect with home, family, emotional nourishment, and the people who feel like family.Mercury Retrograde in Cancer (June 29–July 24) and how to work with this reflective period instead of fighting it.The Theme for June: CuriosityIf there's one word Stevie wants us to carry through June, it's curiosity. When emotions surface, old wounds are activated, or uncertainty arises, ask:What is this here to teach me?What perspective am I missing? How can I meet this moment with compassion instead of judgment? The biggest breakthroughs often come through the challenges. As Stevie reminds us, it's the difficult astrological aspects that move the needle and create lasting growth.MORE FROM STEVIE CALISTAWebsite: steviecalista.com https://steviecalista.comInstagram: @farmhousemoonSubstack: Letters From The Stars https://substack.com/@farmhousemoonMORE ON CHIRONRobyn references our conversation with clinical psychologist, astrologer, and Chiron expert Dr. Lisa Tahir, who integrates Chiron's wisdom into her therapeutic and healing work. Listen to learn the emotional impact of revealing secrets vs discovering them. In this episode Stu, Chas and Mel apply the Landmark–Hidden–Secret framework (from DZ-126) across two very different genres: the thriller SIDE EFFECTS (2013) and the tragicomic pilot of SHRINKING. SIDE EFFECTS is a film of two genres. The first half plays as a drama about depression and over-medication; the second half is a 90s thriller. We talk about how every time Dr Jonathan Banks uncovers a new piece of information, it puts him in danger — and that danger motivates him to uncover more. In SHRINKING, we see a different use of the framework. "What are psychologists but detectives of the mind?" Rather than the cost of finding secrets, it's about the cost of sharing them. Chas also comes out of this with a paradigm he's been building toward (but we're keeping what that is secret until you listen!) And inevitably we go on some tangents: whether SIDE EFFECTS should even have been an erotic thriller! In this special Need to Know episode, Bryce Zabel, Richard Dolan, and producer Tyler Stevens react in real time to the Trump administration's first major UFO/UAP file release. The discussion covers the massive batch of documents, military ISR videos, NASA transcripts, Cold War intelligence reports, and historical FBI material that suddenly pushed the UFO topic back into mainstream headlines. While much of the material had already circulated through FOIA requests and archives like The Black Vault, the hosts argue that the significance lies in the government officially centralizing and publicly presenting the information in one place. They debate whether the release represents genuine progress toward disclosure or simply another controlled "slow drip" operation designed to manage public perception rather than resolve the mystery. The episode also explores the growing tension between public expectations and institutional transparency. Dolan emphasizes that true disclosure would require undeniable evidence such as recovered craft or clear multisensor footage, while Tyler Stevens highlights frustration within the UFO community over selective releases, media coordination, and the continued gatekeeping of potentially stronger evidence. The conversation dives into UFO history, Apollo astronaut encounters, unexplained military footage, Spielberg's upcoming film Disclosure Day, and the cultural shift happening around the topic. Together, the hosts frame the current moment as part of a larger battle between secrecy and public demand, arguing that while the file release may not be "disclosure," it does show the UFO subject entering a new phase of visibility, political pressure, and mainstream relevance.  Need To Know producer - Tyler aka ASTRAL https://x.com/The_Astral_ https://www.youtube.com/@UCU2eS5pTsp_PP8Bn7F2QHyA

This month we're on episode 83 and my guest is Berlin based DJ, producer, and subglow boss CCL. Even if you've never seen a @ccl-url DJ set, you've probably listened to one of their many, many mixtapes — the consummate dreamweaver, CCL's musical storytelling is unparalleled in its ingenuity. Unbound by genre, tempo, or style, and with a massive archive to back them up, CCL's mixtapes are a lesson in world-building and deep sonic imagination. Their T4T mixtape A Night At the Skull Discotheque, and their NTS series Invisible Cities, which transforms an imagined city into a musical journey, have become instant classics, a perfect extension of their DJing which also seeks to explore, experiment, and express. In this conversation, we delve into CCL's relationship to creativity, their commitment to pushing their own boundaries, and their pursuit of explosive imagination. ++ MUSIC CCL - "Plot Twist" (2024) CCL - "The Plot Thickens" ft. This story includes three main actors: God, Philip, and the Ethiopian official. Phillip is in the middle of a incredible revival when God sends him to a desert road. The Ethiopian official is traveling home after worshipping God in Jerusalem, but his experience was limited because he would have been barred from entering the Temple precincts. Why was he barred? Because he was not physically sound, that is, he was a eunuch. But God sends Philip as a plot twist to meet the Eunuch, who had been excluded from the Temple, with the good news about Jesus, the One who welcomes all who believe. A good plot twist makes for a great movie! A good plot twist puts us on the edge of our seats as we see characters' lives move into a different direction and a new reality. When God steps into our lives, we can experience our own plot change. God can take away our guilt. God can bring healing when we least expect it. God can provide for us when we feel like hope is lost. God can see value in us when no one else does. Join us as we look at the stories of four people in scripture who experienced a divine plot twist. You'll learn how God wants to step into your life and change your story. Better looking gay men have it easier. More matches, more attention, more forgiveness in every room they walk into. Gay culture did not invent pretty privilege but it turned it into a full contact sport, and gay men over 40 have been taking the hits for decades. Today I go solo and deep on why gay culture amplifies appearance-based hierarchies beyond anything straight culture produces, what the better looking guy is actually carrying that nobody talks about, and why the real damage is not the privilege itself but the moment you handed your self-worth to a community that was never going to give it back. Key Takeaways: Why pretty privilege is real in the gay world and why gay culture makes it significantly worseWhat the conventionally attractive gay man is actually carrying that looks nothing like freedomHow apps turned daily rejection into a measurable number on your worthWhen gay men over 40 stopped deciding their own value and started waiting for the room to decideWhy stopping the negotiation is the only move that actually changes anything About Rick Gay men over 40 are done negotiating. Done tolerating careers that don't fit, relationships that stopped working, and lives built for someone else's approval. Rick Clemons is the coach, speaker, author, and podcast host who meets them there and helps them decide what comes next. Rick's approach is direct, grounded, and unapologetically adult. No therapy-speak. No motivational fluff. Just honest conversation and a clear path forward for gay men ready to stop flirting with change and actually make it. He is the author of Frankly My Dear, I'm Gay and the forthcoming Perfect Detour: A Gay Man's Guide to Handling Life's Plot Twists...and His Own Bullshit. His highly acclaimed podcast, 40 Plus: Gay Men, Gay Talk, has built a devoted global following of gay men navigating midlife and beyond with honesty and zero apology.
